Excellence

By Tokumi M |

My friend treated me to dinner here and it was excellent. I like there shrimp entree with fried rice it was cooked to perfection. After dinner I ordered for dessert the lychee creme brulee because everyone was talking about it at our table and I have to say that is the best creme brulee I have ever had cause it wasn't too sweet and it was delicious.

Best Teppanyaki in Las Vegas

By Matt G |

Hands down, some of the best hibachi I've had in Vegas! Hokkaido Teppanyaki Hibachi Steakhouse delivers on both entertainment and flavor. The Las Vegas teppanyaki scene has a gem here. The food was fresh, the chef was hilarious, and the whole experience was fantastic. Will definitely be back for more!

Worth the drive

By Jan B |

Even though it is far off the strip, this teppanyaki and sushi restaurant certainly merits the drive out, the food and service is excellent and the prices very reasonable, largely offsetting the taxi fare if you compare with strip pricing. The symphony menu will bring you all it needs to fall in love with this style of cooking and eating and with the best scallops and lobster in my book i will certainly try to return next CES.

Excellent food, great atmosphere

Found this place before i left the UK and it was a must for myself and my Fiancee who both love teppanyaki, and we were not dissapointed. We had a really good evening with our chef playing the pivotal role in making it what it was! Highly recommend!

Best Hibachi grill in Las Vegas, Summerlin or Henderson

By Phenomjet |

Excellent food and service, far superior to Benihana. My favorite is Land and Sea with lobster, filet, scallops, fried rice, soup, salad and desssrt. Great sake choices from Japan for only 20 a bootle. Kids love food and chef entertainment. Jennifer and her family are great owners and hosts.

good eats!

Nice teppanyaki for locals. With that said, kids are included with locals dining. Definitely a family spot.

Excellent! Food was amazing, hostess was very informative, chef was extremely accommodating to customers requests. Highly recommended.

We can't decide if it was more delicious or more fun!?!?!

Some of the very best Teppanyaki in Las Vegas. HTSH has been on the far west side of the Las Vegas valley for about 9 years now and has a strong following due to the great ambiance AND fun AND awesome food. Not inexpensive but worth the 'special-night-out' treatment you receive from when you walk into the door until you are too stuffed to even think about dessert! Our personal chef was fun and funny AND most-importantly - a great cook. A wonderful time was had by all and we will certainly be back!

Birthday Dinner Fun

By WondaWomen702 |

My nephew always bug me and my sister to take him here anytime we ask the kids where they want to go for dinner. They call this place the Chop Fire restaurant and it is the chop fire restaurant because they cut the shrimp fast and do all those fun things. The kids always finish their plate when they come here and it is great cause this is the only place they eat their veggies. I also like coming here for their sushi and my sister gets the teppan so it works out best for the two of us.

Been there over 100 times. Important hints:

Teppanyaki: What makes this place better than Benihana, Osaka, etc. is the quality of the food, it is extremely high. Every meat order comes with two little shrimp. My favorite is the Filet Mignon and scallop combo. If you love miso soup, you'll love their version, its *not* watered down. Their mixed tempura is to "die for", especially the dipping sauce. I live across the street, so I go there all the time. Matt is going to be your best chef. If you are having an important party and want to make sure everything is just 100%, ask for him. They do have a corking fee now, so you can bring your own bottle of wine. Sushi: if you come late at night, they could be out of their popular fish, such as yellow tail. This is a good thing because you know its fresh. The sushi is above average, but definitely not the best in town. Must: if you plan on going there on a holiday such as Mothers Day, be sure to make a reservation. Its not required, but it will help a lot! Downside? They do not offer Black Hot Tea, nor do they offer a really good Chardonnay . Since both store very well, I have no idea why they don't do this.

Definitely not worth the money

I wanted to like this place because I brought a coworker here and we both walked away feeling like it was a 2.5 - 3. My filet mignon had no other seasoning but pepper, the fried rice had a very odd taste to both of us. The only redeeming things were the shrimp and chicken, both of which were delicious.

Best Hibachi!

By Kate W |

Being from the East Coast, hibachi is slightly different out in the West. I am SO happy we finally found this place because it is literally the closest to what we are used to! Our chef was awesome and since we were the only people at our table, we got to chit-chat a lot more with him! I am ready to go back already!

Worth the trip off the strip!

By Bobward757 |

If quality Teppanyaki is important to you Want to get away from the Strip crowd, this is one of the top Teppanyaki restaurants I’ve ever been to. A family run restaurant, by far the cleanest one I’ve ever seen. The quality of the filet blew me away. Regular prices, not strip prices. AND, they don’t make you wait until the table is full like other restaurants. Get away from the strip, get away from the chains. SO worth the cab fare! Thanks Jason-son for a memorable meal!

Good food

We were in Vegas and found this restaurant off of the strip. The food was delicious and the service amazing. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Don't go for the Sushi

By Scott F |

My stomach hurt 15 mins after eating there. The sushi was old, not fresh at all. Even the wasabi was old and brown. I also ordered fried soft shell crab appetizer and it tasted like the frying oil had not been changed in 6 months. I got the impression they are more concerned about squeezing every penny of profit out of you with little regard for the quality of food served. I can only hope the hibachi is better than the very poor sushi. I would never eat sushi there again.

Local Tepanyaki and Sushi at its best

By Anna W |

I always enjoy coming here and last month got the chance to bring my father who was visiting from the Midwest...which was a hit! Hokkaido is great in that you can have the sushi bar, sushi and a full menu in the restaurant, or tepanyaki with your neighbors. My husband and I love the warm interior and it looked familiar. We found out the grills were bought from the now closed tepanyaki restaurant at Bellagio. Well, we are happy to have them in Summerlin now!

Waste of money

By Chris S |

My family and I love Hibachi restaurants, we go every chance we get to eat out. We were excited when we found it only to be extremely disappointed by the end of the evening. The portions of everything were very small. The noodles WERE gross. And the fried rice just tasted weird. By far the worst hibachi restaurant we have ever come across.(and equal/more amount of money) We left cross and still hungry. The filet was tasty and we loved the sauce on the shrimp.

Excellent Service, Great Food

By Krista T |

I found this little gem on trip advisor. It is away from downtown and we took a Uber. In Vegas with some friends for their anniversary. Staff was GREAT, and the food was DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic restaurant!

By Guy A |

We wanted to try the teppanyaki experience for the first time whilst on vacation in vegas but didnt want to pay the extorted on-the-Strip prices so looked out of town for some options. Found this restaurant, booked online and went early and what a fantastic meal!! And amazing value too! We were four people, it was no problem booking, the food was out of this world and the experience and service fantastic. Definitely reccomend it!!

Favorite Spot

By maxcake |

I recently moved into this neighborhood of Summerlin and this was the first place I tried out when I was staying at the Element Hotel when scouting out where to live. The first time I tried the seafood sauce I was in love. The second time I came her the server remembered who I was and asked if I would like the same drink I had the last time I came. I was impress on how they remembered everything I ordered and they made me feel welcomed. Now since I' am a local here this is my stop when I need a awesome meal.

The best dinner five nights in Las Vegas

By Sam C |

It is in the residential area and way out of the strip, not difficult to find with GPS. The interior of the restaurant was well set with four (?) large grills. It is comfortable and not noisy. I ordered the filet mignon, very tasty. The chef's presentation was excellent. The price is much less than the one in my hotel/casino.

The experience

By Omer A |

The experience first of all, as this was the first time we all tried this cooking experience, it was memorizing and great. The shef was funny, took the time to explain and create a great experience. The food was very good to, meats and shrimps done in perfection, tender and spiced in a perfect way. Nit sure when I'll get to the area again but this is for sure a place to return to.

Very good food and service but very expensive

By kencatron |

This is a typical tepanyaki restaurant, full of entertainment and fun. The chefs were good, the food was excellent, but the prices were much higher than most other restaurants of the same type. It seemed like there was less rice and vegetables as well. Although the establishment was very clean, modern, and nice we probably won't be returning due to the exhorbitant prices.

Great food and attention to detail

By Maria D.C |

The service here is outstanding. They are truly attentive to any needs. Refills and finished plates are taken care of very quickly. The chefs are great and are good at entertaining. Our chef Lee was wonderful! The restaurant is very clean itself. The filet minon is very tender and juicy. The shrimp tastes very fresh at well. The dessert menu isn’t that large but the items are delicious. The lychee crème brûlée tastes very clean and isn’t overly sweet. Great restaurant!

Delicious!

Very good sushi

By zoshyii |

I had the sushi. It was very good. The nigiri items I ordered were fresh, well balanced, and well presented. Service was good, and the environment was well lit and warm.

Fun and good food

We enjoyed a girls night out at Hokkaido in Las Vegas. What fun. We were entertained by our Chef. The food was very good.

Love the experience

By cityboy_nz |

Love the Teppanyaki experience, love the ginger dressing on the salad, tasty soup, delicious shrimp app, had the chicken and filet mignon, the steak was out of this world tender and juicy, and I have my steak well done! The staff were very friendly and attentive, I never had an empty glass of sprite throughout the night. We had an entertainment voucher for a BOGO, meal was $27.95 each which is still a great deal for everything you get. Will be back for sure.

Fun evening but a few challenges

By Diane L |

We enjoyed our meal and evening but not as much as we usually do. The sauces were not as good as usual which was disappointing but the food was well prepared and otherwise, tasty. The bathroom was not clean which is something I always notice. We may not be back unfortunately.

One of Summerlin's best hidden gems!

By TheVegasTrippers |

We have been eating at Hokkaido since it opened and I am still as impressed with the food now as I was when we first started going. Jennifer and her family have put together a nice, family styled restuarant that serves up wonderful teppanyaki and sushi creations in a clean, modern atmosphere. The saki and wine selections are solid and the quaint size of the restaurant adds to the family atmospere. What's better than a great dinner and a show? We highly recommend Hokkaido and you should try it too. Tell Jen we sent you.
