HK Dim Sum seems to have a perpetual grand opening sign at its entrance nearby the anchoring Asian Food Center grocery store. I stopped by to pick up some cooked duck, which they offer as a whole or half sized portion. They also have the traditional chicken and BBQ pork selections as well as traditional dim sum pastries like the sesame red-bean balls.

Great Dim Sum Restaurant. Restaurant has wide variety of Dim Sum and Menu items. Everything we tried was very good. Service is Excellent and Restaurant is very clean.

I used to eat Dim Sum in the international district until I found this. It's by far better than anything there. Super tasty. I can't get enough of the BBQ pork and their Duck. Sooo good.

Overall we had a good experience. The food came out quickly and I enjoyed most of the items. I was really excited about the clams, but they ended up being cold. All of the dumpling dishes were fantastic. I wouldn’t have thought that it would travel well - but we packed up our leftovers and they were just as good as they were in the restaurant. The wait staff were great - they give you free tea and the carts of food come around very frequently. My main complaint in the restaurant was that it was too loud.

We looked at the yummy baked pork buns and crab Rangoon in the display case, went in, sat down, ordered off the menu. We ordered shrimp dumpling, sticky rice egg custards and the crab Rangoon - not the same full lovely items in the display case, tiny bits of fried dough with a couple of grams of crab cheese mixture. Bummer! Their little menu card does note the difference and my bad for that but that sucked.

While visiting Seattle this last time I went twice and was not disappointed either time. The dining room is large, with an ample number of tables not too closely packed. There is a hot counter just inside the door for quick take out orders with a very nice selection of dumplings, buns, and main dishes. My first visit was for lunch. We had various dim sum from the cart (leak dumplings, shumai, shrimp dumplings, broccoli, sticky rice) and one made to order item. The made to order took a little long to arrive, but was so hot we had to wait even longer to eat it. The cart offering were also surprisingly hot, but oh-so delicious. The servers were relatively polite and attentive, so a good semi-quick meal was doable. My second visit was for dinner with a larger group. Our hosts ordered a set meal which included a soup opener, several main dishes, and a couple of deserts. The main dishes included a pleasant variety with a couple of surprise gems (for me). My favorite dish was a fish cooked with a creamy egg sauce that included corn and while it didn't look appetizing on first view turned out to be my hands-down favorite. There were also 2 clay pot stews - chicken and mushrooms in a soy "gravy", and tofu and shrimp with vegetables in a sweet-ish brown sauce. All the offerings were awesome! Dessert included individual red bean buns and custard tarts which arrived warm and meltingly delicious. If I could have gotten away with it, I would have eaten there every day!

Good food! It is close to home for me, at the end of the day it is quick. I have run into friendly staff.

Quality of dimsim here did not impressed. 1. The texture of siao mai (pork-prawn dumpling) is far too hard and had less few prawny taste than pork. 2. Stirred fried ho fun(rice noodles) was too bland 3. Har gaw (prawn) with skin too hard. 4. Eggplant dumpling was passable 5. Walnut honey prawn is not never heard of in Asia! The dimsim I had so far in Seattle is below par of those in other US chinatowns namely San Francisco, New York and far below the stuff they have in HK, Singapore or KL (malaysia) , Sydney or Melbourne. I should not perhaps not complain/benchmark against good dimsim elsewhere in other major US chinatowns that has international standard. Perhaps the few reviews here in total is a telling sign. You are automatically charged 18% service tax which is barely deserved as there is hardly any service like servers pouring tea into your cup or changing plates when needed. Servicing definitely needs improvement and not deserve 18%

We've stopped over for a quick late lunch and were very pleased with experience. Great selection of dim sum, will definitely come there again,

Went to HK Dim Sum in North Seattle late in the afternoon which I don't recommend, they're already prepping for dinner and no longer pushing around carts of dim sum. They do have an extensive menu with pictures which is really helpful if you are a newbie. We have been going to this place since they opened a couple years ago for its convenience and parking lot. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes it's a bit bland. The service is always very polite. Like most Dim Sum restaurants you can't be in a hurry,it generally takes at least 20 minutes for the food to be prepared, especially if you're ordering steamed items. No microwaves here! The food seemed a little bland today and the service slow, but once again it was mid-afternoon on a weekday, and we were their only customers. When I pointed out a mistake on the bill they corrected it, Our late lunch cost about $40 for 2 adults. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the take out. That's probably best if you're not going during prime time.

The dimsum we picked were great, better than some of the restaurants in Seattle, the congee is amazing! Recommend it too! Would definitely come back again! Great price too.

HK Dim Sum sits in a strip mall area with other stores and eateries right off the HWy. I arrived before 11:00 am and was the third person to be seated. By the time I left the place was packed. When you walk into the restaurant you will notice to your left is a place to order takeout and a display of food items. They are quick to serve with tons of choices from meat to veggies to dessert. I had four items all by myself for only 25 bucks and couldn’t finish all of it. As you know dim sum is served in small plates with 3 to 4 pieces. However HK has the biggest pieces I have ever had. There was only one table that sat just 2 people and some tables are community seating.

I was walking by and the smell wafted out, that distinct Chinese 5 spice and fresh roasted duck mouth watering smell. Upon entering, in their take out bain was delicious looking duck, pork, green beans, chinese cabbage and dim sum. We choose to eat in and had a great meal for only $59 and still had plenty to take home. The only reason this was not a 5 star, was the service. Waitress barely spoke English and kept barking answers to our questions.

From the outside it does not look very big or like much but it opens up too many tables of all sizes for groups large or small. They have a small case when you walk in that has some quick to go items, bao and other pastries. I came in on Sunday and they had several TVs with the Seahawks game on and all the servers were wearing jerseys I thought that was pretty cool. I really enjoyed all the food it was a great value for the price with a tip and pot of tea it was $24. I dined on seafood congee barbecue pork buns and shrimp and chive dumplings my belly is very happy can’t wait to come back!

Very Crowded over the weekend, I started order dim sum to go, Now I order full menu items (Mostly take out), coming from Chinese parents help. Also their Chinese BBQ deli is great too. Open 10am every day.

We are visiting Seattle from Connecticut to see family and love to get Dim Sum. I found HK Dim Sum on TripAdvisor. It was rated pretty well and was not too far from where we were staying. Our only concern was the most recent reviews were from 2022. We took a chance and it paid off. The meal was delicious. We were seated at a big round table with a glass lazy susan. The decor was simple with some theming. The tea was wonderful, as were the sesame balls with red bean paste. Then we got our other items, rice in lotus leaves, radish cake, shrimp dumplings, steamed pork bun, taro cake - all delicious as we had hoped. Fried tofu was really good with a crunchy outside and a silky texture inside. I highly recommend this restaurant as you will not be disappointed.

You do not need to travel to the International district to enjoy some great, authentic Chinese food as here is one place on North Aurora that will satisfy your appetite. Extensive Dim Sum menu containing many reasonably priced options to choose from. Additionally, an extensive menu of various dishes exists too. I now know where this place is so I will be returning here the next time I visit Seattle in September!

I’ve never had dim sum so I didn’t know what to expect. The place was clean and quiet. We sat down and were immediately served tea, and within a few minutes a lady came by with a cart of food. We chose several dishes: shrimp and spinach dumpling, special pork, another shrimp dumpling, and bok choy. I thought everything was fantastic, especially the special pork dumpling and the bok choy. Each dish was between $3-$5. Those four dishes were plenty of food for two people. I’m going back for sure - the food is hot and fresh and quick! And it was freaking delicious.

My wife and I just love the Curry they make and we put it over the Chef's Special Fried Rice.. Just writing this makes me want to call and place an order right now. After the first visit and loving the food we have been doing take out since it is very close to home, and now I found out that there is free delivery if you are an Amazon Prime Member, so that will happen next order.
Come and enjoy the delicious dim sum!
Arguably my favorite dim sum place in Seattle. I highly recommend their "Special Rice Rolls" - a chef's special rice roll with crunchy shrimp and corns. If you are not sure about what to order, ask for recommendations! The staff are very nice, and they give great suggestions. The best thing about this restaurant is their seasoning. Most of the dim sum places are saltier than it should be, but not this one. All of their dishes are perfectly seasoned, so you can actually taste the flavor of the ingredients itself instead a bunch of artificial additives. Also, don't forget to check out the bakery next door!
