We were in Snyder Plaza and stopped by Half Shells for their gumbo and a shrimp po boy. Service was great and gumbo was consistently good, po boy had plenty of fried shrimp, my only suggestion would be to toast the French Bread.

I've been here numerous times and the food is consistently good. The service can be slow at times but the food never fails. This time I had the honey chipotle shrimp tacos and they were excellent. You get 3 for $12.99. Nice spice and the shrimp are fried perfectly. The accompanying rice is spicy and very tasty. Overall, a great place when in the mood for fish and seafood.

Just the freshest, best prepared seafood at very mid-range prices, much more affordable than the high end eateries Dallas is famous for. Don't be fooled by the small, cozy, neighborhood ambiance-this place employs people in the kitchen who can REALLY cook. We love the boiled shrimp that tastes like it just came off the boat, and the cod is wonderful. Don't miss the fried oyster nachos!

Fresh and well prepared seafood. Specials change daily but even the regular menu is replete with favorites including versatile salads, standard fare like fried shrimp, fish tacos, healthy options and fresh fish options to choose from. Fast and friendly service. Snider Plaza is torn up with construction (unfortunate) but we need to support the small businesses that are the backbone of our community. This isn't a stretch with a solid restaurant like Half Shells Snider Plaza!

We had a lovely dinner, excellent food and great, personal service. I echo a previous review that you shoud come early or late as we had to wait for a while, but it was worth the wait. There are some non-menu items - ask the server. The cole slaw served with some of the meals was unique and delicious.

Have been enjoying good quality seafood, reasonable prices and fast service for years at Half Shells in Snider Plaza. Oyster nachos and peel and eat shrimp appetizers set the stage, and the salmon special and blackened rainbow trout were particularly tasty Friday night.

We found this place via an online app. Great service, the Oyster Nachos are not to be missed. David, our server brought us a sample of the Oyster Nachos and all of their soups. I had raw Gulf oysters and my lady friend had the nachos. Their Front Porch Lemonade is a great cocktail. Reasonable prices for a trendy part of Dallas

Found this spot on accident after GPS took us to the wrong location. Definetly A great find, the food was awsome and first time visitors are treated to a little sample of the oyster nachos and the soups. Defenitly would go back if ever in dallas again

Half Shells in Snider Plaza is a very good seafood restaurant! They have nightly specials as well as a regular menu. Service is good and the margaritas are very good. Highly recommend!

Ever go into a restaurant...where the food is terrific, the wait staff truly care...warm, cozy, snugly , feeling ...This is It......Group of 5 ... each one of us ... walked away with such good feelings......

We frequently dine at this place when visiting Dallas. They have delicious oysters, crab legs, and fish! They also have a healthier menu! It is a small restaurant so get there early if you don't want to wait!
