Had a dinner and breakfast here. Dinner was after a long and unhappy check in experience at the Marriott, so we were just looking for a good meal. The dinner menu was very limited (I hate covid!) and finding food my wife can eat wasn't easy. Initially, things weren't great. The fish she ordered just wasn't good (very rare, when my wife likes her fish opaque). Lily, Food and Beverage Manager happened by to ask how things were, and quickly determined that it wasn't working for my wife; Lily took the initiative to fix things, did all she could to get the fish cooked more thoroughly, and when that wasn't getting better, came up with a perfectly prepared chicken breast and vegetables that wasn't on the menu but was delicious. They had brought us out a fruit tart rather than chocolate cake, which Lily identified and fixed before we'd even known. Fortunately, she left the fruit tart, which was one of the best tarts we've ever eaten. We'd highly recommend it. Lily and the Andrea, the bartender were efficient, helpful, and outstanding at their jobs. They saved what could have been a really terrible experience. I usually avoid hotel restaurants, but I'd definitely come here again!

We sat at the bar, just wanted drinks. The bartender had no clue what he was doing... kept running his hands thru his hair and picking up garnish with his unclean hands!!! Disgusting!!!! You could tell he had no idea how to make drinks AND was trying to pass off the drinks on the menu as HIS creations! Total moron! Also do NOT order a bloody mary!!!! Its vodka with cocktail sauce! Disgusting!! We left and went to the other bar in the lobby! Much better experience.

Average service. Limited food options for an afternoon snack. Nice to have right there in the hotel.

Had dinner here three times. Although it's a pleasant place and it has an open kitchen, there were not so many customers around. Service is fine and effective. The food is fine but they could put less salt on the french fries. The fish, mussels, crab cakes were fresh and tasty.

We popped in today for lunch. The restaurant was practically empty. We were seated right away and water was provided. But then we waited. And waited. And waited. The staff was all in the back and we could hear the chatting and enjoying multiple broken glasses and dish ware. No one came to even take our drink orders. After 20 minutes, with our water glasses empty we went across the street and had an amazing meal served right away. We were horribly disappointed. When you stay at a nice hotel like the Marriot, you should be able to lunch!

Enjoyed our time at the bar. We also ordered food that was good. Prices were above average but you are paying for the convenience and location

We were staying in the hotel and had breakfast both mornings. There is an extensive menu ranging from the usual buffet selection to individually priced items and a couple of packages. I chose the latter comprising cereal, coffee, juice, fruit and toast while my wife had traditional eggs benedict with Canadian bacon. We enjoyed these so much, the next day I had eggs benedict made with smoked salmon while my wife chose the cereal option. I am not sure which of the eggs benedict we preferred but both were delicious. On both occasions the staff were very friendly and efficient.

We stayed at the Marriott water front and the hook and Plow is the resident restaurant. The breakfast buffet is excellent, the fresh omelette station made great made to order omelettes. The pancakes and waffles are fluffy and served with fresh fruit and a sweet butter, delicious. We also had lunch, excellent fish and chips, and pepperoni flat bread pizza. Staff are pleasant.

Nice little restaurant at the Marriott. Service, Food, Drinks all good. Would definitely return if we ever come back to the area

We were staying at the Seattle Waterfront Marriott and this was the restaurant inside the hotel. Normally, we eat at the local restaurants instead of eating at the hotel but we first experienced this place when we ordered room service. Since we had a waterfront hotel room, we thought we'd just eat in the room. What a nice surprise. Both of us had the salmon which came with grilled asparagus, a salad and fingerling potatoes. We split a cup of chowder and it was excellent. Since this meal was so good, we tried breakfast in the restaurant the next day. Another hit! The fresh fruit was varied and superbly fresh. The blackberries and blueberries were huge and some of the tastiest i've had. They make their granola in house so again, it is unusually good. The breakfast offerings were much better than I've had at similarly nice hotels and the service was exceptional. Kudos to our server, Jackson..

I've ate here for a late lunch during a slow time and was not impressed with the service or the food. My meal was not prepared properly and my server was non existent most of the time. I think you find better food with similar views along the boardwalk. Keep going past this one.

The staff at Hook & Plow did an amazing job accommodating my allergens by allowing me to custom order my breakfast. The regular items purchased by my family were all tasty too.

We ate lunch here because we were staying in the hotel and I was expecting more but it was just okay nothing special but it’s a nice restaurant...

Friendly staff, an extensive breakfast buffet where you can get anything outside of Eggs Benedict, and a view of the water gives your day a great start.

We started with the Firecracker Calamari and Shrimp and it was excellent. My husband had the Halibut which had mushrooms, onions, and peas and it was very good. I had a bowl of the clam chowder and it was excellent. Service was very good. There are many wonderful restaurants in Seattle, but we were staying at this hotel, we just arrived and were too tired to go out. Glad we were not disappointed.

You can tell they care for what they prepare. Everything was fresh. We had a Late lunch as well as dinner the day we arrived. Food was excellent. We also did the breakfast buffet, excellent omelet as well as plenty of fresh fruit.

We enjoyed a lovely evening on the patio with a glass of wine and a delicious salmon dinner. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about both the food and wine. We also enjoyed a fantastic breakfast of Dungeness Crab Eggs Benedict.

We were staying at the Marriott Waterfront and this restaurant is adjacent to the hotel. The restaurant has a great patio with good specials, good food and good service.

I only had the $24 buffet breakfast, mainly because as in all hotel breakfasts, ordered ala carte ends up costing as much. Had a pretty good omelette- a bit watery. Bacon and breakfast potatoes were good and the pastries were delicious. Nothing out of the ordinary but perfectly acceptable if you don't want to go out in Seattle's rain in search of a breakfast place. All in with tax and tip- $30 for breakfast. I paid that much for last night's sushi dinner.

On our last day we decided to use the hotel restaurant. After a 15-20 mins wait we were seated so we thought it must be good....wrong.....service was ok, nothing special.....but the coffee was so weak we thought we were drinking hot water. We both ordered Eggs Benedict.....not the best.....and for $27 (or so) I expected to see a little more ok, a lot more food on my plate. It was a very small child's portion. We had to go find a Starbucks and eat again before going to the airport. Would I eat here again - NO

We were going to go to another restaurant, but it was $28 each way by Uber. So decided to eat right in the hotel, so glad we did! My husband had the Seafood Cioppino and I had the Salmon. They were both awesome, the salmon was sautéed in butter and had the perfect crunch and the couscous with veg garnish was very tasty. The shrimp and clams were done perfectly. There was also calamari and scallops. The price was very reasonable and since we didn't have the added transportation cost it made it all the enjoyable. Service was very good as well!

Hook & Plow is located in the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. We ate breakfast there and it was very good: The food quality was high, and service was prompt and friendly. And for a hotel restaurant, prices were moderate.

We looked at the reviews of this restaurant and overall it was positive so we booked. We were treated nicely and shown to our table. Our waiter was Ben and he was good and what happened was no fault of his. My salad was the beer and fennel and it was good. The other entrees were so salty they were nearly not edible! The halibut, the steak, the lamb, the crab cakes and the veggies were so over seasoned with salt it was ridiculous! The burger was the only item not salty. Oh the deserts were good by the way that is why I did not give this establishment a terrible rating! They discounted our meals which was gracious but they need to inform their chef to go easy on the salt!

Hook and Plow is a beautiful restaurant with a small but tasty menu in the hotel. The Rock Fish Tacos and Clam Chowder were great. Happy hour is from 4-7 and well worth the walk to the restaurant to avoid hotel bar prices (the hotel bar does not offer happy hour).

Excellent breakfast buffet with cooked to order eggs and omelettes, as well as Pike's Market fruit and all the goodies, but the menu is terrific as well. We had the dungeness crab benedict, and it was perfect!

We were only there for breakfast (included with hotel stay). The omelet and french toeast were pretty good. There were a lot of fresh berries. Muffins and small pastries were delicious.

Really appreciated the friendly and attentive service. Food was great..some in our group had the buffet and others ordered from the menu. The oatmeal was great as was the fresh fruit. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and while i didnt have the french toast another at a nearby table did and it looked scrumptious.

We had lunch in the restaurant - we were the only people in there - very disappointing feel about the place. The burger was ok - nothing special - the clam chowder was tasty, with too much bacon. Would probably not return for lunch!

long day of touring, it was nice to find this great restaurant in our hotel. Our server was charming and the air-conditioning was a welcome treat.

We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet here for two days on a recent visit....Hank who is a true Major Domo is the epitome of good service and it was great getting to know him. Everything was delicious including the five kinds of fresh berries, unbelievable! What impressed us is that the man who was cooking at the grill remembered in detail my order from the previous day....best French toast on earth!

Good food good service, but one complaint: The menu lists another dish as "firecracker", so the absence of that word led me to believe that the tacos would not be extraordinarily spicy. Wrong!

Safe but uninteresting, average food. With so many better options would recommend trying elsewhere.Outside seating right next to road and pedestrian traffic.

The serve yourself breakfast buffet is more than sufficient. Food very tasty and of great quality. Staff very nice.

Ate 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 late arrival dinner and all were good quality. Prices a little high, but this is downtown convention and tourist area. Was hugely disappointed that raw oysters were not available anywhere in the hotel. Good selection of local IPA beers.

We had never been there before and really enjoyed it. The steak was cooked perfectly. We had very good service, even when a mistake was made on the bill, the manager compted a glass of wine.

We had the omelets and they were very good. There were a lot of sugar ants on out table and the waiter comped our breakfast, even after I told him that wasn’t necessary. That was very nice.

Just had salads in this hotel restaurant. Nothing to write home about. Average food average price. Just average.

Great breakfast. Full buffet with omelets, French toast, waffles. Great service from servers. Tea selections are outstanding

Attached to the Marriot, this is a high end restaurant. We had excellent service. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have experienced. Great omelets and French toast made on the spot. I had the Dungeness crab benedict and it was amazing. Ordered it twice and wish I could have it today. The service was the best!

Stayed at the Marriott Waterfront Seattle for three nights. Dined at Hook & Plow two nights for dinner and two breakfasts. First of all the manager JR is "great" must be the "midwest" upbringing :-)! Seriously he was top notch along with our server Kyle. We had two excellent meals. Shrimp sautéed with lemon butter, excellent along with the halibut. The salads were very good and the chowder was top of the line. We discovered that the restaurant won an award for their chowder recently. They were in competition with several other local restaurants that serve chowder. The desserts were fabulous, we had creme' brûlée & the following evening tiramisu both were out of this world. The breakfast we had was a buffet which was very good. A very nice selection of foods to choose from. You can also order off the menu if you didn't want the buffet. We so highly recommend this restaurant. Nice, clean, quiet & the staff is great and the food is exceptional. Whether staying at the Marriott or in the area it is so worth the trip down to the water, Alaskan Way, to dine at the Hook & Plow Restaurant. Nice wine list and full bar also.

Inside hotel Marriott Waterfront. NE Clam chowder has bacon and is pretty tasty. Breakfast was also really delicious with friendly staff.

Didn't eat dinner here but probably should have tried it. Had breakfast and drinks one day and they were both great!

My husband and I ate at this restaurant while staying at the hotel. We really enjoyed it and found the service to be very good and cheerful. I enjoyed rack of lamb which was cooked oerfectly and was presented with a lovely side salad. It was a bit expensive but well worth it. Perfect place to have a casual dinner after a long day of gravel or anytime. Well done Marriott.

Nice selection of local beers, service was very fast. Seated very quickly and waiter kept checking on us. Food was good and we would go back again.

The Hook & Plow in the Marriott Waterfront Hotel for lunch was tasty and reasonably priced. Leisurely staff and dining. The Caesar salad and anchovies were delicious! Good size portions. Minutes from the pier and a nice walk in the fresh air, lots of sunshine!

the breakfast here was great - at least the healthy start that I had with lots of fresh fruit and baked goods.

It was a cold and rainy night, and I need a good steak; I got one. My companions had salmon with a nice chardonnay. The dessert choices were appropriately decadent.

As a Lifetime Titanium member we were given complimentary breakfast voucher as the M Club lounge was not set up to offer breakfast. The eggs benny were amazing and the deep-fried potatoes were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. If you stay here, be sure to try the eggs benny.

You would think that a restaurant joined to a hotel would be running on all out to satisfy there customers. However I found this place very disconnected from the time we came in to the time we left. We had to find someone to bring us into the restaurant we walked in and walked around before someone ask could they help. We actually thought the place was closed. We quickly ordered an appetizer because we were hungry and wanted to get something on the table quickly. One the appetizer came out we had to send it back because it was so salty. We even had the waiter try it and he agreed it was terrible. I am no chef but I do know my way around a kitchen and who ever was in the kitchen shouldn’t be while sitting there we watched other people send there food back. Although we are staying at the hotel we will not be eating here again.

Understaffed and Very slow greet and seat. Small portions that were average at best. I would not eat there again.

We ate at the Hook and Plough after arriving a little late for a professional conference. The service was exceptional, one of the staff walked us out to see the elevator which leads up to Pike Place Market.

Hotel restaurant not really up to Marriott standards. It's been as it is for many many years and in need of a real makeover. Located off the lobby it does have a nice outdoor sitting area in nice weather does not make up for the food. Food is ok, again it's a stale menu both in food and one list.

First off they need help with the staff. The staff are friendly enough but it seems they need training and guidance. It was chaos when we ate dinner there and chaos for the weekend breakfast buffet. When we walked in on a Saturday night, it was horribly noisy. We asked for their quietest available table and were seated in their long hallway from the hotel. Odd. It was more quiet than the restaurant but we felt exactly like we were sitting in the middle of a hallway. On a scale of 1 to 10, we rate the pork belly appetizer, the chowder and the pear tart a 9. Mixed green salad was boring but tart. My husband liked the buttermilk chicken. I thought it was weird, but in all fairness I only had the last little bite. The miso cod was a disaster but it has potential. The one bite of cod that actually had the miso sauce on it was absolutely delicious. But, seriously, how could "miso" cod have one bite of sauce? It was placed on a mess of fried noodle. This is a signature dish at several famous Japanese restaurants so serve the cod with the nice miso sauce you have, a vegetable and some rice and you'll have a lovely entree.

Yummy hamburgers. You can get your hamburgers with fries or a salad. It was not busy at 7pm on a Sunday night. Thank you from Rita Bennett and Steve Nordstrom from Westminster Colorado

The plates came quite full with more than ample quantities. Our server recommended if we would like smaller portions they were available upon request. The food was very good. The menu had a great variety as did the buffet.

The breakfast menu had plenty of choices in addition to the breakfast buffet. Husband had lunch there while I was in meetings and enjoyed it as well.

The taste was good enough, but $18 dollars for oatmeal and toast? It was really good oatmeal, though. At dinner, the Stone Flatbread Pizza was good and so were the crabcakes. The Meat and Cheese Board was just OK.

Marriott's consierge wasn't able to find a restaurant that could accommodate a Saturday night party of nine within a half hour or so. We decided to just go to the hotel restaurant and sit outside. Fortunately a party of 10 didn't show up so they had the table already set up for us. The patio was about half full when we arrived shortly after 7pm. Our drinks arrived pretty timely but the Dr. Pepper and Coke/Pepsi got switched. No big deal. We ordered a variety of appetizers. An hour later, a couple who was there before us asked to cancel their order and just pay for appetizers since they had waited so long. Long story short... we finally got food nearly an hour and a half later. Apparently, there is a "side" mac and cheese as well as a "child" mac and cheese. They got those mixed up. My clam chowder was more of a bacon/ham chowder than anything else and it was luke warm. The crab cakes were unimpressive. I think we waiting about another half hour to get the bill. In retrospec, we would have been better off taking a cab across the city. It would have been faster. I would have to agree with Lorraine H. and not recommend this restaurant with so many others in the area.

We ate here since staying at the Marriott and the food was very good and The vegetarian dish was good too as well as the dessert was fabulous. Wine list and service was good as well

Stylist restaurant within the Marriott Waterfront. good for breakfast as well as dinner. great service.

The menu offered a nice range of options, the meals we ordered were very good, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable.

Went there for lunch on a weekend, service was great and the food very fresh and flavorful. The clam chowder had a little Smokey flavor which was excellent and the fish and chips were very lightly breaded and tasty, will go back next time on the waterfront.

My husband and I stopped in for an afternoon beer while out sight seeing. The bartender was fantastic and treated us like royalty even though we were just having a drink. We sat on the patio and watched the water and people. It was a very enjoyable experience. It was also reasonably priced.

Too tired to find a restaurant, we decided to eat in. The Mariott generally has really good food in their restaurants. Seattle was no different. We ate at the Hook and Plow. The menu is limited but the food was very reasonable and good. If you want to eat in, you will be happy with this restaurant. Not a destination restaurant in Seattle, but if you are staying at the hotel and don't want to explore elsewhere, you can't go wrong with the Hook and Plow. Don't recommend the calamari. Very greasy. But the individual pizzas (called flatbreads) were really good. Request goat cheese on the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni pizza. It really makes the taste pop. Even better, ask to limit the pepperoni. Our group really liked the potato skins.

The food here was good and full of flavor. A good variety of options in the menu. What we enjoyed most were the craft cocktails. It was a bit slow while we were there so we have the bartender (mixologist) to ourselves and he made several unique cocktails for us.

The breakfast buffet is truly wonderful. The servers are friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. Lots of nice, fresh fruit to choose from, which is unusual for a hotel breakfast buffet.

I always plan at least one dinner at this restaurant attached to the Marriott downtown. The salmon is outstanding - have yet to be disappointed in 5 visits. The atmosphere is casual like most Marriott restaurants - price is mis to upper scale. Service is great. Sitting at the bar and eating while watching sports is fine - but it's not a sports bar so much as finer dining. Highly recommend.

Well worth the price. The food is excellent an they can't do enough to help. Lovely touches like dairy and gluten free options and a to go cup for you to take your coffee with you when you finish.

This restaurant is associated with the Marriott hotel. We had the buffet breakfast here 3 days in a row and it was great each time. Very large selection of food including grilled items (pancakes, waffled, omelets), bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruits, bread, rolls, cereal, oatmeal, etc. We did have vouchers with our hotel stay so I am not sure of the price if you just walked in. We also took a drink from the bar and sat in the outdoor patio area one afternoon and enjoyed the bay view. Staff were friendly, food was fresh and hot (or cold) and place was clean.

Found this place on restaurant.com and had a coupon for $15 of $30. Read decent reviews and gave it a try. My daughter ordered the Cesar salad with grilled chicken. She said it was fine. I ordered the Mixed Grill for just over $20. It consisted of two slices of bacon, two chicken sausages (breakfast sausage sized), a lamb chop, and a little strip steak. Being a mixed grill with smaller portions of meat, I order medium rare knowing it would probably come out more medium. The bacon and steak were average. The chicken sausage was good. The lamb chop was fantastic. For just the chop, potatoes and vegetables, $21 was a bargain. For the quality and location, I would have expected to pay $45 for that dish. I highly recommend a visit to Hook & Plow.

When I got to the resturant it was empty with 2 other tables being used. That should have been a clue. We went for dinner on a Friday nite at 7:30 pm. Ordered crab tortelini with a poached egg on top. It came like a lasgna and the food wasn't even hot luke warm at best. Service was great. Don't think I will go back.

Delicious, fresh food, great service. Located in the Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Great selections for breakfst, lunch, and dinner.

This is a great spot to have dinner when you do not feel like venturing far from your hotel. Food was very good as was the service. It was quiet and I was able to work through dinner. They had an excellent gluten free chocolate cake... One of the best I have ever had at a restaurant.

Had breakfast here two mornings in the row and both the food and service was excellent. Jackson, our server for the first day, was awesome.. warm, engaging, and super attentive. Everything you would want from a waiter. When they can add to the experience, it is pretty special and kind of rare. I had the breakfast buffet the first morning which was delicious with a lot of offerings and then had the dungeness crab eggs benedict the second morning. You can beat getting seafood in Seattle. My wife had the All American both mornings and she found it very satisfying. Not cheap but, you'll get a terrific meal.

Stayed at the Marriott Waterfront and came here for Breakfast. Ordered the All American Breakfast...two eggs, choice of bacon, sausage, etc, potatoes and choice of bread. I had mine with grapefruit juice. The meal was delicious and served in a timely manner. I think what I enjoyed the most was the friendly service. Otis was our waiter and he was so welcoming, brought me extra juice, always smiling and upbeat.....Kudos to him. There was a buffet available but we selected to order off the menu. Looked like there was a nice selection at the buffet. Restaurant is located right on Alaska Way across from the bay.

The food here at Hook & Plow located inside the Marriott Waterfront was wonderful. The food and the service were very good. Very nice atmosphere...you can even sit outside ona nice day!

Very Cordial Staff Room is Very Distant from the lobby Tasty menu focused on nicely deep-fried everything crab cakes average calimari tasty shrimp taco average well poured beverage awesome french fries terrible potato skins all of it was just what we needed after a tough ground day

This restaurant is located in the Seattle Marriott Waterfront Hotel. I arrived in Seattle on Saturday and had a hard time finding a decent restaurant that wasnt packed on Saturday night. Apparently most people are like me, why eat at a hotel when you can eat at a place that only serves food. Well this restaurant was a surprise in how good the food was and the service was good. The beer, fish and service were great. Highly recommend the Waterfront restaurant. The view is great too!

We stayed at the Marriott Waterfront and this restaurant is located inside. We went for. Breakfast on Saturday morning and it was extremely busy. Only waited about 15mins. They have a breakfast buffet or you can order from the menu. French toast was GREAT!! It was worth the short wait. A lil pricy for breakfast but can't complain. The food was good!!!!!

While our family enjoyed the waterfront atmosphere here, and there is a kids' menu available, we found Hook & Plow to be somewhat overpriced, and not a great family place. The food was good, but not commensurate with the price; for example, the mixture of soft textures in the chop salad - garbanzo beans, soft salmon, and parmesan with dressing - could have been improved with some variety. Also, the kids' mac 'n cheese clearly came out of a box labeled "Kraft." Nice specialty cocktails, but not a place I plan to return to.

This restaurant is expensive. It has a nice menu but a little high for us. We did have Breakfast as we were going to the airport. $30.00 a person plus tax and tip!!! I must say it was a great breakfast with anything you would want and of a high quality. Problem is, how much can you eat???

Good for breakfast, although the coffee is pretty horrible. Service can be slow. If you're staying at the Marriott Waterfront, this is your only option on property.

So while staying the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, I has three occasions to eat at the Hook & Plow. First was with clients during HH, drinks and food were discounted of course and the hard salami app and flat bread pizza was really good, beyond the standard you might expect for happy hour. The service was good, could be a little better. The view from most anywhere in the restaurant or bar is of the water, so that is nice. The breakfast buffet set up was nice but I went with the dungeness crab benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and there was a lot of crab on each muffin. The only down side was the muffin was very soggy to the point I pushed it aside. The dinner apps of Tuna (albacore) and dugeness crab cakes were among some of the best meals apps I had while in Seattle. I would eat here again, especially for happy hour.

We had a delicious breakfast with a waterview. John H. was a fabulous waiter! So personable and attentive. Pretty restaurant with great food.

Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Nice food. Good service. Wine list was not bad/not great. Just slightly overpriced for the value.

We had a group of three and did not have to wait for a seat at 11:30 am on a Sunday. Service was divine. Great Breakfast!!! Two of us got the buffet, the other ordered the Eggs Benedict with the Salmon. The Salmon Eggs Bennie was a first for me and it was outstanding in flavor flav! The Salmon on the buffet was YUM! Their sausage is exceptional!!!!! Where do they get that sausage!!!!! Mimosa's were FAB!

Very nice and caring wait staff. Willing to modify dishes for special diets. Easy to get a reservation. Right in the Marriott Waterfront hotel. The lamb chops (New Zealand lamb) were fabulous. The Bouliabaise (fish stew) was pretty good - maybe a bit too spicy. Everything else that we had was average or below.

After a disappointing check in at the Marriott, we decided to dine at the hotel restaurant mainly due to the cold and rainyy weather. As it turned out, we had a satsfying meal where we both selected salmon (of course). The fish was perfectly cooked and I had a side of asparagus that was very tasty. The restaurant manager stopped by and we chatted about our disappointing Marriott upgrade. We later received a nice comp in the form of a truly fine chocolate cake dessert. I would eat here again.

My wife and I had breakfast at the Hook and Plow. We did not choose the overpriced buffet, but instead ordered a la carte. The food was standard Marriott food. Nothing special.

They serve a great breakfast. It is roomy and the food was great. They had it well stocked. The servers were very attentive and helpful.

My sister and I went here for dinner being at our hotel. We had 830 reservations and walked in to one other table full in whole place. We ordered Cesar salad Halibut and the mushroom arugula flatbread and one other app I forgot what it was called to split. Very nice the kitchen split our salad for us excellent Cesar. The halibut came with small potatoes and a great sauce. Mai Tai and Prosecco great. Server was very polite and kind.

Enjoyed a business dinner in a private room of the restaurant. Food was praised by all, and I particularly appreciated the fisherman's stew. It had a good variety of fresh seafood and just the right amount of spicy kick! Service was excellent.

Dinner was very good, service was also very good. Breakfast buffet was expensive but good food. Once again service was good.

Platinum Elite members and ate breakfast here because the lounge was not serving breakfast. Bummer. Excellent buffet with eggs cooked to order and a good helping of smoked salmon. The pastries seem to stand out aghast the regular hotel fare as well. What really sets this place apart is the breakfast menu. Crab Benedict and the steak and eggs? Woowhee, now we are talking!

Good food, a little pricey, I thought. nice view of the Harbor and Pier 66. They have a nice out door area to eat and drink also.

We arrived here a little grumpy and hungry, and were greeted warmly and had great service. They had a good happy hour with awesome beer and delicious food. We sat on the patio and watched the sunset. We left very happy!

Service and food was excellent for breakfast and the potatoes were exceptional! We never had dinner there because the restaurant looked kind of empty during the key dining hour so we decided to go elsewhere.

Checked in late so the hotel restaurant seemed like a reasonable choice. It was very disappointing. Ordered crab cakes - tasty enough but miniscule - especially for the price. Two roughly quarter-sized crab cakes for $18. A light dinner for two - fish and chips (two small pieces of halibut and fries), a caesar salad and a couple beers for $80. We should have gone for a short walk.

For breakfast there is a buffet for $29 or you can order from the menu. I enjoyed the french toast with maple pecan butter.

While staying at the Marriott waterfront waiting for friends we jumped in for a quick bite. The restaurant itself was very clean and fairly empty. No one came so we had to walk up to one of the cooks and ask if they were still open. We sat down and ordered a cup of clam chowder and firecracker seafood. It also gave me what be my last opportunity to have another Mac and Jacks African Amber ale..yay! The food was good and waiter Mike was on point after the initial hunt to get seated. I imagine in the summer this place gets going.

Very nice environment, food was good but might be a bit below par for true foodies. Service was great!

Upon arriving in Seattle early we stared with bloody marys(always a good start to vacation!) and then s had the salmon benedict and the crab benedict YUM!

I went for lunch over the weekend with my son, and we decided to try the restaurant in the hotel. The selection of food is small, but the food that we tried was actually quite nice. They have a bar connected to the hotel, and they have a few beers on tap which was a bonus (Man and Jack African Amber was nice).

Good choice for breakfast - classic homemade beef hash with potatoes and egg - awesome! Comparable to the 5 Spot restaurant at Queen Anne district, or even better!

We had breakfast, dinner and happy hour at this waterfront restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious and they make a wonderful bloody Mary! Be sure and try the clam chowder also. Being able to sit outside for dining and Happy Hour was a plus also. We opted to order off the menu for breakfast as we thought the buffet was a bit pricey.

Thought the food was good overall. I had fish and chip made from halibut. Good and priced reasonably. Couple of seafood restaurants nearby may be a try.

No need to venture out to other restaurants. This is great as we we'er already tired from traveling. They had a fair variety for Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. The portions were quite large. We had great tables near a window where we could watch people walking the waterfront area & watch the Norwegian cruise line ships and Bay Ferries. Service was superb & courteous.

The food was very good, but pricey. Not pricey enough to keep us away...we went three times on the trip. Friendly, prompt staff, varied menu. I would go back to the Hook and Plow

There is plenty of great food nearby but I decided to give the hotel restaurant a try. I was not disappointed. After having some seafood for several days in a row I went with their Angus Burger. It was excellent

I had an excellent cup of clam chowder and a glass of Washington State wine. It was served with warm bread and butter. Good service on the outdoor patio. I usually don't eat at the Marriott restaurant, this was surprisingly good. The breakfast buffet looked inviting as well.

Eating the breakfast buffet at the Marriott hotel was a pleasure. The staff was very attentive (especially to my young sons) and very conversational and friendly. The food was great and there was a huge variety on the buffet. It was the perfect way to start a busy day of sightseeing in Seattle. (Our breakfast was free as part of the room rate, so I can't speak to the pricing).

amazing breakfast with mimosas here! The service was excellent. Ask to sit near a window if you would like to people watch. Right outside the restaurant is a glass elevator which takes you up to a more convenient elevation to get to Pikes Market (right behind hotel). It's well lighted when it's dark. You will have to walk up a hill once you get off the elevator however to get to Pikes at that street level. I would definitely eat here again. The bar is great too. They have a happy hour. Pumpkin Beer was fabulous! The service was excellent. The manager ensured everyone was satisfied.

This was a fabulous restaurant inside the Marriott across from the waterfront. My salmon was delicious and the staff was great

A daring claim but after sampling many of Seattle's "go to" spots for seafood and chowder, the Hook & Plow knocked it out of the park! Flavorful, creamy with multiple textures and best of all....prepared fresh. I'm coming back for more! Service was excellent, attentive with engaging conversation about the local cuisine, ingredients and suggestions. Nice wine list and creative cocktails. Joe Bob says.....Check it out!!!

We ordered loaded potato skins as an appetizer and they were delivered with our meal, which was disappointing. Our server took them off our ticket after I complained. All of our sandwiches arrived with the bread burnt and so hard it was barely edible.

But the service crew is excellent, fast and the breakfast potatoes (believe it or not) are amazing! Very strong coffee too if you need it!

the service was excellent and the food was delicious and fresh. Quite a few selections to choose from.

Genevieve was our server and she provided great service for a very well prepared buffet. I had the smoked salmon omelet, my husband ordered the vegetarian omelet with cheese and they were done to perfection. We really enjoyed the waffles with syrup, fresh berries and pecan butter. We shared that. This was a really good breakfast. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The coffee just right for me.

Open for breakfast. Short staffed, maybe seattle is still handing out checks for staying unemployed? Well this isn’t a political web page so I’m off that, but a wonderful employ who was really in events and then transitioned to service (and later was helping at the front desk) suggested not everyone returned after the 1 1/2 year shut down (we didn’t have that out east since we opened up last summer with masks..). Oh sorry about the food! Excellent coffee. Good food. Breakfast was all that wa a available. We had egg dishes. Little too think of a slab of Canadian bacon for the eggs Benedict … more like a slice of ham. Great sauce and perfect eggs. Yummy bacon! Potatoes Overcooked. Bummer, good seasoning, muffin under cooked, I think just over worked or under staffed kitchen. I’d I mention how amazing the staff were? Heading back tomorrow, that’s how nice the people are who work here.

Six breakfasts and one lunch. All tasty. This is the second time we've stayed here and, strangely, the thing I notice are the eggs at breakfast. I'm sure they were raised and talked into giving themselves up by loving farmers (required in Seattle) and the producer is named, and they have more flavor than any other eggs I have ever had.

We were staying at the Marriott Waterfront, and after a long cross-country flight, wanted a good meal in the hotel restaurant. We were seated at a nice table looking out toward the water, but were disappointed in the portion sizes of our meals. The server accidentally spilled some ice on the table, and rather than pick it up, he swept it onto the hard floor and did not clean it up, even after we pointed out that he or a customer could have a nasty slip and fall. We found the price tag much too high for the amount of food and the so-so service.

I stayed in the hotel connected to this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. Rachel, the waitress, was pleasant and accurate. I ordered the egg white omelette, which came with the fruit cup and the grill English muffin and a side of bacon. Everything was delicious and hot. Quick delivery of the food too.

We stayed at the Marriott here and had one dinner in this restaurant. We were totally disappointed. the menu is quite limited. In fact, my wife couldn't find anything she wanted and actually left. I did order the Halibut. The fish came served on an assorted grilled vegtables and the fish served plain with a bit too much salt. no sauces, no herbs or seasoning....really plain Jane. Service was fine, prices for a glass of wine and the food was on the high side for what you got. Overall, I would not eat here again. You can go right across the street and have a much better meal at pier 66 or anthony's with a great view of the bay.

Good place when you didn't want to leave the Marriott. The place was empty every night we walked by but the menu and food was good and it has great potential. Wine list and Beer selection were ample.

Food was just ok. Pricing seemed high for food served.Menu did have reasonable number of menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Marshall the in house mixologist can make some darn good drinks. He was willing to also create new mix's on the spot according to taste. The burger and fries were cooked correctly and had good flavor, one could do worse than to dine here while enjoying a good drink.

The first night my husband and I ordered the Pan Fried Diver Scallops. There were four of them (half dollar size) and came with risotto. VERY good! There are no sides that come with it, just so you are aware. Cost $26 each. A friend had the H&P Angus Beef Burger and found it very good as well $16. The next night we came back and my husband and I both ordered the $26 rib eye. Us coming from Nebraska - corn fed beef - we found the steak a bit disappointing - pretty thin for what we call a ribeye. Our daughter wasn't very hungry and ordered the crab cake appetizer $17. She liked them, but not the cooked cauliflower that came with it. The steak had what they called a garnish salad, but we thought it was a good sized side salad more than a garnish.

This restaurant is attached to the Marriott Waterfront, so we ate here a few times over several days. The breakfast is fantastic - my sister had the eggs benedict both days - once with salmon, once with crab, and really enjoyed both (although rated the crab as the best.) Their breakfast buffet was great, and had almost everything offered on the individual-order menu (except the eggs benedict.) The best item here is the French Toast, and I'm not usually a french toast lover. But it was amazing - highly recommended. Dinner was pretty decent, too, although both adults stuck with simply prepared fish (black sable and ahi tuna). However, the desserts weren't great - I recommend not wasting your time or calories.

I stay at the Marriott (Hook & Plow is the breakfast and dining facility of the Marriott) nearly every month. Breakfast is good, although other Marriott Hotels offer better breakfasts (just speaking for the full buffet). This one has no cold cuts (which for Europeans like me belong to a standard breakfast). The omelet-station is very good, the also fulfill special wishes like a bit of salsa on the side. A bit of variation from day to day would be nice. For Dining, Hook & Plow used to be good, but since May 2014 they have a new menu, and this one's a bit short and reduced. I loved their BLT-Sliders and the Hummus & Pita, especially on an warm summer evening on the terrace. Nice view of the harbour, Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. Not anymore... (okay, the view is still the same) Service usually is good and attentive, but when it's empty or when it's completely packed (as on cruiseship days in the summer) you might find yourself looking for a server for several minutes.

My wife and I stopped in after spending a day in Victoria, BC. We weren't terribly hungry at 8:30 that evening, but when we asked them to make us chicken bacon club sandwiches with fries (which only appears on their lunch menu, not their dinner menu), they quickly obliged. They also have a great selection of local microbrews. Terrific place, located in the Marriott Waterfront, worth a visit for lunch or dinner.

Had the local king salmon which was excellent. Brussel sprouts were very good as well. My daughter had the kids pizza which she loved and the fries were great! Great service.

Decided to spend our last night at the hotel and eat in the restaurant. Pleasantly surprised! We weren't overly hungry, so we each ordered a Caesar's Salad (real anchovies!!!) and I had steamed clams appetizer and my husband had the crab cakes appetizer. More than enough food and they were all delicious! The server was exceptional and we definitely will return when we stay there again.

the food seems a bit boring, menu dated.. we had cobb salad and that was marginal. kale pasta dish bland and greasy. service slow, atmosphere pleasant but no water view, just a view of a busy street..

This restaurant is part of Seattle Waterfront Marriott Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the food and drink. I also found it reasonably priced, especially for Seattle!

We did not have a good experince a the Marriott where the Hook & Plow is located but the Hook and Plow was for sure our highlight to the trip. We had lunch there our first day there and Brook waited on us and what a pleasure she was. The breakfast was awesome and the service in the morning was great. Thanks Hook & Plow for giving us high points on our trip.

This restaurant's menu was a little on the fancy side for us, but it was still delicious. My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken dish and the only complaint we had was we could have used a bigger piece of chicken! We also had breakfast the next morning here, we did the buffet and everything was great and fresh.

The Hook & Plow suffered form lack of customers. The food was fine. At some tables the light was low, or poor, which didn't help the atmosphere. Where you could have a table with good lighting it was good. A busy hotel, but probably suffers with the many alternative restaurants in walking distance. The price was fine, the quantity of food on the plates was typically large, so plate sharing is worth considering. Would I use it again if back in Seattle, yes.

Great place to eat breakfast - wide variety of foods - average pricing for Seattle. Have both buffet and single order items available on Sundays (only day I was there) - did have notifications around restaurant which indicate that there was a happy hour daily - believe that was on the second floor and open patio - across from waterfront - stunning view

Nice restaurant with a nice location. feel free and have your time to write your story or poetry or note. relaxing place with a nice service staff. and delicious food with cold or hot drink.

We had breakfast at the Hook&Plow just before embarking on a cruise. We opted for the buffet after looking it over and considering the a la carte menu. Good choice: the berries were plump and fresh and delicious, pastry/breads and smoked salmon were good, bacon crisp, and eggs were done to order - even a poached egg delivered to the table with a smile by the chef. Coffee and orange juice were very good; service adequate. The whole thing was expensive, but not much more than at a trendy nearby Pike Market breakfast place, which was much more congested.

Food was fresh and very tasty, but service was really slow. I don't like to linger over breakfast. They graciously steamed soy milk for my coffee. I had the brioche French toast and the pecan butter was really good.

We were looking for a light dinner since it was 8:30pm and decided to try out the hotel rest. The bowl of clam chowder was simply delicious and wish I could I have stayed longer to have tried again. My husband had a salad and it was a pretty generous portion. The ambience was kind of nice, maybe because we had a late dinner it was kind of quiet only 3 tables for such a large place.

I had a very early breakfast here. super friendly staff. He recommended the crabmeat eggs Benedict. It was fantastic. Never expected the crab meat to be piled so high, perfectly cooked eggs, just right tiny potatoes. Savoured the breakfast for as long as I could. Other dishes that were being set before the rooms patrons looked just as good. Everyone seems as delighted as I was with their fare. If you either stay at the Marriott hotel or are just walking past, take this place in. It is delightful

The service staff are great. The food was good. Meat a touch over cooked. Staff apologized for long wait. All other times I have eaten here the food was quickly served and there was attention to details. Hope this was an exception.

We were staying at the Marriott so we ate here twice. Our first meal was a late lunch in the afternoon on a hot summer day in Seattle. We had a couple of beers and then enjoyed a flat bread. Views from our patio table were nice. We could also see the Norwegian cruise ship across the road. We were taking the sister ship out the next day the Norwegian Pearl so it was a nice sight for us to see. Service was fine. In morning we ate inside instead of on the patio. Service was good. Egg benedict was tasty.

This resturant is located by the waterfront and is connected to the Marriot hotel. It offers outdoor and indoor dining. My wife and daughter both have allergies so, we needed to speak to the head chef. He was very polite and catered to my family well. This resturant was quite quiet which we actually enjoyed. If we come back to seattle we would visit again.

We arrived at the restaurant late and only were hungry for a couple dishes to share and some drinks. Everything was very good and the staff didn't make us feel we needed to hurry so they could clean up and leave.

Although it's connected to the Marriott, it's worth stopping by for a meal. During good weather, you can eat outside in two different spots...outside of the Hook and Plow and outside of the Hotel Bar. The menus are different. The service here can be fabulous OR it can be not so fabulous, just depending.

Pricy but typical for a downtown hotel. Servers very nice and food was terrific. So much better than trying to fight the crowds at the market.

Whether you want a full dinner or just an appetizer and drink on the patio overlooking the water, this is a good option. Known for their chowder, the scallops were excellent too.

We had dinner here the night before our cruise left for Alaska. It was not crowded, however, the service was slow and the food took quite awhile to arrive. There was a manager walking around constantly but not sure what his purpose was as nothing seemed to change. The bartender did arrive with drinks for the table as it took so long the first time we had to go to the bar and tell them our drinks had been sitting for a long time. Okay for a dinner prior to a cruise, but not for a night out.

Stopped for quick bite upon check-in, as we had spent 6 hours traveling. Our server was excellent, but the food was just okay. We expected better based on reviews. To be fair, we arrived between lunch and dinner menus, so we will give another try in the future.

Before spending the morning walking to Pike's Market we had breakfast at the Hook and Plow. It was fantastic to say the least. Not your ordinary breakfast. Although they had a buffet with the usual breakfast fare, their menu included many other items which were just amazing. My husband ordered the Corned Beef Brisket and I ordered a Fritatta. The presentation as well as taste was phenomenal. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful about the area. This restaurant uses locally sourced foods as well.

Great menu - not a lot of variety but something for everyone. I had the burger --- which was one of the best best burgers I have ever had. The others in the party had the BLT, the seafood Club and the fish tacos. Everyone was VERY pleased with their meals. Service was a little slow (especially with alcohol beverages) but very friendly and personal.

Not bad for a restaurant inside a chain hotel. The service was super friendly and the menu had a decent selection with local items. Lots of fresh fruit which was welcome as a business traveler. Breakfast prices were on the high side, but lunch was very reasonable.

Restaurant is in the Marriott hotel on Alaskan Way. Menu is limited, but for better than average. Service was good and wait staff very friendly and attentive.

We went for happy hour and encountered great cocktails and a great bar menu. We had the Seafood Club sandwich and it was delicious. Later that week we went back for dinner and I had the hamburger and it was cooked perfectly. My husband wasn't feeling very well and they accommodated him by giving him a fresh turkey sandwich which wasn't on their dinner menu. The staff was very nice and the place was clean and had a nice menu selection.

This is a very nice restaurant that is attached to the hotel, it has a smaller menu, but the items on the menu are very good.

The best part of my Alaskan Cruise adventure is the stay at the Marriott and breakfast at the Hook and Plow. I never deviate, but order the same meal every time; Traditional eggs Benedict and two Bloody Marys. The eggs Benedict is amazing.. The fried red potatoes are crisp on the outside and perfect on the inside with just the right amount of seasoning. The ham is out of this world great, and I'm not sure why but not like any ham I can get in Minnesota. Even the English muffin is better than any I have had, so I am not sure of their secrets, but wow! The Hollandaise sauce is perfectly balanced and the only shortfall, as you can really receive enough, but had I requested additional, I would have gladly been provided. Service by the young gentleman at the Hook and Plow is outstanding as they are pleasant, engaging, and not over the top. Great breakfast, keep up the great work!

We ate there several times, once on the outside patio, and had great meals each time. The soups were delicious. Order your gin and tonic tall and watch life go by from the patio.

Great food - good service The menu was excellent for breakfast. Bit crowded over weekend if you are not there early. Nice ambience and set up. Food tasted fantastic. Best part about this hotel. A hidden gem.

Wide variety, good service, excellent food right in the Marriott Waterfront. Had a cooked to order omelette delivered to the table. Especially great variety of fresh fruits.

The servers were very nice and accommodating and the breakfast selection was great. We didn't have other meals here, only breakfast as we were staying at the hotel, but I wish we had more time so we could try the other menu items. Or at least have a drink at the bar.

This is a restaurant just by The Marriot Waterfront hotel. We ate there twice ( it was so good!) when we were staying at the hotel. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent with plenty of choice, and no rush for us to leave.
Very Good Hotel Restaurant
We ate here on 2 seperate occasions. After reading the reviews I had to try the clam chowder. We also had a salad and a soup of the day. The clam chowder was creamy and had large chunks of ham. Overall a good lunch and everything tasted good. The craft beers were also good. We had breakfast late and missed the buffet. I will admit that $29 for a breakfast buffet doesn't seem to be a good value to me. The corn beef hash was excellent with large chunks of meat and potatoes. Different than I am used to, but delishious. The All American breakfast was another great dish with a variety of normal breakfast fare to choose from. One thing that I didn't understand was the order of toast only included 1 slice of bread. I am used to 2 slices. The staff on both occasions have been excellent. We were able to get menu suggestions and tips on things to do and see in the city. It's convinent for hotel guests, but the food and staff would be the reason to return.
