Not the bbq experience I was hoping for

By VeronicaTrias |

We came here with a couple of friends to try out Korean bbq for the first time. We thought this place might be like other Korean Bbq places that our friend talked about (where you cook your own meat/chicken/vegetable.....YOU do the BBQing). If you are looking for a place like that, then this is NOT the place for you. The waiter was the only person in charge of the bbq, this kind of took the experience away from me. Not fun at all. The menu is kind of limited on the options compared to other Korean BBQs. Price is not bad, but it's limited. Meats all had a great flavor to it. The side dishes were all good as well. Quantity was very small for each dish for a group of 5 people. I can understand if it were 2 people, but for 5 people there were not enough sides for everyone to share. Service was great, waiters were nice and respectful. Service was fast as well. Dessert was this ice cream sandwich. Good also. Will I come back here? I don't think so. Its all about the experience, and there was none here.

The best Korean restaurant in Vegas!

After arrival at the airport and picking up our rental car,we headed right away to Hobak for dinner. It was my husband first time trying Korean food!He loves it! The food is more than enough for two.The menu has many selection. The food arrived promptly and they cooked the meet right in front of you. They also give you bunch of side dishes which is delicious!!! There are bunch of Soju’s to choose from .The ambiance is Korean 80’s ,really cool place! The best to bring friends and family! The food is more than enough for two.

best korean bbq in vegas, even better than Korea

Hobak

By Raymond S |

Where my son wanted to celebrate his birthday! A fun experience and great service. First time have Korean BBQ and would go back again.

Must stop for anyone with a large appetite and a love for any Asian cuisine.

By Owen Y |

Wow I have to say this place was amazing. Ambiance has a feel of a street market but located in a well air conditioned location. The service was top notch. Not just one but three servers were on the spot to assist as I made my way through numerous set dishes which were refillable at any time. This was my first experience where the staff BBQ'd for me which let me enjoy the food and eat right from the grill as my skirt steak was finished. They can accommedate quite a few people but with the way the bbq works groups of more than 6 may split up. Completely blown away by this place and wish I lived here because this would be a regular spot.

Amazing food!!!

Here eating at Hoban now. Great service and staff is really friendly. Food is fresh and salad is crispy. Short rib is BOMB!! Rib eye is BOMBER!!! If you love Korean BBQ this please is a must while in Vegas.

Korean bbq

By Carol T |

Nice Korean restaurant with friendly and fast service. There aren’t any veggie choices so I just ended up having the side dishes with some white rice. The ice cream sandwich is the best part. They offer free popcorn while you wait in line, and also offer toothbrushes in the bathroom.

The BEST Korean BBQ EVER!

By CMyers91611 |

This is a MUST go to if you are into Korean BBQ, I thought I had the best place to go to for my cravings back home but WOW, was I wrong, this is the place to go! Sad I can't take this place to my hometown! Great service, great food, very fresh and the taste is perfect!

Amazing Food and Experience

By Big TexKC BBQ |

Hobak Korean BBQ is well worth the trip off the strip for a unique experience and some delicious food. The atmosphere is fast and fun with an energetic vibe. Wait staff was very willing to help us navigate the large menu. We tried three proteins, two beef and one chicken. All were outstanding. Plentiful sides and dipping sauces. Wait-assisted grilling at your table makes for a unique dining adventure.....sights, smells, and visual appeal all crash together. Seared beef and chicken, right off the fire, makes for the best bites of your entire Vegas trip. Take a chance and give it a try, you’ll be glad you did!

Great food, good service

By markoestreicher |

Exactly what we were hoping for that evening. It’s certainly not cheap eats; but very very good. Most Korean BBQ places I’ve been to, I enjoyed turning the meat on the grill myself. They don’t let you do that here. But the staff are friendly and attentive, and everything was great.

Great Service

By FuntimeNY2014 |

The service was great but my family and I did not think the food was tasty. Also, the menu selection was quite limited. The place was quite busy on a late Monday night.

Best Korean bbq

By deepcreek32 |

Different sauces to go with your meat, this is the best Korean bbq place in Nevada. They brought the Korean style to Vegas, please support them when you come to Vegas

Amazing!!! Don't miss this one while in Vegas!

By Brian H |

From the moment we stepped through the door we felt welcomed. We ordered the three types of beef meal. Kevin was our waiter. He was gracious, helpful and an immeasurable part of the experience. This was the best meal we had while in Vegas! The food was delicious and I mean everything! I will now judge all other Korean BBQ restaurants by the quality and standards set by Hobak Korean BBQ. If you are going to Las Vegas, this restaurant HAS TO BE part of your trip.

Great experience and wonderful food!

By Marianne S |

We were too tired to eat - but were starving after dropping our friends at the airport. I found this place on my phone and decided to try it. We were told that no, they wouldn’t cook the food for us - was not an option. Well, it was a pleasure once we learned that we were to cut the meats with the scissors provided (no knives). We would definitely return when back in Vegas!

Compliments to the Chef...oh wait, that's me.

By Teochew |

Came here based on a recommendation from my friend Andrew. The cuts of meat, the seasoning, and medium rare, are all perfection. Came with a group of 5 and ordered the large Hobak Family Combo. Went into Jurassic Park mode and devoured it all. The side dishes that Korean BBQ is known for were all stellar as well. Only negative is that I wanted to try the Matcha Ice Cream Rice Cake from their Instagram page but was told they don't serve it. I even showed a picture from their IG page but she said it doesn't exist. Probably just a seasonal thing. No biggie. Overall, the best meal I had in Vegas and that includes the 3 lb. lobster I enjoyed the day before. One more thing: I don't know where they got their rice cakes from (for the ice cream sandwiches) but my 1 & 3 year olds loved it sans ice cream. They wonderfully gave us 2 orders of just the rice cakes to appease the kids for no charge. Thank you Mr. Zimmer for your recommendation.

Delicious Korean food in Las Vegas

By Foodie_Bakabon |

Korean food in downtown Las Vegas. Yakiniku style, both beef and samgyeopsal are available. All of them have the taste of meat and are delicious. I ate it up until I was full because I eat it Korean style.

Solid Korean BBQ

By MjLivingston |

Standard Korean BBQ, great meat choices - would recommend the short ribs and brisket. We got the 3-4 people steak combo- the sides were really good, steamed egg, spicy tofu stew. Service was really good, they cook the meat to your liking and help to cook it right in front of you. They also have a really awesome rice cake ice cream sandwich for dessert that hits the spot after a heavy meal of meat. 4.5/5

Tasty Lunch!

By CharlieinTexas |

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Skirt steak was delicious! Great marinade. Side dishes, including an egg dish were tasty. Appetizer side dishes were very good, and the kimchi was excellent. Soup good too! Place gas a very appetizing charcoal grill smell. Worth trying. Yum!

Exceeded expectations

By Lori B |

We ordered the family combo of marinated beef and pork and the spicy rice and glass noodles as sides for a family of 5. The meat is cooked to perfection at your table and split among the people in your party. We wondered if it would be enough food, but it was more than plenty for all. The flavor is balanced mixing spicy and not so spicy cuts of meat and sides. Service was very good and price was fair. Will return on future visits to Las Vegas because it was all delicious, and we had a wonderful food experience.

Great food, 5 star service!!

By Rhea M |

This place is awesome! Food is good and service is excellent. They cook your meats for you. In Vegas, we usually go to all you can eat Korean BBQ, but this was just as satisfying...food wise because food kept coming. But you get great service here. Also, open till 2am.

The best Korean BBQ -- hands down

By Patty H |

Atmosphere was great, food was spectacular, drinks was amazing. We spent roughly $40 per person for a TON of food and drinks. We left with bellies full and wanting to make plans for our next visit. Til next time!

Horrible place, ruined my dad's birthay

By Katie K |

Had my dad's 86th birthday here and will never go back, overpriced for what you were getting, found a blemish hair in my food and was told they had no blond workers. No apology for the hair and refused to call a manager over. I didn't ask for a discount or meal comped and never received it or an apology plus the food was sub par with very little side dishes. I would never go there again horrible experience

Delicious food, humongous portion, great service

By travelpimp |

I'm not a fan of BBQ buffet so this place is perfect. It was nearly packed when we came, and people kept coming to be seated in the restaurant. Your server will work with other servers to serve you, cut the meats, and cook your food. We ordered the package for two people and it easily feeds three. Just take your time eating the food and you'll be fine. The price is quite reasonable. I definitely recommend this for anyone.

The best Korean BBQ in Vegas

By graygraystone |

The hands down best Korean BBQ food I've ever had. The staff is the best and everyone who lives in the area knows to come to hobak for great food. Come early, it gets packed! Get family style meal

Awesome Korean Food

Best Korean Restaurant in Vega and we always come to Hobak when visiting LV. Great for groups, couples and families. Excellent value and great service.

Best Korean BBQ in Las Vegas

By We_Travel_A_Lot_2011 |

We researched online to find the best Korean BBQ in Las Vegas and found many people raving about Hobak. Very attentive service, not like other places that take forever to provide refills of your plates / sides. Service was great, atmosphere was very open and welcoming, similar to street dining Korea. The best part was they cook for you at your table. I have found my new favorite Korean BBQ restaurant! We ordered the two person combo brisket and skirt steak and added bi bim bap and tofu beef stew. For the included dessert we got the rice pop mango ice cream. What a fabulous meal, I would recommend to all!

Amazing -- fun and high quality!

By coreywoo |

I have been to Hobak on three very different occasions and loved it every time! While it is not cheap, for the quality is not ridiculous. The meat is fantastic and cooked to perfection! Going to Hobak is truly an experience. It is fun for families, couples, and large adult groups. I have yet to go with someone who did not enjoy their experience!

Slow death

By asiamutt |

I have been to Hobak for many years and have recommended this restaurant numerous times. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. What once was one of my favorite go-to restaurant, has now become a never again restaurant. No matter how good the food is, nothing tastes good when one is irritated. After having to ask multiple times (four times) for simple basic pairings such as rice and water only to be told the same answer of “it’s coming”, and when the rice and water came, we were finishing up our dinner. It should also be of noted that the bean paste soup should be served during the meal and not as the last course. Finally, the straw that broke the camel’s back was when the waiter was cooking the meat. He rushed through the meat courses. The cooked meat was finishing up grilling, the waiter set the cooked meat aside and uncooked meat was quickly set on the grill. My family and I felt rushed to finish our dinner. Food is meant to be savored and enjoyed. If I wanted to be rushed, I would have gone to McDonald’s. There are so many great Korean restaurants popping up, that one would think the management who do everything in their power to retain the loyalty of the returned costumers. Unfortunately the restaurant rise in popularity may have resulted in their rise in complacency.

New Found Yummy

It was the best Korean food we had in a very long time. The service was fantastic. Very pleasing environment. Definitely return.

Great food

By D4764XXdonb |

So, I found Hobak in a search, reviews were really good, so thought we would try it. Being half Korean, I am an Asian food snob. Really blown away by this place! Food was exceptional, service was amazing, total experience was just well worth the 20 minute drive off the strip. Spent about 130 bucks, and would have paid 50% more and would have STILL been a deal! The 4 of us had a great time! The staff cleaned a table up like a NASCAR pit crew!

Great Korean BBQ spot with amazing atmosphere

By Frank P |

The atmosphere here is pretty cool. It make you feel like you are back in Korea in a street eating food. It's quite good too. And they serve quite a lot of food for the price. Very reasonable what what it is 55$ for 2 in the combo plate. But I believe it will feed three. The staff is very attentive too!

Best Korean BBQ

By Korapin R |

Good quality of beef, pork and everything. Good service, wait staffs are always attentive and helpful. We only come here for Korean BBQ.

Yummy

By runninggnome |

Wow great Korean food! The Banchan variety was amazing and delicious. The meat selection and portions were excellent. Our waiter was attentive despite the restaurant being extremely busy. The only issue we had was the overhead fan at our table was not quite moving the smoke upwards and my husband was getting a face full of bbq vapors. Overall we enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back with our kids.

Great experience eating here

By Bailey55 |

We came here twice. The first time dined in and ordered the hot pot. The second time we ordered 2 bento boxes to take out. The waitess was quite helpful since we didn't know what to chose from their menu. When the hot pot came, she also helped us cook our meal. We were not disappointed with the hot pot or the bento boxes. They don't have a menu for you to order. You have to scan their QR code to download the menu, which is difficult for seniors.

Good Food, Good Customer service, Good Price

By Hawaii 808 |

We’ve been here several times whenever we visit Las Vegas. We normally order the Beef Combo and we always leave satisfied. They are fast and friendly when serving you. Definitely worth the money.

Brought back to Korea visit

By Dave G |

The restaurant brought me back to visiting Korea a few years ago, except this time we used chairs. Enjoyed the table side barbecue as a unique experience state side. Beef full of flavor and bok choy salad was tasty. Warm welcome by the manager and top shelf service.

Pleasantly Surprised - AMAZING Food!

By BondVagaBond007 |

We weren't really sure what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. A few miles off the Strip is this hidden gem. Located inside of an industrial park area, this restaurant was a unique experience. It offers the full cooked at your table experience, along with a great selection of meats and unlimited complimentary sides. We opted for the Family Combo #1 - at a price of $70 for two, it was a bit steep for lunch, but we were STUFFED! The entire lunch took an hour or so, but the service was top notch. Come give this place a try!

Great Korean BBQ

By N G |

We love Korean BBQ and hi quality steak and Hobak has both, offering Korean BBQ with black Angus beef. It's a fun setting with excellent service and both the steak and side dishes were excellent! If you like Korean BBQ or steak this place will definitely hit the spot!

Keep coming back for more

By xxxxxxxawe ew |

I've been always a kbbq lover. There are so many KBBQ AYCE places in Vegas but I keep on coming back here bringing my family and friends. For some reasons, it's something to do with the quality and taste of meat they have. And my fave bokchoy, I can just eat it all the time! The service is great and everybody can eat all at the same time since nobody is incharge of grilling since it's part of their service.

Very Good Cuts!

By gbulldoger |

Business meeting where we had the lunch special. Unlimited servings of meat from the menu. The best was the pork belly. Only drawback was small servings of vegetables and rice. Other than that, it was great.

Far And Away--the best in USA

By LaurieM57 |

We had a group of 6--2 from Burma, 3 Burmese-Americans and me! My friends had already eaten there 3 other times that week. I was out of my mind with how good the food is!! We had beef and pork with some grilled vegetables and salads. Topped off with fried ice cream--vanilla and green tea. This place rocks. Such nice waiters as well. I give it a 10. (And I've been to Seoul)

Wonderful place to eat

By ThreeTodays |

All you can eat meats that specialize in korean food. The staff changed a few times which some are unfriendly. The price is decent. Food was good but give you small amounts and emphasize that you have to eat all the meats to get a new refill. Korean restaurants major downfall is the service at times.

Yum! Love this place!

By eyecoin |

It’s my first time to come to this place and I’m very satisfied and I would love to come back. We had awesome thin sliced beef, nice thick cut beef steaks and also very nice thick pork belly. They give you about a dozen side condiments to eat with your meat. Also we had the best server. Make sure to ask for Kevin. He is very nice, makes great suggestions, he speaks Korean, Chinese, and English all very fluently!

The ice cream cookie is a must have !!

By Dealand |

First time having Korean BBQ, a cool experience. The staff were nice and friendly and very helpful, they cook your meat on fire right in front of you. Kimchi soup was delicious, the rice balls served when wasabi was super cute, they also give you a lot of appetizers, among which I like the kimchi best, and potato cake second. The ice cream cookie was a highlight, we all loved it! Bathroom was spacious and clean, they also have toothbrushes there, which was sweet but also interesting to see. Would love to go back, even just to have the ice cream cookie!

Fresh food, great service

By Mayeyes66 |

Excellent service, Katie and the rest of the staff let us want to nothing. She explained all the side dishes. Katie cooked all the food which was great.

Great dining experience

By Brian R |

Went here with coworkers, the food was out of this world good. We all enjoyed our dining experience a lot. We bought a meal with a variety of meats to feed a party of four. We walked out of there plenty full. I would not hesitate to go back there again. In fact, my group plans to go there again on this same trip since we were all so impressed.

South Korea's Hobak Arrives in Las Vegas!

By lasvegasfreeway |

A new Korean BBQ restaurant has arrived in Las Vegas. Coming by way of South Korea.....Hobak Korean BBQ. This isn't one of those all you can eat places, instead they concentrate on quality. And the grilling is done on charcoal. You can choose from black angus short ribs, angus rib eye, or angus brisket. They also have marinated skirt steak and premium pork belly. They have beef combo and family dinners. Feeding between 2-4 people. Prices range from $45.99 to $89.99. Or you can order a la carte. All meals come with side dishes. My wife and I choose the 2 person beef combo. Food was of high quality and tasted delicious. There was so much food and side dishes we couldn't finish it all. Tips - If coming from the Las Vegas strip, head west on Spring Mountain Road, a few blocks before Jones. They have a service button at your table. This is a grill at your table joint. So you will come out smelling a little like Korean bbq.

Over-the-top good food!

By Mark H |

Small restaurant of about 15 tables with an industrial styled decor. The number and variety of appetizers brought to the table as part of whatever meal we were going to order was a pleasant surprise. Be careful...they seem to like their spicy hot seasonings...ask before tasting if you can't stand the heat. But all the appetizers we could eat tasted phenomenol. We had the Skirt Steak and the seasoning/marinade was really, really good. Our server was polite and knowledgeable about the taste and preparation of the food.

Great atmosphere! Great Food!

By John |

Very clean, food is very good. Plenty to choose from. All of the meats are very good. But I did want more vegetables. Actually it would be nice if they explained how it all works and what everything is once you sit down. Some food is already on the table when you get there..kinda weird.

Go elsewhere

By Scuba555 |

When we arrived, we waited 30 minutes to be seated. We attempted to get our waiter’s attention several times to put in the order. My husband basically had to flag the water down to take our order. The food took a long time to arrive which was surprising since it’s uncooked. We ordered a couple items including the BBQ beef combination family plate. The meat was tough and bland; not marinated well. They only had 1 type of cabbage kimchi that was not to our liking, it was thick and crunchy, not fermented correctly. We were given some kind of cheese dish with shredded cheese which was strange. Also some cold sushi rice balls with wasabi, very unusual since they don’t have sushi on the menu. The menu is limited and appears to be more of an American-Korean fusion, not very authentic in our opinion. The restaurant was packed and we appeared to be the only Korean family there. When we asked for a to go container, our waiter left to go find a Korean employee, she may have been the Manager On Duty. She explained it’s their company policy that they don’t allow the noodle dishes to be taken in to go containers. She continues to state this is how ALL Korean restaurants are. We informed her that we are from Los Angeles and we have taken noodle dishes in to go containers. The waitress was rude and talked back saying she was from Los Angeles and lived her whole 20 something life there. I didn’t feel it was my place to let her know I’ve lived in Los Angeles Koreatown for 40 years. My 70 year old father who was with me has lived in Los Angeles Koreatown since 1970, prior to that Seoul, South Korea. I was shocked that she was so disrespectful to us which is not of the Korean tradition and speaking to paid customers in that manner. My family use to own and operate a Korean restaurant in Los Angeles in the 80s and 90s, we never spoke to customers in that manner. And most of our customers were of Korean descent. Then she started speaking Korean for an unknown reason, appeared she was trying to test our Korean speaking skills? It was very strange because we were speaking English the entire time until that point. I asked if we could just have a container and we would pack our leftover ourselves and she refused. I would not recommend this restaurant when there are many other great Korean and Non-Korean restaurants to pick from that you can spend $135+ at. We only went with this restaurant based a Yelp recommendation since we wanted to try a Korean restaurant off the Vegas strip. Yelp fail.

"Top-rated Korean BBQ restaurant in Las Vegas"

By Manuel I |

No word to discribe this restaurant but "fantastic". This top-rated Korean casual restaurant is very proximate to Chinatown in Las Vegas. It may be worth the trip if you are after tender and delicious Korean barbecues. During your meal, you will be assisted by young and friendly staff in grilling your meats on your table. My family and I were happy with their family lunch combo package for four persons (US$90 but drinks are extra) which included marinated sliced angus brisket, marinated beef short ribs, grilled spicy pork belly with cheese and vegetables and steamed eggs, among others. Great dessert too as we tried their mango and strawberry rice pop ice cream which were part of the lunch package. Restaurant is highly recommend. Place tends to be crowed so best that you call for reservation or come early.

Good Food

By Fred |

Had an opportunity to eat here recently and truly enjoyed our lunch. The staff sat us quickly and patiently waited for us to get seated and comfortable before explaining the menu and service. After taking our order the food arrived within minutes. This despite a fairly large lunch time crowd and only two servers. The meat was fresh (chicken, pork belly and beef) well cut and large portions. The vegetables and soup were also good. The price was a bit steep for a lunch meal , but definitely worth the money.

First Meal Of The Day

By rockyj805 |

New Year's Day was busy. It's now going on 7:30pm and it's our first chance to eat in 2017. We chose Korean BBQ and at arrival was greeted by the most amazing smells. The ambiance is vibrant and alive. Freezing waiting for our table every time the door opened and we were not annoyed. Our excitement out weighed the wait. Watching crew change tables over was fascinating. Dancing and smiling. I'm expecting great things... AMAZING I loved every meat and side dish. A must do again.

First visit

By gct530 |

Excellent service. Waiters will help to cook the meats. A lot of meats, side dishes, and dessert at the end for the family meal.

So disappointing

By NurseinVegas |

Hobak was recommended, so when my sister came to town I jumped at the opportunity and skipped our usual Korea fav's. The menu's selections/descriptions are in English (and Hangeul) so I wondered where was the galbi, bulgogi, and bimimbap...which was easily explained by our server. Banchan was different, not bad, just different. Meat selections are tasty, portions are very slight compared to other BBQ places. Pls note The Mgr was not very accommodating when we asked to have a meat dish substituted and we'd gladly pay for it.....odd right? It's super trendy, LOUD, and caters to the tourist crowd. The young Korean gentleman, Kevin, who cooked our meat, told me I drink poktanju the "old school way" and nobody drinks it that way anymore. #imsooldschoolitsapoundsign. He asked me where l learned to drink it that way and I explained that b4 cell phones, HD, and fire a man who spent much time in Korea taught me. #notipforkevin

Great food quality, awesome service!

By Maria W |

I've been to several Korean BBQ restaurants and this is one of the top quality in food and service that I have eaten at. We a little of everything on the menu. The marinated beef and the scallops were aaaamazing! We also enjoyed the "ice cream" which looked and felt like snow but was frozen shaved condensed milk with chocolate sauce on it. It was so fun and tasty to eat.

BEST KBBQ anywhere

By Itsgotime1 |

California has some of the best KBBQ but I can say none compare to this place, they got it all right and little better than everyone else ...Can’t wait to return

Delicious

By rephTravels |

Hobak Korean BBQ is an excellent option if you're looking to skip Las Vegas's many buffets and have something good and different. It's really hard to go wrong with this place since basically you will end up eating delicious grilled meats with lots of yummy sides. If you are a novice at Korean food, there is no need to fear since any of the meat combos will hook you up with a good meal, and the staff are very easy to talk to and more than willing to give you direction or answer any questions. Check it out, you will not regret it.

A close to authentic experience away from the strip

By Anastasia G |

We have visited the restaurant on one of our business trips. Unfortunately it doesn't take reservations, so we had to wait for 40 minutes on Sunday evening. But it was worth it. The food was great and totally worth the price. The space is very loud, but it brings somehow a nice filling if you're in the right mood for that : ) The service was good, but you could see that the waiters were in a hurry all the time, so they didn't really speak with us almost at all. You should definitely go for this place if you want to experience something different and be away from the strip. Even more if you're a meat lover. You won't regret your choice if you'll take the beef combo ; )

Found our new favorite Korean

By Jennifer |

Found our new favorite Korean bbq spot!!!!!! Will definitely be back again! PROS -easy to order online -good location close to the strip -parking lot -food is so good, fresh & authentic tasting kbbq -kimchi is SO GOOD, tastes like it's made in house -bento boxes are huge and good portion size -bulgoli cup is huge! -they give you banchan with take out orders with dinner only -bulgoli is tender, juicy and tasty -friendly staff -free soda with bento box CONS -jap chae order was not good, no flavor and dry

Leave the Strip and Get This!

By JKLangs |

For a ladies night on a recent trip to Vegas we ventured off the strip as one of the girls heard this place was great. She was right! Most of us had not tried Korean BBQ before but it was sooo good! We got the Family 1 platter as well as some sides and tried a bunch of the Good Day drink flavors they had (Cala Mansi, Watermelon, & Pineapple were the favorite flavors.) The pork belly was awesome so definitely get that if you come here! The staff was also super fun & welcoming and they come grill up the meat at your table themselves. Topped everything off with their home made ice cream sandwiches which had a nice, sweet and crispy outside stuffed with great ice cream! The Strip has tons of good restaurants but tends to be more American-style so this was a great change up while also not being as speedy. Well worth the Uber ride!

Best Korean bbq in town

By Eiszel L |

Amazing service and food. Loved that they provide a complimentary slushy drink while waiting for your table and the no corkage fee. We went back twice in the same week and will be repeat customers for a long time!

Wonderful

By Kumsal1606 |

We ate skirt steak and short rib, all of them wonderful. Plus really delicious side dishes. A complimentary ice cream also adorable... I am defininetly suggest.

Apparently Hoback doesn't like the truth.

By Thanh-Minh N |

Hobak Korean BBQ restaurant serves really great food, delicious, good ambiance, beautiful atmosphere, it has much energy and the décor is not boring. I’ve been to other korean restaurants in Las Vegas where there’s a great vibe, but this one “Hoback” has everything I want. I am a “Las Vegan”. I’ve been living here for 20+years. I came to top Luxury Dining Restaurants at Wynn/Encore, Bellagio, Cosmo, Caesar...to Casual Dining restaurants like Hoback Korean BBQ. On April 14th, 2018, I had a dinner with my family. It was a Fabulous Dinner, maybe my 15+ times with friends, colleagues, clients...since opening in April 2016. We usually spent $150 and 20% Tips. This time, waiters and waitresses, or servers asked us “If We would go to Trip Adviser Website and provide rating/feedback then We could have some FREE ice-cream deserts ($5.00) with the condition that We have to show them our rating/feedback on line”. I told them: “Hey Guys, I don’t need your BS desert”. Here are my points are: 1. Apparently Hoback doesn't like the truth. 2. We have to be 100% honest and sincere. 3. It's a piece of piss. Hoback wants to know what I rate and provide feedback? This is a BS. 4. Don't trust everything you read on Trip Adviser! However, I would rate 5 overall for this restaurant “Hoback Korean BBQ” and I will definitively come back with friends, clients and family, but please don’t BS!

After 2 1/2 years in Korea - At HOBAK I was there again!!!

By Dan S |

Okay - the ONLY negative is that HOBAK Korean BBQ does NOT accept reservations - of course that is also one of the BEST things - first come/first serve, AND WORTH IT! We arrived at 5:30 p.m. an had a 20 minute wait - But Wait - they offer delicious FREE 'slushy' type drinks while you are waiting - We have never seen this before and it is GREAT!!! As expected in a quality (real) Korean restaurant the supply and quality of the 'banchan' (free side dishes to compliment your dinner) are myriad - about a dozen and everything that you could want and DELICIOUS and they refill them too!!! We had the HOBAK Beef Combo (large - $89.99) that they say serves 3 to 4 people - WTH, There were 5 of us and were are all BIG people and BIG eaters and we were totally stuffed - TOTALLY! This combo included my favorite KALBI (aka Galbi) which is marinated beef short-ribs that were as good as the best I had in Korea and I had a LOT of Kalbi while I was there! The combo also includesAngus brisket and Angus ribeye. But wait, there's more and that's not all folks = the most wonderful Rice pop ice cream is included - you will not believe how great this stuff is!!!!!!!!!! The service was excellent = HOMEY and very, very friendly. WONDERFUL!

Best Korean BBQ!!

Best Korean BBQ!! My husband and I always make a point of going to Hobak’s on every trip to Las Vegas. I highly recommend it!

Definitely order the marinated skirt steak

By Lucienne M |

We went to this place twice in one week as it was so easy to feed an extended family here! We went early both times (around 11.30 am) as there can be a line later in the lunchtime rush hour. When we arrived they let us know that they needed a few minutes to set up the table for us, but that we could help ourselves to the free slushies at the front or water from the big cooler outside. The slushies were a big hit with the kids. :) When they seated us (6 the first time, 11 the second time!!) we were seated at a table already loaded with yummy little appetizers/sides! The favorite here was the potato & onion pancake. There are big vents over each table's grill, so this is the first time ever at a Korean BBQ restaurant where I didn't smell like BBQ afterwards. Love that technology! First time around we ordered the beef combo, second time we went with more people and ordered the beef & the pork combos. Absolute best dish hands down was the marinated skirt steak - so tender and flavorful. The pork dishes were also good but take considerably longer to cook - I wouldn't recommend those if you're short on time. We let the servers cook the food for us as they were quick and efficient and cut up food with scissors to make it easier to share, but they did tell us that many of the Korean families preferred to cook their own food, which we were welcome to do if we wanted. The combos also come with crispy ice cream sandwiches (vanilla, mango or green tea) for dessert which the servers cut up into quarters for us - everyone loved these! Amazing experience overall & would definitely go again.

Da best korean food!!!

By Melinda Y |

Oh my my my, I've eaten Korean food all over the U.S. and this is "da best" Korean food everf. I come from Hawaii and there are some good Korean places, but hands down, this is the best food ever. I think I would come back to Vegas only to eat this food. The quantity they give of the kim chee and other veggies is off the charts. The cooking and variety of meats is off the charts too. I've never seen so much food, and eaten everything too. The waitress was awesome and the amount of food for the three of us was just right. We didn't waste any food, maybe just three pieces of meat, but you go away from this place fully satisfied. I even like the way they put toothbrushes and toothpaste and mouth wash in their bathrooms. Wow, now I call that service!!!

Good Food, Great Environment, Lots of Fun

By TropicHope |

We took the whole family here on the one night were we in Vegas. Since my husband is Korean, he was really excited about it and not disappointed. The service was great, even though it was a little overwhelming to have several people hovering over you the entire time. The portions were excellent for a family of 5. Our little one really enjoyed the slushie machines as you enter the restaurant. Do be prepared for a little sticker shock, but for special occasions, it's worth a try.

Better than Korea!!

By ellehcim472 |

We ate here the other day and it was fantastic! The service was also great and there are many servers to help out and assist. The food though, it was better than what we had in Korea!!! The food was fresh and just yummy!! The restaurant was also very clean.

Delicious!

By winger23 |

So happy we tried Hobak. The food was outstanding. The large dinner combo easily fed all 6 of us. The service was terrific too--everyone pitched in to cook our food or take away our dishes. It might be the best Korean BBQ I have ever tried.

Still the Best Korean BBQ in Las Vegas and................

By lasvegasfreeway |

Hobak opened up a little over one year ago. Decided to dine here again with a friend from out of town. First, this isn't one of those all-you-can eat bbq joints. They concentrate on high quality cuts of meat and pork. That is why you come here! With that said, combo's start around $50 bucks for two people. Throw in the complementary side dishes, and desert, and you won't leave hungry. Now for the best part.........there is no corkage fee for the first two bottles of wine! And let me tell you, THAT is WINNING in Las Vegas! Tips: Carry out now available. They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. Open at 11:30am - 2:00am. and open until 4:30am on weekends. Gets crowded during peak times. Wait time up to 1 hour+. You will smell like BBQ when you leave.

Superb, Top of The Line Meal

By Jojomama5 |

5 ***** We all loved it. The meats are prepared table-side. The selection is so tantalizing to your taste buds. The staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly and informative on the process. I'm an old-fashioned Vegetarian and they made me my own Vegetable Brown Rice Đish. (I absolutely loved it and the taste was scrumptious. ) Loved the fun atmosphere and seating style around your prep area. We were served a dessert assortment of ice cream and goodies. Definitely different and a MUST GO TO!!!!

Incredible Korean BBQ

By SCIV06 |

This place is as good as or better than advertised!! The staff was outstanding. They use some real charcoal and also gas. Beef was delicious and so was the pork. Fried rice was great too.

Great service and portions

By Michael R |

Great attentive service, good group portions, great meat selection, good sides. Typically crowded, worth the wait.

Best Korean BBQ in town!

By Maria A |

I absolutely LOVED this place! Not only was the service amazing, the food was even better! The side dishes we so good, and the variety of meats was great. If you're in the Las Vegas area and like Korean BBQ, you shouldn't miss this place. They also play a lot of BTS, which I LOVE! Oh, the little cream desert was so good...perfect ending to a perfect meal!!!💜

BEST Korean BBQ

By CheeseMonty |

Best food best service best service top notch. James our server was excellent always there when needed. Best experience in meal I've had in Vegas in a while. Toothbrushes in bathroom and slushies in front while you wait nice touch too.

Very good beef

By Michael B |

Interesting place inside, all food cooked at your table. There is a line to get in at night. Staff very attentive

An amazing eating experience

By Jo W |

I'd never been to a Korean BBQ before but my other half suggested that we check it out after a recommendation from the hotel concierge. We weren't disappointed - very busy, lots of big groups, mostly Koreans and quick service. We got seated and all tables have a charcoal pit - your waiter comes and helps you select from the men and then cooks all the food for you. You get dishes of salad, soup, pickles and an egg 'mousse' free with the meal along with popcorn icecream. I think this has to be my favourite eating experience in Las Vegas....just delicious!! We went for the $56 Meat Combo and couldn't move afterwards!! If you visit Vegas, do it.

Another great visit!

By ellehcim472 |

We visited here again after my disappointment with Goong Korean BBQ. We love this place! The staff is friendly and outgoing. We had another great dinner here. The meat can be a little greasier at times due to the amount of fat in some pieces, but it's really yummy regardless. Also they give you more sides here and the sides are yummy as well! They will also offer seconds on the sides if you want more of something which we appreciate. They even offer more sides here than the couple of places we experienced in Korea. Every time we have visited, the food has been fresh and hot. We will definitely be back!

The Korean barbecue experience

By greg7751 |

I’ve been coming to Vegas for the last 15 years and for the last four years I’ve been venturing away from the strip for food. For me it seems like I hit a gold mine here. This was the first year for my son and we are from Chicago. Chicago has a big Asian culture and great food. So, we Decide to go to Chinatown which will be my first time there. We visit Hobak and this was my first experience with Korean cuisine, and I wasn’t disappointed. We ordered a family combo for two. The combo we ordered had four type of meats. The meat were pork belly, thinly sliced beef, Korean spareribs, and a spicy beef. It also came with soup and salad, and a Korean quiche, and not to forget kimchi. Our server cooked the food for us and was very attentive to us. What we got for the family combo for two was enough for two people, but you could’ve easily fed at least 3. Priced well And excellent inner action with the server. I will definitely be back to experience this Korean BBQ again.

Amazing!

By Kim L |

This is the best Korean BBQ I have ever had! My husband found it online, it was in an article about the “21 best Korean restaurants in the nation” and it certainly did not disappoint!! I only wish we were in Vegas longer so we could go back again.

Awesome tasting meats!

By TT Y |

e have been to Hobak several times, both by ourselves and with friends. The reviews are always the same...AWESOME. The beef and pork is very tasty and of very good quality every time. That's what I like about this place. It is very consistent. Not only with the food, but also with the service and the servers. Always greeted at the door, and our wait has been very short each time. This place gets very busy, so do expect to wait for seating. The only thing we order are the combo dishes. For our group(s), it is always the way to go, and we have never left still hungry. For us, the winner is Set 3. The taste is always good, and like I mentioned consistent every time we have been. We especially like the salt mixture that they provide. The side dishes are ok. For me, meh as far as taste. It does seem very authentic though. The dessert, if you have room, is a great ice cream/rice krispy sandwich. It is light and just right to finish off the meal. We always order rice bowls and extra sides that we do like, which are all free or included with the combos. The large runs us $100 plus tip. The one kinda cool, and at the same time odd thing, is that you can brush your teeth after the meal (in the restrooms.) Hygiene items provided. Would definitely recommend, and will of course be back soon!

Worth the Trip

By Angie W |

Worth the trip to China Town! The meal for 2 would easily feed 4. I lost count of how many courses were served. Everything was delicious and Chaky knows his way around the grill! He was cooking for 5 tables at once and never missed a beat!

Table for Five given for two

By kausticcowboy |

Can't tell you about the food but can tell you about service! Worst host and Hostess I've ever seen!! Set 2 couples at round tables (for5) and then told us "We don't sit 2 people at tables for five" as we stood there looking at the tables! 45 minute wait while people after us were seated. May want to look at Host and Hostesses that Know how to count and not Lie. Revenue lost...think about it...2 vs groups of five!!!

Soccer team dinner

By Arnaldo |

This place was amazing. We called 2 other Korean BBQ places and none of them would take reservations or even try to accommodate a large group. Food was great, service awesome and all our waiters, specially Kelly and the manager Ellen were amazing!!!!

Great KKB but where's the sides?

By Brennan B |

Love this place if you where just eating the great quality meats ( marinated skirt steak is a must!!!! ). What they have forgotten is the large assortment of sides like you see at Lee's or DJK. I also really appreciate the servers cooking the meats/veggies so you can have a conversation with your dinner guest. You can bring in bottles of wine ( I believe 2pp) which is nice if you want to drink some high quality wines not available within the restaurant. All in all I enjoyed it and would hope they get a better assortment as well as a larger assortment of side dishes that make the KBBQ experience.

Hobak is daebak!!

By Lee H |

This is the best korean food we ate in las vegas. The service is awesome and the food portion is huge and the price is rather cheap considering that it's in vegas! If you are tired of greasy western food and craving for korean/asian food, this is the best place to go. Also close from the strip and very cheap if you take uber or lift. I would definitely recommend this place for korean BBQ. It reminded me of Korea!

A meat lover's heaven

By Philip F |

This is a very typical Korean BBQ restaurant that specialize serving BBQ beef or pork & other side dishes. It will comes with all the fixing( which is unlimited). There were freshly prepared salad, pickled radish, kimchee, rice balls, potato pancakes, soup, steam egg & the dipping sauce. We choose the beef combination that you can pick three different cut of beef and they'll cook the meet separately for you up to your likeness. They also throw in sweet potato & yams for grilling.

Don't waste your time or money! So many other great korean BBQ places in Las Vegas.

By Olive B |

First, there is no place to sit inside to wait for our table so we had to stand outside and find a place where the over active misting system wouldn't drench us. Then we walked into a smokey resturant where you could barely breath. Sat down at a not so clean table with an even dirtier plexi-glass divider next to us. We were told that we had to use the menu off of our phones. Two of us had trouble opening the menu on our phones, we asked for paper menus and were told rather rudely by the hostess that they didn't have any paper menus. We had to depend on one person to read out what was on the menu. Food was bland, no seasoning. Lots of crazy bowls and dishes on the table filled with stuff not explained to us. Litterly nothing with any good seasoning. Server put the food on the grill then walked away, even though we were told they did the cooking. Bill for 3 of us with NO drinks, water only, was $150.00. Way over-priced for the quality of the food and service. I have been to several Korean BBQ Resturants in Las Vegas and WILL NOT be returning to this one!!

Love the dessert

By Connie T |

The meat is good, but the dessert is better! Never have that kind of dessert before at any Korean restaurants, neither in Korea!!

The meeeaaaattt!!!

By Martin L |

The meat.... oh GOD the meat! Uh-MAY-Zing! But seriously, the quality of the meat is exceptional... rich, flavorful, and extremely tender. Set 3 is the way to go. This dude next to us polished off a whole set 3 by himself. I'm glad he got a whole set cuz he looked like he woulda eaten us if he had still been hungry... the 4 of us shared a large set 3 and it was just about right. The only reason this place doesn't get a full five stars is the relatively poor selection of pan chan (that's those little side dishes for you kbbq neophytes.). While they were good, there really should have been a better selection considering the price. Otherwise, food was great, service was great, all happy! Yay!

Great BBQ

By Miata |

Good BBQ. They have plenty of meat selections. The spicy jowl is now my new fav...but take that and add cheese OMG! I don't know why I've never had the cheese option at other places but its bomb. They give you plenty of Banchan(side dishes) and my mom liked them all. Covid info-We didn't wait to be seated but they take phone reservations. I'd call ahead. They have separators up so I felt safe with no mask while eating. The tables are also 6ft apart. I'll be back to try more dishes and soju. They also have togo kits which are great for bbq at home!

Great!

By NomadingNick |

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 My, my. The best Korean BBQ place yet! Kalbi ribs (bone-in), pork belly, side dishes all top notch, 5/5. The wait is somewhat long (30 minutes) but it is one of the few place i'll wait! Excellent looking decor, modern, great K-Pop music, and service is superb. Opens till 2am! Great place for eating and partying. Every city I go to I try to find the best Korean BBQ place and this is the best one yet in the US! This place is now top 3 reasons to visit Vegas! Yes, that is bold statement!

Great BBQ

First time visiting Korean restaurant, and hopefully not the last one. Tasty, nice and fast service, very friendly and professional stuff. Must visit if you like meat!

Best new joint in Vegas for KBBQ

By Goingplaces98 |

This is high end KBBQ in a faux low end Seoul BBQ styling. Not AYCE. The beef are all mostly aged prime angus beef, and that means their short rib kalbi is absolutely amazing. Their brisket is also one of the best I've ever had, and goes great on their sushi rice with a bit of wasabi. The beef combo also had an aged prime angus ribeye which was buttery and flavorful as well. With combos you also get their special dessert which are rice crackers (almost like rice puffs) sandwich filled with peanut power, red bean (I believe), and ice cream. This place just opened about 3 months ago, and is located in a business park on Spring Mountain past Decatur, so it's a bit of a drive from the strip, but definitely worth it. Two person combos are about $55-60 and is very reasonable for the amount of food and quality of meat they give. At this style of KBBQ the meat is all grilled for you at your table, and there were plenty of servers to be attentive to your grill at all times. As mentioned, the decor is a faux Seoul BBQ joint style with a meat shop decor for their kitchen. Their aging counter proudly displays all their beef and is gorgeous. The owner I believe does the meat slicing and is very proud of his craft. Best KBBQ in Las Vegas at least, and would be top tier as well in LA.

A lovely surprise

By pamelag180 |

My Granddaughters were returning to the UK and on the way to the airport we stopped for lunch at this place. They wanted Korean BBQ. I wasn't sure what I was letting myself in for, but I can tell you, it was not only fascinating, but luscious! Table side service to cook your food. Don't over-order as we did! $$$$$$$$$ Ask for their advice. Trust it's right.

Very Trendy Korean BBQ

By LiketoeatCincinnati |

This is a very trendy Korean BBQ restaurant. They offer side dishes but in a different manner than other Korean restaurants. They even had cheese, but they melt this for dipping the hot beef. The meats are wonderful and very filling. Excellent meal to be had.

Great experience for sure

By Martin L |

They use premium Heritage Pork humanely raised feeding 100% fresh vegetation and to our 100% pure premium Black Angus Beef. The grilling instrument has a closed top and and open fire option for the fire grilled steak. They add real charcoal for added flavor. Both the steak and the meat marinated meat needed some extra salt for cooking. I would like to see a higher temperature on the grill to get better flavor and grill marks on my steak. They offer to cook and cut the meat for you or you can do it yourself. For the best experience I would say do it yourself. We chose a family beef combo option. Price was reasonable. For the food part it came out to $25 per person. It is not AYCE, but you get enough. Maybe not the best but definitely worth trying.

Excellent Korean BBQ

By ny_travels7 |

The wait for Hobak was long but it was totally worth it. The quality meats are incredibly tasty and the service is generally very good. The waiter/waitress cooks the meat you order at the table and you can choose how you want the meat done but they recommend medium rare. They provide some dipping sauces and little accouterments to complement the meat (like kimchi) and you can ask for more if you run out. If you're sensitive to spice, be weary of the spicy food though, they tend to be more spicy than you'd find at western restaurants. Overall, Hobak was great, even if it was a little pricey. We left full but not stuffed, which is a bit of a change when in Vegas since excess reigns there.

Fun way to experience Korean cuisine

By mimi306 |

This is an experience as much as a delicious meal. Our son lived in Korea for a year and he said this was as close as you could get without being there. So many yummy condiments to start with, the meat is cooked in the center of the table, everything tasted to fresh. Definitely an interesting evening!

Awesomeness!!!

By jppmhami |

If you come to Vegas get here, food is great, atmosphere is fun, wait staff attendant is very helpful to explain it all. Fantastic and fun experience!!!

Outrageously good

By W3694DLchris |

We came to this restaurant at the suggestion of our Uber driver. Oh boy, we were so glad we came. The food was so so delicious. We never had Korean foods so we decided to order whatever our server, Hwijin, recommended. Food was good, service was even more fantastic. My husband decided Korean food is his favorite from now on. Thank you Uber driver; thank you Hwijin for such a wonderful service.

Best Korean BBQ in Las Vegas!

By We_Travel_A_Lot_2011 |

3rd time here and still love Hobak Korean BBQ. The servers are always accommodating and give you as much bon chon as you request. Today we were a party of 6 and were quickly seated. We ordered the family meat special and as always they cook it to your liking. We ha a mix of medium and well. The marinated meat was delicious and juicy. The bi bim bop is served in a tin and hand shaken to mix it up. We also ordered the bean paste soup and fried egg. Enjoy the pics and videos of the wonderful meal we had. The potato cake, Kimchee and salad are some of my favorite bon chon. In the front they have free popcorn. In the summer I was pretty sure it was free slushees so it's nice to see they change it up. I was also surprised to see in the restroom, a large canister of tooth brushes and bottles of mouth wash in case you wanted to freshen up after your meal. When you get the family meal, dessert is included and you get to pick two flavors, we had the strawberry and cookies and cream! Can't wait to come back and again!

Best in Vegas

By David J |

We have been coming here every other week since we have found out about this restaurant. Our favorite Korean BBQ in Vegas so far. We order dinner for 4 offering both beef and pork with ice cream sandwiches for desserts. Order the marinate over non marinate becoz of its sweet flavor. Very good quality overall and the place is clean. Come early becoz it gets supper busy early. With Vegas offering AYCE Korean everywhere, quality could be an issue.

Great food, very smokey

By Croood |

We ordered the pork neck, pork belly and pork ribs combination. The food was very flavorful and staff was friendly, but surprised that we could not order lettuce to make lettuce wraps. They only had ssamjang and garlic. It took about 10 minutes or so for our server to come to our table. Even after pushing the "help" button on the table twice. Our side dishes came before we even ordered which was a little odd, but can't complain. The ventilation in this place was really bad.

Decent Korean bbq

By Essie |

It was good but definitely not the best I've had. It's pretty off the strip. Food: - ordered the beef combo for 2 ($72) for 2 people which comes with brisket, pork belly, short rib & spicy pork - comes with steamed egg, rice and soup - the combo includes sushi rice balls to make your own meat on rice sushi balls - also comes with ice cream sandwich Service: - service was great as they cook the meat for you - wait time was minimal as we got there closer to 10pm For the price we paid, we didn't think it was worth it. Having tried so many different korean bbq places in LA, our expectations are definitely high. While it satisfied for the time being, we thought it was more mediocre.

One year later and still at the top

By Pierre C |

I will not change anything from what I wrote in July 2016 or maybe one thing it is even better The best Korean BBQ in the Western world not even a better one in Seoul

We must return! Great experience - food, price and location!

By Daniel FV |

I've been to Las Vegas many times but mostly stayed on The Strip or ventured as far as the outlets on the outskirts of the city. For this trip, I decided to explore other parts of Las Vegas. We went downtown to check out the pawn shops, Fremont Street and for dinner we decided to eat outside of The Strip. Our Lyft driver told us to check out the "Chinatown" of Las Vegas in Spring Mountain. I never heard of this part of town and didn't know it was a hub for Asian cuisine! Thai, Korean, Japanese and other fares abound in this area. We looked on Yelp! and decided on this spot... What a great choice! We were a total of four and ordered the three meat selection which came with appetizers (Kim Chi, some kind of salad and something else which I forgot what it was) two different beef selections, pork ribs, individual bowl of rice, sweet egg something and to top it off, these amazing ice cream sandwiches for dessert. The waiters (we had at least three different servers which was weird but I guess it's a group effort) were very attentive and friendly/polite. Much better experience than any Beni Hana. Clean and nice restaurant. Everything you want for a good meal. Oh, and they're open late!

Korean in Las Vegas' Chinatown!

By 305E40th4J |

We love Korean food, so we try Korean restaurants whenever we travel out-of-town. Hobak was the top-rated Korean restaurant in Las Vegas, so we left the Strip and headed to "Chinatown". We didn't have a reservation, but arrived around 5PM and were seated after a short wait -- our timing was excellent as the restaurant, which was already full, began to have a long line of people waiting for a table. The decor is industrial chic, which was fine. The free appetizers -- standard for a Korean restaurant -- were amazingly diverse and uniformly tasty: in fact, I was pretty much full by the time the barbecue service started. The meats were all cooked well and the service staff was very pleasant. The dessert, also included in the price of the meal, was very good (and one that I had never had before at any other Korean restaurant). The acid test: would I go back? Yes, it was very good, although I might order differently next time.

Cool BBQ spot!!

By Derrick1230 |

First time here and loved the pork belly, the kimchi stew, the ice cream for desert. I would like to try the marinaded pork ribs next time. This place gets busy so expect to wait after 6 pm.

Killer Korean in Vegas

By Stephen F |

A wonderful Korean Restaurant away from the strip. The service was so attentive and friendly. The dishes, including the numerous (and refillable) side dishes, were delicious. The waiter cooked the dinner at our table (many Korean restaurants make the diner do the cooking). The place was crowded and buzzing and serves late into the night. The choices for vegetarians are limited - glass noodles or buckwheat noodles, but they were tasty too.

Great food, excellent service, neat setting.

By coneheadsic |

One of the newer Korean restaurant in town, and one of the best. Unique setting. Food was fresh & plentiful. Service was fast & attentive. Everyone seemed to work together well.

Delicious KBBQ

By Alex R |

This place is amazing! Great service and great vibes! The quality of their meat selection is second to none. I always recommend this place for any type of kbbq cravings!

Great Korean BBQ

By tt5566 |

We were from Los Angeles and looking for something new instead of hotel buffet and too many sushi places in this town. This restaurant served the best beef and it has freshest beef I have ever had (direct from Texas farms within days - we did ask the chief cooker) . Although it took us 30 minutes to get in, I and my friends were very, very pleased with foods. it's cooked by the staff. We ordered a family meal of 4 people, and it took about 2 hours to complete the meal. It's really worth it and WORTH the wait. Note: To some Axx, stop complaining the wait. Restaurant cannot control the people who is eating and when they are going to leave. They do serve alcohol, so it might take longer. Be considerate...

great food and service

By Michael H |

My first visit to Korean BBQ, this place was fantastic, food was amazing, and the service was right there when needed, very attentive. Come to Vegas and make sure you visit Hoback.

Delicious Food in a Fun Environment

By BDiekema |

I love Korean food and have eaten it in many, many places - to include in Korea while I lived there for a year. THIS was delicious! The setting is fun and the food is cooked at your table. The entire staff is attentive, fun - simply a great place to go and the prices are truly reasonable. I recommend you order one of the combination meals - comes with plenty of meats (although they do offer vegan), the soups and kimchi dishes, and even an ice cream dessert - we had the green tea ice cream in a rice cake (like an ice cream sandwich). We will be visiting this restaurant again on our next trip to Vegas!

PREMIUM PORK COMBO

By sbbcampervan |

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we ordered the premium pork combo with galbi pork and beef brisket bean soup. The meats were nice quality and cooked to perfection. They had the nice crispy outside without being over cooked nor chewy. The galbi pork practically melted in your mouth. The steamed egg was delicious and seasoned well. Not too salty but had just enough for you to keep reaching for the next bite. The soup was a little bit salty but went perfectly with the rice. They are willing to refill sides if you ask so we did get a refill on the radish paper which helps cut through some of the fatiness in the meat. Ambience: 5/5 - very clean and feels nice overall. For a BBQ place, it didn't feel smokey at all Service: 5/5 - George was our cook and he was great! He cooked everything to perfection and matched our eating pace so we weren't overwhelmed nor just waiting for the next dish Value for price: 5/5 - bit pricer than some of the AYCE that you can find in Chinatown. However, definitely worth it for the quality and you will still be full

I had never done Korean BBQ before

By j3ffr3y111 |

We did family style with 5 colleagues of mine. This is a perfect size group for one table/grill. All but one of us were new to Korean BBQ and we were pleasantly surprised. It was so good and would definitely go again! Be ready to eat!

Excellent Korean Food in Vegas

By Meg F |

I highly recommend this restaurant to all the Asian who want a good Korean food dinner in Vegas! The beef is excellent! But no reservation is available! If you want to enjoy the food, you’d better go earlier to get a table!

Great ambiance

By Elmo1004 |

Good service, korean food and the decor and ambiance that is nostalgic to and 80's korea. They put rosemary on all the meats when grilling - which is not korean at all and takes away from the natural authentic korean bbq flavor and experience

Great Korean BBQ

By Amy G |

Its a short drive off the strip into Chinatown. Well worth it. We didn't have reservations for 2 and arrived around 8pm. Took about 10 minutes to be seated. Great food for the value. Staff cooks your choice of meat(s) and everything had great flavor. Place has a street/industrial feel to it.

VERY NICE

By Cherrie P |

Everything was very good, the staff cook your food at your table, they switched the grills out after every item. it was a very cool and fun night.

I thought I knew Korean Bbq

By IndySig |

Boy was I wrong. This place was quite a drive from the strip but well worth the drive. When they asked if we wanted the BBQ, the table was immediately covered with multiple small dishes. Everything (except Kim Che) was wonderful and they refilled once we finished. Be advised that the whole process takes about two hours and we were not aware of this. They were a bit disappointed when we had them grill our last two meats at the same time. Everything is. Everything is very good and the ice cream sandwich at the end is just amazing. The lunch for two can actually feed three or four people. Lots and lots of food.

Nice New Find (for me)

Arrived around 5:15pm and waited 5 minutes for a table for two. Took my daughter out to dinner and we decided to try something new. Never had Korean BBQ. When our table was ready, there was an assortment of Korean dishes like Kim Chi and condiments set up; probably why it took 5 minutes to seat us. As we were snacking on the veggies, we decided on the family combo for two, which had brisket, aged pork rib, aged short rib, & marinated skirt steak. Watching the meat cooking in front of us was an education; next time I can do it myself! A waiter/cook would come by and start the first meat and by the time we were finished eating it, the second meat had been put on the grill, and so on. There was so much food there, I forgot to ask what one cold soup was that had a tomato slice and tofu in it. Everything tastes great and the skirt steak was very tender. For dessert, we had a mango rice pop ice cream; an ice cream sandwiched between two thin rice cakes; a very nice way to end the meal. The service was great! I only wish we had found this place sooner! We are definitely going back! Oh, and the bathrooms have toothbrushes and toothpaste for customers because "nobody like bad breath!"

WOW!

I am not an easy critic. But after eating here, I don't think I ever want to eat Korean food anywhere else. What an amazing feast. We did the beef combo for two for $54. The exquisite ribeye steak they served would itself cost almost that much at a good steakhouse. Add to that the marinated skirt steak, the brisket, the endless supply of fresh appetizers (freely refilled), the hot and cold soups, the amazing green tea ice cream sandwich, along with the most friendly and efficient service possible, and you have a total winner!!! Go here, spend a couple of hours, and rejoice in an exquisite meal.

Accidental Find

Went in looking for a meal late afternoon / early evening. Staff were attentive and helpful. We ordered a sharing meal, but weren't expecting the amount of variety of sides we got included. All the food was excellent, the meat was perfectly cooked at the table by our server. While appearing a bit pricey from the outside, the quality and quantity of food makes this good value.

Delicious Korean BBQ

What a great find in Las Vegas Chinatown. After seeing so many options for Korean bbq we are so glad we decided on Hobak. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and modern. The portions are huge. Our family of 4 was full with the small family combo option. All the included sides and soup not to mention the ice cream dessert was a bonus!! Highly recommend this establishment.

OMG! This place is amazing!

We got a recommendation from our Lyft driver and went to Hobak. Needless to say, he was right and we loved everything we got. The steak was so tasty, the pork belly cooked just right on the grill. The soups were hot, but very good. We also wanted to try Soju, make sure that you get that drink and look up the traditional way to serve it to the table. Lastly, do not leave without desert. The ice cream is a must!

Best Korean in the West, better than in Seoul

The most important in a restaurant the food is excellent, actually the best Korean BBQ I ever went, even better than in Seoul. Service is excellent, professional and friendly. The design and comfort of the place are perfect. And finally for this exceptional quality a very fair price, excellent value for money

An interesting twist to Korean BBQ

By Terry S |

First time visiting this restaurant. Be prepared to wait for a table. The quality of meats were very good, and portions are huge. Not to waste food, we asked for one set tof bbq meat to be sent back. The staff was very friendly. Thr atmosphere is fun and casual. The side dishes were not traditional (Serrano chili dipping sauce, small amount of cheese for vegetables, less use of garlic) but still very good. This is the twist.

Pretty authentic Korean, in a non typical setting

Pretty big meals so come hungry. All of the food was very good and there was lots of it. The food tasted like good Korean restaurants anywhere else, but the atmosphere was definitely trendier. I didn't notice any Korean servers if that means anything to you. But surprisingly, the food was pretty authentic. What I really liked is that the servers cooked the food at the table. I'm not much into cooking my own food at restaurants, especially relatively pricey ones, so this was nice. So much good food and Korean beer too.

Good Korean BBQ

This was recommended by a friend that is local to Vegas. It is on our list of things to do every time we come back. Food is well seasoned and meat is melt in your mouth tender. Cooked at your table in front of you. The sides, soups are plentiful and you won’t leave hungry. Take your time and enjoy the experience.

Another year, another trade show

I cannot recommend Hobak Korean BBQ enough. I love the open grill format that is offered here. Not too many places in Vegas have that and it adds a great char to the Meat. Hobak does not serve an all you can eat menu. But the family meals are more than enough to feed four people. We ordered the Beef Combo with a side of Pork Belly. They only offer Angus Beef. The aged Short Ribs were the best of all the meat. And none of the food disappointed us. Servers cook all the food and I loved that they served Sushi Rice with Wasabi with the thin sliced Brisket of Beef. The Seasoning on the Meats was perfect. No complaint at all on that. The side dishes tasted alright. Not bad. I would recommend this place to others that are coming to Vegas.

By far the best Korean bbq!

My family has 4 grown ups and 1 child, we would get the small family combo number 3 I believe the one with spicy marinated meat and non spicy I believe, that combo fills us up!

Rude manager

Horrible experience all around. The manager in particular was super rude. Would not recommend visiting this establishment.
