Local Eats

By Mydogzoom |

We live locally and eat here at least once a month. The food is consistent. Bison or Beef - your choice. The variety of burgers and choice of flavors & combinations are many and delicious. The Parmesean truffle fries are a must have to accompany your burger. The line to get in can get long at times but worth the wait.

Good Burgers!

By Spicey_Jen |

Stopped in on a Friday night to try the place out and the burgers were pretty amazing. Also tried the Parmesan truffle fries...delicious! Overall, a little on the pricey side, but what do you expect from a gourmet burger place.

I live 14,475 kms away, and I can't wait to come back

By Blankets |

We were visiting Dallas from Melbourne, Australia and dropped by Hop Doddy's on a hot June night. We got a table out front with no problems and it only got better from there. The service was fantastic (I'm so sorry I can't remember our servers name) and the burgers were sensational. So tasty. Our server offered us a great Texan beer they were featuring and it topped off the meal perfectly. We can't wait to travel the 14,475 kms to eat at Hop Doddy's again!

Great beer selection & amazing service!

By Kelly H |

When my boyfriend and I arrived in Dallas, our first stop was Hopdoddy based on a recommendation from our AirBNB hosts. The beer selection was great! While we were there we told our waitress that we were in from out of town and that we were excited to try the local beer in Dallas. After ordering our drinks, Alex came back to our table and told us that she spoke to her manager & he was going to come out to tell us more about the local beers. The manager was exceptional! He came out with samples of beer and told us about the breweries, etc. He even gave us some tips for our upcoming trip to Austin. The food menu looked amazing, but we had dinner prior to our arrival. I will definitely try the burgers next time and I hear they have the best fries! This is a great stop for people that want to try local beers. The service was truly exceptional. I will be back!

Overrated

By AroundtheUS |

I have heard good things, however, the food and service were less than good. Cool location, nice atmosphere and the truffle fries were very good. The burger had NO FLAVOR, very disappointing.

Fresh, flavourful burgers - and be sure to leave room for SHAKES!

By delabourgeoise |

Fantastic burger place - well worth a visit if you're in the area. Great for a quick lunch or dinner with friends, as a couple or in a group. The staff are all friendly and enthusiastic. My favorite is the Primetime burger with Brie, truffle aioli and caramelised onions - heaven in the mouth. Their 'shake of the day' is generally irresistible as well. Kind of a confusing ordering system at first, but you get used to it. Often a queue at busy times but once you're seated service is efficient and food comes out pretty quickly.

It's the shakes

By M S |

This HopDoddy's is am easy stop for a cool and refreshing milk shake. Samples of their draft beers are available. The food is always the perfect temperature and cooked to perfection. Great margaritas. Never a wait, at least all the times we've been there, and always quick service. Try it, you'll like it!

Amazing!

By Adventure_Mouse |

Went here on recommendation from our air bnb host and were not disappointed. We both agreed almost one of the best burgers we have eaten! We also had a side of Parmesan fries which were also amazing. Great service and a good time.

One of the best burgers I've had in a long time.

By bibliopathologist |

I stopped by here between brewery visits to fill my gut a bit, and had a hell of a burger. Parking is a bit of an issue.

Hopdoddy's is Hoppin'

By Julie M |

Great restaurant with amazing burgers. Friendly waitstaff, quick service, great upbeat atmosphere. Very crowded at peak dining times so try to go slightly before or after rush. The ahi tuna burger is delicious for non red meat eaters.

Great Burgers!!

By LFisher1717 |

Generally hit this location more frequently than the other one because it's closer to work. Regardless, the burgers are excellent -- wide variety to choose from. The seasoned fries are excellent so don't leave these out. Staff is super friendly. Fun place to hang whether it's for lunch or later in the afternoon / evening for a few cocktails at the bar.

So good!!

By TexTraveler_7 |

This is the best burger I have had in a long time! The buns are delicious and fresh, the beef is very flavorful, they cook them just the way you order them. The fries are hand cut, shoestring style with a little seasoning on them, absolutely delicous. This is really a great place to try!

Perfect Burger

By Wendy H |

My burger was cooked exactly the way I like it - medium rare. The truffle fries were delicious and we tried a chocolate shake with hops - too delicious! So glad someone recommended this place. We had a young waiter (I wish I could remember his name) who was the absolute best!

Worth Thowing the Diet Out The Window

By LaneyJC |

Usually I am in the mind set that "a burger is a burger". Not so at Hopdoddy. We went at an odd hour and there was still a good line going. Every choice under the sun for types of burgers and toppings. We didn't do anything "fancy" and decided to go all out with fries and shakes. Usually I can't finish more than about half a burger, but everything was so good it was gone before I knew it. Though there was fair warning I'll still say that fries and shakes arrive before burgers, which I wasn't crazy about (the timing - not the fries or shakes) but the service was top notch. If you're not one to order sweets (like me), this place is the place to go for it anyway. Best shake ever - and you can add a little "adult" kick if so inclined, though we did not. The tables are bit close for comfort but at every moment servers weren't serving, they were cleaning, which was pretty impressive. Definitely worth a try if you're quite hungry! We'll be back after a few more weeks at the gym!

Good Burger, but seems to be about the Craft Brew

By David T |

My wife and I decided to give Hopdoddy a try. The Terlingua burger was good, but not in the same category as Rodeo Goat -- our current fave. I would rank it on par with Liberty Burger, which means that it's quite good. The Kennebec fresh french fries lived up to their bragging -- tasty and fresh. I had a Vanilla shake, which was good, but not better than the Haagen Dasz shakes at Smashburger. My wife has The Magic Sroom Burger and like it a lot. The service can be a little odd. You stand in line to order, then have a seat and the waiter turns up with your food when it's ready -- a lot like Maple & Motor. All in all, if you're hungry for a burger and brew (I'm not a beer guy), Hopdoddy is a good choice.

Good burgers, great fries

By Sarah F |

Truffle oil on the fries, need I say more? The burger was good, but the fries really shone for me. Local craft beer on tap is neat, salad offerings look standard. Getting your table reserved for you while you are in line to order is a nice touch, we went just before the lunch rush and didn't have any trouble or wait.

Great burgers, however.....

By Ali F |

Long lines waiting to order, fries came out first (fresh), then the burgers and had to ask 3 times for our cocktails. Terrible setup, only able to order the 1st drink in line. Rushed to turn the table. Great burger, however there are many other burger joint in the area with MUCH better service!

Great burger and fries

By ozzyfour |

Nice atmosphere. McKinney has a lot of restaurants to compete with it. Seating is indoor and out. You order at counter, but then refills are done by service. Service was good. Gluten free burger and fries were great. Gluten free bun fell apart quicker than others I have had.

Burgers & brews

By slash45 |

Hopdoddy burger bar is a cool place for an upscale burger and local beer. They also have amazing milkshakes if you would rather go that route. The burgers are fresh and come in many interesting varieties and flavor combinations. The fries are fresh cut and large enough to share. Great place to go with friends

Good .... pricy!

By Riyad M |

Very good burgers with a very large selection including vegetarian and fish burgers, the place is nice so is the service. It is pricy however!

Best hamburger place in uptown Dallas

By Yadira D |

We'd discovered this place around September last year; since then we had been at Hopdoddy's several time. Love the atmosphere, great place to hang out with family and friends. Awesome service, clean place and the most important thing the food is DELICIOUS! My favorite drink is the Sangrita.

Expected better

By katy-lied |

I'm not a fan of place your order at the counter and wait. Can't comment on service as there was none. Prices should reflect this. Parmesan fries were good but for an establishment like this, you'd expect fries with your burger. We both asked for burgers well done which they weren't. Meat was pink on the inside. It's basically an overpriced burger joint...drinks were good though. That's really the only positive I have.

Poor Service!

By Regina |

Waited for about 20 minutes before being asked to be served. We were told by a waiter, that the waitress with the BLUE HAIR would serve us soon, however after we waited an additional ten more minutes before being told that she said that she was to busy to take our order. However, we didn't believe it, because we watched her wait on two other tables after us. The next day I called and spoke to a manager name Blake, and he stated that he would speak with her, and he offered me a gift card. I don't need money, or pity, I just need this situation to be handled. This isn't a place where you want to spend your money, if they're given the option of deciding who they will and want serve. Take your money some where else, like I will. Go to Village Burger Bar, great customer service!

Try the truffle fries!

By JennSkellington |

This was our 1st lunch in Dallas and it was phenomenal. We started off with the parm truffle fries and they were SO good. The burgers we had were the chicken one and the turkey one - both divine. They also have different soda flavors than the average place, vanilla creme was what I had and loved it. Even if you are not into traditional burgers (such as myself) try this place out for sandwiches and salads - you won't be disappointed. Also, our waitress was very good and not pushy - perfect combo.

Best Burguer Ever

By Loren M |

It was the Best burger I had in my entire life! Try the MagicShroom! Also I had the best milkshake of my live called white chocolate raspberry milk shake! I so recommend this place, it's a fun spot in dallas to go with friends-family or couples.

Good...at these prices should be great

By Texzilla58 |

Expensive. Two burgers, two fries, a shake, and a soft drink ...$50 !!! Yikes that's expensive. Real f'n expensive. Why? Because it just wasn't that special. Flavors were flat. Service is very friendly and chatty, great attentiveness. I added a dot just for the service. Most places like this, especially in this part of town, are snooty and high Dallasy, and I was concerned the Austin roots would make it as stuffy as a stuffy. Bravo to the the staff and management. My issue is with flavor. This is high quality meat but it's underseasoned and understated. It would be better flame grilled, but while it was cooked to a perfect medium it needed a hotter seat to carmelize the crust. The Llano Poblano had a sizeable chile, bacon, and chipotle mayo but it had little spice and no smoke in the bacon. It should have been the flavor bomb. Fries with green chile queso were great skinny fries. The queso was gloppier than it should have been and needed way more kick. I hate these fountain drink bars with these fancy sodas. If you want real sugar give me some Mexican coke or imperial sugar Dr Pepper. A disappointment at this price.

Burger Smorgasbord!

By Enjoyinglifethroughadventure |

Too hard to choose a burger so each of us ordered a different one and they were all great! Margaritas were pretty good as well!

Great burgers

By R M |

Burgers are great but the green chili queso on fries are outstanding! Also has nice outdoor seating section.

What an amazing burger place!

By FariasLM |

Even if you are not vegetarian, you must try the Impossible burger. It is 100% meatless yet when you press it, it bleeds. Impossible, right? There you have it for the name.

1st visit wont be Last

By Joel S |

Good bar like atmosphere with TVs and a patio. The burger had good flavor and just enough pink. Fries were good but not special. The employees were very friendly. Only problem was that we couldn't find where to park. Asked inside and the said the parking lot entrance was to the left of the restaurant.

I'll dine again...

By Anne J |

I enjoyed my visit to Hopdoddy. I had the classic burger. It was cooked perfectly and everything was fresh. Also had the truffle fries. Very good and not overboard. I also enjoyed the unique soda selection as well. I'll definitely visit again! The only downside is that it is in an extremely busy area, so parking can be a bear.

Best burger and fries in DFW

By Travler2010 |

Any burger will be a great choice but make sure and get an order of truffle fries, you won't be disappointed!

Great Burgers

By mr2turtle |

Limited menu but a variety of Awesome beef burgers and a variety of fries. Service was good and promptly. Fries were delivered ahead of the burgers, so be mindful of this when ordering. A nice variety of brews.

Nice Place for Burgers and Brews - Even if a Chain

By JTF_1977 |

My partner and I stopped by Hopdoddy Burger on McKinney Avenue when in the area on a Sunday afternoon while on a recent vacation in Dallas. I had actually looked at Hopdoddy a few weeks before for an upcoming trip to Denver, CO but did not realize there was one in Dallas, also. I remember thinking it looked good and we were in the mood for a burger, so why not give it a try. •We got there shortly after they opened, say 11:15 AM. Needless to say it was not crowded and we were seated right away. •The restaurant was nice and clean, trendy, yet casual. •We sat outside on the patio because it was so nice out. Our server greeted us right away, went over the menu and recommended some beers for us to try. We both went with local selections (that I cannot remember the name of), but they were very good. Overall we loved our server, she was very sweet and attentive and made for a very pleasant experience. •I got the Llano Poblano burger at the recommendation of our server. My partner got the Primetime Burger, also at the recommendation of our server. We also got an order of truffle fries with the green chili queso to share. Both burgers were really good - we split them with each other to make sure we tried more than one thing. Not the best burgers we have ever had, but both were certainly very good. •The fries were a different story. They were so good, we actually ordered an additional order to share because we liked them so much. We both definitely recommend the truffle fries with green chili queso! If near a Hopdoddy again, and wanting a burger, we would go back and try some of their other burgers (The Diablo was what drew me initially). The Buffalo Bill also sounds quite interesting and delicious. Are you thinking about stopping by here for a burger and beer? If so, we would give it two thumbs up and say give it a go. We think you would like it.

Fresh and so good!

By tenisheat2016 |

This a hip, cool spot and yes I am not a milinial. The food is fresh and the service is outstounding. The chicken sandwich and parmesan truffles fries are to die for, the foods looks as good as it taste. They have a great patio to hangout with friends and family.

One of the World's Best Burgers

By MysteryLodger |

I was introduced to Hopdoddy's in Austin. I was absolutely overjoyed to hear they had opened in Dallas. If you want to enjoy one of the juiciest burgers and tastiest buns anywhere in the World, you have to do Hopdoddy's. My personal favorite is the simple Classic.

Great Burger and great atmosphere

By 10-4Buddy |

This is a high end burger establishment. Gourmet burgers. Craft beer. Gets busy at lunch hour. Good stuff

Great Service, Great Burger!!!

By Krista W |

I was in town for business and met a coworker and my boss out for a meal here. I wish I remember the name of our waiter because he was incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and extremely attentive. The best service I've had in months! I had the shroom burger with sautéed mushrooms, goat cheese, and a basil aoili and it was devine. We all 3 shared an order of fries and there were plenty. My drink was the alcoholic cherry limeade and it was very tart and refreshing. Entire bill was only $14 for burger and drink. Will definitely be back next time we're in town for business. :)

Great burgers!

By captaingunn |

Stopped in here with the family this week and had a great time. The burgers were really good. The fries were great, too. The parmesan truffle fries had a little bit something more to offer than the kennebec fries, but both were still good. They do offer shakes for people of all ages here, so that's a unique addition to their menu. I like that they grind their own meat and bake their own bread. Makes the meal that much better. The atmosphere is casual; they've got TV and a bar, as well. I wasn't a fan of the sugar cane soda fountain, but that's personal tastes. When you come here, you pick what you want on the menu, then head up to the register to let them know. Then they bring it to you. So it's like fast food, but not so fast. Took a bit to get our meals out, but everything is fresh, so it was all good. I had The Primetimer, and it was delicious. If you're not into the "gourmet" burger scene, you'll only have one option on the menu here (more of a classic cheeseburger). So it's not for people with simple tastes, but it also didn't seem crazy and foreign at all, as places like this are becoming much more common in the city. All in all, it was a great meal. Worth checking out.

My Favorite Burgers

By Thien N |

I've been here countless of times and I really enjoy the burgers here. I usually eat the "Magic Shroom" because I think it is a safe pick. But one that really stood out to me was the Turkey burger. I'm not a big fan of turkey or chicken burger, but on one occasion, I decided to give it a go and it was AMAZING. There is a sense of unity with each bite I took. The taste of the protein, the spices and the bun were harmonized. I am also a big fan of the truffle fries here. Although they may be overcooked and over-salted in some occasions, they are saved by the incredible dipping that the place offers when you order the fries.

Great burger, great shakes

By love2travel0017 |

Burgers are not too big of a patty, which is managable for someone not trying to weigh the size of a cow. They have trendy and typical burger choices, which will appeal to all. I would say, pass on the veggie burger as it is more mushy than most veggie burgers and the regular burger is so much better. The nutella pretzel shake is to die for. Far better than the Oreo one and the green chile french fries are so good!

Burger - Fries - Shakes need I say more?

By KarenKayR1968 |

I had the shroom burger which was perfrectly cooked, pink in the middle, juicy and big. Bun was toasted, fresh lettuce and tomato with the fab field mushrooms. Could have used more cheese but didn't miss it. Love the pop just like Torchys Tacos. Fries were to die for = truffle is fab but there are SOOO many. Shake was interesting and super great. Definitely coming back again. Everyone in my party just loved it,

Great burger experience

By catherine rolland |

One of the best burgers and fries. Choice of sides and condiments exceptional. Grow their own patented potatoes, meat. Etc. top quality. Friendly atmosphere. They also have a huge selection of beers.

Good!

By Lauren Butterfield |

I used to live right behind here and would go often for the veggie burger and the truffle French fries! The place is tasty but a little expensive. Also, parking can be difficult so you might have to park a few blocks away.

Great food!

By Whatwegoingtodotoday |

We went here for lunch while taking a ride in the trolleys. The restaurant and restroom were very clean. We placed our order and got our drinks. Their fountain drinks are an independent version. We tried the orange, diet cola, root beer, and one named Mexicana (if I remember correctly). All of them were said to be good. We sat outside. The fries came out first. We ordered the Parmesan truffle fries and the chile con queso which comes with fries. The fries themselves taste great but are very small. You will end up eating two or three at a time if your dipping them. Both orders were very good. We ordered a classic burger, Magic Shroom, and Buffalo Bill burgers. I was told the classic and mushrooms were very good. I ate the Buffalo. It was very good. If I ate it again, I would take off the sassy sauce and ask for extra Franks!

Good burger

By Samuel N |

I went to the bar and found it nice. Good space and decoration. Not loud noisy so it enjoyable to talk. Several options to eat and some promotions available as well. The fries portions are big and tasty.

Great food and service

By texbambam |

This is one of the best of all the Hopdoddy's I have visited! The food is great but the service we got from BK was astounding. Service makes the experience so much better. Parking can be difficult so plan ahead. And this is a one way street so if you miss it it's a link way around to cone back. Also there is some construction making it more challenging but well worth the trouble. Enjoy your visit!!

Happy HopDoddy! super shakes, fries, and burgers!

By Nancy S |

Great gourmet burger options, from quality beef to lamb and salmon, all served on delicious rolls smothered with toppings. The milk shakes are fantastic, thick and creamy. The fries are hot and crispy, with a garlic topping that's addicting. Everything's YUM!

Fresh ingredients and interesting drinks

By audiocat |

This isn't just another hamburger joint! There are several interesting combinations of breads and toppings to pick from which can be joined with whichever type of burger you prefer… Kobe beef, beef, lamb, veggie, chicken, etc. there also several choices of fries from straight up french fries to sweet potato fries and truffle french fries. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their burger choice as well as the lively selection of happy hour drinks. I'll be going back again!

Amazing fresh burgers

By Lauren E |

This was our second time visiting Hopdoddy and it has consistently been fantastic. Their food is fresh and you can taste it. I highly recommend trying the Maine Root sodas which are made with cane sugar and are fountain sodas. I also recommend adding an egg to the Good Night/Good Cause burger. The servers are helpful and attentive.

Best Burger joint in Dallas

By CHEZHS |

My friend took me to this place recently. I went with a lot of expectation and I was not disappointed. Food tastes really good. There is a lone waiting time, but it is worth the time, I would definitely visit again whenever I find time.

Maybe an off night? Super greasy burger

By Rita B |

We went on a Monday night about 7 pm and had no problem getting a seat for four. The truffle fries were good. The burger I had was super greasy and just not that special or tasty. Two of our group had no complaints other than the wasabi on one of their tuna burgers was too overpowering. Two of us were very disappointed by how greasy they were and my friend said the other Hopdoddy's in Dallas is better.

Great Service & Friendly Atmosphere

By ReidSchool |

The build a pretty great specialty burger. The quality of food was similar to Liberty Burger (DFW area). Save some room to enjoy a shake! They have excellent shakes. Crowd was mostly younger, but we felt at home with our high school kids.

Great burgers, always, anytime.

By tripandtravel |

The least crowded of any Hopdoddy we have ever been in. We are used to long lines and long waits but this Hopdoddy is just walk right in. A little surprised at how long it takes to get your order but when it comes it is the usual great burger and fries. We are used to ordering in line then going to an assigned table but here they seat you and a waiter/waitress takes your order, then sit back and wait. We were there early, mid week with less than 10 people in the place but it took 20 minutes to get our order. Also, they bring the fries right away unless you tell then in advance to hold til the burgers are ready. Not the best Hopdoddy.

Damn Good Burger

By Matt Blum |

I feel like I eat a LOT of burgers as a Texan. They're all pretty good, but it takes that something extra to hit the rank of Damn Good. Hopdoddy is definitely in the damn good league (that's my super secret burger league name now). So good, I didn't actually put it down once I picked it up... Partly due the the amazing egg I had ordered extra for it. So, in conclusion I must apologize for my photo, but state you won't be disappointed by this burger. I rest my case, your honor. Er, you know what I mean. Enjoy!

Love the burgers, beer, fries, and atmosphere!

By shirgirl43 |

Love the burgers...buns are light as air. Don't lie, all the kids at the Preston Center location so try to avoid them by going later In the evening.

Overrated!

By DayDreamer13 |

Okay, this trip we ate here twice, not by my choice, and I am unimpressed by this place. I had the el Diablo burger and it was spicy but did not have a lot of flavor overall. The burgers all seemed to be on the greasy side, which upset our stomachs, which was a total of four of us. My husband had the ahi tuna burger and he said it was swimming in wasabi. The truffle fries were good and the sweet potato fries were good. Beware, the milkshakes are overly sweet.

Loud place!

By CarlosGarza |

A friend highly recommended the place so I decided to take the family on Sunday afternoon. They have free parking which is very good. We sat inside at the beginning but after 10 minutes of having to yell to each other We asked the server to be outside. Only to be seated in front of a loud speaker with music that alters anyone (fast, loud music). I asked the to turn it down a notch and it got better. The food was ok, we ordered the fries and then different types of hamburguers: llano poblano, bandita, continental and I've got the primetime. The burguers were ok, I was expexting better after the good reviews. At least with my burguer I can say I had better....in less loud places....

Fantastic all the way around

By Daniela C |

First of all, the service was FANTASTIC. Our waiter was one of the best I've experienced. The burgers were also amazing. There's flexibility in what you put on your burger too. I took off certain things and added others. My favorite part were the buns. They make them fresh every morning so they were absolutely amazing.

Best burger spot in Dallas...

By gottafly2stsomewhere |

There's a reason there's a line outside the door. The burgers and fries are fabulous, and the shakes divine.

Nice spot for dinner

By aboyer8 |

I enjoyed my dinner at Hopdoddy. The location is great. Nice area to walk around. Lots of cute neighborhoods. I felt safe walking over there by myself The food was good. There are plenty of options outside of beef. If you are a vegetarian, I highly recommend the impossible burger. It's delicious! I also recommend splurging on a shake. The only thing I didn't like was the check-in process. It wasn't a lot of direction. I was handed a piece of paper and pointed to a table. After waiting a while, I figured out I had to order at the counter first. A little frustrating, but easy to avoid in the future when I go back now that I know how it works.

Outstanding burgers and service

By Steve P |

It's easy to find good burgers, they're everywhere. My wife and I considered these Great burgers, and were delightfully surprised. We jumped off a trolley and went in not knowing anything about this chain. Server was excellent, really helped us with the menu. My wife's mushroom burger and my bison burger were both incredibly juicy and delicious. Highly recommend!

Over rated & over priced no table service

By azpatches |

$37 bucks For lunch for two...a burger, a chicken sandwich ( ground chicken, not grilled chix breast the menu doesn’t state this) One order of fries and two soda’s ( knock off brands) you order at the counter, she was rude, the entire vibe there was not customer friendly. Would never return or recommend. The entire dining experience was just a bad idea.

Good burger

By crazydazes |

This is pretty much your typical burger place. The burger, fries, and cocktail I got were good. I had the Thunderbird chicken sandwich. The fries were so good they were gone before I even thought to dip them in ketchup.

Great place

By Tiffany C |

Great food, service not bad, drinks good and location is the best. I will be returning soon. I certainly recommend this place if you love burgers.

Awesome burger joint!

By elfbelf |

Very simply - delicious burgers and fries and shakes. This is a casual sit down festive restaurant and bar with great service and excellent food! You will not be disappointed!!! Located in the heart of Uptown!

Good Food!

By Kristin M |

After going to a Hopdoddy in Austin, we decided to try one here. The fries with the green chile queso are amazing. The milkshakes are AMAZING. We are vegetarians, and at this location, the veggie burger pattie was a little over cooked and dry. The choices for burger toppings are creative and delicious. But they need to cook the veggie patties a bit better. When I ordered it at the Austin location they were delicious. Also, they need to keep an eye outside on their seating. A panhandler was going from table to table. Would definitely go again.

Milkshakes and burgers

By AmiK2 |

After reading the reviews on here we decided to try it out. Glad we did! I had the spinach and arugula salad with bison, parmesean trifle fries and salted caramel milkshake. All were great though I would have liked my bison patty to be a little more done. The table service left something to be desired, but overall the staff was friendly. I'd return the next time we are in town.

Worth the awful Dallas traffic!

By Karl R |

I tried the Primetime. I can easily say that this is one of the best burgers I have ever had. That, the parmesan truffle fries, and blueberry soda made a great meal.

Great burgers and fries!

By Darren D |

Our family went for lunch. Nine of us sat outside and watched the many Porsches, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis drive by. I had the Greek burger, which was wonderful. Family members also ordered the classic cheeseburger with a sunny-side egg on top, the Buffalo Bill, Terlingua, Thunderbird, and Goodnight. Each of us liked our burger, and a few of us made substitutions of items, which is welcomed. We all liked the fries as well. For 9 people, we ordered 4 large fries. The amount was just right. The youngest in our family said, "Can we come back here next week?" Good place.

Good Burger, Good Drinks

By MikeyMackTravels |

The burgers were good. The drinks were really good. The service was average and a bit confusing. They need to change the process of ordering at the counter and then at the table is confusing.

Excellent burger! Big calorie splurge, but worth it!

By Sharon D |

My husband and I always share a burger and after 2 bites, I always wish I had gotten my own! The burgers are fantastics, as are the fries. The milkshakes are phenomenal! I love the way they greet guests and assign you a table while you order. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Say "calories be damned" and go...you won't regret it!

Try the seared tuna burger

By Vlad M |

Pretty hip and busy place with a very nice burger menu. We got dragged here by our friends before the Dallas Big D marathon and there were plenty of options if you're not into burgers. Opted for the seared tuna burger which was delicious and tasted like a california roll. Enjoyed it!

Yes for the Parmesan Fries

By EJsgirl527 |

I had the mushroom burger with goat cheese. It was good. It could use more sauce or something to me, overall I'd give it a 7 out of 10. All of the staff are super friendly. The parmesan fries are delicious. I would definitely go back and try other items.

An Absolute Must!

By Carol |

Easily the best burger and fries I've ever had. My husband and I tried the shroom, and primetime burgers, and the parmesan truffle fries. All were amazing. I especially liked the Shroom burger and the fries. The Parmesan Truffle Fries are an absolute must try.

Great meal

Stopped with the family based on great trip adviser reviews. Was not disappointed. Burgers were very good. Milkshakes excellent. All in all a little expensive for lunch, but I would definitely return.

Lunch with Family

Holy cow want to talk about burgers you never had. The fried are out of this world and the shakes hit the roof.

Pretty Freakin Good Burger!

By Tom M |

Got a jones for a great burger? Hopdoddy's has an answer. Seriously, they have a menu that should satisfy even the most discriminating burger connisuer. Rosemary fries are tasty as well.

Lived up to the billing

By Robert F |

If you like spicy hot the el Diablo is very good, brings the heat but still has great flavor. Great variety/choices. Sweet potato fries are some of the vert best I've every had. Beer choices are also noteworthy. Didn't try any of the other adult beverages but they looked very interesting. A bit pricey but the quality and variety of burgers make it work.

Very impressive burger place!

By STM0041 |

Our party of four went there in the late afternoon on a Sunday and the restaurant was not very busy. We went to the ordering station to place our burger, fries and drink order. What a great array of unusual burger offerings. They has one made with Ghost peppers that would require one to sign a waiver. After making payment for our order, they assigned us to a table where they would deliver everything to us. We thought this was a nice touch and would be especially a great practice at peak times instead of trying to find your own table. Everyone in our party was extremely pleased with our meals. A large order of fries was sufficient for all of us. Burgers were of very good quality and taste. Served on fresh buns we watched them make from our table. Service was friendly and attentive. With drinks, our tab was $64.

Great as usual

By dil345 |

We had never been to this Hopdoddy location but a few others in the Austin area. It was just as good as the others we have been to. It was nice that the person where we ordered repeated the order to be sure it was accurate. When the food was delivered that person took care of refilling our drinks. My only issue is that it is very difficult to find parking in the area.

Hopped Up on Hopdoddy!

By C-02 |

I hope this chain comes to Atlanta!! We enjoyed this upscale burger place and love the concepts they value: organic, green, and gluten free (among others). The servers were friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the background music - which was truly background music in that we could still have a conversation!

Hopdoddy! Need I say more?

By alohasister |

Delicious gourmet burgers! The goodnight is a favorite at our house. The fries are the skinny slightly crisp type. Try the chili cheese dip for an even more satisfying delight. Those fry purists can eat them plain while others indulge. Save room for a shake for dessert! If you've never been to Hopdoddy, here's the deal. While in line, someone will greet you, offer menus, and give you a number. After ordering, find the table with your number and wait while your food is prepared and then delivered to you.

Great burger

By Bill R |

Really cool place in uptown Dallas. Had a bison burger and it was great. Really cold beer with a great selection. The service was very good but it's also why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Our waitress was very good but she did something I never had happen to me before. She grabbed my empty pint glass and just started walking away never asking if I wanted another one. I had to call her back and tell I wanted another beer especially since I did have some of my burger left. She acted like she couldn't wait till we left. Then it dawned on me all she cared about was turning her table. So realizing this we sat there with nothing for awhile just to make her squirm a bit.

Wow!!!

By Trevor O |

Went with two female friends and they were both full from the fries before their burgers even got to the table!!! We planned for the fries to be an app. Good to see that they have a burger in which they donate a dollar from ever one sold to charity!!!

very tasty burger

By dennys34 |

nice burger bar with good tasty food and some fancy drinks - very nice staff - good beer on draft - cool shakes

Great Burgers, Fries and Drinks!

By Kelli R |

Hopdoddy is the BOMB! I've been coming here for years. My favorites are the Ahi Tuna Burger and Continental Club. Great fries and shakes and you must try a Little Larry or a few. :) The Doble Fina and Old Fashioned are made perfectly. Great local craft beers. Other delicious burgers include The Goodnight, Greek Lamb Burger, Llano Poblano, Thunderbird and The Classic Burger. You can substitute any burger for the patty of your choice. Any item you get at Hopdoddy is going to be great! Cool staff and stellar service as well! I'm getting hungry now...

Great burgers

By Chris F |

Originally from Austin, hopdoddy never disappoints. Burger quality is always consistent and tasty. Truffle fries are amazing too, along with great milkshakes. Given great local joints like Balls Burgers are now closed, this has become the top spot to satisfy our burger cravings when in Dallas.

A great meal

By nickinhull |

Me my partner and a friend visited this restaurant recently. We had burgers from the menu and a salad. All the food was well prepared and tasted great. A proper burger place. The price was reasonable too.

Burgers were great

By Mike and Amanda R |

My burger was excellent! I ordered the Thunderbird, a grilled chicken burger with avocado etc. Fresh baked bun was excellent, all tasted wonderful. Ordered the Parmesan Truffle fries, that wasn't as exciting as it sounded. But, service was great, location was easy enough to find. I think I could have found free parking if I tried harder, but we parked right across the street, was happy to not have to walk far in an area I wasn't familiar with. We ate outside, weather was fantastic, no wind, no flies. Would eat here again!

Extremely Overpriced

By Kimberly |

I had the classic with the impossible burger patty 🍔 on a lettuce 🥬 bun. That was all. It was $14.95. I’d expect this in Hawaii, but not Euless, TX, which is the location I visited.

Great kale salad and bison

By Elaina E |

The kale salad was to die for! I added avocado and bison to it which was perfect! One of the best salads I've had in a while! Reasonably priced- Go if you haven't already!

Awesome bar

By Alberto P |

We were unable to get a table at first, then went to the bar and ended up staying there for a few hours. The barmen knew their stuff and was very good. Ended up eating only fries, but they were addictive! Will go back soon to eat some of their famous burgers.

Tuna Burger to DIE FOR!

By Gina O |

But you won't die really, your mind will explode. I was leery going here at first, one of my friends raves about Hopdoddy this, Hopdoddy that...so I was like ugh I don't know. I have had the Mushroom something with amazing goat cheese and it was delicious. I had the tuna burger twice in a week....I craved it. It's actual ground tuna meat and packed in like a real patty....then some kind of wasabi sauce that's not some kind of half-assed sweet stuff, it's the real deal and crunchy seaweed littered on top for texture. This is one of the top burger places in Dallas, and for sure a top 10...I don't know why someone would say just another burger. It's NOT. Very laid back atmosphere and great bar area. Staff is super attentive and very friendly.

Just another burger

By wick1979 |

Very confusing upon entry. You order at the back of the restaurant including beers or cocktails then sit down and be served by a waiter that you can reorder food through or drinks. Burgers are on the salty side with the sassy sauce being awesome love the horseradish. Buns are great and holdup to the juicy burgers. Fries are shoestring style truffle fries lacked any real truffle flavor and the aioli sauce was good but not great. Drink specials were good schooners for $4.

Best Burgers Around

By bubblegum1286 |

I've visited the Hopdoddy locations in Austin many times, but this was my first visit to this particular location. We had a late lunch here on April 29th, and it wasn't crowded at all. On Mondays-Fridays from 3-5, they offer reduced prices on alcoholic drinks and appetizers. They have delicious burgers and craft beers. I definitely recommend the truffle fries- these are the gem of Hopdoddy's. The staff was great, the food came out quickly, and it was all delicious.

Great service, great food

By jazzyphizzle14 |

I visited this burger bar on a tour for the first time and now it is probably in my top 5 favorite burger places. The food is very delicious, burgers cooked to perfection (depending on how you like your meat cooked), and the vibe is wonderful. The service was great as well. The waitresses walked me step by step through ordering my food. I will definitely be going back and trying out more things. I highly recommend this burger bar to everyone wanting to experience a quality burger!

BEST burgers around!

By matt_fvinc |

I absolutely LOVE Hopdoddy Burger Bar! I have been going here for years, and love to take friends and family. Great for lunch or even before a night out. 10/10!!

Great place

By L0tusbeauty |

Even though it was crowded and busy the night I went with my friends. We didn't have to wait in line long. We were able to get in and enjoy out dinner, which was great. The service was even great. My friend wanted a souvenir shirt, and they couldn't get to a shirt, do to the location that they had it store. But they made sure she got her shirt before we left. Overall if you want to go out with friends, this is the place to go, if you don't mind waiting in line for a little bit.

Very nice, friendly place to grab a burger and a drink.

By tj9597 |

Party of 4 and everyone loved their burgers. And the parmesan fries were delicious. We'll for sure be back next time we're in town.

Disappointed

By Dawn A |

I really wanted to like Hopdoddy’s, but my recent visit was disappointing overall. The gluten-free chocolate milkshake was served warm, not cold, and had a strange bitter aftertaste — definitely not what I expected from a place known for shakes. My burger on rye bread was actually very good flavor-wise, but much smaller than I anticipated for the price. The fries situation, however, was confusing and frustrating. Customers should be warned that fries come out separately before the meal, and you have to be careful how many you order. I ordered one, and my sister ordered three for her kids — but we only received two total. When I first asked the waiter whether the bowls of fries were refillable, he just laughed and said, “That would be nice,” before walking off. When our food arrived and we still didn’t have enough fries, my sister asked again. The staff insisted we had only been charged for two orders, but that didn’t make sense — our orders were on two different receipts. Even if they looked at both, the math still didn’t add up. Eventually, they brought out more fries and said they’d comp them, but by then the conversation had turned unnecessarily argumentative. To top it off, by the time all of this was sorted, we still hadn’t received the milkshake. Overall, the food itself had potential, but the service, confusion over the fries, and the unpleasant milkshake made the whole experience more stressful than enjoyable.

Very popular restaurant in Preston Center

By Linda H |

The lines are long for Hopdaddy Burger Bar. Arrive early when they open or even before they open the doors. Customized burgers are the main attraction.

Everything was awesome!

By Maria W |

Stopped at this place without planning and it was a nice surprise. The service was excellent and as well as the burgers and truffle fries. The house margaritas were at point.

Awsome burgers

By bombero15 |

Great spot for a good burger and craft beer. Ask for the specials, I had the "green eggs and ham burger ", it was Awsome . Good atmosphere , young hip crowd

Really good burgers

By bizandfun |

I'm a burger coniseur so I'm picky about my burgers. I have to say Hopdoddy is a new favorite on my short list. Such a good variety and the meat is excellent quality. Will definitely be back.

Delicious! And with gluten free buns!

By Heather D |

My new favorite burger joint in the area! Their burgers and fries were delicious and they even have gluten free buns which will make me a repeat customer!!

Fresh and Good

By flipmc |

I thought this was going to be just another hamburger joint. I was pleasantly surprised. This is now our new go-to hamburger spot. Not only is the meat really really good, but they also make their own buns. The fries were really good and not greasy. The chocolate shake (made with real ice cream) is delicious. I did not care for the oreo cookie shake due to the fact that the cookies were in big chunks at the bottom of the cup and it was like drinking a plain vanilla shake (not what I wanted). The second time I went, I tried the thunderbird chicken sandwich. Again, thought it was going to be another chicken sandwich. Again, I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. Went with a friend and she loved it. She had a raspberry white chocolate shake and said it was really good. The kids loved it.

OH HECK YEAH

By Michael M |

PERFECT in everyway from the fries to the Lamb burger the tres letche milkshake awesome awesome perfect oh and the beer paired with my burger perfect

Good Place/Great Service

By annagevor |

I rated this place 4 because during lunch time it is hard to get a table and although the food is very good, it is not great. They, however, offer vegetarian options and also many selections for red-meat lovers. The burgers are good sizes, but salads are small and will leave you hungry if that is all you are ordering. The wait stuff id great and friendly, very casual and they act as if they know, which is cool. Definitely recommend going here, as long as it is not during lunch time

Great Burger; Fries Not So Much

By wildbillwww |

Hopdoddy Burger Bar is one if the new trendy restaurants in Dallas. Burgers are cooked to order from fresh ground meat. The patties are thick. Several extras can be added as blue cheese, sauces, lettuce, tomato, and others. It's a fun place to eat and watch the crowd. Get there early as it will be crowded.

Good burger - not good gluten free bun

By Traveler7576 |

My husband and I ate here one evening. We had seen lots of people waiting in line on the weekends here and wanted to check it out. We eat gluten free and we were glad they had gluten free buns. The first bite was pretty good but after that the bun totally fell apart and was way too sweet. We just took off the bun totally. The actual burger patty was good and likely better on a regular bun. The fries were quite good though they don't have ketchup on the table! You have to ask for it and they bring you little sample sized containers.

Best shakes in Dallas

By Klagow |

Everyone loves the burgers here, I honestly wasn't blown away by them. That's not to say they're bad because they aren't, they're just normal burgers best I can tell. The shakes however...incredible. I have a pretty serious sweet tooth so I've had my fair share of shakes and these are pretty high on the list.

Not your ordinary burger joint!

By dec0295 |

I'm extremely picky. I love this restaurant! It's always super crowded at dinner & lunch. That's because it's soooo good. Get there early or late to avoid a wait. Great Vegie burger & GF bun! Good truffle fries too.

Awesome burgers

By Dustin F |

They have delicious burgers of all kinds. They also have a burger of the month that is 5$ during happy hour. The happy hour is from 3-6:30 m-f. If you like margaritas they are yummy and cheap during HH

Nice place, vegetarian burger was okay!

By Nalindeepa |

I have been staying on the Mc Kinney ave and yesterday evening we had dinner at home, and we're walking and thought let's try out a new hangout place. We sat outside in open and breeze was nice. We ordered La Bandita burger as that was the only one vegetarian. Is was okay and average. The French fries were nice. Good service and nice staff.

Interesting place very unhealthy food choices

By Travelingczechman |

Not a place to go If your not a fan or grease dripping burgers and fries. I had the black and blue burger and my guest had the standard burger we split the fries and had two waters for 27.00. Everything was dripping grease. Meat did not taste fresh like they cooked it early morning and then microwave after you order. First time I was here probably will not return unless I have a bad hangover and looking for a bad greasy hamburger but McDonalds is cheaper for same quality.

Great Burger!

By DayDreamer13 |

Once again, Hopdoddy proved delicious! We had the El Diablo burger with the Parmesan fries! If the Serrano/habanero slices are too hot for you then you can request them off or on the side. Personally, I loved the hot peppers on the burger and the fries are always awesome!

Some of the Best Burgers Around!

By CynthiaCharleen |

This is a restaurant that thinks "outside of the box" - meaning they are innovative and delicious! The Mushroom Burger and Terlingua are my favorites (this week at least). The onion rings are crispy and plentiful. My grandsons love going to Hopdoddy's. We go after a game, on Saturday morning, for weekday dinner....and almost any time we are in the area. My daughter and her husband always enjoy a "Sip for Grown Folks". It is a fun place to grab a great burger....

One word: milkshake!

By JGPowers |

I have to have a milkshake if I am having a burger and fries. All are good here. Burger is reasonable size and well prepared. Fries are crispy. Shakes have inventive flavors and are thick and creamy.

Last meal I'd eat before I die

By Gumer V |

The best burger I had in Dallas. I had the Primetime with akaushi beef, truffle aioli, caramelized onion and steaksauce. The truffle fries are great and they really have some good beer.

good burger, can be slow tho

By r0gerthealien3 |

its a good burger but sometimes the wait can be too long to make it really worth it. I'd recommend the place

My kids are loving it

By Thenhan N |

The hamburgers are so yummy. The fires are so good that my daughters keep asking me to comeback again. The restaurant is really nice looking.

Limited menu, only craft beer

By Daniel K |

If you love a delicious specialty hamburger and a craft beer or a glass of wine, you will probably love this place. We gave it a three because they dont offer regular american beers like bud light, they dont offer coffee, and their menu is fairly limited. They play music so loud it is difficult to talk at your table. That said, we are older folk, this place is probably loved by younger people. They are adjacent to a parking garage, they have lots of seating, and their restrooms are nice and clean.

Very good!

By Riyad A |

It's not our first time to hopdoddy and we have never been disappointed with the food or the service. Excellent burger, the fries are not as good, the service is extremely nice so as the ambiance. It is a little pricy. Al in all, I do recommend hopdoddy if you are up for a good burger!

peculiar serving rules

By amielp |

I'm not a big fan of Hopdoddy's. The burgers are good but there are tons of great burger places in dallas these days. Unlike the Preston center locale the uptown Hopdoddys seats you at a table and takes your order. We were there on a Friday night and it was crazy busy. LONG wait for everything and the annoying this is they bring out your fries before the burgers. by the time the burgers came out the fries were gone and we ordered another round. Difficult to get our waitresses attention as well (very busy place) all in all the burger was fine but not worth the hassle (and the price) and eating food sequentially!

Great Burger, So so Fries **** Vegan & Vegetarian Friendly ****

By i_am_brendanc |

My wife and I came here after we drove to Dallas from Denton to eat at Da Munchies (they were closed due to family emergency). We had heard they had a vegan option and wanted to try. There is a Hopdoddy in Austin, but the line to get in there is always really long and 1 hours wait. This one located in the "Uptown" area of Dallas on McKinney Ave. was perfect. The location is surrounded by other places to dine, drink and shop. There is even a cable car that passes down this street. We each had The Impossible Burger, it's on the menu and you ask for it to be vegan. It comes with Vegenaise and a smoked cheese. You can also build your own burger and use Impossible Burger. I suspect the fries weren't as fresh as they could have been... There are a few signature drinks on their menu and they also have a fairly well stocked bar. I enjoyed a Green Ricky - this drink includes flavors from Cardamom, Black Pepper and Arugula, it is quite interesting. And my wife had a Pineapple Daiquiri with the Ancho Reyes Ancho Chile Liqueur - it was spicy and delicious, but a bit on the sweet side (So I drank it to.) Overall this was a pleasant experience and we will do it again.

Delish

By SonG3 |

This place is so good that I’m surprised I had not heard of it before. The atmosphere, the food and the drinks were all fabulous. I had the Llano Poblano without the sauce along with rosemary fries and a Pineapple Daiquiri. Everything was flavorful and tasty. I loved every bit of it and cannot wait to go back. Everyone at this location was friendly and the restaurant is at a nice location on the corner with a free garage next door. At least it was free on the weekend. I’m not sure about during the week. Regardless, this place is definitely a must do spot to visit. My only question is it pronounced Hop-Daddy or Hop-Dodd-y?

Popular Burger Spot

By JA_TX_1 |

Word of mouth was this was the place to try for good burgers. I had the Goodnight burger and I was very pleased with it. My wife got the Diablo with the chiles on the side. I sampled the chiles and they would make for a very hot burger. Also had the Nutella shake which was excellent!!! 10/10

Great Burger Place

By BigZee07 |

Hopdoddy's is an absolutely delicious treat for those into unique burgers. Many choices to choose from and is reasonably priced. Service is good and if you can, go during happy hour for both food and drink specials!

Great place for a burger

By Bosse E |

We decided to sit inside because of all the birds on the outside. Very positive greetings and a nice booth by the Window. The crowd was loud but in a good mood. Some great Beers on tap very good burger With everything inklusive piller pork!!

Seeing an old friend

By bap0802 |

Excellent food, friendly staff, cold beer and clean bathrooms. The kale salad and Terlingua burger are amazing.

Better luck next time on choosing the right burger.

By DayDreamer13 |

Luckily we got here early enough on a Saturday morning that the place was pretty empty. They only had a few tables going so at that time they were full service. Unfortunately our waitress was not very good on taking our order. We asked for an ice tea and didn't get it, we asked for a hot water and didn't get it, and we asked for a shot of simple syrup and we didn't get it. It took another worker to get our drink order correct. Next we had the baby kale salad and the spinach/arugula salad to start. We all preferred the spinach/arugula salad the best. Funny, but we all chose the Primetime burger and truffle fries. Well the waitress brought one of our fries with the salad course and the other couple's fries arrived with the hamburgers...bizarre! The Akashi beef had a bit of a strange flavor to it that some of us didn't like. Personally, I wouldn't order that burger again but I would try another kind of burger. The truffle fries were delicious and the truffle aioli was also good, but the fries were so good we all preferred the fries without aioli or catsup. Overall, I'd give it one more shot.

Great New Taste, Frosty Blondes

By TLShehan |

Yep, our first trip to Hopdoddy and we are sold! No sooner had we walked in we were greeted and provided an overview of how things work. The energy is wonderful, the ordering process is quick, and the burgers are some of the most interesting and flavorful I have ever tasted; seriously, this place along with the truffle fries are killer! Then our beers arrived...our Bubbly Blondes were delivered in a schooner goblet. And they were North Pole COLD! Best of all, it was happy (or Hopdoddy) hour! A great experience...now I'm suddenly hungry...see you there!

Magical!!!

By shelton71 |

OMG this is the best burger I have ever had!! I had the Goodnight Good Cause burger and it was beyond amazing. We also had the green chili queso with fries. Again, they were awesome. The sangarita from the at was awesome too! If you love burgers and visit Dallas, you must come here!!

great fresh flavor

By gmoscolp |

I am a Dallas local and still to me Hopdoddy makes the best, freshest and tastiest burgers in town. I have tried many of their options and still the greek with lamb and feta and the regular hourse burgers with foie gras fries are both memorable. If you go during happy hour (M-F 4-630) you can also get some $5 margaritas and do you wallet a favor... enjoy!

A 10 burger every time

By Y5958EVeduardob |

Consistency, quality, flavor and wow factor. Love this place. My go to burger destination in Dallas for the last year. Staff is super friendly, good selection of beers, fries are to die for. Please try the parmesan fries! They make the bread at the location, have their own butcher for the meat and the result is just a magnificent burger. If you do not want to have red meat they offer a great chicken, turkey and an incredible ahi tuna burger. You got to go visit this place now!

Love, Love, Love

By nmb16 |

Great food and atmosphere. Have beenstuck on just eating the mushroom burger, but tried the El Diablo and it was spicy and juicy. A must do!

Open late

By CDBAlbq |

Great burger done exactly right. And friendly service that doesn't rush you even when it's getting close to closing.

Great Burger in Dallas Neighborhood

By arkansas59 |

My wife and I eat at the Hopdoddy in Preston Center often. It is one of the three or four best burgers in Dallas and with the cold mug of Craft beer (Revolver Blood & Honey) its hard to beat. Very nice interiors with comfortable booths and chairs. Food is always fresh and the meat excellently flavored and cooked. For those who have the extra room or who can stand a few extra pounds the milkshakes are hard to beat.

Best burget in town

By naty933 |

You can't go wrong with any of the items on this menu.. everything is great.. the restaurant is always full because the food is excellent.

Best burger spot in town!

By Suzanidoo |

Great burgers and fries, fabulous shakes (including the grown up ones!) Comfortable and casual, family friendly, always clean. Very fresh ingredients. We are so lucky to have Hopdoddy close to our house. The only knock is it can be challenging to find a good parking space.

Great burgers, fries and shakes

By Michael S |

This restaurant, right on McKinney Avenue, has good ambience, friendly staff and great service. The ordering system is unusual - you place your order at the counter, they tell you which table to sit at and bring your food to you - but it works well. The burger was not the best burger I've ever had (the meat seems to have been minced very fine and it had little texture) but it was tasty. The vanilla shake, however, was simply awesome. The restaurant has free Wi-Fi.

Stepped-up burgers

By carlabZ3303FD |

I've eaten here several times and am never disappointed. It's not a standard burger and fries place. They have a good variety of meats and excellent salads. My go to is a bison burger on a baby kale salad. The salads aren't just sideshows; they are really well done. Great spot -- if you go before the line snakes out the door.

Sunday Lunch

By vacationeverysummer |

Arrived early expected a line before opening outside but was surprised we were first there. It was about 10 minutes before opening and hostess invited us in and sat us. Come to find out this location is the only Hopdoddy you get seated and order from table with server. You do not go to counter and order. Had El Diablo and Primetime with truffle fries. Food was great along with service.

Really cool place great burgers and margaritas

By skoumpas |

Very easy going place, nice staff and cool atmosphere. Amazing truffle fries! Good variety of burgers and nice margaritas. Good for group of friends
