Fun area with lots of selection

By Kaela |

This is a fun little food cart pod area with great selection. They had nearly every type of food you could want, with lots of options for dietary restrictions such as GF and vegan options. We tried food from the Korean pod and the waffle sandwiches and both were great! Cute and well kept area with ample seating (we visited on a Thursday evening). Dogs allowed was a great bonus!

Eat What YOU Want

Our first time at Food Cart pod! Just a fun place to eat what you want washed down with a cold beer! Plenty of seating and easy to find.

Great food carts

This food cart pod is great. It has a great feel and ambiance and the carts have great food. It has coverings and heat lamps, so it's also good for all weather.

Great International Food Choices

We visited with 8 people, so the wide variety of food choices was great. 2 of the Muslim students were so grateful to have Hallel meat at Abu Omar. Our vegetarian diners found their food at Smaaken Waffle. Others chose Thai and TexMex. The food is excellent and quick, which we needed pre-Trailblazer game. The Food Cart is outdoors, so dress accordingly or snag a seat at the gas firepit. I appreciate the food cart updates Travel Portland publishes for current vendors.

If you love street food you GOTTA check out this place

We went here based on a recommendation of a concierge at our hotel - we were looking for a street cart pod that was open on Sundays and a lot of them seem to be closed. So glad that the concierge mentioned this place - it was AWESOME! A few carts were closed but there was plenty to choose from. The atmosphere was great - lots of communal tables (a few around 'firepits), plenty of places to sit , cool wall murals, etc. I was a bit overwhelmed with the choices but ended up getting Avo salad and Hoke Poke from the Rolling Sushi and my husband got a chicken noodle soup from the Burmanese cart - all were delish! I also got a cream tea from the bubba cart - good as well!

Delicious Food UNSANITARY RESTROOMS

Had some delicious tacos from La Naranja Mexican food 🤤 Great atmosphere and all sorts of different types of food but there is no restroom beside port-a-potties and they were full and had no toilet paper and no hand sanitizer!

Fantastic variety of choices

Excellent setup. Huge variety with a lot of carts to choose from. We had fish and chips, and Philly cheesesteak from 2 different vendors. Both excellent choices. A must do when in the area

Great food cart pod with lots of selection and seating

We tried this food cart pod based on a recommendation from our bike tour guide from Around Portland Tours and she did not let us down. We arrived around 2:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. There were lots of people, but lines were manageable, and seating was available in the back, larger seating area. Most of the seating is covered. There are portable toilets and hand sanitizing stations. Not all of the food carts were open, but most were and there was so much variety - BBQ, waffle sandwiches, grilled cheese, sushi, bubble teas, desserts, and lots of ethnic options. Our group of 4 tried items from the Smaaken Waffle Sandwich cart, the Bake on the Run (Guyanese) cart, and the Ala Cart Montage (Mac & Cheese) cart. We were all happy with our selections. This place is dog friendly, but the dogs and leashes caused some additional crowding. With only one exception, all of the dogs (and their owners) were well behaved.

Delicious lunch at Texicano!

Had delicious Carnitas tacos (so many fresh flavors!) and warm and friendly service from the crew. I highly recommend them!

Funky and fun choices

We stopped here after our tour based on the tour guide's recommendation. My friend and I got the falafal wrap- and it was super huge. My husband got the chicken waffle BLT - and it was a bit juicy but really good. I wish there were a few more healthy choices but clearly we found something to eat that was delicious.

Like an Outdoor Mall Food Court...But Better!

By Marcus L |

My family and I went here on the advice of some Portland area folx. When you first enter, it is an unassuming area where you see multiple carts put together, but after a quick walk around the area, we found many tasty offerings. Whether you're a total carnivore, a vegetarian, or a devout vegan, there are food options for you. Our group pulled Teriyaki chicken, waffle fries, a philly cheesesteak, a burger, a boba drink, some fish, and potstickers. All incredibly good and varied in tastes and costs. Outdoor seating can be found in the back of the area and is ample and comfortable. If you're looking for varied food choices and great place to hang out, check in to the Asylum.

A fun food adventure

Great place for an outdoor adventure. Big variety of food carts inside a prison-like enclosure. Pleasant to sit outside, eat and people watch. Relaxed. Offbeat. Perfect for a casual meal with many foid choices.

Great Food Truck Enclave!

We had a nice dinner here before going to the Hopscotch Immersive Art Exhibit, which is nearby and great. A good selection of cuisines and a fun bohemian atmosphere all around.

The best answer for whats for dinner with a group.

The best what's for dinner answer ever!! So many choices, and they have a bar and restrooms. It was clean and such a great experience. Be prepared, your Kids will have options. I had Pad Thi, my daughter had Susshi and BoBa Tea, and my husband had Mexican. It also has a very cool vibe.

Good Variety of Food Choices

By Leonard |

We had dinner here before our Blazer Game, as we needed something quick.  It was a Monday evening and raining (almost snowing) and only 60% of the international carts were open, which I anticipated.   This time I had a Texicano bowl which was good and filling.  In the past the Korean tacos were great.  Others had Thai, Gyros, and Lebanese.  Next time I may try the Waffle Sandwiches.  I enjoy that there is always a variety of nationalities to choose from.  We sat around the central fire table out of the rain.

This was excellent and affordable

The food trucks here are AMAZING! We found this on our last day and it was one of our best meals. Would highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area - well worth it! "Bake on the Run" Guyanese Cuisine was a favorite!
