Will never come back !

By Mary |

We ordered fried calamari, octopus and Spanish omelet oh yes and bread Service was horrible even thought the establishment was not that busy. The calamari was way too salty and grease , the octopus was tough, chewy , mixed with some sort of sweet sauce , combination of it all was bad . The Spanish omelet had no taste , the bread comes with olive oil and it was cold . Wine was good . We spend about $90 . And the question is would I come back here NO , NO, NO not even if food was free . Is a shame this is a great location , Owners should take better care of it .

Hard sell and utterly unauthentic

By Andylanz |

Wine and tapas sound great and living in Spain we love it. So imagine our amazement to have some guy try to hard sell us overpriced wine before we hardly sat down. I know, I know we should have walked away then - but he was quite intimidating. The place was so noisy we could hardly hear his well rehearsed but glaringly uniformed patter about the wine which, of course was all about up sell. The food? It was OK bit nothing like real Spanish tapas and 3 times the price. To those who have given this place 5 stars all I can say is you guys need to travel more. Definitely not happy wine (or tapas).

What happened while I was away?!?

By Escalorie2021 |

I always loved this place. Great wine selections and fabulous tapas. Well the tapas are still outstanding however was very disappointed in the wine selection as well as the wait staff. The staff wouldn't allow me to browse the wine but rather kept trying to push various wines based on my price point. I felt very uncomfortable and pressured. We took the waitress's recommendation but the wine was not good. My friend and I couldn't even have a conversation as the waitress kept interrupting is to make us "eat our tapa while it was hot"- not once but several times. It was not pleasant and I'm very disappointed. Won't go back for a while.

Great old time wine shop

By cazu247 |

The lunch special is great. beer and sangria are less than two dollars. The lunch meals are priced right. The selection of wine and is good. The garlic shrimp and the queso manchego and serrano ham tablet are served in big portions. The only draw back can be the parking when they do not have valet parking available.

Very Loud

By ERIC W |

The Sangria, both the Red and the White were amazing. The tapas we ordered were fantastic. The calamari was amazing. Only reason for four stars was the noise. It was by far the loudest restaurant I’ve ever visited in my entire life. It was a Friday night. Food and service were very good

Amazing and Authentic!

By Anthony C |

From the INCREDIBLE wine selection, to the staff, walking into this place feels like you're walking into a little place in Madrid. The Tapas are amazing, the lambchops, phenomenal. The owner will offer to serenade you. Simply perfect place for a date or friends night!

Different, Great, Must Try It!

By 2lifeadventure |

This is a combination Wine Store, with stools set around to enjoy Tapas. They have a fantastic Wine selection, and the prices are very reasonable. Go by in an afternoon, sit down, try the different tapas, manchego cheese, Serrano Ham, Boquerones, while you sip some wine. I never leave without buying a few bottles of great whites, and reds. Delightful way to spend an afternoon with friends. Definitely a great place to visit, great experience, and you learn something additional about wines, every time you go... By the way did I mention they treat you like family when you get there?

Can't beat this little place in quality for the price

By Jody J |

We love this little restaurant, it can always be counted on for a quick and good meal at a good price and great wines. They have staff members that are knowledgeable about wine and are more interested in selling you what they know you'll enjoy than selling you the most expensive bottle they can. A rare find.

Great find

Wonderful experience Food wine and service Truly a unique venue. And a must visit. Everything was expertly prepared.!

Best place to enjoy wine

By Martin V |

Wining and Dining

By Larry B |

In the midst of preparing for a wedding, I called some friends and told them I needed a drink. We are usually Monty's or Flanigan's types of people but this time we all wanted give a new place a try. I work in coconut and I've always driving around "Happy Wine." Its such an unassuming place but what caught my attention of the all times I've driving past by it was that it was always full of cars outside. So, upon us deciding of where to go and socialize I immediately suggested HAPPY WINE and it was the BEST decision ever. Upon us walking in we were suprised of how full of people it was. Everyone having fun socializing and either drinking beer, champagne, or wine. I WAS in heaven. We were immediately greeted by this old man. Super nice. I later learned, through our waiter, that his name is Joe. Joe asked me how many we were and as is by magic there was an empty table ready for us. Then he points at me and summoned me to his "office." I was like what? But I obliged. His "office" was a wine cellar where he keeps all the wine he is extremely proud of. The best of the best. I told him my friends wanted to start with white wine and then proceed to Rose and ultimately red. For the white wine Joe suggested Sancerre. Chilled to perfection. Afterwards, our water Amaury took over and made us feel right at home. The food: Let me start off by saying that you MUST MUST MUST order the bacon wrapped dates. They are delicious! Try it. Thank me later! We ordered the Albondingas Happy Wine (really good) and Parrillada de Carnes (enough to share between three or four people). The Dessert: You cannot go wrong with Churros! Lol. That's what we had. It comes with chocolate and dulce de leche as the sauces. Feel free to ask for more sauce as needed. WARNING: Every bottle of wine that you purchase has a cork fee of $8.00 included. I personally don't think it's bad at all. All the bottles are reasonably priced. Many at stock price. The personal service you get and the experience more than makes up for it. Also, don't forget the location. Its coconut grove! So for all of you people complaining about the cork fee... It's simple. Go elsewhere! I'm 100% sure that other places charge more for their cork fees. With this being said.... HAPPY WINING AND DINING!

Lots of fun and unique!

By Christine D |

Went there twice while on a 2 week vacation in the grove. We got there somewhat early (6:30-7) and didn't wait to be seated. Tables and stools are bar height. Stools are backless.... We shared 4 different small plates including the outstanding quinoa and perfectly cooked lamb chops. The fritters and short ribs were also amazing. The service both nights was both amazing and really friendly. We enjoyed choosing our own wines from the well-stocked shelves. There was also some live singing (with canned music) both nights and that added to the fun atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit!

best place to drink wine and eat tapas in Miami

By benuflaw99 |

This is a hidden gem, nestled 50 yards west of Flanigan's in Coconut Grove. Incredible selection of wines from all over the world -- from $9 Riesling to $400 Bordeauxs and Riberas. However, it's their food that sets them apart. Best tapas in Miami live music most nighst. Also a great place to people watch! any time of day, this place rocks.

Not Again

By Esther I |

We went in for late lunch, what a disappointment. We found it expensive, no Quality. The place is very rustic, good wine selection. Service was Indifferent, he did not clear the table when he brought us our check, big Mistake, there were 2 tables only. $8.00 for 5 round small . Sangria was very good. This place is not for us. I hear they have a good Happy hour, but I guess I will miss it.

Wonderful food, great vibe

By VeronicaHauad |

A co-worker recommended Happy Wine, and I'm glad she did! Food and drink was wonderful, the staff was great, and the other patrons were fun and friendly. They had a cute little private room near the entrance that would make for a great date night. I hear they have nice live music nights too. We had a wide assortment from the tortilla, albondigas, bacon wrapped dates, a lobster mac and cheese and more - yum!

European wine & dine Cellars in Miami

By Joseph H |

Very cozy environment with a wide selection of wine from around the world. Excellent tapas my favorite the Chorizo al Vino and for dessert Pears w Wine. On a previous visit I had the cold cut meat & cheese excellent.

Fun, food and alcohol

By DrBula |

There are many tapas bars in Miami-this is likely the best value and has the greatest selection of excellent-priced wine. Even retail purchase of wine is a value. Shrimp and garlic are great and the Tuesday night steak margin is fantastic. The vibe is urban and casual, but lots of fun, eating at barrel tables on stools.

Awesome

By Gabymanana |

Fun fun fun. I always heard good things about it but it was even better... we are tapas which we're all pretty great, they had karaoke and a great selection of wines! Not a fancy place, so you can go with jeans and fit right in! I would definitely recommend!

Great Time

By stephenakellogg |

Happy wine is a great place to hang out for a quick drink and a bite before a night out or to hang out and have a few glasses or wine with tapas and relax! Highly recommended. Small and quaint. Choose from a myriad of wines off the shelves and drink them at your table... or barrel!

Fabulous wine selection and price

By wcasteline |

The location is splendid, big old house in the grove, simply decorated and all the walls are full of wooden racks filled with wines of every part of the world. Prices of them are very good and if you buy a bottle and decide to drink it there and have some very good tapas while you at it, you only pay a $2.00 cover charge for each bottle. The tapas selection is pretty good, the tortilla espanola, chistorras in wine, boquerones and the shrimp are some of them, all good. Enjoyed the atmosphere a lot and definetly a place to go back

Incredible Gem!

By HoboDiner |

I often go to Miami for work and usually end up eating at a hotel restaurant or end up in Brickell Village. Luckily, one of my local colleagues convinced me to hop in a car and head to Happy Wine. One of their two locations, the Coconut Grove locale is a cozy wine store stacked floor to ceiling with bottles with small tables tucked all around the stacks. The night we were there, they had live music playing in the back, and the whole place had a festive happy vibe. Ask for table by the select wine room if you want to be away from the noise - it was a great spot for us. We picked a nice bottle of Barolo off the shelf for $40 (which would have run well north of $100 with a traditional restaurant markup), had it opened at the table and ordered from the excellent tapas menu - plates of manchego and chorizo, spanish omelettes, olives... everything was great. I felt like I was let into a local secret and will definitely be back!

Best Fried Oyster I Ever Ate!

By ProdigalIzzy |

The Happy Wine is an adorable wine shoprestaurant that serves delicious Spanish Tapas (though they also offer entrees). We have been several times over the past few weeks because we are mad about their oysters. We have also tried several other tapas and the Chefs flair makes each dish way better than we have had at similar restaurants. Since it is also a wine shop, and you can buy by the glass or they will recommend and open a bottle for your table at a very reasonable price. The service is friendly and attentive without being over-attentive. I think this is a little gem in the Grove and you will agree if you try their fare. Divine!

A special night thanks to their staff

By Olga8272 |

We recently got married in Court and although we did not have an official party or wedding, we got together with 8 of our relatives to commemorate the event. We coordinated a special menu with the manager, who also offered us the open bar option. When we got there, our table was not ready, however, they rapidly got to it and made up for the lost time after the fact. The floor head waiter and our particular waiter were amazing. The food was incredibly good and our wine was always flowing. They accommodated to our needs and the live music was great, the singer even mentioned me and my new husband's name and came to our table to congratulate us. We were made feel special, could not eat all the food that was served to us and OMG they even put a wedding couple in our dessert tart. I could not be more pleased with their service and quality of food. All of us want to go back and they made the night a very special night.Thank you

Couldn't find it

By Chesterdoggerel |

This place was not where the pin is on the Trip Advisor map and there is no website link to check location either. We ended up cruising up and down the road in a taxi to no avail !

Good wine bar

By Janlea |

Walls are covered with about 900 different bottles of wine arranged by country. Order tapas or meals from the menu, walk around the restaurant and pick any wine. You pay for cost of wine and $5 corkage. Very casual, good date atmosphere.

Wine Store or Restaurant?

By Miamismith305 |

It’s hard to define the concept of this place, which offers a great variety of wine, and is also a tapas style restaurant. A very particular detail is that you can walk around the store, choose any bottle of wine (there is a corkage fee) and then enjoy it with the food you ordered. It has a nice Happy Hour menu at reasonable prices. Happy Wine has another location in the famous calle 8 (8th street) of Miami.

An adventure in taste

By Judy D |

What a delight in eating! We tried several tapas, some so unusual. The tastes were excellent. It was easy to overlook the stools instead of chairs and the pricey-ness. We would return in a heartbeat. The entertainment was fun, too.

My go-to in Miami

By Victoria V |

This is hands down one of the friendliest, liveliest, best spots in Miami on either a weeknight or a weekend, and I'd say one of Miami's best kept secrets. The food is spot on (I LOVEEEE the chuleton special on Tuesday nights) and the wine selection is out of this world. The service is always great, the live music is so much fun, and it's just so inviting. I picked up a few bottles last week to go to a party and the new director, Jesús, was extremely knowledgeable about so many regions and helped me pick some great bottles. I'm a regular here and wouldn't have it any other way.

The best octopus ever! Polvo incrível!

By Lijoca |

Nice a do cozy place with many wine options, happy staff and the most amazing food in city! Whatever you order you are going to be glad to be here, from salad to the choice of the choice of the day. I came here twice in 10 days in Miami. A must go!

Great TAPaS!!

By oriam o |

I have known this place sine they started (felipe) in 2001 on calle ocho and 47 ave behind sedanos Now they have 3 locations , but the Grove has become my favorite !!! you can find me here every friday Night for my tapas and wine!! the prices on Vino are the best in town!! here always!! the lamb chops incredible , garbanzos fritos GREAT!!

Dissapointing

By j k |

With inattentive service, an excuse-manufacturing waiter, and manager who never returned with a promised answer to a question, the visit could only be disappointing. The table arriving after us was almost done before we were served our order which was missing one of the four items. Although we reminded the waiter then and later, the last item finally came as we would have been done - with an apology blaming the kitchen and offering a free coffee - hardly the correct compensation. And the food was totally average; garlic shrimp a bit off, calamari like rubber bands, risotto merely a glump in a side dish. Meatballs OK, but in no way noteworthy. Tapas are not cheap, making for poor value. For a store with a thousand bottles of inexpensive and mostly unknown wines, only four modest choices were available by glass - who would have guessed a wine and tapas shop with nearly no glass wine to go with the tapas. Of course you could buy a bottle if you wanted to pay an extra 8 dollar corkage fee for the privilege. Don't think so.

Great ambiance, great staff, so-so food.

By Alfred R |

I could have given Happy Wine a higher rating, but the Tapas were not god tasting Spanish Tapas. Their staff is friendly and go out of their way to make sure that you are taken care of and having a good time., but they need to find a real Spanish cook that knows the flavors of Spain.

Consistently good food and wine

By Jody J |

Another lovely evening at Happy wine our favorite locals restaurant, JC and Joanna have managed to weather the difficultlies most restaurants have of consistently delivering great food, service and of course the wines. Bravo 👏

Best value wine bar fun tapas music place in miami

By Nacasy |

Great wine selection ($10 to $ 80 and more) at very reasonable wine store prices (plus $8 corkage) make this the best value wine list and selection in miami. Small and cozy with a wine bar and tables, they serve very well made and delicious tapas to go with your wine selection. Happy hour with music is the most fun happening place in the area. Very bery recommended if you like to drink good wine eat great tapas and have a fun time at cheap reasonable prices. Service is always friendly and attentive. It gets very busy arrive early get a good table and Enjoy!!! Go for the wine, stay for the food and you will go back for the fun and value

Go for the wine!

By ladyrbeatty |

What an amazing selection of wine! I particularly enjoyed the sangria. The food is good. We enjoyed several small plates and each had good flavor.

Good tapas- Bad for cork fee.

By armando2163 |

The food and tapas are very well presented and cooked. A wide selection of wines but the fees they charge you for -cork Fee- between 6 to 8 dollars per bottle is unacceptable. Service is fast and courteous, employees are very well trained.

WORST PLACE TO DINE

By chirico65 |

WORST place to dine. Is overprice for a cheap place like that. Bad wine. Owner profile their customers. Also they overcharge you for the wine. Is a DUMP No parking. Bad service.

Better than expected

By edwin r |

I came to this place after a recommendation from friends and it turned out pretty good. The tapas were excellent. The sevice was impecable. We only had one particular wine (Pinot Grigio) and it was fairly. I will surely return in my next visit to Miami.

Great food, best wine prices in Miami!

By GLMARTIN_PR |

Went for an early dinner on a Thursday. Place was packed with people enjoying the happy hour. Tables are very small with high chairs. Excellent wine selection with the best prices I have seen in Miami. Ordered the grilled octopus and the special Mahi Mahi. Both dishes were spectacular. Still hungry, we went for the mussels which were below average at best. Great friendly service by MaitreD Joe who was very attentive and was always checking that everything was ok. I will definitively go back very soon. Already in my top 10 list of places in Miami.

Delicious food in a cool atmosphere

By amyandmatt11 |

So happy we stumbled upon this place. Amazing food (get the corn on the cob if they have it), excellent service, free sparkling wine and a great selection of wine that is reasonably priced. Loved the atmosphere and decor made of wine crates. Great spot for wine lovers and people who love great tapas.

Cute place in the middle of Miami

By Elizabeth B |

Let me start off by saying this is not your typical wine bar! This place is chaos on busy nights but it's so great. Yummy tapas and great bottles. Sometimes there is live music and sometimes there are domino games. Love coming here and having a glass of wine and tapas! It's also kind of hard to find because the front door is in the parking lot. You need to check it out!

Great Wine, Great Price

By AmigoProfesional |

Fun, Fun, Fun.... Great people, excellent wine, amazing food... Don't be fooled by the location and the back entry. This place is amazing. Great wine and food at low price. Every time I visit Miami I stop here. Enjoy

Gem of a locals restaurant

By Jody J |

Tonight my husband and I walked over to our favorite local restaurant where Chef Amire outdid himself once again. What I love about this place is that the food = the chef is consistently excellent. The menu items are count on able good and the specials where his creative genius shows are exceptional. JC and Joanna have created the ideal locals restaurant oh and by the way the wait staff rocks and the wine....

Best in Miami

By Kēvens |

For those of us who drink wine daily or weekly, we know the importance of finding a great deal on a proper bottle. If your budget is 10 dollars or 1000 dollars, JC the owner or Joe will make sure you walk out with a smile on your face. Beware, you might find yourself going back the very next day like I have done countless times over these past few years.

Fun place, great wine!

By Juan C |

If you like great wine, good food and excellent atmosphere, this is the place to be. Love their tapas, largest selection of wine at great prices anywhere in Miami, and live music on weekends. We usually go at least 2-3 times per month. A must stop in Miami.

Excellent

By Tico duncan |

The service was great, and the tapas very tasty, especially the octopus. The live music was great. The wine selection very impressive.

greatest little gem!

By tourist1965 |

don't let the name put you off - you will leave happy!!!!! the wine is the decoration, you pick a bottle and if you are game to try something new, they will recommend something for you. a corkage fee applies, but it still beats any wine purchase in a restaurant. and the food.......sooooo good. order family style like everyone does in Miami and you will positively be a happy person when you leave!

A little bit of Europe in Miami

By JessicaAbuDhabi |

My husband and I went to Happy Wine on a Saturday night around 8:00 pm. The establishment reminded us of the wine bars we have frequented in Europe. There is an abundance of wine to choose from and knowledgable staff to assist. Service was very good. Only once did I have to refill my own wine glass. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, but lively as well. The food was delicious! We ordered the muscles. The sauce was so good, and the dish came with plenty of mussels for two. We also ordered the cheese and prosciutto platter with olives. The platter came with a homemade strawberry jam which the restaurant purchases at the Coconut Grove Farmer's Market. The jam is amazing! There was a live singer as well. Our visit was for a special occasion so we did not mind the prices. Looking forward to trying out their happy hour!

Wonderful atmosphere and great food

By Michael L |

I've been a Coconut Grove resident for many years and the location of Happy Wine has always been cursed. Every restaurant that has been in that space has failed but Happy Wine (yes, it's a regrettable name) deserves to succeed where others have not. The seating on simple stools is amongst thousands of bottles of wine. One chooses from this amazing selection and pays a $5 corkage fee. The food, inspired by Spanish tapas, is first rate. In fact, their truffle french fries are the best I've ever had. Everything on the menu is terrific. The lighting and ambience make one feel as you're dining in a wine cellar. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Horrible Service

By Patricia A |

This place deserves more than just 3 stars but the service was not up to par. The moment we walked in we felt like we bothered the waitress. The place was pretty empty and it was just us 3/4 ladies enjoying a night out. We loved the fact the gentleman came and sang to us. The food was great and the wine for me was perfect. The waitress was rude, hard to get her attention, seemed like she had an attitude and was not in the mood to serve. It was to the point where i just wanted to speak to a manager on duty and express how i really wanted to like the establishment but the waitress was just not providing us with the a great experience. Seems like there is rarely a manager on duty so i was given a card with an email to the manager along with the name of our waitress. I wrote the email while still in the restaurant and I’m still pending a reply since Nov 17th. Great food, and drinks, chill environment, BUT SERVICE SUCKSSSS!!!

HORRIBLE food and sangria

By oriam o |

So many years i have been visiting this place , and a few times i visited another local wine place and tapas!! so i decided to go back this past weekend 4/2015 TO FIND THE PLACE NOT THE SAME!! now the kitchen runners have become the waiters and waitress , when we asked about the old crew , they said they have left or fired!! the ham croquetas WHERE HORRIBLE all BREAD!! the SANGRIA very acid tasting, must be made from left over opned bottles!! I am deeply sadden to see this place go DOWN like this the quality is not the same!!! an amazing selection of wine , but not the place for hanging out for a nice tapas!! so they say the chef also left!! WHAT A SHAME!!

Excellent Visit

By ECU1987 |

Very unique experience. Excellent wine and food. The atmosphere is second to none. Very friendly staff as well. Had a nice singer in on a Tuesday night singing Frank Sinatra tunes. Well worth the visit if you are in the Miami area.

Authentic Spanish Wine/Tapa

By Brenda A |

What a wonderful rustic and authentic place to be have tapas and HUGE selection of wine. Wait staff was wonderful and paid close attention to keeping our glasses full. The prices are VERY reasonable (Ken Wright Pinot $40...normally $60+ ) The food was fantastic - cant go wrong with any tapas plate you choose. We visited on a Saturday evening and it was packed!

Fun wine store with great food and casual atmosphere

By Rick H |

Imagine a wine store with an eclectic but excellent selection of wine from the U.S., Latin America, Spain and France. And a great and reasonably priced menu with everything from shrimp and mussels to tacos and risotto. Oh, and a large screen TV in case there's a big game on. If you buy a bottle of wine and want it with dinner, you pay only an $8 corkage. That's Happy Wine in the Grove, a neighborhood spot with a great vibe.

A must, best wine selection and price, excellent food service and life music

By kcanavan2010 |

We have been in Happy wine at least 6 times in the past two months. the service is outstanding, very friendly and personalized, bought my mother and daughter are made to "feel like home" and get a comfortable tall chair. the paninis for lunch or dinner feel like in italy, try the caprese one . also the daily specials are phenomenal, we had a fantastic Grilled octopus once, various risottos and churrasco. If you just want tapas the variety is vast, from croquetas to boquerones to tortillas, passing by quinoa and other salads. the wine variety is enormous, its perfecto try new wines, you choose the one you like at retail, then just pay 5 for corkage

Sunday Lunch

By nibaldom2015 |

I have been here on several occasions, that said it’s been awhile since returning. As soon as I arrived I did notice they had added more tables, but unfortunately reduced the amount of wine shelf. One of the reasons I enjoyed coming here is due to their wine selection and the ability to enjoy it there with lunch or dinner. Today I search for a wine to have with lunch, and the selection was very average at best. The selection of Pinots and Cabs were very limited. The food was also pretty average, even the the huevos rotor(eggs, chips and Serrano ham) was pretty good. The service was average, and the waiter seemed to be pretty clueless about wine. Overall, extremely disappointed and will find it very hard to return. Happy Dining

Happy Wine Coconut Grove

By SamM0504 |

Happy Wine in Coconut Grove, FL is a great place to have tapas and wine. Their extensive wine selection is great and the atmosphere is very good. I was there this past Friday and it was crowded. The owner and the entire staff are very friendly. If don't have a clue about wines, the owner will be there to help choose and pair it with your meal. Great Place!!!!!

My wine place

By Magda Z |

This is a small place surrounding by bottles of wine, you can find a variaty of wines at a very good price, great tapas, the atmosphere is ok.

Great food and wine selection

By alexandra t |

Food is amazing. Wonderful ambiance, especially for a date night. You save a lot of money on a bottle of wine which is a perk. Lots of fun too.

The Best Sangria

By RickKristen |

I lost count, but I guess we've been to Happy Wine 7 or 8 times over the past 3 years since I have regularly been coming to Miami for business. Always for Happy Hour, always to have the Red Sangria. it is simply the best we've ever had and combined this time with Albondigas and Chorizo appetizers, we had a lovely time. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive and we just love this place. BTW, you can also buy very high quality wines from around the globe. Don't miss it when you are in the Grove!!

What a gem !!!!

By LigiaEspi |

Super cozy and romantic. Hidden gem in the heart of Miami. Amazing tapas and excellent variety of wines to pick. Life music excellent complement.

Really great food and wine

By Heidi B |

Tapas is the specialty here. Portions area large enough for two to share. The food is simply wonderful and creative . Sadly, there is a $15 cork fee for sine bought in the restaurant/store. But, the wine selection is huge and the staff is well versed in the wine and food selections.

Wine Lovers Heaven on Earth

By Yeyo787 |

This is what a wine and "tapas" place should be. From the ambiance to the wine selection to the excellent service to the yummy food. If you're a knowledgeable wine lover like myself you will have a field day choosing your wines. Bacon wrapped dates, stuffed meatballs and chorizo al vino are a must. Go hungry, sip some wine, have a great time.

Bad place

By chirico65 |

Worst place to dine. Overprice bad service. They don't respect your reservation. Charge to much for tips

Great place to spend an evening

By christinaa460 |

This small wine and tapas restaurant is great place to enjoy wonderful wine at wholesale costs. They have a huge selection of wine by the bottle at great prices. The tapas menu is tasty as well. We split a cheese platter and a meat platter between four of use and had more than enough. We also sampled the sangria, which was exceptional.

Tapas and wine

By wcasteline |

A wine lovers paradise, Happy wines has a selection of around 1000 labels to choose from, at every price. Love the atmosphere and the concept, where you can either buy the wine to take home or to drink it there, at market price plus an $8.00 fee and order from the diverse tapa menu. The tortilla espanola and the manchego and cantimpalo are great starters. Followed by a assiette sampler or a chartutirie plate will make a great combination. You can add to that the chorizo al vino or the chistorras. Don't forget dessert. My favorite the torta Santiago. You can have a great time and enjoy a great meal here at Happy Wine

Happy Time Happy Wine

By Will J |

This is a casual interesting place. Wine selection is extensive and wine prices are very good by the bottle. Corkage fee seems high at $8. The appetizers are offering look delicious and are reasonably priced. We had two different appetizers, both excellent, and it was really almost enough to qualify as our dinner that night. The wait staff super friendly, very efficient. We really like this place

Nice & inviting!

By Pineapples-a-Plenty |

Happy Wine makes for a very nice experience. After reading the reviews, we set off to try for ourselves this interesting restaurant. The first impression was positive. A friendly greeting upon entering set a very positive tone. Their setting is a bit unique. Rows of wines from various regions are organized in a fashion that make for pleasant table configurations. You simply select from one of the huge number of selections, or ask for a little direction, and away you go. The menu is nice. Lobster, meatballs, salads ... all prepared perfectly, and all provided us with a welcomed presentation & taste. Their prices also provide value. The one item that was so-so was the service. Nice, friendly, but not exactly crisp. There were gaps in the availability of our server, who also provided excellent insight into a few wine selections, so overall, we were pleased, thanks to his wine knowledge. Parking is a bit painful ($7 valet), but it is Coconut Grove. This was a very nice evening, and we will be back! TIP: Go for happy hour! The Veuve Cliquot is available by the glass at $5.00!!

exciting to the palate, outstanding for the wines, fun to be there!

being a local, and enjoying few nights a week out,,,we all get "accustomed" to the same...but Happy WIne Grove is NEVER the same, the crowd, entertainment and wine choices are constantly evolving...the crowd is young-mature, food is tapa-PLUS, and wine selection is World Class...worth your time and money!

Best Value, Fun times in a hidden gem

By Nacasy |

Love this great wine store/wine bar gastro pub! Great wine selection at very good store prices and you can drink at the tables for a small corkage fee ($8 for any wine no matter the price). The service is very friendly and helpful, the mostly Mediterranean oriented food is excellent (tapas style) is always fresh and delicious. Friday happy hour lots of fun with live music everyone having a great time. Best value in Miami

Excellent place to go to, excellent service, food, atmosphere and Tapas will return on my next visit to Miami area

Love this place!

By NewretireeKansas |

Always want to come her when I am in Miami. Good food, well served and well attended, I love that you can try so many items in one setting, and the wine is very reasonable and they have a hug election. They also offer live music. The kind that won't make you want to leave.

Food tasty, service ok, empty place

By caribtraveler2010 |

Had dinner on a weeknight at 6pm and the place was empty. Tried a few apps. They were tasty but pretty small. Luckily part of $5 happy hour pricing so didn't feel ripped off. Service was fine and the place was quiet as we were only ones there. Would have ordered more but the server disappeared for too long. Overall, ok place but we preferred other options we tried that were nearby.

Great wine at great prices

I love this place! they have a large selection of wines at unbeatable prices for Miami standards. The place is cozy, love the ambiance, and the service is great.

What a Great Little Find!

By slimK |

From the outside, you wouldn't think much of this place except to buy a bottle of wine. Once inside, you'll be happy to see you can sit down have some delicious bar treats and have a glass or two of wine. The service is very helpful and friendly. When I'm by myself in the Grove, I always make it a point to stop here and have a snack and a glass of wine before I make a purchase.

Not what it used to be, expensive and not enjoyable. Go somewhere else .

updated menu, food below expectations (made us sick) …. $200 + bill for two , sad to say.. no longer a favorite, stay away.

Happy Wine is a happy place

Very interesting wine selection, tapas an happy hour. There was a live singer when we ate dinner there as well which was amazing! It did get loud and we had one snafu with our order that the server generously took off the bill which we appreciated. The octopus is superb!

Awesome tapas & sangria!

By Sarah Sheridan |

This little restaurant is a bit off the beaten track in Coconut Grove, but it's well worth the walk! It's a cozy place with a huge variety of wines. The sangria is made there and delicious! I shared a few plates with friends, and everything we tried was fantastic! It's definitely more of a tapas place than a place for entrees, so plan on ordering a few things.Go before 6 to take advantage of the Happy Hour deal!

Fine wine and service

This little wine bar is a true gem. Stumbled on this spot when out for a walk and so glad we did. The food, service, wine....all wonderful and in a kitschy, comfortable, relaxed atmosphere with knowledgeable staff....and they are all proud to work there....you can just tell. It was like visiting wine bars in Europe....and wonderful wines to purchase as well. Great for an afternoon. With friends, a romantic evening date, a group celebration. And the prices were remarkably reasonable.

A Trip to Spain While in Miami

By JDSoui |

Had a fabulous meal and dining experience. The staff was friendly and food portions were substantial and well seasoned/prepared. There is a quaint draw with the limited number of tables (roughly 12-15) and the wine along the walls. Consequently the setting feels cozy. The croquetas, queso manchego and pan tomate, patatas bravas, paella and Afogato for dessert were delicious. Overall a great dining experience.

Great place to hang out with friends

Good wine and spanish Tapas with terrific non pretentious service. Big thumbs up for the paella and seafood plates. The staff is charming and lead us in the right direction from the Tapas to picking the right wine. I had several questions about the wine which were all answered by the owner himself. Definitely recommended.

Wine heaven

I have been going to the original Happy Wine in Miami since 2008 and i finally decided to experience their new location in Coconut Grove. They kept the same ambiance, perfect for wine lover, as the original one and add a more upscale feeling (in comparison to the original one) with formal table seating. It was a wonderful experience and i can't wait to go back to either one. I highly recommend Happy Wine for all wine lover looking for a great wine place with delicious tapas.

Awesome experience!

This place is awesome. It's the gem of south Florida. We went there and had great wine and food. The entire place is filled with thousands of bottles of wine and champagne. The staff are extremely friendly. The tables are made of wine barrels. It's just a fun unique place to have a bite and drinks with friend. There is parking in the back.

Best Friday lunch in Miami!

By benuflaw99 |

Not only can you drink Amazon wines at warehouse prices, their Friday paella is out of this world. Their tapas are also killer. But it's all about the wine: $12 for Protos; $30 for Honig; $10 for pink French bubbly. This place is the shizzle!!!

Dinner

Wines have gone up in price at least by $ 20 an on top of that they are charging a cork fee of $ 8. Food has surge in price . The noise level is so loud that makes you want to leave the place. The food was ok. The waiter delivering the food seem to be confused consistently, as he tried to deliver foods that I didn’t ordered. Forgot they do have Valet parking for $ 7. I would rather go to the one on SW 8 St & 57 Ave where the same Wine is $ $20 less. Very limited Tapas but at least I can here the other persons converse. Live singer does very well.

Excellent spot! Best wine in prices in Miami

We LOVE happy wine! The prices are Amazing the have great Happy hours and food is good!! A must for anyone that lives in coconut grove

Best wines, Best prices, great service.

By JCapa |

JC the owner treats everyone like a friend. He has an awesome variety of wines from around the world at prices that can't be beat. He is cheaper than Total Wines on every bottle I've ordered. Joe his Sommelier has fantastic recommendations and knows his wines. The tapas are delicious. I highly recommend their Bouquerones or pickled anchovies. You will be surprised as I was, and I wasn't a fan of anchovies at all. All their tapas are great. Don't miss their Paellas on Friday nights. But Get there early or you will miss out. They're made to order and make about 100 portions then they are done. When in Miami Happy Wine is a must!

Quite a nice experience

By NewretireeKansas |

This is a cozy place where the food and wine offerings are both very good and the prices are reasonable. We also had good service. I look forward to going back.

Good Wine

Not the first time that I been at the very same location , yesterday I had a different experience ... Good Wine , but the tapas are Average and a BIT overpriced .
