Made me crabby

By MnPolishPrincess |

I needed food, hit up my tripadvisor app and saw this place. It was busy, dark and noisy. A table would have been a wait and I took a seat at the bar, which had plenty of seating. I ordered soup and sandwich to go and then asked if I could have the soup while I waited. Bartender was not welcoming, didn't ask if I wanted a beverage and took my half empty soup away when I went to the restroom. The food was tasty and reasonably priced.

Expected Better Flavors

By bbails |

This place was busy when we went it, and it seems to be a popular local resturant and bar, featuring special veggie dishes as well as dishes with meat. Everyone was enjoying their lunches. We ordered a grilled veggie sandwich with cheese and pesto and a veggie chili. The chili had an unusual seasoning that I couldn't place. To my taste buds it did not enhance the flavor of the dish. The sandwich wasn't very tasty either. My friend, with whom I split both the sandwich and the chili seemed to enjoy it. I'd go again, and order something different, but I'm not too optimistic that my experience would be any better.

Stopped by for lunch. I had the Burford Thursday Justice sandwich . It was very good. Cute movie theme decor. Nice guys.

Cool Vibe, excellent sandwiches

By Stacy H |

Popped into this place on a whim for lunch and am so happy I did. A great selection of sandwiches, with local beers on tap as well. The service was excellent, and for a small place there is lots of seating. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Seattle.

Great food good price

By Aaron M |

My wife and I had tried a could types of sandwiches here. Great hearty food at the right price. Hard to go wrong with their food. Not your 5 star gourmet food but very tasty combination of peppers and cheese with the bread and meat. Good stuff.

Wonderful sandwiches and people!

By Midwest Mark |

I stopped in here for lunch while staying up the road at a hotel recently, since I had walked by the day before (funky storefront beckoned me) and also saw it on TA with great reviews. The decor is really fun (reminds me of Telegraph Ave shops in Berkeley) and the menu is great. I went for a heated turkey sammich (the "waverider") and it was super delicious. They offer a quality assortment of n/a beverages as well as beers and booze. On top of all this great stuff, the staff was amazingly friendly and smiley. Each person I spoke with left me with "have a wonderful rest of your day" - how awesome is that?

Great sandwiches

By Michael M |

Decided to have dinner here after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and other did not disappoint. Very tasty sandwiches. Quite a nice variety. Something for all tastes. Quirky decor. Good beer selection and full bar. Hidden gem. Jimi Hendrix statue is a couple blocks away for a good photo op

Best French Fries Ever!

By stephola18 |

It took me 3 trips to honeyhole before I fell in love with it. You can't be wanting a deli sandwich because that is not what you will find here. Instead you get delicious steak or chicken breast sandwiches which you struggle to fit in your mouth. Thing 1 and Thing 2 are my favorite. And the fries, heavenly! I don't know what they do to them, but they are so crispy and good! The price is reasonable as well and they have a full bar. The decor is super fun, you won't get bored looking around here. Be prepared to wait at high dinner times, but its worth it!

Best Sandwiches

By jburbach |

We loved this place. We went in Friday night and the atmosphere was perfect, dimmed red lighting which I so appreciated given the fact I had a ridiculous headache from a full day of travel. Our waiter was super nice, I had the BLT w/avocado and it was huge and delicious. The literally could get enough of the garlic aioli or whatever was on it and the fries were SO GOOD. I'm a big fry person and seriously will judge a place on their fries (I know, weird right? - who does that) and these were PERFECT. I would go back here in an instant if we are ever back in Seattle.

Carefully crafted Sandwich masterpieces, and great vegetarian options

By Kitgordo |

This is a wonderful sandwich shop where even the ubiquitous club sandwich is elevated to delicious perfection. It just seems a lot of care goes into each sandwich. Great bread or rolls to start, the best meats, proper ratios of condiments... The vegetarian sandwich options are more robust than in most places. My vegetarian teen daughter had a sandwich that used a Field Roast brand smokey tomato "grain meat" base with lots of carefully chosen complimentary veggies and condiments and it was outstanding. Good job honey hole!

Yummy goodness

By tripfroggie |

The star is funny and relaxing. The briquettes sandwich is excellent. The French fried were excellent. The chicken pesto was not that great

Delicious Sandwich

By Ryan H |

Great local spot in Capitol Hill. Casual place that is great to go to for lunch. Get the pulled pork sandwich, you will not be disappointed.

Great sandwiches & beer

By Amanda T |

We decided to seek our this place after reviewing the feedback on Trip Advisor during a recent holiday in Seattle and I have to say we were not disappointed, the sandwiches were amazing, great beer at a good price and the shop was quirky and interesting. The staff were very helpful. It may look busy when you go in but don’t walk out as the tables turn over relatively quickly and it’s more than worth the wait😁

Honeyhole!

By snowhiteheather |

This was the first place I landed when I got off of a 6 hour flight and it was perfect! From the pepsi to the club sandwich and the lollipop I got with my check. I really liked the feel of this place. I want to go back!

nice sandwiches, good vegetarian options

By annavkmelb |

I went with a group of friends for lunch. The service was fairly prompt and everyone seemed to like their food. I chose The Juke vegetarian option which I felt was a bit heavy on the BBQ sauce but otherwise nice. My meat eating friends all really enjoyed their lunches.

As good as ever

By Colonel's R |

I am a regular visitor to Seattle and a trip to HoneyHole is always essential. This time i shared the Gooch and the Fast eddy sandwich . Bursting with flavor , this had to be the best i had ever had . Dont miss this place for anything.

Awesome Sandwiches and Well Priced Booze

By patrickbseattle |

Honeyhole is a neighborhood institution on Capitol Hill. They always have 1 beer and 1 cocktail on special as well. Gooch, Fast Eddy and Waverider are all solid. If you want a nice Seattle experience, it's good to check out for dinner and it's open late.

Very tasty

By MrsB |

I came here with a friend when I was visiting Seattle. So many choices, it was very hard to make up my mind. All of the sandwiches sounded delicious. Even though it was $11.50 for a sandwich it came with fries and I could only eat half. Took the other half home and had it the next day and it was still good! Next time I visit Seattle I will definitely stop by for a good sandwich

Great sandwich!

By smokey22 |

This is a small, out of the way place with great food! I had the Chachi's Favorite sandwich and it was delicious. I would definitely go back next time I'm in Seattle and recommend this place!

wtf

By R Grant W |

Alex T was our server and a complete rockstar. We walked in starving and couldn’t even think. We asked him 1000 questions and our guy didn’t even flinch. He was able to answer all our annoying questions about different sandwiches and was a pleasure to interact with. Food slaps so hard I almost called CPS (customer protection services).

Excellent sandwiches in a casual fun atmosphere!

By Villanoleva |

Went with my 22 year old daughter because she wanted to try it. No line on a Tuesday at 3PM. I asked for what their 3 most popular sandwiches and I chose the Fast Eddie. It's a thinly sliced roasted hot tri-tip beef, melted pepper jack, sauteed onions, sweet hot peppers, and aioli on a demi baguette. It was really great. My daughter loved her The Juke which was a veggie chicken, BBQ sauce, sauteed onions, banana peppers, and sharp cheddar cheese on a demi baguette. We would definitely go back for the food and the fun casual atmosphere.

Out of this world - and great fries too!!!

Hayes is the best at HoneyHole sandwiches

By Om Mb |

Hayes really made my day today at HoneyHole sandwiches. I never thought that fries could taste so good.

Possible the worse resurant in Seattle

By almaziad |

We had lunch at this place and we are surprised how bad it was. My sandwitch was so bad that I wasn't able to finish and the waitress never bothered to ask me why. She just took it and threw it away in garbage. The place was surprisingly full. The salad was average at best. Here is our review: Pros: Good location on Pike street Cons : Terrible food quality Poor service Overpriced No WiFi Poorly decorated Limited options Too many warning signs n the restaurant When you order a salad with a burger, the will not serve the salad right away but will wait till your ticket comes up :(

Awesome Service and Great Cocktail and Food !

By Rachel M |

My Homegirl Yareli Over at Jefferson Made Me This Chai White Russian and a Steak Sandwich called the dude to pair with and I was drooling !!! Great Service and Nice Food Definitely Coming Back !! :)

kick butt

By Eric L |

Just left there, lunch on Sunday after Pike Market morning. Had the Fast Eddie and a draft. Very awesom. Funky eclectic decor.

Great sandwich shop

By @ wuffles-2 |

Tasty, hot sandwiches with a good variety of choices. Great food and atmosphere. Good option for either lunch or dinner

Comfort food

By Sara |

Plenty of sandwich options, even for vegetarians! Delicious comfort food. This place is basically a bar at night, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner I would recommend taking it to go!

Service refused

By Pascal K |

well, I guess it probably would be a nice place, but I was quite surprised not to be served a beer at this place, despite showing my foreign ID with all its security features and english translation on it, and despite being maybe double the age of the (very friendly) waitress... quite a novelty after ten months of traveling to dozends of countrys around the globe. dear management, please put a sign on your front door saying foreigners only welcome with passport. anyway, one bar down the road I'd get a beer without any questions or ID.

Great food in a fun & kooky bar

By chrisDTW |

Love the atmosphere...love the food! Awesome sandwiches and beers. Try the vegan BLT sandwich...YUM!

yummy sandwich

By welchs74 |

we had sandwiches and fries and they were great. after lunch, we decided to go for a walk in capitol hill to walk off lunch and had a great afternoon. awesome people watching.

Great little casual spot

By Beaton62 |

We stayed in this neighbourhood on a recent trip to Seattle. The sandwich selection is excellent. We really enjoyed the food. The service was just okay but the ambiance and food made it worthwhile.

Best Sandwiches but Pricey

By WWTravlin |

My husband and I absolutely love these sandwiches, but at $10 a sandwhich (not including a side or drink), it isn't a cheap lunch. Our favorite sandwich is the Waverider. Turkey, gouda, and pesto - an amazing combination! I'd also recommend going at an 'off' time as it is usually packed with a wait to get a table.

Bring your A game appetite

By Celise E |

This was one of the best meals of my trip. The Corleone (if available) is a must have and the HH Burger is delicious ( take a friend and go halfsies) if I am ever in Seattle again this place is on my list to re-visit.

Great little place!

By Derek C |

I first encountered this place walking past it a few months ago while on a night out in Capitol Hill. Of course the name drew some giggles and to my surprise this was a sandwich shop. Finally I had the chance to try this place out today. I ordered the Horace T Bailey with fries and a soda. The sandwich was delicious. Even now I can taste the pulled pork and cole slaw between the French bread. Fries were good (although in my opinion not much to write home about). The real star are the sandwiches. The shop has limited seating but there is a bar area to sit in. My only complaint was the speed. It was a good 20 minutes before my sandwich came out. Overall I like this place for the sandwiches and the environment. Nice casual atmosphere to bring out of town friends to.

Dont miss this sandwiches!!

By nlir |

Delicious sandwiches!!! You would think the bread will be a bit hard, but dont get fooled by what you see. It is perfectly soft but crispy! This is definetly a Seattle must!

Quality and Quantity!!!!

By mthreecubed |

Creative combinations, great bread, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked meats. You couldn't ask for a better sandwich. The staff were pleasant and helpful with making adjustments to the cleverly named menu items to fit individual tastes. The decor is the equivalent of the back of the cereal box. Lots to look at and read while enjoying your meal. Great choice for hearty eaters!!

Super Tasty Sandwiches, Neat Atmosphere

By paper_monkE |

Stumbled upon this spot and we were pleasantly surprised. We had "The Gooch" (a French dip like sandwich), everything about it was great, the flavor, texture and the price was totally resonable, although it was the special of the day.

Call In your order, Small and Popular

By 7Ashley7Boo7 |

I always go for the bandit. I love the brisket here. Also the fries are amazing. The location is a bit small but the service is slow because there's always a full house. My recommendation is to call your order in.

Great place for lunch in Capitol Hill

By David L |

Quirky place. find your own table and order from counter. Staff is friendly, sandwiches are great. Loved it that customers cleared their table, putting food in compost bin and sorting for recycling.

Great sandwiches

By mcsmx5 |

So glad we found this place open as we hadn't had a chance to have dinner and it was 10:30. The sandwiches were fabulous, so tasty. Lots of selection even for vegetarians. Price was very reasonable and the waitress was very friendly. Would go again if in Seattle.

Yummy Sandwiches

By lvflower |

Super Yummy! Big enough to split if you have a small appetite. Stopped in as we went through Seattle, would definitely stop again.

Great Hole in the Wall sandwich spot...

By Keith M |

Stopped here after visiting the Jimmy Hendrix statue in Capitol Hill. Hole in the wall laid back sandwich place. Friendly attentive staff. Tried the Veggie BLT - delicious ! Great art work/pop memorabilia on the walls.

Excellent eatery

By Nick T |

Just been here twice in my week long stay in Seattle. Had The Bandit and Buford T.Justice, both sandwiches very filling, tasty and ample size. Go in and order at the counter and then take a seat whilst you wait. Food pretty quick in coming out but fresh, well cooked and full of flavour. You won’t be disappointed if you go to this venue. $18 or so for a sandwich, fries and a beer.

Very cool place!

By Scott H |

I just came here for the second time. You can read my review about the first time but I must say I have to come back this place is great. decided I was going to start at the top of the hot sandwich menu and work my way down today was number one, last time I was here I had a cold sandwich it was awesome. The interior is decorated so cool you have to see it to believe it I tried to take a picture but it didn't turn out so many things hanging from the ceiling. friendly staff. Awesome food. If you're in the neighborhood don't miss the honey hole.

Great Sandwich Joint

By KrisK_8 |

The place is small with very eclectic decor and interesting music which make for an overall great ambiance. As the name suggests, they specialize in sandwiches and do a great job. Definitely not purchasing deli meat here. Funny names for the sandwiches and everything seems homemade. Sandwiches are very large and 2 people should be able to comfortably split a sandwich and order of fries. The fries themselves are pretty good, but it's the garlic aioli dipping sauce that is unbelievable. They also offer a selection of local beers on tap and in the bottle. Definitely worth going out of the way to get there and enjoy a sandwich.

Great sandwiches

By Charles T |

A couple of friends recommended this place to me - I'm glad that I listened. The sandwiches are delicious - the three of us shared The Club Tasty, The BuiLT to Satisfy, and The Corleone. We were all very satisfied. They seemed a little short staffed but not detrimentally so. A new favourite place for when up on the Hill.

Great place for a sandwich and a beer

By Mike S |

This is a great little hoppin sandwich joint with a great vibe. The staff is super friendly and the sandwiches are awesome. But wait! There's more! Lots of beers! So Cheers! A lot of energy here and it's all good. Don't expect to be in and out in 15 minutes because they're usually slammed and once you taste the food you'll know why. But let's face it...if you were in a hurry you'd be at the McDonald's drive thru. So treat yourself to a long lunch or if your touristing relax a little. Give yourself an hour and have that second beer - you won't regret it!

GF Baguette for the Win

By dbienz1 |

There aren't many places I can get an amazing gluten free sandwich. Honey Hole takes it a step further has has GF baguettes! It isn't the best GF bread I've ever had but its pretty darn good. The sandwiches in general are amazing and so are the salads. The reason there were 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. Two people in our party got there first and ordered drinks. When the other two people got there, me being one of them, it took almost 20 minutes for someone to come over and give us menus and/or take our drink order. In our time there we randomly had three drinks just set on our table (that we didn't order) and when we tried to say something the guy just walked away. Then we got someone's sandwich (it was the same order but a different side so I understand the confusion). And twice we got another table's bill! We hadn't even asked to cash out so it caught us off guard. Our main server did let us split our bill 4 ways which was great and made up for some of the crappy service the rest of the time.

Outstanding and delicious

By Wvuman |

Made my first, but not last, trip to Honey Hole and what a great find. Great menu options and cozy setting. Had the pulled Chicken with BBQ and it was outstanding. Fast service for those wanting to take it to go yet comfortable seating to dine in.

Damn, that IS a good sammach!

By Susan O |

This is an eclectic quirky hidden gem, and well worth a stop if you need drinks and something hearty to eat! My buddies and I love coming here, the sandwiches are delish, my fave is the Gooch!

an eclectic and fun sandwich stop!

By Jim K |

This place is a really great spot to stop and grab a tasty sandwich while roaming our capital hill district. there menu is suited for many different styles of eating and the quality of their food was excellent. The portion sizes where very large so you should not leave hungry. all in all a really solid choice for lunch.

Great food, good service, great value

By slat235 |

Came here during a weekday for a late lunch. Hubby had the club sandwich which was huge and I went for the popular Buford T. Justice pulled pork sandwich. Totally lived up to its reputation. This was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Friendly service. Value was great for the area. Highly recommend.

Great Sandwiches

By Alec D |

HoneyHole is a great place if you're looking for a good sandwich on Capitol Hill. Lots to choose from. Easy to find just off Broadway on E Pike St.

Fantastic!!

By Cookiedough3 |

Having tried to get into another place we'd heard of, and been disappointed, we found this place by chance. Quirky, dive-bar sort of atmosphere, friendly staff and exactly the sort of fare you want when you're hungry. Generous portions, super-tasty, cold beer to accompany - this was on the money. Loved it - if we had something similar at home, I'd never be out of the place.

Hot or cold you can't go wrong

By Bob G |

I'll keep coming back, I've tried 3 different ones so far and they were all great. Might try one of the vegan options next time as I hear they are great too.

Delicious!

By jlrva |

We went based on a review on Yelp and it was totally worth it. I was hesitant about the "sandwich" part of the name, thinking it would a deli, but it was a restaurant. They served burgers and fries, delicious sandwiches, and alcohol. I think I had the ThingOne, a chicken sandwich with pesto and it was awesome! Everyone was happy with their orders and the sandwiches all came on really delicious fresh rolls. This restaurant has a foodie/hipster vibe to it. Definitely not a tourist spot, seemed full of locals. There was a 20 to 30 something crowd there and it was packed on a Thursday night. Highly recommended!

Unexpectedly Delightful!

By BNeibert |

Our first visit and our eyes were filled by the interesting decor, delicious food made our taste buds dance, and the pleasant service made us smile. The self-serve soda fountain has an array of delicious beverages that aren't found elsewhere. Overall ... excellent and a place to return to over and over.

The fries are fantastic!

By Tofurry |

We came across this restaurant while picking up lunch in Seattle. Even though we already had lunch orders elsewhere, I HAD to order some fries and vegan potato salad, which in my family, goes with anything. Due to the pandemic second wave, they do not allow people inside so I ordered at the window. I ordered large fries and potato salad, waited about 10 minutes, then picked up the food at the same window. WOW! The fries are so good and a large is A LOT. Thick crispy fries that filled 2 plates so we have a lot of leftovers. The potato salad is also good but the star is definitely the fries. I saw that they offer many vegetarian sandwiches as well so we may have to come back to try those.

Excellent

By kwtraveler |

Great sandwiches! BLT on ciabatta and side salad, and the Bandit brisket sandwich with fries. Both were delicious. Open late, great service, nice local vibe.

Best sandwiches ever!!!!

By amoffat1245 |

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and it is amazing!!! In the Capitol Hill district it is a far walk from Pike's Market but well worth the travel! The atmosphere is fantastic, the sandwiches are unique and tasty, you can't beat the fries and the full bar is an added bonus!! Best sandwich I have ever eaten!

Connsumate Sandwich Place

By RobertM0604 |

Brought here by a local who recommended we have lunch. Menu is most enticing with sandwich descriptions of unusual varieties. I ordered a Ruben type sandwich that came on a marvelous baguette-like bread concoction. The bread was marvelous and fresh of great texture. The sandwich fillings were great with fine pastrami, sauerkraut, hot mustard of generous portions. I was wearing part of the sandwich at the end of the meal and could not finish the entire sandwich it was so large. Other sandwiches I viewed looked enticing also and hope to repeat this great lunchtime experience.

different, but very good

By yyjguy |

The small eatery has a very casual appearance that may put some folk off, but trust me the food is very good. A bit cramped for space, but then that is part of the charm. An unusual collection of hot and cold sandwiches served on excellent breads, very good salad and fries too. Really enjoyed the afternoon meal here.

Really nice staff and many vegetarian optiona

By Matt B |

Everyone we talked to who worked at HoneyHole was just as nice as they could be. To me, this makes all the difference. The restaurant offers five different veggie meat sandwiches, and they didn't disappoint! The server was also knowledgeable about the beer selection and was able to give me a great recommendation after I told her what I usually like. All in all it was wonderful.

Good vegetarienn selections, but super slow service.

By Beinman |

We are veggies and appreciate a wide menu selection. However, this is not fine dining and the restaurant was not full. 3 sandwiches and an order of fries, which they forgot, took half an hour. That said, the veggie Burger was good, as was my wife's veggie BLT.

Fun Vibe, Great Sandwiches!

By KSRuss |

So glad we decided to try out HoneyHole. They have so many sandwich options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. I had a hard time picking, so decided to start at the top of the veggie menu and got the Bellissimo- a delicious baguette that was easy to bite into with just the right amount of bread, filled with smoked tomato deli slices, other veggies and all kinds of amazing flavors warmed to perfection. I savored every bite! My husband had The Bandit - tender beef brisket, melted cheddar and more. He said it was great! Service was speedy and friendly. If you're looking for a chill and funky atmosphere with fantastic sandwiches, I highly recommend this place!

Good sandwich shop

By P0702-Orlando |

Great atmosphere with a personality. The sandwiches are fresh and different. Service was great; fast and friendly. The have vegetarian options as well as great BBQ with a kick. This was a good option as we were walking around the city.

Excellent unique sandwiches

By Paula Mac |

Food was great. I ordered a hot roast beef with cheddar cheese and au jus. The beef was flavorful and tender piled high on a delicious grilled roll. Served with a locally made Root Beer. The workers were helpful and pleasant. I did notice takeout orders were also popular. Definitely check it out!

Beer and burgers what's not to like?

By Rich D |

Walked over after mass from the cathedral. Staff helpful, knowledgable, priced right for family of 4. My wife was able to find a salad she enjoyed. The boys enjoyed being in a place with a younger feel. Walked back to residence inn lake union, a easy downhill safe walk.

A Honey of a Sandwich!

By Rosie W |

Great Sandwiches and a variety of choices: Ham, Turkey, Beef Brisket, Chicken, Pulled Pork, Pastrami, Flank Steak and a variety of Vegetarian choices. We had the Gooch a Thinly sliced in house roasted hot tri-tip beef, red onions, sharp cheddar cheese, horseradish mayo, and a side of au jus on a demi baguette and a Classic Vegetarian BLT.

Great sandwiches & atmosphere

By getouttatowngirl |

Got the gooch sandwich & steak salad. It was great. Fresh bread & looked like a good place for drinks.

Delicious sandwiches

By Macdougl |

BBQ brisket sandwich was excellent. Quick in & out for lunch pickup. The seating was limited and full at 2pm! I will be back for more.

Awesome!!

By Scott H |

What a great sandwich these people make and very nice wait staff. the place is extremely busy during the lunch few hours so keep that in mind but their cold sandwiches and hot sandwiches are both awesome.😎 enjoy the honey hole!

Great sandwiches!

By 907-Jeanne |

This is a hole-in-the-wall little restaurant on Capital Hill. They make delicious sandwiches, burgers and offer vegetarian fare, too. If you are in the area, eat there or do what we did, pack it to go for a picnic.

Yeah, The Sandwiches are That Good!!

By tswolfe65 |

What a great little place. My daughter told me about this place and that I had to try it. I ordered a To GO order and had a beer while waiting on it. I could tell there was a very cool little vibe there. From what I could see, it is not very big but definitely somewhere I would hang out with friends or a spouse, probably not the best for kids....atleast at night. The sandwich I had was loaded with flavor and had all fresh ingredients. I actually saved half of it for lunch the next day and that half tasted just as good, even after a day in the fridge. This place is a MUST if in the Capitol Hill area!!

Excellent choice for vegetarians

By Michael Maurer |

We came here for lunch after exploring the neighbourhood and bookstore. The place is really well priced and there is a whole menu with vegetarian choices! I'm not a vegetarian and LOVED my vegetarian sandwich - I had "The Juke". I'm not entirely certain, but I think the vegetarian protein they use is soy. Would definitely come back.

Outstanding GF option

By Woodsybarb |

We were in the neighborhood and stopped in on a whim. Our sandwiches were well worth a bit of a wait, and they offer EXCELLENT hot gluten free baguettes for their many wonderful sandwich combos. Highly recommend the Corleone and Emilio Pestovez. Wish we could return but are leaving today!

Awesome, amazing, incredible , etc!!!!!

By Shelby8143 |

We went to this place based off Tripadvisor reviews and it was on the money!!! A little hole in the wall. Laid back atmosphere. Cool music in background. Even awesome clean bathrooms. The food was incredible. Fresh rolls. Incredible tastes. We had Chachis, The Gooch, and The Bandit. All we insanely good. And on a Saturday afternoon the wait time was minimal even though they were busy. Definitely will be going back many, many times!!!

Good Sandwiches in Seattle

By JustinWoj |

Stopped for lunch and both our sandwiches were tasty. Service was a little on the slow side so if your in a rush might not be the place for you.

Tasty sandwiches

By chucks4mah |

Nothing but great tasting big sandwiches and a small bar.. Order at the walk up counter, find a seat and take in the interesting decor while you wait.

Gluttony Never Tasted So Good

By David H |

The first time I went here I had a salad. It was delicious, and huge. The second time I asked the server for a recommendation, was suggested the Club Sandwich, but instead of cold, hot! I have never had such a satisfying sandwich. It's huge, has great pieces of meat, and leaves you stuffed.

By Jeffery W |

I run by here 3 times a week early in the morning and the bbq is already going for later in the day and it smells so good. I'm from Kansas City originally and find west coast bbq questionable at best, but they actually got it down pretty good here (just get extras sauce so it's not so dry). Great group works there. Relaxed atmosphere- worth a trip for a sandwich.

VERY LOOOOONG WAIT

By BridgetMK |

Warning. On a Friday around 1:30pm it took about 45 minutes to get or sandwiches. I got The Dude, a flank steak sandwich. It was extremely good. Filling and enough food to justify the $10 price tag. The soda is all organic, housemade and delicious. Pay the extra $.75 for refills. In my one experience this not a grab and go place to eat. The wait was very long. We easily found a seat, even with the long line to order and slow food production. Delicious sandwiches when in capital hill.

Walked In and Would Definitely Go Back!

By JSH811 |

I was walking back to my hotel and needed to grab a quick bite. Saw HoneyHole and stopped in. Local sandwich show with great options. Food was fresh (I had the Roast Beef) and delicious. I would definitely return.

Best Sandwiches

By okhannahko |

Seriously the best sandwiches. It's definitely on the pricier side but they're worth it. Soups are also amazing. The vibe is cool and the staff members are all friendly.

Really great sandwich

By LBBalHarbour |

Big, creative sandwiches and soups. Very low key, hey it's Seattle. A drop on the grunge side maybe, but don't let that scare you. Worth a visit.

Awesome veggie stop!

By cydneykate |

Excellent service and recommendations! Lauren was awesome and gave a perfect suggestion. The food was awesome and the vibe was great.

Here for a Gooch time

By Mikala |

Alex was awesome and we didn't have to wait in line a long time! Brought our food out and Ethan makes boommbb drinks! I'll be back!

Still Debating....

By Ree206 |

I found out about this place through a friend. I was in the area and he begged me to stop by this place to grab him a sandwich before I came to visit him up north. I figured I get one myself since he seemed so desparate for one. It was good but I don't eat enough sandwiches to really say whether or not this is one of the best. However, him begging me to get him a sandwich from here tells you a lot! Maybe I'll have to try more items and will be back to let you all know!

Fun place

By Peter P |

This is a place only the locals might know about (our son and daughter-in-law took us). Great place for casual dining with the locals. Meatball sandwiches are the best! The place is quite small (15 tables or so), but turnover is quick. Well worth the wait.

Hidden gen

By tsc401 |

Amazing BBQ sandwiches. Low key atmosphere. Great solo or with large groups. They have a large alcohol selection as well.

Tasty food, big portions

By karag773 |

You walk in and immediately notice the cool and unusual atmosphere. Eclectic art on the walls. Pretty small with not a ton of seats but I easily found a spot for my late lunch. THE SANDWICHES ARE BIG! I got the waverider and fries and it was easily enough for two people. Sandwich was good! Lots of flavor! I had read the fries were award winning, but I thought they were good, regular fries. They serve beer and some cocktails but I did not try these. Service was super friendly and nice! I really enjoyed it!

Good sandwiches- GREAT FRIES

By Joy G |

Went here on the recommendation of a friend. Not disappointed. Though service was a bit slow it was worth the wait. Sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The fries were hot and crispy. Would recommend sharing a sandwich as they are quite large and we had much leftover. Would definitely go here again should the opportunity present itself. Loved the neighborhood too!

GREAT SAMMYS

Delicious little dive sandwich shop

By travelswide |

I don't know why, but for most of my recent trip to Seattle with my vegetarian wife to visit my vegan brother-in-law, I ate vegetarian. HoneyHole has a lot of delicious sandwich options (most were for non-vegetarians), but I still went for the vegetarian Emilio Pestovez. Also had a great pumpkin ale from Elysian Nights. Very cool place. Walked by it a few times at night and it seemed to still have a great atmosphere. Perhaps I warmed to the place because it was two blocks from where we were staying. I definitely recommend HoneyHole.

Delicious sandwiches 😋

By ColliersLivingLife |

We ordered two cold sandwiches to go and had a side of potato salad and a side of fries. Our sandwiches and sides were delicious. This is a popular little restaurant and bar so you may need to wait to be seated. Nice, friendly and attentive staff. We will be back next time we are in the Capital Hill neighborhood and have a craving for a sandwich.

Amazing recommendations

Just Really Liked This Place

So to be clear we are middle-aged but have a daughter in Seattle who takes us to her favorite haunts. This is one of them. The premises are somehow very cool and the cocktails excellent. We all got very good sanwiches and service.

Sandwich Nirvana for the Sandwich Addict

By Erinkimsf |

What a great little spot. For around 10 to 15 bucks or so you can fill up on a huge sandwich, a side of fries, and a beverage. Each sandwich is like a self contained unit of tasty, well balanced and proportioned perfection. The vegetarian sandwiches here that we've had so far are awesome. Highly recommend the Bellissimo. I was so inspired by this sandwich the first time, I went home and tried to recreate it/ The Dude is probably my favorite meat sandwich here (and possibly elsewhere, it could hold it's own against other incredible sandwiches a la Ike's or Morty's.) It's flank steak so tender and moist and tasty, sliced on a soft but crusty baguette with spicy sweet mustard, melt in your mouth grilled onions, tomato relish, etc.... Drool drool drool The fries are also delicious. You will be stuffed afterwards. The employees are always super chill and helpful. The restaurant is like industrial night meets cocktail hour meets fast food joint. Sometimes the music is a bit much but you can tune it out with the bliss of your meal.

THE BEST SANDWICHES

By Steves_Rickshaw |

Hands down the best sandwiches in Seattle, in Washington, and beyond! We’ve tried many and you just can’t go wrong at HoneyHole.

Hot food; cold drinks

By hoyland54 |

Went for lunch on a damp day. Ordered a hot sandwich and it was delicious and warm. Not warm was the choice of drinks. There is no tea, coffee or other hot beverage available. You can have iced tea, lemonade, water or soda, wine or beer. Happy hour starts at 5pm, but you won't get a hot drink. This is very strange in my opinion and something I will try to remember if tempted to go there again.

Awesome Sandwiches

My friend and I came here during our trip to Seattle after hearing great things. I must say that I was not disappointed. The food was amazing. Easily one of the best meals I had in Seattle. I would highly recommend anyone in the area visit this place.

Last night for dinner

What a great place for sandwiches! I had the wave rider and my husband had the Buford T Justice! Both were delish!!

Best sandwich...ever maybe...?

By Crystal K |

We stayed nearby the HoneyHole and found it the first night by accident. The food was excellent. We were a large group, 6 different sandwiches and all were amazing. Dinner was so good in fact that we went back the next night after a night out drinking, as they are open late. Had another great sandwich and probably some of the best blue cheese dressing I have had on a salad. Great service and full bar. I love this place!

Best fries ever!

By nitalp429 |

We got to HH around 4pm. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and the platter of fries and onion rings to share with my sister and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The fries were amazing! I want to go back to Seattle to eat those fries again! Our server was gruff, but it amused me. He would go up to tables and be like "so you know what you want yet?...oh wait a second I'll be back..." and then run away! haha. it made me laugh. The food was worth the iffy service for sure. There was a colorful crowd in the restaurant, to say the least. But i like that stuff!

Hot Sandwiches to DIE for!!

By Jeanine M |

Maxwell Hotel recommended this local restaurant. This is not the place to come if you are counting calories! I had The Dude and my daughter had the Honeyhole burger, which by the way is $8 on Sunday nights. Both came with either fries, salad or cole slaw. They were soooooo delicious. Would go there again.

Surprised at how good it is

By Gian B |

I avoided this place for years. It never looked like a place I would enjoy. But, I was taken there a few weeks back and was shocked at how delicious my sandwich was. I inhaled it!! It was a veggie sandwich and seriously set a high bar for other sandwich places! The decor is questionable... but I can now look past this aspect of the place. :-)

Fantastic food!

By nandodiver |

Fantastic food. Ordered a couple of sandwiches on-line. We were surprised on the quality of the meal. Great flavors, plentiful portions and the perfect blend of texture and temperature. I recommend "The Dude" - thick sleeves of steak, cheese and greens, perfectly toasted bread and the right amount of spicy mustard to make it a delicious choice!

Best Sandwiches in Seattle

Ordered a Texas Tease for a late lunch—smoked chicken breast with house-made BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, sautéed onions, and banana peppers. Wow! Perfect blend of flavors, textures, and crunch. Ambiance was perfect and comfortable. Service was stellar. Our order taker/server was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed comfortable and confident with his business. Best lunch I’ve had in a long time!

Sandwich Whisperer

By Cathy Downs-Phoenix |

Whether you are visiting Seattle, or live on the hill, HoneyHole is a must visit. This is a simple, dark, and wood prominent interior of a restaurant with a compact bar area. Perched on the corner of Pike and Bolyston, the HoneyHole takes their sandwich making very seriously while offering a truly authentic and warm encounter. These are the city's best sandwiches. Period. And, they have an impressive array of vegetarian versions of the classics that will delight even the most hearty carnivore. Like I said, they are serious about their sandwich preparation: they crank them out, and with care and precision one doesn't usually find in a sandwich place. The bread is fresh, high quality, and varied depending on the sandwich. Their condiments are perfection, and the insides of the sandwiches are generous without making it impossible to eat. The flavors are fresh, delicious, and it's all served up by engaged and friendly people. Go to the HoneyHole, just don't sit in our favorite spot...there are two window tables that make for some fabulous Capitol Hill people watching! Thanks HoneyHole. You are sandwich whisperers, and I'm grateful you are in my neighborhood.

Great atmosphere, service, food and beer

By RVan86 |

We went to the Honeyhole twice in our stay in Seattle. I have to say it was the best place we ate,and that’s saying something. Beer and wells are a reasonable price and the portions are a really good. Service is great too. I’d recommend a stop there for lunch or dinner, simple tasty food.

Excellent / good

By james671GuaMusic |

Ate the "Thing One" sandwich and it was great. The pesto sauce on the sandwich gave it a different but great flavor. The other sandwich ordered in our group was the "Fast Eddie". The bread was a little burnt. It did not taste burnt but was hard. The only real problem is that the food took a long time to come. We did come late though at around 10:45pm. It closes at midnight.

Gotta Try 'Em All!

By Steven S. |

Craving a quality sandwich? HoneyHole puts all other sandwich sellers to shame, with an extensive menu and quality ingredients. The Fast Eddie is a must-try. Have patience, the line is worth the wait! A very affordable option, considering it is a "gourmet" sandwich and is located dowtown Seattle. Only regret upon leaving is that there are many more sandwiches to sample!

Great sandwiches

By mountainmom5 |

This was recommended to us by the locals and they were right. The sandwiches were great! There were plenty of vegetarian options and I loved the combination of flavors. You can see their menu at thehoneyhole.com. The service was friendly, but it was a long wait for our food. Not the place to go if you're in a hurry, but worth the wait.

Yummy sandwiches

By PixelPrincess_2011 |

We found this place online and we loved the food! I had the roast beef sandwich and I stopped at the first bite: the flavor took me back to when my grandma made this sandwich for me years ago! The service was great; the server asked me if I'd like to sample the cole slaw before ordering. The portion size will not leave you hungry.

Fun, late night, delicious sandwich spot

By Kelsey D |

We found this place searching for late night eating in Seattle, and we've been back several times since. I'd recommend any of the warm sandwiches. We've had the Gooch and the Dude, both were awesome. Definitely ask for a side of ranch to dip your fries in - you won't regret it. Cheap drinks during happy hour. Eclectic and fun vibes.

OK lunch spot

By tngregscott |

Sandwiches were good (great build, really "bread-y"), and the wait was a little long due to mixing in online orders. Cool place, nice vibe, and the service/people were great!
