The Service: SUPER SUPER EFFICIENT!! The Food: The broth is so flavorful. Same broth with different choices of meat in the soup. Price is very reasonable with the portion of the soup. Very simple dish but totally comfort food. The Parking: Small parking lot at the back of the restaurant and a block away, residential area free street parking

This is rumored to be the best sullungtang in town! And it definitely meets the hype. It was very delicious! Their kkakdoogi was amazing! Their menu is very simple. They only serve sullungtang and you get to choose what meat you want. It's cash only. Cheap and delicious!

Han Bat (as it is called) is a Korean restaurant that specializes in Shul Lung Tang, a Korean soup vaguely like Vietnamese pho, but milky white in color, with fewer noodles. The color comes from the ox bones, which are boiled for hours to create the soup. Some say it has a very beefy flavor; I did not think so, but it could be I am used to beef soup being just salty rather than beefy. When I say Han Bat specializes in this, what that means is that there are eight items on the menu: five which are soup with your choice of meat added (brisket; flank; tongue; intestine, tripe, and spleen; and mixed), and three of which are boiled beef (Soo-Yook) (flank; intestine, tripe, and spleen; and mixed). The soup is $11 including tax, the boiled beef is $22, and the whole menu is posted at each table on the wall in small frame. The food arrives very quickly, because the soup is already prepared in a large pot, and the meats are already boiled and just have to be added. Seasonings (salt, pepper, hot sauce, and scallions are on the table, and kimchi and "turnip kimchi" are served. It was interesting to try, and Han Bat is apparently the "gold standard" for this (plus it is actually open for breakfast, and this is traditionally a breakfast food), but I think pho has more flavor. Parking is either street parking or in a "lot" behind the restaurant--actually more like a very wide alley. It's valet, because all the cars are packed in like those "move-the-blocks" puzzles, but it's only $1.

I love this place. Always best to go to place where there are only 5 things on the menu and 4 of them are kinds of the same soup.

It is a small and friendly restaurant. like eating at home. The location is not easy to find but the food is so yummy. The menu is simple so we all order the same mix soup. They offer 2 kind of kinchi and unlimited. Taste very good and very Korean style. And the hot soup with spring onion is so delicious. If I could visit LA again, I will go there again.

This is such an amazing Korean eatery to be. They only serve Sul Lung Yang and Suyuk, so don’t be disappointed if you don’t see other dishes you might want to get. They serve free flow tea (cold/hot), kimchi and radish. The soup can be bland so they provide seasonings (salt and pepper) and spring onion! DIY time ;) but the soup tastes richer when the meat are soaked after awhile. Yums. Go for the mixed soup if it’s your first time so you’d know what you like (or don’t like). My personal favorite is the flank!

Simply the best Korean beef soup you can eat.

This place it’s made me remind korea back into early 1990s they’re serve good korean meat stew breakfast rice soup meaty korean style. Kimchee container refill all you can eat serve for you right in front of you every table **Rihanna she’s been here to shot the fashion magazine *cash only* ||||||||||||||||||||||| service -2.5 Clean - 2.2 Food - 3.5 parking - 2.5

My daughter and I were in the neighborhood and looking for something different, and we stumbled on this place (you almost literally need to stumble on it because it's not really well marked and most people come in through the back entrance). They serve one thing--ox bone soup with meat of your choice. Sort of like Korean pho. You add salt, green onions, and gochujang at your table. it comes with rice to add with your soup or eat with the kimchi. I LOVED the radish kimchi. We were the only non-Koreans there during our entire meal, which we took as a good sign! There is a decent (for LA) sized parking lot in the back, which is also a plus. Finally, the price is right--$12.50 a person, with all you can eat kimchi.

This is the ultimate Korean comfort food! Cheap and tasty. Their menu is simple and small. Korean soups only. They give you a bucket of green onions for you soup and salt for your liking. Best soup in LA hands down. You know a place is good and authentic when all you see are locals and they only speak Korean.

Get the soup with brisket. Add a side of extra brisket for $7. It’s amazingly good! Super healthy and super tasty’

Every time when we visit LA, for breakfast, we come to this place. We've been to other places before finding this place. For Korean morning soup, I would say this is one of my favorite/best. Their menu is very simple..but, what you get, any soup, is great. If you are looking for a clean place, this isn't it...but, looking for good tasty soup, this is it. The parking can get pretty hairy...I guess that's how it is in most places in LA. Highly recommend for those craving for 설롱탕...

We tried this Korean ox bone soup for the first time today at this hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Koreatown. My husband and I chose one with brisket and one with flank. We season it with the condiments at the table with salt, spring onions, black pepper and red pepper. It was delicious!! We really liked their kimchi and radish too! We just thought it was a bit pricey!!

a must for any suhl lung tang place: good kkap tu gi.

The bowl is rather big and the flavours are ok, just slightly bland for us but overall very good still as we didn’t like it to be to salty at all. Price was reasonable for he USA. And we had 2nd serving of kimchi which was nice. Menu and prices are on the wall.

This is small restaurant with a few tables and only serving the Ox Bone soup with choice of meat. It is located in Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles city. I ordered the Yangji (Flank) option of the Bone Soup. There were some noodles and sliced beef in the tasty broth. The order came with a small bowl of rice and Korean condiments: kimchi, daikon. It was my first experience with Korean Bone soup. I would return again for a simple meal. The hungry teen accompanying us was still hungry after one order of soup.

My daughter and I were in Korea town and wanted to try some authentic food. In this very clean and friendly restaurant we were pleasantly surprised! We both had the Oxtail soup with our choice of protein. We tried the flank and brisket and were pleasantly surprised! The appetizers were good (pickled cabbage and another that I still am not sure what it was but it was excellent!) our meal was served in minutes. I highly recommend this wonderful little place to eat! Were not Korean...and we could not read the menu, nor say the name of the place, but it was the best and we will go back for sure!

Every time I’m in LA, Han Bat Sul Lung Tang is my very first stop. The broth is absolutely to die for, rich, flavorful, and unlike anything else. No other place even comes close to replicating the depth of flavor they’ve perfected here. You can choose from a variety of meats to accompany the broth, but honestly, all you need is a hot bowl of sul lung tang with their amazing kimchi and kkakdugi (radish kimchi). Simple, comforting, and deeply satisfying. This restaurant has been around for over 30 years, and it shows in the best way. The consistency, the quality, and the soul in every bowl speak for themselves. Parking is available, and the long-time waitress (emo) who’s been there for 20+ years is always warm and welcoming. If you’re visiting LA, this spot is a must. A true taste of tradition that never disappoints.

Very clean, fun staff. The environment was welcoming. Awesome location, a little hidden but worth the stair climb. I had the strawberry bingsoo, macha tiramisu, and milk ice cream. All delicious but everyone agreed the tiramisu was the best. I will be back here when I visit again. Thank you!!!

The mixed ox bone soup was absolutely delightful. You can add salt & pepper as you wish, but I think the combination of kim chi was just right. Expect to wait 5-10 minutes in line at the back door.

This is the perfect food for a cold day or after a night of heavy drinking. The menu is very simple because they only focus on sul lung tang. Don't expect a wide variety of side dishes. Their soup only comes with rice, pickled radish, and pickled cabbage (kimchi). This place can get really busy especially during lunch time on Sat and Sundays. They have small parking lot in the back but it get's packed pretty quickly. If you're lucky you can get a spot on the metered parking in front.

You get a bowl of Bone marrow soup. Up front it sounds yummie however it lacks in flavor. I choose the tongue to accompany the broth. Many interesting choices but I believe the result will be the same. Add salt and spice hot sauce that goes along with the broth but still no big deal. Try it out to say you have been there, done that but it is somewhat dullsville.

This place without a doubt has the best seolleongtang in California, despite it's weird spelling. Add your own salt, scallions, pepper, and chili, and you're ready to go!
Very Friendly
