A Cuban Gem in Calle Ocho

By 256lorrainev |

This charming gem of a place showcases the essence of Havana. We stumbled upon it by accident and were most impressed by everything! The owner, Laurent, was warm and welcoming. The decor was a mixture of eclectic, antique tables and chairs, cuban artwork, pictures on the wall and including a small pictoral mural of the Havana malecon. Several tiny teapots & teacup sets were nestled inside a wooden cabinet which made up part of the restaurant decor. These tea sets are taken out when a variety of coffees are served to customers. The food was absolutely delicious; we enjoyed the Enchilada de Camarones ( shrimp stew in creole sauce) Shrimp Tostones Rellenos (fried green plantain topped with shrimp) Boiled Yuca, Platanito Maduro Frito (fried sweet plantains) washed down with freshly made pineapple and papaya juices and ending with a most delicious Flan Cubano. We absolutely recommend all to dine at this gem of a restaurant and enjoy the feel of Havana!

Great Cuban cuisine in a charming, friendly atmosphere!

We had a lovely, memorable dinner here, and highly recommend to others looking for great Cuban cuisine in Little Havana. This is a family-run restaurant, with parents cooking, and their daughter the warm, welcoming hostess and server. She explained that they created this place to re-create delicious family dinners in a cozy, home-like setting, and they've hit the mark. Food was really tasty, and the place so charming. Definitely worth a visit!

Unmissable address in Miami

What a nice surprise in the heart of little Havana. Discovering Cuban cuisine and we loved it. Favourite for homemade desserts like tres leches, then especially Mojito! A great host and the waitress is too kind.

A little Havana in Little Havana

Beautiful family restaurant in the heart of little havana. The restaurants inside looks like a traditional cuban house with the original furnitures. Resonable prices, very delicous food made by the parents of the very kind owner. Great service!

Great family meal!

We found this lovely, homely restaurant after a bit of research, and after walking through Little Havana. Most places there have live bands or loud music so you can't enjoy the ambience or have a chat together ( plus lots of cigar smoking!). Havana con B was very different - family run (Mum and Dad work in the kitchen), modest size, quiet music, varied seating in big chairs and antique tables and fun wall-hangings, all run by Lauren. Beer was $8 and a cocktail was $12 and a bottle of wine was $40, all great deals for the area. Food was local and hot - shrimp stew, grilled fish and pork stew, all prepared and served with care.

The real deal in Little Havana - do not miss!

Authentic Cuban food in this cozy restaurant- served with love and enthusiasm by the owner. Very different than the other commercial restaurants in Little Havana. Empanadas, croquettes, shrimp ajillo, pork asada - all delicious.

A Gem of a Place - Go!!

We went along on New Years Day without a reservation - we’d been craving a Cuban Sandwich, somewhere authentic, where we could sit and enjoy it and this cute find did not disappoint!! The staff were welcoming, charming and you can tell that they care deeply about their offering and their guests! The little place filled up whilst we were there and we enjoyed some appetisers, our desired Cuban sandwich and a Steak sandwich also and everything was fantastic!! We’d highly recommend this find, not just because the food is incredible but the owners deserve the support also - it’s a gem of a place - thank you for hosting us!!

Havana with B: Taste, Vibe and Family in the Heart of Miami 🎉🇨🇺

What a good place Havana is with B! I pause for a few minutes to leave this review because it is worth every one. If you want to taste rich Cuban food and feel like in our Cuban, this is the spot. From the moment you enter, you love the atmosphere. The decor is a perfect blend of classic and modern, with vivid colors and details that make you feel like you are in Cuba. Background music is the finishing touch for those good vibes you don't want to end. The food is simply BRUTAL. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and well served. The old clothes were on point, the crispy tones, and the mojito... wow, I don't even tell you! Fresh, well done and with that Cuban touch that makes it unique. Also, the portions are large, so you come out more than satisfied. The staff is super friendly and attentive, always with a smile and willing to recommend something if you do not know what to order. They treat you like you're family, and that's a lot appreciated. If you are going as a couple, with friends or with family, you feel comfortable. It’s one of those places where you not only eat rich, but also get a complete experience. The vibes are so good they make you want to stay for hours. Havana with B 100% recommended! #HavanaConB #Cuban Food #MiamiFoodie #GoodVibes #Recommended #AuthenticTaste

Down-home, authentic Cuban food in and environment of subdued elegance

By Rafael |

I live in Little Havana and I often get the same question from tourists and visitors: Where we can experience an authentic Cuban ambiance and REAL Cuban food? Well, I am elated to report that there indeed is such a place. Just a short walk east of SW 11th Avenue, you will arrive at 10O5 SW 8th Street,  the home of Habana con B ("Habana with a 'B'") Habana con B is not your typical touristy restaurant offering a watered-down version of Cuban food... Habana con B is The Real Deal. The restaurant, which has only been open for one year, definitely exhibits that "wow" factor that you experience the first time you enter a great restaurant. The magic commences the moment you walk through the door and are greeted by co-owner and hostess Laurent Guevara, who will welcome you with a genuinely sincere and welcoming smile. From the succulent pork in the "tostones rellenos" to the savory magic of the "camarones al ajillo", to the out-of-this-world desserts (flan and tres leches being the standouts), not to mention their delectable croquetas and empanadas, a visit to Habana con B amounts to a mouthwatering feast for your taste buds. To top it all off, Laurent will prepare for you the best sweet Cuban espresso this side of heaven. I have been there many times, and they never fail to amaze me with the quality of the food, the subdued elegance of its ambiance, and the warmth of its staff. Habana con B is truly a down-home family restaurant. Kitchen duties are principally handled by Laurent's Dad Victor, who is a professional chef, and her Mom, Mildrey, who also cooks up a delicious storm of true Cuban delights. Whether you have been to Havana, Cuba or not, a visit to Habana con B will prove to be an experience like no other in Little Havana; one that you will, no doubt, remember, and rave about, for days to come.

A little gem with great ambiance and amazing authentic cuban food

We spent an amazing evening in this small, cozy and authentic cuban restaurant. The waitress was super sweet, and her recommendations were great. Do not miss out on the Cuban flan, there are really no words to describe it... just amazing! There was also a Cuban singer with a great voice, she made this experience unforgettable. We found this place by chance and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have great food in a beautiful setting. Definitely a place to take your date!

Great Cuban Food!!

By MadFish1957 |

Visited Miami for a month and tried many great restaurants- and this little gem was one of them! You are welcomed by the owner and immediately feel at home. Started with a perfect Margarita. And then delicious, unique Cuban food followed. Don’t miss the croquettes. Wonderful meal.

Excellent Cozy Restaurant

By blueshopcart |

There are many Cuban restaurants in Miami, but none that I’ve been to as familial as Habana con B. A vintage decor, a home cooked meal served on non-commercial dinnerware, reminded me eating at someone’s home, when I was little. Coupled with a warmth and enthusiastic welcome and attention from Laurent, owner and server, makes it even more enjoyable. We had the Enchilada de pescado with white rice and maduros and Ropa Vieja, yuca con mojo and black beans. For dessert we tried the Flan and Tres Leches. Lastly a Cuban Cortadito! All excellent! Portions are generous so we brought some home! The restaurant has been opened since January of 2024 (only 10 months ago). Laurent and her husband have worked arduously to open this cozy restaurant serving home cooked meals, as her parents, whom we also met, do all the cooking! The restaurant is on 8th street and 10th Ave., away from the Calle Ocho row of restaurants not far from Brickell.

Best Cuban Sandwich shop in Miami!

Fabulous Cuban food. Drove around Miami on vacation and finally found this amazing out of the way eatery. Best Cuban home style food I've ever eaten.
