Quaint and festive

By Sally D |

We enjoyed 9am reservations on Mother's Day at Home. Set amidst homes in the Los Feliz neighborhood, this restaurant has a beautiful patio with large banquettes, wooded tables, trees and a fountain decorated with fun figurines that all of the children present seemed to love. The food was very good and well priced. I had the HOMEmade crabcake version of Eggs Benedict & my son had the American breakfast. The service was also very good and friendly considering the very busy holiday. Seems like a great place for a casual date in the evening due to the setting and the addition of strings of lights at night. I would definitely return.

This has become "Our" place to meet for brunch!

By turtlegal0624 |

My brunch friend and I have made the rounds of so many cafes and "in" spots all over Hollywood and L.A. We finally decided that we love Home, so it's our "go to" brunch spot. Food is great; service is always good, and they're pet friendly. The only problem we have, if you can call it a problem, is that the portions are way too big. If you can control yourself, of course, you'll have leftovers for the next day. Parking is on the scarce side, but Home is worth walking several blocks, if you have to.

Favorite restaurant in LA

By AVL33 |

We come here at least once for brunch every time we're in LA. We've never had a bad meal (or bad dish, or bad bite...). Everything is delicious and they have a great variety of offerings. The menu accommodates pretty much any dietary needs - vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, paleo - and everything is delicious! Favorite dish is their french toast; but again, everything we've tried has been delicious. Service is also excellent.

"There's no place like Home!"

Nice cool place with outdoor seating. Hostess and servers were extremely nice and several came by during our meal to see if we needed anything. Drinks, appetizers, meal was very good. I would definitely recommend. More for the young hipster crowd.

We loved it

By Julita T |

We went to this restaurant before leaving to the airport an we really loved it ( we were 5 ) We had to wait 45mn before getting the table but the food was great. As a vegan I could eat a burger, my friends all enjoyed their meal.

Really unique brunch spot

By Allison D |

There's nothing like this place in New York. Despite being outside, the patio area felt completely private and was a really unique atmosphere. Everything we had was delicious and reasonably priced, and there was a good crowd even on a late weekday morning.

Great food!

By Reactor1966 |

Went for dinner with a large group (8 people). Didn't have a reservation but were seated in about 30 mins, which was better than I expected. Every dish was great! I had the short ribs pot pie and it was fantastic. Our main server was also awesome, as well as the other guys who were helping. They were incredibly attentive, my wife just made a comment to me about it being a bit cool on the patio and then suddenly one of the guys was bringing over a heater. Would definitely go back if I am in the area again.

Yum

By 7152014 |

We came in with a table of 10 at 10am. They were able to sit us very quickly. The waitress was very attentive. The food tasted great. The restaurant was full but we did not have to wait any amount of time to order or for the food to come out. The serving sizes are really big. I ordered the breakfast quesadillas. Yum. I couldn't eat it all. I wish we had a Home Restaurant in Texas. There was not one complaint at our table!

Just what we needed

By AlwaysALocal |

We headed here after visiting my nephew in CHLA. Needless to say, we were wiped out and in need of a relaxing evening. Home was just what we needed. The atmosphere was relaxing and laid back, the food was great, and the staff was fantastic. My niece loved feeding the fish in the fountain, and the adults enjoyed an evening dining outside. Not our first visit, and definitely won't be our last!

Great food and gorgeous setting

Had a wonderful meal in the beautiful garden setting. Great menu with lots of options. Super friendly staff too!

AMAZING!

By BruceCkingIn |

This is my cousin's favorite restaurant and now I know why! During a recent visit, we grabbed some dinner here and the lemon chicken piccata was fantastic. Great atmosphere, great food, and dog friendly! I highly recommend the french toast a la mode for dessert. I've never had anything more delicious in my life. Service was timely and fantastic and our server was kind and friendly. Definitely check out this place - love eating at places where the locals hang out!

Home cooked comfort

By Matt88usa |

Had a great day out with a visit to the Griffith observatory before sunset. Headed down to Los Feliz and stumbled across this fantastic cosy looking restaurant. We were warmly welcomed seated and the food options looked amazing we both chose the slow braised ribs served with garlic mash baby carrots and kale in a delicious sauce the ribs melted in the mouth it was delicious. It really topped of our last night in Los Angeles we were on vacation from England we would highly recommend you dine hear good value and quality and the service is fantastic our server she was lovely polite and informative thank you.

Great food, great service

By CJE55 |

We had supper here after a long drive from Yosemite. It was convenient for where we were staying in Los Feliz but, having found it, it's worth the trip from any part of LA within reason. Our waitress, Britany, was delightful and the food was excellent. I had the fish tacos which were put together with care and subtlety - a fantastic combination of flavours. My wife had hummus which was also first class and attractively presented. The food was washed down with (in my case) a couple of pints of Point The Way IPA and (in my wife's) endless lemonade. As the main courses had been so good we chanced a pudding, French toast with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel sauce. It was up there with the fish tacos. Go Home if you can!

Always DELICIOUS!!!

By 793nancya |

Home NEVER disappoints! Every single time I take friends, they love it just as much as I do. Service is great and I love to lounge at the tables around the edges the best. I try to get different things each time I go, but you can never go wrong with crab cakes or anything with French fries!! LOVE the Bellini, but every other cocktail I've tried has been great too! Keep it up, HOME ...I'll keep coming back. Cheers.

Top restaurant

Excellent cocktails, dishes beautifully presented and delicious, maximum attention and excellent service. Welcoming and pleasant environment!!!

Gotta come here!

By Sherri S |

Amazing is all I can say! Sit on the patio the ambience is very cool. The staff from hotess to manager were very nice. Chris our server was beyond outstanding! He assisted us with our menu selections as it was our first visit time. He was authentic, paitient, funny and knowledgeable! The meatloaf sandwich was mouth watering delicious! Our sides , which were salads , were so fresh and the homemade dressings were yummy! German chocolate cake was very good .....we just would have preferred it room temp instead of cold. Will definitely return!

Not safe for gluten free diners

By Thea F |

I had made previous visits to Home where I was treated with friendliness and politeness, but ever since I was diagnosed with celiac disease, Home became a place to avoid for me. On one trip, I specified to the staff that I was intolerant to gluten, asked a bunch of questions, and was satisfied that they knew what they were doing with the gluten free vegan burger I ordered... and then they toasted my gf challah bun in a shared toaster and brought it to me, which made me sick. On the visit I'm talking about here, I received some very unfriendly service. My boyfriend and I went to the restaurant about 8:30 p.m. and were seated quickly and given a warm welcome from our server. We didn't have any problems until I tried to order. The vegan burger is marked on the menu at the Los Feliz location as being gluten free, so I ordered that and asked my server if they could toast the bun in the oven instead of the toaster so it wouldn't get contaminated, but also wouldn't turn into a soggy mess because it wasn't toasted. She said she'd see what she could do about that and went into the kitchen. The server came back and let me know that the grill that the vegan burger is toasted on is also used to toast breaded soy chicken patties, and furthermore, the grill cannot be cleaned off because it remains very hot during the hours when the kitchen is using it. So, not only could I not have a toasted burger, but there was also a very strong likelihood that the vegan burger patty, although gluten free, would be cooked on a surface with gluten traces. I asked about the salads on the menu, many of which do not appear to contain gluten ingredients, but are not marked gluten free. To help me get my questions answered, the server brought out a member of the kitchen staff. This is where my experience turned very unpleasant. I asked this man why the salads weren't marked gluten free. He first said that NO items on the menu are marked as gluten free. I pointed out that the vegan burger is and that the menu also indicates that customers with allergies can ask about specific dishes and that the restaurant could help accommodate them. Then he said, "It only says gluten free as a suggestion. I don't understand what you want to know here." I asked if I could get a salad made without gluten, and he said no, that the salads are not gluten free, and repeated that he didn't understand what I was asking. I asked if he was sure that these salads that don't contain gluten ingredients couldn't be modified with a different dressing. He told me that ALL the dressings contain soy sauce. I asked him if he was sure that the lemon champagne vinaigrette, the balsamic vinaigrette, or red wine vinaigrettes contained soy sauce, since that seems like a strange ingredient to put in a vinaigrette. He rolled his eyes, snorted, and said, "Well, I can go check," and got up and left. He was gone for a while, too. He made me feel like I was creating a lot of trouble and bother for him, and furthermore, he told me several things that were not true just because he didn't want to help me. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome in a restaurant before. My boyfriend and I got up and left after his rude, unaccommodating interaction with us and went to a restaurant down the block, where the staff welcomed us warmly and were happy to answer questions about their menu and help me find something delicious that I could safely eat. Although we have enjoyed eating at Home many times before, and have brought friends and family from out of town to eat at this restaurant, we will not being going back again after that treatment, and we will be sure to let our friends know why that is. I would not recommend that diners with food allergies eat here, despite what the menu says about accommodating food allergies and sensitivities. Home is yet another example of Los Angeles area restaurants who irresponsibly claim that certain of their dishes are gluten free when they are prepared on shared surfaces, in shared fryers, or with shared utensils, or with cross-contaminated ingredients, so although they don't contain gluten ingredients, they are not "gluten free" in any meaningful sense. It is frustrating that restaurants are happy to serve "gluten free" food for ill-informed people who think that "gluten is bad for you" and avoid it even though they have no intolerance or sensitivity to it, but are fine with eating it sometimes... but when you come in with an actual food intolerance or allergy, you are made to feel like a nuisance in a restaurant whose menu indicates that they will try to serve you. Just so everyone reading this knows, the medical community generally believes that non-celiac gluten sensitivity doesn't exist. If you avoid gluten only part of the time, you're either wasting your time or not treating your gluten sensitivity with the seriousness it deserves. When you eat at a restaurant that claims to have gluten-free dishes, don't be afraid to ask questions. More often than not, restaurants with "gluten-free" menu items are not offering food that is safe for anyone truly sensitive to gluten. Home is one of those restaurants, sadly.

Delicious food! Great atmosphere!

Delicious food! Great atmosphere! We came with our kids and they really enjoyed it as well. Food was fresh and service was wonderful and very quick.

A great find for dinner! Los Feliz

By C H |

Great spot! For us tourists it’s nice to find a place which seems authentic and a real destination. The atmosphere is great. The food was very tasty and hot. I recommend calling ahead. Gets busy. Valet parking was useful. A fun place for dinner.

Worst potato wedges ever

By Lars B |

Went there with my wife and two kids. I ordered medallions with rosemary potato wedges as side. Meat was OK grilled but I have honestly never had that bad potato wedges. They can only be that dry by being warmed up 2nd time. Even though it was a nice atmosphere and fine enough service the food itself was simply too bad. The rest of the family was OK with their food, but not at all thrilled

Choose the Waffle Fries

By cuetxpie |

I've been coming to Home for at least a good 10+ years since my work is located down the street. It's got great food and it's close. For many years, my go to dish was the Steak Sandwich. However on a recent visit I was surprise to see that the meat was different. It was more of a thick cut instead of what I'm use to receiving, which was the thinly sliced beef. The sandwich was still tasty but I won't be ordering that again. Love their waffle fries! (That's one thing that has been consistent throughout the years!) So last week we decided to go to Home again. This time I ordered the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup. As expected the food was delicious! However when my food was brought out, I noticed that the toasted ciabatta bread didn't come with the soup. I asked the server about the missing bread. He said it doesn't come with it... WHAT? Was this guy new? It says right on the menu (and the online menu) that all the soups came with it! Even after I told him it's on the menu he said no. But in the end he hesitantly went to go get it. NOT COOL. Love the food. Not a fan of that server.

Lotta Frittata

By Jim L |

All the superlatives for the Home have been employed so I'll just say it's a genuinely enjoyable experience. I had my first wedged frittata here--thought it was a slice of cheesecake when it came to the table. But it was very tasty, generous portion. Indeed it was a lotta frit. May have to return just for the coffee, also very pleasing. I would've gladly gone for the full five stars but parking was a problem. For a city that gave us car culture the town needs more parking!

Great lunch spot!

By pigeon33 |

While visiting LA last month my friend took me here for lunch. We sat outside. I ordered a soy chicken burger sandwich. Not real chicken, but I wanted to try something different. It was terrific! really tasty, not dry, not greasy, just right. The sandwich came with a mixed green salad and excellent house dressing. My friend told me it was one of her favorite places. I could see why!

omg French Toast!

By 1022angiec |

Breakfast all day, yes thanks! - went on Sunday morning just before 10a was seated right away. great patio! servers were pretty friendly. French toast was really really good, and the California eggwich pretty hearty and tasty.

Popular eatery with outdoor patio to enjoy your meal.

By azcheesefan |

My wife, daughter and I enjoyed our breakfast sitting out on the patio. My daughter recommended the place and she visits the eatery with her husband. My breakfast was very good and the bacon was terrific! My daughter had the crab Benedict and said it was really good. My wife did not like her dish. She did say she wished she would have order the avocado toast with a salad. I suggest you giving it a try when you are near.

Great ambiance, service and food!

By Caroline L |

Stopped in for a drink on a Sunday evening and was able to go right in. Our server was excellent and we tried the chilaquiles which was pretty good. I love the ambiance of this restaurant and will return for breakfast very soon!

Great Food Every Time

By hopeisatraveler |

I have come here for birthday lunches, Saturday breakfast, Sunday brunch, etc. The staff is very friendly and the food is consistently delicious. If you choose to sit outside, you will sit in a lovely courtyard. It's a wonderful experience!

Truly "Homey"

By Tiffany H |

Great place, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff... a nice place to hang out for a long lunch. The menu has something for everyone. Salads are fantastic, as are the nachos and fried dill pickles. My only complaint was my Honey Ginger Mojito didn't have ginger and the mint was in pretty bad shape and the drink was overpriced. Los Feliz is a lovely neighborhood.

Acceptable but wouldn't make a point of visiting again

By The2KsAuckland |

Visit prompted by an ad in the hotel we were staying at which implied American Diner ambience (well, to me anyway, homely waitress with pleasant smile, uniform and scarf). Couldn't distinguish any theme which was ok, it's not compulsory. Dinner visit. Pleasant staff. Outdoor area pleasant to sit in but a bit dark. I enjoyed the house wine chardonnay and my dining partner really like the "X rated vacation" (groan, why couldn't she have just had a mimosa) cocktail? The burger and pie we order were ok, what I'd call average pub food. I'm not keen on salad with my pie but then, this is America, got to watch our waistlines.

Home !!!

They have amazing bloody marry !!! Every time I go I go for that :)) Overall, the place, the service and food are very good. Absolutely recommended !!!

Good food but that's about it

By Samidj1975 |

Cute place but sit outside at all cost. We unfortunately sat inside. Big mistake. I can honestly say that this restaurant is the LOUDEST restaurant I have ever eaten in... and I've been all over the world. I could barely stand it. Was there with my daughter and fiancé. We waited a long time to be served. In the mean time we had to endure loud, cackling/ screaming conversations of other patrons that was like nothing I have ever experienced. I had the hardest time understanding any of my own family as we sat a waited for our food. The weirdest thing is there were only four tables in the room we were seated in but it echoed and I think the clientele is young and rather self centered type. Not a lot of manners for sure. Food was good but I wish I could have left with out a massive headache. Unbelievable!!! If I could record and post the magnitude of the noise I would.

THE MUST Saturday brunch place

By Joseph S |

Best vibe for a Saturday morning brunch, plenty of breakfast options and a sneaky mimosa is optional. Friendly service, makes you feel like it's breakfast at home... Minus the dish washing afterwards!

Fantastic atmosphere

By treetree63 |

Great service, very good food, welcoming team, very good atmosphere, wonderful find while on holiday - yes UK visitors - LA you are lucky to have such a gem - thank you for a good experience

lovely place but awful food

By kamil |

Really nice place but the food was really an average experience. we ate tuna crispy rice (not tasty), tacos (awful) and shrimp tempura (nice one)

Lovely soot

By Autumn W |

Stumbled on this little gem on our way to The Griffith Observatory. Great spot for dinner before a show at the Greek. Atmosphere, service and food all top notch! We will be coming back for dinner to see the lights on the patio at night. This place is a new LA favorite! $5.00 valet parking in LA is a plus!

Great patio seating

By MaryKop |

Stopped in for brunch while visiting family in the area. It's very popular, so expect to wait--they'll text you when your table is ready, though (Go next door for a drink while you wait). We ate outside in the patio area, which is shaded by big trees and was totally delightful. Fast, friendly service. We had a quesadilla, huevos benedicto and a fritatta. All were excellent. Fair amount of food per plate. Bloody Mary's were tasty--as were the mimosas! Highly recommended. We'll come back!

Great outside/inside restaurant

By bhall87 |

Be sure to make reservations ahead of time, so you can be seated outside on the patio. Great atmosphere and great food.

Great Turkey Burgers

By DMJA21 |

This is one of my favorite places to eat lunch in LA. I love the shady outside atmosphere and they present a varied menu at reasonable prices. But above all else I love their turkey burgers.

Where you would want to spend every Sunday morning

By se_bonilla |

Its homie feel does the name justice. Spent a wonderful Sunday morning there, fabulous brunch. Very relaxing vibe to it. #Recommend: Eggs Benedict with a vermouth on the rocks

Very Good Lunch

By FrequentTraveller034 |

We enjoyed a few mimosas and shared a tasty Tuna Tartare. The Fish & Chips was excellent and the Crab Benedict was plentiful and very good. Very nice atmosphere and service as well. We will return for sure.

Delicious

By cordell13 |

Brought our family to this restaurant after a day of fun. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious!! The bacon mac & cheese and the fish and chips were the favorites, but everything we ate was great! We would definitely recommend it.

No place like HOME...

We love it here! The food is delicious and it is really nice to sit outside in the shade of the beautiful trees. We will be back!

Excellent selection

Fine set of meals for the three of us....well cooked and presented. Reasonable wine list and a good selection.A good find Helpful and friendly service on a busy evening would come again

Brunch

By Michael M |

It's a shame when a restaurants food is amazing and the service is horrible. It took over a half hour to get appetizers and then we were given excuses..not even an apology. This will be my last time coming here. Such a shame.

There's No Place Like ...

By ruvtoeatpetfriendly |

HOME! Arrived for breakfast ... Everything on menu looked delic! Bacon Mac & Cheese - served ALL day! You must try this! Also ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla so we could split and enjoy both!! Outdoor enclosed patio seating ... Patio heaters kept the chill off ... Dog Friendly!! Music selection 80's English New Wave ... Relaxing and not distracting.

Started off well.....

By VikEm |

We'd just been on a hike in Griffith park and decided to stop for lunch on our way back. Home was recommended by our hiking guide and as we were seated and looked at other diners food we were happy with our choice. We started with a sharer of nachos with added beef. Very nice, with all the toppings. We then ordered a main each of chicken noodle soup and a salmon salad. They came out as chicken soup and a chicken wrap. We pointed out the error with the order and then a whole load of gossiping and pointing was aimed at us from different members of staff away from the table. A drink was then ordered brought to us and plonked on the table without a word. Eventually the salmon salad turned up with over cooked salmon and no dressing on a very boring plate of greens. No one asked if the food was ok, even though there was most of the salmon salad was left on the plate. The plates were removed with no pleasantries at all. This place is slightly above mediocre at best, I would normally allocate 3 stars for the food and environment, but the service that followed upon out pointing out a mistake was not nice at all. We were made to feel very awkward.

Impressive

By Ppoupore |

Impressive menu with many vegan options, vegan pastries, superior lattes, an unbeatable healthy omelet that not only tastes good but is quite a looker!! Great service with a smile

I Was Embarrassed At Poor Service and Quality of Food

By clsm929 |

I have eaten at Home in Los Feliz many dozens of times. We arrived in LA this evening and talked my sister in law, who loves Alcove, to join us for dinner at Home. Sadly, this was an error in judgment. The service bordered on rude and was past poor. The food was cold, tough and unlike the many meals I have loved here. I will give it one more try, but never with Johnny as my server. Shame on you, Home, and can assure that my sister in law will never return.

Like no courtyard in my home, better

By Lynn J |

I went to Home Restaurant last month with a dozen family members after a post wedding work day. I was wiped out but still realized this place has seriously good food and drinks. It was an evening and I was glad for the valet parking. The atmosphere was comfortable and homey, not too noisy, and service was attentive without being bothersome. I had noticed long before I went there how popular it is in the Los Feliz area, with people often waiting outside. With so many varied people in our party we must have tried half the menu and all the comments I heard were positive. To single out one item, be sure to try the amusing Spicy Mac and Cheese Bites. I liked this answer to soul food; this is among my family's "ethnic food" but I don't want to order a dish of it when dining out. It was a fun tasty hors d'oeuvre. I look forward to trying more of their varied menu.

Another Terrific Meal!!

By Nancy F |

I met a friend for dinner; it is such a lovely place to meet. So many pretty lights on the patio. The food was GREAT! My friend had the multi-grain bowl and I had the salmon salad. Super yummy. We shared the french toast with caramel and ice cream for dessert. Heavenly. I just love everything about this place....the food, the service and the atmosphere.

Good Honest Food

In LA visiting our daughter. She took us to Home in Los Feliz. Pleasant porch seating. Friendly fast service. I had the Chicken with baby carrots and rosemary potatoes... Delicious! I would return if I lived in LA

Excellent!

The food is delicious, the bloody mary's even better! I try to go here every time I'm in LA. Outdoor seating is really nice, service is good. Great place for brunch or families. Highly recommend. Good value, too!

Fathers Day Brunch

By Cleomissy |

Lots of people waiting to be seated, but with our reservation, we were seated almost immediately. Nice menu, good food, attentive staff. Cute restaurant. We were seated in the "treehouse" and had a great view of the restaurant below.

Nice environment, good food.

By Lord Pistachio |

The food at home is not bad by any means. In fact, I quite enjoy it and offer to go there everyone and awhile. There is a nice aura about the place. I enjoy their mac'n'cheese, fried chicken and waffles, and hot chocolate. Home is very cozy, it's a good place for a romantic evening or a family lunch. That is one of the very appealing aspects of Home, it is very versatile. Service can be slow, but not so slow that you get impatient, just don't plan on going there for a quick bite. As for parking there is not much street parking, but there is a valet available. The waiters/ waitresses are all very nice, and warm.

good food, great environment

By Amanda F |

My favorite part about this place was the unique patio and decor. It will be a wait to sit outside, but definitely worth it. Great drink selection, excellent food. We liked everything we tried; it was all fresh and light. Our server was awesome in helping us choose drinks, and getting our food and bill to us in a timely matter. This place was so busy and the staff was clearly hustling, but she was still so friendly and helpful. Loved the fish tacos!

Would absolutely return

By Natalie G |

Exceptional atmosphere, especially outdoors at night. Food was delightful and filling, cocktails were out of this world, and there’s a pleasant buzz of trendy energy floating around amongst the fairy lights!

DOROTHY WOULD BE PROUD

By Dale M |

Well, it’s not in Kansas, but from the very start, you felt like you were right at home. My family were in LA doing college tours and my wife had seen this restaurant on an episode of the Netflix series, Love. Glad she found this place because it was such a nice experience. To start, the atmosphere is just great being seated out in the patio area. Our server was very attentive and came to the table at all the right times. Very professional in my opinion. Now, the food. Every dish we had was spot on. Nice size portions for sure and packed full of flavor. My family all shared each other’s dishes. The jerk seasoned pork chop, blueberry pancakes, tequila lime pasta with chicken and the bacon mac n’ cheese. All so good! You do have to pay for the valet parking but I guess just about everything in LA you do. Overall, definitely a place I would come again too when back visiting LA. Thanks Home for doing what you do, keep it up!

Great cozy vibe, attentive service

By ZarahZee |

My husband and I stopped here for a nice dinner before a show at the Greek. It was a Wednesday. The $5 valet was easiest and quick. We went through the entrance and were seated right away (with no reservation). A server came right away and took our drink order and brought menus. The menu has many options, including vegan and vegetarian. It even has some breakfast items served all day. The Eden iced tea was delicious. We ordered the fish tacos and the bacon Mac & cheese and both were good. We had the server checking in with us often. Although some areas don't look great, this a cute "LA" restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, bistro lights hanging with shade from trees and a nice place to eat outside. I'd love to return for brunch.

Nice patio but food is subpar

By Raymond H |

Nice atmosphere with a beautiful patio. Unfortunately the food does not match the ambiance. Not worth the wait.

Great location and drinks. Dishes a bit underseasoned.

By Boscaverde86 |

We visited for dinner on a Friday night in September. We arrived around 6pm, and were seated immediately. It's a really nice location. We ended up seating on the outside patio, and has a fair bit of seating. I believe that they have heaters if it's chilly, but there is also a good amount of indoor seating. They have a really nice drink list, including some of their own drinks. We ordered the Sweet and Smoky Margarita and the Tepache. The Tepache was very tasty. The maragarita was interesting, but I never really decided whether I really liked it. They also have a small draft list (10-12?). We started with the Burrata ($12), which was very tasty. It included roasted garlic and tomato, which was a nice addition. For our main course, we ordered the Tequila Lime Pasta ($16)and the Jerk Pork Chop ($19.50). Neither was very flavorful. I didn't get any "jerk" flavoring for the pork chop at all. Both dishes were cooked well though. Our server was very nice and helpful with the menu. There is street parking, or $5 valet parking.

Fun Brunch Spot

By OhHeyLo |

This place is known for their brunch - I'm talking lines out the door with a 40 minute wait. Their menu has a variety of options so there should be something for everything. There's a great outdoor patio which makes a good place to enjoy a sunny afternoon in Los Angeles. This place is also one of the few establishments with a longer happy hour (runs until 8 PM). Definitely worth a visit for the cheap eats/drinks.

I do not know why one would wait so long to eat here.

By LeeTom547 |

Often with long wait. Not an inspired menu unless you are into "Comfort" food. Loud and crowded. Kids do seem to like it however.

Delicious Brunch among the trees!

By ETraveler305 |

On our recent trip to LA we stopped by Home Restaurant for brunch for a party of four. It was a Friday morning so parking wasn't much of an issue and there wasn't a wait for an outdoor table. Our server was super nice and service was great. Our orders were served quickly and the food was delicious. Will definitely return on our next visit to LA.

So - So

Outdoor patio is a wonderful place for a relaxing meal or drinks with friends. Chicken & Waffles was excellent. Everything else was mediocre. Service & signature cocktails were great.

Hidden Gem

This restaurant was one of the finds of our trip to the USA. Great vibe with comfortable surroundings. Service was very good. We added an extra person 30 minutes before we arrived on a very busy Friday day night and we were accommodated with a smile. We were a table of 10 and had no issues with food or service. Food was really good. Everyone cleaned their plates.

Best Food Ever

By Marge L |

Went for breakfast OMG the best Mexican breakfast I have ever eaten. So so very good. Friendly and good looking staff very attentive.

Wonderful food!

By RhondaFM |

My party of 3 visited Home today at lunch. We shared the bruschetta that was wonderful, very tasteful, not too much. I had the bacon Mac & cheese that was superb! Another had the short rib pot roast. The taste was good, but a little dry. Another had the classic burger also very good.

Always good breakfast

By joe e |

I visit my son several times a year in Los Felez. The family has eaten brekfest on numerous times and have enjoyed this resturant very much. Food is very good, service friendly, and prices moderate for LA area. Outdoor seating with cover and shade. Also had lunch and been.very satisfied. Small space, go early. You will enjoy the meal and be well pleased.

Nice ambience & eclectic brunch menu

By Randell Carlton Green |

Cool hipster vibe with great eclectic menu for brunch. Dog friendly. Friendly Staff. Try the crab benedict!

Breakfast Treat

By sbear1 |

We sat outdoors and had an amazing breakfast. Friendly staff. A really pleasurable morning. You may have to wait a few minutes to be seated but its well worth it.

Always Good and Interesting

By jmorelli39 |

Sitting outside in this Silver Lake gem on a mild night is a treat in itself. Inexpensive, good food. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Try the Ahi Tuna burger which is excellent. The short rib pot pie is good. Breakfast all day too.

Popular eatery, hip vibe, good food and drinks

By hd91364 |

Home has two locations in L.A. - Los Feliz and Silverlake. While I usually go to the Hillhurst location, both offer great contemporary Californian food, efficient service and a cool vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Very popular with the hipster crowd.

Ah outdoor dining!

By greenhaba_11 |

Great neighborhood restaurant in Los Feliz. What made the experience complete was eating outside under the twinkling lights (and heaters because it was a bit cold for May). Good choices on the menu. Food was good, again made a bit better by the atmosphere - very casual LA.

Cozy & relaxing

By Rain M |

The food is tasty and the atmosphere is relaxing despite the major street right in front. Next time I will try their other location. Downside is the parking.

Absolutely delicious

By 942adriannan |

First time here. Went with a group of 8 and made reservations on Open Table. Strongly recommend. We probably would of had to wait an hour otherwise. Parking is tough, mostly in the neighborhood although valet is available for $5. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Short rib sandwich, red velvet pancakes, fried chicken, steak and eggs, French toast, kale salad, and egg sandwich. Corkage fee of $10. Patio is super cool with a fountain right in the middle and lots of heaters so no one was cold.

Great food!

By Ana S |

The food here is absolutely amazing. Prices are super reasonable for the food quality! Service is great! Ambiance is amazing too. Loved the outdoor patio!

The pot pie.

By kisssmee |

How have I lived in neighboring Silver Lake and haven't been here? Or, to this location. I came on a rare LA rainy day so the outside front patio was closed. I sat on the covered and warm side patio. I love how they have different options for seating and the place is cosey. I came for lunch and had the pot pie. The pie was so good. I loved the prime rib in it and the crust. So good!! The pie came with a side of arugula salad and it was such a perfect and comforting meal. For drinks I had Pink Paloma which was crisp and refreshing. I also had the Berry drink, again another delicious drink. For dessert, I had the carrot cake which was good. The slice was perfect for sharing. I enjoyed the service. Everyone was so pleasant and I felt very welcomed during my visit here.

Decent place for a quick dinner

By Mark S |

On our first day in LA we ran into this nice restaurant in de La Feliz area. While fighting a jetlag we ordered a home bbq burger an a nice wrap. Good food which is served quickly.Home has a nice outdoor terrace area and was quite busy when we were there. Nice place to go when you stay in the area

A great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner

By Anna S |

We were in the Hollywood area and decided to have lunch at this place. I ordered the grain bowl, my husband got the chicken Marsala. For drinks the server recommended Bacon Bloody Mary. At first I was hesitant because the combination didn't sound appetizing. But was I wrong? The kids ordered chicken tenders and fries. We were very pleased both with the service and the quality of the food. The temperature of the dishes were as expected. Enjoyed the great ambiance with a friendly service. I would highly recommend this place to everyone from vegetarians to carnivores!!!

The porch is to die for!

By Claudel2653 |

We were visiting friends in the area and ate brunch/lunch here one day. The food was really good, service attentive, but the porch was just amazing! Such great ambience and was absolutely lovely to sit, chat and relax. Wanted to go back, but did not have time before we left. When we are back in the area, will definitely return.

Lovely ambience, Better Food!

By DellaM211 |

We came to Los Angeles to visit our daughter and our first stop was Home for dinner. Mangoes Up Margaritas are THE BEST. We enjoyed just hanging out in the outdoor seating, they provide heaters for cool evenings. The drinks are great, the food was fantastic, and the service was perfect. We had a lovely evening hanging out and sharing a meal at a laid back, fun place.

Breakfast of the Champions

By Larissa B |

We were recommended this restaurant for an amazing breakfast and we have to pass it on! Blue cheese and cucumber Bloody Mary is a must so refreshing! Turkey sausage links... tasty! Great atmosphere and dogs are welcome:)

Great Spot for Mother's Day Dinner!

By Cloverleaf3218 |

Dined here recently for Mother's Day after a day of "dive bar" hopping, which was quite fun! We had driven by many times and loved the look of the place. It was the perfect end to a great day. Atmosphere was lovely, festive and fun. Everything we ordered was really good. We tried the fried chicken and waffles, short rib pot pie, pan seared salmon, bacon mac and cheese, santa fe eggrolls and a burrata something or other. Everything was delicious, we all loved our food. The service was very attentive. Definitely a home run and we will return!

The Surprise of Our LA Trip - Can't Wait To Go Back!

By Texas_Traveler71 |

When in Los Angeles last summer, we discovered Home. We loved it so much, we made sure we got to go back a second time before leaving the city. Can't recommend it enough. Wonderful food, great staff and a super fun courtyard dining experience. We highly suggest giving this great restaurant a try if you are any where close to the Los Feliz area of LA. It's truly wonderful!

Nice ambience and good food

By litsusie |

My girlfriend and I were looking for a restaurant near the Greek Theater since we were attending a concert there that night. I looked on Trip Advisor and this restaurant sounded good. We were not looking for an fancy, expensive place to eat, just one that was near Griffith Park (where the Greek Theater is located) that was also comfortable, reasonably priced and had a variety of food items. We were pleasantly surprised to find an outdoor seating area that was delightful and casual. My friend ordered a steak sandwich and she said that the steak was tender and tasty and I had a club sandwich which was very good. Both sandwiches came with several side choices and we both got a salad which had a variety of greens, not just iceberg lettuce. The prices were affordable. I would definitely go there again if I was in the area.

Significant Improvement Since Visit Two Weeks Ago

By clsm929 |

I have eaten at Home in Los Feliz many dozens of times. When we came to town two weeks ago, we had a poor experience. Since then, we have returned and had wonderful service and meals on three occasions. We want to thank Jeffrey and Kayla for pleasant and attentive service. The food, whether at breakfast or dinner, has been up to Home's consistent quality. We will return a couple of times more before return to Texas.

The Patio is like being a tree house

By Robin B |

Had a very nice dinner with friends here as we celebrated an early birthday. The drinks were soooo delicious (Margaritas (spicy)) and the food was very tasty. The menu offers a fresh array of Mexican style dishes as well as fish and chips. Dining on the patio was like being a tree house, super comfortable and shielded from the sounds of nearby Hillhurst Ave. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for nice casual dining experience.

Delicious food

By Anne |

This place is awesome, the tastiest food we got so far in LA. We just tried the take-away option, but the atmosphere of the restaurant also looks really nice.

Laid back and good food

By Maria2628 |

This is one of those places that withstood the test of time. It's still around and serving good comfort food. After a thrilling glass slide at the newly opened Skyspace in DTLA I decided to bring my friend here. She totally enjoyed her chicken and waffle. I ordered my usual fish and chips. Fish was so crispy outside and tender inside. Hands down to the fries. No seasoning needed. Casual atmosphere in or at the patio. The bar is at patio surrounded by trees. Get there early since it is always packed. They do offer fruit infused cold water for guest waiting for a table. Valet parking $3.00.

Fab atmosphere lovely food

By samstulowe |

We had been recommended to visit here on arrival the area was lovely and gave off a great vibe. The waitress was very attentive. We were all very jet lagged so quickly choose a meal from the menu and I have to say we all had different but were all just as nice the food was incredible and would highly recommend a visit

Beautiful patio. Restaurant located in a very cool neighborhood.

By Teri C |

This restaurant is in the Los Feliz neighborhood of LA, which is a very chic, cool area to walk around in. The homes in the area have some gorgeous Craftsmen homes. The restaurant is very good. They have a good selection and nice beers and drinks. We loved our meals -- we had ribs, burgers, salads, fish tacos and quesadillas! It's affordable and I highly recommend a visit!

Cute little find in Los Feliz

By NicMoraXO |

Came here for a business meeting and it was really cute. Sit outside when it’s warm out. Service was a bit slow. There’s valet and street parking. Food was actually very good!!

Delicious brunch

By JenMcG_09 |

Food was excellent but it was the beautiful patio that drew us in! It felt like we were eating on the deck of a friend's house. Farmhouse style table, fountain, trees. Staff was nice and service was quick. Highly recommend!

Pricy but very good

By Sunny H |

The decor was my favorite part of this restaurant...cozy rooms, but really loud. The appetizers were the star of the meal! Order the Brussel sprouts and southwest egg rolls...they are awesome! The cocktails were good but expensive.

Good Food!

By Patricia Meissner Casey |

Nice little place to eat outside and have a few drinks with family and friends. Staff was friendly . Food was delicious. Relaxing atmosphere.

Good

By Colin J |

Busy brunch Sunday; things were a little slower than I might have hoped for. The food was really interesting (sopes base for a Latin inspired Benedict for instance) - but unfortunately some of the execution of the food was a little disappointing (poached eggs were all solid yolks when we received our food). I expect our experience was not typical and the management took care of us when we pointed it out - which to me, is all I can ask for. The place is beautiful, and they clearly have a good palate/taste level for drinks and food!

An Unassuming Gem in Los Feliz / Silver Lake Area

By Paul B |

Eclectic American comfort-food at its best! Two locations - we went to Riverside Drive; the second is on Hillhurst Ave - both great. A very calm atmosphere with lots of wood and rock that lends a comfortable atmosphere. The food is superbly prepared and the wait-staff are very accommodating. The Calamari appetizer was among the best I've had and the fish tacos are always good. The Lemon Chicken Piccata was fabulous. The burgers are always good as well and the "Breakfast All Day" is a pleaser too. The Gelato is superb and the carrot cake is as well.

Good food

By Arrepar |

I loved the patio where I ate the good spare ribs. Lovely girl who helped us. Nice ambiance outside. I definitely would recommend it to go there.

Excellent service and very good food

By Christina F |

I went for brunch with a group of friends and had some amazing food and service. I'm surprised by some of the less than stellar reviews, because we had absolutely no issues. The service was superb...food was excellent, patio is exceptionally nice...love the tea selection. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to LA.

Great food

By David H |

Came here with family (8 total). The service was good. Mac and cheese bites were great and have as little kick. The salads were fresh and the teas and sandwiches great. Highly recommended.

Great Food!

By JCW703 |

A restaurant on an awkward corner with an equally awkward parking lot (they require valet, but it's worth it), and awkward outdoor seating underneath of a vacant billboard has absolutely fantastic food. I highly recommend this place and would return the next time I am in the area.

Perfect Brunch

By Aluna F |

I’m very lazy so we got here at 3 on a Sunday and the full breakfast menu was till available. Being greedy I always want a little of everything so I asked if they could give me a single pancake as a side....YES (AND it was buckwheat so GF)! So then I ordered Heuevos Benedictos which was nice but maybe I’ll ask for hollandaise sauce next time. The atmosphere is beautiful, water flowing in the little fountain, plants everywhere, lots of places to sit from cushioned alcoves to little wood tables. Most of the seating is outdoors so pick a warm day for full effect. Lastly- fast friendly eloquent service. This is a fave.

Good food- homely

By Mark S |

Did enjoy was suitable for my families needs, was a bit pricey but good way to see & feel a local LA dinner without it being one of the multiples Garlic mash was super

Lovely food

By SophieDewing |

We had seen good reviews of this restaurant and it was close to our hotel so we decided to eat here. The food was really delicious. I ordered a sandwich - it was full of lovely, tasty ingredients and huge! Super filling. The patio area is lovely to sit in. The only downside is when we visited there was quite an unpleasant smell - although this may have been off the premises but drifted in.

Lovely patio with a fountain--and heat lamps!

By Cherie M |

This casual neighborhood restaurant is a lovely place to meet friends, take your family, or have a romantic dinner. The food is always good, and there is a Happy Hour during the week. There is an indoor dining room but I've never sat there. Even in cool weather the patio is comfortable with heat lamps and umbrellas. Interesting menu too, with always excellent service.

Worth it

By Nichole F |

We came here fresh of the airplane. Once we got parking figured out (around the corner and down the block), the rest was smooth. We had lunch/all day breakfast here and it was a wonderful meal with good service.

Great Place for a Sunday Brunch!

By rmarkman |

There is no place like HOME! What an outstanding restaurant with a wide variety of Mexican favorites. 2 locations - Los Feliz and Silverlake. The Chilaquiles are da bomb. Can't go wrong with either the chicken or chorizo. BTW... bloody Mary's? Drop the Mike!

Gorgeous outdoor patio seating and food on par with settings!

By AnureetR |

We were recommended this place by our hotel receptionist and we're very grateful to her for that! Lovely outdoor seating and very tasty food! Coming from the UK, this is the first time I paired waffles with fried chicken and maple syrup and was very nice indeed! We also has a crab benedict which was lovely too! Highly recommended.

First class lunch

Just had lunch with some out of town (NYC) family. First time visit. Prompt and pleasant service, lovely atmosphere, and we all had delicious food. We'll be returning!

Nice restaurant for friends or couples meetings

By Sergey A |

Have been there many time with friends or couple. Very nice atmosphere. Cool cuisine. Very like burgers and salads. Definitely will go there.

There's No Place Like Home

By Gary L |

Not fancy, but the food is great (best salmon I've had anywhere), with generous portions! And affordable! Good, friendly service. Small downside: not much in the way of beer choices. But still highly recommended.

Home Is Where The Heart Is

By caliatl83 |

Whether I come here for Breakfast, Lunch, or an early dinner with friends or family this is always my number one spot. The food quality is amazing and is perfect for vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers. There will always be something on the menu a customer will enjoy. The ambiance, the location, and the service is always amazing. As soon as you arrive you are greeted with a friendly face welcoming you into their "home" its a great place to dine with friends or a perfect date night.

Love the atmosphere

By Lisa G |

Sit outside if you can. It has a great vibe. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was good but not great. You should still go because the atmosphere is so enjoyable and the food, while not outstanding, is fine.

Pre-Steve Martin - Martin Short Performance at the Greek Dinner Out

By docgeo70 |

We and two other couples went to the Home Restaurant before seeing Steve Martin - Martin Short's :An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life" at the Greek Theatre (see my separate review of the venue). The restaurant is about 1.5 miles south of the Greek Theatre so it was quite conveninet and looked good through reviews---the reviews were not wrong. My wife and I had the Grain Bowl with Ahi and Pan Seared Salmon (resp.) with a nice glass of wine. Our friends had the following: the Turkey Club sandwich; the Bacon-Lettuce-Avocado-Tomato (BLAT) sandwich; and the Chicken-Avocado Club (on marbled rye bread). My wife's dinner was tough for her to finish given its size but she told me it was just delicious as was my salmon (served with kale and baby tomatoes). I asked everyone else how their dinners were and everyone said that each dinner was delicious. Portions were quite generous---regrading price, my salmon dinner was the most expensive at 19 bucks which, given LA area prices, is a great deal (more like mid-20 bucks or more depending on the joint). All but one had drinks and I had a small side caesar salad. The total bill for six of us was $ 150, not too bad either. The staff was courteous and friendly, our table outside was ready when we arrived, and the service was quick. We got there at 530 and we were basically done by a few minutes after six. Given the theatre doors opened at 630, this was perfect. Lastly, given the area we got an added treat for those of you that may be interested in "celeb watching". Sitting inside, a former star of the TV show "Full House" fame was John Stamos---if you caught his eye, he responded with a smile. So for dinner, they also do breakfast/lunch/Happy Hour (M - F), it is a worhtwhile stop if you are in the area. Valet Parking is recommended given the lack of street parking but get ready----it was all of 5 bucks! Enjoy!

Perfect food fix

By Melissa C |

Start with a glass of bubbly then ease into the filet medallions, carrots, roasted potatoes and pearl onions simmering in a balsamic glaze. Then finish it off with coffee and the delicate petite ganache cake. Perfect evening with the perfect food. Staff made me feel at "home"!

LOVELY, JUST LOVELY!!!

By Nancy23441 |

My sons and I went out to dinner, taking a rare opportunity to be together. The service was fabulous, the meals were delicious and the atmosphere was terrific.

Chic & casual, the perfect LA vibe

By julie p |

Definitely come sit on the porch and enjoy the chill setting! You instantly feel like you're on vacation. We had the fried pickles as a fun appetizer, beware, they are completely addictive! I had the filet mignon with carrots and potatoes, it was perfection! Come for a relaxed atmosphere & delicious meal!

You should eat here!!!

By 848barbe |

Food was great!!! My pancakes were light and fluffy. Great atmosphere with a very welcoming environment. You should eat here.

Quality ,comfort food and all around relaxed.

By GARY E |

Service was very good. The food very good and atmosphere nice. Such a gem Great neighborhood restaurant in LA . What made the experience complete was the good choices on the menu. The patio looked good but it was warm business lunch so went inside. The salads are great and waffle sweet potatoes fries just grand.

Great Restaurant in Los Feliz

By jag2001Nottingham |

We went to this restaurant as a family with 2 teenagers. The setting is lovely. We sat outside both nights we went and this was great. Good menu with plenty of options. We particularly liked the Tuna Burger but honestly everything we had was good.

An Outdoor Oasis in a Busy City

By JoshPhD |

This is a very pleasant lunch destination with a lovely outdoor patio. Though indoor seating is available, the outdoor dining is that attraction. There is ample shade provided by mature trees and there is a koi pond / fountain in the center of the patio. The menu has something for everyone. Name your dietary constraint and there are multiple options that will satisfy. Two fish favorites are the Blackened Ahi Tuna Burger and the Fish Tacos.

Great Peaceful Patio

By Tim O |

I met my college roommate for a late breakfast and he asked me where to meet. I said some Bohemian place, your choice. This is where we ended up Perfect! We sat on the outdoor patio, hade great service and weren't rushed out when the crowds showed up! Any place that serves breakfast all day has got to be good! Real maple syrup costs extra and I don't think I got the real stuff even though I paid, but it was fine. Pay attention to the little world of its own they have going around the fountain. Fun stuff.

Home Restaurant

By tbone2u2 |

They call this place Home Restaurant. If my home had food like they serve, I would never leave! The menu was full of choices for all types of diets and was excellent. We had the Bruschetta, Chilaquiles, and Ahi salad. Delicious! Our server was Jocelyn and she was not only beautiful but provided wonderful service. The location was great for a night at Dodger Stadium which we had. The only drawback is the $3.00 parking.:(

Great Experience!!

By rox70047 |

Just got back to our hotel after experiencing a wonderful meal at Home. Drinks were great and the food was delicious 😋. I had the short rib pot pie, daughter had the chimmichurri chicken pasta and husband had the ribs. Highly recommend and would return. Coming from New Orleans, it is often difficult to find great food, this was excellent ❤️. Also loved the atmosphere.

Wonderful Brunch in a wonderful setting

By Carinmaine |

Having brunch outside on HOME'S deck, surrounded by flowering trees and shrubs on a gorgeous spring day is my idea of heaven on earth. We started with 2 of their specialty cocktails - Hendricks Twists; a refreshing, citrusy drink that went well with our Short Rib Tacos and Crab Benedict. Food was delicious. Menu diverse. Service very pleasant - the hostess couldn't have been nicer. Looking forward to my next visit!

such bad service

By aurora_maee |

Awful service. Honestly we told the host we were moving and then she sat another table after us. So then 15 mins go by and the table who was sat after us gets serviced. The waitress notices us but still continues to ignore our table. I then ask for the manager and instead of sending the manager they send the waitress. Super unprofessional.

Loved the food and atmosphere!

By Charthorne |

I had the Cobb Salad and my friend had the Strawberry Watermelon Salad both were very good. We sat outside and even though they got very busy never felt rushed to leave. Wait Staff extremely nice.

Cute patio area, good food

By emily h |

went here for breakfast and had the All American with eggs, pancakes and turkey sausage. All were delicious. My vegan sister had the vegetarian burrito with tofu and said it was great. My fiancé had an egg white omelet with veggies and he said it was ok. The patio area is cute and comfy and allows dogs.

Amazing but not the best

By Bitter&Sweet |

The exterior was very cute and homey! Although the food was your typical breakfast & brunch but SO much fluffier, overall TOTALLY would recommend

Great Food and Service

By 998sunnyday |

A great place to eat and meet friends. The front is surrounded by trees and nature. It dose get crowded but worth the wait. They serve American cuisine comfort foods with good portion meals. The service is fast and prompt. Great bloody Mary's too.

Awesome venue

By Iren2012 |

Went here on our first night in LoS Feliz. Wasn't expecting much, as we are tired and hungry and just want to get something easy and nearby our accommodation. But turned out, everything was fantastic, food were great, really yummy, good in portion and price. Service was quick and attentive. Will come back for our last night in LA :)

Great meal on the Patio

By Osweg0 |

Great evening dinner at "Home" on the patio. Service was great and we really enjoyed dining al fresco. Great Salads, sandwiches and Burgers. We will definitely be back

Great!

By Caitlin W |

I enjoyed dinner here with my family while we were visiting from out of town. The atmosphere is incredible and the food was excellent. We arrived at the tail-end of happy hour and the blood orange margarita was to die for (I may have ordered several!). Highly recommend!

BBQ baby back ribs!!

By Harry k |

I had an amazing night with my family and had the bbq baby back ribs with mashed potatoes, great staff!

Liked it a lot

By vangoplacetoplace |

Service was great. Food was fantastic. Prices were high, BUT on par with surrounding area. Highly recommended.

Family lunch

Ate at Home on the recommendation of our hotel on the way up to Griffiths observatory (bus stop just up from the restaurant). Lovely service and great food - the fish tacos were one of the highlights of the holiday. Very pleasant outside atmosphere despite the odd wasp!

Huevos Rancheros Muy Bueno

By Matt H |

Found this gem on Trip Advisor Search and after reading the hundreds and thousands of positive reviews decided to give it a try. So very glad that I did and will definitely visit again next time I am in town. The atmosphere is very relaxing and has an open inviting feel. The entire staff, hostess, serving staff, runners, busboys, and cooks were all friendly, helpful, polite, prompt, professional and especially attentive. The coffee was delicious. The reworking of the Huevos Rancheros was appealing and appetizing. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the delicious food, the wonderful staff, and the place. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast that taste like authentic HOME cooking, then you will surely want to give this restaurant a visit.

Breakfast

By Melissa C |

Noticed this after leaving the alcove so we decided to come back for breakfast the next day. The French toast was wonderful but club sandwich wasn't as good. Will give it another try though as the patio is really nice and would be great to have a drink on in the evening

One of my Favorites!

By SizzleBean |

I always love coming to this restaurant. Parking can be tricky, but you can valet if you don't fee like walking a few blocks to get to the restaurant. I love the outdoor patio on a nice summer/spring day. They have a great fountain in the middle of the courtyard with some Koi fish in it. The food is also incredible. I got the Avocado, Chicken Club sandwich with a pesto aioli sauce...it was delicious! In the past I've gotten the chicken and waffles...cause, why wouldn't I!?!?

Decent

By RollingScone |

The title says it all. In fact this could be a one word review. I've been here several times and the place is just decent. This place is essentially an American diner with an eclectic menu and cool locale. The quality of the food (ingredients) is so so but the menu is somewhat creative. In my opinion they should stick to simpler stuff and bring up the quality of the food. My advice is to pick the most boring items on the menu, they are the best. The whole table set up is lovely.

Good atmosphere and great food

By MichaelEsmann |

Went our first evening in Hollywood and found this place which is very cozy and relaxed. The service was fast and friendly. We got the fillet mignon and burger and they were good. The drinks the same and with free and fast refill.

Brunchalicious

By Sandy W |

Home is my go-to restaurant when I'm with a friend or group and everyone is hungry but no one knows what they want. Bonus points if it's a nice day out, because the patio seating is the selling point of this place. Don't worry, the food is on point too. Parking can be annoying here, so I tend to opt for the $3 valet -super cheap. There's often a wait but rarely longer than 15 minutes. Ask for outside seating, always. If you bring a dog, they'll hook you up with water in a bowl and some treats. They're very dog-friendly. I like coming here for brunch for the morning boozy bevs, and also for sober healthy lunches/ burger dinners. They have every staple category of food: pancakes, eggs, wraps, big salads, burgers, pickle chips.. and lots of clearly marked veg options, if that's what you're into. The atmosphere is so nice, and the food really holds its own too. On a last note, you will be sitting under a canopy of trees. Be prepared to be pelted by tiny round seeds that fall from the trees and bounce around on your table. It becomes amusing after a while ;)

Not a bad place to eat

By Abeer H |

That was new to us that most of the restaurants closes in the middle of the day around 2pm and reopen after 5pm for dinner which is too inconvenient. This place was still open after 2pm. Place was almost full. Vallet was $7.5 and vallet server came around 3pm and given us the key that his duty has ended. This kinda weird service isn't rare in USA even in other cities.

Charming, Eclectic and Likely Better than Homemade

By Colin F |

My daughter knows all the cool spots and this is one of her latest favs. The staff were really nice and prompt, and the food well above average, if not quite stellar. She had the loaded tacos and I - the filet mignon on mashed. They were well prepared and presented. The filet was slightly overcooked but otherwise full of flavour as FM should be. The decor varies from room to room plus there’s a patio. Nice spot and the prices slightly below LA average.

Disappointing chicken and waffles

By loliale |

Wonderful ambiance and great service, but my daughter and I both ordered the chicken and waffles. Should have sent it back the minute it came to the table looking way over cooked. It was burnt on the outside and super dry and over breaded. Not good at all.

Amazing pancakes

By Jodi L |

The entire experience was amazing, but the pancakes were so standour, even our non pancake eaters could not stop eating them. Friendly staff and the atmosphere was charming.

Great Spot

By rree |

The food is amazing - we went back 2 days in a row because we loved it so much. I had the American breakfast with French Toast and it was the best I have ever had. Really cute atmosphere with great staff. If I lived there - I would be a regular for sure!

Perfect brunch spot!

By Camilla |

I love this place! This is the perfect brunch spot for a group of friends but also for a first date. The Atmosphere in the outside garden is amazing and it gives you a feeling that you are sitting in your backyard. Food is delicious and if you are in the mood for drinks, they have really good ones as well. I would say come early because on weekends they have quite a line but even if you have to wait, its all worth it. The service is also incredible and they really know how to make their guests feel welcome.

Very good food and dog friendly

By Habitat P |

The food is American fare, fresh salads and sandwiches and entrées. Very big portions so I always have to bring some home. There's a lively bar at night, good for sports watching. My family likes to go here because our dog is welcome in the patio. I go to both locations, in Los Feliz on Hillhurst and Silverlake on Riverside Drive. Both dependable.

I've been missing out

By kisssmee |

How have I lived in neighboring Silver Lake and haven't been here? Or, to this location. I came on a rare LA rainy day so the outside front patio was closed. I sat on the covered and warm side patio. I love how they have different options for seating and the place is cosy.

Surprising Menu

By jaymzbee |

Nothing but good things to say about the cocktails, appetizers and mains at Home. Friendly service too.

Really nice menu...food well prepared...ambiance and service. I'd recommend this place to anyone. This location is just outdoor seating under some lovely big trees, around a fountain. they have space heaters and umbrellas, so you're never uncomfortable. Great place for a drink and some pupus or a full meal. Highly recommended!

It is a fun place to go and have good, but not great food. The outdoor seating is packed day and night and customers's cheerfulness exudes out onto the street. Not Disneyland but still A Happy Place!

Great atmosphere, and very good food! Price and service were also solid. We really liked this restaurant.

Tasty Dinner On A Nice Patio!

By Traveler |

We had dinner here last night on the patio. We enjoyed sitting by the pond and 2 trees. Our food was tasty and delicious! We had the Chicken Pomodoro Sandwich, Hummus Wrap, Linguine and Treehouse Club Sandwich. We were all very satisfied with our meals. The homemade chips were good, but could use a bit less salt and pepper.

Nice local place with good food, lots of healthy options, great service and a great deck under the trees so you can enjoy a nice day. Full bar as well.

If you have time

Staff very kind and friendly, wait of over 45 mins unwarranted, justification busy ( restaurant was half full) baby back ribs dripping in bbq sauce uncooked

Nice atmosphere. Good food.

We met some friends here that lived in LA on their recommendation. There's no place to park other than the street, but that wasn't a big issue. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food good. I had the BBQ baby back ribs and they were very tasty! Price wise was also good value. Recommended.

Great little find!!

My fiancée and I visited Home on Sunday evening and it was a great experience. We were staying local so was able to walk and enjoy a couple of the delicious cocktails. The food was exceptional, really fresh and flavoursome. I had the fish taco’s (my first ever) and the were perfect! My partner had the jerk pork and mash potato which she loved! We’ll be hard pushed to find a better meal this on this holiday!!

Good food, great atmosphere

It was lovely to have dinner outside in December. Varied, interesting menu. Good, very friendly service. Reasonably priced wine list. The food was great, and the atmosphere was relaxed. We would definitely return.
