good pub food

By BanzaiClepton |

Came in lunchtime saturday and no problem vetting a table. Other nearby places had waits and lines. Right on the end of the madness on fremont so a few over-indulged patrons but really good service and decent food. Wife had the nachos and I had the prime dip - both really tasty and filling. Had an Irish coffee after which was good.

Terrible service but filling food

By John_Burdis |

I went here with my autistic son for a filling meal after a long day walking about. We were sat down and then the lack of service began. The way the serviettes and cutlery were placed in front of us but on the other side of the table, thinking that this place was the wrong choice for our meal. The attitude soon showed itself from our waitress, absolutely no interest or engagement with us. The food was plonked in front of us, with not even a short 'enjoy your meal' As I finished my meal, she was quickly back to take my plate away and all the serviette's, including my son's, who was only half way through his meal. Luckily I had some tissues with me. Within moment she was back with the bill, even though he was still eating and we hadn't even ordered desserts! We picked something up after we left! When a more senior person came to take our payment, I explained that I had never had such terrible and lax service and I would've thought that an eating establishment in Vegas would've been on top of their game. I said keep the few dollars that rounded the payment up, as I don't want to interact with anyone any longer here and just want to leave. Obviously if the service was what anyone expected, then a decent tip would have been handed over. Now I know some people can have a bad day but in the service industry, you leave all your troubles at the door when you start your shift and put a fake smile on if you have to but from start to finish the whole experience was horrendous. By the way, the food was tasty and filling.

Good Place for a Beer or Two

By RCSColumbus |

We stopped in for a beer or two one Saturday afternoon and even though there were only a few people there, we had to flag down the only server to get a beer. Beer was cold and tasty. Live guitar player was good. Felt like the place could use a good cleaning. Overall, though, a decent place to stop for a beer on a hot afternoon.

Amazing food, amazing service!

By Sam H |

Could not rate Hennessey's any more highly! The service was outstanding and the food was amazing. 8 of us all served for lunch within just a minutes of arrival. Great specials on drinks and really good house special recipes too! Highly recommended.

A nightmare of customer service

By Chris C |

This restaurant is Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Me and my father are locals here in las Vegas and we’re on Fremont Street to go zip lining at the SlotZilla. We arrived early and had to wait until we could go zip lining and were looking for a place to sit so we could be out of the heat. That is when we walked into Hennessey’s Tavern. We sat down in The bar area and started to talk when the waitress walked up to us and asked us if we were ordering. I told her that we were actually there waiting to go on the zip line and asked if it was ok that we were there. She then told us that the area was meant for guests only and my dad got a little upset as any tired hot person would. But instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, the woman got extremely nasty with my father and stated “I can’t have you in here you’re ####### rude!”, and also “go #### yourself”. Words cannot explain how embarrassed, disgusted, and angry I felt in that moment. Horrible service and do not expect a warm welcome from these hell like people.

Food was great and unique

By Atlopengym |

I went for the chicken and jalapeño quesadilla and the rest of the food was bonus flavors. The wings were a really good flavor of hot.

Definitely recommend

By alb152015 |

Good food, good music inside the tavern and live music outdoors. Tasty food. The server was a little slow, but near by tables were served well and faster by another server. So I think we were out of luck. But I would come back

Awesome

By Stephen H |

My wife and I stopped in here while enjoying the Fremont Street experience. We had a table outside along the railing. We felt we were in the heart of it all. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drink while listening to the street musicians 30' away. Our waitress was also fantastic. An enjoyable memory.

Middle of the road pub...

By Rum connoisseur 76’ |

Decent English/Irish pub...not bad to swing through for a Guinness or two! The location is great considering it’s centrally located within the Fremont Street Experience ara, however the service and cleanliness of the bar left a bit to be desired. Granted the bartender was solo and slammed, but the service still should have been better. I would say slightly lower than average priced drinks which is a plus in Vegas. Bartender was friendly and offered recommendations for food/drink establishments in the area. I would go back, but not out of my way to do so.

Burgers are pretty good

By beach lover |

We had the mini nugget sampler. They were all tasty. The mushroom and bacon and blue cheese toppings were the best. I ordered them medium well. They were definitely not medium well. I would say medium rare, with quite a bit of pink in the middle. The pretzel bun was really good. I recommend sitting outside. Ambiance is much more fun. Inside is pretty old and dark. We were really hungry, and overall, it did the job.

Good food

By Diane B |

Our food was excellent. We had burgers , onion rings and a great dessert. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. Great service

Surprisingly Good

By dardar14701 |

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp I wasn't certain if I wanted to eat here or not. But our group of 5 wanted an inexpensive meal before going on the zip line on Fremont St and this seemed like the best choice in the area for the price. We sat just inside the door where we could still look outside somewhat. At first the waitress didn't come right over and I thought about some of the reviews that said the service was bad. but once she started waiting on us the waitress was very attentive. she refilled our water glasses many times , sometimes without asking her. The order was taken and the food came out in a timely fashion . We had a variety of food at the table... burger, big chicken salad, beef in wick, fish fry etc. all was hot and tasty and the 5 of us got out of there for just over 100.00 and for Vegas thats a great price!! It was definatley more of a bar atmosphere but was just right for what we were looking for that night. It is not fine dining or quiet so if thats what you want , go else were but if you want some inexpensive sandwich/finger food type food this was a good spot. If you get lucky and get one of their few outside tables it would be great to people watch and watch some of the outdoor street performers of Freemont St.

Wont Go Back

By NoFancyTastebuds |

I ended up here because I needed out of the house (WFH) and they had an interesting drink I wanted to try. The noise was mostly from the people, which I appreciate over loud TVs. I got a Pot-O-Gold, which is a tropical Redbull mixed with Irish whiskey. The whiskey is really only an aftertaste, so I could easily see myself drinking a few of these (3/5 stars). I ended up also getting the Dublin Burger and Garlic Parmesan Fries. I asked for a medium burger, and that is was I received. It itself was under seasoned, but the cheddar and signature sauce made up for it. The burger was also nice and thick, which I do like over smash burgers (4/5 stars). The fries, however, were a disappointment; they were dry and under seasoned, and it only gave you a *hint* of garlic parmesan (1/5 stars). What really killed the mood was the service. I ended up going around 1pm on the weekend, and while it was a little busy, there were a lot of staff in sight. It is a sit where ever you want type of place, which would have been fine if it didn't take someone nearly ten minutes before seeing to me. I was checked on multiple times after that, until the end. I ended up waiting over thirty minutes before I ended up waving someone down for a check. All in all, I give it 3/5 stars, only for the drink and burger. Most likely wont be back.

Good place for comfort food

By Ron H |

This place sits at the east end of the Fremont Street Experience. Great location with misters to help cool the area. Tall tables with comfortable seating and many have a great view of the activities outside. The restaurant itself is a little run down looking and the bathrooms are not the cleanest, but the food was very good. The Irish nachos were well done and flavorful, the Mac and cheese with beer cheese was great, and the shepherd’s pie was amazing. Very rich and hearty. The service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. There are tons of places to eat in downtown Vegas and obviously some really amazing places to get a meal, but this is some great comfort food in a nice place.

Great casual dining expwrience

By MrsKA59 |

This place has amazing sandwiches and a great selection of beers and drinks. The food is moderately priced and well proportioned. Our waitress was very nice and the food came quickly. Highly recommend. I had the brisket sandwich which was amazing!

Pretty good pub food

By Olive Branch |

My son and I were looking for a refuge from much of the mayhem we found on Fremont Street and we stumbled upon Hennessey’s. Overall we were happy with the results. The staff was nice and friendly. We started with the Irish nachos (they were out of the calamari which was our first choice ) and they were tasty but they could’ve used more toppings. We both had burgers that were cooked nicely and flavorful. Both the fries and onion rings we’re good compliments. Overall, a good experience. Recommended.

Drinks and apps

By marxbk18 |

We stopped here before hitting Fremont St. They had a really good band plYing. We had the Irish Nachos age they were typical pup fate but still good. Drinks are drinks. Nothing special but not bad. It’s a nice place to chill out and relax.

😋 Yummy

By T13avy |

Food was fab, and more reasonable than proves on the strip. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful choosing food and drink. Highly recommended

No reason to return

By SalfromIL |

We decided to stop by for happy hour. Happy hour starts at 4 PM and we got there a few minutes early. Beers are much more expensive during regular hours than during happy hour. We had a couple beers and then ordered some pretzel bites. They were average at best. We then ordered two more appetizers, shrimp tacos and onion rings. Again, both were very average. There is nothing that makes us want to return.

Waitresses on the ball!

By Mary P |

Place was busy on a saturday noon. Waitress was polite and efficent. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Good deal on Bloody Mary and Screwdriver.

Good value food

By AlexLS2000 |

Got a table out the front so was good for people watching. Drinks and food are priced well and portion sizes were good

Tipping spoilt our meal!

By Anna I |

Great spot for people watching, not the cleanest of places but the food was tasty. At the end of the meal we were told we had to choose to tip either 18 or 20% of our bill. The waitress then told us she only gets paid $4 an hour so we have to tip that much and don’t get any choice over how much to tip. We had been in the USA for two weeks and not experienced this - but we’re told this is normal service? It made for an uncomfortable end to our evening.

We left before we were waited on...

By Lisa M |

We were really struggling to find a place to eat at Fremont St. we happened upon this spot and thought it would work. We were seated, but quickly noticed how dirty the table was, the menus were sticky and had other food drippings on them, the condiments on the table appeared the same. We then realized it wasn’t very busy in the restaurant and then I checked the other reviews on Trip Advisor quickly. We decided to just leave before it got worse.

Great food and a nice atmosphere

By JAG |

Food was very tasty, went with family and friends there were 7 of us in total. All food out at the same time and all hot, no complaints on our table. Nice atmosphere with a band playing, we were surprised by how big the menu was as with it looking more like a bar we expected a menu to match but that wasn't the case. I went for the steak which was a little overcooked but still very tasty.

Rip off place

By karenCFC |

We have always come here to have a couple of drinks to start the night off as good place to people watch. However, this time was not so good. Waited to be served for qute a while and my husband got fed up and went to the bar. I dont think they like you doing this. We bought a couple of pints of lager and it came to $23. Apparently we were within Happy hour but they didnt say and charged full price. Right rip off. wont ever visit here again. In hindsight, glad it happened as we discovered some much better bars in East Fremont.

Ok. Nothing amazing.

By Steve H |

2nd time visit (previous a few years ago) Food very average. Had fish and chips. Nearly all batter. Would not go to again.

Good service but the food is average.

By Cadillac-Dave |

The server was great and took care of out table of 5 very well. Drinks were good. Food was average. We had appetizers and entrees.

Birthday Trip Disappointment

By Tonya P |

Was really disappointed this visit to Hennessey's. They did away with the Patty Melt Sandwich that was so awesome. So we ordered other burgers. We asked for them to be done BUT not burnt. They came out way overdone and dry and burnt. We told our server BUT nothing was done, not even a sorry. I am not sure if I will go back again or not. Like I stated before the first couple of times there the service and food was awesome. This time a big disappointment.

Probably among the better places on Fremont Street

By Shu K |

We walked through all of the Fremont Experience area for restaurants, and it was frankly not impressive. Everything was old, smoky and old... I supposed if you want the old Vegas experience, this is what you want. But for my family, it was a let down. So we were happy to find Hennessey's Tavern, which was just at the entrance to the Fremont Experience. The Shepherd's Pie was great, as was the California Citrus Salad. Our daughter had her burger and our son a cheese pizza. We liked the juices (lemonade, OJ for the kids). Our server, Autumn, was absolutely fantastic (and beautiful). She took good care of us and we happily drove back to our resort on the strip. One last thing - there is a parking garage just next to the restaurant, so it was very convenient.

Shocking service and draft beer

By Simpy76 |

Dropped into this Irish bar tonight and that’s where an Irish man went wrong. Menu has a nice picture of a lager on the front but be warned this is not what you get. Ordered a pint of draft coots light and out came pint glass of completely lifeless flat beer. Told the waitress to replace it with a bottle which she gladly did. However, not before I assume manager brought out (apparently) a fresh pint poured by himself and it was exactly the same. I tried to explain back home in Ireland pints of later come with a small foam head and the pint glass should be alive with bubbles. He proceeded to explain I wasn’t in Ireland.... 👍 and that that’s not how they pour them here in America. I did tell this guy try not to insult my intelligence in how to pour a pint but he was just ignorant and rude. Sorry but this just ruined my food which I’m sure was fine but I was just so annoyed at how some people perceive themselves as experts in hospitality!! Shocking. 100% will not be anywhere near again!!!

Fish a joke

By deni2001 |

We had fish and chips it was probably the worst ever we got 4 tiny bits of frozen fish not worth the money do not eat here its bad

Nice, Friendly Irish Pub

By twinkletoes5477 |

Visited Hennessey's twice as the bar staff were super friendly. The Guinness was poured to perfection and the new Bartender, Sara I believe her name is, made the perfect Spicy Caesar. An easy going establishment with a great bar atmosphere. We did order food one day and my husband's Dublin Burger was good. However, my Vegetarian Burger was not. The patty was very plastic tasting and the bun didn't compliment the patty. The bun seemed too sweet. 4 stars for great bar staff and atmosphere.

9:30pm

By James D |

Worst burger. Over cooked meat, cold unmelted orange imitation cheese. Bun was cold. French fries were cool also. I sent it back to get heated, and at that point I hadn’t take a bite, so I didn’t know the meat was already overcooked. Order came back. Fries were new but were way under cooked. Burger was dried out, orange stuff was melted now, but bun was cool again. Waitress never checked back to see how everything was. Not once. Terrible service. Very weak effort all around. If this is their attention to detail, I can imagine the other issues this place must have. I’ll never know. Won’t be back

Good food

By IMatthews |

Good waiting staff and a great live band while we were eating. Good choice of food and a decent price.

Highly recommend!

By Ryan |

Amazing place right at the end of the Fremont street experience. Great staff awesome food and very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend

Terrible service and even worse food.

By Travis L |

Our food was terrible. I complained to the waitress Colleen that my tenders were dry and uneatable, I didn’t even get an apology for it or an offer to have it taken off the bill. Throughout our whole visit she had a terrible attitude and was rather rude.

Was OK

By Isabel L |

The guy playing and singing was good and had a nice selection of songs. The food is OK. Nothing to write home about. Large variety of drinks. Good atmosphere. Nice staff.

Stop here for happy hour!

By jpic |

Stop here! Timi was an amazing bartender! She took care of us. Happy hour was super happy! The drinks were fabulous. Don’t miss this.

Lunch

By sharon s |

Went for lunch early. Not many people here. Had the fish and chips. Was pretty good. Had a good Irish cider on tap.

Check Your Bill Carefully Before Paying

By NealCassady001 |

My wife & I had dinner in the bar on a Saturday night. We ordered two sandwiches with fries (fries are extra; sandwiches come with kettle chips), a tequila & soda, & a double gin & tonic. The sandwiches were good; we were discussing coming back for breakfast the next day. Then the check came: $85 & change. We asked the server why the bill was so high, & it sounded like she had the wrong order--the tequila & soda had Patron in it, so we were charged for that, & the gin & tonic had Hendrick's in it, & we also were charged for that. The only problem was we did not specify what liquor was to be in the drinks other than tequila & gin. In other words, we received items other than what we ordered & were charged for them. We told the server that. Her response was to the effect of: "I don't like my customers drinking well drinks." My wife told her, "I've been a bartender for 30 years & I have never given a customer anything other than well drinks unless they specifically called for something else. We didn't call for anything else." The server told us she would see about getting that straightened out, & eventually the bill came back as $65 & change. I can only speculate if there were any ulterior motives here, but I will just finish off with this: by charging us for top shelf liquor when we didn't order it, the server guaranteed at least 3 things: we will never return; we will tell our friends about it, & this review.

Avoid

By Curiosity56821165879 |

Avoid at all costs, Total rip off, poor food. Charged premium spirit prices and surcharge of $50 dollars for a large party, there was 6 off us!! Tried to take payment without producing a bill. Only noticed surcharge when we asked for itemised bill. Absolute rip off

Liz was great!

By Dar Lee |

We just had drinks this week at the bar, but Liz was very nice and went above and beyond to serve us. She is the reason why we would definitely return.

Won't go back. EVER.

By Mary P |

The drink prices are HORRIBLE which was amplified by bad waitress. They never came back to check on us. And we had to chase them down for the bill. Which we were charged automatically for TOP SHELF liquor. Never got a receipt. 2 drinks and one beer for $48 (before the tip).

Taking a punt!

By Andy W |

Went with four family members for dinner to a traditional Irish pub. We ordered macaroni cheese (good); Prime Dip Sandwich (good); California citrus salad (average). I normally share meals with my wife who is not a big eater. We opted for the fish and chips (wish I had read the previous comments beforehand) along with the Crispy Brussels and Cauliflower. The chips were hopelessly overcooked and the fish was very dry totally overwhelmed by a huge amounts of overcooked batter. Not pleasant! We were then told that there was no Brussels so we opted for the Calamari, big mistake! Calamari is one of my go to starters, it was upsetting that the Calamari or what was cunningly disguised as Calamari was without doubt the absolute worst Calamari I have ever had!! It was that bad I shared it with my family to obtain some feedback. That’s the kind of guy I am. All agreed, ABYSMAL!! Then to top it all off the Brussels arrived! You had to laugh! Unfortunately, this also failed in every way. Bottom line, you’re taking a gamble coming in for food here. Some is good, some not so. I will say though that it has a good pub atmosphere and the waitress was very pleasant. One more thing we had a power outage, hardly their fault though to be fair.

What a great find

By Sham2 |

Popped in here whilst at downtown , what a great find . Good drinks (happy hour ) , service was excellent and a fantastic service from our waitress - Lindsey who did a fantastic job chatting and keeping us entertained . Will be back soon

This is a great stop for food and drinks on Fremont Street!

By ashbris |

We actually love this restaurant. We have been here a few times. They are very accommodating for groups and the food and drinks are delicious!

Great place

By Ejd1056 |

Ate here whilst at Fremont street and would recommend. Traditional style pub. We both had a burger- I had a plant based burger and my partner had a beef burger. Both were lovely. And my partner said his burger was very tasty. Both were cooked fresh. Great food at great prices. Great location to sit and watch the world go by

Our favorite place on Fremont St

By Gary U |

One of our favorite places to go in Las Vegas. Just stayed on Fremont for a long weekend and went here twice. Monday morning had great drinks and the staff is super friendly. Kay was fantastic and we could not have had a better start to the day. They also have great food but we did not eat there this time. Perfect break from the casinos and a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Summer is a Great Bartender

By Dan R |

We stopped in as part of our own pub crawl. We decide to have a homemade vodka and lemonade. It was great and Summer was a lot of fun. Go visit her and have a drink.

Big Game party

By Bill S |

I went here for dinner twice, first time had the burger which was cooked to medium and it was perfect. Very filling . Bartender, waitresses and GM made us feel very welcomed. Nachos were outstanding also. We went back for the Big Game Feb 2 to watch it here , same experience as we will always stop when were in Vegas. Job well done by everyone.

Loved this place!

By MrsV27 |

My bridal party came in for some drinks and appetizers. We got to enjoy some live music and woah the band playing was great! I love cover bands and they were really talented.

Couples break

By smythy74 |

Fantastic food and great customer service. We went on a Wednesday and selected food from a menu were at the end you flipped a coin to see if you had to pay for your meal or not. There was 6 of us and only 3 had to pay. We had fish and chips, steak with mash, salmon with mash and a burger and chips. Well worth the money. We also went back at lunch time. I got a Hennessey sandwich which came with crisps and I struggled to eat it because it was so big. My husband has the shepherds pie which was full of flavour

Nice, not great, tavern

By John F |

Hennessey's is convenient to The D, being just a block away. It's a nicely decorated place inside, with a patio outside, right on Freemont. So in our case, the convenience of an okay place overrides the so-so food. Maybe it's striving to be more of a bar than a restaurant. That's okay, just know that going in. Service is adequate. Just don't be in a hurry to go somewhere else. Oh, food tip: skip the fish 'n chip entree. Definitely the worst plate we've had there. Other plates we've have there have been adequate. There are some other places around there that we'll try in the future.

Right in the heart of Fremont Street

By jeffrey85 |

Great burger and good value on there 2 for 1. Also good ambiance as we ate an early supper there. Servers were friendly and attentive.

Best steak ever!

By NorthStar778375 |

Great meal best steak we have ever had, very cheap, huge plates. A small mistake that the meals were forgotten we weren't worried at all, but the awsome waitress and manager put on free meals which was just a bonus! cheers team!

A good meal

By Keep Life Simple Allan |

Hennessey's is an Irish type bar where you can get large sandwiches like the Irishman burger and some good draft beers while sitting outside on the terraces and enjoying downtown Las Vegas.

Location

By MarkE1971 |

Pop in and relax with a drink and just relax. Nice staff and good drinks, just sit in the sun and watch the world pass by.

Poor service

By Brian L |

We were seated outside and having a good time. Server spilled a lemonade all over the place. Got on everyone. Hey, that stuff happens. But usually you comp the table... they comped one beer for the person who got the most spilled on them. Poor management.

Irish Themed Pub

By travelbug |

Had a cheeseburger and French fries. Okay burger, fries were not crispy and we had to flag down our waitress for everything and they weren’t even that busy. The wait staff seemed to hangout around the bar area.

Tasteless margaritas

By Francochips |

Good bar, staff great but double margaritas had zero tequila taste, had extra shot but still nothing. I would guess they either dilute their tequila or they use the worst one available. Salt into our wounds, ridiculous bill. Double check prices before you order, they advertised happy hour with margaritas at $6, we paid nearly $30

Breakfast was Awesome!

By reggie7548 |

We went for Breakfast this past trip and it was Awesome. I had the DUBLIN BENEDICT, while my two buddy's both had the CAP'N CRUNCH FRENCH TOAST. Everyone was more than pleased. Of Course, it wouldn't have been complete without a world famous BLOODY MARY! The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Good food, good atmosphere, good staff - Awesome deal!

Great food and service

By az42rose |

We loved eating at Hennessys and the waitresses were so helpful and efficient. Generous fish and chips plus delicious! The Shepards pie was huge and done perfectly for our tastes and the American burger was outstanding. Keep up the great work - we will be back!

Great Burgers and Staff

By Chantelle B |

I've visited here 3 times across my two visits to Vegas and I haven't been disappointed. We visited on New Years Eve and got to play out the UK New Year (we're from England so this was great and the atmosphere was amazing) - we were treated to a champagne flute each too which was nice! I went for the special burger for that week which had a beef pattie and mac and cheese in it too, and it was absolutely delicious. I could not have been happier! The bun was amazing too. I don't think I've ever had a burger bun like it! Would love the recipe for that :) My only criticism would be that drinks are a little on the expensive side, and there aren't prices on all of the drinks across the menus which I thought was a little odd... All in all a wonderful experience. If I come back to Vegas (because who can really stay away?) I will certainly be hitting this place up again :)

Well the food was okay! We were the only ones in there. Ordered fish and chips, they were ok but didn’t like the fries th

By Poolboy31 |

Well ordered fish and chips, fish was okay fries had chili powder on them and weren’t cooked long enough. Mine came with coleslaw. I don’t eat coleslaw so I can’t comment on it. My wife got fish tacos and they weren’t to bad either. She got nacho chips and some black bean. There were a lot of gnats flying around and it was cold outside. Waitress didn’t seem enthused so…. 1 last thing as soon as I was done eating had to run to the bathroom and I mean run!!

Strange food, no service.

By Susan K |

When we finally found our waitress, yes it was our responsibility to find her and beg her to take our order, she talked us into ordering the chef's special. It was nasty. Then we had the awesome responsibility to track her down and beg her to take our money for the food. Funny, when we were leaving, she was right there to collect her tip (which she didn't get).

Good breakfast place

By TravelingFan22 |

So glad I found this when I was searching for breakfast on Fremont Street. I've eaten at the Manhattan Beach restaurant in California many times and it is one of my favorites. Great breakfast! Eat in or out.

Average food, average prices

By Lealoo |

Pretty good choice of food on the menu, which a lot of Irish dishes on it. However, they are their take on those dishes, they are definitely not traditional. We went around lunchtime, they do offers on drinks for $5 which is ok. The mixed berry flavoured vodka was delicious. I had the brisket shavings, which were very well done. It was ok, enough to fill a hole I guess. Nice, clean toilets

Exceptionally clean and wonderful staff

By Alyssa S |

I ordered wings because I always feel that is a good way to judge a bar’s kitchen. My boyfriend ordered the traditional nachos. The wings were so huge, I couldn’t even finish my meal. Also the wings came with fries unlike some places that make you order them separately (seriously you know you’re going to order them anyway). Our server was great because we always had full drinks and she checked on us for any sauces we needed. The place was extremely clean for a bar, especially the bathrooms. The manager came around to all of the tables. They had great music. This place pretty much checked all of the boxes for me!

Expected better

By S4136XSdavidb |

Stopped in for recent happy hour drinks and munchies. It was not crowded. Drinks were cheap but disappointing. Munchies were just okay. Had eaten here several years ago and enjoyed it. This time not so much.

Great atmosphere and food!

By mandy8943 |

We enjoyed walking down Fremont Street to find this place. We were seated right away and ordered two appetizers and drinks. We ordered the garlic Parmesan pretzel bites and the chicken nachos. We also had the Kentucky Lemonade. It was all delicious! Great service too!! I would recommend stopping in, they also have a nice deck area to watch Fremont Street.

Needed food.

By R S |

have been here before, but just for drinks. And the Irish whiskey/ scotch selection is good! Was starving and this place had no waiting list. Ordered the calamari, and the the Frisco burger. Did not expect great service after sitting down, but was pleasantly surprised at how attentive the staff is. The calamari was cooked perfectly, but i felt it was a little over priced for the the quantity. The burger was very tastey, and I would say priced average for the location. I am deff conning back to try their breakfast and a 60 oz car bomb!

Great Irish PUb

By Kathy B |

We ate here when we visited The Freemont Street Experience. I had Shepherds Pie and it was huge and delicious. The others had the fish and chips, another shepherds pie and sirloin steak salad. On a Wednesday, when we visited, when you've finished the meal the manager comes round and flips a coin. If you win the toss you get your food free. One of our party managed to call correctly. A real novel way of getting customers in. They serve Guiness of course and it was very good. A real Irish pub with friendly staff and excellent food.

A Irish Pub With Average Food

By Amazon5 |

I visited Hennessey’s for the first time with some friends that had not been downtown Our overall experience was just average. The food was ok. My wife had the Dublin burger which was just average. I ordered the grilled cheese and soup it was good. We asked for water twice and got it when we were ready to ask for the bill. I wouldn't run back. It's located at the end of the Freemont Experience. Best part was sitting outside on the great patio and people watching. If your looking for proper Irish food may I suggest going on the strip to NYNY to Nine Fine Irishmen. If you want just a bit and people watching is more important then this is your place.

Waited forever for food and didn’t get anything!

By jakroll |

We stopped by on a Saturday night, found a table easy (it’s seat yourself), got our first drink relatively quickly but could tell the poor waitress was running her ass off. She warned us it would be 25-30 minutes for food, which sounded fine. After 55 minutes, no food we paid tab and left. Not sure how it’s during the week but beware on Saturday nights!

Great food, great service

By Char |

My daughter and I stopped in for a late dinner....our server, Jennifer Rose, was amazing. Made a recommendation which I was extremely pleased with. I have a bit of an issue with hearing...especially in noisy areas. Jennifer took the time to make sure we were understanding each other. She was attentive without being obnoxious (you know...servers that come to the table every 3 minutes or as soon as you take a bite of food!). Would recommend it if you want a good meal, a cold drink, and to just relax.....

Do not recommend this place

By ToriaJ1 |

After a great day on Fremont, we called in for a beer and a wine. We sat outside and after a while someone came out to see us. We asked for a wine and a beer. Husband asked for a Dos Equis and our server didn't know what it was and scowled so he just went for a modelo. Took a while to arrive so after we decided to move on. Asked for bill and again took some time to arrive. When it did she had highlighted the suggested tip of 20% and written Tip NOT included!! At the bottom! We always tip but it just felt really off that it would be presented in that way. We didn't have fantastic service and to then be given a request for a tip for high service was just rough. 35 dollars for 2 drinks and then an extra 7 for bringing them over is just off....

Complete rip-off! Paid $28.13 for just two beers.

By Bence |

Complete rip-off! Paid $28.13 for just two beers. Prices are outrageous, and the value is definitely not there! Avoid this place

NOT IRISH.

By UncleBob540 |

I hope you don't go in looking for Irish food, you won't find any. No corn beef or cabbage on the menu, save a sandwich, no anything and mash, shepherd's pie is made with beef. Worse yet, Other than Guinness, not Irish beers on tap either! I guess the place is fine if you need something to soak up the excesses of Freemont street, but that is about it. The 2 extra stars are because the burger I ordered was cooked right, and our server was polite and professional. I am pulling their Irish card. And I see no reason for going back either.

Loud Bar with Live Music at Night

By TravelingSoccerLoon |

Stopped here later in the night for some beers. Loud place with live music playing. A lot of drunk 20 something year olds but we had a good time.

10 minutes and Did Not Get Waited On

By Carlos V |

We stopped in for a late lunch. There were plenty of open tables AND plenty of wait staff standing around. After 10 minutes, we got up and left. There are too many places one can go in the downtown area to put up with that. We went down the block to another place we had not tried before and had a great experience.

Great Pub with Fantastic Food!

By Ken |

We both love a good pub! This was a fantastic choice for lunch. The Ahi Poke was really fresh and super tasty! The Fish & Chips were also excellent! Liz was our server and was really friendly, gave us great ideas and also helped us find other things to do while in town! She was great!! We will be back for sure!

Great food, open late

By KnoxTravler |

We went late on a Friday night, the food was great and the service was excellent. Nice decor inside and patio seating outside which is perfect for people watching. All of the pub staples and all of our party enjoyed their meals. I loved the shepherds pie. Would definitely go back.

Ok but slow service

By Kevin M |

The service here was very slow. It's right at the start of Fremont street so it's not as hectic as others in the area. All very average

It was a nice place to sit

By Roadsofa |

We sat out front on Freemont street, ordered drinks and appetizer. The appetizer was onion rings and there was enough for a meal. My wife then ordered chicken fingers and fries. The chicken fingers wasn't done. One was Completely RAW. The Manager took it and the appetizer off our bill said that has never happened before. I had the Moo-cluck-oink burger it was good.

Decent food, good location

By Angelina S |

We ate at Hennessey’s Tavern on St. Paddy’s Day and obviously it was very busy. Regardless of the amount of people, we were able to find a table very quickly. We had our 18 month old with us and the staff was very accommodating. We received fast, accurate and friendly service. The location is right on Fremont St. so it was in the middle of all the fun and excitement. We ordered the Shepard’s Pie and although good, not the kind of Shepard’s Pie we were expecting. We also ordered the fish and chips and it was a good meal but nothing extraordinary. We’ll probably go again but more for drinks other than food.

Good atmosphere but service a tad slow

By RichardF38 |

You get the real Irish Bar feel when entering.....sticky floors and dark wood interior. We sat at the bar and played the gambling machines inserted.....for this we got free drinks which was great, although we had to ask to be served a further 2 times (we didn't mind paying!) I had a starter of chicken strips as a snack and they were lovely...hot fresh and very tasty. A good place to sit and soak-up a few hours, or relax from all the walking Vegas subjects you to!

Nice stop for lunch

By JayToner |

We got a seat on the verandah for lunch after doing Slotzilla. Nice food and friendly staff and a decent menu.

Food is ok, people watching even better

By Foodiein757 |

I visited Hennessey’s for the first time and enjoyed myself. Our server, Ashley, was sweet, engaging and a lot of fun. The food was ok. I had the burger sampler which is four mini burgers. One had cheese, one bacon and BBQ sauce, one with blue cheese and one mushroom burger. I ordered them medium but they came out medium well and the buns were smashed. The toppings on the burgers carried the taste, not compliment. The beef wasn’t really seasoned and it was bland with no topping besides being overdone. People watching here is a lot of fun. The location is near the end of the Freemont Experience. So, if you sit outside on the great patio, you’ll also be treated to a people watching show!

Good People Watching

By Chris R |

Ate here with a group of friends. The food was average. Our server was nice and attentive. We sat outside and watched all of the people on Fremont Street. It was like having dinner and a show.

Top of the Line for Budget minded Visitors

By Jud J |

regular bar food and drinks, but way more budget minded place than most of Vegas. It is a great people watching spot, in the fremont Experience. Menu is Bar Comfort food with an Excellent variety of Hamburgs and sanswhiches.

Wednesday - Got all food for free

By emanuellandell |

Went on a Wednesday and I was told to flip a coin after dining. Since my guess was correct they removed the food from the bill and I only paid 5$ in total for my beer. I had a irish sallad and it was really, really tasty. If I come back to Vegas I will revisit for sure.

Landmark

By mrt1955 |

Stopped in here to escape the brutal Las Vegas summer heat. Misters here were great. Staff was super friendly and did an excellent job of keeping us hydrated and refreshed. We left in much better shape than when we arrived. Good place to stop.

Food and service were great

By TravelingBum10 |

While at Fremont Street Experience, we decided to eat lunch at Hennessy’s. We stay on the patio to people watch. Waitress came over right away and took our order. Food came out within 30 minutes. Everything tasted great. This place is a bit pricey. The bathroom was clean.

Freemont St. hidden gem, right at the end of town

By DGA |

Good food.....fish and chips...bit heavy on the batter...but it was cooked to perfection. Irish nachos were a nice touch. Beer was really nice.....perfect Guinness and Hazy IPA. Place has a nice vibe. Service was good.

Decent Food, Great Patio

By Rebecca M |

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking down Fremont Street. The food was decent, not outstanding. The best part of this restaurant is the patio, where you can sit outside and watch everything happening on Fremont Street.

Terrible overpriced bland food

By D333 |

"Cold and bland food for a premium price, yummy!" - Said no one ever I have never been so disappointed at a restaurant, especially an Irish pub at that. The waitress was great, the food was terrible, completely unseasoned, and seemingly reheated before they left it out to get cold and deliver it to our table. I was afraid that our party had contracted covid at the same time because the food was that terrible. I wish there was a 10th of the saltiness that I currently have right now on our lunch when we went for the first and last time. 1 extra star for the waitress, the kitchen and kitchen staff need a damn overhaul and some salt and pepper.

Best avoided

By mcglassa |

I wouldn't recommend this place - the food was average at best and service fairly poor (slow and order incorrect). Ordered the steak and shrimp... which came with only two shrimp (would have expected three or four?) and the steak was ok but not great. The atmosphere inside the pub was lacking and the singer they had singing with acoustic guitar was terrible. I wanted to tip him to make him stop!

food

By Gary G |

The staff here are great, they make it fun. The food is very good, for pub food. good location to sit have a beer and watch the people on the street. Sit outside and you could stay for hours watching what is going on, in the street. Lol. Very good way to pass so time.

Just okay...

By padd1969 |

Had a meal here on a Sunday evening.. Service was haphazard, food was okay, fries cold.. Drinks were okay Band was very loud, not a great experience,

Good food

By Albert |

Family had dinner here while visiting old town Vegas. The appetizer calamari was average but good. Three of us had the burgers and we’re very good. other two had the pub club with to much sour dough bread, but was good. Our waitress was very nice.

Okay place but some rude staff

By karenCFC |

The only good thing about this place is Happy hour and people watching. My husband went to the bar to get served, and the server came over and said, "Next time you want a drink, you come to me. 10 minutes before happy hour, he called her, and she said happy hours ended. Don't think we will be back.

Comfort food

By Hbombdiggity |

Started with a Bloody Mary that was on special for $5 and it was really good. I wasn't overly hungry so I ordered the spinach artichoke dip appetizer which was very, very good. Some of our group had sandwiches and others had steak and ribs. I tasted the ribs and they were phenomenal. Everyone in our group really enjoyed the meal. I would definitely recommend Hennessey's to anyone in Vegas.

If you like good service, this place isn’t for you...

By Stephanie S |

It started when we walked in... we weren’t greeted, in fact we had to find a server to ask about seating. We were told too seat ourselves wherever we liked. So we sat in the bar. 10 minutes went by and no one even glanced at us. We finally went up to a server and let them know we hadn’t been served yet. They said “there isn’t any service in the bar, walk up and order it yourself” ... wow. Ok. So we walked up to the bartender and ordered our food and drinks. It was another 10 minutes before our drinks came out, and no water was offered. At this point I was so pissed at the lack of service I wanted to walk. Luckily the food was good, and the man that brought it to us was nice. I would have tipped if he had been our server. But the bartender sucked, and almost all the wait staff sucked as well. If you like service, save yourself the grief and go to another place where they always greet you and treat you with respect. I left irritated and didn’t tip. A tip reflects quality service - and this place gave me and my friend little to none.

Love the La Jolla location; this one eh...and be sure to check your cc receipt against the monthly bill

By David W |

We love going to Hennessey's in La Jolla and we were looking for a quick bit to eat before a show, we figured this was a safe choice. Oh well. The food was ok, but the service was rather lacking. For example, when you order a beer with your burger, you would assume it would come before you are done with your burger. Also, when doing the monthly reconciliation of credit card charges on the bill to our receipts, noticed there was a discrepancy. Not sure if it was fraud, or some sort of mistake. Since it was only a couple bucks, not worth the effort to fight it. There are just too many other choices; won't be returning to this location.

Good place to hang

By Geri D |

We needed an informal place to grab a beer and late lunch and this filled the bill. Fremont St. is a different place not Hennessey s is really normal. Only had a burger and grilled cheese and soup but they were good and r was cold

Nice pint of Guinness

By kgb33 |

Right on Fremont St , decent food and the best pint of Guinness around , but really expensive over $10 us , I pay around $7 ca in BC . With exchange rate even worse . Service a bit slow even when it’s quiet .

Great place to dine and people watch

By kellyr-16016 |

We really enjoyed our dinner experience. The service was friendly and attentive. The drinks and food were awesome! The fries were one of the highlights- perfectly crispy. Definitely recommend!

In the average

By Martin B |

Ugh. Nothing really special. Average atmosphere. Average food. Ordinary service. In fact, this pub is not to be avoided, not at all, but there is really nothing that stands out. And the burgers are good but it's hard to miss burgers.

Horrible

By jay |

Horrible, and I’m not one to complain about anything but the disrespect that’s allowed at place. NEVER have I EVER had to pre pay at a restaurant before and I’ve been to wayy nicer and more up kept restaurants , and when I say very disrespectful our supposed to be “ server” told one of my family members that they should just leave and go to McDonald’s instead , I’m honestly out of words and by the way found hair in our food so many times it started to seem as if they were purposely putting it there. Never thought I’d have to pay before I could take a seat at a restaurant until I came here the embarrassment was unbelievable.

Great atmosphere with a little less craze..

By LouEandJoeK |

I’m in town for less than 24 hours for a work event tonight, but wanted to get a quick walk in to still get out and experience the downtown. After walking through the large/crazy/fascinating but too loud area, I found this spot with some great musicians out front. Even though it was 96 degrees, I sat outside (got a cool draft from the inside AC a few times) and had a fabulous seared salmon BLT salad. I had time to wonder about all of the people across the way weighing themselves outside the Heart Attack Shack, too... 🤣 My waitress (Sandy?) was also very authentically friendly. Thumbs up!

Too loud, okay service

By Kimberley C |

This pub and the pub next door must be in a competition to create the most noise. They both have bands playing in the evening at the same time which means you can’t hear either band. Not to mention it’s impossible to hear the people you’re with. Surely they could work together and get one band to play whilst the other is on a break? Skip this pub until they sort their music out. Service was just okay. The outdoor seating does provide some entertainment if you watch people get on the scale at Heart Attack Grill...

Excellent Venue and Food

By donnan373 |

we had our wedding reception in the back. The service was great, food was excellent and prices couldn't be beat! If you are having a wedding in the Fremont Street area, i highly recommend this for your reception.

Great times

By Neil C |

We called in for a few drinks and were warmly welcomed by the staff, as there was 7 of us a 2 tables were pulled together. We sat outside and watched the Crazy world of Fremont street go by. Table service was great and very helpful. Well worth a visit.

Good Choice for Downtown

By BrockportFamily |

Good pub food. Has an Irish theme but not the most Irish place I've ever been. Price was reasonable for the area. Servers were OK. I would definitely eat here again if I was looking for straightforward bar food. Before you decide to eat out side, you need to evaluate what kind of street performances are going on. Can add to the experience if you like the performer. Could be a real annoyance if you don't.

Very poor service or we are now invisible.

By Meredith A |

We walked in and were told to sit anywhere, there were several open tables so we sat down and waited. And waited, and waited and waited. Wait staff walked by us multiple times with no eye contact or acknowledgment. People that came in after we did and sat right next to us had water and orders placed and we still had no service. We waited 10 minutes and left, walked right by 3 other employees who saw us sitting with no help- this is not a place if you like being served or acknowledged.

Tuesday’s burger special with EXCELLENT SERVICE

By asis76 |

If you’re lucky and visit downtown Las Vegas on a Tuesday, be sure to take your best friend to enjoy the special 2 for 1 burgers. My husband really enjoyed the Moo-cluck-oink burger with its juicy patty, crisp bacon, and fried egg on a very fresh (brioche?) bun. My 4 mini-burgers (bbq w/bacon, blue cheese, cheese, sautéed mushrooms) were the ideal sample size, on lightly toasted buns. Both our orders came with generous portions of perfectly cooked French fries. THE BEST PART of our eating experience was EXCELLENT SERVICE by our waitress PINAR. She demonstrated the ideal customer service attributes, personable and friendly, very courteous and attentive. Lucky us to enjoy our tasty meal and meeting her!

Great food.

By bill n |

This is a great place to eat in Fremont street. Really good food at a good price. A customer on the way out recommended the burger of the month. Now I am passing that recommendation on. It was wonderful and the fries were some of the best I have eaten. Thumbs up Hennesseys.

Great place for lunch. Serves breakfast until noon. At the end of Fremont where you catch the duece.

By Firechk75 |

Great burgers and awesome garlic Parmesan fries! Giant drinks if you want them as well 😁 end of Fremont where you catch the Deuce.

Overpriced drinks

By Mike B |

The food was quite good and fairly priced. The drinks are the other hand we’re egregious….. $12.50 for a pint of Guinness,

Casual dining

By krtrame |

The restaurant is on Fremont Street. Casual dining spot. I had the hamburger it was good. Free WiFi.

How much for a smile?

By Geoff E |

Always interesting to see another Irish bar in another country. This one has a picture of a piper in full Highland dress. Choice of food is reasonable and a decent price, Guinness was excellent. Waitress let the side down with the demeanour of an undertaker.

Love this dive!

By mylawyer2018 |

This was our second visit to this tavern and it was even better than the first. Pub club may be the best club sandwich ever. Take the pointless middle piece of bread out and enjoy the stuffings. Couldn’t decide between the onion rings and the chips, so we had both. Ate too much, but totally worth it!

On vacation

By CRS |

On vacation and tired of "casino" food, we tried Hennessey's. AWESOME!! Great food, drink and service. I would recommend the brisket. Had a bite of the Reuben and that was also good.

Terrible

By davy s |

6 of us sat down, ordered burgers well done, 1 was so raw a vet could of sorted it, told the waitress, she didn't care, took it away and spent the next ten minutes talking to her friends outside, tried to get her attention to order an alternative, eventually got another waitress to help, only to be told our waitress not be long, she is extremely busy, After 20 minutes we eventually got another dish ordered, the beer on draught was flat, we complained and she wasn't interested, The bill came and she added $70 bucks for a party of 6, we were not informed about this in advance, we complained only to be told that she relies on tips, eventually she took it off the bill and we gave her nothing, Glad to do so, I'll never again visit this place, one member of staff can ruin an establishment such as this Never be back

Good salad

By Steve C |

We just popped in for a drink but decided to stay and eat. Can get busy early evening. Menu doesn’t have too many options so we went for fish & chips and cobb chicken salad. The fish was pretty average but the salad was very good - fresh and well presented Service just about coped - the staff are very busy!

First time Downtown

By George M |

Wow food was lovely and atmosphere was buzzing!looking forward to come back. Nice and chilled place. The servers was first class!

Great tasting burgers - maybe

By piccode |

Great tasting burgers - maybe some of the best we have had. On Tuesdays - you get buy one get one free. Service was “good” - not great. Band played that was very good and was open to play requested song.. We would go again on another Tuesday night...

To avoid

By Zelili145 |

There were 6 of us for breakfast, 4 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 13, one person came to take the order, she persisted in asking us for drinks and as we did not understand that there was only coffee, she left and had to call her to come back, came back and asked again "what drinks" a nightmare Absolutely avoid for breakfast

Very good food, and very nice service (Ashley).

By MvdG |

Very good food, and very nice service (Ashley). It was not busy and we had a very good seat with a nice view of everything that passes by. It's also not as noisy as other places in Fremont. One of the better restaurants, at least for a simple lunch, in the area. Not expensive, we spent around $100 for 4 people including 20% tip.

WARNING: beware your credit card ...

By Juanfran1966 |

If you go there for some bites or drinks, prefer cash payment. If you decide to pay with credit card, accompany the waiter/waitress to the counter and do not leave your card one single second unattended. I was at Hennessey's Tavern last week, paid my bill with my new credit card and discovered two hours later (by chance) that fraud had been pledged with my credit card somewhere in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) ! Hennessey's is the only place where my card was taken apart for a while and also the only place where I did not have to enter my secret code. I wrote them to explain the situation, but did not receive any reaction so far. Fantastic, reliable place and people .... Never again.

Overcharged for ice and drink

By Jeff M |

I had the steak and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes, it was just okay, steak seemed a little chewy. I also had a double patron on the rocks and they charged me $4 for the rocks, this I have a problem with.

Great place

By suwilly666 |

Great views of Freemont st. Lovely service as well and reasonable prices. The food was lovely. Huge portions for us. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Great place to people watch

By irishfemme99 |

Good selection of snack and drinks and their are different specials daily. On the weekend you can get a bottle of champagne or Presecco for $20, Tuesday was buy a burger get one free. The patio has a great view of Fremont to entertain you

Server Perfect!! Location Good! Food Okay.

By BnH230601 |

If I could just review our waitress, it would be a 5, the location a 4, the food 3, the band/atmosphere a 1. Sat on the patio on Fremont on a perfect night. Food came out quick and was okay. The place was very slow...the inside was empty and the patio was half full. I will say that the empty inside may be because they had a "band" inside that was terrible - and LOUD!! They were just bad, in general, but the drummer was beating the snare drum like it ruined his life. I was tough just to walk through to get to the restrooms. Our server was absolutely amazing!!! I would not go back and can't recommend to others.

Breakfast and football

By Bruce K |

Had a good breakfast upon arrival and snacks/appetizers later while watch Thursday nite football...Chiefs vs Denver. Chiefs won...yea!

One of the Best on Fremont!

By runaway2travel |

I love a good Irish Pub and find them hard to resist, even when going on a food tour later that day. I was sucked in by the "Not Your Grandpas Root Beer". I like that stuff, and will occasionally grab a bottle... or two. The menu was pretty diverse from what I see at many other Irish pubs. I ordered the Irish nachos, and Irish bread pudding. Both were delicious. I had never had either of these dishes before, but I will definitely be back for more when I am in Vegas again. The prices were not outrageous either. Which was surprising. The service fast and friendly. It is also in an excellent location to people watch the weirdos going by with the outdoor seating.

Great service and food at a reasonable price

By mjtrpg |

I loved the baja style fish tacos and my partner really enjoyed the burger sampler. We liked them so much we ordered the same things three days later.

Late lunch/early dinner

By London |

My mom and I ate here at an "off" time. It was probably 3/4pm. Hardly anyone in there. Service was good and food was great. Those garlic Parmesan fries were so good with the BLT.

Spontaneous dinner for 13

By Daniella F |

This place easily accommodated a large group of people which was great. Food wasn't too bad for the price however the place is very dingy and dark which I guess goes with the name. I believe very American place to eat if you are a tourist.

Great happy hour. Great service and prices

By WhiskeyJameson102 |

Stopped by for drinks and food during happy hour. Our server Kaylee was great and the food and beverages were great as well.

Freemont Experience

By DoctorVio |

Decided to try some liquid refreshment in this establishment after reading some fine reviews on Tripadvisor, was not dissapointed. Fine watering hole in the crazy setting of Freemont street. Fine array of drinks to choose from and the food menu looked good(just did'nt have time to try it).

Better starve !

By Maria K |

The food was terrible . We had a burger and a nachos non of which was eatable! I can't even describe it , it just felt as if it was yesterday's dishes served today ! Too bad ....

Great food! Great service! Great location!

By Janene |

Hennessey's has a great variety of foods to choose from. Love the breakfast options. Fun, inexpensive drinks. Beautiful waitresses! Great atmosphere from the open deck area. Fun place for couples, friends and family to celebrate.

Good Food and Location to Watch the Fun of Fremont Street

By Tim W |

We ate at Hennessey's Tavern in the early evening while Fremont Street was just getting active. The food was good and happy hour prices made it even better. The bonus was eating outside and watching the street performers and other characters of Fremont Street while we ate. Our server, Olga, did a nice job and was personal and efficient.

Don't bother!

By robert a |

Were out with group of 10 last evening. Decided to go into Hennessey's for a drink and some appetizers. Service was awful. Not the fault of waitstaff but management. Took forever to get drinks and even longer to get food.. We were there for an incredibly long time. I don't know what others are but based on my spiced shrimp appetizer my don't bother heading is more than appropriate. I really don't know what it was that I was served other than it had something that resembled a shrimptail on the end. There is nothing Irish about the place except the name. There are hundreds of places to get mediocre food in Vegas so try someplace else based on our experience. Management reduced some bills but the confusion was ridiculous. I hope that the waitstaff was not penalized at the end of the shift as it would have been impossible to try to balance their til.

Great people watching!!

By Donovan C |

We ate a late lunch here and got a seat on the outdoor patio right on the corner of Fremont and Las Vegas BLVD. The service was great from their staff. The food was good. I had the fish and chips, they may have been a tad over done but it is something that didnt really take away from the meal. They give you an abundance of fries with your meal. They have a nice selection of beers on draft. The peole watching makes for great entertainment while your eatin.

Good food, good atmosphere

By Lets_go_family |

They have $5 appetizers. The ahi tuna is really good. Salads are big enough for 2 people. Substituted steak for chicken and received a whole steak.

Server thief.

By Heather W |

Food was great, service was ok. Server tipped herself 37.00 on my card after getting a cash tip. Left a very bad taste in my mouth, and won't go back. Will also let everyone I know to not go there if paying with a card.

Fun place excellent service

By Joe F |

We had dinner at the restuarant. Food was good, service was great for Las Vegas the cost of the drink special we had was reasonable. Would suggest trying the vodka lemonade. Awesome drink.

Good food except the nachos

By Jill V |

Located right next to Slotzilla went in for appetizers and drinks, had Moscow mules, edamame, calamari and nachos. Loved The edamame and calamari was exceptionally tender and flavorful lots of excellent sauce options for calamari especially loved the tartar sauce. Drinks and service were very good. Very disappointed in the nachos they were chicken nachos and we only found a couple small pieces of chicken. They really were just chips that kitchen threw a little cheese on and microwaved. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Best kept secret on Fremont Street

By ramja |

Headed to the "far end" of Fremont St. to see what we could find for dinner that was "different" and we came across this great tavern. A quick glimpse of the menu outside gave us a pretty good idea that we would be able to find something to our liking - they didn't disappoint. My wife was wanting salad, I was in the mood for a good sandwich and a beer. She ended up with the H.T. Chicken Cobb Salad and said it was "excellent". The chicken was tender, the greens fresh and the toppings and dressing were delicious. I had the Hennessey's Pub Club, and it was equally appetizing. It was piled high and very fresh and delicious. The fries were perfect - hot, and enough to compliment the sandwich, but not so much that I left a pile of uneaten fries behind. I was surprised that the place was only about half full - both nights (yeah, it was so good, we went back a second time on this same trip). Do yourself a favor - check it out!

Amazing Service!

By markharrop2018 |

Spent a few hours of our last night in Vegas, being looked after by possibly the best waitress we've ever come across. Thanks Autumn for the attentive service and understanding our humour!!

Unorganized & not attentive.

By Addison O |

The service was very slow. The waitress was unorganized and not attentive. A woman in our group who ordered a club sandwich waited 10-15 minutes longer than everyone else, which should have been the fastest thing to make on the order. I didn't mind the food, which is why I'm not giving it one star. The waitress mixed up requests and forgot to bring things. We had a table of 12 (on 6 separate checks) and many of us were paying in cash, but the waitress never came back to get the money and get us change. We ended up combining our checks and left over $200 sitting on the table to pay for the tabs that were left. When we told her it was there, she didn't seem to care. She was chatting away at the bar.

Great food, drinks are expensive

By Donedon |

Went here on a Saturday afternoon with my wife and another couple. Our server, Carla, was friendly and knowledgeable. We had the chili fries for an appetizer, and they were pretty good. The shepherd's pie was outstanding! It had generous amounts of ground beef. My wife loved her club sandwich. The downside comes in terms of price. I paid ten bucks for a 23 ounce blue moon draft. Ouch! And a whiskey with diet coke was 8 bucks. The food was really good, and the rock music they played over the speakers was awesome. It could use more TVs and a better version of Irish coffee. I give it an A for environment, A for the food, A for the service, and a C for the price.

Well that was good!!

We were quite surprised by how good the food was here.I recommend the grilled chicken club and the fish tacos! Good prices! Great happy hour!! The atmosphere around the restaurant is “great” Always something going on on Fremont street!!!! Our server was very good!

The Food was Tasty, But the Service was Slow

By Qbert33 |

If you have the time and don't mind slow service then this is a good spot for people watching while you eat. Our waitress appeared to be overworked which made the service slow. The food was delicious and came out hot. The fries were really good! We would go back here to eat when we have over an hour.

Great Food and Service

I had to be downtown with some friends so we decided to have lunch here. Our server Bobbi was great and attentive. The menu was varied and we all ordered something different and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the Ahi Poke and thought it was one of the best I have had in Vegas. Would definitely go back there next time I am in that area.

Fremont eats #1

We were excited to try this place after doing the mob museum. We had already looked at the menu online and knew what we wanted. After hanging out on Fremont for a while, we were hungry and ready. As we walked in a server said, "just sit anywhere ". We sat in front on the door, in sight of the entry desk, in view of the bar. The place looked pretty dirty, and I was ok with that. We saw several other tables get food and it looked good. A few others tables came in after we did. We waited. Servers walked by several times, no greeting or anything. We waited. Orders were taken for the later tables and again, no service. I tried to flag down someone to no avail. After 20 minutes we left. Disappointed completely. As frequent Vegas travelers, we won't be going to Hennessy's again.

Could have been better!

We attended a family wedding, not booked by us but happy to be there as had been in Fremont and Hennessy's previously. To be honest, would have thought that the 'reception room' should have had a few decorations (ribbons, balloons, flowers, place settings, coloured napkins, table confetti, music, lights as a minimal suggestion!) Food was OK, service adequate - one server for 25 guests - but had to chase up drinks and additional requests. Was grand, but would check for extra to make it special if doing it again 🤔

Great place to eat. We stopped for lunch. Try the Irish Nachos. Sliced potatoes with bacon, cheese, green onions and sour cream Were all loved them. Shepherds Pie was excellent and was a very generous portion. It was served with broccoli. Another person had the pretzel burger. It was large and came with fries. The last was the fish tacos. These were served with black beans and tortilla chips. Food was wonderful and fairly priced for the area.

Food and friendly staff!

Stopped in for a football game and ended up staying for lunch. Mike at the bar is friendly and helpful. Food was also spot on and at a reasonable price. If you find yourself wondering around freemont check this spot out!!!

We arrived during happy hour and the deals were great. Our server was hilarious, serving sizes were generous and the value was fantastic. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.
