Yummy and quaint. Perfect biscuits

By NurseMD |

In the new part of pikes market...around the corner and down the steps...side by side/sharing space with the Indie Chocolate store. Quite wonderful fluffy biscuits with crunchy outside. The biscuits and gravely were devilishly good. The ambiance was great. Well worth the visit !!!

What an Amazing Place!

By Jen B |

Introduced to Honest Biscuits during a Taste Tour and wow! It made such a great impression that it was the first place we went back to once the tour was done. The service was great and we chatted to the staff who were really welcoming. We took home some Pike Place Biscuits (CHEESE!!!) which went down a treat! Will be sure to visit here each time I get to visit Seattle.

Decadent huge biscuit

By Wendy K |

My son just had to go here after remembering his crab biscuit sandwich from last year. We think it's moved or changed its name or something...but they have many biscuit options, one which was his crab biscuit. So yummy and in a really cute place next to a full size restaurant. And the view!! Right outside is the water with views of the ferrys. Also fairly easy parking within walking distance.

Good biscuits, friendly service

By lynette_cypress |

We stopped in early on Easter morning as we cruised Pike Place Market. Honest Biscuits is on the partner list for the Savor Seattle Food Tours, which we'd done the day before. It's a small place, tucked in one of the big, multi-floored spaces at Pike Place. The whole place is so cool. The biscuits were good - average, i'd say. Not the light, fluffy variety I grew up on. We shared one with gravy (two half-biscuits covered with thick sausage gravy) and one butterhole (plain) biscuit with jam. Since they're thick and heavy, I would have loved more gravy on mine. And I had to buy an extra jam packet for the same reason (you get one per biscuit). It was a nice local establishment, but i'll probably pass on a return stop.

Huge with savory or sweet selections

By Jen78703 |

My hubby and I had breakfast here. They are located off to the side in Pikes market. You can get to them off 1st st or an entrance over by the fish throwing place. The biscuits are huge with all sorts of tasty flavors. I chose one with a local cheese. It was quite flavorful but not nearly enough butter was given out with the biscuit, My hubby ordered a biscuit breakfast sandwich but only ate the insides- he found his biscuit way too dry. perhaps the best way to experience them is with loads of gravy. The coffee was good and strong.

Good food

By L b |

This was a good place if you want a snack or a quick meal. There is no seating to speak of. The biscuits were very good when warm, eat them warm. Good value. My only complaint was that the female in charge of restocking the supplies made me ill. She balanced the drinking cups by putting her chin and mouth in the top one as she carried them to another area. Then she restocked the plastic utensils and put her bare fingers on every single one. Disgusting. If that is how she handles food implements in front of customers I don't even want to know what she does behind the scenes. This employee needs a lesson in sanitary food handling practices.

Go hungry!

By Heather G |

Everything is delicious! This place had something for everyone in our group. We loved the chocolate and coffee and glad we visited!

Not biscuit paradise

By Holly D |

Average bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, over cooked and not flavorful - disappointed. I actually ended up throwing it away.

pretty good

By travelgalAvon |

Tucked in the corner on the second floor of Pike Market, stumbled on this place. Had a buttered MacGregor biscuit (bacon/cheese/onion) that was super tasty. Wish they had some standard drinks (ie Coke/Pepsi) to go along with the food.

The smell alone will drive you right in to their new shop on Western Avenue

By Ralph M |

Slather on some compote or butter or grab some hot biscuits and build your own homemade sandwich with these made from scratch inventive beauties. This is the first stop on the VIP early tour of the Pike Place market given by Savor Seattle. Get there early and sit down to a coffee and a biscuit. You will not be disappointed.

Best biscuit I've had outside of the South

By Jerry G |

I live in Kentucky, and moved here from Atlanta...but I heard about Honest Biscuit before we vacationed in Seattle. I was dubious (how could I not be, it would be equivalent of saying Kentucky had better coffee than Seattle...), but pleasantly surprised. Outside of many places in the South, this was the best biscuit I think I've had in my life. I don't doctor it up with gravy, nor do I eat as a sandwich. Just a little butter...and this was as big, fluffy, filling and tasty as any I've had. It helped the morning was cool, and the view of the Puget Sound...well, that was just the cherry on the top. I know many Seattle food tours stop here. I now know why. I say go...and if you have gluten issues, their gluten free biscuit looked tasty as well. One is enough (they are huge), and have it with just a little butter or honey...you'll be glad you did.

Huge, Hot Biscuits Southern Style

By fetzerm |

Honest Biscuits is located inside Pike Place Market. Their biscuits are what we used to call cat-head biscuits back in North Carolina because they're as big as a cat's head. They're also tasty and made from scratch. For a hot, filling breakfast on a chilly, wet Seattle morning Honest Biscuits can't be beat. (I noticed a North Carolina state flag on the wall. These are the real deal.)

Generous biscuits

By Beth_sage |

We were introduced to Honest on the Savor Seattle tour. We came back later and had a sandwich a few days later. The sandwiches were large - and the country ham was really good. We like our biscuits simple, hearty and from scratch and these do not disappoint.

Fill up

By Naomi H |

My friend got biscuits and gravy-- very good! I got the egg, bacon cheese sandwich. They were all we could eat and enjoyed. The edges of the biscuits are quite crunchy, but with honey added to them, it was good. I really like Seattle water, so no need to buy. Friendly, cheerful staff.

Biscuits!

By Sharon S |

Delicious biscuits and gravy. There was even a vegetarian option and a decent cup of coffee. Great way to start your day with a hearty, affordable breakfast. You can look out into the "mall" and people watch and see a cool giant squid sculpture.

Best Gluten Free Biscuits!!

By Wendy M |

We had looked all over for great GF options and finally found this hidden gem! Fantastic food at a reasonable price. Visited twice this trip and will definitely be back when visiting Seattle.

Good but dry

By skeet S |

Biscuits were good but very dry. My family tried the Southern style white sausage gravy on a Butterhole and the one Northwest Gravy. The southern style was great, the Northern no so much (of course I was raised in the south). The prices are a little much for a plain biscuit $3.50 or even a simple egg and cheese $5.00; but, the flavors were good and not too pricey for a regular sit down restaurant which this is not. I would recommend that one try it out although I would most likely skip it on my next visit to Pikes market; although, one reason for that would be to try another of the many restaurants in the area.

Honestly huge biscuits!

By maifun |

I'm glad Honest Biscuits got a new spot at the new Marketfront expansion, it's a much nicer spot than their old location, with some killer views from the outside patio. The biscuits are huge and yummy! Be prepared for a few minutes wait even if there isn't a line, and even if you order just a biscuit and not a sandwich, as they take the time to completely heat up your biscuit (on a grill maybe? I didn't notice how they were heating it up, but it comes to you nice and hot with a slightly crispy exterior.) I've had the breakfast sandwiches in the past and they are yummy, this time I just had the MacGregor which has Beecher's cheese, bacon and caramelized onions baked into the biscuit, and slathered with butter if you choose, which of course I did. Tasty biscuits, awesome location!

Mouthwatering Biscuits

By Cnewsites |

This place is worth a stop. Mouthwatering warm biscuits. They are large and served freshly made. I tried just the biscuit along and it's delicious. I also had the Dungeness Crab biscuit. I love the fact that they utilized other businesses in the market to supply many of their ingredients.

Big Delicious Biscuit

By Mark T |

My wife and I stopped here for a late breakfast. At the staff suggestion for a local favorite, we got "The MacGregor" which has bacon, cheese and onion cooked into the dough. It took just a few minutes for it to be served up hot with butter already on it. Half was almost more than I could eat. The outer texture was crispy and delicious while the center was somewhat warm bread like. It was a bit dry, but delicious. I would probably opt add an egg next time.

Wow

By Daniel A |

This is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. You MUST stop here for breakfast if your visiting. Well worth the price. Its inside pikes market to the left of the famous fish throwers. Follow the signs and look for a quid in the air.

Hard to find, barren interior

By Ron W |

Finding this little gem below street level of Pike Market, ongoing construction, was a bit of a challenge. Great selection of "different" biscuits. Served warmed, the biscuits were tasty. The interior space was lacking seating though.

Yum. Just got a classic cheese

By lobsterbacks |

Yum. Just got a classic cheese Pikes biscuit. Fluffy and baked cheese yum! Grab a nice seat on the water and enjoy!! Beside old stove brewery and behind Indi chocolate. Yum!

GF with cheese....mmmm

By GregTrav28 |

My wife loved the gluten-free biscuit with cheese. No complaints. Right by the water so on a warm day you can grab a biscuit and eat outside. Spacious inside if you prefer to eat inside.

Excellent service

By Pgjb |

While the public market is disappointing, this place is worth the detour. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh and reasonably priced and everything is recycled or composted

The South.....of Seattle..honest to goodness Biscuits!

By gmp8plc |

i was surprised to find Gluten Free Biscuits for Breakfast at Pikes Place Market. In a very quaint area of the Market and slightly more than a kiosk i discovered this excellent biscuit shop. I had the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit and it was so good i went back the next day to try another. I tried the Ham, egg, and cheese this time, and it was not quite as good, but passable. My daughter tried the sweet potato biscuit with honey and thought it was superb. I would definitely go back again!

Wow!

By Kimberly S |

I have never been a biscuit fan, but I could eat these daily! I love the story behind the company! The biscuits are crisp and crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside! Delish! Pictured is Crab Melt Biscuit and Biscuits and Gravy with Bacon. Soup is potato leek!

Pike Place delight

By ennaidc |

I loved my biscuit doused in honey. Large, cut in half, toasted goodness! As I sat down for my mid-afternoon snack (after browsing the Market for hours), the bar overlooking the atrium was great for people (and squid) watching. My partner joked about getting a beer, and lo and behold, they serve beer, too! Delightful and delicious.

Didn’t disappoint

By Ruth |

Came across Honest Biscuits on Instagram so made a point of finding it for our first breakfast after arriving in Seattle. Was so excited to find it and thoroughly enjoyed my southern gravy biscuit. Great location right by the ‘overlook’ walk, in the amazing Pike Place Market.

More please!

By krisek-t |

Stopped here on our food tour for a cheese biscuit. Delicious. I wish we would have come back for more!! It’s on the lower level of the market by Indi chocolate.

Delicious biscuits and beautiful view

By Gina H |

The butter and strawberry jam biscuit is like eating strawberry shortcake!! Super delicious. We went back a second time to enjoy the ham, egg, and cheese biscuit which was also delicious! People were super friendly!

Biscuits with everything.

By Adele W |

I had the fried chicken biscuit "burger". The tender breast of chicken was fried well. It was tender and juicy - topped with some fried onions and raw alfalfa. They had some secret hot sauce. Tried it on my burger - it was good. The biscuit itself was light. They know how to make biscuits.

Best Biscuits EVER

By Tracy S |

I have lived in the south and know good biscuits, but the pike biscuit is off the hook. Large and in charge, and completely worth the wait. We got there and did not have to stand in line at all.

Yummy breakfast stop in Pikes Market

By dianag99217 |

Yummy breakfast stop in Pikes Market. The biscuits and gravy and grits were great, though neither were really traditional southern style .... Kind of pacific NW version I guess of grits and biscuits and gravy, but they were very tasty. The service was fast, and we had no problem finding a seat at the bar on a Friday morning.

Food and views

By Megan W |

The line is usually long, but it’s worth it! There was a lot to choose from. I had the McGregor biscuit. Sit and enjoy the view!

Take a pass

By mikehurd |

Was wandering around after getting off cruise ship, stopped in for a bite. Ordered biscuit with gravy. Could not have been more bland. Biscuit seemed stale and no amount of salt and pepper helped. Having Biscuit in the name of your business, you really have to nail it.

Pretty good

By Amy P |

A long wait in line, but yummy. Good place for people watching. It's a nice gem. If you're exploring Pike Place, start your day off here.

Worst biscuits ever

By Foodiedl |

They were totally inedible. Mail ordered the biscuits. Ordered gluten free biscuits. They were received so hard that they could break a window. No customer service at all!!! They were not interested in making a customer happy. Would not give them in person or mail order business!!!

Breakfast is My Favourite Meal

By Bill F |

There is nothing glamorous about the setting - enter the Economy Building, walk past the Sasquatch, up a flight of stairs and you are in an atrium looking at the comings and goings of tourists. But the biscuits! The soft fluffy eggs and bacon! And coffee! Not complicated but really good. Ask for a little honey to finish off the biscuit and your morning will be complete. I'd come back to Seattle just for the biscuits. It's friendly counter service and seating is limited - mostly stools with one table so a family might have a tougher time coraling the kids. And the biscuits are HUGE! Did I say I like the biscuits?

Don't understand the high ratings

By Steve S |

Very nice people - great atmosphere & view. In a nutshell, poor biscuits and slow service. I really hate to be negative but I have to share my experience. The biscuits were very subpar -- really tasteless -- I threw mine away. I am an experienced baker and have made my own biscuits for 40 years and know what they should taste like. As for all the good reviews, all I can imagine is that in an era where nobody cooks anymore they don't know what these should taste like. Sorry but I have to be honest...I expected something way better from an establishment dedicated to the biscuit that charges 5 bucks each. Suggest you pass or see for yourself.

Butter your biscuit

By Karly C |

This was very good. It was our first snack stop while in Seattle, and was well worth it. I got the cheesy biscuit with whipped butter, and it was the perfect snack while walking around Pike Place. Big fan.

Still daydreaming about it!

By lindabinda07 |

Amazing biscuit and coffee!!! I bought some coffee to take home. I wish I would have purchased more. I want to go back to Seattle just to eat more biscuit and drink more coffee! So good!!

Excellent Biscuits

By kelleyy |

Biscuits are excellent and HUGE! Great selection of options or build your own. They also home fresh brewed iced tea and very good coffee. OJ was freshly squeezed. Worth the trip and $$. The staff is super friendly

I wasn't impressed

By OriginalRhirhi |

The setting/location is adorable. Seating is hard to come by if there is more than 2 people, there is not a lot of space. I LOVE biscuits and gravy and thought this would be a great place to try. I found the biscuit to be a little dry, the gravy was good though. I know its a trendy little place, or at least seemed like it, but I think $8-$9 is slightly overpriced for a biscuit (1 biscuit) and some gravy. The Orange Juice comes in a sippy cup that is perfect for a toddler, not an adult.

Great Biscuit!

By seb0176 |

We love a good biscuit and we were not disappointed! I had a country ham biscuit and my husband had the eg, sausage and cheese! Lots of options! It had a very cute atmosphere! I would recommend checking it out.

Delicious!

By Gina E |

We got to Honest Biscuits late in the afternoon of a busy day for both them and us. They were out of most biscuits, but suggested the mini biscuits. We were pleasantly surprised by how large they were! Freshly made and delicious. We had these with honey and butter and they were the perfect snack to keep us going!

If ou are a carb addict, don't miss out

By Jackie255VT |

So good. Large homemade biscuits...many variteys with gravy or just butter if you prefer. Lcoated right in Pike Place Market. They even do sandwiches on their awesome biscuits.

Great food

By Josh B |

This little shop north end of Pikes Market has good biscuits and sandwiches. There are also many vegan options:)

Delicious!

By Kim Van Nguyen |

Rich, buttery, and dense. Three things that make biscuits amazing - and Honest Biscuits' biscuits have all that! So delicious!

Now at Pike Place Market...awesome!

By JanieSue |

I love biscuits, and these are such big, tasty, all around awesome biscuits!! They make versions using local ingredients, including some favorite vendors from Pike Place. The biscuits are huge and delicious. A little out of the way, but don't give up...a lovely respite from the craziness of much of the Market.

Amazing Biscuits

By Winterpoggers |

We stopped here on our Savor Seattle tour where we each got a biscuit. It's hard to put into words how good a biscuit can be but it was real real good. Went back the next day for breakfast. I could hardly eat it all. They are so good you must try them out. Owner is from South Carolina who was not pleased with the quality of biscuits being served. He's definitely taken it up a notch with his grandmother's recipe.

Delicious scones

By PopUpShop |

We spotted this gem on our way to the Waterfront venues the day before and made a point of coming back to eat breakfast. They have a little something for everybody. Highly recommend & would definitely go back.

i've had better biscuits

By tobycc |

There are so many good choices at the public market, I was hoping for a little better. I had the seattle biscuit, it was a little overcooked and dry, not as much flavor as I'd have hoped. Still pretty good, I've just had better biscuits. Also waited a really long time.

Quick and good!

By Ruth S |

Visiting the Pike Place Market with out of town visitors, we decided to have a quick lunch here. We all enjoyed our choices...egg, bacon and cheese biscuit, egg, sausage and cheese biscuit, BLT biscuit and oven fried chicken biscuit. Biscuits were exceptional.

Awesome!

By LodiDazzles |

Super flaky and tasty offerings. The best gluten free biscuit we've tasted. Light, fluffy and moist. Make sure and get an adorable handmade dog treat for your best friend, too!

Gluten free biscuit scored big points

By Hope P |

We went for the gluten free biscuit. It was so worth the time we spent finding the location for my daughter to be able to eat a gluten free bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. She gave it a 10/10! My regular egg and cheese biscuit was good.

Filling

By TammaraK |

I was not prepared to order at the counter before sitting and the guy at the counter was less than helpful and not friendly at all. Struggled to navigate the menu and place an order. The food came out quickly and the portions were huge. Two people could easily share a breakfast sandwich. I had an egg and cheese biscuit and it was good. The biscuit was tasty but overall the sandwich lacked flavor and needed a bit of salt. The grits were delicious! More of a firm consistency, almost like cornbread, but not quite. The cheeses used were tangy and sharp. So good! Again a very filling portion. The "drinking chocolate" was not your average hot chocolate. Not meant for kids so it ended up being thrown out. It was thick and tasted strongly of dark cocoa. Adults would love it. The person bringing the food out from the kitchen was absolutely delightful.

Yum!

By John G |

People were nice. Order was fast. Chicken was plentiful and flavorful. Biscuit was incredible. I was stuffed with just the sandwich. Great view outside. Fairly priced. Like biscuits? Go! Enjoy!

Great biscuits

By JLMPerez2011travel |

We ordered two gluten free biscuits with bacon, egg, and cheese. They were the best gluten free biscuits we’ve ever had. The biscuits were of good size, bigger than an average biscuit with great flavor and texture. Definitely will return for more when in the area!

Awesome southern biscuits!

By TXMARTINS |

Located in Pike Market this little shop has great southern delicacies that you can top with local jellies, honeys, or the cheese biscuits are made with Beecher's cheese! Or try a sandwich on one of these southern biscuits while strolling the market. Tables are available inside if you want to take a little break!

Delicious!

By fluffer73 |

This place is conveniently located if you are staying near Pike Place Market. I had a gluten free biscuit with bacon, egg, and cheese. I watched how careful the person was who was making my food and felt comfortable with the process. This breakfast sandwich was delicious! I also ordered a regular biscuit with chicken sausage, egg, and cheese for my husband who is not gluten free. He said his was also very tasty. We will have this again next time we visit Seattle.

Damn good biscuits!

By Jenna W |

I love biscuits so I made it a point to try this when I was in town. I had a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and a cold brew coffee. So, so good. The biscuit was huge and perfectly hot. Fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The whole time I was thinking, I want more!! I may be ordering the biscuit mix online in the near future! If you live locally you can get fresh biscuits delivered!

Not what you might expect

By Sylvie521 |

We found Honest Biscuits through a tourist guide. I ordered a biscuit with bacon, cheese curds, and onions. What is surprising is that it is cooked as part of the biscuit so you are eating a giant biscuit and can add butter. It took quite a while to get your food and it has limited seating. Others had the sausage gravy and said it was just ok. I would not go back. It is in the middle of Pikes Market.

MacGregor Biscuit is an entire meal

By ReaderPat |

I stopped here for coffee and breakfast while staying near Pike Place Market. I wanted to taste the biscuit, not a bunch of extra stuff. So instead of getting a biscuit sandwich, I had a MacGregor Biscuit, which is a giant square biscuit with bacon, chunks of cheese, and caramelized onions. OMG.....sooooo good! I will definitely return for another one of these delicious biscuits on a future trip.

Life changing!

By Lisa D |

Being gluten free means you don't eat great biscuits often. So it was such a treat to have an amazing gluten free biscuit here! I also bought regular biscuits for my family and everyone raved about how delicious they were. Hot, fresh, HUGE, and yummy. Fast friendly service too. I highly recommend.

Good but slow

By SizzleBean |

The biscuits were huge, slathered in gravy, and delicious...but it did take quite a while for them to come out. I was completely pleased with my order once it arrived....but there has to be a way to streamline the wait a little bit. It's not a huge operation, so you wouldn't expect it to take so long. Still tasted good though!

Reminds me of biscuits from home!

By mad155 |

Went here with the Seattle Savor tour - YUM - Cheddar Biscuit was amazing. We were able to meet the owner who hails from NC and his grandmother taught him about making biscuits. One of the favorite things we had on the tour.

Wow Wow Wow!!!

By rockydogz1 |

Be sure to ask for the two top recommendations and you won't be disappointed. These biscuits are incredible and I don't like biscuits!!! The staff is delightful and hot biscuits on a rainy day hit the spot for us!!!

Good hearty biscuit

By Kherrington50 |

Stopped here on the Savor Seattle tour and wanted to go back to try them again. I had their cheese biscuit on the tour and it was quite good. I would have liked a bit more cheesiness but it was good none the less. I went today and had their Blueberry crisp biscuit. Not as happy with this one though. It was a bit over cooked and did not have enough blueberries in it. Their coffee is great though so that bumps things up in my book a little bit. I would come back in the future and try something else for sure.

Cool location, fine food

By Hilary B |

The biscuit itself was excellent, but I didn’t care for the fried chicken sandwich. I’ve had better. Nice location and eating area outside overlooking the marina.

Great biscuits!

By RoniLea |

Looking for something gluten free to eat around Pike Place Market, it was a challenge. This place fit the bill and it was, bar none, the best gluten free biscuit I have ever had. It was fluffy, not crumbly and tasted just like a regular biscuit. I would here again in a heartbeat. Also the best bang for your buck at Pike Place, as far as I could tell.

Great Food!

By Stef86 |

Stumbled upon this little place while shopping in the Pike Place Market. While it takes a little time to receive the biscuits, the portion was generous. Heard through people talking that if they sell out they close for the day, makes sense because they were the best biscuits in town! I would go back again!

Great Biscuits

By horstim |

Very good experience biscuits were excellent and tasty - most importantly super fresh. Very personal service - definitely recommend it

Meh

By DrBooBoo |

I had the vegetarian sandwich. It was bland. I also tried the Pike Place biscuit and it basically had no flavor. I’m from the South and I know a good biscuit when I taste one and these were not good biscuits. The staff weren’t very friendly, either. I wouldn’t go back. There’s so much good food at the market and this isn’t it.

Great biscuits!

By Olivia S |

These biscuits are awesome, crunchy on be outside fluffy and soft on the inside. It's also a nice location off the main strip of the market

Honey biscuit with local strawberry jam

By Headneck |

Tucked away in the Pike Place atrium, this is a must find. Opens early for breakfast, multiple freshly made biscuits with locally sourced ingredients, and a delicious combination of sweet or savory additions. Great service.

Don't miss out!

By rwolin5293 |

Great take on the ultimate biscuits. Very tasty place. Lots of variations. A must stop when visiting.

Vegan and GF as well as great regular biscuits

By Nathan N |

We sought out Honest Biscuita after having found another review. They didn't disappoint. The biscuits were huge with soft interior and crusty outside. Great toppings including bacon, cheese, egg and their jam was delicious too.

Average all around.

By threedogknight |

Good biscuit, gravy was bland and a little floury on the day we visited. Portion was too large. Employees could not have looked any unhappier if they tried.

Perfect start to a cold Seattle morning

By ladyjade28 |

We visited here during a food tour of Pike's place market. It was our first stop and their cheddar biscuits and espresso shots were exactly the right way to start the morning.

Save room for seconds and thirds and fourths

By NDKimberly |

These biscuits are so very good! We devoured them. Any biscuit I could make at home doesn't even compare. Made out of palm oil so they don't crumble. Totally worth a stop.

The perfect start to Pike's visit

By Partypoodle |

The sandwiches looked yummy but I had a plain biscuit with some fresh butter and honey and it was perfect! Next time we stop in I might have to give the chicken sandwich a try or even the biscuit slathered with sausage gravy. But then there's the sandwich with bacon and Beecher;s cheese....

Best Biscuits EVER

By Alex Hodschayan |

These are the best biscuits in the city and possibly the world. I love the cheddar baked biscuit, but the sandwiches are incredible too. This is the best place to grab breakfast if you are close to the market.

Quick Service, Great View, Ok Biscuits

By Tanner L |

The biscuits are unique and the service is quick. The biscuits were okay to me, not fantastic, but okay! Sitting outside on the patio is a nice choice because of the view.

Honest Biscuits: Darn Good Honest Food

By Cheri D |

Located in Pike Place Market, the place is small with limited seating, however, they have a deal with the brewery right next to it. They are separated by a rope and you are able to bring your food there and have a few brews, which we did. You order from the counter and they call your number when ready. Not a long wait the day we visited. The young girl who took our order was very pleasant. My husband and I were pleased with what we ordered, Crab Melts on biscuits. The biscuit was a good size and the crab meat melt was delicious on top of it. We were filled on just that. One of the best quick lunches we ever had. We would visit again if we return to Seattle in the future.

Stop, watch and enjoy!

By Kendu24 |

My wife was craving breakfast. While walking Pike Place, remembered this spot on the Travel Network. A shared, open air space, you are able to watch the biscuits being made from start to finish! The end product didn't dissapoint. Soft, warm, flaky and buttery! Full of flavor (especially from the Beechers cheese) and size! We could hardly finish the one we shared! Lively, hardworking staff dishing out a great product. A must try!

Really good

By LostInTime |

The biscuit are huge. They are fairly fluffy. I got they are heavy that one will leave you very full. Very good.

Just OK

By UKCS-UKCS |

Visited Honest Biscuit during our first visit to Pike Place. I had the breakfast biscuit and the wife had the gravy biscuit. It was ok as we found the freshly made biscuit too thick for our liking.

Fabulous - will return in spite of wait time

By mshbnyehud |

Ordering a biscuit is the easy part. Not much wait time at all (especially compared to lots of other places in the Pike Market). But then the wait begins. I ordered one biscuit with butter and honey. There's no shortage of biscuits available on the rack, but there is a shortage, apparently, of staff to fulfill an order -- even just one item. Staff are very nice and hospitable. The biscuit itself is off the charts wonderful. Pricey but wonderful. This is the Market after wall. The view of Puget Sound is also amazing!

Yummy Biscuits!

By AverageJosophine |

Don’t miss eating one of a variety of delicious, warm biscuits! Found them on “Savor Seattle Tour” and decided to come back for more.

Great as always

By NurseMD |

Busy but good. Like to see the off the main drag places that are small-ish and unique be busy. Worth the wait. Great friendly staff. Worth the short walk for great biscuits.

Quick Tasty Lunch

By TravelBob78 |

Had the grilled pimento cheese and country ham biscuits. Both were good. Biscuits were huge, made a full meal. They weren't very flaky, but had a good taste. Generally speaking, as a southerner, biscuits are dry, that's why they are topped with butter, gravy, cheese, etc. Seating is limited, but there is a courtyard just down the stairs.

Tasty Biscuits

By rdbhoyt |

Lots of flavor options and friendly staff. The biscuits were fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside - super tasty.

Good biscuits.

By TravelhappyEngland |

We came upon this shop whilst touring the market and were delighted with the speed and quality of our food. Hot biscuits, very yummy.

Nice biscuits may not make a nice sandwich

By mkmiller51 |

This morning we wandered the newly opened part of the Pike Place Market and Honest Biscuits was one of the few eateries open so far. The offerings were interesting, and my husband enjoyed his bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. My BLT tasted great, but fell completely apart in the first bite. I was left staring at crumbled biscuit pieces that meant I had to go get a knife and fork in order to have bites containing all ingredients. In the end, I ended up composting at least half of the biscuit. Tasty, but not worth the hassle and $7.50. Also, even though there was a beautiful espresso machine in place, so far only drip coffee is available.

Don't Miss BREAKFAST!

By Susan47890 |

WOW, these breakfast sandwich-biscuits are fantastic! We found it inside the Pike Place Market by accident -- good accident!

Love biscuits!

By Wanda P |

I love to eat biscuits, and they have some very good sandwiches here. The Jones Soda selection was a good accompaniment. Enjoy while visiting the Pike Place Market!

Dry, no flavor, nothing special

I found Honest Biscuit in the midst of construction but was excited to find a small biscuit stop. I’m from the south and travel frequently. When I say that I rarely leave poor reviews, I mean it. However, I do MOT want anyone else to spend money on a dry, no flavor, poor customer service experience. Please, go to the brewery next to this establishment and enjoy your time. While I was at Honest Biscuit I felt like a burden and lower class human and then the biscuit (MacGregor) was terrible.

Hot, huge and tasty

By HaroldsMaude |

Great one- of a kind eating experience! The biscuits are HUGE! Plain ($3.50) but we tried the cheese biscuit for 4.00. So. good. Served hot and the butter is melted. Can you taste how fabulous these are?

Loved it in my Local Market

By Amy Z |

Good prices for everything, including the sides to go with a regular biscuit. Had the plain biscuit and honestly loved it because of how naturally buttery it was inside. Ate it with my lunch. Good options are available as well for savory/sweet and vegan/gf folks. Did find that when heated up it wasn't that hot at all, which was disappointing, but still tasty.

Oh My Goodness!

By ladyzire |

What an amazing little place located in Pike Place Market. They have several different freshly baked biscuits and they also make sandwiches with them. The size is enormous! I ordered BLT biscuit sandwich with side of pimento and a freshly brewed ice tea. Service was amazing and I'm telling you, these guys aim to please. All ingredients used for everything were of the highest quality and prices were very reasonable. I paid $10.96 for my lunch special incl. tax. Definitely would go back if in area.

Great spot for pike place market visit

By Matt S |

Stopped in for a brunch during our visit to the market. It is just enough from the main market traffic to feel out of the way and has great view of the piers and water below We had bacon egg and cheese biscuits and they were all fantastic. Local sourced and large portion. I would definitely recommend

went there for the gulten free biscuits

By Topanga L |

my hubby is eating gluten free he found it on a gluten free app. They are very nice and helpful. I had the regular biscuits they were good. Hubby had gluten free bis and gravy he thought they were pretty good. Its a bean based gravy.

Went back twice during our visit

By KDAA |

We chanced upon this when going to Pike Market and since we were waiting for a food tour, didn't want to eat much. We split a biscuit which we really enjoyed and the menu with sandwiches interested us. So we came back the next day and had the sandwiches. They were very good-freshly made eggs on their biscuits. The service was very friendly. I don't remember the prices being unreasonable and the biscuits and sandwiches were ample. There was a limited amount of indoor seating, but were were early and fortunate to get seats both times. There is outdoor seating, weather permitting.

Good fresh biscuits

By ferspratt |

Just visited their new spot at the new wing at Pike Market- very open space and great biscuits. had the vanilla and the lemon ones; great with a up of coffee.

Gotta Get there Early

By cybertraveler |

Two of the three family members tried to order only to have their 1st and 2nd choice turned down as they were out of that item. And one of them didn't find out until we had been seated for a few minutes - which is always a bummer. It was around noon on Saturday. So get there early as they may run out of your preferred biscuit. Seating was, well, crumby and sticky. We sat at their main/only table for 4 and it needed a cleaning really bad. We asked the gal at the register to clean it and she eventually did with an extremely wet sponge/towel that left so much water on the table we couldn't put our hands or purse or tablet on it. I didn't get any friendly vibes from the employees - everyone seemed a bit agitated and tired. Maybe it was a particularly busy morning? We all ended up with the standard buttermilk biscuit and some of us loved it and others did not. It is very heavy it is not a light flaky biscuit. It seemed more like a scone to me. It was cooked perfectly and they are giant, so consider splitting with a friend. And the strawberry jam - OH MY that was so yummy. I really wish we could have tried some of the others, like the peach melba...but alas they were out.

they have vegan biscuits!

By MihirMeghani |

This is a biscuit place at one of Seattle's famous markets. It is in a bustling area with plenty of seating. Note that they are open for breakfast & lunch, so close at 2pm. There are good vegan options including a vegan biscuit with vegan gravy & vegan butter. The grits are also good.

OMG,OMG,OMG !

By Michelle C |

You must get something, biscuits were the best I have ever had. Gluten free options as well. Had the chicken sandwich with pickled onions , sooo good !!!!

Worth the wait

By justlynn7 |

It takes awhile to get your order but when you do..... The best you have ever had! This breakfast sandwich was made from scratch and with the perfect amount of everything!!

Dry & Awful Tasting Biscuits

By Chapsbaby |

The only good thing about going to Honest Biscuits is the view from their new location. But as for the taste of their namesake - biscuits, dry, dry and more dry. Remember the scene from the comedy, "Christmas Vacation", where the turkey was overcooked? Well their biscuits are worse. Yes, huge in size, but what's the point when you can't choke them down and they leave a cornstarch taste in your mouth? Perhaps we caught them on a bad day - but wouldn't risk trying them again as there are way too many other good restaurants in the area.

Slooooow service worth the wait

By BobiTychynskiShimoda |

I was getting royally ticked at how long my single biscuit order was taking given their was only one person ahead of me. We waited at least 10-15 minutes. When my order arrived I was gobsmacked. My gluten free butterhole biscuit with butter was fluffy and moist and delicious. I was confused thinking they gave me a gluten biscuit and when I checked he assured me he “gets that a lot” and it was definitely gluten free. It was nothing short of amazing.

Average Breakfast

By Travelpuppet88 |

This place is nice, but OK. It's right next to Pike Place Market, offering biscuits with fillings. Felt like we'd shown up when something else was happening that the staff had to deal with though, as the food wasn't quite as good as we'd hoped and the staff were all a bit preoccupied discussing something with each other resulting in quite a long wait. Not sure if this is the norm here, hence the 'average' score. Might have been better if we'd come at a different time.

Came for breakfast and left my heart

By Mastachiw |

Decided to come for a mid-morning snack and was not disappointed. The biscuits were really tasty and we shared a pig in a blanket and the MacGregor. Both were wonderful. The biscuits were flaky. The pigs in a blanket fell apart as we ate it -- but it was well worth it. The sausage was from a local butcher shop and definitely different. Would recommend it if you are in the market.

Bland and Overpriced Biscuits

By Kreskin2207 |

If you're looking for a traditional southern biscuit...keep moving. Also if you're looking to have money for food for the rest of the day...keep moving. The biscuit was cooked well but completely bland. The one saving grace was the Johnston County (NC) ham but for the portion size didn't add up to $3.50 or whatever it was. After tip I think a (sub par) ham biscuit cost me $9.00...$9.00!!! So many other great spots in Pike Place and waaaay better biscuits in Seattle. Don't bother wasting your time or money.

Good gluten free biscuits

By Julia T |

So good gluten free biscuits and cheese grits. Yum. And despite being wicked busy, the counter staff was very cal m and kind about a special diet order. Yum. We got honey and butter and they were very careful about cross contamination.

Come for the biscuits, return for the joy!

By Brenda L |

Low key, unassuming owner who knows how to bake biscuits! Ethical, concerned and thoughtful business philosophy - wish they were all like this one!

A Biscuit That Blew My Mind!

By SGGNYC |

I stopped here during a food tour of Seattle and loved what I tasted so much that I returned two more times during my three days in the city. Truthfully, I only tried two things: the Apple Caramel biscuit and the "Pike Place," which has chunks of Beecher’s Cheese. The Apple Caramel biscuit was fine, but it's the Pike Place that kept me coming back for more. It's so flavorful, moist, and perfectly textured, it didn't even need butter. It was definitely the best biscuit I've ever had north of the Mason-Dixon Line, and may well tie with the best of the best from Georgia and Alabama.

Amazing Biscuits in Plike Place Market

By raymondleemd |

Went on Savor Seattle Tour and took us to Honest Biscuit which I probably would not have tried on our own. Biscuits were amazing with cheese and various flavors. Not the plain old biscuits I had envisioned.

Delicious, cheap lunch

By Carrie H |

I had the vegetarian sandwich and for five dollars I thought it was yummy and reasonably priced. It had good flavor and there is nothing better than a warm biscuit. The staff was friendly too.

Southern biscuits in Seattle

By Dana S |

What I love, aside from the biscuits, is the way the owner got started! He is a former magistrate and saw the need on the food scene at Pike Place Market for good ole Southern down home biscuits. The biscuits are based off his Southern grandma's recipe from NC and DANG they were good! I had the classic cheese biscuit with cheese from Beecher's made into the dough. It was so light and fluffy! He also uses jams and jellies from Pike Place Market vendors, as well as sells some of the stuff from other vendors in his store. Staff was very friendly!

Great Biscuits!

By BrookeS2312 |

Loved this little place! The biscuits are so good and they have a lot to choose from. Service was great, biscuits came out quickly for it to be pretty busy! The man who took our order was so nice and friendly as well. They have some tables inside, and some great places right outside to sit and enjoy the view and your biscuit! Definitely stop by here!

I Would Do It Again

By lannyr |

I had no idea what I was getting into. I ordered a Macgregor and a Pike Place Biscuit. The Macgregor was a meal in itself. I swear I ate on the Pike Place biscuit all afternoon. But they are really tasty.

My Friends Thought I was Crazy

By rea w |

HI, I guess my friends are not used to eating biscuits on the west coast, but I am from the East and we love our biscuits. We tried a variation of the biscuits I had purchased the day before. I would recommend eating them once they had it to you. Still enjoyable though.

Biscuits in the Market

By dctravel |

Honest biscuits is located between the main craft market and the harbor on Western Avenue next to Old Stove Brewery. We stumbled upon it one afternoon and when we realized it had vegan options (for our dairy free traveler), we came back the next morning. Flaky biscuits that can be loaded with various toppings. I had the egg and cheese and it was filing and good. Very good coffee too!

I love Bisuits!!

By Paul |

This place knows how to make biscuits!!! The butterhole biscuits were perfect...if you are looking for a great breakfast biscuit get the Macgregor so freaking good with bacon and Tillamook cheese baked right in.. good golly miss molly these biscuits are perfect!!! I love biscuits these are the best I ever had period hands down!!!

So slow for a simple biscuit

By 52caitlinl |

Waited over 20 minutea for a biscuit with an egg, cheese and sausage. What a waist of time for such a quick and simple product. Do go unless you've got time to wait!

Honestly good biscuits

By Happy415 |

Started a food tour here, learned the owner Art's story, and had the best cheddar cheese ( made up the street) biscuit ever. Melted in your mouth but not crumbly like so many biscuits. Glad they aren't close to home or I'd be there every day!

big delicious biscuits a good find!

By Victoria D |

Seriously found this gem while looking for a breakfast place at the Pike's Market. This was great as loved the one with the salty ham with egg. loved out fine and got many more biscuits to bring to family!!!

Great Biscuit... Cold Service

By jefferylesq |

I stumbled across this place while waiting for a business meeting. I just flew into town and wanted something to tide me over. The Pike Biscuit was wonderful. Not sure what the cheese in it was, but it was legit. That’s all I had so I can’t comment on anything else, except the solid WiFi. Unfortunately, it only gets 4/5 because the woman who rang me up seemed annoyed the entire time. I don’t expect high end service as a good stand, but she was borderline rude. Just a small smile and a look like she cared just a bit would have made the difference. Plus, in the end, it’s not Pine State Biscuits from Portland.

Best Gluten Free Buscuits

By harsimrit8 |

We were in heaven when we found out they served GF biscuits! We took them home from the farmers market frozen then heated them in the oven. They were light and have a great texture. Way better than any biscuit I've tasted GF or otherwise. They also have a location at Pike Street Market.

Good Food, Surly Service

By rzrnaz |

I had biscuits and gravy, they were ok but kind of flavorless, not enough seasoning in the biscuit. Wife's sandwich was better. Staff seems unhappy to be there, and it shows.

Definitely will be back

By xcapeohio |

I tried the gluten free biscuit with sausage gravy. Loved it. My wife tried the egg, cheese and bacon. It was even better than mine. The service was amazing. Go Go Go

Cute out of the way spot for good food

By PrtyGrl9014 |

This is a great little place to get a good cup of coffee and a cheese biscuit made with Beechers cheese. There is some seating, the atmosphere is busy, great people watching and away from the crowds.

Honestly Fantastic

By Rachael M |

I had the pleasure of visiting Honest Biscuit the day or two before it was due to move to their new location. The area was small, but quaint and clean and the staff were upbeat, even though it was early morning. I tried the Pike Place Biscuit and it was delicious. The buttery biscuit was still warm when served, slightly firm on the outside and tender and moist inside. Also, since the market vendors make sure to use local ingredients, it had Beecher's, a nearby market producer's, cheese added into it. Later, I visited their brand new location on opening day and it did not fail to impress. The biscuits were still enjoyable, the staff was friendly, and the store was clean, even with a few finishing touches being worked on. Also, there are now beautiful views of the ocean and when timed right, the salty ocean air breezes inside to mingle with the the scent of biscuits baking, which only enhances the atmosphere. So, if you are nearby Pike Place Market, you should take the journey to Honest Biscuit and indulge.

Beat the Crowds

By JohnTSanAntone |

Beat the crowds by heading here for breakfast. The tourists won't be there yet and you'll have a pleasant walk through the market. We enjoyed BLT, bacon & egg, and honey biscuits. All were promptly served by a friendly hostess. Biscuits are very large and tasty. The biscuits were less buttery than in used to so they paired with meat or eggs better than just honey.

Straight Up Delicious!

By lainim |

These biscuits are large and tasty. They are good as is or with butter. You can order biscuits and gravy or a biscuit sandwich. Check their business hours; they vary. They have just recently moved into a new space at Pike Place (end of June)

Best biscuits!!

By Milan A |

I was visiting my son in Seattle and he took me here for breakfast. Oh my goodness! The best biscuits I have had in a very long time!! I had the Pike and added bacon. And if I recall correctly they had gluten free options as well. If you love your pumpkin spice latte, order one. I am picky about mine and this was delicious. Run, don't walk to get yours. The staff was super friendly, too. I enjoyed it so much I went back a day later. Also, outdoor (and a few indoor tables) seating with lovely views.

Honest Excellence

By Stiv_Wa |

Held a business meeting here first thing in the morning. Great biscuits to include sandwiches. The area is great for views of the bay and seating is shared with a coffee / chocolate shop.

Great biscuits!!!!!

By AprilFool27 |

This restaurant is fairly new but they had the product and service down pat. Phenomenal biscuits. My husband and I had the MacGregor biscuit which has cheese and meat mixed in. Wonderful! Service was quick and friendly. One of the staff asked if she could fill up our personal water bottle for us - now, that's service!

Biscuits please

By Mary C |

It honestly was very good. Biscuits were so big and fresh. Fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. My husband and I shared one because we wanted to try more food around the pike place market but after having the simple bacon and egg one, we really wanted to try all the other ones too! The bacon was surprisingly good too. If only we had this back in Australia, it would be so popular.

Good Biscuits

By SledMan |

Good biscuits, but caveat emptor: from one day to the next, we ordered the exact same thing (biscuits and gravy), found an inconsistency in the gravy. Still good, but far less sausage content on second try. Biscuits themselves great, full of cheesy goodness, and the melted cheese crust on the bottom really put these over the top! Service was a little sketch, despite he several people working furtively behind the counter. Overall worth a try, and take several days to try different things.

Ermagerd fantastic

By Candace M |

Oh my. A still-warm, crisp on the outside, flaky and light on the inside biscuit. With butter and jam. Or honey. Or a bunch of other options including strawberries and cream. Heavenly. And a decent cup of coffee. It's in a out-of-the way location in part of the Pike Place Market. So worth the effort to find it (we stumbled on it by chance). Just go. Eat one. Really.

Worth the wait!

By kbsummits7 |

We stopped by at the recommendation of the foodie tour we took the day prior. Honest biscuits were super delicious and worth the wait. You get to watch them make the biscuits and then decide what you top it with....delicious!

Not impressed

By treinke |

Went for breakfast and was hard to find. First biscuit I ordered wasn't available (they hadn't taken it off menu). They were not busy but still took five minutes for them to heat the biscuit. I thought it was dry and overlooked on outside.

Excellent food, service not so much the morning we went.

By Wklstoywife |

I am giving this place a 2 star on service and a 4 star on food. My daughter and I were the first one to enter this restaurant and the first to order. We were told the MacGregor Biscuit would be about 10 minutes, (ordered with gravy) we said okay, not a problem so we ordered and went to sit down...my daughter is vegan and she ordered the vegan biscuits and gravy. Multiple people ordered after us, we waited, 10 min, 20 min...everyone else was being served...30 min...hmm where is our order? I went to go check...another 10 min...what? Finally after 5 more minutes it was brought out to the table...I mentioned it took 35 min for our order...we know someone who works there and it NEVER takes that long...what the heck happened. Anyway, that is my review on the service. Biscuit was delicious, most likely because of the Beecher's Cheese, it was light and fluffy and the gravy was good....there was a ton, it filled us up for the day and it was delicious.

comfort food

By AHTTIV |

Giant fluffy biscuits cannot be beat - worth standing in line for a little bit - very filling and satisfying

DRIEST Biscuit ever eaten!

By mps7777777 |

People were very nice and helpful. The food is eatable but extremely dry. There is no flakiness to the bisquit at all. This is like eating a dry piece of cake.

Gluten free fried chicken and biscuit

By Jenna |

Solid choice for dining near Pike Place Market. I chose here specifically because they had gluten free options! I ended up with gluten free fried chicken on a gluten free biscuit (and it was solid). Nice location and good service!

Great Food

By schroederjt |

The food at Honest Biscuits was fantastic. We got to their location right at their listed opening time (after battling through the crowd at Biscuit Bitch the day before), but it seemed like they weren't quite ready for customers. I don't know if an employee was late or what exactly was the cause of the delay, but we were waiting around with one other person on a Monday morning (so not a huge crowd) and it was about twenty minutes before we could even place an order. Which, it's fine, things happen in the service industry and the food was well worth the wait - but the staff was super unconcerned about the overall customer experience. They didn't apologize for or acknowledge the wait at all. When my partner wanted cream in her coffee, the creamer pitcher arrived still dripping with (presumably) dish water. But as I said, the food was excellent. I got the vegetarian biscuits and gravy, the gravy was like a really tasty lentil soup. The OJ was fresh and delicious. The coffee was very good. Also a great location for waterfront views.

Awesome biscuits!

By Leigh Anne G |

This was the start of a food tour, biscuit was buttery and the coffee was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. We then decided to go back and eat breakfast a few days later. The staff was very friendly!

Seattle visit

By mpvela |

Biscuits kind of dry. It was just adequate breakfast food. The woman at the counter acted like it bothered her to take your order. Wouldn't recommend it.

Sadly disappointed

By Chinquin |

Saw the high rating and mention in other magazines. Ordered 4 different items for the family. All suffered from same fatal flaw--dry and hard biscuits. Might be the oven they heat the sandwiches in but even the biscuits in gravy had same issue. Place was new and view was great but wouldn't return. Sad :(

Honestly, try the cheddar biscuits!

By NormLWat |

We are not typically biscuit fans as we find them too dry and crumbly however, we were pleasantly surprised with Honest Biscuits. The biscuits were light and moist while retaining the dense quality of a biscuit. The cheese added a sharp taste to an already enjoyable experience. Coffee was also great.
