A family member highly recommend that this is the place for Chinese Dim Sum. My wife, her cousin, and I went here for lunch. We ordered different dishes of dim sum - Steamed Chicken Feet, Rice, Pork Shumai, Spareribs with Rice, BBQ pork bun,and Beef Tendons. The food was good but not great. The service was not good, you need to get their attention, but then again thats how it is in most Chinese restaurants. The prices were ok, $30 total. Overall it was ok but it wouldn't have been my first choice.

My summer guests wanted to have a nice Chinese meal after trying other cuisines. Honey Court was recommended by my family’s younger set and their friends. Previously, been hits and misses as far as Seattle Chinese restaurants. Went on a Friday night so the place was buzzing with locals and tourists. We were not disappointed with food. Tasty dishes in generous servings. Service was a little slow. Mistake made on one order was fixed right away and compensated with a free dessert. The place need some updating with a neater look and fresher smell. Understandably it’s a busy restaurant-a Seafood one at that- but there’s that smell of a restaurant that’s not being cleaned and scrubbed properly. Odor that stays in carpet and walls. I’ve observed that this is what some popular restaurants take for granted just because customers come back a anyway for the good food. Also should have more servers to cut short the waiting time. I’ll probably go back for the food as there’s none better so far.

Terrible service. My family and I (5 people) came on a Thursday‘s night at around 9:15PM. We got a table quite quickly by an old waiter. He was enthusiastic (the only good thing for the entire night). We wanted to be cozy but the assigned table was too big, so we asked to switch to a smaller table, just an extra chair would be fine. And they said no :) so we just stuck to it. We ordered 5 dishes (mapo tofu, beijing duck, and the rest that I couldn’t remember the name of), and waited for more than 30 minutes for the dishes to come. It was such a long wait compared to other Chinese restaurant we had been to. They gave us 2 bowls and spoons for 5 people, which eventually we had to ask for more, of course. During the entire course of the meal, every time we needed some assistance, it was either no one was around, or they just flat out ignored us. I even made eye contact with one of the waiters and she just stood there did nothing. The least she could do was a simple sentence: I will be with you in a minute. But nooo. The waiters here had the worst kind of attitude I’ve seen anywhere. Our annoyance grew as we felt uncomfortable and just wanted to get the f out of the restaurant, so we asked for the bill. 3 TIMES. And waited forever just to the point I got so pissed off I showed my anger. Then surprise, they gave us the bill immediately. I guess the overall behavior is screw the guest until they get pissed off. Food was mid, the mapo tofu and duck was good, but the rest just tasted the same, bland. They probably think their service is top tier and automatically took out 18% tip out of the bill. Well, in my experience, their service is straight up bulls***. This is the first restaurant I know that fixes tip amount, too. Honey Court is such a special snowflake. Well, apparently they are popular already so they don’t need a few more new customers. To add on, a couple of male customers walked past our table and mocked us very audibly as one of my family member (a minor) got a bit sick. So the overall atmosphere here is rude and disrespectful ^^ If you want to have the worst night of your life eating out with your friends and family, Honey Court is the way to go. You couldn’t even pay me to come back here again.

Authentic Cantonese food. Classic, not fancy but just fantastic. You must try the cold jellyfish you will be amazed.

Where else can you get delicious, hot, sweet, salty, savory dim sum for under $20 including tip? This is a beloved neighborhood place. Everything is great: baked hum bao, shrimp and scallop dumplings and lovely pork thingies. Everything is great except the chicken feet which are maybe an acquired taste. I'm here once a month.

They serve good food. The service was fast. I also really liked that we went with people who know what to order and where to eat. We had the salt and paper pork chop, honey walnut prawns, crispy noodles, and other food. It was all good and very filling. I would come back to try their dim sum.

This place is amazing! My husband and I brought our three kids here and they can be picky. We ordered four entrees and everything tasted wonderful and the kids loved it as well. We would absolutely come back here if we are ever back in Seattle. Friendly staff and fantastic food.

We've been going here for years. Hadn't been here for a while and went recently and it's still a fun and yummy spot for lunch for dim sum!

Honey Court is something of an institution and has been around for years. In our younger years we would go have seafood chow mein and salt fish fried rice after a night on the town in Pioneer Square. After that it became a place to go for a Saturday or Sunday dinner with the family and now just a familiar place where the food is always consistently good, the menu seldom changes and the staff are their somewhat less-than-friendly but efficient selves. Try the crispy noodle chow mein, honet walnut prawns, any fresh fried fish and their assorted fried rice offerings. You'll enjoy everything you order for certain.

This is a good Chinese Food restaurant. They have a very large menu to include an extensive seafood menu. You can order live fish and seafood, and have it cooked to order. This is a great place to get late night eats, they’re open till 3:30am on the weekends.

Fast, hot, delicious dim sum in the International District. Always good. Plenty of standard stuff like shrimp dumplings, broccoli, and egg tarts. Service is friendly and fast. It's my go-to dim sum place, and I never end up spending more than $10 for a wonderful lunch. Steamed hum bao are delicious. A real neighborhood place.

This worked out well. We are frequent visitors to this part of Chinatown. It was time to check out another place to eat. We love many types of food, and it turned out that we found one with Dim Sum! Deceptive looks, the usual beat up exterior with a truly beautiful storefront that looks like it is a different shop. Nope, inside was clean and modern and they had expanded into the other shop space. The food was wonderful;. The Shrimp Dim Sum was full of large shrimp, and the lobster was fantastic. We were looking for just a little bite and we got only what we needed to keep going on that days "Food Trip" around town.

Stopped here for lunch. EXCELLENT find. Portions were huge, everything was very tasty. Highly recommend. Salt and pepper squid, mixed seafood dish, Seafood soup and shrimp fried rice all excellent.

My cousin and I stopped here for lunch. This place is located in Seattle's Chinatown or International District. We shared a seafood and veggie dish that was out of this world. plus a broccoli dish, exquisitely season. We also had rice. The service was super efficient. I'd love to eat here again.

Although they have a wide menu, unfortunately our food was just average. Although it didn't state it on the menu one of our dishes had bones in it. Had we known we wouldn't have ordered it. The Mongolian beef was OK but the pieces of meat were huge, The service was OK but nothing special.

Very popular with the locals, very few tourists or Anglos but the food is unbelievably great and so reasonable. I thought they forgot to charge me for some items. Was wonderful authentic, experience.

Eight of us enjoyed dim sum (along with some menu items) here for a birthday celebration. Many good choices. We especially enjoyed their walnut shrimp, kung pao chicken and potstickers. And topped it off with their mango pudding.

Dim Sum is always on the menu when we visit Seattle. This place in the International District fit the bill. It was our daughter's first time to have cart service. They had a wide variety of really good dim sums. I would not recommend the scallops and shrimp - the scallops were tough - or the chop suey noodles - they were a bit greasy. Everything else was top notch.

This place was recommended by our cab drive on the way in, so we stopped by for dinner on our first night in Seattle. It was really authentic HK style Chinese to our liking as we ordered many of our favorites like Roast Chicken, Salty fish fried rice, Beef and Guy Lan, and fish with mixed veggies. Then the next day, we came for dinner again with a group of 10 and ordered the 10 item fixed menu for $288. Most were good and we all gave it a thumbs up. Has space for large groups as well as table for 2-4 diners.

Honey Court definitely had some of the best and most authentic Chinese food in the Seattle Chinatown area. They have a lot of dishes and some are really unique and ones you can't find in a typical 'Chinese' food/takeout restaurant. Everything is cooked well and tasted great. Wasn't a fan of the Five Spices Chicken (believe it or not, it was too bland!). Otherwise, everything was great and super authentic. The restaurant itself is spacious and looks really nice on the inside as well.

I've had dim sum all over the world, and frankly, the Honey Court is right up near the top of my favorites. A lot of local asian people eat there. It's so asian, that sometimes they will segregate the white folks - maybe because they like it that way, maybe because they serve some wild things! Who's to say, but the dim sum is always great. The restrooms are not great, but as an asian friend of mine said, 'are you going to eat in the restroom?' Try it, if you like dim sum. I think you'll like it!

My friend invited me to eat here after a long drive; the place is not that fancy; the food is average,, you can taste that they put MSG. My friend ordered honey walnut shrimp to take out but as soon as the waiter handed it to her, she noticed that the portion is just a quarter of the amount of what she used to order for $15. So she immediately approached the staff, but they told her that that's how it is. She said she was not satisfied and wanted to cancel the order , But they said we could return the food but they would not refund our money. Our disappointment was that they did not handle the complaint properly-they could have offered us something else to make up for the measly portion. A customer was dissatisfied but they did not do anything about it. They don't have customer service and they did not seem to care at all.

Chow mein was so so, but that’s not really why you go to dim sum. Spare ribs, shu mai, and har gow. All excellent. Definitely worth a try!

My family and I were visiting my brother's family in Seattle. They raved about this place so we were very excited to try it. Upon entering the smell of fish was overwhelming, so much so it was making me nauseous. The place is decorated ok but looked a little run down. We were seated right away and the service was very good but the food wasn't. Since we're from NY we thought everything was bland with no spices or salt. My sil asked if I liked the spare ribs and I said I would love to try some. When they brought them to the table they were white globs. Back home, spareribs are pink meat so I'm not sure what that was. It's not like Ny chinese food. My brother and his wife still love going here but we wouldn't return.

I overheard a Chinese woman recommending this place to another Chinese woman - in English - so I decided to follow up on it given it was lunchtime & I was in the mood for dim sum. The sign says dim sum is served 11-3 so at 1:25 it should have been prime time. Not so. We got 1 order of dumplings and then a sizable pause before any other food was served. Another dumpling type came out but we were wanting more than just dumplings so we waited. And waited. Finally a waitress said they were no longer serving dim sum off the carts, but off the menu. So we ordered a taro cake and began another lengthy wait. Finally we decided dim sum just wasn't in the cards for us & decided to leave. Around this time the restaurant filled up somewhat and so dim sum service from the steam carts was back on! Well, not for us. We gave up & went on our way. You know it's bad when your dim sum tab for 2 is about $9. We could have simply ordered non-dim sum items off the menu but were never given that opportunity.

Christmas time was wonderful. But everyday is a great day for Honey Court. The service is excellent and the food is first class. The Walnut Prawns are almost sinfully good. Family style dining in a great and friendly atmosphere. The absolute best dining in the International District.

the dim sum is fresh, there is a bit of a wait on Saturdays and Sundays, but the wait is worth it, you wont be disappointed

Excellent food and service. The waitress was very welcoming and helpful with the menu. Best authentic Chinese food we've ever had!

I expected more from this restaurant but was disappointed. Service was slow and rude. When the food finally arrived, we were surprised, the portions were all huge, but taste and quality left a lot to be desired. I don't think I will go back.

Roughly 95% of the patrons of this restaurant are Chinese and their families. It is a relatively non-descript place - just simple wood tables with fabric-covered chairs. The dim sum is terrific. Very fresh and lots of variety. A friendly staff and the owners always oversee and help. If you go on weekends, its best to avoid the rush between 11 and 1.

Probably the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. People from other tables too had to chase down the waitresses. Seafood platter was overwhelmed with oil.

Yea so its a Chinese restaurant in the international district of Seattle - I dont want to judge anybody, but can you expect top notch service? That doesnt matter when going to Honey Court because I never went there for the dining experience, I went there for food. I lived in Seattle for 7 years and been here a bunch of times. They are open really late - at least until 2-3am if I remember right. So they get busy on the weekends after the clubs/bars start to shut down. My favorite time to go was after dinner hours, but before late night hours - so 9-11pm. One of their most popular dishes are the crispy chicken. You can get a 1/2 chicken or Whole chicken at about $10-14 and its awesome. I never been there for dim sum hours, but I heard its good. I would always get the crispy chicken, a various noodle or rice dish, and a various vegetable dish. This will easily feed 3 or more people - depending on your hunger level. Under $30 + tip for a dinner for 3-4 is excellent. Like I said the service is lacking - they seat you and some of the servers will immediately try to get an order from you. If you tell them you need a minute - they will be back in literally a minute. They are nice enough though. One thing I experienced is when I went with my chinese friend (especially with her mom) you can get better service, you can make special orders, etc.. Sad to say, but it makes perfect sense. Either way, its a great spot - open late, cheap, and awesome food.

Came here for dim sum. They had a power outage so this might have affected the quality of food since they stop business for 45-60 minutes. The dim sum was overall good compared to AZ standards. Shrimp dumplings were a bit too over steamed but again it could have been due to them being steamed for about an hour due to power outage. The beef tendons were super soft and tender.

I have always liked Honey Court since my university days in the 1990s. It is a favorite among Indonesian students. When I came back to Seattle in 2011, I brought my family to this restaurant. They also like it. So when we come again this year, they asked to eat there again. Our favorite dish is mongolian beef and honey walnut prawns. It's been 20 years since I first ate there, and most everything is still the same (the ambience, staff, food).

We came here for a late night snack but ended up having to order more than just a snack. If you are into soups then I highly recommend the shrimp and pork wonton soup. They also have the one of best roasted duck I've tried, crispy in the outside and tender in the inside. This is a typical chinese restaurant so don't categorize it as fancy. Its just a great place for a good chinese food.

delicious dinner. Good ambience. Even better food. Service was also impeccable. Dishes were super delicious and we're even better. Definitely will visit again when I'm Seattle next.

It's been many years since I've been to Honey Court. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they went through a refresh of their interior. At least until I took a closer look. The new logo looks good, but the paint and everything else done in the restaurant was very cheaply done. Anyways, the service was horrible just like I remember. The place wasn't even busy and they had 4-5 servers working. I had to walk to the kitchen area twice just to flag someone down. Now to the food. I heard from some people that the food got better, but honestly, it was as bad as I remember. I think most people just come here after clubbing when they're drunk and would be willing to eat anything put in front of them. Do yourself a favor and head to Jade Garden, Kau Kau, or Harbor City instead.

The restaurant is a hole in the wall, but the food was delicious if a bit too oily. Menu is ordinary, but evertyhing is super fresh and served hot. We especially liked the whole crab!

we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. the Chinese style seafood and cuisine was very good. you could tell they have a lot of repeat customers

My family came here today. My son came here before but this is my husband's and my first time and I would never come back to this place again. The way the server treated us was disgusting and humiliating. The youngest lady server is working in the restaurant today 2/8/26 Because my son wants to help us pay the bill, he asks her to split it. The bill came up much higher than my husband expected so he asked the server a question. Is this half of the bill? And she just snapped at my husband like my husband is the most stupid person in the world. She raised her voice and her tone when she answered my husband. I guess she must be the owner's daughter and even so she should never treated people that way. Especially they're your customers. She's either a spoiled brat, having a dark day, or hates her job. Send her home for a day if I were you. She's destroying your business and reputation. This girl has issues and she needs help obviously.

it was recommended by my friend as one of the most ffavorite Chinese Restaurant in Seattle. I tried this place for family dinner tonight. We ordered their onion ginger lobster, steamed fish, crispy chicken, chicken fried rice and garlic spinach. They all were very good! Like this place.

Great place to go after going out with friends to the bars. Good filling food. Typical Chinese food.

Mongolian beef is tasty. Loved house special chow Mien. Won ton soup was blah and greasy. Made him take it off bill, he wasn't too happy. Will be back to try dim sum cart. We just missed it. Packed full of local families having that.

Just the two of us, ordered the stir fried lobster in Salt & Chili Pepper. Classic Cantonese Style The live Atlantic lobster was expertly chopped up with a cleaver, dipped in light corn starch and guickly deep fried to seal in the juices and flavour, the poor delicious lobster is then stir fried with a bit of chilli and served up hot and steaming to our table. The Chef cut the lobster so perfectly that the meat was exposed and easily accessible without the aid of messy crackers. The delectable sauce was sopped up with steamed rice. The rices was a excellent pairing but I would like to try the lobster served with noodles next time. The splurge was worth every dime. As good as anything found in Hong Kong. Our wonderful server was Julia

The food is good, of course mostly fried during dim sum time, there is somewhat of a lack of some dishes, like the shrimp in noodles. The various buns are freakin' gigantic. Good, though, no gristle in the Pork Bun, for instance. It's not anything like expensive, either. Hm, as I write this review, I raised my overall rating.

Another great Dim Sum eatery in Seattle's Intrrnational District. Very attentive service. Language barrier was small problem, overcome by another English Speaker named Sandy. Heavily favored by locals. Small line so we waited 10 minutes, well worth the wait. Good strong tea was a bonus. Highly recommend this place.

Heard this was a great place to eat. Got there at 1830. Name on list. An hour later and after being passed over three times, we left!

Easy stop by rail transit from SeaTac to Seattle. Excellent Dim Sum and very friendly service. Recommended! Shrimp chives dumplings, egg tarts, eggplant with shrimp and pork shu mai

Sunday brunch, the restaurant was fully book, waiting list for 15 minute , fast service .We just tried dimsum, not too many choices, it tastes like it normally does. maybe next time we will try another food from menu

If I could give this place no stars I would As a former restaurateur I am rather generous with praise and keep my negative comments to myself when dealing with small local places. I took a child for lobster tonight. To celebrate. The waitress said all their lobsters were 3-4 pounds (very unusual for Seattle-for any place in October). She said she might have 1 at a little over two pounds. She brought over what we call a "chicken lobster", It could not have been more than 11/4 lbs. It was probably more like a pound. I questioned her and she said all the weight is in the tail. I knew better but this was a celebration. To insult me even more, when it arrived, there was TO LOBSTER TAIL MEAT and some of the shells were empty. The eight year old I was dining with kept picking through the pile of shells and saying "there's no meat, there's no meat" We both decided not to make a scene and left without saying anything. What could we say? The bill was $40.00. We had maybe an an ounce or two of meat and big bowl of rice. I am from the East Coast. I have lived in Maine and the Cape. This was not my error. This was deception. Twice. It was ugly. Stay away.

Best chow menu I’ve ever had. Efficient staff and reasonable prices. If we’re ever in Seattle we will return.

Rat infested.running under our table and they were huge. Lots of them. Employees did not care!! Then over charged us. As we ran out

Went here for lunch, so there were plenty of dimsum carts. XiuMai and Hargows were solid, the tendon was yummy. But stay away from their "Kitchen Specials". They're plates of rice, or noodles that are on carts that are meant to take away pressure from the kitchen. That is fine and all, except they price them high as well. Stir fried rice noodles for 15 dollars is highway robbery. You're better off ordering something from the menu for about the same price and will be cooked to order.

The BEST Dim Sum in USA trust us we've done the leg work, it was outstanding and sooooo cheap. Had to wait but because there was only 2 we got to sit with others, we're so full we had to pack as take out and it was still only $28 for us. Carpet a bit shabby with food spills but who care when your there for the food hey?

The Honey Court Seafood Chinese Restaurant, located at 516 Maynard Ave South., here in Seattle, Washington, is a very good restaurant. A friend and I enjoyed dinner here. The service was good. The ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasant. It is just a nice venue to sit in and enjoy a meal. Our food was very good and the prices average for today's restaurants. I believe that they are open until 3 O'Clock in the morning. Their Singapore Rice Noodle (a dish that I greatly enjoy) was average at best. It lacked the influence of Curry, a spice I am used to having with this dish. That being said, what I received was still enjoyable.

I personally love the bbq duck and the honey walnut prawns but everything I've ordered has been delicious.

This is without question the best Chinese Restaurant in Seattle. Family style with large portions served as family dining. One dish will feed 2 to 4 people. The food is incredible. However, the finest must have dish is the Prawns with Honey Walnuts. Next thing to heaven.

We joined friends for dim sum on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was bustling--partly because there was a large wedding party toward the end of our meal--but we were seated right away with a reservation. I am not a Chinese food afficionado, but our friends were. I tried many items for the first time: tendon, chicken feet, daikon cakes, and a variety of new dumplings. The food was good, and I think it was authentic. Service never let us down, so we were able to nibble non-stop throughout our meal. If you're looking for a broad variety with prompt service, this may be the place for you.

My husband and I ate here on a suggestion from my cousin who went to school at Seattle U. She said it was the best place to go for late night dinning, and she was right. The service was fast. The food was beyond delicious and the prices were very very reasonable. We enjoyed it and will be back during our next visit to Seattle.

This is like the best of places in any Chinatown in any large city. Its relatively plain, but OMG is the food good. On weekends Its mainly filled with Chinese families, which is always a good sign. It can get packed between 11 and 2, so visit early. Just choose from the passing carts. Its a true experience in eating.

Why? Cleanest restaurant in the ID that I’ve been in. Cart service is constant and fresh. Servers are actually helpful to the menu items and service was fast and helpful. Tea delicious Shrimp and chive dumplings were my favorite, but all was good. Bbq bao flavor wonderful. Their chili sauce, I wish I could have bought it. Don’t be afraid of the wait, it goes quickly. Clean bathrooms!!

When we arrived and ordered there were very few people in the restaurant and yet as more people arrived, ordered, and were served, our food simply never arrived. The three simple dishes we ordered finally came out one at a time about every 15 minutes after we asked repeatedly for said food. They were really not worth waiting for. Pea Vines with garlic were bitter, the honey walnut shrimp had way too much gooey stuff on it and the fried rice was a little on the greasy side. At no point did anyone ever check back with us except to dump our food off and they also dropped off the check before they delivered the third dish. Won't be going back there anytime soon or ever.

The honey walnut prawns at this place are delicious. I have been coming to this restaurant for late night meals ever since I was in college. It has pretty decent prices and you should probably try to go with a group of friends so you can order family style and try various dishes.

delicious but not better than V Garden

I got to say after living in Seattle for 20 years and with a decent Asian population there would be some pretty rockin Chinese food. Somehow the cuisine Art has passed over Seattle and it still the best in Richmond BC if you ever get near Vancouver. There's only one Chinese restaurant to eat in Seattle I think and that's din Tai Fung. Poor Chinatown just doesn't have what it takes. Don't know why. First thing we ordered was the sizzling rice soup. The green beans with garlic, dried shrimp and pork were OK at best. The orange chicken was just OK once again and the other item was a mixed plate of vegetables with mixed meats and seafood. Blah blah blah. As my son said, I wouldn't make a special trip to this restaurant. Maybe if we were already in the neighborhood and want to do lunch.

I hadn't eaten at Honey Court for years and recently started going back. Honey Court seems to have gone through a wonderful renovation/upgrade on all levels, food, service and atmosphere. I have lately tried all of the dim sum joints in Chinatown and Honey Court gets the award. Try the curried tripe for something new and adventurous. The barbeque pork hum bow are hot, steamy and delicious and the barbeque pork mini-pastries are flakey and scrumptious--the best in town, inho. Want something other than dim sum? Try one of the spicy Singapore specialities like Sambal Prawns & Squid, Singapore Spicy Chicken, Hokkien Prawn Noodles Soup and Singapore Chili Crab (especially delectable). Dishes that supplement dim sum well and are served along side dim sum are congee (Century Egg & Pork Congee is the best), Noodles with Shredded Duck Meat (soup on side), Noodles with Beef Organs, Pork Hock & Jelly Fish and salt/pepper Duck feet (nice and crunchy). And don't forget to check out the "Chef Specialities". They are all delicious! And the service is fun and upbeat. Oh, and did I mention how reasonable the prices are? Most dishes are unbelievably inexpensive. If you haven't been to Honey Court Seafood Restaurant in a while, give it a try--you won't be disappointed.

Late night salty frish fried rice with chicken...best I've found. Everything else is better than good but not great.

The Honey Court is typical for this area. It is not elegant, but the food is superior. The calling card for most is the dim sum at lunch and after hours. There is an enormous variety, and the dishes are excellent. When dining off the menu, don't miss the salt and pepper squid, the chinese greens, or the Ginger crab. That said, the menu is as thick as a volume of the Encylopedia Britannica. There are possibly 300 items here. It takes 20 minutes to read the vegetarian section. Good luck in making your choices on your first visit

It was open and the food was good. We were wasted at 3am and found this joint. Great on open hours but expensive and okay service. If you're ever in our condition at 3am Cecil it out.

I've been a long time customer here and enjoyed every visit. I love their hot dimsum and the noodle dishes especially. While they've changed owners, the food remains consistently good. I once took in three live lobsters and they cooked them for me three different ways!

Met Friends here in Chinatown section of the city. It was a great experience. The staff interacted with the group to make it an overall great experience. The food was served family style and I was glad to get a chance to sample a variety of foods.

We had a delightful authentic dim sum lunch here. We had 4 different items. All were delicious but the calamari was outstanding. I highly recommend this place if you are in Seattle.

Excellent proper cantonese. Good duck noodle soup and dim sum. All dishes looked good with friendly service. Go if you want good, genuine cantonese.

Extremely clean place with extensive menu that features a variety of food. All of it was delicous. Only down side was that we were served our dishes as they were ready, some of us had to wait a while before our dish was served.

Love the mayo shrimp. Avoid weekends as the wait time might be a while.

Seattle is only a mediocre Chinese food city. It is far from Vancouver BC (Richmond), SF or LA (San Gabriel Valley). Honey Court is about as good as it gets for Cantonese cuisine in town. No matter what time of day you go it is usually busy. Popular dishes are salt and pepper squid, honey walnut prawns, salted fish chicken fried rice, garlic chicken wings, house special chow mein Hong Kong style, multiple noodle soups and anything from the fresh tanks such as crab with black bean sauce. This is also a great to go restaurant. Portions are substantial. Prices are average for pricey Seattle. Parking is always a challenge in Chinatown. There is a 3 minute load/unload spot outside the front door which you can use for to go orders. Service is prompt and experienced.

I love dim sum, and I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy it in Hong Kong as well as a few cities in southern China. I can therefore attest that the dim sum at Honey court is both very, very good and very authentic. This may help explain why, more often than not, when we go there the place is packed, and almost all of the patrons are Chinese families. Fortunately, this is a pretty large restaurant and wait times are rarely more than a few minutes. Once seated you will be offered a seemingly nonstop array of various steamed, broiled, and fried delicacies. The emphasis is on seafood -- mainly shrimp and scallops, but chicken and pork items are also plentiful, as are noodles and veggies. The Chinese broccoli is a particular favorite. If there is something you don't see on one of the carts -- some chow mein, perhaps -- just ask for it. Some of the servers have limited English, so understanding exactly what you are selecting may be a challenge, but that's really part of the fun. If it looks good, try it! Prices are so low that a "miss" won't add much to the bill when you are done. On our most recent visit, my family and I ate more than was good for us, and the bill came to less than $15 per person including tip. Hint: Its location makes Honey Court an ideal spot for a meal before a Seahawks game or a Mariners or Sounders day game. But allow extra time, as a lot of fans know this.

great food! eat only in the daytime!!!!
Came for a crab and wasn't disappointed
This is a establishment we've walked by fifty times and we thought it was time we finally went in. Since there were only the two of us we took a look at a dungeoness crab (2.5 lbs) and ordered that, plus a dish of beef and chinese broccoli. The crab came with some batter on it, plus a dusting of garlic and red peppers. The iconic restaurant for the garlic and pepper crabs is "crabs under the bridge" (and the place next to it) on Hong Kong island, but they don't add the batter. As usual this crab was messy to eat, but you won't care. The beef and broccoli was also good. I washed the tidbits down with a routine beer. And tea if course. Quite a few other people were in the restaurant. Check their cool scanner at the door that takes your temperature! $105 with tip. Bon appetit!
