Good atmosphere, nice place close to some good live music venues. They have a really good selection of burgers; Not the best I've had but very close. Good selection of fries and beers also.

This was a cool place. I got the bacon cheeseburger. It was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had from a restaurant. It was fresh and juicy. Hands down I am glad we stumbled across this place. Totally recommend it!

Amazing hambúrguer with goat cheese and pesto. Lovely place and great service. Also marguerita and Coronas are great.

We actually stopped here around 11:30 because we were shopping on Congress and the kids got hungry. We were hoping to find a place with not a long wait because we had to be somewhere by 1:45. We were concerned that it might be very difficult to find a place in Austin on a Sunday without a long wait. The hostess was able to find us a table right away. After we sat down I notices that the line to order became very long, but things still seemed to be pretty efficient. The burgers were so good. The truffle fries were also very tasty. I noticed that on their menu you could add alcohol to any of their milkshakes. This was very appealing to me after shopping on Congress all morning with 3 children. It was a great experience, but I do recommend that you try to get in there before noon if you are going for lunch, because as we discovered the restaurant wait times in Austin can be brutal.

Hopdoddy's is a yes for any incoming guest to Austin. It's original concept with exceptional ingredients make it a "fun" place to visit and enjoy the burgers and salads.

Went for the wagyu beef burger and it was truly amazing everyone in group loved their burgers. The chilli fries are also a must. Never tasted anything like it.

Worth the wait! The burgers are big but delicious. Service is pretty quick too. This area is so cute. Enjoy a delicious burger and truffle fries then head next door for some live music.

This Austin chain surely has hit the mark with great tasting burgers and fries. They do a great job of the variety, special and consistency in the quality of food. Friendly atmosphere and fun place to visit.

Visited this place during a day trip down south congress. It was a Friday evening around 6pm and was pretty busy. The queuing system is a bit weird. As a coeliac I had read the reviews about gluten free. I ordered a gluten free burger with a lettuce wrap (they do have gf buns if you wanted). The server made an allergy note to the kitchen. My partner and I also shared some fries, once again, an allergy note was made so I presume they are cooked separate. The server did ask for ID for a cider, which considering I am almost 40 I thought was a bit ridiculous, he refused to let me have it given my ID was at home which was a bit pants on a Friday night! The burger was decent but the fries were way too salty.

Ordered my burger well done and it was pink....but the fries were yummy! But won't be back cause burger was below average!

Great and healthy burger. I don’t remeber what I had but it was so juicy and had avocado. The size was good too and not very greasy

Definitely worth it. We had the Bandita burger and it was so delicious. The truffle fries were a great side to enjoy. The buns were so so good. The frozen margarita's was great to just finish off the meal. Can't wait to go back.

We happened upon Hopdoddy's for lunch while shopping SoCo. We had a great meal, delicious burgers, fries, and drinks! The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is fresh and delicious. They grind their own meats, cut their own fries, and churn their own ice cream. I had a wonderful cookies and cream milkshake with Khalua and the fries with truffle oil and parmesan were great. Nice selection of handcrafted burgers of all varieties. Definitely would return if ever in Austin again!

Great burger! Moist and juicy, very flavorful. Had the Pablano burger loaded and was very pleased. Great fries both traditional and sweet potato style. Atmosphere is quirky and fits in well in Austin. Don't let the line discourage you. Go with friends and have a few beers!

As someone who only eats one burger a year I was rewarded with an exceptional burger, the Llano Poblano. The quality is excellent. The service by Tyler and Manager Jaime was awesome. The sweet potato fries were delicious. Craft beers and the frozen Margarita only took one. Did I mention free parking??

We tried this on the recommendation of friends who live in Austin. We were not disappointed. I was leery at first since it looked crowded, but they have a great system in place to keep people moving. We ordered our food and were given a table. Burgers were awesome, and the fries were even better. Perfect lunch spot. My kids wanted to go back a second time.

Excellent only begins to describe this place - great location, fantastic cocktails, people-watching galore, and the burgers!! They are perfectly cooked, fries are on point and there are veggie-vegan options as well (the Terlingua is my fave with chili and Fritos) - go during the day (2-5) to avoid the worst of the lines but go as soon as you can!! (Great boozy shakes, too!

Atmosphere is great (Better than it looks from the outside). Alcohol available. I had a burger with grilled onions and chipotle aioli. Yum! I wanted to try sweet potatoe fries with the chipotle aioli but opted for a kale salad. I thought I’d be “settling “ to get less calories. It was delicious. Cabbage, kale, peanuts, chili flakes and a peanut Thai dressing. YUMMO! Service was attentive!

I sat at the bar and placed my order. The bar tender was this young guy that was more interested in talking with a friend than servicing customers. He gave me a plastic cup and told me to get my own soda instead of using his soda gun at the bar. He had one of those pensil eraser hair doos. I censed that he didnt like white Americans

Second time that I’ve eaten here and never disappointed. There can be a wait but well worth it. Sweet potato fries!!

Highly recommend this fun place that takes fast food to another level . The vegan burger was excellent . Meat eaters really enjoyed their burgers too. Cocktails were generous and very reasonable - very long "happy hour " . Noisy crowd , always busy - we went twice .

So I stopped here for lunch today. Looked good. Ordered my food and got a table. Just ordered bacon burger, fries and a shake. Shake was okay. Straw was a little wide to use. They didn’t mix the chocolate in that well. The burger and fries took a while to show up, and it wasn’t that busy. Fries were cold and soggy. Burger was supposed to be medium but was completely raw in the middle. Ate half and left most of it. When they removed the plate no one asked how it was. I even cut open the burger to expose the raw meat. Not sure if it’s still legal to serve meat raw in a restaurant any more. No need to ever visit again.

Fantastic burgers and fries. Great and fast service! We were looking for a place to eat on a whim and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of parking, too.

Having queued outside for 30-40 mins and inside for a bit longer before placing an order and being assigned a table, we were by this point very hungry. Thankfully our fries arrived to munch on but no burgers to be seen for about 20 mins. The kind waiter offered us a free milkshake so, having spotted that they all contained some incredibly sweet ingredients, I asked for a banana shake without the salted caramel or whipped cream (thinking that would reduce the sweetness). I was wrong as it turns out it also has brown butter, which we Brits call butterscotch, which made it so horribly sweet and taste nothing at all like banana and it also had a thick layer of whipped cream on, so even then, not what was ordered (I know, it was free, so I probably shouldn't complain, but as a result it mostly went to waste which is a shame). Eventually the burgers came and they were generous in size, well constructed and looked appetizing, but honestly, they were a bit too greasy and so not as enjoyable as they could have been. We left feeling full but unhealthily fatty and a little as though we'd wasted part of the evening waiting for them. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad burgers and others seemed to be enjoying them greatly, but crucially I don't think any of our group of 3 would choose to go back.

We love the hamburgers here. My husband flies into Austin once a month returning from Alaska and we head here first thing. Great staff and juicy burgers.

Visited Hopdoddy in the Soco area. The line was long however well managed by a well trained staff. They move you along, provide menus, take your order and allow you to order from the bar before you sit! The burgers are delicious and we recommend the truffle fries!

I came by during SXSW week. There was a small wait, but they are very efficient. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich and fries. They kept the place clean. With two registers, the lines moved pretty quickly. The price is high. The food came out hot. There was plenty of food to fill you up. The process of this place is very functional. They validate parking in the nearby garage for 1 hour if street parking is not available.

I’m from Los Angeles, where we have lots of gimmicky burger spots like this one. I was expecting much better taste from the order lines I’ve seen. I actually went to one located more near San Antonio. I dig the interior design. However, not anything new and fresh. Customer service is pedestrian. I do like the exploration of gourmet names, but perhaps they don’t live up to their names. I got the double bacon type burger. I tasted very little bacon. Uh, that burger should have been over flowing with bacon. But it wasn’t. Meat tasted is bland. No charbroil grill taste. Also the meat was medium well, which is ok, however I wish they would give options for how one would like their meat prepared. Fries were ok. A bit dry. Sauces definitely help. I would give this place another few tries if I ever come across one. Lots of menu options. I filled out a guest service card. They had no place to drop the card and no pens or pencils. So I had to give it to the cashier. Kinda awkward.

We came across this great restaurant while on holiday in Austin. We liked it so much we went back the next day! My wife said it was the best burger she’s ever had (she had the tuna one). The fries are excellent especially the Parmesan ones!

We come here often. Great burgers and they have an unprinted kid burger that will save you some cash. My kids are gluten free (coeliac) and they can do kid burgers and fries without problems. It's also noisy enough that they can chat happily. A few storeels nearby if you need to walk off the burgers. A good board game/card game shop and an awesome toy store.

Was shaking off a cold, need a morale boost. Cheeseburgers are the cleanest path to high five-ing high performance after a spell, this place was ranked Numero Uno. Rolled in, the staff were fluent in Australian, grabbed a burger and bowl of Brussel sprouts. Wonderful

The first time I visited I said it was the best burger I’d ever had. I went back, however to the cedar park restaurant and was disappointed. The menu had changed and the burgers were away smaller. The burger was ok but that was it.

I tried the vegetarian options at this place. The strawberry milkshake is amazing too. The staff is courteous and take good care of you.

For years we have seen the looong waiting line when we drive by. This year, my daughter wanted to go to celebrate her birthday and eat there. The food was so amazing that made the wait totally worth it. We ordered the Llano Poblano hamburger, the Diablo and the truffle Parmesan fries as well as the buffalo fries. My personal favorite is the Llano poblano. We were almost done with our food and still hungry so our waiter put another order in for additional food and to our surprise, we were barely finished with the first order when we got our second batch. Amazing service! It was great! We will go there again! Loved it!

Great lunch. Sat at the bar. The bartender Tyler was awesome, knowledgeable and kind. Only downside was that the french fries are cooked in beef tallow. Not great for vegetarians.

Good hamburgers but a very loud environment. Lots of kids. But my husband, who is a hamburger gourmet, enjoyed his hamburger. We split a small fries order and it was plenty for the 2 of us.

My wife and I went for a bike ride. We decided to get a burger at our favorite burger joint in Austin. We both ordered the classic burger, doctored up of course. We both get our burgers and mine is missing the extra cheese I ordered. No big deal. Our server Aaron goes and grabs it lightening fast. I take a bite and it is severely over cooked (I ordered it medium rare). I would have eaten it if was even close to that but it was cooked well done. So I send it back. They expedited it, so it only took ten minutes to get the second one. Meanwhile my wife is halfway done with hers. The second burger gets delivered and again it missing the extra cheese. No big deal Aaron grabs it in a flash. I take a bite of it and guess what, we’ll done! I asked Aaron for a manager reassuring him he has been a great server. The manager asks me if a want to fix it but I’m not interested. She comes back and says she took it off the bill (I hadn’t eaten a burger, so of course I’m not paying for it). I asked her if she was going compensate me for the inconvenience and she snatched the receipt out of my hand and said,” FINE!” She came back and gave me more attitude, slapping the receipt on the table and walking away. Not sure I’ll be going back to the Congress location ever again. But Aaron the server was cool!

Fun at one of our favorite family eatery! The burgers are to die for and the fries are amazing! Always consistently great!

Just upscale enough you feel good about inviting friends or coworkers to join you. They very nicely handle the lunch crowd by shared seating and assembly line ordering. Love their burgers and salads.

I don't even know where to start with this place. I mean, there's got to be a reason why the line is wrapped around the building almost every time I go right? Yes. Their burgers are amazing. My go-to is the tuna burger, rare, and it is amazing. And do not forget to try their Salted Caramel Shake which beats all other shakes in this entire universe.

There's a couple of different sort of fries that are splendid, the Blue Cheese Burger is pretty good and the atmosphere of the place is quite nice as well.

It's nice that they sell you drinks while you're waiting on line as we waited 40 minutes. Kind of mayhem for a bit once you get inside. We didn't like that the fries came WAY before the burgers. They should come together. The fries were cold by the time the burgers got to us. Waiter blew by a few times so not really attentive. Burger was good though!

Hopdoddy has some of the best hamburgers in Austin. The lamb burger and mushroom burger are standouts! The fries are excellent. The only thing that is a drawback is the line is always too long.

We arrived at an excellent time, the service was great and the burgers were perfeclty cooked!! We were two couples having dinner, everything was amazing! The location of the restaurant is unbeatable and it has parking behind, they validate your ticket which is a great perk! The fireman´s #4 beer is a must!

Hopdoddy is the place to go to get great burgers and sit outside and listen to music and people watch. The service was superb. I got the El Diablo and it was great. Super Margaritas. Highly recommend!

Everything we've eaten here was just fantastic. I recommend grabbing yourself a burger, sharing a specialty bowl of fries (parmesan truffle fries are amazing) with your friend or date, and saving room for a shake. When I first came here, the shakes didn't even phase me, but my friend ordered one, and it was one of the best shakes I've ever had. I got a Smoreo shake (mixture of the smores + oreos). Do it. Just go. And eat eat eat until you have to roll yourself out the door. Oh and if it's you're first time here, walk inside and head toward the back of the restaurant. You'll have to stand in line, order your food, and they'll assign a table to you. So don't worry about scouting for an open table beforehand.

Their vegetarian burger is great! The queso fries were also delicious! This is one of my favorites and hen in Austin!

We unexpectedly spent the night in Austin, TX when strong storms diverted our flight to Dallas. After a 2.5 hour flight and being stuck on the tarmac for 4 hours, we were starving. We had our food delivered to our hotel so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but our food was great! Probably one of the best burgers I've had. We had the classic burger, the goodnight/good cause burger, and the green chile queso fries.

Amazing Parmesan truffle fries. Hot, tasty and generous portions. One order is more than enough for four servings. The burgers are so great and you get them made exactly like you want. Park in the garage behind but don’t pay on the app. There’s a kiosk at the register that gives you 75 minutes free.

We stumbled on this place while out walking the streets of Austin. Very organized establishment. Was very busy as it was lunch time. Staff took our drink order while we were in line. Enjoyed the root beer malt shake - yum. The had the mushroom burger which was incredible. If you like burgers, fries and shakes make this a definitely on your Austin list.

You’ve not tried burgers until you’ve had a taste of the Hopdoddy’s classic Angus burger! Puts Shake Shack to shame... The meat tasted like a cross between minced meat and steak. Still juicy and not too dry. The buns have a sweet slight buttery taste the tickles my palates. You can always add an egg and avocado to the burger (though it’s not obvious on the menu). Makes the overall taste more complete. Anyways, it was by accident that I discovered this place while visiting Austin for the first time in my life. My shared rider on Lyft was a student studying in a university nearby. I always trust students’ recommendations on food as they go for value for money about food. Glad I was right!

Inexpensive, atmospheric even on. Thursday afternoon, excellent Margaritas and sensationally good burgers and fries. Highly recommended.

Ate here with co-workers and a client. I would definitely go back. I ordered a make your own (classic) burger medium rare and added sauteed mushrooms and onions. Yum! Wish there was a location near me.

in spite of the long lines, and the trendy, noisy and brash interiors the burgers are amasingly good. altho "good" is an understatement. they are definetly top 10 material, fries as well. give the truffled fries a miss. save that for a fine Italian restaurant. I'm sure there is a method to their madness, but then again this is a university town. so 'noisy and chaotic' are de rigueur for this type establishment. I'll add that is somehow quite clean ! I will definitely pay another visit at another time. I'm not one for waiting in line for 30 mins to place an order for a burger.

The place took three times to get fries "crispy." I could do a better job with an air fryer. For 8 bucks, you would think they could make fries "extra crispy" as ordered on the first try. And the fries come to your table before the burger. Can't they serve them at the same time? No one wants to eat piecemeal. The manager "Regina," who goes by "Gina," made matters worse by being rude and sarcastic. After she said she would "take care of my meal," she rudely grabbed my tray that still had half a burger on it. She argued with me and had this smirk on her face, like she thought all this was funny. Horrible. Won't go back there!

The best compliment I can give is that I'm supremely jealous I don't have one in Miami. The line still forms even during covid times, and yes it moves fast. The truffle fries are probably worth the trip alone, and I'm not a huge fan of truffle fries. Hopdoddy's fries are skinny, hot and fries to absolute crispy perfection. We opted to include a side of green Chile queso, a decision we DID NOT regret. The bacon jam burger was very good, especially enjoyed the mustard grilled onions. A burger that is superior to shake shack coupled with a full bar makes me wonder how shake shack is able to stay in business in the burger rich city of Austin. Service was fast and friendly. If I'm ever back in Austin, fingers crossed, I will be back.

Walked a mile to get here and worth it. The decor is casual and inviting. The hostess was friendly and reserved us a table. The smell of the fresh baked buns is amazing. We ordered three burgers and a side of fries. All were terrific. The seating was again casual but perfect for us. The television was a nice touch. It has a full bar and milkshakes. The shake on the table next to us looked incredible.

It was melt in your mouth. I couldn't tell that it was a veggie burger! My boyfriend and I shared it. The restaurant is very cute and very packed too!

This is a topnotch casual burger place with locally sourced ingredients. On a large blackboard, they even list the ranch or farm where the beef and produce come from -- makes you feel like you're doing something good for the environment while treating yourself. They have several unusual desserts too, but I'm always too full. Last time I was there, I vowed to return and just get dessert. The line can be long, so try to go for early or late lunch or late dinner..

After standing in line for 10 mintues to order, someone walks up to us and tells us we can sit in the booth at the bar and the bar would wait on us. We sat, and waited... and waited. Other than bad service, the food made the experience much better! The impossible burger was amazing! I wasnt a fan of the green chili fries but my sister loved them! I had fun trying the different sauces. Chipotle ketchup was yummy and so was their honey mustard... skip the caffeined bbq- taste like coffee grinds.

The hamburgers here are fantastic. The bread alone is worth going for. Fries were fabulous. But the shakes ??? Oh my. So good. Loud. Fun. Gets crowded so go early.

Went with my family of 5, my sister, niece and cousin and her son who were visiting from Chicago. While the visitors loved their burgers and amazingly tasty and fresh sweet potato and truffle Parmesan fries, the server didn’t follow the Hopdoddy procedure of calling out the names attached to each burger. Therefore my son who has sever food allergies almost had a “mishop” doddy! This is still our favorite burger joint but the staff are probably a little overwhelmed.

Went early for dinner because we had read about the lines. Even at 5pm the line was almost out the door. The good news is that it moves pretty fast. From that point it took about 15 minutes to place our order and get a table assigned. Don't be tempted to have someone in your party attempt tp "hold" an outside table while others get in line to order as these tables are being assigned to people, just as the inside tables. We had squatters at our table who politely moved as they didn't realize they were sitting in assigned seating. The food is decent but not exceptional. Burgers were cooked more than how we ordered. Fries were edible but had been out of the oil for some time. Food came out faster than we thought once ordered. Staff were friendly. Staff taking orders were helpful with choices for those of us newbies. Based on reviews we expected better but, when we're back in Austin we'll go again and hope for a little better.

Hopdoddy seems more of an experience; an event in itself, if you can get through the long lines just to get a great burger then find yourself wanting more of the experience but compelled to leave because you've overstayed your welcome having only sat for the 10 minutes it took to eat! My advice, DON'T GO HUNGRY: gather a group of your most laid-back friends/family that expect to wait in line, enjoying some drinks & casual conversation. Decided on your meal ASAP to be able to place your order, when asked, while in line. Enjoy the atmosphere while your anticipation & appetite grows with a couple of glasses of wine then think about adding some "shareables" to your order, you will not be disappointed while soaking in the sights & sounds of SoCo!

Hopdoddy is a regular in the best burgers in US lists. Even though I really don’t believe it is, you will be sure to have a excellent burger and truffled chips made to perfection. A must go!

Looked at several nearby but so glad I chose this one. Friendly welcome from staff behind bar, good choice of burgers and fries and fast service compared to some places I have tried. Juicy burger, cooked to perfection with very tasty fries. Good choice of beers but watch out for the heavy glasses used to keep it cool. Two hands needed! I can see why this piece rates so highly amongst the eateries in Austin. It well deserves the ranking.

Don’t asks for extras on the burgers, the cash register loves it, totally ripped off with an order of 2 burgers and one lot of fries. My burger was raw, sent back, replaced with an edible but not so enjoyable meal. If you’re starving, go there, otherwise I wouldn’t rate this place. Staff were friendly.

Oh man!! Back by popular demand the "Buffalo Bill" was off the hook!? What does that mean?? First off: it was delicious! Shockingly there wasn't a long line considering downtown Austin... The truffle fries were a delight. Drinks were served in frothy glasses. A+ will return. Damn... Can't help think of the blu cheese aftertaste! :)

This is a MUST when in Austin! You may think it's just another hamburger joint but it's a heavenly step above all others. When you enter and see a long line to order you might want to bolt but don't! The line moves quickly and worth the wait. You can grab a drink at the bar while in line to help pass the time. Once at the order counter you can see where they grind their own meat and bake the buns. There's a wide array of condiments to choose from but this burger doesn't need any help in the flavor department. My mushroom burger with added avocado was one of the best burgers in memory. It literally melted in my mouth and ever last bite was full of flavor. Not to mention the awesome fries with truffle aioli. Just be warned that one order of fries is more than enough to serve 2 hungry people. Because we were there the weekend of the Austin City Limits Music festival this place was packed with the line out the door and up the street. I figured we were on our own for service once our meal arrived. Instead, I was most impressed with our excellent server who answered all questions, brought more truffle aioli for our fries and even thought to bring a different aioli to taste. Now that's service! You can bet that we will make a beeline here next time in Austin!

Bar tender and staff are really nice. They validate the parking garage ticket. Margarita was nice and strong too! Chill atmosphere!

Burgers are amazing truffle fries the best as well!! They have a awesome margarita with corona!! Be careful there awesome and strong!! Make sure you are not in a hurry mist nights there is a long wait to get in.

Did some research and found Hopdoddy's. Went with two burger buddies, one who was rating burgers up in Seattle with a work crew. This did not disappoint. Interesting ordering and seating process, kind of a mix between of a counter order and a sit-down situation. Had a poblano burger. Great size, bun, texture and well seasoned patty. Fries were done right. Great place to try. The only other note was both my friends were overwhelmed by their shakes, but they finished them!

One of the best burger I ever had, I must say the burger was outstanding, the meet juicy tender, a dream. You have to try the Truffle fries, a specialty I had for first time. They were so deliciously good. The service was very friendly and entertaining while we had to wait for quite a bit but it was worth it. The body was super full of calories but it did not feel like it which speaks for the good quality. So if you are looking for for a good burger place then go for hopdoddy!

It's always hard for me to find a burger place that offer's gluten free buns. Hopdoddy doesn't disappoint. Their gluten free bun is delicious! They also have stellar sweet potato fries!

This is probably the best burger I've ever had, succulent and juicy and the taste is a cut above any fast food burger you've had, even the seasoned fries are great, it's a mucky burger, sinful and indulgent but I will definitely return again for another one. It also has great bar area with a big selection of real ale type beer but unfortunately I was driving so couldn't sample any.

Had an absolutely delicious late lunch. We both had the classic burgers which were cooked perfectly and in the top 5 we’ve had. At least the top 5. The truffle fries were to die for and large enough to share. I had a boozy shake - Oreo cookie with kahlua that was outstanding. The put actual cookies in their shakes and they too are delicious There was a long line but it moved pretty fast - they offer cucumber water while you’re in queue which was much appreciated! Service was fantastic. Would definitely eat here again.

Great gluten-free burger bun. The burger was cooked well and they lightly butter and toast the gluten-free bun. Turn around time from order until you get the food is quick. How you order is odd, as you walk past the tables, order, and then get assigned a seat. They need more instructions on this point. I was not impressed with the small amount of sweet potato fries given with a side order. There were perhaps 15 fries total at a cost of about $4.50. Make sure you validation goes thru and works! Mine did not and now I am battling with the parking garage to be refunded my $13.06 for 1 hour parking, which is insane.

So we went here because of the great reviews but we found the place chaotic and confusing. They forgot my brother-in-law's burger and really had no good apology.

Everyone has to try a Hopdoddy burger at least once! Surprisingly there is ample parking for a location in the city. There are tons of things to do around the area. They are known to locals for their burgers. Try any burger in the menu. You will not be disappointed.

We did the mushroom burger but the green chili queso is the star of the show. Just get two or three orders of the fries and queso and you will be happy! Great environment and a friendly staff

Shopping, walking, hungry? Stop here and get the truffle fries ! The come in a bucket size bowl! Add a vodka birthday shake and u can just keep shopping on congress afterward. The burger was great to. The line was out the door but did not take long. I understand this is a chain but the fries are off the chain !!

Always a great quality burger and the fries are on point. Now that they have been around the line isn't as crazy except for the peak times of lunch and exploration of South Congress. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing! Line can be long, but they have a great system and it is so well organised that it goes fast. I had the prime star burger - grass fed Kobe beef - and I can honestly say it was the best burger I have ever had. Also beers are a generous pour. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection. Also great sweet potato fries - nice and crunchy. We would absolutely come back here. Highly recommend.

This is a very hip, comfortable burger bar. I’ve never experienced a meal like this. It is busy - but we were lucky enough to get two seats at the bar. Their specialty it burgers and fries - and drinks. Shakes with alcohol or other adult beverages. It was a very fun atmosphere and the food was amazing. Worth the trip and the wait! The bartenders were very attentive and knew their menu & products - made excellent suggestions.

Great burger but not a lot of fries to share. I liked the refill station for the soda. atmosphere seemed good although employees were more interested in socializing, then waiting on customers.

This is, hands down, our favorite burger joint in Austin... so long as we can sneak in during off-peak hours! As much as we love the burgers, we're not willing to stand in line for an hour outside the building. One of the best things about HD is the service. My family loves a juicy burger cooked medium. A few times, we've gotten burgers with an over-cooked patty. Disappointing, but all you have to do is catch your server's eye & you'll have the burger of your dream ASAP. And no visit is complete without a bowl of parmesan truffle fries! I also love that they offer sodas with real sugar instead of HFCS.

If you want a high quality burger and a drink, this is definitely the place to go. Variety of burger options, including beef, but also turkey, chicken, and tuna. Line forms outside, can take a while at peak times, but worth the wait. Easy access on the route 1 bus from downtown.

It says something about a place when you are only in Austin for 3 days and you go there twice. Myself and my boyfriend are both veggie and at the moment the UK does not have the 'impossible burger'. The one at this place is great, it bleeds very realistically and tastes awesome. The accompanying sauces are great (I particularly liked the truffle aioli) and the sweet potato fries were delicious. It was super busy both times we went but we got a table pretty quickly.

In Austin on a business trip, it was great this was in walking distance from our downtown hotel. Nice hamburgers and fun fries. Good atmosphere. Can eat outside too. Very hip and fun area it's located in with many shops, bars, and restaurants.

Quick easy ordering for a variety of foods. They are all delicious. Staff members are patient and friendly and helpful. Food can out quickly and hot. Well seasoned. Great atmosphere to eat in. The staff continued to check in on our happiness. Beer selection was great. Fries and Brussels are a must! I recommend the. Delicious burgers made in some very tasty ways!

I love the classic burger with a fried egg on top (sunny side up). If you want it a little rare they have no problem cooking to order. Delicious! My only complaint is that they only serve Taproot drinks which I don't care for.

Stopped here when visiting Austin, the Happy hour margarita was so good I had 2, not too sweet. The mushroom burger ( I subbed Brie) was very good. The bun was fresh and toasted just right. The truffle fries with Parmigiana was worth the splurge on calories!

Paid $13.50 for a Prime Time Burger, American Grass Fed Kobe Beef, Brie, Arugula, Caramelized Onions, Truffle Aioli, HD1 Steak Sauce, Tomato (See pic) While this sounded great. However, all I tasted was the steak sauce, aioli and brie cheese which smothered any flavor of the susposid "KOBE BEEF" lot of different masking flavors did not gel together at all. I want to taste the burger not the overpowering sauces. After one bite i striped down the burger to just the plane hamburger patty and that is exactly what it tasted like a plane hamburger.. So it was $13.50 for underwhelming ground beef. Stick to the basics on the menu. plane burgers . I thought I was in store for something special instead I was very disappointed. True waste of monies

The Classic Burger is hands down the best burger I've ever had! I'm not the biggest red meat eater, but my daughter told me not to order the black bean (La Bandita). She was right. Cooked perfectly with great flavor. Don't forget the fries to go along with whatever burger you choose.

We visited as we wanted something quick and easy on our last night in Austin. We enjoyed a chicken burger bowl and the tuna burger. Both were amazing! I love love loved that tuna burger! The cocktails are strong and great tasting. I found the service hit and miss - one chap was a bit dismissive with us when we arrived (we didn't understand the queue system) but the woman on the checkout was really friendly and helpful and the young girl who ended up serving us was lovely. The burgers are absolutely delicious. It is a little expensive- but its Austin! Perfect for a casual and scrumptious easy meal.

We have been to Hopdoddy numerous times and after our first visit, we fell in love with their burgers. Their burgers have come to be the standard by which we judge all other burgers. The question always is, "Is it better than Hopdoddy's?" The buns are fresh brioche buns (other options available) baked in-house, the meat is also fresh ground daily, making the patty juicy and tasty. The parmesan truffle fries are to die for. Make sure and have a 512 Pecan Porter too, as the beer complements the burgers divinely. I will add the location in Round Rock has an issue with the flooring. It feels greasy when you walk on it and something needs to be done to change that. I still have to give an excellent rating because the burgers are that good. I've tried a few of their burgers and the Primetime is my favourite. The patty is Kobe beef so it is an expensive burger, but oh so worth it! It truly is that much better than a regular beef patty.
