So we went over to have dinner. 6 of us. Arrived at 6:30 period got on the list we were told it would be an hour and 20 minutes. At 9:15 we left we had still not been seated. Be prepared to be overcharged for sub quality. Beers served in a can, five bucks. Don't sit out back by the stairs it reeks like a dumpster. Two appetizers three rounds of drinks a hundred bucks and we never had dinner.

Great food, interesting menu, and wonderful service. BBQ tacos were killer! Bowls are good. Mmmmm good!

Went to HG for late afternoon drinks. Went up to the rooftop bar, which is very nice. It was cool the night we were, but, they have some very attractive and efficient heaters to help with the chill. Nice selection of craft beer, both on draught and bottles are available. Small selection of munchies available, the veggie avocado dip is excellent. Got treated with a really nice sunset and the view of downtown is very appealing. Service was brisk, efficient and friendly. Worth a trip.

As a vegetarian, eating out in Dallas is always a challenge. HG SPLY Co. was a breath of fresh air with lots of vegetarian options, sensible serving sizes and friendly service. The Quinoa burger was so much better than it sounds....moist patty and soft bread. The roof top is a great spot for drinks with friends too. This spot might become my 'regular' during my trips to Dallas.

HG Sply really lived up to the hype. I was very pleased with the ambience, the service, the food, and the value. My wife and I each enjoyed a quinoa dish - hers were the "meatballs" in a bowl with a bunch of other stuff. Mine was the "burger." Both were great, and I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch! Don't remember our server's name, but she was excellent. Perfect blend of checking in on us and not over-doing it. The place hopping and SUPER loud, which was fun. But don't expect to have a quiet convo here. The one thing I didn't enjoy was that the table they seated us at was about 6 inches from the tables to our left and right. Very tight and pretty awkward, as it was difficult not to involved in the conversations and meals of the tables next to us. That could be improved. But overall, a great time and great meal. We will most certainly be back.

This place was awesome! Unique menu with good food to choose from. The steak was awesome! They also did a sunset toast to thank customers- very cool, what an awesome experience for a new customer! Once done eating, the rooftop bar was so fun. Tons of space with big tables and cooling fans. Plus, you get a view of downtown. An overall great place.

Fun place to hangout with friends on a rooftop bar/restaurant overlooking downtown Dallas. Lots of seating and the bar is large and well staffed.

We stopped for a cocktail before dinner. Took a seat at the outdoor bar and were served promptly. Ordered a great P2 cocktail (Pimms and Pineapple) that was unique and quite yummy albeit $11. My husband had a blood and honey beer and enjoyed it as well. The menu looked quite interesting and doable on a low carb/clean/gluten free diet (pick one) which is unusual in this area. Wonderful fresh ingredients and hopping on a Saturday night.

A friend took me to this place as my first place to eat in Dallas. I enjoyed it very much. We had some ribs as a starter and duck and meatballs as main course. The food that came out was looking nice and very tasty. The service we got was very attentive and smiling. For the price of the meal we were offered also a 3 day gym membership and a t-shirt to increase the month of man awareness. Great place for easy going , quite lunch.

The restaurant has a variety of options for seating. Because it was a delightful May Day we choose to sit outside. The service was very good. Three of the four people at our table really liked the food, while one was disappointed and said the wouldn’t rush back. I thought it was okay and would return. Not bad, but not a favorite.

I always take my out of town guests here, it amazing food and spirits! I like how the do their 'toast at sunset' to finish off a great day!

The industrial atmosphere is relaxed & inviting. The food is fresh & delicious. We enjoy the sunset toast the MOD does every M-F for all patrons. It's an opportunity to try a new spirit or champagne, hear something positive from the manager & to celebrate. The rooftop bar has an incredible view of the Dallas skyline. The sunset atop is breathtaking. The lighting is perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Try the stir fry bowl and/or the queso. The Moscow mules and the Old Fashion cocktails are perfection. One last note - ask for Q. She is the best server on the planet.

This is an excellent spot. It was our first night in Dallas and we were stay nearby. We were very tired after just getting off a long flight. We just needed some food before we went to bed. We weren't expecting a lot. We dropped in here and they got us a lovely table outside. And then food when it came was perfect. Could not fault it. We left the place refreshed and enthusiastic. The staff were lovely too.

The curry dish was to die for. We went there for a Sunday brunch with 6, all liked their choices. A bit on the pricey side for what the place is, a bit on the rustic side inside. But if its the food (taste) your going after, this is the place.

what's better than farm to table when you can pick all your favorite ingredients ... it's all about me and everything that I like ... haven't been on the upstairs deck, or fought off many crowds here but it's filling and delicious at lunch ... they also have some tasty "funky" and healthy drinks not sure why anyone wouldn't go ... it's unique, not a chain, healthy food, fresh everything and a terrific and helpful wait staff ... beside if you fail to try this "find" in dallas, it will be easier for me to get a table next time ... thanks in advance

Sat outside on the patio for happy hour and dinner. Drinks were pretty tasty, really liked the frozen beet margarita. Pork carnitas nachos were ok, probably the best food we had. Burger was ok but nothing special, crispy ranch chicken likewise. We might go back for happy hour on a nice day - either on the patio or rooftop. Interior decor looked good, was relatively open to the outside for fresh air.

A must for us every time we visit Dallas. The bowls are a great choice because it allows to choose from their vegetables and protein choices. The sprouts are the best, and the pulled pork to die for. Great choices if cocktails and wines. Deserts are equally delicious.

This was my friend's and my first trip to HG Supply Co. and it won't be our last! I started with a cup of the Curried Sweet Potato soup which was excellent! It was smooth with a slight heat finish. She had the Sweet & Spicy Pork Short Ribs that she talked about all through the meal! Then I had the Quinoa Burger, which normally doesn't sound appetizing but was it ever good! It had layers of flavor with the carrot hummus and avocado and topped off with a fresh empire bun. The quinoa was moist and had the consistency of beef or turkey, not dry at all! And to finish our lunch, we had Pumpkin Cheesecake and OMG it was the BEST pumpkin cheesecake I have ever had! It was light with the perfect blend of pumpkin and spices and resting on a loose bed of toasted pumpkin seeds and pecans. I ate all of it and I wasn't even that hungry! Our server, Marcus, was very attentive and had a great personality and the atmosphere was very urban yet warm. All in all a great experience!

One of the best date night spots we have been too. There were so many gluten free options. I had the salmon poke tacos, the fried chicken sandwich and fries (all made in a gluten free fryer) and the gluten free cookie skillet. I can't recommend it enough.

I came here with my best friend before we went to a concert. The atmosphere is great, but the vegetarian options we got were not anything to get excited over and felt a bit pricey for what they were.

All agreed that this place is SUPER noisy and not a good place for first time meetings. My niece picked this hip newish restaurant for her 25th bday dinner. And, as a time to meet her new beau. I feel like it is a better choice for 25-45 year olds to be honest. Some of us liked our food and some did not. The nachos were good, but we left most of the chips on the plate (I found them tasteless and dry). All three of us that had the turkey club sandwiches deconstructed them and had parts of them left over on our plates. I did not like the guacamole on mine AND my bacon was not cooked well at all (I had specifically ordered extra crispy on the side). The fries were very mediocre. The pork tacos seemed to be a hit. The burger was not. The Kobe beef bowl was. The chocolate cake was liked by those who had it, but it was heavy. In my opinion, the food is overpriced for the quality. The service was just ok. The place is super noisy.

We ate dinner at HG Supply Co with friends. The restaurant was very busy but we got a table without reservations (6pm Sunday). The server was good and was attentive but not intrusive. I had the zucchini noodle bowl with salmon and it was excellent. I thought a couple of the other bowls sounded interesting -- the stack and the stir fry--but I went with the safe bet. Next time, I will try another because everything looked good. My husband had a burger and gobbled it up. It was a generous size and the presentation was good as well. One friend had a custom bowl with salmon and brussels sprouts and sweet potato and the other had a shrimp dish. They both said their dinners were very good. The rooftop patio looked very inviting but it was too hot that night for us to want to be outside. The only negative thing I can say is that it was very loud in the restaurant.

We are not from Dallas but we purposely put this on our list for our return after eating there three years ago. It did not disappoint! We were thrilled to discover a wonderful rooftop bar this time. Had no idea it was up there and the heaters and fire pits made it very pleasant on a chilly night. No processed food here, all freshly prepared and quite good tasting as well as good for you. I tried the Delmonico steak and it was incredible. Rather large too so bring your appetite. Loved the brussels sprouts with it as well. My wife had a bowl while our associate had the ribs. No complaints from our table and the plates were nearly licked clean! Not the least expensive option but at least you know you are getting great food. Oh yeah, get the gluten free chocolate cake for dessert. Downstairs, the service was friendly from start to finish. Only negative is that service in the upstairs bar was nonexistent unless I went to the bar itself. Bartender was great and helpful. We did have a server come by when we were finished with our drinks who took our empty glasses but didn't ask if we wanted anything else. Parking can be tough for all businesses in the area but we got lucky. There are valet services nearby if you prefer. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially those that like to make sure they are eating healthy but not forced to eat rabbit food to do so. Real. Good. Food. Cheers!

Came here for din + tailz and it rocked our life. Ahi tuna poke salad, followed by steak bowl [rare] paired with some Rose....are you kidding me with that combo? Just blown away by deliciousness. Did I mention they have a rooftop you can journey up to after dinner for some casual hangs and drinks? We live here now. THX HG SPLY!

We came here recently to hang out on the rooftop bar and have drinks. The drinks were good though not heavy on the alcohol. lThe service was great view of downtown is exceptional. It's a fun little place to run into. I've heard that the food is great but we didn't give it a try that night.

Second time here and very very disappointed with our meals... I wrote an excellent review in Oct. 2014. Drinks are 1/2 off the price until 6pm and they're good. Appetizer is excellent! Service is good! But! Here comes the BUT... meals are totally different, and not in a good way! I didn't see it coming! Last year it was slick modern delight, This year it was Oh NO, What is that?! Lamb meatballs and curry mix looks like soup. We paid $ 19+tax+tips for a BOWL OF SOUP! It was only 5 little tiny meatballs, and we not even sure it was lamb. My steak was cut in strips! I didn't ask to do so. I like to cut my own stake! And it was laying on a bed if black beans from a can. No taste! No flavor! Ordered a "fresh farm egg" sunny-side-up, got just few crumbles of scrambled egg. They have a different kitchen staff and new menu - that should of be an alert! Talking to the manager and all we heard: aha, aha, aha. They are NOT going to do anything! We are NOT going back!

The skinny: The frozen Moscow Mule set the stage for an awesome lunch experience. The drinks, food and ambience are worth the limited parking options. The heavy: My family and I were referred to HG Supply after a failed and horrible experience to try and eat at Rapscallion. We were a walk-in group of 4 with 2 on the way. HG was able to push two tables together and accommodate our seating needs although our entire party was not there and they had an almost full house. The space was full of table conversations, empty glasses of liquid satisfaction and food. The patrons to the left and right of us gave us ideas of what to get and in what combination. I can't speak for the others but I opted for the tuna poke (tartar), and the turkey club. As you know already I went for the frozen Moscow mule, twice, and a "Mexican Coke" as out was titled on the menu. The wait staff was less than friendly but given the amount of people I let out slide having waited tables myself in a former life (college). Once the drink and food were presented and my fork was inn my hand there was nothing but me and the food and it was a great thirty minute relationship. The tuna was full of flavor and other peoples forks. The turkey was Hugh with a side of garlic brussel sprouts. The drinks, meal and ambience was an over all gran experience. Had it not been for the horrible experience at the Rapscallion I would have not found this delicious treasure. Highly recommended for lunch and drinks with friends and family. Cheers,

I did! Pablano cauliflower grits! These were very good! Could have fooled me for real grits! Steak, grilled zucchini and guacamole were all very good. Service was exceptional. Good food, better for you? I'm a fan!

Mike S was amazing. He handled me with care and helped me pick the perfect meal. The food was everything. My first great food experience in DALLAS🥰

Definitely visit HG SPLY if you’re looking for the best of dallas culture. Delicious, healthy food keeps me coming back time after time.

We were a group of 20 that went there on a week day. Place is nice, trendy but could not pre book table. Staff however went out their way to create a large seating area by bar and all were friendly. Would say food options are limited and kitchen struggled to get it out. Overall very good.

They have the best rooftop in all of dallas. For anything you need, drinks, eats, parties, etc. They can accommodate anything and you get an amazing view of downtown dallas!

The food is excellent, I had the yellow curry and it was perfect… The service was attentive but not annoying from Edmundo(?) I believe🤷🏾♂️ omg-Save room for the chocolate dessert… It is killer .......we will be back!

The atmosphere and food at HG Supply company is great. Went here on the recommendation of a local. Would definitely repeat when in town.

I have been to HG Supply many times to the rooftop and it is a great spot with a limited menu that is very good. But recently I ate in the restaurant from the full menu for lunch. The atmosphere is great, the food is so fresh, farm to table, no preservatives and it was superb! Service was great too!

It is always fun to take newbies to HG Sply. Probably one of the most creatively fresh restaurant concepts out there anywhere. The HG stands for Hunter Gatherer and they really go to town on this concept. Most everything on the menu is organic and gluten free and made daily in house. There are many unique Quinoa dishes from Quinoa Meat Balls, Quinoa Burger, Quinoa hash and more. For appetizers, you cannot go wrong with the Pulled Pork Nachos (Conchinita) or the Ginger Garlic Hummas. Dinner is always a dilemma as the menu is so diverse with tasty organic fare, it is always difficult to pick just one. The Hunter Gatherer Bowls are deliciously fun as you choose your Hunter selection (Beef, chicken, quinoa balls, salmon, pork etc.) and then choose from a plethora of Gatherer bowl fillings from yellow curry veggies, Poblano Cauliflower Grits, to Zucchini Pasta and more). Being true carnivores, we usually go for the Kobe Burger, The Bone In Short Rib (succulent, huge, and not short), or the Delmonico Steak cooked rare to perfection. If at all possible, (and if you have 4 to 6 people) save room for the Chocolate Kettle-bell. Yep, its a chocolate bell shaped bowl filled with non other than strawberry cheesecake, almond ice-cream, coconut crumble, and then drizzled with caramel. HG Sply has a a wonderful laid back funky woodsy decor, a vibrant, attentive staff (and crowd) and a terrific patio and rooftop. The bar also serves up some interesting house cocktails (and a darn good gin martini if I say so myself). HG Sply would usually receive a 5 star review but on this night the only minor hiccup was that they ran out of Delmonico steaks. Two of our dining guests had to re-select their dinner entrees. But no worries, they loved their second choices equally as well. HG Sply has all the ingredients for a perfect dining experience. We highly recommend a visit very soon. But get reservations, they are generally booked up.

It’s alwsys good here. The service the atmosphere. The food. The are always willing to accommodate to any and all food allergies and modifications like it’s no big deal. Everything is good so it’s fun to try new items on the menu. It’s open and welcoming. Fun and casual.

This restaurant had long been on our list of places to visit, so it took an out of town visit and a friend who had already been to get us there and we were not disappointed. The menu is a bit funky, but in a good way. The "bowls" are one of their most popular items which are great sine you get to choose the base as well as the protein which is added. They have other standard items as well if you do not care for the selection of bowls. There is a full bar and good choice of wines by the glass. The expansive rooftop patio with some of the best views of downtown Dallas is undoubtedly the thing that keeps bringing people back. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the patio is even pet friendly. On a Sunday night there were a few dogs there. We will definitely brings our back for a future visit.

The view of the Dallas skyline from the rooftop is amazing and the saving grace of this place - you go for the view. The rooftop atmosphere is extremely comforting and not impossible to find a table. The bar staff, particularly the female bartenders, are atrocious - if you are a female and want any shot at getting decent service or a good drink, definitely scope out the male bartenders.

I enjoyed both the food and atmosphere at HG Supply. The patio was really nice even though it was cold outside. The fire pit provided adequate heat to be comfortable. The wait staff were attentive and kind. We had the Quinoa Burger with fries and the Vegan Queso. Both were delicious. The only drawback was the noice level inside the restaurant. I really enjoyed my visit and will return. Would love to know how they made Vegan Queso so delicious.

HG Supply has some of the most unique drinks in Dallas and some incredible local drafts. Get the Brussel Sprouts and at least try the Chilli. They also do a toast every night thanking everyone who came to dine. Incredible place with great service.

Their roof-top deck is massive and really cool. Drinks were great (try their version of a Moscow Mule), and the nachos were awesome. We ate dinner downstairs and all had a different kind of bowl. I had the duck, which was quite tasty, and my husband and friends enjoyed their steak and chicken bowls. We had the "bread pudding" for dessert. I put it in quotes because they don't use any dairy products, so it really tasted more like french toast, but it was super yummy regardless. Parking was a beatdown, but I would go back.

Our meal was delightful and was able to try everything that the others ordered. We started with the brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were fantastic. We spent a fair amount of conversation on just how to recreate it them at home. The meals are fresh, healthy, and unpretentious a real win for Dallas. For dessert we chose the surprise me option and had a wonderful banana bread type dessert.

This restaurant came recommended using yelp and Tripadvisor. The restaurant just kept coming up. We got there and were greeted quickly and sat down pretty fast. I have to say I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted because everything sounded good. This place is vegan friendly, but don’t let that dissuade you from going if you’re not vegan. They had lots of options. I had the bison chili, which was amazing. We also had some avocado hummus, which was super good. We also had the vegan queso. I’m not gonna lie. I was a little skeptical on the vegan queso, but it was super super good! the drinks were awesome. My friend was pleased that there was nonalcoholic options. I had the opposite and it was great. The service was outstanding and we recommended the place to friends who went the next night. I’ll be definitely going again when I go back to Dallas.

Three individuals had lunch which consistent of lunch, with 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 cokes, 2 coffees and 2 deserts. The menu is quite different from other restaurants with a wide selection of food and combination of foods one would usually not choose. The restaurant was busy for a Monday. Very youthful consistent with being in Uptown, Texas. Parking was a bit challenged but not exceptionally hard. There was no valet. Food was good and service was attentive. Overall, however the bill was over $100 which seemed high for Dallas and high for the amount of food provided.

I found this restaurant on a search for gluten free options and we are so happy we found them. We had a party of four with only one gluten free. Our waitress was so sweet, since it was our first time in the area she brought us an appetizer as a welcome to the area. All of our food was excellent and as sunset on Thursday's they do a special wine toast with the entire restaurant. We had dinner then went up to their rooftop bar which has beautiful views of the cities skyline. Can't wait to get back to thus gem on a return visit.

This is one of my favorite spots to eat at in Dallas! The food is amazing and has a lot of great vegan options. All made with great produce from scratch in house. You can really taste the high quality of produce in the food. The Moscow mules here are some of the best I have had in Dallas, but they aren't cheap. My absolute favourite dish is the mouth watering Brussel sprouts! Once you are done dinner, I highly recommend going to the roof top for a drink and to enjoy the beautiful Dallas Skyline.

Gluten free, dairy free, paleo friendly menu. Everything we ate was delicious. Loved the ambiance- exposed brick walls, subway tile, pallet walls, Edison bulbs. We had the hummus, gluten/dairy free burger, short ribs and sweet potato hash.

A group of about 8 met here for a business dinner. Pulled pork nachos for an appetizer were delicious. Server delivered each person in the restaurant a cocktail glass and a manager stood up and made a toast. Said they do this every night at sunset as a way of saying thank you to their customers. The sunset toast was a Mexican beer that was light and refreshing. After I ordered a Beet margarita. It looked unusual but tasted great, nothing unusual about it but the color. Hamburger and fries were well prepared and tasty. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and I would definitely come back again.

This place was recommended to us by a girl working in a nearby shop. I really enjoyed the "build your own bowl" concept. The bowls were unique and had fresh, healthy ingredients. I had "The Stack" with a Kobe beef burger. It was served on top of sweet potato hash and avocado with an egg on top. I was happy with my food and felt good about what I ate. My husband had a burger which was just ok. The fries weren't great and the juice which was good but quite pricey. Our service was very slow and spotty, but it was an odd time of day. Cool concept, healthy options, laid back atmosphere. I would eat here again and give it another shot.

I 'built my own' bowl. Cauliflower grits, zuccini, salmon and salsa. The. Best. Meal. Ever. The service is Excellent. We will go back - this is our second time here. Passion Fruit Cheesecake is AWESOME. Oh, even though the parking lots have 'designated' restaurants, they ARE public parking. Just park.

We went with a group of colleagues to the HG at random, looking in the area for a place to dine. As it was early we went up to the rooftop for a drink before dinner. Nice view, semi desert rooftop but the service was still very slow and they brought us food when we were already getting up. Also you can't order at the rooftop from the restaurant menu below and vice versa, absurd! Anyway, we decide to sit at the restaurant for dinner. The drinks arrived after almost half an hour, the food after an hour. There are better places around!

At the risk of sounding old (I'm only 26), the only thing I didn't like about this place was how loud it was inside. The food was great, the drink selection was nice and varied, I enjoyed the music and the videos that were being projected at the wall, but I could barely hear what the people across the table were saying. I'm all for the industrial, brick wall interior that is popular right now (especially in breweries), but if it affects the acoustics enough to take away from one of the pillars of going out for dinner (conversation), then something needs to be done. Still a great place, just loud.

Food is excellent. It's difficult to decide but the salmon was cooked perfect. Service was top notch with a very friendly waiter. Love to sit on the patio and watch the crowd at lunch.

Feels like Austin has come to Dallas! The food is interesting, good and fresh. The location is convenient to those of us living in east or central Dallas. The atmosphere is fantastic! The inside dining room is great and the roof top patio is the best! Plenty of fireplaces for cool days or nights and a little coverage for sunny days. Great place to hang out with friends. Really enjoyed it.

One of my favorite Dallas spots. The food is great & unique, the staff is so nice, and the drinks are delicious! My favorite tradition is the restaurant wide sunset toast. It’s fun and a good way to try drinks that you maybe wouldn’t have tried otherwise. I would definitely recommend the froze!

We sat on the rooftop. I loved the atmosphere and the food was great. However, the service was awful. A waiter took our order and didn't enter it so we sat and waited on our food for over 30 min before a waitress realized it hadn't been entered. She took our order and the food took a while. We often had empty drinks. My eggs were cooked wrong and jelly was not brought w my meal (per menu) but the waitress never came back by. I finally had to go find her to tell her. Then they finally brought me my egg cooked correctly but only 1. The order came w two. Oh and again the waitress didn't come to check on us so i couldn't ask for salt and pepper. By the then we had waited so long it was ridiculous so we just left. Food was great though.

We dined at HG Supply on a Sunday early evening. Booked on Open Table and were seated immediately. We started with pulled pork tacos and honey Brussel sprouts. The tacos were excellent, however the Brussel sprouts lacked flavor. Next, we had the stir fry chicken bowl and brick chicken. Both were great. Good service and ambience.

I'm a vegan and my husband is not, so it was great being able to go somewhere that had so many delicious choices for both of us! I was literally spoilt for choice which doesnt happen often and the food was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, would definitely go again when we are next in Dallas!

Went to the roof top patio to sit by the many fires. There is plenty of seating. Did not see any wait staff on the patio, had to go to the bar and you can only order about 6 dishes to eat. We sat for awhile and enjoyed the fresh air and went downstairs to eat in the restaurant, we were seated right away on a busy Saturday night, but seemed most of the hustle was people making their way to the roof. The food was excellent! Farm to fork concept. It was fresh and healthy, not too big of a portion. We ordered the same meal a bowl with zucchini and vegetables, he ordered lamb meatballs. I ate every single bite. Definitely will be back.

Good healthy choices. The view is superb on the rooftop. My Favorite spot for quick after work bite and drinks.

Looking for a fun, chic and chill roof top bar to enjoy a drink with friend, I recommend HG Sply Co. A few friends from the area brought this visitor there to relax and kick back. I did exactly that. Loved the vibe from the staff and locals. Good music and a nice rustic decor. I would definitely come back and when I do I'll have to try the restaurant menu.

One of the best rooftop bars! I did not order food, but had a bite of my friends chili, which was delicious. Great place for drinks, downtown view and over-the-top great atmosphere.

I visited HG SPLY Co. during a recent overnight trip to Dallas, and really enjoyed it. There are great happy hour specials (50% off appetizers and $3 draft beers on the night of my visit) and a really creative menu that is equally friendly to carnivores and vegetarian/vegan diners. I ordered an appetizer, a burger and dessert, and the highlight was definitely the fantastic Kobe burger with a local egg added on for good measure. If the weather is accommodating, definitely dine on the roof - there's a beautiful bar, an herb garden and quiet dining areas. As others have pointed out, the indoor dining room gets extremely loud at about 5 p.m. and stays that way. My only complaint (and reason for not giving a five-star review) is the tight fit and the volume level, as well as the interesting decision to project sports onto the walls of an otherwise very classy and intimate space. Where I was seated, there was literally a baseball game being projected on the wall immediately above my table, which was just kind of odd. With a little more elbow room and no projectors pointed at diners, this would be my perfect restaurant!

Day drinking has never been better! Great food, great drinks and a wonderful ambiance. The restaurant was PACKED so don't go without reservations on a weekend night!

I really like the look of HG and the food and service was great also . We had a mix of starters and all were good . I really liked the nachos . I went with the curry with salmon and it was really good . Most of the table had the coffee crusted steak and gave great feedback . All the sides were good , Brussels and sweet potato were top notch . Wish I would have had time for dessert , but I will be back .

HG Sply is known for their fresh bowls. I selected the Fried Rice and it was delicious. My daughter's Stir Fry bowl with shrimp was a hit. The dessert of blueberry lemon cheesecake was a little rich for me but very tasty.

Fun gastropub in lowest Greenville area. Parking lot is over on Prospect Ave. Wide ranging menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan choices. Our server was phenomenal! We want to go back and try more things. Highly recommended. Rooftop patio opens after 5pm in August.

This bar offers excellent downtown views and even in the winter is great because of their heat lamps.

I came for a surprise birthday party last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed myself. We had a few table on the rooftop deck and it could not have been a better reception. Let's go over the goods and not-so-goods of the evening: The Goods: • The food is amazing. Delicious, luscious, juicy, bursting with flavor (sweet potatoes, pork loin, chicken breast, pulled pork nachos) • The waitstaff is on point. We didn't have to wait for anything. They were always circling and making sure everything was running smoothly, even amidst the chaos of having so many people at all the tables on the roof. • The drink menu is pretty stout, and they are all delicious The Not-so-Goods: • Lower Greenville is awesome, but parking can be a real pain. Valet it, or choose your own adventure later • The drinks are expensive. Their "infused" bourbon is tasty, but very low alcohol, very high sugar, and a very high price tag for a plastic cup of simple syrup and a splash of bourbon • It can look and feel like you're in an American Eagle Outfitters commercial on the rooftop deck. Not necessarily bad, but parents and 40-somethings should be advised that it can feel little bit "college-bar" at times. The goods outweigh the not-so-goods, clearly. I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it. In fact, I'm going back for dinner and drinks with some friends later this week – this time, however, I'll stick to a stronger drink or a cheaper one. Also, I'll valet.

I really liked this place! The bunless hamburger was pretty good and I liked my boyfriends burger as well! The best parts of the meal were the ranch and fries though!! Also the frozen margarita with beet juice was yummy! The rooftop area with lights and fireplaces was the best though! Good music choices too- old school hip hop type ☺️

What can I say besides this place was pretty awesome! My friend and I decided one Sunday after brunch that we would try this place out for their happy hour! Super excited when I found out they have a rooftop deck because let's be honest, who doesn't love a great view while dining/drinking. When we arrived, there were plenty staff members available to greet us and get our table ready. We informed them that this would be just for drinks and no food was necessary. Our server was a cool guy but he wasn't as attentive as I like. On two occasions we had to ask for somebody else to grab him for us so we could order more drinks. No biggie but had it not been for that I would've given the 5 stars that I'm almost positive they can receive on a future visit. Although I didn't get to try the food, I would like to return and check out a few items on their menu that sparked some interest. Overall, pretty good visit. I have to say also that I really enjoyed the whole ambiance of the place, very lively, upbeat, great energy here so i will be back for sure on my next trip to Dallas!

I give this place 5 stars because I got drunk and because the hostesses were great. They were fun and high energy. Forgot their names but 2 black girls working Halloween during the day. They were great at their job and made me laugh. Rooftop has nice views. Drinks were good.

So, I had heard a lot about the place from friends, and a friend took a group of us there for dinner. The hostess was very friendly, even though we didn't have a reservation, they sat us right away. There is a long creative list of cocktails, which we tried several of with no disappointments(They are pricey though, Dallas, isn't NYC). The menu is fun, however the "bowls" some of which are their own creations or you can build your own ( pick the meat, veggies, rice or noodles, and sauce) overwhelm the menu, the need more entrees, the place is too trendy and in a good neighborhood to have "bowls that are step up from Chipotle". The pork tenderloin was great, the chili was amazing, but the burger had ABSOLUTELY ZERO FLAVOR, and the fries were soggy. On the upnote, the desserts were great. Might give it another try, but the menu needs help, so I'll probably wait to see if there are any changes before I go back.

HG has a great menu. You can create your own dish by picking your protein, pick your base and pick your sauce. I had pulled pork over a quinoa salad and a spicy sauce. Very tasty and filling. There are more traditional dishes as well with a general theme of Paleo friendly. The decor is industrial chic and there is rooftop seating. I went for a business lunch and the service was very crisp.

Fun trendy restaurant with great paleo friendly food! My husband and I truly enjoyed are food and the service. Love the whole bowl concept! Zucchini Pasta bowl and the Yellow Curry Beef bowls were very good and the Honey Garlic Brussel Sprouts were amazing! The whole menu was full of healthy entrees. We also took advantage of the complimentary valet they offered that night.

We enjoyed a tasty meal and attentive service. Recommend the kobe beef ranch burger and the lamb stack. Bustling atmosphere on a Thursday night. Fun place that can accommodate Gluten-Free.

The couple (friends) we went with loved this place. My wife and I thought it was okay. I had the Angus burger on a gluten-free bun with cilantro lime rice, and my wife had a veggie club with green beans. Can't recall what the other couple had, but again, they loved it.

My wife and I went on a double date to HG Supply over the weekend. It has one of the best rooftop patios in Dallas. I recommend getting to HG Supply about 30 minutes before your reservation and ordering a drink on the rooftop. It was much less crowded and we found a cool place to sit than after dinner when we headed back up again. They serve a tasty frozen beet margarita and a Moscow mule. Plus, we were blown away when a rooftop server brought us waters without us even asking! Had great service. The menu tries to do away with as much processed foods as possible. So there was no bread basket. But everything had a fresh taste and the chefs made some great combinations. We all split the veggies and humus, and then ordered the steak and tuna bowls. We then split the bread pudding for dessert (we didn't ask if it was gluten free but it was really good). It was not a ton of food but was enough. We didn't have to be rolled out like we do after eating at most tex-mex places... Definitely recommend that you try HG Supply.

This farm to table restaurant doesn’t disappoint ! The atmosphere is awesome , farm fresh indgredients and outstanding staff . If you’re looking for a specific tune be sure to make a reservation , otherwise you can wait in the upstairs bar which is also great !

We came here after searching at length for restaurants for my wife's keto diet that were a more than just taking the bun off a burger. We ended up coming here and made a reservation the day before (which was a good idea, because the place was packed). They actually called us a few hours before the reservation to confirm it. We each got the Hunter/Gatherer bowls. I got the mexican pulled pork with the tex-mex bowl, and my wife got the grilled shrimp and 'grits'. Everything we ate was amazing. The drinks were a tad bit pricey (vodka and soda water was $8, and we were served the higher end vodka after requesting the cheap stuff), but we should've expected it based on the food quality and the restaurants location I s'pose. The entire bill with tip was $57 for a drink, a beer, and 2 bowls. You could easily spend more than that per person though if you ordered steak and multiple drinks. Overall, i would highly recommend it. We aren't in the area often but we would definitely come back.

This is a restaurant for meaties or veggies, eaters that is. We visited for brunch and were not disappointed. It is popular and I would recommend a reservation if you have more than two. We were a party of 6 and had a 10 reservation. By the time we left there was a lunch line out the door. We had a variety of salads, breakfast tacos, and standard breakfast fare. All of the items were finished off and more than enough to eat. Prices were decent and the food was great. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. After informing her that it was my birthday she provided two wonderful desserts for all of us to share; on the house. This was too much for us to finish. I recommend this eatery 100%

Weekday lunch. Tried the turkey club sandwich with the kale side salad. Surprised it was served warm, but that was fine. The bread was super and grainy, the turkey tasted fresh-carved. The bacon very good too. Enjoyed the side of kale with the softly sweet dressing, but I would have enjoyed some tomato though. Service was very attentive. Also enjoyed the open air of the place. If I can find parking again, I'll definitely be back to try other menu items.

Visiting friends in Dallas and had dinner here. We started on the rooftop bar which was very fun; decent craft beers and specialty cocktails... good service and great views! Went downstairs for dinner and had a great meal! I had the Fried Rice bowl, with Sirloin... absolutely delicious. I also sample the other dinners which included tacos, chicken fried chicken and a different Bowl. All were very good! They also handed out a tequila cocktail to everyone in the restaurant for a toast ... just thanking everyone for coming... apparently it’s a nightly event. I recommend you try it! I’ll be back!

My wife and I are vegetarians and there is SOOOO much on the menu we can eat. The food is super fresh. I love that I can make my own bowl. There is plenty for a carnivore to eat too. Great bar and roof top terrace

did not eat, but the drink menu is very extensive. cool place and great patio. downstairs is for dining in a quick restaurant pace. cute addition to the lower Greenville area

Atmosphere here is fun, lots of people coming together to catch up and enjoy great food and drinks. The food is obviously very thoughtfully prepared and fresh.

If you go here make sure that you go to the rooftop bar to hang out for a little bit. The drinks are a little overpriced as they are in a lot of places, but the food is kinda meh. The view though, you get a great view of downtown, amazing at night with all the buildings lights.

Ate here on a Thursday night and it was very busy. I ordered the burger which was nice, although had a bit too much sauce on it. Was tasty though. It seems to be a very popular place to eat

We stopped here during my extended weekend to Dallas and I’m glad we did. All the food is farm to table type food which I loved. I had the stir fry bowl and it was delicious (although the portion size was a little on the small size for the price IMO). My friends got the steak and I had a piece and it was flavorful and large and she had nothing but great things to say about the mashed cauliflower either. The other person in our party had the ranch chicken sandwich and said it was amazing as well. I can’t finish this review without commenting on the amazing Mules. They were so good, if your looking for a drink while you wait (yes, there will likely be a wait) grab a Mule - you won’t be disappointed. They also have wine and draft beer and there is a rooftop bar as well. It was too cold the day we went to checkout the bar but I’m sure it’s pretty awesome!

A couple of weeks ago I reviewed Remedy. Later, I found out the owners of Remedy also owned HG SPLY Co. Well, if HG SPLY Co. was half as good as Remedy, I had to try it. It did not disappoint. A friend and I ventured out on a drizzly Halloween afternoon for lunch. We had a short 10-minute wait. When seated, the happy waitress informed us of the restaurant’s concept. It is simple: good, clean food and hospitality. After our experience, I can tell you, most assuredly, HG SPLY Co. takes both food and hospitality seriously. The interior was inviting. Warm industrial; similar but different from Remedy. They have design down. The music was loud and good. The raved-about upstairs patio was closed due to the weather. Darn! I guess I will have to plan another visit! To start, we ordered the Sweet & Spicy Berkshire Pork Short Ribs. They were good and tender, but we were hoping for a little more flavor infused through the meat. The side of marinated cucumber salad was the winner here. The fresh cucumbers were marinated in mint, cilantro and toasted cashews. Really clean and fresh. For an entree, I chose the Clubbed Turkey with the homemade french fries. I mean come on….look at that pic! It was amazing. The natural turkey piled high then topped with bacon, cheddar, avocado, garlic aioli, arugula and tomato. And the bread? Grainy, nutty goodness! The fries were fresh with the skins on. I was able to take half of the sandwich home and relive it in all its glory again for dinner. My friend ordered the Greens & Grains Salad with grilled beef. This salad was loaded with good stuff: greens, wild rice, quinoa, blueberries, cranberries, avocado, almonds, hemp seeds and dressed in a yummy, perfectly seasoned vinaigrette. She said it was the best salad she’d ever eaten. How could it not be with all that goodness in it? Yumminess spreading all over the taste buds. The gentleman who checked on us asked if we saved room for dessert. Of course we did! My friend jokingly said she’d have the Orange Lazarus Orgeat from next door at Remedy. In all seriousness, he said she should try the Orange Dreamsicle Pie AND that he would go get it for her. How could she resist that? It was a perfectly balanced, creamy pie. Not too sweet or tart. The graham cracker crust had a hint of cinnamon. The candied orange peel was sublime! I opted for the Banana Nut Bread Pudding. It was served warm with almond milk ice cream, candied walnuts, caramel and bruleed bananas. Honestly, I was a little bit worried about the almond milk ice cream. How good could that be?! It was! I would have never known it wasn’t made with cow’s milk had I not read the menu myself. The bananas were so good…crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The bread pudding was quite good as well. A little of each ingredient on the spoon and it was the perfect bite. I have to tell you HG SPLY Co. went out of their way to make our visit over the top. The staff is top-notch. The food is excellent and healthy…the way it should be. Well done HG SPLY Co. I can’t wait to visit again and try one of the signature bowls.

Great place, great vibe. Has a rustic feel, with open air eating roof top patio. The coffee rubbed steak with the Brussel sprouts is fantastic. Highly recommend this is you like s great atmosphere and great food.

Very unique. Great food. Good people watching. Fantastic atmosphere. Attentive service. Look forward to returning.

We've been to HG Supply before for Brunch and it was amazing. This trip was only for a cocktail or two to end the night. I had a couple HG Moscow Mules that were great! My pregnant wife had a couple non alcoholic cocktails, the Garden State I think. We got there around 11pm on a Saturday night and silly me thought it wouldn't be very busy as late as it was. But obviously at that time, I had no idea that Greenville Ave. is a jumping spot on the weekends. I'm not from the area and had no clue until we got there....and boy was it jumping!! We tried the room but it was so packed full of people we took about 10 steps out of the door, looked around, and headed back downstairs. At that time, we were the only ones sitting at the bar with people milling all around. The bartender was great at mixing the drinks and recommending something for my wife and chatting with us while mixing drinks. I was kind of bummed the restaurant we went to for dinner didn't serve cocktails but it would be hard to imagine they would have been as good as they were at HG Supply Co.

Came here during our trip to Dallas one night to watch Thursday night Football. The rooftop patio is very modern and provides an amazing view of the downtown Dallas skyline at night. They're are multiple TV's, fans, heaters, and fireplaces. I would definitely go back.

Came here for brunch, didn't live up to the hype. If you want a healthy brunch that experiments outside the status quo then this place is for you, otherwise don't waste your time. They said HG stands for Hunter-Gatherer... more like Ha! Gross. Knew it was a red flag when there weren't any salt and pepper shakers anywhere. We got The Stack and Huevos Rancheros. The Huevos Rancheros were decent, you'll definitely get your fiber fill for the day. The Stack sounded good on paper, and that's about as good as it got. The meal fits the mold the restaurant claims to have. Unfortunately it's not a very good mold. The biscuit was dry, sausage too lean, sweet potato hash didn't complement any part of the dish, the mushrooms are a sad attempt at a gravy alternate. I've had MRE meals better this meal (if you don't know what that is, Google it). Sadly, they charge $7 for 3.69 sips of cold-pressed juice.

Our waiter gave us the cashew queso on the house so we would try it. Asked us if we had any food allergies or dietary restrictions. The food is great and the service is great!! Fun atmosphere for a bar at night too!! Frose is really good. Rooftop bar is cool at night. Great place, definitely recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻

My wife and I have started a “Keto” diet, so being selective as to eating out is a little tricky. This place offers good selections and very tasty. I recommend the bowls offered. You select your protein. So far so good. I like!! Thanks HG SPLY Co.

My manager was in from out of town with his wife and invited my wife and I out for dinner with simple instructions .... "You pick the place and make it a "fun atmosphere". Yikes .... what pressure!!!! So I surveyed the team here in the office and decided to try HG Sply in Dallas, TX. It was terrific and met the requirements and quite a bit more. Walking in, the atmosphere was busy and upbeat and the vibe was inviting. As we looked at the menu .... also Fun .... and Healthy .... the owner/manager stood up on a stool, thanked the entire restaurant of patrons for choosing HG Sply for dinner and then provided everyone that wished to join in for a "Sunset Toast"! It was great. We all went with a different "House Bowl" - a combo of "Hunted" and "Gathered" and there was not one complaint among us. Topped a great meal off with a casual drink on the rooftop deck taking in an awesome view of the Dallas skyline. If you want a great meal and a FUN spot, try HG Sply!

Went here for brunch this past Saturday. Outstanding selection and food. Go for the bowls or the burger. Nice pulled pork tacos, too. Great service and a nice selection of drinks. And you can't beat their rooftop bar! We'll certainly go back soon!

Had the HG Old-fashioned drink for $5-it was good & strong (they had numerous drinks for $5). Recommend the short ribs appetizer (appetizers 1/2 off from 3-6pm M-F). I had the chicken sandwich w/ kale salad, the sandwich was delicious & the kale salad was ok. Also had the stir fry bowel w/duck confit it was also very good & many vegan options. The restaurant is a great place for date night or girls nightout, outside seating at street level & roof.

Mike S gave us exceptional service. He had excellent menu knowledge, and was extremely personable. He made us laugh and took care of us like he knew us. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I had a delicious gluten-free brunch here recently. The restaurant was really crowded and I was glad to have made reservations. The hostess was super friendly and had saved our table a few minutes when we got caught up in traffic due to a nearby marathon. That was much appreciated. Our server was just "ho hum" but the food more than made up for the service. We appreciated having so many gluten-free options. The housemade, warm cranberry pecan muffins with strawberry jam were standouts. We will definitely be back!

This rooftop in Greenville Ave is amazing. Great place to have some drinks and have a fun with friends. If you don't get there early on weekends, the rooftop will be packed. It also has a nice restaurant on the first floor if you prefer to have dinner.

The service was amazing but honestly the food was lacking. We intended to just stop by for drinks but the atmosphere was amazing and they had a great selection of music on their rooftop patio. Loved it so much that we decided to eat but ultimately regretted, we were not a fan. Although the guacamole wasn't half bad.

Stopped in on a whim to cool off and grab a cold one. 4 hours later we left. Downstairs is a restaurant (apparently decent food but we didn't eat there), walk straight back and up the stairs. Wow, an upstairs bar, lounge seating, picnic tables you name it. There is misting fans to keep you cool and the staff are super friendly. Will be back next time in Dallas.

We ate upstairs so I am not sure they have a full menu up there, but its one of the best places to go for drinks with friends. Great atmosphere, good drinks, and exceptional view. The menu upstairs was not impressive, but the food was good. We will go back!!!

This is my favorite restaurant in Dallas. It isn't stuffy and it isn't so trendy to make anyone uncomfortable. The best part is that everything can be altered to be paleo, vegan, veggie, and gluten free. It's all healthy, but so very delicious. The bowls are all fantastic, as is the vegan queso. Brunch is great and includes dairy free yoghurt!!! Service is always great and prices are reasonable. I will always love my HG!

I was disappointed with the food. A Buffett was prepared and very difficult to get to due to table arrangements. Parking was awful. Had to walk 1/2 mile to get to restaurant.

HG Supply Co. may just be the best restaurant on earth. Really---it is that good. Absolutely everything here exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional. The food was simply so good that it was unbelievable. If I had only one day left to live, I would have my last meal here. It is that good. The hummas was simply to die for. Our hotel recommended HG Supply Co. when we asked about vegan options. There were lots of great meat options, but the number of options and the quality of those options, for vegans was great. Thank you HG Supply Co. The next time we come back to Dallas, you will be our first stop.

We stopped in for lunch. I had a plain (non-alcoholic) kombucha. We started off with the hummus and veggies. The uncured bacon chips in the hummus are delicious! Each of us had a bowl, I built my own using th brussel sprouts as a base. They were so good. In fact, I liked them so much that next time I might even double up on those and skip the sweet potato hash. Don't get me wrong, the hash is good, but I really loved the brussel sprouts. And the beef was so good, that I didn't even need the guacamole that I ordered as a sauce. I used it to finish off the veggies that we had leftover from the hummus appetizer. Wish we did, but we just didn't have room to try dessert. We will be back!

This was our first visit to HG Supply to dine. We found the ambiance simple but cool - a great vibe which set the mood. Our server was cool and a little edgy but very attentive - she also knew the ins & outs of the menu and was able to guide us perfectly! While the entire meal was spectacular... the highlight was the Avacado Street Corn toast ... OMG! It was simply 'game changing' and made the entire dining experience terrific. We bought gift cards for our nephews and will definitely be back!

We have family members who are all about eating healthy at all times. Because of that, they took seven of us to this restaurant that they had enjoyed a week before our visit. The food was delicious but when I pay $15.00 for a meal, I don't expect to feel hungry afterward. I had their stir fry with chicken. Not enough food. Another member of the group agreed with me. We later went up to experience their roof top bar. To me that was a big part of this restaurant. My husband and I fight our own little battle against servers who hover around and remove plates of those finishing their meals while others are still eating. We were subjected to that here big time.

I have visited HG Supply a few times, and it is consistent place for a innovative meal. If your tired of the same kit of parts, I must say they offer new options and renditions. I chose their housemaid Quinoa Burger, composed of smoky carrot hummus, smashed avocados, Kalamata tapenade, baby spinach and tomato, on a toasted Empire bakery bun, with an accompanying macerated kale salad. Meal was tasty, and the burger was quite flavorful. One downside, the restaurant has acoustical issues, as noted by others as well. But it is definitely a fun place to hang with friends, or escape solo. Rooftop patio is a big draw, along with the cocktail program. Glenn Almack

Bloody perfect Bloody Mary to kick of Sunday and a strong but not bitter coffee. The cranberry (wish they'd been fresh, not dried) muffins were flavorful and filling. Curried squash soup for round two was silky smooth with curry which didn't overpower the butternut topped by a delectable embellishment of persimmon, pepita and caramelized onion. Main and final (lamentably no room for dessert) fling was the Breakfast Stack with a perfectly cooked egg atop fresh sausage patty and heart biscuit blanketed with savory mushroom gravy and soft sweet potato cubes to add balance to the savory layers. Fresh and scrumptious. Bears repeating.

Three of us went on a Sunday night for dinner and while I was tempted by their signature dinner options, I went with a turkey sandwich, not expecting much. To my surprise, it was one of the best restaurant-made turkey sandwiches I've had - the meat was delicious, but the bread was the kicker, somehow soft and grainy at the same time. The Old Fashioned here was also smooth and delicious. (On a previous visit we had the nachos on the rooftop and I ordered a Bitter Blonde - the nachos were okay, the Bitter Blonde was pretty flavorless - definitely go with the Old Fashioned.)

I really enjoy the food, cocktails, and service but this place is noisy. It was so loud that we couldn't hear the waitress and barely could hear each other from across a small table. You have to yell to have a conversation and I am not exaggerating. I had to listen to a very ignorant conversation from the table next to me because yes, you have to yell to talk to anyone at your table. Next time I will sit outside or get it to go.

I love HG Supply! They have a very cool outdoor/rooftop bar that overlooks the Dallas Skyline. Its a very cool place! Their food and appetizers are also GREAT! I highly recommend Hg Supply to anyone who is in the Greenville area, or visiting Dallas and looking for a cool bar to visit.

This place is wayyyy crowded so get a reservation. They have a ton of veggie options which is the biggest draw for me. The food was good and portion sizes were fine. The drinks we expensive. I paid the same amount for dinner as I did one drink. It's nice to have so many veggie options though. That feels rare for Dallas.

If you like a good Moscow Mule look no further! Our table shared the Cochinita Nachos - some of the very best nachos I have ever had. Burger was perfectly cooked and had amazing taste. Fries were disappointing - greasy & soggy. We were there with kids late afternoon and the place was slammed but the hostess did a nice job of finding us a table asap.

Drinks were expensive, but the environment was fun with both older and younger patrons. Fun place for drinks and a more quiet place for dinner downstairs.

Nice concept on a meal! Either build your own or order as is! Very interesting decor. Service was great. The menu was short, but interesting! Since it listed main ingredients and you match them up for endless possibilities ! Lots of good choices. Wish we had one in Fort Lauderdale. This would be a go back to all the time restaurant?

I did not eat here, instead we just came to enjoy the patio bar upstairs. They had a great drink menu and the atmosphere was great too. There was lounge seating, bar seating and even picnic tables to hang out on for a more casual feel. It was really cold out, but they had a lot of heaters and fireplaces to sit by so it was comfortable. There are also plenty of TVs to watch. Would come back again for drinks or even to try the food!

Spent an afternoon on the rooftop for a graduation lunch. I really enjoyed the ambiance and decor of the rooftop. The staff was engaging and helpful, the food and drinks tasty. I would like to come back another time to try out some other options from the menu as we had a buffet with food chosen by the hosts.

We had excellent service, great food, in a cool environment. The view from the rooftop was fabulous. We definitely would eat there again when we're back in town.

The atmosphere/ambiance is comfortable, but can also be a setting for a romantic dinner, friends outing, etc. The rooftop is one of the reasons I'll drive from anywhere to come here. I also come here because meat-eaters and vegans alike can find tasty food here. They have vegan queso that is really good, and a lot of other options. I would like to see more things on the menu in the future that are vegan-friendly because these guys do it right.

We only got drinks but we went two nights in a row while visiting Dallas because we loved the rooftop. There were tons of people but it's a big place so it didn't feel packed. Jess at the bar made us some great Aperol spritzes. The service at the sit-down tables upstairs was as slow as molasses, but the bar service was fast. Good music and a great space up on a rooftop bar, with a nice view of Dallas.

Slowest service at a table. Sit at the bar. 10 times quicker. Table server replies “your drinks aren’t ready yet they will be ready when they are ready”. Thanks Lauren. Poor attitude. Bartenders were awesome. Hostess was awesome. View is great. Two stars for Lauren.

The food is pretty awesome. We were a group of seven and everyone tried something different, and everybody was completely satisfied. I had the duck fried rice, fantastic. The cocktails were also delicious, actually some of the best we've ever had. No complaints when it comes to the menu. The staff was very good too. The restaurant is wide open and it gets too loud at times for dinner conversation, which is probably my only minor complaint.

I've been here a handful of times to both the lower area and upstairs for their incredible rooftop bar. The cocktails are super inventive and delicious and the food is always fresh, flavorful and you don't leave feeling like you've undone any working out or dieting. My favorite item is the caesar salad, the chickpea croutons are on point, as is the dressing and entire salad. I've also tried their duck-based bowl, which was OK, but I really enjoyed the sweet potato chilaquiles and my friend did as well. I have also sampled the cauliflower steak which was huge and tasty too! Great ambiance for a date or cocktails with the girls.

Visited on a Thursday at lunch for the first time with family and friends. Great atmosphere and fabulous staff. Everything on the menu can be made gluten free and dairy free, which was huge for us. My daughter has several serious food allergies and intolerances, so eating out is often like playing Russian Roulette. This place is so aware of their food and where it comes from, and it is not overly processed, she had nothing to worry about at all! My meal was one of their bowls: steak, hash, guacamole, tomatoes, and a fried egg. Everything was as fresh as I've ever tasted! We will definitely be back!

I was visiting Dallas for the first time to meet with friends and the one who lives in Dallas - and had never been to this restaurant - heard that it had some good food. Well, she heard right! I ordered the Kobe burger and it was, hands down, the best burger I've ever eaten. The bun was very slightly sweet and the sweet potato fries were fantastic. I ordered this item medium rare and it was perfectly done! Paired well with my Strongbow apple cider, too. Highly recommended!!! And after, we each ordered a different dessert, which we all swapped bites. Mine was the bread pudding. Each dessert was decadent and wonderful! While they might not be large enough to share evenly with three people, you could definitely split one of the desserts between two people, so even if you're full from dinner, don't skip the dessert here!

This is a second trip to HG. They specialize is "food bowls". The combos are interesting and they also have the usual stand bys if the bowl option doesn't appeal to you. My choice, a meat selection, ground beef pattie, with toppings, was good. This is a very busy establishment. The street level, where I ate, is nice and loud. Prior to dinner I had a drink at the bar and the bar tender was very attentive and friendly. Keep in mind, there will be wait if you there on the weekend. And once you're seat the service is very quick! Actually, quicker than I prefer.

Tuesday lunch. With the place open to the street, there's a slight breeze on a not too hot day. Having tried the sandwiches, I opted for the paleo bowls. Here, you choose from several options and then add your protein--meat or quinoa. I chose the Asian bowl. It's good and plentiful, but not that different from what I can get for a lower price at an actual Asian restaurant. My $15 bowl + tea + tax was $18, and average tip took it over $20. Who can afford to spend $20 for lunch? I haven't been here since February, and twice a year is probably enough. Points for very attentive service.

We stopped in here with some friends on a Friday night on our way home from dinner. It has a fabulous rooftop bar upstairs from the restaurant, which is huge! Amazing views of the Dallas skyline and a fun place to hangout and drink with friends! We loved it!

Brunched with the gals here before heading back home to Detroit. Great selection of brunch items, salads and sandwiches and craft cocktails! The beet poke was the best thing I tried on the menu and it was both beautiful and delicious! Also had some of the kale Caesar ... which left a bit to be desired. I did not know what to think of the chickpea croutons.... they aren’t really croutons ... and no anchovies so I found that item bland. Curried sweet potato soup was outstanding!

Really, really enjoy this restaurant in Lower Greenville. I've eaten inside once and had drinks and appetizers on the rooftop several times. Both have a very upbeat and positive vibe. I've eaten the hummus, nachos, and The Stack with kobe beef. All were fresh and delicious. Their Moscow Mule is also very good. Fun place to hang out and watch the sun set in Dallas!

Visited the rooftop last Friday night. Great rooftop bar, Pretty people and great view of downtown. Plenty of room and not too crowded. We ordered queso and nachos as we had missed dinner beforehand. The queso that came out was some kind of vegetarian mixture that was awful. Nachos were not any better. I hate that because the bar is so great and the scene is really cool. Don't over-complicate the simple things in life like queso.

My husband and I have HG Supply Co reserved as our most special date night spot. This month the weather was so accommodating that we ate on the patio and truly enjoyed our entire experience. They offer a great selection of unique cocktails and paleo/Keto friendly dishes that we never have trouble trying something new. A great date night spot in a cool area. Free Parking lots are located behind the buildings on Greenville, so you have to walk, but that’s part of the experience. Feels safe, even during twilight.

Organic, local food and big variety! Something for every one! Friendly service! Great selection of local draft beer! Located in lower Greenville area of Dallas.

Hip spot with great food! We went her after touring SMU with my daughter. Great dog friendly patio.

Friday night dinner and beers. I had one of the veggie bowls with salmon. The food was great and so was the beer. But the place has hard walls with no sound dampening. Patrons have to shout to hear each other and it creates a deafening spiral. Forget talking to the waitstaff once they make it to your table. I recommend a less busy time.

Outstanding Service! Attended a private birthday party in their upstairs area. Great views. Excellent and efficient bar service. Good buffet. And they controlled the private area to avoid any overlaps. They could not have been more accommodating.

The decor is typical industrial. Open air and inside seating. It has a patio bar but it was not for lunch when went weekday. There is a good selection of somewhat healthy food. Plus it has hamburgers. Variety of drinks, beers, wines, etc. We both had bowls with our choice of protein. These were very good. The portions are medium - not too much nor too little. Prices are moderate. My guess is this place would be a pretty good night scene.

We found our way in and to lovely seating on roof top. Nice sunset view. Ordered healthy drinks and got plastic cup full of ice and splash of juice. Asked about it and told it was 5ounces with attitude even. Neither cup had 5 Oz drink in it. For $7 each. Food was okay; disappointing after the promises they make in quality and quantity. Service is okay. We’re not going back or recommending.

Did I give it away? Oh well! We stopped by here to enjoy the early afternoon sun and get a drink and a bight to eat. The beers were (of course) great but the avocado toast and pulled pork nachos were the inspiration of this review and so many conversations since! Greenville ave offers a lot, and none that we tried disappointed, but this place had a fun, funky vibe on the inside, good sunshine seating outside, friendly staff and the best avocado toast and nachos around! Go here! Go other places too, you'll still be glad you went here first!

Party work booking for about 20 people with a buffet laid on. Food was nice, service was quick. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Our group of 4 managed to be seated in time for Happy Hour, and benefited from super well priced appetizers and a decent wine ($8). Even the house vodka is decently priced at $8 per glass. We thoroughly enjoyed a really good sized serving of smoky carrot hummus with lots of veggies to dip with. Also, the deviled avocados are to die for - oh so tasty. We also split the "Fried Rice" Entree with grilled chicken, beautifully presented and sufficient to feed us those last tasty bites. All told, our final bill with tax/tip was only $61. That's a bargain. And we loved being outside taking in all the walk by action of Lowest Greenville neighborhood. Finally, our server Alec was superb.

I’ve been living in Dallas for less than two years and was really excited to find a place with such a nice rooftop. I really enjoy the atmosphere, their happy hour is awesome, the food is great, and the drinks are delicious.

I am giving this place 4 stars on the strength of the ambience and the fact that it offers organic alternatives to regular restaurants. The actual food quality was a bit inconsistent. We started with the pork tacos as an app and they were excellent (two to an order for $8). Well worth the price. The flavors came together perfectly the pork was tender and juicy. For entrees, I got the 80/20 burger and it was really good. The actual patty was rather small but that did not bother me at all. The burger was very flavorful and I enjoyed it a lot. I would get again, although at $12 it's a bit pricey. The fries, however, were nothing short of disgusting. They came super greasy and limp. I could not eat even one. I did not eat even one. The greasiness was so obvious that in all honesty I do not know why they even came out of the kitchen. Our server, who otherwise was pretty good, did not check in to see if everything was ok. Only when they started clearing plates did I mention that the fries were inedible. He offered to replace them or substitute for any other side. I asked if the fries always came so greasy and he said no, there obviously was a problem. He agreed they should be non-greasy and crispy. So I got an order of fries to go. When we got home and opened the package, they were exactly the same! In fact, I would not be surprised if they were the same fries. Into the garbage they went immediately, without passing go. My tip for this restaurant: DO NOT order fries. The wife got a build your own bowl with quinoa, potato hash, and akaushi beef. The quinoa and potato hash were really good, but the beef was chewy and not very soft. I like very much the idea of a natural food restaurant, but for me the food quality was a 3.

Consistently quality healthy dishes Good service. Nice ambience. My favorite this trip was the shaved Brussels with cranberries. In and out for lunch.

I went with my Grandson, who had heard about this place and wanted to try it. There is nowhere to park so you must use the Valet service which was very capable, considering the madhouse of people. When we arrived there was a 45 minute wait for a table but we were directed to the roof patio which was very nice and although the "rap" was loud, it wasn't quite at the extreme noise level of the restaurant! The drinks and appetizers were adequate, and generous, if overpriced. When we were told our table was read,y we had Victoria, our waitress, who explained the complicated menu and was very helpful. Of course, half of what she said was obscured by the din. The meal was okay and my grandson enjoyed it even though I couldn't wait to leave.

Although disappointed the roof top patio was closed we were thoroughly pleased with lunch. In our party of three, two had a Hunter-Gatherer Bowl -- one lamb, one salmon, both delicious; the third had a chili appetizer (!) and a quinoa burger. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous; food was different and very tasty. The atmosphere was delightfully funky -- exposed brick. We dined inside but could have sat on the patio even in August I look forward to returning on my visit to Dallas.

A great rooftop bar, super friendly and competent service....and a sexy vibe. But the food is mediocre and overpriced, welcome to Dallas. I really want to like this place but after eating here 4 times, it is just so so.

I love HG Sply. They are located in the busy area of Lower Greenville. The area is filled with people walking around visiting the shops and restaurants. HG has a rustic wood exterior with a few patio seats and a garage door window that you see through as you walk by. The interior is a rectangle layout with rough cement floors. The right wall is constructed out of old terra cotta hollow bricks. Many of them are broken and rough cut. The left wall is constructed with acme bricks and rough mortar. Edison lights are used as accents. The TV screen is projected on to the rough wall. It's a great hipster look. Seating is a combination of tables, booths and bar. The kitchen is visible from the dining room. A series of whiskey, rum, vodka and other alcohol jars sit on a board while they infuse flavors like cinnamon, vanilla, cucumber, and strawberry. A second seating area is way in the back. It's an outdoor patio. Also at the back are the stairs that take you up to the incredible rooftop. They have plants, trellises, lights, picnic tables, booths and a great view. Service is always top notch. I have been here a half dozen times, and I find that every server knows the menu very well. They are pleasant, attentive, and helpful. Food is just okay. Honestly, I would not rank this place so high if it was just about the food. It's about the atmosphere, location, view and service. Having been here multiple times, I have tried many of their menu items. The hummus is decent, but I would prefer bread instead of fresh veggies. The Cochinita Nachos are good. The Clubbed Turkey was not good. I did not like the taste of the turkey and the toasted multi-grain bread was tough. The stir fry bowl was not good either. The HG Kale Caesar was okay. The Duck Fried Rice was not as succulent and rich as duck can be. The stir fried cauliflower was great. Their best dish is the side recommended by our server. She said to get the honey-garlic Brussels sprouts and add pork bellies. Wow, that was a great recommendation. The sweet honey, bitter Brussels sprouts and smokey caramelization blended really well. I will definitely be back. This is a destination place that brings us to Lower Greenville. I highly recommend reservations. The place is always packed with long waits. Expect to spend a bit of money too. It's not cheap.

I was super pumped to eat here because my friend said it was really great. I ordered a burger well done and it came out to me super pink and bloody. The part on the outside was burnt I guess in an attempt to do "well done" quickly. Then my friend's food had a long hair in it when it was served to her! Won't be returning.

My husband, son and I went to HG SPLY Co on a Tuesday night in January. The place was packed. It was too cold to visit the roof top bar, we have promised we will go back another time. I was on a strict diet at the time, so a paleo themed restaurant was perfect for me. I especially enjoyed the garlic ginger hummus and the greens and grain. My husband and son said the cocktails were very good. They really liked their entrees of pulled pork tacos and a Kobe beef burger bowl. Of course, parking is a big issue in this area, even on a week night. Be prepared to hunt for a parking place before dining.

I am from out of town and ended up at HG SPLY Co. with a coworker per their suggestion. It was SO GOOD. I only wish I could easily come back for a visit to try more items on the menu (especially the cocktails). We ordered the avocado toast to share. It was delicious - every ingredient was intentional. I had a build your own bowl for my main (I could smell brussels sprouts when I walked in - and needed them). I ordered salmon, brussels sprouts, sweet potato hash, garlic aioli. It was the perfect most flavorful lunch. I will be back next time I'm in the DFW area. The only thing I would say for improvement is that service could have been a little faster on the server's part to get orders as it was lunchtime. Luckily we weren't in a hurry. Go here.

Ate a late lunch yesterday with a friend. The food was very good but the service was terrible. First, it took forever for our server, Mario, to take our order even though the restaurant was only a third full. Although the ticket time on our food was reasonable, only 1 of our 2 orders came out correctly. Unfortunately for me, my $14.50 Bacon Cheddar Burger did not have any bacon on it. I didn't notice until I had eaten a third of my burger, but our server didn't come by once to check on us until after we had finished our meal. He didn't even bus our table, so the only time we saw him after we ordered was when he brought our check. I informed him that my burger didn't have any bacon on it, and he said he would inform the kitchen. Apparently the thought of adjusting my check $14.50 didn't cross his mind. In fact, it didn't seem like he was very concerned at all about the fact that I didn't get something I paid for. I didn't want, nor did I ask, to have my meal comped. At the very least they could have comped my iced tea to make up for the missing bacon. As the owner of a highly rated burger joint in another city (we do not compete with HG Sply Co), I figure that for a $14.50 for a "bacon cheddar burger", the bacon accounts for $2-3 of the menu price. Discounting the price of my burger or comping my $3 iced tea would have been more than acceptable. But under no circumstances is it excusable to charge a customer full price for an incomplete order. Restaurants and kitchen staff aren't perfect and mistakes happen. But what separates great restaurants from those like HG Sply Co is how they address the mistakes. After barely attending to our table, our server showed little desire to correct or address the situation. Because of the poor service and even worse customer service, I likely won't return to this restaurant and would not recommend this establishment to others.

My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch here. The food was fresh and delicious, and the rooftop bar and frozen Moscow mule on a hot day was amazing!

I found this absolute gem on my Zagat app and wow! We were looking for a reasonably priced steak and found HGS in lower Greenville. This local favorite is a place I will Definately revisit. Best service ever, fantastic food, great craft beer and if you are light eaters, split the 14 oz steak. You may still have leftovers!

Really good taste and people. The restaurant use organic supply and Texas taste. The HG Sply is in Lower Greenville, the most cool are of the city. If you are in Dallas you must visit.

Excellent quality, taste and phenomenal presentation. No send backs here. Food perfectly prepared first time around for a table of 5. No hormones in the meats. Best gluten free carrot cake and chocolate cake you can find. Guarantee even if you are not a foody you won't be disappointed.

My son took me here for my birthday during a recent visit, and we were not disappointed. The food is Paleo-based with multiple vegetarian options. We shared the ginger garlic hummus and each had one of their popular bowls with quinoa. The service was excellent. Will definitely be having dinner here again when I go back to Dallas in the next few weeks.
Top Healthy Pick
My husband and I eat paleo and we probably go here at least once a week. Very healthy. They cook with animal fats vs. butter, so everything from veggies to meats and delicious! We love the "build your own bowl" options. Very lively and loud. Always full of people. Good for lunch or dinner!
