Great food, great service, very popular, must have reservations - brand new - been open two months when we had dinner there. Four of us shared plates from braised carrots to grilled octopus to two kinds of pasta to lamb chops and ossobuco - a truly wonderful and fun dinner. Grab some friends - go - share some plates - even the staff is fantastico.

A newer, trendy Italian specialty restaurant on Ventura Blvd, near the Wells Fargo office. There’s ample space to eat either inside or outside in the front. HOM boasts a full service bar, and the food’s cooked to order. Although the accommodations are sparse, the noise level is very high. Hardwood floors, lots of stone works walls, and absence of any appreciable sound absorbing materials makes for a loud and uncomfortable experience. Pricing is what you’d expect at a trendy, specialty house: high. The portions are adequate. The service is quick and responsive, and not overbearing. Pasta tends to be undercooked. The pappardelle was tasty. Parking is either street, or in a small lot in back, reachable through an alley.

Great food, ambiance and service. We loved the Pizza Diabolo which comes with delicious crust, sausage and buratta. The salads are generous size and we shared the cobb. The homemade pastas are out of this world! We loved the bolonaise and short rib ragu papardelle pastas and the FUSILLI NORCINA was out of this world. The wine list has nice offerings from Italy and California. No need to drive to the Westside with a nice addition to the Valley dining scene.

Had a nice dinner here. The ribeye was expensive, but tender and tasty. The rest of the food was also excellent. Nice tent.

Had dinner on Fathers Day with my son and his girlfriend at H.O.M. Itary located in Woodland Hills. We had reservations and were seated right on time. The owner, Claudio, came over and welcomed us. The place is bright, modern and a bit noisy. There are plenty of table inside as well as outside. You can park out front or in the back of the restaurant. The service was right away. We started with an order of meat balls in a marinara sauce.($13.50) They were a bit small but tasty. Next was a very nice Caesar salad of good size that was large enough that I shared with my Son.($13.00) Our main plates were a very large Margherita pizza that was terrific,($15.00). I ordered the Squid ink Tagliolini that came with large shrimp, clams, mussels and pomodoro. It was a nice serving but needed for my taste more garlic.($23.50). The menu has a large assortment to choose from including Lamb chops that you don't often see in Italian cafe's. There are 4 desserts to choose from plus assorted coffee's. They do also have a bar you can sit at with a choice of wine's. I will recommend trying this place. You will enjoy it!

We tried out this restaurant as we heard good things about it but found the food average and the prices very expensive for what we received. Service was very good but it offset the ok tasting food at very expensive prices.

We took out one Friday night and were really impressed with the quality. We loved the meatballs and also the egg plant was delicious. We shared a anti pasta salad and loved the fresh bread. The portions are huge and a great value. Will eat in next time for sure.

Possibly the best Italian restaurant I've been outside Italy. Service was friendly, advice was sound and fussili truffles with riesling wine was a good complement. My friend had lamb chop which was coojed to perfection. I'm going back at least once more before returning to UK.

Really enjoy this restaurant & keep bringing people to it...Gio behind the bar (and one of the owners) is great for detailing the menu or discussing the particulars of the wine list. The staff is friendly & generally accommodating. Make a reservation as it fills up most nights but we also sit at the bar to eat when we drop in...wonderful neighborhood place.

Aside from an issue with being seated with an empty place. The hostess is clueless. We loved the food and service. Aso Buko was perfectly seasoned. Nice menu for a varied group. From pizza to several dinners selections. I would go back.

We really like this place. Great food and service, nice atmosphere and "scene". Although somewhat pricey, the food is excellent, so it's hard to complain about that too much.

First time going to H.O.M. and we had a wonderful dinner! Service 10+ Food 10+ Ambiance 10+ My wife and I ordered and split everything: Appetizer - Gnoccho Frito - absolutely delicious! The dough was slightly deep fried and with the Burrata and Prosciutto with a Pesto dribble and balsamic glaze on the plate made it delicious. Pasta - Fettuccine w a crème sauce with Sausage and Mushrooms all stirred in a Parmesan wheel was amazing! The pasta was perfectly cooked, dish was full of flavor. Main - we ordered the Rib Eye and not only was the presentation beautiful the meat just melted in our mouth and full of flavor! What a terrific meal and to see it so full (not an empty table available) tells us that everyone loves this place. Grazie
Italian comes H.O.M
This is the local Italian spot the west Valley has been waiting for. I never could explain the lack of good Italian fare in the Valley, but case closed. Room can be quite noisy and right now a res in not easy on the weekends but worth the effort.
