Good for a quick bite

By Joy W |

Wanted something quick at the end of a long day of business meetings. The bartender recommended the shrimp tacos which were quite good. The place was a bit boisterous for me that evening so fortunately the service was friendly and quick.

Great Food but slow service

By Glowee |

We ate at the High Velocity restaurant 3 times our entire stay at the hotel and all 3 times they never got our order right. The food was fresh and very good. The Hostess, Jada was very accommodating and friendly. We had two great Waiters Ray and Charles George. They went above and beyond for us especially Charles George. He was friendly and had an great conversation with us. His customer service was outstanding and I would return again to the restaurant and request him again. It’s unfortunate that we did have a bad waitress by the name of Marrion, she was rude and made it seem that we were bothering her when she was taking our order. She became aggressive towards us which made our kids frighten and we had to request a new waitress or waiter. The manager did offer a free dessert to the kids because of Marrion’s aggressive behavior which she also displayed in front of her manager. The kids really enjoyed the dessert. I would return to the restaurant because the food was delicious and the service was good despite the bad experience with Marrion.

Convenient for hotel guests and nearby patrons

By Chris E |

Very active scene, with a sports-bar feel and good food. Enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich and appreciated the attentive service during a very peak-time of day.

Good food and reasonable prices for hotel restaurant

By Tina M |

Food and service was good. Convenient place to eat, or grab a drink while staying at hotel. Pork tacos were delicious.

Not The Best Service, Day 1 of 4

By Darrion R |

High Velocity restaurant is absolutely the worst. I checked in hotel today 5/29/2022, and am due to check out 6/2/2022. I can say for certainly I will not be going back. Restaurant staff aren't attentive and nor are present. They are more concerned with with each other than guest. You have a sign that says "wait to be seated", but hostess in sight, waited just under 5 mins, got to table and waited a long time before even being greeted after several severs walk pass, and not one acknowledgment. Afternoon moments of growing agitation i left.I got to the restaurant in the hotel are 10:38 p.m. 11:12 p.m. i left with no food, no drink no even a greeting of any kind.

Great half sandwich for lunch - reasonable price

By 200nightsontheroad |

I recommend the High Velocity sandwich - delicious. You can get half which was still more food than I could eat at one sitting. Great lunch offerings - fast, friendly service.

Not Much Better Than Average

By Mkola4 |

Ate here while staying at the hotel two weeks ago. I was a little nervous when we walked in and some people I knew had just finished eating and had quite a bit of food left on their plates. The replied that the food was 'too salty'. I ordered basic with the pulled pork sandwich. Food and service were not much better than average.

Quick delicious lunch

By Jon S |

Had a quick delicious lunch. Service was fast. I really enjoyed the caesar salad and salmon - the fish was cooked perfectly. Price was a little high, but for business travel it was not unreasonable.

Great location; great restaurant

By chocolate3794 |

We have eaten here several times; this is our go-to restaurant whenever we stay at the Marriott or the Hilton! Service is always great; food is great as well!

OK place for an expensive bite in the hotel

By Judith A |

Needed to eat lunch while at a conference so went here. Service OK food expensive for what you get but convenient. Choices OK but high priced.

Good Food

By Unleashed54 |

My co-worker and I ate there and the food was awesome. A very relaxed atmosphere with friendly servers.

Nice staff

By Kabukijuul |

Ate here with two kids. Food was good. My kids loved the nuggets. The chef came out to personally say hello and then comped my kids some cake (which was great!).

Good place if you don't want to leave the hotel

By dizzneegirl |

Had a late dinner here one night and overall it was good. The service was good and atmosphere was nice.

Highly Recommend!

By Janelle Brown |

My mother and I stayed at the Marriott Marquis and decided to try this place out for dinner. The hostess was very nice. I didn’t catch her name but she had twist in her hair. Once we got seated it did take the waitress awhile to come to us but once she did she was nice! The food and drinks were both really good! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Sports Bar on steroids

By Dina H |

This sports bar is huge but well sectioned off. The food is average but the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Not a great spot for kids when it's busy but go early and get the children in and out.

Ok bar for hotel food

By helen h |

Lunch offerings are good and not prices not too bad for a bar hotel. Plenty of seating and friendly staff. Alcohol prices were reasonable for a big hotel

Sports TV bar average burgers and such but the only place in GIANT hotel to eat !! Incredible !!

By jameseLexington_Ky |

This is the only place to eat in this GIGANTIC hotel. The other hotel restaurant is an outrageously expensive place named " Sear " also off the main lobby. Sear takes up an enormous amount of square footage and nobody is in the place due to the prices . This space could be put to so much better use as a casual restaurant with a decent menu. High Velocity is a sad looking sports TV place with a menu that is basic sports bar burgers etc. Amazing that Marriott lets this go on, a huge space ( Sear ) with Morton Steak House prices and no business right on the main lobby and the lamentable High Velocity next door serving Denny's food at twice the price but busy because there is no alternative and venturing outside after dark may be your last meal. Google " is it safe to wander around outside the Marquis after dark ? " The only reason to come in the Marquis its to marvel at the architecture which is incredible.

Sketchy tip practices

By Sightsee323913 |

Good food. We come here every AmericasMart. Bottom line . We got bill. It had a 18 percent service charge. I asked waitress if that was tip. She said no that it was a charge restaurant charges that was not a tip. I paid 15 percent tip anyway on top of service charge. Asked hostess about it on the way out. She said that what waitress told me was incorrect . She got the waitress to come and explain to me . She said she was sorry she was mistaken . Did not seem believable . I told her to just keep the 33 percent tip. Two stars because food was pretty good as usual . Also. Confusion was compounded by a blank left on ticket for tip to be added . This is shady practice at best .

Grumpy staff, sad food

By katarinab885 |

Don't know what they are doing in there but the staff are miserable. The entire vibe is miserable. The chairs and tables are cheap and nasty, the food was borderline not edible. We ate there three times and regretted it each time.

Walk To a Nearby Restaurant if Weather Permits

By FeedMe_2010 |

I was really disappointed in this restaurant. There was a wait when I arrived so I opted to have a beverage at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant despite how busy that she was. The hostess sat me about 10 minutes later. The reason for my poor review is that I waited for 45 minutes before I flagged someone down to take my dinner order. Two servers looked directly at me and then quickly turned away. In addition, one of the wait persons attended to two tables within 5 feet of where I sat. I had the menu laying on the table that the hostess provided to me. I ordered a medium rare Marriott burger that came out rare. The waitress never stopped by to see how my burger was nor did she ask if I would like another beverage. I ended up walking back to the bar to order a second one. I don't recommend eating at this restaurant.

Good place to eat.

By Kathy R |

We ate here four nights, Food is good, always hot, A little pricey but worth it, they give large portions for the money. Philly cheese was good., Chicken tenders were good, Nachos were great. Hamburgers were excellent. No complaints on this restaurant. Service was good.

The food was ok at the High Velocity

By nnewk1 |

We had lunch at the High Velocity. The atmosphere was good. There was a wait to be seated even though the placed was not crowded. The food was slow coming. The food was just ok. Nothing extraordinary.

Food should be better for the price

By globaltrekster |

I visited on 4-1-18, which was Easter, so it was not busy. I ordered the philly cheese steak, which was good. The fries were tasteless. For the price, it should have been better. Staff were great.

Not worth the prices

By Sarah M |

First nite at the hotel looking for some good, quick food and this is in the hotel which meant we didn't have to walk around an unknown city in the dark. I ordered a Swiss and mushroom burger, medium well with fries and a Sprite; Regina ordered the sliders with fries and a cherry coke. Well, the burgers were tasteless, no seasoning at all and the slice of red onion completely overpowered the sweet caramelized onions. Regina's wasn't any better. That meal with tip was about $45. Then we tried it again for lunch. They have a selection of 10 items for $10 each so I ordered the fish and chips and Regina ordered the chopped beef in peach sauce, both came with fries. I received 4 small pieces of fresh and while they were hot and juicy the breading was not crunchy but Regina's sandwich was tasty. Overall, overpriced in my opinion and the cook needs to season the meat.

Good burgers, A bit too noisy for conversation

By pattilca |

Good restaurant located within the Marriott. The burgers, brisket and tater tots were very good. The restaurant is a bit too noisy for comfortable conversation. The service was a bit hit or miss.

Good beer but mind the spirits!

By ANDY K |

Situated inside the Marriott be careful what you order as beer is reasonably priced and well-kept and I had a very good Sweetheart IPA. However my wife's Remy Martin brandy was $24 ! The atmosphere is only ok but there are sports on the tv.

Great Shrimp Tacos!

By ashley m |

Stayed at hotel for a conference and had dinner the night before. Ordered the shrimp tacos, they were delicious. Had two margaritas that were delicious but cost more than the rest of my meal.

Good food

By pinturicchio1 |

The food and services were good. You pay the location inside the Marriott Marquis. If you do not want to venture outside and ready to pay more, it is a good choice.

Several stops here

By Kevin W |

Since I was staying in the Marriott Marquis I stopped in here several time during my stay. Good selection of craft beer on tap. Service was fast and easy. Large wrap around bar if you like bar seating and plenty of TVs for game viewing. Good higher end bar food and lots of options. Easy place to enjoy.

Poor Customer Service and Very overpriced Food

By DawsBoss |

I ate at this Restaurant 2 times and both were very sub par experiences. The customer service was awful both times. My host had to take our drink order and then 15 minutes later the food order and the place wasn't even busy. The food also was not worth the prices they charged. The second time I ate here my order was messed up and they did nothing to fix it or discount my bill. Needless to say after 2 awful experiences I will never set foot in this establishment again unless they have a major overhaul. My customers also had such a poor experience and ended up eating at another place because they barely touched their meal here.

Good/ Bad experience

By Erica W |

I went to the bar and asked for two sodas Togo and got charged 10.05 cent I believe . I work for the Marriott and I thought Marriott take care of Marriott. The lady at the bar Nichelle Jones was not nice at all. The manager Hailey Baver and hostess’s Trinity Harris saved the night. They were so nice and pleasant. I definitely have to make sure I visit them again when I come back Atlanta Side. The bartender Nichelle Jones does not have Marriott hospitality. I have been working with Marriott over 15 years, that’s not the type of behavior we model . Again thanks to the ladies for making my night better.

Our last night in town

By RSpicer |

We normally avoid the hotel restaurants because of the price gouging, but there was a torrential rainstorm without any sign of letting up. So we decided to go to High Velocity. We were seated as a party of 9 right away. The server took our orders for both drinks and food and then went to place the orders. We were getting a little worried that the drinks hadn't come, thinking everything would come at once. But we finally got our drinks. Most of us ordered the Velocity hamberger, and I think we were all pleased with it. Several people commented on how good the fries were. The server was very good, but maybe a little over worked.

Friendly but sloooowwww service, food served cold

By Suzan H |

Very friendly people work here but apparently not enough of them. It took us 45 minutes to get our food today and the hot sandwich was cold, but no one came to inquire about it - -and honestly, we did not have time to send it back and wait... In the hotel for a conference but we will not be going back here.

regular food

By Rosa B |

Busy staff but food is like you would prepare or better. Decent serving and hot when it arrives. Order basic dish.

Noah took great care of us!

By Dan K |

We didn't want anything special. DragonCon was wrapping up, the food trucks had pulled out, Peachtree Center was shutting down, but we had finished our last shift and didn't want to go too far. I expected the staff to be as shell-shocked after five or six days of con as we were, but Noah took great care of us. We didn't order anything too special, just the pulled pork for her and the chicken tenders for me. He was fast on the refills and quite chatty about what he'd seen- this was his first Dragon. Oh, and churros for dessert is always a good move.

Could have easily been better

By Tommy S |

Was in Atlanta for a conference and stayed at the Marriott Marquis. This is there sports bar/grill inside the hotel. My wife and I ordered lunch, she had the Marquis Kale salad with chicken and I had the grilled shrimp tacos. Hers was fine, mine came to the table cold. Good flavor but literally cold. The fries however were hot and tasty. I hope at this price point we experienced an isolated event.

Good food for hotel restaurant

By Andy R |

I have eaten a few times at High Velocity. He food is good and filling. The drink menu is pretty typical and priced well. Good place to stop once back at the hotel.

Try the sliders

By Drew I |

I had a great meal here and the service was very good too. I ordered the sliders and had one of each type. They were delicious. They have a deconstructed s'mores dessert that was amazing. It's a must.

Limited choices, high prices

By EileenSully |

The menu was limited & expensive and our food took forever to arrive. Our waitress, Nisa, was excellent!

Sports bar. Noisy.

By Sturgeonslawyer |

I ate here as Hobson's choice, having come in late on a Thursday night, and was pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good, but the atmosphere is, well, sports bar. Noisy. The service was also questionable.

Cool place

By Natassia A |

Beautiful place, nice atmosphere, good vibes, good fresh food, portions are good, not cheap- but worth it. Service a bit slow due to it being so busy.

No No No

By Joe T |

The fact that this place was a "sports bar" was fine with us. We had driven from Raleigh and just wanted comfort food. The menu wasn't bad, just expensive. The place was dead. I did not look like any sports bar I have ever visited other than the number of TV's. The lighting is too bright and the tables are too modern and antiseptic. I love the sports bar at the Gateway Marriott near the airport. This sucked in comparison. Our server, though friendly, was so-so.

Great option if its late or you don't want to leave hotel

By Dave M |

Had some great service there this week while entertaining customers. Came down for a late snack. Service was great at the bar, someone checking on you every couple minutes. Food was good and so were the cocktails. Would recommend if you are staying there!

Pretty Good!

By amars662 |

High Velocity is in the Atlanta Marriott Marquis (where we stayed) and we ended up eating there 3 times during our stay. On the first visit, I had the Philly cheesesteak. It was good, but the meat seemed more like roast beef than steak. The second visit, I ordered the chicken quesadillas. They were okay, but nothing to write home about. They have an oreo cheesecake, which is quite interesting. We liked it so much that went went back a third time just to have desert. Overall, the restaurant good and the prices was decent.

Super expensive - watch for hidden ingredients

By MelissaClaire93 |

We came here when we had a gap while at Dragon Con. We got 2 alcoholic drinks (very small drinks), an appetizer, and split a main dish. They had a really cute themed menu for dragon con which was nice. Even with the splitting our bill was still over $70 which was a little ridiculous for what we ordered (deviled eggs and Mac and cheese). Also be cautious - we ordered a Mac and cheese dish that had a cute name (as most of the con themed dishes did) and just claimed to have a “special cheese sauce”. Turns out the dish had crab in it. I rechecked the menu and it never really EXPLICITLY said it contained crab meat besides the themed name which - maybe I’m just ignorant but I thought was just a cute thing. I hate crab so I didn’t even really like our $25 Mac and cheese - regardless just beware because if I had had a shellfish allergy that could have been dangerous that it wasn’t stated on the menu. Other than that the drinks were good and the food wasn’t bad but it was way too expensive.

Solid Hotel Restaurant

By STL Foodie |

Good menu with something for everyone. Kids’ menu offered as well. Prices are high, but inline for a hotel restaurant. Atmosphere is great. Service is slow, but they were slammed.

Good Food.

By Robert F |

This is a pretty good restaurant inside the Marriott Marquise Hotel. It's a noisy sports bar, so not the best for conversation. Good beer selection though.

One of our Favorites

By Carol |

One of my favorite places downtown, the shrimp tacos and chicken quesadilla are awesome. Mozzarella sticks are usually pretty good. Salads are also very tasty. It's a great place for lunch or dinner, and a great place for having a drink with friends.

Typical Bar food

By Jeanne H |

The service was fast and friendly, but if you're looking for fine dining, this isn't it. The food was mostly fried. I would consider this place good for a quick drink and a bar snack, not for dinner.

Good quick fare

By Travelcritic78 |

Just dashed in for a bit of sustenance. The waiter understood I was in a hurry and helped. French onion soup and Cesar salad were great for a weary traveler

Good beer selection; food below par.

By 2dman |

This bar has a fairly good beer selection, but I found the food to be just OK. I had a turkey sandwich and it was on a hoagie roll. I t was pretty dry. Also ordered the wings and they were somewhat overcooked.

Loud, but good food

By Donnaj13 |

This is a sports bar with 500 TVs. (Jk). It is loud. Fun place to go but not for business. My favorite food was the shrimp tacos. I don't know if it was the sauce( it was!), but found myself licking my fingers. Service was fast. One of 2 restaurants available in the Marquis.

Don't do take out. Probably ok for eat in.

By lesliecjenkins |

Steak was ok. Supposed to get fries and onion rings but only got plain fries. To go order, so very cheap plastic wear. Very hard to eat steak. In a box so bot easy to cut steak. Took wY to long to get food. Ordered beer anticipation of waiting but went through that and still waiting.

Sports bar?

By Darlene C |

This place is no more a sports bar then I am a bikini model. 20 tv's on the walls doesn't qualify it as a sports bar... it's a restaurant with tv's playing sports channels.. no sports memorabilia, no reference to sports in the titles of the dishes or cocktails.. just don't get to sports bar vibe.. yes they serve pub good but the atmosphere is not that of a sports bar.. now, with all that out of the way, the food was good. Hubby & I shared the pretzel!!! It's massive... I had the brisket and hubby had the ribs. He was very pleased with the ribs and my brisket was also tasty. High on the price side for pub food...

Excellent spot to watch football

By 07Yankees07 |

I am not usually a fan of hotel bars, this one exceeded my expectations. I was in Atlanta for the weekend to attend a wedding and needed someplace to watch college games on Saturday and NFL on Sunday. High Velocity was a good choice, plenty of TV's, friendly service (Thanks Shannon!) and good food. We had a rather large group and the staff was very accommodating. Pulling tables together, putting the college games we wanted on the TV's for us. For NFL Sunday they have each TV clearly marked with which game they are showing. Food was good Lots of choices. I had a turkey melt on the first visit and a veggie burger the second. Both delicious.

Great ambience - terrific food!

By Denise |

Wow, what a great hamburger I had there! Also ordered the spinach artichoke dip and that was yummy, too. Service was a little slow, but the delicious food made up for it.

Delicious Cuisine vs. Better Service...Who Wins?!

By Gay-linn |

Attending a conference even when you in your home city can be rewarding when you reside in the host hotel. With a moment to relax, the High Velocity establishment was a welcoming site after a long day of events. Always wanting to start positive, the chili is great! The cup was extremely tasty and fulfilling. Though I was hungry, I would have never been able to complete a bowl. Kudos on the recipe and the portion! My disappointment was the service. The server was good, but the back area near all the televisions additional servers were needed, especially on a Saturday night. Just getting a simple glass of water became epic. Even though the cuisine was excellent, the service masked the establishment as average.

Good Hotel Spot

By Tim S. |

Good spot to get a quick bite or a drink. Located inside a hotel, so it isn’t anything special, but is exceptionally convenient. Cool decor as well.

The most amazing GF fish sandwich!

By Feisqueen |

This place was a wonderful surprise. Yes, it's overpriced hotel food, but it is also delicious! I ordered a GF fish sandwich - our waitress was able to answer all my questions and make suggestions about the meal. The menu lists which items they can make "gluten friendly" - gotta love our 'cover yer butt' legalistic society - a welcome releif after dining next door at the Hilton. The sandwich came breaded, on lovely sesame seed bread. I had to ask the waitress if the sandwich was the right one it looked so much like a "regular" fish sandwich! It was so tasty I asked again, making double sure it was GF! The waitress laughed and said it happens all the time. Delicious!

Great Food, but Poor Service

By FDinger |

First the good, the food at High Velocity was great. We actually went twice during our stay at the Marriott Marquis. My son had two different burgers, both of which he loved. My daughter had a large pretzel with great cheese sauce and really awesome mustard. I had a salad with chicken that was fresh and flavorful. We also had the very yummy nacho dessert. Now the bad--the poor service. We just got food to go on our first visit. After giving the bartender our order and paying, we sat at a table to wait. The place is big and was less than 10 percent full. The hostess came over and told us we could not sit at a table and had to stand at the bar. We waited at the bar for a while, then I noticed a server bringing out what I assumed was our order. I tried to get her attention but she ignored me. Another patron even shrugged his shoulders, as if he didn't know how she didn't see us. She placed the order behind the bar and left. I tried to get the bartenders' attention, but they both ignored me and moved off to the other side. It was crazy. My kids were calling me the Invisible Man. I finally reached over the bar, confirmed by the slip that it was my order and just took it. On our second visit, the waitress was nice, but disappeared for very long periods. Again, the place was nearly empty. We had finished our meal, and we wanted to play pool, AND I wanted another beer, but there was just no server to be found. We could have easily just left. I finally just put a note on the table that we were in the pool room whenever she wanted to bring the bill.

Great spot to watch sports, have drinks and bar food.

By lovethesky |

Great service, drinks, and bar food! High Velocity is located in the Marriott Marquis Hotel. We really enjoyed watching the football games, snacking on the spinach artichoke dip and chips, and enjoying yummy margaritas. Everyone was friendly and professional. Thank you!

Typical sports bar type fare

By Alex T |

Busy restaurant/bar in the Marquis. Is open late, so gets busier of an evening. Food and drink is pretty standard. I did love the chicken tenders and fries! The bar staff are great

Excellent Service!

By jaybrown90 |

Vincent and Rodcliff were phenomenal bartenders! They have exceptional customer service! Additionally, the food here is great!

Great food

By nightingale725 |

Went here for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed. I had shrimp tacos and southwest quesadillas and would definitely recommend both. The restaurant is in a beautiful hotel.

An average place for a quick bite

By SrvDutta |

I had a quick lunch at High Velocity while attending a conference at Atlanta Marquis. The portions are small and expectedly the prices are high. I tried the Rigatoni Pasta and relished the subtle taste. The perfectly roasted tomatoes and mushrooms in the light cream sauce with a tinge of garlic and white wine made for a very delicious pasta. Thankfully I was not very hungry and also was running short on time, hence the smaller portion worked to my advantage. My colleagues tried burgers from the 10 for $10 menu. Every Monday to Friday between 11 AM - 2 PM, they serve half portions of 10 of their menu items for 10 bucks each. I was told that the Velocity Sandwich tasted somewhat better than the average turkey and ham sandwich found in a sports bar. For 10 bucks, the sandwich and a side of fries turned out to be a pretty good value for money. During our lunch, the place was only moderately busy, but the serving times and the service, in general, could have been better. We didn't get water refills and my colleague never received the extra tissue she requested.

Overpriced and cold

By Phil D |

Really it's just a hotel bar. That should actually be enough to say! However some hotel bars do manage to create some sort of atmosphere... this one definitely does not.

Great food for a hotel restaurant!

By KiteGirl78 |

I ate here twice during a conference, and the food and service were good both times. The burger was good and the salmon was excellent.

Good pkace

By havingfuntraveling |

Went for a late dinner Sunday night. Sat at the bar, service was good, could have been a tad better, but they were busy for a Sunday night. We spilt wine and sliders. The sliders were good. Prices a little high, but expected for a convention center hotel. Have fun

Above and Beyond

By Dan D |

Went there for lunch with my son. There was a mix up with our order and they went above and beyond to make it right. The food was good and the service was excellent. Jamal was an excellent server!

Better than reviews

By tanagogo1 |

The Sampler is a good choice for sharing if you need a hit of hot salty fried food. Served with a nice cold beer of your choice and they have lots on offer.

Many choices

By Elizabeth P |

The menu has many choices from soup, salad to small plates, sandwiches and meals. The wait staff was helpful in identifying a gluten free meal for me that was excellent.

HUGE PRETZEL!!!

By Linda B |

We had a great server and yummy meal. We got the XL pretzel for appetizer and that is REALLY big. Good cheese sauce with it. I would recommend this restaurant. Moderately priced for hotel eatery.

Great food, service is lacking!

By Brandy H |

This is a good lunch or dinner spot, with really good food to be a hotel restaurant. Just make sure you have plenty of time to spend as the service leaves much to be desired. Food is American, burgers, sandwiches, salads. They have a great express lunch option too, but the last time we were there we waited twenty minutes and never received a greeting from a server, once I alerted the hostess another 10 minutes passed, and still no one came by. This was a slow day, maybe 10 other patrons in the whole restaurant. Unfortunately I won't be able to go back because I do not have the time to wait. It's a shame!

Decent food, convenient while at conference in hotel

By Cecilia O |

I ate here twice while attending a conference at the Marriott Marquis. High Velocity offered a conference rate menu ($10 for a limited list of entrees, including side and drink) which was really convenient. The food was pretty good for the price, and plenty of it. I had the Half Velocity sandwich with fries and a Coke on one day for lunch and a salad with a cup of soup (which was extra) the next day. You really can't beat that price for decent food. The servers were nice, and it didn't take too long for our food. The space is convenient for small groups (maybe up to 6 people) to enjoy a meal together, especially during the conference lunch break. I would eat here again, especially at the conference menu rate.

Good Food

Upon arrival to hotel,I was ready for lunch.Monday through Friday they have specials.I had the fish and chips, very tasty and great wait staff.

Not enough help

By Mark F |

Good luck getting a drink in here without waiting for what seems like an eternity. One or two bartenders for a huge bar. If you try to flag one down when they aren't quite ready to acknowledge you, be prepared for a dose of attitude. Ditto with requesting your check.Don't even think about asking to change the TV station. Both of these guys seemed overworked and stressed out. Unfotunately, they conveyed that to the customer. Must be OK when you have a captive clientele in a hotel that you don't care how you treat the customer. Choose the Pulse bar in the atrium if it is open. The service and staff there is much nicer.

What a crew

By RoosterB |

6 days in Atlanta at the Marques Marriott. Had a great time every night being spoiled by the whole staff. Rodcliff, Kevin, Zach all under the watchful eye of Delante. They made our trip.

Inventive Cocktails

By Alex |

I recently stopped into High Velocity while visiting the Marriott Marquis. I asked the bar tender for a suggestion for a local drink. He made me a peach martini that tasted like I just bit into a juicy peach. I thanked him for the recommendation and tipped him well.

Friendly Service and Food Average

By OU812Cin1 |

The food wasn't too bad I had nachos one night which were packed with cheese - could've used a little more chicken, but overall weren't too bad. On another night I had the rib-eye - standard grissle steak but not bad otherwise. The room service in this hotel is exceptional - the best sweet potato fries I've had and an amazing burger.

Great sports bar

By vosbrownjr |

We enjoyed amazing food and football. The servings were large and more than enough to share. We'd visit this restaurant again.

late night eats

By Michele F |

I was in Atlanta for a conference. I arrived late at night hungry and didn't want to leave my hotel. I ate at the restaurant in the Marriott Marquis Hotel. Had a fish sandwich with fries. The fish was not a typical fish patty, but was a delicious piece of grouper on a potato roll. Good French fries. But most of all, my waitress was terrific. The restaurant surpasses most of those found in hotels.

Sports bar but with fewer and smaller TVs and one pool table

By NCR_Flyer |

As a sports bar in the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, I think this could be a little better. I suggest more and bigger TVs and having more than one pool table. Bar selection, including beers on draft, was good. Service was polite but a little unorganized. Considering there was a good size crowd and little to no lines for drinks, this was probably just a short-lived bout of confusion. Service was knowledgeable too, so another plus there

Cheese Nachos

By hermes2009 |

First of all I would just like to say that Kylie was great. I wish every member of staff of a restaurant was as friendly and dedicated as Kylie. The Cheese nachos were probably the best nachos that I have ever had. It is over a month since I traveled and the awesomeness of those cheese nachos has stayed with me. My visit was very brief and I had wished I had tried something else, maybe next time.

Not Impressed

By Lou B |

I had a beer and a burger in this sports restaurant located inside the Marriot Marquis. Was really not impressed at all with the quality of the food and service. It is simply another option of many found in any other city.

Standard but good hotel sports bar type restaurant. Menu consists of bar food, salads, sandwiches and some plated entrees. Pleasant, courteous service, good selection of wines and beers. Lots of TVs throughout the space.

Chef Curtis Rolled Out The Red Carpet

By Spkr4life |

This place is absolutely awesome. Service can be a tad slow when completely full but the team does a great job staying on top of everything. The real highlight was meeting Chef Curtis who has a number of items on the menu boasting his name. Can't wait to return.

Okay at best

By Neal J |

We were in town for a convention, staying at the hotel. We didn't want to go outside so we are here based on the rating. Three stars is very fair for what we experienced. We ordered the nachos with pulled pork. While it was enough food for the two of us, they came out lukewarm. We had to ask for plates and silverware. While they tasted good, the staffing issues got in the way. We had to ask for the table to be wiped down. Our server was friendly and attentive, but she had to cover more tables than it is good for great service

Food was good but very expensive

By Pbthompson3168 |

We had 3 burgers and our bill was almost $100. Food was very good but that's a lot to pay for a burger.

Great Staff!

By Pender1978 |

I can't believe I didn't send this at the time. Great staff! Each and every staff member is friendly, remembers your name, what you drink and makes you feel at home.

Good food, good service

By ciennalexa |

No long wait. Burger was good perfectly matched with their soup of the day. Will recommend this place :)

Nice Sports Bar

By Redkross1 |

I had the Marriott Burger which was very good. Was expecting the same Menu as the High Velocity in Orlando but this location were missing a few items. Wish they had my favorite Smoked Wings but the overall service was Great. There are several TV's so you are able to watch different sporting events.

Decent food, poor service

By Jan L |

Attending a conference and went to the restaurant for lunch since it was conveniently located in the Marriott. It has a sports bar feel to it but diverse menu options. My colleague and I sat at the bar and were served by "ET". I had to ask his name since the tag was so faded and he seemed very disinterested the moment we sat down. We ordered water and food. Food came out randomly among the people at the bar. I got my shrimp tacos early and my colleague waited another 10 or more minutes for her well done burger. We had to ask ET about the food rather than being proactive and noticing I had my food and she didn't. When we asked, he didn't seem interested anyway. Eventually it showed up. Tacos tasted good but my first and last bite was the tortilla because the shrimp and filling weren't much. My colleague said her burger was good and a decent size. There are a lot of food options in close proximity so not sure I'd go back again considering the poor service. Perhaps you can find someone else besides ET

Ok Hotel Restaurant

By Travel Moniker |

We went for a quick lunch bite. The restaurant was busy due to a convention in the hotel. We were seated promptly. The waitress was pleasant. She took our order and off she went. The bus boy was available to fill our iced teas. Nice service but everyone appeared rushed. I had the chopped beef sandwich. It was ok. A lot of bread and not a lot of beef. The beef was tasty. My colleague had a chicken caesar salad. Appeared properly dressed -- he liked it. Overall, ok restaurant for a hotel lobby. Not a destination. Total cost = $21.70

Great hotel sports bar

By wbaCoventry |

Visited with my partner in June for a four night stay, being an avid football (soccer - the real thing!!) fan I was delighted to find this in my hotel. Soccer from the Euros was on along with baseball, basketball motor racing and others. Sports fan heaven! No top of this there was an excellent selection of draft /craft beers, local and national/international brands and a team of bar staff that were second to none. The bar food menu was excellent and the Shrimp tacos to die for, all in all a great experience.

Convenient location to watch sports and enjoy good food

By Terps92 |

This restaurant is perfectly located in the Marriott Marquis and also is conveniently close to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta via the sky walk. I am not sure I would come here if I wasn't staying in one of these two hotels. The service was very good and attentive all around. They were quick to change the TV to the channel I requested. They have TV's all along the walls and the bar and is fantastic for watching sports. They probably have approximately 40 TV's. They have a nice selection of beers and a full bar. They do have a side private room with a TV and pool table. We had burgers, buffalo wings, tater tots and quesadillas. The wings and quesadillas were very good. The burgers were tasty as well. The prices were slightly on the pricey side, but it is a restaurant in a nice hotel so it was expected. I really enjoyed the restaurant and would eat and have drinks here again.

Average food, Good service

By Theo Sxm |

Located in Marriot Marquis, the big advantage is that the restaurant closes very late, very nice when you do your check in late. The food is not excellent but the service very nice. Cafeteria atmosphere with a lot of tv to watch sport. Ideal in family and friend.

Fun Sports Bar

By FidelmaMcMorrow |

Ate there twice and staff is super nice. Had the Pulled Pork and the pasta and was very good. Enjoyed the extensive beer list.

Good hotel, sports bar

By ashgriffy4 |

Had lunch and dinner here while staying in the Marriott Marquis. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food was good. Decent drink selection. Lots of televisions. Big bar.

Slow service and very mediocre food

By Kapoguy |

I grabbed a side salad and cup of fruit late at night and the food was not very good. The green melon was so unripe that it was hard as a rock and not edible. The service was very slow as well. I will not return to this restaurant.

One of the best Ribyes. I've had.

By Sabrina H |

Wish I had took a picture before I ate half of it. Very tender and perfect flavor. I ordered mine medium rare and had a salad instead of fried.

Amazing service by Tina

By Chris9010 |

Excellent food and drinks, Tina was so efficient and helpful. Extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Great customer service will definitely return.

Spacious layout, lunch good food & price

By Mary L |

Many TV's turned to a variety of channels at lunch. Had the Velocity from the lunch menu (10 to choose from priced at $10) and it was a generously portioned sandwich. Plenty of room to navigate between tables which is helpful for those with children or someone with a walker. Good service.

Break from Cheer

By Renaee |

Had a nice time relaxing after a day of cheering. They were extremely busy so the wait was long. Bartenders were great!

Missing My Old Favorites

By R2LS4 |

I have to say that the recent changes to the High Velocity menu have been, in my opinion, a step backwards. Gone are the worlds best cheese sticks - gone are the always wonderful Buffalo Chicken Sliders. While the Nacho's were great for soaking up the late night drinks I miss my favorites.

Good dining in the Marriott Marquis

By 2leconte |

They were a little slow at getting our food there. And when the did they screwed it up. I had to eat mine with my wife. When hers finally got there it was good. I felt like they were slow to make us drink more alcohol. Because the kept asking.

Lunch

By Melissa M |

Lunch menu is limited. Service is slow, prices are high. Food was average, tuna melt was cold and lintel soup was so-so.

Ideal for a quick bite whilst based in the Marriot Hotel

By Alan |

Group of three of staying in the hotel for a conference and used this restaurant as couldn't get more convenient. Service was great as was the food - no complaints :-)

TVs out of order

By P C |

Two 42" monitors at the bar were out of order. Also a 65" TV in the dining area was not working. This is unacceptable for an upscale establishment.

Great football Saturday stop

By j916802 |

Stopped into the High Velocity to catch some lunch and football, and were not disappointed. SO many tv's and pretty great food - we had salads, burgers and sandwiches and all were great. Nice beer selection and friendly staff.

Lunch

By dryogendras2015 |

A nice place to drink, eat and relax with sports news or channels. Slightly costly but good service. The lights with the bottles of alcohol gives a view like rainbow. Sandwiches are good.

Great meals as always!!

By B L |

You would never think a sports bar has the best food but this one does. I tried to eat elsewhere one night of my stay and I was disappointed. I was back at High Velocity the next night. Last trip we raved at how good the food was and ate here multiple times during our conference. When I am staying at the connecting hotels for conferences, this will remain my go to spot for dinner and drinks. I think this is my second review in two years so they are consistently good.

Good food and service

By Randy M |

In ATL on business and staying at the Marriott. Arrived late and decided to eat dinner in the hotel vs going out. Tried High Velocity and turned out great. Good food and good service after a long day on the road.

Mediocre Salad

By Dennis E |

I had the quesadilla salad which was just so-so. I won't get it again. However, I really like the atmosphere of this place. It is less expensive than Sear which is next door, and has a pretty busy evening crowd. I've seen it super crowded during evening and happy hour. We normally take clients to lunch next door, and since it was just me and a work colleague we wanted a change. Not much of a lunch crowd early on a Wednesday, so no waiting this early in the day. We got in and out quickly.

OK

By Kelton |

Was charged two different prices for the same drink two nights in a row? Seemed off. But prices were fair for a resort/convention hotel. ($10-14)

High Velocity High Prices

By charleslambert392 |

We just spent $72 for a burger, chicken sandwich, quesadilla and one bottle of beer. The food was hot and well prepared, served quickly and had good service. For the price I would have expected sauce or mayo on my chicken or on the side. I had to ask for it.

Great service

By bargin gal |

We had a quick bite for dinner here the night of our arrival. We wanted to catch up on a football game we were missing and we couldn't have chosen a better place. There must have been 15 large TVs with all major games playing. The food was good and super fast. Our server was the highlight of the evening, she was super chatty with us and we enjoyed her company.

Excellent Marriott Burger and Onion Soup; Great Service

By #EnjoyingRetirement |

Enjoyed an awesome dinner tonight at High Velocity, located in the Marriott Marquis Hotel. I entered the restaurant and took a seat at the bar, waited a couple of minutes before the bartender realized that I was there. I asked for the beer options and she placed the menu in front of me. Ordered a Blue Moon and she inquired if I wanted the tall one which I said, yes. She then asked if I wanted to order food. I ordered the Classic Onion Soup and a Marriott Burger. Both popular menu items at Marriott Hotels for over 40 some years. She inquired if I wanted to utilize a credit card or charge to my room. Once she knew my name she utilized my last name throughout the experience. She was very friendly and hospitable. Found out her name was Sherise. I noted that all of the bartenders were very friendly and hospitable with their customers. Management should commend Sherise for her excellent service. My Onion Soup was served after a short wait. The soup was hot, full of onions and aa very rich and deep broth. The cheese was nicely melted and a generous portion of cheese. It was a little salty and the Chef should insure he is tasting to insure the soup isn't reducing as it sits in the warmer. All in all, very good. My Marriott Burger was cooked to perfection and as ordered, medium rare. The bun was fresh and good, although it would have been nice it had been buttered grilled and not just dry. Fries were seasoned and hot. Great experience and I look forward to dining again here the next time I visit Atlanta.

Meh.....

By JulesH2011 |

There was plenty of staff on hand, so I am not sure why the service was so mediocre. The bartenders would not make eye contact with you, and would not check on you either. We kind of felt like we were a bother during an off hour.

Sketchy Tip Practice, Insanely Slow Service

By VanLoad39 |

Stopped here with a group of friends traveling on business for a late evening meal and get together. Visit started out okay. Food was pretty good. But after we got our food we never saw our waitress again. The waitress did not stop by one time to check or refill anyone’s drink. Then to add to that, we had to wait for our checks for a very long time after everyone was done eating. Then when I got my check I was charged twice for 18% gratuity. While reading other reviews here on trip advisor it appears the sketchy tipping practice is a recurrent theme and I was a statistic. I asked the waitress to correct my check which delayed our departure even further. Save yourself the agony and just pass on this place.

Good food

By Terry C |

I had the brisket sandwich and it was good. However took over 30 minutes for food to arrive for lunch! Waitress was pleasant and continued to check on us and apologized for the food delay. I would eat there again just hope the cook is a bit faster next time.

Slow Service

By Eileen D |

Understaffed for 2 huge conventions at the hotel. Waitress was very polite and lovely but she was working basically alone. Food was not that great for the price.

Just okay!

By T B |

Met friends and went here to watch the football game while we ate. Had a wonderful visit with old friends but can't say that I was impressed with High Velocity. No one at the front when we arrived and we waited several minutes. Gal who sat us was less than helpful. We asked if we could get the game changed to the one we wanted to watch and she said she'd get management. Two more requests later and they changed it. Food was meh. "Hot" wings were not at all and everything else was just so-so.

Huge Portions!

By Amy T |

Came here for drinks and dinner. Drinks are good, but overpriced. The food is great and huge portions! I had to take 1/2 of mine with me to go! I ordered the nachos and they were great and I would recommend them.

Great Food

By dgordon2016 |

Ate here for the first time. Had a business meeting at lunch. Everyone liked their meal. The drinks were good as well. The place was quite for lunch but busy after work. The service was very good.

Good spot to watch the game and have a pint

By Matthew P |

The bar staff are exceptional! Very welcoming and always attending to the customers needs. Many different craft beer on tap and spirits to choose from. The food was average and nothing to really write home about. Would recommend this place to watch a game and have a pint with friends/colleages.

Drinks and a Nosh

By Barbara K |

While at DragonCon stepped in for drinks and nachos. We had chicken on the nachos and it was very generous and very tasty.

When the company is more important than where you are....

By rosemary08 |

And then you're blown away. Great venue, scene, and fun time at chef's bar... Would take anyone here from anyplace - business associate to my family (well, most of them). Not so hard to impress New Yorkers sometimes.

Ms. Was totally disappointed

By Amber D |

I had dinner here on a not busy night. The service was horrible it took more than 10 min to get bbq sauce and when it came it was refrigerator cold. I sat for another 10 min after I was done waiting on my check, I could have walked out they paid such little attention to me. And the food was not worth the cost.

Great first visit

By Christine D |

Two of the three nights of our trip we ate in house at High Velocity. The black & blue burger was great with the sweet potato fries. The fish sandwich was superb, but the tartar sauce could have been better. Drink prices were a bit of a sticker shock though average for the big city. The second time in was not as good. Avocados on the shrimp tacos were hard and there was not a lot to them. The fish sandwich was not as exciting as the first time. Service was good and friendly. Nice atmosphere for a hotel restaurant.

Pleasantly surprised

By Retired TN Grammie |

My friend and I wanted a salad did not want to get dress up and go out. So we thought we give this restaurant a try. It’s was Great!! It was my Bday so our waitress gave me a free piece of Oreo Cheesecake.

The Caesar salad is fabulous

By Ayo A |

Stayed at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta for a conference. Had lunch one afternoon at this restaurant and ordered the vaesar salad with grilled shrimp. It was excellent! I sat at the bar and the bartender whose name I did not get, was very courteous. The portion of the salad was perfect.

Terrible Food

By Renee B |

I ordered Nachos and a friend ordered wings. We both commented on how they must have cleaned out the frig with old food. I had stomach issues later that night. Definitely old chili and burned cheese. Wings were over fried and quite dry. We left a lot of food. We even told our waiter who never offered to fix our meals. Sad.

Good Sports Bar

By Sharon C |

The food here is good....comfort food. The cakes are excellent. The service was good and the ambiance was nice.

Fantastic Bar Crew, Drinks & Food

By Sabrina H |

I spent most of my time here when not in class. The bartenders were fun, friendly and helpful. The food was great, {blue cheese chips & this amazing pasta dish} great American Mules with Titos Vodka!!!

Great Lunch Spot

By SunshineGuzman |

The food is good and the atmosphere is great. They have superb male waiters (each visit we had a male waiter). I would recommend for lunch, we didn't make it to the evening which I'm sure offers way more energy.

Simple small order, with superb service

By DGP1111 |

Had a bit of time to kill before heading to airport for flight home, so decided to stop by (in, actually) the sports-theme bar I'd seen on numerous occasions of staying at Marriott Marquis . . . and there will certainly be more visits in the future. My needs were few, but I was greeted with a welcoming smile at the seating podium, and then again at the actual bar (Heath). Everything was organized and very clean. I was thanked for visiting, and invited back. That's pretty much all I could expect, and thus the high rating, as well as a strong recommendation for others to give it a try. Thanks, again, High Velocity!!

Expect a long wait

By ALEX P |

Nice lobby bar that is terribly understaffed. Expect an expensive drink that will take some time to get or even order if they are busy.

Enjoyed eating here

By bringse |

High Velocity more of a sports bar atmosphere. The food and drinks were very good. I had the new york strip steak as did my boyfriend and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Loud

By Carol R |

Served fairly quickly, nice menu, loud! Great for watching sports on TV. Most every game was on a screen.

Average high price bar in expensive hotel

By Bookbutter |

Nothing exciting but atmosphere was fine. Service was terrible! The female server would not write down any of our orders and would get them wrong or would forget the orders. Drinks and food took forever but we had to deal with it because nothing else was open. Would only come here if desperate to eat since everything in Atlanta closes down at 8pm.

OK at Best

By Joseph D |

Since I am staying in the Marriott and arrived on a Sunday, I decided just to grab dinner and watch the football games here. It’s a nice looking place with a big four sided bar and plenty of tables all around. The food was pretty much what you’d expect from a hotel bar, nothing great but the prices were too high. $17 for Buffalo Wings is ridiculous. I had a Grilled Chicken sandwich which again was ok, but the fries were just awful. They really tasted like cardboard. A great selection of tap beers and those were at reasonable prices $7. They has two bartenders on for a bar that serves up 30 people. Needless to say the service was slow.

Liked it!

By COO-TravelGuy |

Traveling alone, I thought I would stop in for dinner and a drink, and to watch sports. I liked this place. During my visit the bar was about 75% full, but the service was still outstanding (99% of the time I sit at the bar for best service). I had the nachos, thinking I would just eat about half of them. They were so good, I ate all of them! I would recommend.

Not Bad for a Hotel Restaurant

By knucklebusted |

For a hotel restaurant, it wasn't bad. We were tired and hungry after visiting the aquarium. We were seated, offered drinks and our order was taken quickly. We split and order if chicken fingers since it was getting late. We didn't want to eat a lot before bed.

High Velocity Drinks and Food During Stay at Marriott Atlanta Marquis

By zwicked |

The staff was great. Ashley and Lekeisha were great. There were a lot of people ordering drinks before a conference and the staff handled everyone great. Ashley gave us some tips for places to visit.

really quick service ,nice place for a quick pleasant meal

By PF P |

simple but tasty dishes, also veg burgers , soips and desserts, besides traditional steaks and burgers and salads

Good server but slow kitchen and a bit like eating at the airport.

By Dean S |

Good food, needs cleaned and more servers. Not much on atmosphere. Busy w/ many convention people. My server was, thankfully, great.

One of Dragon Con's Best!

By Jolt Studios |

I've been attending Dragon Con since 2015, and the High Velocity quickly became a great place to eat and drink, as well as take a load off from hours of walking and standing. The food is delicious, but every year they do a theme with some of their food, and I had the Upside Down burger based on Stranger Things, and it was absolutely delicious. They really lean into the geeky food theme this time of the year and I couldn't be more happy for it. The staff work hard during this time of the year, as they have to contend with lord knows how many drunken geeks, nerds, and partying cosplayers come through their doors, and they're always super helpful. So yes, while the service does get a bit stalled here and there, remember just how many people they're contending with. I'd love to come here sometime outside of Dragon Con, to see what the atmosphere is like, but for now, I'd definitely recommend it and I will be back again in 2020.

Date night

By Melissa G |

Came here for an overnight stay. Michelle was our bartender and she was fabulous. We were also helped by Ashoke. He was great too. Service was fantastic

Good food, Good service, AWESOME Pretzel!

By Michael C |

Reasonably priced. We had the pretzel for an appitizer and the thing was HUGE! Burgers were nice and gooey. The chef's inspired special was a double cheese burger with what I think they called their special homemade mojo sauce. What is that i asked - 1000 Island dress. What? Wait, that is a big mac. I got the bacon cheeseburger.

Best veggie burger anywhere!

By janicewriting6 |

In a world of ho-hum veggie burgers, High Velocity has a great one. It had the density of beef, the right firm texture and it stood up to the lettuce and tomato without falling apart. The artichoke-spinach dip was very nice, as well. Others at my table enjoyed their (regular human) food. The salads, soup and cheese-steak sandwich were enjoyed. Portions were substantial.

Late Night Eats

By momof2inga |

After a long day we decided to eat in one of the hotel restaurants, High Velocity had immediate seating so we decided to give it a shot. We ordered the sampler which came with wings, sliders, fries and onion rings. With the exception of the sliders everyone enjoyed the food. Our server was observantly tired and overworked yet still did a good job.

High Energy Sports Bar!!

By CLM1661 |

In town for business and we found our way to this bar from the adjoining Hilton Hotel. the bar was very lively and even though it was very busy the bartenders were very attentive to all of us. Great beer selection and the food was very tasty. Fun place to watch sports or hang with friends.

Servers Who Deserve a Standing Ovation

By Nashia F |

The online menu was inaccurate but Ki Morris was our server and she was amazing, patient, and very kind. The kitchen is flexible with accommodations and overall the food was good if a bit overpriced.

Great burgers!

By Jose |

It's a sports bar, so keep in mind there will be televisions featuring sports all around you. That's not my thing, so I won't comment on that. The burger I had was very good and well prepared. The waitress was also very friendly.

Sports bar in Marriot

By Canka |

The watching football games possible in there. Lots of tv monitors with special menu and drinks are available .Tell them the order sequence when you order;Otherwise steak comes first in place of soup.

Great atmosphere and incredible service

By crysmgael |

I visited this restaurant 3 times in my 3 day stay in Atlanta! The french onion soup was lovely and our bartender Rodcliff was so wonderful! Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone staying in or around the Marriot!

Casual dining

By Karen M |

Good place for a relaxed meal.Has a sports bar feel to it. Good selection of options and the prices are reasonable

Quieter pub/restaurant in the atrium of Marriott

By loveDCA |

I was attending a large conference at the Marriott Marquis and this restaurant/pub is located right at the atrium level and is quieter than the outside bar. The bar itself is expansive and they have lots of room for discussion, as well as a big back room with lots of TVs to catch the latest game. The food wasn't anything too special -very much pub-like- and they have a pretty expansive drink menu.

Dinner

By brendarZ3769OP |

Meet friends there during Alabama football weekend Quiet crowded because of event Drinks average I had salmon which was good but average Friends ordered a variety of foods and no one complained that anything was not good Service acceptable

Decent hotel restaurant

By Leslie J |

Visited for dinner. Selected two of their sandwiches but replaced fries with salads. Pulled pork and fried chicken. Both sandwich were tasty, but not near the best we have ever had. House salads were large, dressing good. Service slow, but pleasant. Drinks were good, not great. Place was quiet, so we were not seated near others so felt comfortable without masks.

A corner of normalcy in a millennial world

By madhobbit50 |

Down to earth bar tenders, fast, friendly and attentive. Enjoying a well made old fashioned. Hotel is packed with conference goers and I see a lot of tired people. These guys have the service down pat. Plenty of games on and a well crafted cocktail, pretty nice way to relax in a crowd.

Decent burgers

By Jean O |

If you are staying in the hotel, it is a great place for a burger, drink and bar scene. I was there during a convention, so it seemed that the menu was limited. I'm hoping because of the convention and that they have a better menu when things settle.

Try to avoid this place

By Joseph S |

I went in for a quick lunch during a conference that was held in the hotel. First, atmosphere is non-existent. Very plain. I sat at the bar and waited ten minutes for service and I finally had to ask one of the roving managers. She took my order. It took over a half hour to get a simple bowl of soup and turkey burger with side salad. There was nothing special about the burger. The salad was about as close to frozen as possible without being ice. It took a long time for a quick lunch, that honestly was very average. Try other places if your looking for something quick and tasty.

Convenient

By Angel B |

Our daughter was staying at this hotel and it had been a long day. We ate in the hotel to save the trip out in the cold. It isn't a very extensive menu at all. I had the bbq brisket sandwich which wasn't bbq at all. It tasted like a roast sandwich. My husband's steak was a little over done. It was busy but they seemed to have enough help but the service seemed slow.

Late night (but expensive) eats

By Juan L |

I arrived at the hotel very late, and so I could not eat dinner until midnight. Fortunately, high velocity stayed open until Two AM. I was able to have a big philly cheese steak sandwich with chile and chocolate cake. All came in generous proportions and in a timely manner. But it's still very pricey. It ran me up to $40.
