This nice gem is tucked away in Chicago’s Chinatown; their combos are fantastic. Nice presentation, excellent broth. I had the Seafood Combo and my guest had the Regular combo. Nice ambiance too.

We arrived there right at 11:30 on a Saturday for All You Can Eat hotpot at $23 per person. There was no line that early so we were seated immediately. A note, the AYCE menu is definitely smaller than the regular menu, but if you are careful as to what you order it's worth the price. The varieties of things you can put into your hot pot are extensive. Go for the $$ items such as the Seafood & Meats. We ordered the half-half spicy/signature milky broth as our soup base. The spicy broth here makes certain foods taste a lot more flavorful and gives an extra kick that the milky broth doesn't have. That alone was delicious. The concept is great and the food was fresh. My personal favorites are the Lamb, Fatty Lamb, Garlic Beef, Fish Ball with Roe (the tear drop shaped ones), square Fish Tofu/Cake, Jumbo Shrimp, Mussels, Squid, Tong Ho Veggies and Quail Eggs. For the fun experience and the delicious broth, best in Chinatown, and high quality meats, it is definitely worth it! The service that we received was excellent. The restaurant becomes packed around normal dining hours. You can only make a reservation with a party of 8 or more. If you have less than 8 in your party, I would suggest avoiding peak lunch/dinner hours. Come for your birthday. Bring your ID. Your meal will be free. Parking is only available on the street and it is metered!

The food was good, and the service was good too. the price was fair but little high. the place was very busy. also, you have to wait to get into the place.

For $27 ($22 for Seniors such as myself) you get a bubbling hot pot with bone marrow broth. Either mild or spicy (the latter is SPICY) or a combo of both. The mild is so good you can drink it like soup as a last course. Unlimited lamb, fish and veggies to cook in the pot. Incredibly tasty. Be aware, even with a reservation the wait times can be long. Well worth it!

Happy Lamb is a culinary gem. The menu is so diverse and the broths are spectacular. I love the 1/2 & 1/2 marrow broths. Yummy

Very delicious Chinese hot pot. The raw meat and vegetables are very delicious. Meet eaters and vegetarians can all find their love. The service is good. The location is very convenient. I took my coworkers to the restaurant and they all loved it! Our team is very diversified. People from different counties including vegetarians.

We had a Groupon to Little Sheep or we would have never discovered it. We were impressed with the friendly wait staff and the comfortable decor. Now we will visit regularly. It's off the touristy beaten track in Chinatown and if you've never done hot pot before here's a few tips. Plan on a little more time than a usual dinner out. Sip your complimentary tea while you check off the items you want. Don't fall for the all you can eat. You will have all you can eat with the regular hot pot menu! The spicy broth is delicious but almost too much of a good thing. Spend the extra and get the combo which is both types of broth in a divided pot. Order the veggie platter which appears to be the entire leafy green section of your grocery, but cooks down and makes the soup very tasty. You only need one type of meat. We over ordered by selecting the lamb/beef and chicken. The platters are piled high with thinly shaved meat that cooks quickly. Noodles are a must. The wide are delicious. Mushrooms are worthwhile. You can order the dipping sauces for no charge and those are awesome for flavoring the soup in your bowl. We loved the garlic and the sesame. By the time you are satisfied you will hate to leave your beautiful broth behind.

The food is good but me and my friends were extremely mistreated by a male waiter. It was the most uncomfortable situation I've ever experienced in a restaurant. First, when you arrive, they don't tell you that there is a maximum time per table of 90 minutes. I understand that, especially on busy days. However, my friends and I had been at the table for less than 60 minutes and the waiter started yelling at us that he needed to remove the pot of broth because we were already at our time limit. He took the pot away when we were still eating and kicked us out!! I don’t recommend this place and I’m never going back. I felt extremely humiliated. A meal that was supposed to be nice and cozy, turned out a nightmare. This place doesn’t deserve anyone’s money!

Rarely does an event exceed one's expectations--and I say "event" deliberately since lunch at Little Sheep was truly an experience to remember. Between the reviews and a local with an enthusiastic thumb's up, we were pretty excited to try this place out during a one day trip to Chinatown. O. M. G. The atmosphere and lighting were lovely, our waiter, Bao, so personable, and the presentation was... nothing short of Edible Art. We were there nearly two hours, the half and half hot pot refilled whenever it was halfway gone, the seasonings and flavors like nectar from the culinary gods. Seriously. It was almost like a religious experience. I don't ever remember thinking I could almost cry from the sheer exquisiteness of a meal. We were told to take the leftovers home--enough for dinner for two! We got out of there for under $30 with a generous tip rolled in (unbelievable). It was worth the trip to Chicago just to eat at Little Sheep. Amazing.

I loved this place! Hot Pot is a very fun and delicious way of eating and Happy Lamb does it best. Coming to this restaurant made my day!

It's crowded on a Saturday, so I get the desire to turn tables over quickly, but he attempted to take away our food no more than 50 minutes into being seated, and after we said we weren't done, he came back 10 minutes later and began to take away the food again. After informing him that we had been there just over an hour, he became argumentative and yelled at us that he had already given us an extra 30 minutes beyond the time limit, which was incredibly inaccurate. He then took off with our pot before we could even react. I would understand the aggressive manner in which we were pushed out if we were in the wrong, but clearly we were not here, and despite bringing this issue to the attention of our server, I'm sure nothing happened. There are so many other, better hot pot places around the city, so I will never go back here and would advise others to avoid this place, as they clearly only care about $$$.

Although I have a slight preference for the hotpots at Mandarin Kitchen and Little Lamb, the Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot is almost at that level, and the prices are lower. The spicy broth is redolent with peppers but also with a rich array of other flavors, and the non-spicy one is very flavorful too. Unlike its competitors, who provide a range of dipping sauces on the house, here you order them at a slight charge. Little Lamb has a veritable buffet of mix-your-own dipping sauces. Still, with its low prices, rich broths, and good quality fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, and a wide array of noodle choices, this is a good choice for Chinese hot pot.

Had a craving for hotpot googled for choices. Chose this place for its high ratings. Went there at around 8pm without reservation. There was a line at the seating area with a few groups waiting to be seated. Was told by hostess the wait is approximately 45 mins. Got seated within 45 mins. Was given both the a la carte and the buffet dinner menus. Decided to go with the buffet menu as it has a decent selection of food options. Selected the half & half hotpot which gave 2 different soup base/broth. It states on the menu that the buffet is limited to a time frame of 90 mins. The dishes were all promptly brought to the table after we were seated as we had used the wait time to pick out our orders. They were of good quality and freshness. But the lamb options were a tad disappointing (too gamey for my taste). Ordered the a la carte specialty roasted lamb which turned out to be too dry. Enjoyed the seafood and beef options though. Had repeat orders on them. A good restaurant for hotpot on a cold winter night. Would be nice if they had more condiments/dipping sauces such as fresh cut hot chili peppers and soy sauce.

After a beautiful bike ride, we got hungry and decided to visit Chinatown in Chicago. We immediately were drawn to Happy Lamb as there was a lineup of 30 minutes. Best decision, fresh ingredients, very nice personnel and good service. All we could eat for 40$ per person.

This is the best place for hot pot in Chicago. The service and the quality of food is excellent. The pride is average but for what you get, it's really worth it

Visited the Chi for a quick turnaround. Headed to Chinatown to look around. Both the Uber driver and a Fireman recommended this place, soooo I went. First impressions was a very clean restaurant as you walk in. They have two menus 1) All you can eat for about $25 (plus tax) 2) ala carte. They sat me down in a booth and I opted for the all you can eat. I chose the garlic beef, premium beef, shrimp, veggies, and noodles. Ton of food. Oh, I got the half and half brew pot liquid. Delicious and exciting experience. You dip everything in the boiling flavored broths. Tasty!!! I recommend you try this place out. GO HUNGRY!

My friend recommended this restaurant while I was visiting Chicago. I have never had Hot Pot before so I was excited to try it. The restaurant was pretty full when we arrived so I thought that was a good sign. After a short wait, we were seated and began to pick out our selections. You choose a base broth (you may choose up to 2) then add your meats, vegetables, and other sides. They then bring out your pot with the broth and it begins to heat up. Your other selections are then brought out and you add them to your broth. You can add however much you want and at whatever time. This was a great experience and it tasted much better than I was expecting. I thought ours was going to be rather plain because we ordered the vegetable broth and didn’t choose many sides with colors but it was really tasty! I can’t wait to return!

This Was My Son's Choice Today When I Invited Him to Lunch. Worth a Trip to the South Side from Nearly the WI Border! The Owner Asked When We Were Seated if This was Our 1st Time. We Answered "Yes" & He Did a Wonderful Job Guiding Us Through the 'All You Can Eat Menu'. We Ordered: Lamb, 2 Selections of Beef, Baby Bok Choy, Enoki, Cilantro, Broccoli, Baby Bamboo Hearts, Udon Noodles, Shrimp, & Quail Eggs. My Favorites Were the Cold Peanut/Vinegar Dish & a Selection I Wasn't too Keen on in the Beginning: Fish Ball with Roe (MUST TRY; the owner told us he gets these from San Francisco). At the End We Were Given the House Shrimp Paste to Try; Great Choice as Well; no Peeling. Food was Fresh & Presented Well Clean Restaurant Hip Venue, but Welcoming Staff Was Helpful & Gracious Incredible Food Experience for $23 Owner Also Told Us They Have a Location in Naperville Will be Back with More Friends & Family!!

We visited on a super busy Sunday afternoon for lunch and loved the food and experience. Each table includes a hot plate and the cornerstone of the meal is created by you-- staff bring you the base broth (vegetarian/meat/spicy...) and you order vegetables, meat and/or noodles/rice. Staff bring you your selections and you cook lunch! Super fresh food and very tasty. The service from our waiters was top notch and they helped us understand the process. Can't wait to return!

We had a very nice meal. The service was a little disinterested, Recommend the all you can eat menu and the spicy broth. The lamb and garlic beef were both outstanding. Tripe interesting as well. Seafood selections limited: Big head on shrimp tasty but always challenging to eat. Great selection of mushroom all highly recommended!

This was our first time getting a hot pot and we were not disappointed! We started with the half & half pot and added several fresh vegetables, meats, and tofu. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. Good restaurant!

was one of the best meal ever! The meat and vegetables are really fresh! Just try to considering before order or you will end up with a lot of to go!

We went for lunch to this location. It was just 4 adults and 1 child under the age of 2. The food was okay and there was no problem with the service as such. Apart from 2 servers/helpers who were not very helpful or nice. You could make out they were passing comments behind our back. Towards the end when we requested the bill I was charged a gratuity of more than 20% and was told that even though they didn’t charge me for the toddler but the gratuity had to be paid for a table of 5 ( I never had any problems with paying a tip but I felt cheated for adding the gratuity directly to the bill when it’s only allowed for a table of 6 or more). Below in small letters it’s clearly mentioned on their menu that for a party of 6 adults and more a 18% of gratuity would be added directly to the bill. So I had no issues if we were a party of 6 or more. But we were just 4 adults and were automatically charged a gratuity. Upon requesting explanation a server came to my table and started speaking very loudly trying to embarrass us and trying to justify what they charged is how it should be. I still fail to understand how they count an infant in their head count. When I went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manger I was told that the manager was not available and won’t be available for another few hours. Overall even though the food might be good… the attitude of the staff and how they talk to their customers is terrible. Cheating customers in broad daylight. They never fixed the problem.

I went there with my friends on my birthday to take advantage of the free meal :p. Arrived on a Wednesday night at 6pm. I was lucky to get a table without waiting and the place was starting to get really packed around 8pm even on a week night! It’s a typical all you can eat hot pot with a variety of meats, vegetables and seafood! My favorite was the fish ball with roe(?)! They don’t sell alcohol but you can bring your own bottle. However they have the proper glass ware for wine so we drank it from a regular tea cup haha. Service was great! Our water and tea were constantly being filled. Food came out fast! Nothing to complain!

Outstanding service, fresh food, snazzy ambiance, affordable prices and a plethora of options are the best descriptors for this restaurant. This will now be the standard to which I hold other Hot Pot restaurants accountable to. Absolutely fantastic experience

In the tradition of shabu-shabu, that well known Japanese-style family hot pot, Little Sheep ranks superior - Mongolian style. The food was fresh and the service was excellent. The choice of single pot liquid or dual pot liquid makes the flavors exciting. One is hot and spicy and the other is not. The food is delicious and the serving staff is cordial.

On offer is a an all-you-can-eat prix fix and ala carte options for table-side cooking in various broths. Veggies, meats, poultry, and seafood come on trays to submerge in the broth. Rice, a few sides available. Soft drinks and jasmine tea. Preferred the spicy broth... An adventure in cooking your own dinner!

We went hear for my husband birthday. And since its his birthday he's free (thats 23$ i think). This is my second time here.. Their half and half soup is the best (the one on the pic is their bone soup because we couldnt have a spicy one because we have a kid) its is very delicious. Their selection of meet is very good, we love the garlic beef and the fatty beef (i know right it is really fatty!) but it was one of the best, it really did melts in your mouth. This is a eat all you can hot pot (23$) but you could order a la carte. But to save a buck its best to have the eat all you can. Since you cannot find any cheap sliced meats anywhere and their good sliced meats are very good. Service was good and fast. Though we are just lucky enough we didnt wait at all. But most of the days you have to wait in line so prepare to be there like 30mins before the peak hours of the day. They we're friendly and accomodating. All in all it is one of the best hot pot in chicago and will definitely be going back here again.

The all you can eat is wonderful. I'm so glad my friend chef summer recommended it. We had such an amazing time there. The food is super fresh and you get a lot so bring your appetite. It's a super clean restaurant and the staff was so very nice. I think if you are in Chicago you need to come here.

It was our first experience of hot pot, and we did not what to expect. In short: it was amazing! the restaurant is very clean, the food is amazing! you should try it! and the best: not expensive!

We drove all the way to Chinatown just to try out this place because we have heard good reviews about it. We went for lunch so we didn't think all-you-can-eat ($22 per person for lunch and dinner) would be worth it so we went with a la carte. The There are options for spicy and not spicy (milky) broth. We went with the non-spicy milky broth and it was delicious. It has all kinds of Chinese Mongolian herbs and it was so flavorful and not oily at all. Service was alright, nothing too great or poor. They do come by once a while to refill/add the broth for you. You have to ask them for sauces and they brought out 4 different kind of sauce (satay sauce, peanut sauce, garlic oil sauce, and spicy sauce). We the portion of the meat and side are quite large compared to other hot pot places we tried in Chinatown. All the veggie and meats looked fresh. The interior of the restaurant is pretty big and clean. We will totally come here again and try the all-you-can-eat when we are super hungry.

This was my first hotpot experience, and honestly one of my favorite meals in recent memory. For those familiar, hotpot is a style of eating where your table has a pot of boiling spicy broth, and you order various raw meats and vegetables to dunk into the broth (Korean BBQ but with broth instead of a grill). The Happy Lamb does offer an ala-carte option, but if you're doing that at hotpot, you're doing it wrong. Go for the "All You Cant Eat" option. $30 per person (including tip, unless you want booze with your meal). To start with you'll be given a menu with all of the various meat/veg options for you to check off what you want. Go nuts, order a much as you think you can stomach. Get ALL of the variety. There is a decision to be made here though. Be warned that there are no "sample-size" portions. If you order the fatty beef, they're going to bring you a TON of it. It's all you can eat, but they warn up front that if you leave more than 5oz of anything uneaten they'll weight it and charge you for it. I'm a fat kit, I ordered probably 6 different meats and 10 different veggies, and still managed to put it all down plus more. The first and most important selection though is your broth. They have a basic bone broth, or a spicy, or a "half and half" option. I went with this, but if I had it to do over again I'd just go all spicy. It's not uncomfortable hot, and it's got so much flavor. What makes this place so great is the quality. For $30 all you can eat meat, you're not expecting the best meat possible. But you'd be wrong. Top-notch quality on everything. I honestly don't know how they stay in business with those prices. The stand outs for me were the fatty beef and the lamb. Great quality, phenomenal flavor, and sliced so thing that it cooks with just a few seconds dunk in the broth. When you're done having one of the best meals of your life, step outside and explore Chicago's beautiful China town. So much flavor, so much culture, if you Chicago this is a MUST EAT.

Here's another place to experience fine dining whenever you're in Chinatown Chicago. Little Sheep is a Mongolian style restaurant. You select your raw meats and other ingredients from a dim sum style menu, a large pot is placed on the middle of your dining table which has a cooking apparatus to add your ingredients to create your own meal basically. Just so you know there are other items on the menu like chicken wings for example that you can order fully prepared for you to accompany your hot pot meal. You're also given a dish with minced garlic, a red spicy paste that I forgot the name of, and a dish of peanut and a sesame sauce. With the three you mixed them together in whatever way you like to create a dipping sauce for your cooked meats and ingredients. Definitely give it a try, it's worth the experience you won’t regret it.

We had the All You Can Eat Hot Pot for $23.99. It was worth the price and we were totally stuffed. We chose the Best of Both World soup base so half original and half spicy, some food taste better not spicy and others need the spicy broth. There are plenty of food items to chose and you can order as many times as you want. We were pleased with the quality of the food. Service was fair, not attentive and we hated to do this but we had to flag down a server every time we wanted to re-order more food. Servers were still friendly. The place does get busy and the wait can be over an hour. They will take down your number and text you when your table is ready so you can walk around Chinatown. There is an ice cream machine and snacks in the waiting area but we aimed to keep our bellies empty when we are craving Hot Pot.

Bumped into it during a Chinatown street festival. The concept is not new, but it was to my experience. If you don't mind "working for your food", i.e. dipping your own meats and veggies in boiling cauldrons of fragrant broths, then you will enjoy. If you want to sit back and be totally served, do not order the hot pot.

Very large portions, low price, amazing for a night out. We ordered hot pot with cabbage and regular broth, the last one was so delicious I could just eat it on its own!

I could see why people like it but it’s not for me. We got the spicy broth and it was okay. The buns are delicious. Wish they had enoki mushrooms. They let you make your own sauce but only 3 of the ingredient options are labeled at the sauce bar. Our waiter gave us our food and left and didn’t come back once to ask us how it was or if we needed anything.

Food was delicious. The prices were fair and the staff was really friendly and always made sure to clean everything up. We recommend it to everyone just to let you know that there can be a waiting time to be seated if you just do the walk-in. So we suggest to book a seat first ahead of time

Certainly exceeded my expectations. The hot pot was a unique experience. You select your broth, meats, veggies and cook them right there at the table. The meats are delish. We had bone broth. One of the best things was the manager named (pronounced O KEY)...what a kind and helpful and all around nice guy. For a first time visiting something like this IT WAS WONDERFUL

Try this place if you've never tried hotpot before. They walk you through the ins and outs of hotpot dining. First they bring a pot filled with a scrumptious broth to the table and it bubbles away on the burner. Then you select proteins, greens, and carbs for your first round - the beef and pork were thinly shaved slices rolled cigar-like. You put your food into the broth and let it cook - over time, the broth becomes more and more interesting as you take out and eat food and add more - mushrooms, bok choy etc. You can add a 2nd and 3rd round of food selections - mussels were excellent, as was the fish. There was also a counter area offering a large selection of condiments and dipping sauces. One price for all you can eat - but don't over order. They charge for food that is ordered and not eaten to prevent patrons from wasting food. No doggie bags. Everything was spotlessly clean and the service is professional. This is a great family experience and a wonderful way to introduce children (and adults) to fresh Chinese style food and culture beyond the traditional takeout container food. Situated in the heart of Chinatown.

The service in this restaurant it was disappointed. We needed to get up to give the order to waiters. They have never come to us and ask us if we need somethings more, we needed always go to find them and told them what we need. That's why we only gave a 10% tips, but when we were leaving then asked us if we have left enough money and we were confused. And that was because their minimum tips is 15% and we didn't gave more and we didn't know about that. After we gave coins for other 5% (4$) and the waitress said: Is there enough? I have headache every time that i see coin for tips. I think she was very rude with us and we never go back again. And the food is not as good as we expected.

We wanted to have lunch at a place that would have authentic Chinese food for my Chinese exchange student. This place lived up to his expectations. He said that the food made him feel like home. I agree! The food was excellent. This was my first time at this restaurant and the food was really good and everyone was friendly.

The eat all you can with refills of your choice was worth the time, effort and price getting to Chinatown. I definitely will go again.

This place was hopping for a Thursday night. Great music. Young couples and families talking, eating, laughing and enjoying themselves all around the restaurant. No wonder...the food was amazing and the experience of cooking it yourself, priceless and so much fun. More steak? Yes please. Seafood galore? You got it. More veggies or noodles? Yes, again. So many choices and all of it easily cooked in your hot pot in as little as 3-5 minutes. What a great way to feed a hungry family. And to top it off, the soft serve ice cream machine on the way out the door - a perfect ending. A couple of notes - the alcohol list is sparse so unless you like beer and or a limited choice of sake/soju - you're out of luck. Second, they don't take reservations so prepare to wait if it's busy.

Happy Lamb WAS, by far, my favorite place to eat in Chicago! I came from Gary, Indiana almost twice per month to eat there! However, my nightmare began last night as my date noticed a roach crawling near my left shoulder. The waitress comped our meal and was extremely apologetic. Nevertheless, I don't think that I can stomach eating there again. Up till now, it was outstanding.....We left and were quiet the entire ride back to NW Indiana.....I was so disappointed!

Little Sheep really knows how to serve Hot Pot. The presentation and quality of food was excellent and the staff was very attentive and professional. It's located in a great location in the heart of Chicago Chinatown.

I was visiting Chicago to see one of my friend, her newborn and her husband. She had a groupon for this restaurant that was about to expire so we decided to come here. We came around 7pm, and didn't have too bad of a wait, must have been around 20-30 minutes. We were given menus to look at while we waited. Lots of options. Staff were all extremely kind and patient with us. Even though the restaurant was packed, all the staff members were pleasant.

We have been eating Hot Pot for twenty years. Happy Lamb was a wonderful experience, and the food was Delicious! The ordering process was easy, and the wait staff were pleasant and efficient. We found that the broth was a little bit salty for us, and when I asked the manager about it the next day he said we could order it with no salt or less salt. Again I was very impressed. All of the meat, fish, and seafood were delicious and fresh. The broth was great quality and perfectly seasoned. There was great selection of vegetables and noodles and rice. We were told dessert was also included. You need to try Happy Lamb Hot Pot! You’ll be glad you did!

I don't often give 5-stars!! This wonderful place deserved it. Modern, well decorated, yet nicely Chinese. The whole experience of getting our own booth with hot pot of broth, and being able to customize ALL of our ingredients was ideal. We went on my husband's birthday and his AUCE hot pot was free. What a great bonus.Mine was $24 and I got my money's worth! Fresh, delicious choices, friendly and helpful servers, and an abundance of food made us HAPPY CUSTOMERS! It was very busy even at 2pm, but we didn't wait long. Loved Chinatown in general!

Excellent tasty food, a very unique fun experience, I tried many new foods all of them delicious. We were SO FULL. We made it through two rounds timed out for the third too full.

Eat here. If you are familiar with hot pot, if you eat hot pot once a week, if you have never had hot pot, if you like to eat meat, if you do not eat meat, it was delicious. The service was not good as we had to ask the waitress for more broth and water four times, but, it was a very, very busy night. Didn't take away from the experience and we didn't come for the service but for the food. We will eat here again. Come here, eat here, enjoy.

This is a must on any list. Casual atmosphere, quality staff and fresh, abundant selection beautifully presented. Seemed to be where local families went, which is always a good indicator. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Chicago!

This was my first time getting Hot Pot, and it was really delicious! My friends and I had a really fun time trying all of the meats and noodles and veggies. It’s a nice meal to bond over, I think I only looked at my phone to take pictures. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it.

This restaurant is easily Best Hot Pot in Chicago. No wonder it received high reviews. It is located in the old side of Chinatown. As we arrived, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and they follow physical distancing. We chose al a carte instead of all-you-can-eat. After we ordered, our waiter politely reminded that we ordered too much and we appreciated that. All were excellent, especially thinly-cut meats, fish, baby octopus, lotus flower.

The restaurant offer all you can eat for $21.99 or a la carte, if your group are not a big eaters, a la care would come out cheaper. They’re are 2 soups (normal or spicy) and many meats, veggies, tofus and noodles to choose from. This is a very well know chain restaurant in both the East and West coast for a while, it finally made it to Chicago. ;-) If you come in a weekend, expect to wait about an hour.

My wife and I planned to celebrate our anniversary by trying Mongolian hot pot at Little Sheep, and the end of May usually means cool spring weather. Turns out Chicago blasted 90+ degrees at us. But we found that the warm heat of Little Sheep's delicious broths brought a different type of savory and spicy warmth, and the complex broths' flavors were deepened by the shrimp, meats, root vegetables and herbs we cooked in it. Although the menu lets you check what you want in each of three courses, all of our choices came to the table at once- which was better for us as we could try everything at once and mix ingredients at will. The wait staff was subdued but helpful and nice - they refilled our broths half way through the AYCE extravaganza. Service was speedy, the broth came out in minutes and the proteins and veggies came very quickly as well. Our favorite meats; New Zealand aged lamb and the garlic beef, both thinly sliced and the beef marinated in garlic sauce. We also liked the shrimp and mussels, but found the octopus tough. The menu says, “no sauces needed", highlighting Little Sheep's delicious broths, but the sesame, garlic and hot oil were excellent additions. Also try the delicious vinegar peanuts and spicy potato starters, which added texture and acid to the party. Hot or not, it's always time for a hot pot, and Little Sheep serves a gigantic, flavorful and fun meal that will challenge your preconceptions of your AYCE capacities. Also: BYOB;)

Best bang for your buck for all you can eat! Excellent soup base, excellent service. One order of meat is A WHOLE LOT of meat - they really don't skimp out! will def come back for more!!

I had heard about this place from my daughter, who dined there with a group of millennial’s and all enjoyed it; so while in town for a visit I invited some old friends here for dinner, and it seems that Baby Boomers loved it also. It’s a cross between Simply Fondue and Benihana, where cooking the meal is part of the experience. Do the all you can eat and mix and match meats, veggies and noodles, for a great meal experience. You can do a split pot of mild and spicy broth too, so everyone gets what they want. I’ve not had a bad meal in Chinatown yet, but I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for more than just a good meal.

Absolutely delicious and all-around fantastic experience. This place is worth the wait, once your seated and fill out your sheet, the food is out in 5-10 minutes and ready for you to cook. There’s great depth and variety on the menu, there’s something for everyone. The quail eggs and fish balls were some of our favorites. Will definitely be taking more people here.

Honest to goodness...authentic hot pot in Chicago. Priced the same as in China...that was shocking....same atmosphere as in China....operated by wonderful Chinese hosts/managers. If you have never tried hot pot...try it here...it is an experience and I assure you that you will be back. I do love great steakhouses....but this is my first choice for Chicago eats as it is so rare to find this type of place in the mid west....steak houses on the other hand are plentiful.....Please try!! You will love it...!!

I like this tasteful hot pot very much. Abundance of foods for All-you-can-eat Menu. Be careful not to over order otherwise you will be fine for wasting! Good & Cheap got me shock frankly to say. Highly recommended for people first time visit Chicago like me.
Best all you can eat hot pot restaurant in Chicago.
Great for vegans and vegetarians as well with good selection of non meat items. Fresh and attentive service.
