Been here plenty of times its about time I give them a review you can eat drink and hookah at the same time well good enough for me

We had first gone to the 'kebab House' at a different location about a year ago and LOVED it. There was such an aroma of flavors. For our anniversary we decided to return and we found out they had moved to south street and changed their name from the Kebab House to the Istanbul Lounge. No big deal, we figured they wanted to commemorate the move with a name change. The experience wasn't as phenomenal as before but it wasn't horrible either. We did have a cheese desert that was great though. This week we decided to give it a third try. We walked right past it twice because we were looking for the Istanbul Lounge... Nope... no more Istanbul Lounge now it is the His and Her Restaurant and Bar. Okay... sure... We recognized one of the employees and they still had a sign that said 'Istanbul Lounge' soo... so we decided 'why not' Confusing confusing experience. The food was unfortunately lackluster... and burnt. We ordered lamb and chicken and they were both charred on one corner. The bread wasn't as good as before. The Tsatziki sauce wasn't as amazing as before and the ginger ale was watered down... we won't be returning. There is no more charm or feelings of authenticity anymore at this restaurant not to mention why the heck do you need to change your name three times in the course of a year. ONE YEAR. It is such a shame because the first time was AMAZING but that was when they were a small restaurant on a side street off of south street. They should have kept it that way instead of this awful game of bigger and better... Even the decor is confused. and now they incorporate americanized options like pizza...It just feels like they lost their identity... http://www.istanbullounge.us/Default.aspx Here is their website - you can see the confusion based on the conflicting names.

Brought Groupon deal hoping for something different via my old high school stomping ground-- Pizza is tasteless-- like seriously-!! good only #afterhours while tipsy Great space--great table shares. Two hookahs per table. Lots of TV's. Hook up your phone to speakers to play your choice of music. Also an iTunes music "jukebox" Drinks are stupidly Overpriced ($10 each) and watered-down-!! Cups half the size the common "party red cups"---!!! Experience was just OK---no rush to return if hungry and thirsty while smoking hookah.

Love this place great food and music will be back soon. Good prices with an amazing atmosphere and the bartenders are great

So, I have been on the east coast for business this summer. I have been staying primarily in Philadelphia. A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I stumbled onto His and Hers while walking down South Street. It was nearly midnight and they were still open. We were greeted by the owner, Sal who was absolutely wonderful and made us a drink from their Happy Hour list. I love sweet drinks, so I had a Woo Woo, but made with Apricot juice... Yuuuum! We sat at the bar, while music some nice music played in the background. The vibe there was awesome. George, the Manager came and talked to us. He is really GREAT! He then showed us the upstairs, which had a cigar bar, a jukebox and Hookah! If you love to Hookah, this would be the SPOT! Total different vibe than downstairs, but just as good. We had such a good time last week, that we went back the following week and THEN the week after that. THIS HAD BECOME OUR SPOT! ALL wonderful evenings and it just got better each time. The food here is so Ahhhhhmazingly delicious! One week I had the salmon, which truly was really good and I had a side Greek salad. Then another time, it was suggested to try one of the fishes from Turkey as I don't eat meat. A definite great choice!. My girlfriend had the Lamb Chops. She thought they were the best she had ever had. If you are in Philly this is definitely a place you want to go. I live in California, but I will be back again the next time I am in town. His and Hers is my new Philly go to spot! and a definite MUST try! ;)

Everything was amazing live dj great hiphop music got hookah drinks food pooltable great service thank you chyna

I have eaten here 3x in 2 months. Every time I try a different dish but usually Italian. The Caprese is a great starter and their salads are fresh, generous and I always clean out the bowl. Every time I go I take a different group of people and tonight there were 6 of us. The server was very accommodating throughout the meal and made fresh coffee for the 4 that wanted it. Don't know what brand they use but it wasn't your typical cup of coffee, we all had seconds! They do serve wine and beer but haven't received their liquor license yet although it is in the works. Put this place on your list to try, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stumbled upon this bar/restaurant the food was ok. The waitress were great very attentive but they seem to still be new and a little confusing with the ambiance . They need to add karaoke maybe that would tie everything together

Couldn't have had a better time. Tara & Sal take the time to personally greet everyone that comes through the door. Service, food and drinks were spot on! I most certainly recommend this place if your in Philly!

Best spot on south street. Great food great drinks great hookah. Will definitely be back again. Everyone should stop here.

Great lounge and Mike was the best bartender!!! I would definitely come back!! Hookah and vibe was great!!!

Love this place, we have been there several times and every time has been a great experience. We have become friendly with the owners and so it now feels like we are part of the family. They serve Italian and Turkish food and the menu is split with Her side (Italian) and his side (Turkish). Honestly I've had both sides and I love them both. This restaurant was originally Istanbul, but recently changed names. The restaurant is on the ground floor and serves alcohol and upstairs there is a Hookah bar and Cognac /Cigar bar. So there is definately something for everyone!

This spot is nice for a chill spot love the food an love the bartenders Mike was the best one very outspoken very nice an very patient.

Ok service
Went over with friend on a Friday night, ordered a Kahlua & Baileys, and Kamikazes for my friends. The Kamikazes tasted like lemon juice with no alchohol. Also ordered mozzarella sticks, nothing special here, and Mint Hookah, we had to have it replaced a few times because some residue kept coming out of the pipe. The servers were pretty helpful though, but I'd expect more since I paid a $10 cover charge.
