We visited this eatery and was quite surprise at how tasty the food are and also healthy. The place is adequately priced and they have a unique way of presenting the different foods on the menu. I love their own blend of drinks, healthy too. We love the Ginseng Green Tea with honey and cane juice. A must try whenever you are in Philadelphia.

I absolutely love the concept of this place, probably more so than the food. The high tech, yet so simple way of ordering is very cool. Think Wawa but a few levels up. The choices of salad or stir fry are great but not good for an indecisive foodie like myself. I could have so much fun with the ingredients and customization options. The food taste delicious but you really do have to know what to get due to the many options. It could be hit or miss depending on your taste preferences. I would recommend keeping it simple for your first few visits then slowly graduate to more creative dishes. It's definitely worth a try. Enjoy!

The stir-fry consists mainly of noodles with a sprinkling of vegetables and meat. My family doesn't want to get take out here anymore.

Found this place close to my hotel and was really glad I stopped in for dinner. The concept is fast, fresh and casual. Every order is personalized to your liking. The menu focuses on stir frys, salads, smoothies, and the aptly named "honey bar" - which is yogurt and honey with your choice of toppings. I did a MYO salad with the honey ginger sesame vinagrette. YUM! And I took a chance on the signature smoothie - the Kalatta (kale, pinapple and mint). DELISH! I felt healthy and vibrant after my meal. Friendly staff, clean/bright space to eat, high quality ingredients and decent prices make this a winner. I will go back again and you should try it too!

this place is so popular that there is often a line out the door. Don't worry - it moves fast. Service is fabulous and you are rewarded with fabulous, tasty organic food for a reasonable price! worth the wait.

Healthy, locally sourced meats and produce -- stir fries, salads, smoothies, fruit snacks. You order at a touch screen, get a number, and then they prepare the food behind the counter -- to order. You pick a base (different kinds of noodles, rice, boston lettuce cups), vegetable toppings (there are lots of choices), protein (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, tofu, eggs), sauce, garnish. I created my own and got lots of extras (both rice in the stir fry and lettuce cups), 5 vegetables, an extra protein -- and it was $12. Filling. Dinner! Everything tasted fresh. Your meal is served in an take-out box (think Chinese restaurant) -- which is a little clunky if you eat there -- I'd like a plate. Lots of people are getting take-out (of course). The atmosphere is fast-food-ish -- I wouldn't go here for an important business meeting or a date.

I had an hour for lunch and decided to stroll around Philly. I kept seeing people with bags that had Honeygrow on them and finally asked the third person where the restaurant was. I was helped by a server at the kiosk and we created a concoction for my lunch. The food was very fresh and tasty. Great find and a better understanding of why so many people had these bags in their hands.

Love that honeygrow has a touch screen ordering system to create a customized meal. They food is great quality. They have a variety of different toppings to add in. They have some great sauces too! Worth a try if your in a rush!

This is a review of the Bala Cynwyd location. Human interaction in minimized here. You order at a computer station. The computer shows you all of your options for dining. You select your protein, vegetable, pasta, greens. You make your own choices. Your selection can be as varies as you like. No two meals are necessarily the same. The greens were fresh and crisp. The proteins were cooked well. The amount of favor you have depends on your selections such as sauces or dressings. You can have a completely different meal every time you dine here.

Every time I have an overnight in downtown Philadelphia I always get take out from Honeygrow. Even when it is busy, they are typically efficient. The food is always fresh and there are tons of options. The 'honey bar' is ridiculously good and criminally underutilized by most customers. In general its a little pricey but totally worth it given the quality of the food.

One of my new favorite fast, casual places to eat. A variety of fresh (and organic) veggies to choose from in either a stir fry or a salad. My husband and I split a baby kale salad that had tofu, onions, peppers, zucchini and a spicy dressing and a chicken stir fry with a coconut curry sauce. I love that you can personalize it with crunchy or sweet toppings to give your creation a bit of zest. The place is insanely busy with lines out the door so choose a time that isn't so popular for the rest of the eating public. Fast, fresh and flavorful at a good price. Good place.

I loved the fact I was able to choose exactly what I wanted! This is possible via a screen, you can easily pay with your card and then just wait for your salad. The salad was really good.

For a place that is so close to the University, it is sad that there are just a couple of vegetarian options. The kale salad was without flavor. The stir fry was better.

This place makes you grateful for this type of concept restaurant: fast, healthy, cheap. Known for salads, stir fries & smoothies, they pack a ton of flavor in their meals! My personal favorite is the coconut curry sauce over wheat noodles, chicken and veggies but there are lots of options. Wish I had one near me!!

We stopped for lunch during the week and really appreciated the fresh ingredients used at Honeygrow. This chain specializes in salads, stir-fried dishes and frozen yogurt, with the patron choosing ingredients on a monitor. I've been to a number of restaurants where the ordering is done electronically; this was the best experience. The restaurant was clean with high ceilings and would be a noisy venue if there was a crowd. Each of us had a salad. You could order a pre-organized salad or you could start from scratch, building from the chosen greens and adding the "goodies." The same method is used for the stir-fried option. After the combination is chosen, your salad / stir-fried is quickly prepared for you. Honeygrow doesn't serve fountain drinks from one of the large national brands but instead provides real-sugar drinks including blueberry. A visit to Honeygrow shouldn't be missed.

Great choice for lunch on a hot day near UPenn but not necessarily fast when crowded (and man was it crowded!) Portions aren’t great. Tasty tho and a nice, easy, vegan meal!

If you're looking for a quick and easy meal by all means avoid this Honeygrow branch. For the 3rd time in a row the cooks at this place screwed up my order. It's very simple, as everything in the order is placed ahead of time. Unfortunately these cooks working there are complete morons and like most places where the cooks don't taste the food they put out, you will end up with bland, or overly spicy or missing ingredients in your order. Attention to detail is severely lacking and the food tastes like plastic.

Honeygrow is a GREAT place for noodle meals! I had the roast pork option. Ordering is via a kiosk where you can select pre-determined meals (and add or subtract what you do or don't want) or you can "build your own bowl". System is very intuitive to use. Meals are assembled hot and fresh. The basic sauce was mild and moderately thin. Not too salty or rich. Meat was tender and flavorful as were the veggies. Staff was friendly and order was served quickly. I took out but there are a few tables to eat in. Establishment is clean and smells great when you walk in. I would eat there again!

I have the pleasure of eating at their City Avenue location about once a week and am always pleased with the quality of their salads. The greens and veggies are so fresh that only a little dressing is needed. I have only had the stir fry twice, but was happy with the assemblage and taste. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and there is good value here for the finished product. The staff is friendly and efficient. The only negative comment would be the noise level, which is a bit too loud for my taste. Highly Recommended!

This new chain of a few honeygrows in the Philly area is the bomb. I wish I had one closer. We visited last weekend on an overnight stay in Philly (Saturday and Sunday for lunch) and drove back to town this past weekend for dinner (elsewhere) and stopped at honeygrow for dessert. Yummy and healthy! They have touchscreens that take your order and can remember your orders for next time. You pay right there by credit card, or by cash as you pick up your food, for there, or, to go. They serve salads and noodle bowls you can customize with all good-for-you options with local ingredients. There are MANY veg and vegan options, too. The dessert bowls are fruits of your choice, to which you can add one of three honey options, as well as home made whipped cream and a variety of topping like coconut shavings and granola. Fast food is now good for you at honeygrow.

My young adult son told me about Honeygrow after he and his friends went there. I decided to try it out with one of my friends who was in town for business. When I walked in, I was somewhat bewildered because it was not obvious how to order food. One of the people behind the counter asked their equivalent of a concierge to come over and walk us through the process. She showed us how to place our order. The system was still not entirely intuitive as we ended up inadvertently adding a few extra items on our bill. The food did not take too long to be served. I had Sesame Garlic noodles. I am more of a rice fan but decided to try noodles. The noodles were good. I like the flexibility that you have to customize your dish.

Excellent locally-grown, healthy focused menu of salads and stir-fries. Lots of vegetables on the menu in some unique combinations. Easy to use ordering platform (like ordering from a website). Quick service. Convenient to Rittenhouse Square hotels.

I always come here when I'm in Philadelphia as the food is so fresh, tasty and delicious. I have recommended this place to all of my colleagues too. I like the concept of ordering on the computer screens and for regular customers they can even save your favourites. I've never had a smoothie or salad here as I just love the stir fries so much. For a great value, tasty, healthy meal I can't recommend honeygrow highly enough :) Bon appetit!

Complete chaos. Ten people behind the counter falling all over each other. Order placed electronically but another line to pay and another line to be placed in line to pay and another line to maybe, G-d willing, get your lunch, which by that time is academic because Lunch Hour is over. All this for food that is touted to be, ya know, original and organic and healthy (people are healthy, food is healthful), etc. My taste buds said hey is 21st century salt supposed to be better than 20th century salt? If you like ordering your food on a touchscreen, stick with Wawa. The gustatory experience will be about equivalent and you'll get out the door 25 minutes faster.

My wife and I wanted something light for dinner and this place was just around the corner from where we were staying. Soups and salads - all very fresh.

I wanted to bring home a franchise! You walk in and order from computers with large touch screen monitors. We ordered the create your own stir fry choosing every ingredient we wanted. I have a gluten allergy and there was no contamination. There are gluten free choices as well as vegan. Excellent food!

Very high-tech interface for purchasing your meal. A few seats available for dine-in guests. Clearly, this is a to-go restaurant. It was filled to the gills with hungry diners dragging food back to their offices. We ate in and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. Yummy. A single stir-fry dish could really serve two people. Yum.

Stopped here for take-out noodles for dinner. You order off a computer screen and can customize recommend dishes or completely build your own noodle dish. I order spicy garlic wheat noodles with loads of veggies, pineapples, Chicken and eggs. Really hit the spot and was just the right amount of grub. Little pricy for the amount you get (Chinese take out container) but you pay more for the quality of ingredients.

Great place to eat something clean, healthy in Philly. Ordering system is quick, convenient: you have sort of ipad, where you place & pay your order. Menu selection, vast: salads, noodles, with plenty of combinations. Local clean, with big movement of customers - this means there has to be a good rotation of goods, which basically yields to fresh ingredients. Price is OK, and as it is a DIY system, there is no tip. There is the option of ordering via app to avoid queues. With a bowl of salad or noodles, an adult get enough of fuel to keep rocking!

Very friendly staff as soon as you walk in helping you to use the machines. You place your order, being able to tweak as you wish and the food is cooked fresh in front of you and ready in under 10min. We tried the rice noodles with chicken & veg in red curry sauce & cashews and egg noodles with chicken & veg in spicy garlic sauce. Really delicious healthy fast food option. Two noodle dishes ideal for dinner for 2 people for under 10$. Will be back to try the highly recommended honey pot!

This new concept, at least new to me, for a restaurant, was not only a lot of fun but also quite tasty. You can order noodles or salad combinations according to your heart's desire. I came at lunch hour and it was PACKED and took about 10 minutes to receive my order but it was really tasty and I look forward to going back.....next time maybe not at lunch hour!!

I have been to this place lots of times since they have been open. However things are starting to change and not for the good. The down sized their cups so you are now paying more than less, the food is sometimes good. The last 2 visits my food had no flavor so I have to ask that they strain the access liquid before they add my choice of seasoning. The staff is very nice and are willing to fix any problem they can, I just wish things were as good as when they first open this location.

This place has the best noodles along with healthy options. What I like is that you’re order is saved on the computer so it’s very easy to place again

Great spot if you need to grab a quick dinner on the go; all of their pre-selected menu items are great. My preference is the sesame garlic with beef, then add mushrooms and cilantro.

I love this place for salads! Very practical. You can choose the ingredients using a screen, pay for it and wait a little bit to be called.

My son and I dropped in to Honeygrow during our tour of UPenn. The busy lines suggested a great place and we were not disappointed. At the counter, computer screens allow you to order specialized salads or stir fry. The natural fountain sodas were a treat. My salad was spectacular with unique ingredients and my son loved his specially prepared stir fry. Everything is made to order so be prepared for a short wait. You can eat in, but this is an especially good place for take out.

Stopped in for lunch while attending the #DNC2016. Very different. Didn't know what to order nor how to order it. Staff was EXTREMELY patient, helpful, courteous, customer service oriented. A crew member walked around the counter and greeted me at the order point, reviewed the menu choices, helped me make selections based on my tastes and preferences, offered free samples of different sauces and dressings, and helped me process payment. Then brought the lunch items to our table. Excellent customer service. Food tasted fresh and cooked to order. Love that the staff don't have to handle cash transactions and can focus on food prep and customer service. How do I open a franchise in my neighborhood?

Was staying at Club Quarters for a couple of nights and was looking for somewhere with decent food at a reasonably cheap price nearby-this fitted the bill perfectly. Using a computer screen either choose from the standard stir frys or salads and take out or add in ingredients of your choice or start from scratch and create your own. Depending on what you put in $7-10. They also have honeypots for desert which again you create yourself choosing different honey, fruits, toppings. About $6 and really tasty. Portions were good and the staff were really friendly and helpful! We went there twice while in Philadelphia-would recommend.

Well, the 5 lb. sugars and flours are now 4 lb., the ice cream is no longer 1/2 gallon, etc. (the company thinks we didn't notice) and the portions are getting smaller at this establishment as well. That included the salad and the stir fries. The first few times I went when they first opened, I really enjoyed the freshness, as well as the quality and quantity of the food. We came on a Saturday and the place was PACKED!! Waited in line because one of the computers was down. Seemed like we ha to wait a while for the meal as well once ordered and the portions were smaller than the last time I was there. Was a bit disappointed. I think it's a bit pricey for what you get. Hopefully they will read their reviews and get back on track.

What a great concept in eating out. The decor is simple and clean looking. It's basically salads and stir fry designed by you on a computer. You pick and choice what you want in your salad and stir fry on a computer screen and then they cook it for you, they give you a number and you come to the counter and pick it up. The selections are fantastic and you get exactly what you want. They use organic local produce. The stir fry is served in a Chinese container like you get in Chinese restaurants and the salad is served in a plastic see through container. Kind of interesting concept and the food was fresh and delicious. There are tables and counter seating overlooking the street. Come early if your coming for lunch because the lines were quite long by the time we finished lunch. You'll love this place.

I've had every stir fry on the menu and a few "create your own". The ingredients are superb and you get a huge portion, whether eat in or take out. This place is a must stop if you are nearby just be prepared to stand in line for a few minutes. You won't be disappointed. It's my new favorite lunch spot!

Good fresh options. You order off a screen and choose toppings for a noodle or rice bowl or salad. Food was good although we like a little more sauce than what is provided. Restaurant is very popular and plays very loud music. My teenager liked it. Overall, a pretty neat place but better for takeout than dine in.

I had to see what all the commotion was about this restaurant. Think fast-food health food meets the Jetsons...it's a tiny place with a lot of business savvy. The food was surprisingly good, too. Pick from freshly stir-fried noodles or hand tossed salads in a hurry. I also had to try the green kale & fruit smoothie which I had heard so much about. I guess you have to have a taste for it. I loved my choices otherwise and had to hug the "facilitator" on the way out. You gotta try this, just once.

My sister took me to Honeygrow and we shared a salad. The portion was perfect. The ordering system was genius and made the line move very quickly. The options were plentiful. However, toppings can add up very quickly. We spent about $10, but did not add cheese and only added one protein. Also, there are options for dressing to be applied lightly, medium, heavily or on the side. The "light" option was perfect for us, coated but not saturated. I wish they had these outside of Pennsylvania.

This place is great. Visited here while in Philly with my daughter. This place is clean and fun. ordering is a breeze and the service was fast. My daughter had the cobb salad and I had the BBQ stir fry, both very unique and tasty!

~I work a couple blocks down from this Honeygrow, & the aroma walking by is so alluring I had to try it one day for lunch. First impressions: the modern rustic motif & fresh ingredients displayed sets the tone for a quality establishment. A young gentleman greeted me & asked if I needed assistance in ordering, & I thought that was very nice & helpful. I chose the Stir Fry option on their automated ordering screen, the Sesame Garlic appealed to my curiosity which include: snap peas, naturally raised beef, bell peppers, egg noodles, onions, carrots, scallions, & doused in the mouth-watering sesame garlic sauce. I am a big man, & I will say the portion size was perfect for lunch. Recommendations: Luckily I came in at 11:30am before the lunch rush which was out the door. The customer flow pattern could use a little revamp as I had to excuse my way through to refill on their green tea machine. The wooden stools were somewhat uncomfortable, & the foot bar needs to be raised to provide some support. The Don approves of this establishment & will be back~

I have to say, this place is amazing! Every time I travel here, it is a MUST that I eat here. I usually do the stir fry and make it different everytime I go. The "dessert" is to die for-fruit, granola, choc chips, honey drizzle, and fresh whipped cream, I mean come on-run there right now!

i really like this place for tasty noodles and interactive way to order it. menu is not wide but enough to have lunch or quick diner outside. prices are also attractive in comparison to other places

Gosh the food is so yummyyy!. I tried it for the first time with my husband a few weeks ago & now we're addicted. My favorite is the Black & Brown rice blend stir-fry with veggies, chicken, and the lemon- miso tahini sauce. So delicious and healthy. I think it's worth every penny.

Honeygrow continues to be a go to spot for lunch. It’s quick and fresh and delicious. The stir frys and salads are both great. Their predesigned dishes are delicious or make your own! If you haven’t tried Honeygrow yet, give it a shot! You’ll be hooked!

Been to Honeygrow countless times, and I am definitely addicted. I live honeygrow, I breath honeygrow, I AM honeygrow. Honeygrow is the place to go, and I can never stop eating there. I just can't put into words how much honeygrow means to me. I'm so thankful for honeygrow's existence. Thank you everyone. Go get honeygrow!

This was my very first time eating at Honeygrow. I live out of state and this is a restaurant we don't have so I wanted to try it out. I ordered it online & picked up at the counter, both of which were super easy. My entree was just "fine", not great, but maybe I didn't order the right thing? What I ordered: Egg white noodles- tasty Roasted chicken- good, tiny pcs Green beans- fresh tasting Scallions- good Toasted sesame seeds- Didn't get Peppers- only 3 pcs, green/no red Parsley- very fresh Butter garlic sauce- ok tasting This entree tasted okay until I got to the bottom half of the to go container. There was a TON of the sauce in the bottom and everything left was just saturated in it so it no longer tasted good. I was pretty bummed that the toasted sesame seeds were left off as thats the taste I really wanted, plus it would have made it taste better. I also ordered the Apple Pie Honeybar with a cheesecake base. I have a insatiable sweet tooth and this was waaayyyy too sweet for me, like sickening sweet. I could not eat more than two bites before throwing it away. Let me break it down for you... *Cheesecake base- very sweet *Wildflower honey- very sweet *Roasted apples- spot on 👍 *Streusel crumble- BIG Solid flour & sugar chunks, very sweet *Whipped cream- very sweet *Candied Pecans- These were the worst I've eaten and I ADORE any type of sugar coated nuts. There was so much hard thick sugar glaze on the pecans that that's all you tasted! You wouldn't want to eat this by itself, much less piled into a bowl with other sweet items... I don't plan to eat here again, but if you're thinking of going here for the first time, I'd say give it a try for yourself but maybe order something different than what I did. There are a lot of comments about hardly getting any protein and that was definitely the case with mine- VERY stingy amount given & the pieces were teeny tiny, so not worth what I paid! My $11 CYO noodle bowl was a 5 out of 10 and the $8 Honeybar was a 1 out of 10. Disappointing lunch, but I love to try out places I've never been, so no regrets!

We went here for lunch on a Saturday and it was packed. We ordered from the machines and our food was ready quickly. We ordered cobb salad and a beef noodle stir fry. The cost was $20 for the two meals, which is really steep for what you get. The salad was fine, but the beef ginger stir fry was really bland and the amount of beef was pretty skimpy. I realize it is supposed to be healthy and all of that, but it was really bland. Also, I would recommend that you plan to pick your food up here and eat elsewhere as the seating here is really limited and the place is pretty packed.

Had to run in and split an order with my husband as a snack. So tasty and great blend of flavors and textures.

This restaurant is great. If I lived here, I would have lunch here everyday. You place your order with a touch screen. It lists all your options. User friendly and easy to use. I loved that I was able to get my sauce on the side. Stir fry, salads... all yummy options. It was reasonable priced and enough to take with you and enjoy seconds. Did I mention that it's yummy...a happy healthy!

Are at this place for the first time. The food was nice and a good portion. My first time there the system was different, no tills, I couldn't work out where the queue was but noticed 4 tablets where you go to order your food. Once ordered, you wait till they shout your name for your order. The machine didn't give a receipt in case your order was incorrect, but so far they got out right. Nice place to try out though it can get very busy and the queue goes out the door!

I really wanted to like this place. I got the “create your own stir fry.” I love the concept, but there wasn't much flavor there. All I could taste was the rice noodles. Which is not a good thing, considering it was $11. I don't understand all the hype, the line for lunch was out the door. Maybe the salads are better??

I've been to three of the locations. The design-it-yourself stir-fry computer terminals are cool. The options are fine. I've preferred the Asian sauces (the sour cherry BBQ was relatively tasteless). The honey beverage options is odd and never interested me. I like this place, but there are really no side dishes and the portions are designed for someone much smaller than I am so it's more of a very light lunch or snack than a full meal.

Great spot for a quick casual meal. The food and the staff are great. No issue recommending a meal here.

Best and most economical stir fry in Philadelphia. $7.75 gets you a starch (wheat or egg noodles, rice), 3 veggies (includes bean sprouts, edamame, etc), 2 toppings (like cashews, sunflower seeds) and sauce of your choosing. They have other selections already built they you can order but I love creating my own. All freshly prepared with local ingredients. While I have yet to try their salads or honey bar smoothies... They look delish. But I'm always craving the stir-fry and it's very filing. Tip: if going for lunch, go early. I recommend arriving before noon to order. It's so busy after and it can take longer than you have time for. But the staff knows their popularity and are very accommodating and friendly.

Fast service! Yummy food! Gluten free options! Can't wait to go back here again! My son loved the black cherry soda!

Wasn't my favorite place in the area. Had a salad one night and noodles the next. Found the meats to be somewhat chewy. A bit pricey.

Ordered an Uber Eats order so when it arrived we were a little worried about the tiny bag. 2 custom stir fry and 2 custom honey desserts fit in a tiny bag (drinks are separate of course). BUT it was amazing and we are stuffed. The garlic sauce is so good. The veggies fresh. The fruits are so fresh and juicy. Definitely hit the spot and not disappointed at all.

It was late until we had time to eat, and this was rated well and close to the hotel. The order process was easy, with many options, and it was all made fresh. Only complaint is they had slightly burnt something that permiated through the entire meal (may have been the grille not being totally cleaned)

We were visiting from out of state and had never been to a honeygrow restaurant. Lorenzo at the City Center location greeted us at the door with menus, then walked us thoroughly through the whole ordering process. He was so helpful and enthusiastic! Our food was plentiful and delicious. Too bad we don’t live here!

I will admit I was not looking forward to going here. My daughter suggested we go for dinner and I wasn't sure what to expect. The food was great! Fresh and made to order. Lots of choices, beef, chicken, tofu. Something for everyone. Everything was served up hot in chinese take-out boxes. My only complaint was that it took a long time to get our food. As one other reviewer stated "complete chaos." The place was completely swamped at the time. Once everything calmed down the food came out quickly. Overall a great meal.

This was soooo good! I had the sesame garlic stir fry and honey! It was fantastic! It was a bit spicier than expected, but I didn't care because the taste was so good. Luckily I've a friend that works there and will definitely be hitting her up when I want some food from there =0)

We were staying around the corner at Hotel Palomar and needed a quick bite for dinner. Stumbled across honey grow for takeout...and happy we did. The stir fry is tremendous...healthy and fast. Plus the vibe in the place is cool...you order & pay on touchscreens. Staff was nice and efficient. Would eat here twice a week if I lived nearby. This could be the next Chipotle.

Our family - six adults ate here on a Friday night. Computer ordering allows one to customize your food. Food was very tasty and very reasonably priced.

We took the girls here after a field hockey clinic at Saint Joes and every single one of them enjoyed it. Being a salad kind of person I enjoyed it also. We all loved the choose your ingredient ability.
So so good!
We stumbled upon this place, being drawn in from the wonderful smells along the sidewalk. We were not disappointed. Everything is made to order and so fresh! My husband had the pork stir fry and said it was great. (He liked it so much that I didn’t get a taste) I put together my own stir fry and loved every bite. Can’t wait to go back to Philly and try something different next time!
