Phenomenal breakfast!

By JAsquaredtravels |

I’ve been here a few times for breakfast and love it! Went once for dinner and thought the prices were a little high. The service is truly top notch and the food is great! LOVE the restaurant’s decoration! Great addition to alki!

Outstanding food and cocktails

By Andrew W |

I travel a lot and this is one of the best meals with drinks I have had in along time . The craft cocktails by Bar manager Shane are outstanding . They are novel intricate inventive with a depth of flavor and a kick to boot . The meals are the same . I recommend the half chicken ( enough for two ) and the merguise lamb sausage . Top of the list is the escarole and tuna salad which is fabulous.

Very Disappointing

Made a reservation for 9am Sunday Brunch, since we hadn’t been to Harry’s since before the pandemic. We were the 1st patrons to arrive and had our Covid-19 Vaccination Cards in hand, per the State Mandate. There was no restaurant signage about the Mandate and the hostess told us she thought our server would be checking our cards. When the server came to our table, she NEVER mentioned our Covid-19 Vaccination Cards. NO ONE from the restaurant EVER ASKED TO SEE THEM. Doesn’t Washington State Mandate require all patrons to PROVE Covid-19 vaccination for restaurant admittance? NOT AT HARRY’S BEACH HOUSE ON ALKI !!! When seated we felt really cold, like it was the same temperature inside as out. Then we saw the door to the patio seating was wide open, so we were right. It was 39 degrees on this Halloween morning, so we asked our server if she could please close the patio door. Her response was FAR from positive, but the door was eventually almost closed. Next my husband ordered regular coffee and I ordered Decaf. Our server then proceeded to tell me “They don’t serve Decaf” in such a CONDESCENDING TONE, we felt it best to go elsewhere. Strike 3… Neither of us have EVER been served by such a SNOBBISH, ENTITLED wait person in our lives. Maybe she was unhappy she had to serve our table, instead of being able to continue the review of the Halloween Costumes worn by the staff. Here’s to that young lady finding a career that fits her skill set. Here’s to Harry’s not only following the STATE MANDATE ON CONFIRMING COVID-19 VACCINATION CARDS, but finding front of house staff that has a clue about BASIC, Customer Service…

Great dinner

By marield1990 |

We were visiting some friends in west Seattle and this is one of their favorite places. It was packed on a Friday night and we got seated in the tent outside. We got the bread and oysters to start. Delicious. I got the chicken with potatoes which was nice and comforting on a chilly night. We also got the fries and pasta. Solid dinner. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating of all the dietary restrictions.

Nice New Restaurant on Alki Beach

By Alec D |

Got a recommendation from a friend to try Harry's Beach House located on Alki Beach. It's in the building which used to house my favorite Tully's. It's located right across the street from Alki Beach. They have a Happy Hour menu. The food and service were both very good. I will go back.

Adorable and charming restaurant with great food, drinks and views!

By Tammie843 |

Stopped in for a quick drink and app. First off, the people there were super friendly, we loved Izzy, the hostess. Our bartender was excellent too. The place is so charming. beautifully decorated with water views. Our calamari was delicious! Definitely would recommend coming here.

Delicious lunch

Went back to Harry’s for a second visit. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Great (but a little loud) ambience. Located right across the street from Alki Beach.

Great food, really bad and outdated music

By Mark M |

We have been eating at Harry’s for several years and a great deal of takeout during Covid, but I must say even though we appreciate the food and service the music has to go. Sounds like techno circus music pounding in my ears, could not eat fast enough to get out. Sorry but the music needs to be just a finch more relaxing to digest my food.

A much needed addition to Alki!

By Lacey H |

Can't say enough about this spot. Not only is the location superb, servers are efficient and friendly, interior is so thoughtfully decorated (including restrooms) and the food/beverage menu is outstanding. I also loved the dishes / plates / cups used - the blue glasses are fun and have a very sea-faring vibe and the other dishes feel antique/unique and like you're eating in someones home. A random bonus is that they stock and will sell you bottles from their refrigerator in the back - my husband and I were doing a dry month so opted for a bottle of their sparkling water and I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. I'd never heard of it before but will plan on getting some with every meal I get here in the future! We got seats by the window in the back which is a sneaky nice view of the statue of liberty statue (and sunset, depending on time you're there!) and our food was great. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and my husband got the croque madame. Both were excellent and made to order. Only preference would be that the ham on the croque madame not be QUITE so thick (we're talking like, half an inch here) but if you are super into ham you would love it. I can't wait to come back during nicer weather and try out more of the menu.

Great spot

We stopped in mid afternoon on a Sat - they were between brunch and dinner with a limited menu - which was fine and super nice they were very upfront about it. Such a lovely atmosphere - loved the music Food was great - we’ll be back!

Good location with Alki Beach views, but wouldn't go for breakfast again.

By Sharlene C |

This is a rating on the breakfast food. For the taste and price, I wouldn't go again for breakfast. The two cornmeal blueberry pancakes were lukewarm and the butter had soaked into the center of one. They were heavy and I barely finished one. Not worth $16. Side of eggs were nondescript with light colored yolk. I tasted my daughter's sausage gravy and didn't like it, too thin and too smoky. She didn't finish it. Our server, male with stand up crewcut, was very good, warm greeting and attentive. I didn't tell him my opinion as I was a guest at a birthday celebration.

Nice place. Horrible burger/fries

By Derek W |

Nice spot. Nice decor. BUT; the burger was worse than McDonalds. It started out looking good with a soft bun and good looking ingredients. But after 2-3 bites, the beef patty was not seasoned at all. It was like eating straight ground beef. No salt. No pepper. No taste. The melted American cheddar was a cheap add on considering the price of the burger. The fries were over seasoned with some spices. Quite heaty and spicy. When I was expecting some nice regular fries, I was only able to eat a handful because I was sweating from the cayenne seasoning. Other dishes looked tastier. But the burger was just horrible. Do not order it

Beach view

By keen72762 |

We came for a casual lunch. Very nice location with a water view. The decor in the restaurant is as if you are going to your beach cottage. They have a covered patio. The food was well made and flavourful.

Great food, horrible crowd

By Helmut |

I was really looking forward to brunch and the food did not disappoint. The fish and chips are for sure the best ones I have ever had. Crispy on the outside juicy on the inside on some crispy fries with a jalapeño coleslaw sans mayo. The portion was copious and as I write this 5h later I am still full. The key lime tart was delicious with a nice crust embedded on a toasted marshmallow and coconut cream on top. So why not 5/5? Because the crowd on the table next to us was so obnoxiously loud that it was impossible carrying a conversation. I felt like int he Big Lebowski scene where Sandro calls Maude about the Biennale and they keep laughing until the Dude ask what the **** is wrong with that guy giggling (Knox Harrington). I wish the staff would have stepped in, because we honestly had more than enough and it totally made the brunch unbearable. Avoid the patio during the month of June...

Delicious

By Helmut |

Every dish I sampled was delicious and the salmon sandwich was to die for. Perfectly seasoned (maybe a little overcooked). The donut holes were quite good, too. So were the drinks. Service was attentive and the space just perfectly located. Definitely work a regular visit when in the area.

Delicious food with a water front view

By Sandra K |

This darling location has quickly become a favorite with my friends and me. The delicious food, charming and comfortable design as well as the fantastic beach view make this a great place for any get together! Highly recommend!!

Way overpriced.

By tsholty |

Food was ok but was pretty expensive. When $42 on one hamburger with not even cheese on it, French fries and one grilled cheese. That price didn’t even include drinks. She asked about getting a “Diet Coke” I was told, “we don’t sell anything diet here” on a mot so nice tone. It’s a cute place but not going back.

A Wonderful Lunch at the Beach

By MsLeynaB |

We picked Harry’s by chance on an outing to Alki Beach, and ended up having a fantastic lunch. The service was excellent and the food was truly outstanding. To start, the house gun and tonic is one of the best this gin fan has ever had, made with cardamom bitters, cucumber and grapefruit. We shared a charcuterie plate that was amazing - three different cheeses, pork & chicken pâté with pistachios, fresh figs and cherries, and stone fruit preserves. I had a salad with greens that tasted like they were picked that day, and my husband had a grilled halibut sandwich that he gobbled down so quickly I almost didn’t get a bite. This place is a gem!

Best new Alki restaurant

By The Walkers |

We’ve been here for brunch 3 times and it never disappoints. Harry’s is a great spot and we will be continuing to dine here most weekends. Fortunately, it’s walking distance for us. It gets pretty busy around 11 so get there when they open at 10 or plan to wait for a little bit. A month ago I was able to put my name on the list from home, but they don’t have that feature anymore. This last time we arrived around 11 and the wait was only 20ish minutes. The food is outstanding. It’s not the best place to be frugal but definitely worth it. At this point we’ve tried about 1/3 of the brunch menu and I would order everything again. The hash was a little salty for my taste, but that could have been a fluke. Hope this place sticks around for a looong time. The staff is super friendly and the owner is a delight! Also looking forward to trying lunch and dinner at some point.

Everything done at its best! With a view to boot.

Harry’s Beach House is a little place opposite the Alki Beach Park, the ocean beach for Seattle with views of the Olympic peaks and, on a clear day, Mt. Baker. Everything we had here was superb. For appetizers we sampled the ceviche anyone had ever had. It had a wonderful variety of seafood including octopus. We also had some French fries sprinkled with pecorino and rosemary. For an entree I had a sweet corn risotto with wild mushrooms and goat cheese that managed the trick of having the correct rather soupy texture. It was perfect. My companions had an excellent halibut sandwich, but I think I won the prize. For dessert there was a seasonal fruit galette (peach). For a drink, I had a passion fruit-lime spritzer. We left with an inner smile. The food was made with some love and some joy. We’ll be back!!

Great way to experience Alki at night.

By Robin E |

The food alone would bring you back, but the attentive waiter and the great vibe invite you to linger over the meal and watch the people of Alki walk by. Great location, fresh fish and 601 sauce! Its a secret sauce that makes everything it touches better!

A gem on the beach!

By Gail A |

Went on a cocktails/dinner date, just me and my St. Bernard, we could not have been better treated, I had the best service — from the hostess/cooks to the server., the most perfect cocktail and a Caesar salad with salmon I wanted to last forever! I don’t get out much, it is a bit expensive, where ever you go, so to have it be a delight l, really excellent? and joyful… from the food, to the light, the service, the music, and everyone around being kind.. highest recommendation to Harry’s and it’s whole staff. Thank you!

Dinner 4 Sure!

By Thomas B |

I've been here for dinner and now brunch. Dinner is a 5-star. Brunch is a 3-star. Brunch isn't clever and things you could easily make at home. Dinner, however was amazing, the duck and the cioppino were made to perfection!

Lovely interior, genuine service

By Amanda |

Situated across from the beach, the interior feels old/classic, yet clean/refined. Great natural light, beautiful little touches everywhere. The food was good. The SERVICE was outstanding. Genuine, warm, invested.

Brunch at Harry’s

By Alexa |

Went for Saturday brunch with a friend. Coffee was hot, food was tasty, and the cocktails were great. The atmosphere is busy and the tables are very close together making it a little noisy, but it’s thoughtfully done and an enjoyable place to hang out for a meal. Waterfront views.

Worth a stop.

By Diane S |

Fun spot right on water…great view. Beautiful day enjoyed sitting outside. Service was great. Rosie was our server…lucky us. Only there for drinks and charcuterie board. Perfect for happy hour and drinks. Nothing fancy…make sure you check it all. Glad we stumbled on Harry’s

Excellent- Busy for a reason

By Kespecial7 |

We were glad to have a 7:00 reservation as Harry's was packed with a lenghty waiting list on a weeknight Food and service was both excellent- interesting and effective combinations of flavors nicely presented

A dog-friendly place with great service, location, and food

By ArmenInSeattle |

We had lunch at Harry's on a sunny Friday. The food is delicious - fresh and flavorful. But what really stands out is the service. I emailed ahead of time to make sure our dog would be welcome at one of the outside tables, and they let us know right away and booked a reservation on the covered patio for us. We were pleasantly surprised that the covered patio is almost like an indoor room with one side open to the air, so we didn't feel left out. We had a great time looking out at the water, and our dog enjoyed all the people-watching and getting some love from our server. Overall a very nice lunch, and highly recommended if you're in West Seattle.

What a nice surprise! Visiting here for a few days with our son and family. They took us here for brunch. Had to wait 20 minutes

By RonKathy_2011 |

What a nice surprise! Visiting Seattle and came here for brunch. Right on the beach . Could not have had a better experience!

Nice location and staff

By Sandy N |

Our waitress was very helpful, professional and friendly. I ordered the chicken BLT and it was very good (at $24). My other friends enjoyed their lunch as well. My French fries were on the warm side versus hot, but I appreciated the inclusion of both tartar sauce and catsup. The other thing I appreciated was that they put a piece of tape on my left-over box to keep it closed, a small thing but helpful in keeping things fresh. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is that the restroom looked like it could use an upgrade.

Harry's beach house on Alki in West Seattle - meh..

By SeattleSueandSteve |

We love exploring new restaurants and were excited to try Harry's Beach house in West Seattle. I looked online for quite a while for a phone number, but couldn't find one. The owner proudly told me they don't have a phone number, and they can't afford a website. Unable to make a reservation, as a retired couple, we agreed to go early at 5:45 and secure a table before our working friends arrived at 6. The restaurant was 75% empty, but they wouldn't seat us, until our entire party had arrived. I texted my friends and explained the situation, and they suggested we go somewhere else. I assured them that I thought we could get a table, and then was chewing my fingernails until they arrive. I was tense and irritated and not in the greatest mood. However, the waitstaff was amazing, I relaxed and we had their stupendous french fries as an appetizer. OMG. So good. Then I ordered the Seafood cassoulet. The black cod and other fish were delightful, but the calamari filet was BOILED in the broth. It was curled, and tough and flavorless. WTF? Couldn't they have pounded it, or cut it into a pine cone texture, and grilled it and added it at the last second? The broth was great, but because of the mistreatment of the calamari, I rate this meal as a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. My husband felt his lamb riblets deserved a 5. Our friends like their meal. Bottom line, I will not come again if I can avoid it. Our meal was $124 per couple (with alcohol) and was very disappointing, although we had fun with our friends.
