Ok not great

Went to the Mandalay Bay to the House of Blues and got the Omelet. Food was good but service was lacking.

Value Service Atmosphere

By Michael B |

This is the best breakfast experience so far. Server was fantastic. Food was great. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

Great food!

By MemphisLove2travel |

I really enjoyed my dinner here last week. We ordered the cajun chicken pasta and some wings. The food was delicious and the service was Great.

Try the Cajun Chicken Pasta!

By Lynette51 |

We went not sure what to expect but it exceeded our expectations. I recommend getting there around 4:45 as there were only two other guests eating. But by 5:15 pm it was getting very busy. I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was delicious and huge portion! My husband had the pull pork and he said it was good. Very reasonable prices and good service. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent Food & Drinks

By Sue C. |

Great for breakfast, lunch & drinks. The prices are reasonable & the food & drinks were excellent along with the service. My husband and I were staying at the Delano so the first morning we enjoyed breakfast at the HOBs. Our waitress was Aune and she made sure we had plenty of coffee. My husband had the Country Skillet with bacon and I had the Avocado toast. Both entrees came out quickly and both were very fresh & full of flavor. We also enjoyed having lunch at the bar several days later. Our server & bartender was Corey. My husband had a hurricane and I had a Mojito. We also tried the skillet Mac N Cheese which was excellent. Since the breakfast was so good & they open at 7am daily we had breakfast here 2 more times. Our waitress was Rebecca for these to meals. Again the food and service was excellent. My husband tried the Rock & Roll with Sausage & the last day he had the breakfast sandwich. I had the Waffles for both days because they were so good. On our last day we asked Rebecca if the kitchen could prepare any sandwiches to take on the airplane. We both got Chicken Biscuit Sandwich. Even though we ate the sandwiches hours later the Chicken was Excellent.

Disappointed in the new menu

By Peter B |

Super disappointed in a recent trip. Used to be one of my go-to spots in Las Vegas during every trip. Now they took my favorite item off the menu in the jucy lucy burger and ruined what used to be my favorite chicken dinner in the world by changing it to a couple of hot chicken strips with fries and slaw for $28. Oh well, plenty of other places to try in Vegas.

Solid Food and Experience

By JeffPNW |

We didn't expect to eat at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay but we ended up hungry while walking the strip and we were in the mood. We were in Vegas during January during a slow week and it wasn't busy at all, at Vegas or the House of Blues. We were seated immediately and a server was at our table extremely quickly. We both had drinks, I had a beer and my wife had a cocktail. Both were great. We weren't over-the-top hungry so we didn't have a side instead deciding to go with entrees. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits and it was awesome (Picture attached). Very flavorful, a great sauce the grits were perfect. I had the smoke chicken salad and it was good, though .... I never found the chicken. I told the server who said that it is mixed in but I still couldn't find it. He offered to get me another order of chicken but I told him it wasn't a big deal and the salad was very good as is. And it was. Not over the top good but very solid. Portions aren't huge but respectable and we didn't leave hungry. No music was playing at the time but after walking around for a while, we came back when a local talent was playing and we enjoyed a beer at the bar. For place with "Blues" in the name, he musician didn't play blues but mostly older country songs. I went up and requested some blues songs but he didn't know any of them. He was great anyway and it was a good time. Our big disappointment was, although we were told Carlos Santana would be there that week and we anxiously looked for tickets, it turned out he was playing the week AFTER we left. We would have seen that show for certain. The House of Blues isn't anything over the top special but the food is solid, the ambiance is good and we'd come back if we were in the area. It's far more of a convenience restaurant than a destination.

Food was awesome

By Staci S |

We were seated quickly, food was fantastic and drinks were tasty. Server was friendly and efficient. The Roxy Gunn project was playing while we were there and they were fantastic. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was really good. Only odd experience was the staff member cleaning the bathroom, talking to me while I pee’d!

Had breakfast here one morning as I walked over from the Luxor. The place was packed for breakfast. Getting ready for the football games, I guess. Food was good.

Great end to Vegas vacation

By Roy Bracey |

On a recent visit to Vegas with my wife.....we ventured to HOB for their Sunday Gospel Brunch. There are two time slots to choose from (10:30am and 1pm). The 1pm seems to be the most popular for obvious reasons. So pick which one works best for you. The food for the brunch.....WOW....so many choices. All you can eat....or just dabble with your favorites. The duration is about 90 minutes...so don't waste time. The entertainment was stellar. Please not that this a gospel brunch. If you are uncomfortable with Religion or don't like a display of religion...try brunch somewhere else. But if you like/love gospel....this is a must on your visit. The Sons of Soul were the feature artist and they are very entertaining, with great voices. You must sample the chicken and waffles too.

Good food and large portions

By witaggar |

Everything we got at a table of four was very good to excellent. The portions where quite large and two people could easily share the dishes we ordered. The service was excellent.

Many photos added. Skip it for lunch

By NitroDog |

Located in Mandalay Bay. Skip it for lunch. Should have gone to McDonald's for better food, if that is saying something. Tourist trap. My wife and I both ordered a burger with fries. Two different styles and both were not good in any way. I would give this a huge pass for lunch. Many photos added and I will not return.

Chicken Fried Steak

By rookie1231957 |

I had the Chicken Fried Steak and it was very dry. The batter mix that was on it just fell off. The mashed potatoes were very dry also. It was a blob of meat sitting on a stack of potatoes. No Gravy! The service was good and the waiter was very polite.

Not the best but OK

By Compass301133 |

The service really was below expectations. We had to move to get waited on. When we did - the Brussel sprout appetizer was GREAT! But we had to flag the server each time. They really need to get organized. If you have patience- food is good. And the music was really good as well. Nice atmosphere.

Good lunch

By Browneyedgirl1987 |

We wondered over to Mandalay Bay and decided to try this place. The line was long but we were called in almost immediately as they had a 2 top available. Their mojito was very refreshing and my husband had one of their burgers ( honestly cannot remember the name) and I decided to try the shrimp po boy. I have never in my life had a po boy. I absolutely loved it. The most savory flavor and had a ton of shrimp. Definitely a must if you go.

House of No Blues

By Laura M |

Great casual spot to eat. Great music. The staff was really nice and efficient. The bathroom was clean. Drinks were very generous on the alcohol content. Food was hot, tasted great.

Tasty Food

By Kristine M |

Food is very good but also depending on what you get. Their take on Shrimp and Grits is very good. Right amount of heat on that dish. One of my favorites Voodoo Shrimp is amazing, I'm so glad they brought this appetizer back. Caesar salad dressing not very good, did not taste like a traditional Caesar. Service is always pretty good here but not really exceptional. The service in the gift shop was exceptional.

Excellent Breakfast

By Titannia99 |

We had a great breakfast here on our first morning. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I always order eggs Benedict wherever I go and this was one of the best. The hollandaise sauce was amazing. Highly recommend this place.

So good

By Rebbekka |

We had voodoo shrimp w jalapeño cornbread, gumbo, jambalaya and country fried chicken w/ coleslaw and mashed potatoes. All were delicious. My favorite hands down was the voodoo shrimp and cornbread. We have decided that house of blues will be a place we eat when in vegas.

Good food! Great service!

By Dubs |

Great food (breakfast & dinner). Efficient service. Priced adequately. Good location if you’re staying at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Would definitely visit again.

Ryan was a wonder waiter.

By Andrea P |

Ryan was a wonder waiter. We had him for breakfast and lunch during our stay in the Mandalay Bay Delano and he was the most welcoming waiter to wake up to greet us and also for our lunch. I would highly recommend House Of Blues and ask for Ryan. He will make you feel like your vacation was well worth the experience. Good customer service is hard to find.

Fantastic experience; BEST customer service in Vegas

By ISUROX |

Tom was our server. He brought us a pitcher of water, a caraffe of coffee, checked in with us regularly, and even let us hold the table for our friends who were supposed to meet us but didn't end up making it. Top notch breakfast as well.

Terrible Food

By terry m |

We had one of their signature hamburgers and it came out like shoe leather. I should have sent it back, but I struggled through it. It also seemed like the French fries were kept under a heat lamp and were dried out. All I could say is buyer beware.

Great start to first night in town!

By ThefhFoody |

Everything was great! Our hostess seated us promptly and with a smile. Our server was Cameron and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, which really helped us in our dinner selections. The food was served with a smile in a timely manner and delicious! Best burger I have had in so long! My friend had the margherita flatbread which was tasty and perfect amount of roasted garlic. The manager Casey came by to check on us and to make sure we were enjoying our meals. She was so nice to stop by our table on such a busy night. The band was good but too loud for the dinner hour. Great experience!

Loved it

By Yarilicea22 |

Everything is amazing! Cameron was our server and the service was spectacular. I ordered the bbq chicken salad and my boyfriend ordered the jambalaya, both were fantastic. The venue is nice and relaxed. We enjoyed our experience. Thank you Cameron!

Our Favorite Restaurant

By Jnuakbear |

We would have breakfast each morning at the House of Blues. The Smash Burger was outstanding and we ordered that 2 times. Customer service was also great.

Good breakfast

By Hitcher84 |

Chicken and waffles were excellent. Really fluffy waffles. The omelette was nice. Good atmosphere and good service. Would recommend.

It's The Blues, Baby.

By markmillieramon |

Located in Mandalay Bay, this is a world class attraction for many reasons. Top flight entertainers wail here. The decor is eclectic to the max., sort of a voodoo cave with catholic imagery splashed around. The food is southern and delicous. I had a breakfast plate with eggs, sausage, and the best grits I've ever had. Try the bloody mary, it's awesome. The place is basically a museum, paying homage to the great music that came out of the south. And with great food to boot.

Ok

By BeverlyB638 |

This was an experience. The music was too loud. The food was not good. Came cold to the table wait staff very unconcerned with us. Ok for the name but that would be about it

Gospel Sunday brunch is the best

By midas7908 |

Went here for the gospel Sunday brunch And I must say well worth the money. The food was out of this world chicken waffles and all you can eat of shrimp and salads help yourself to your tummy is full. The acts are amazing on stage singing and dancing around

Great service and food!

By Plavusha777 |

Really great staff, especially waiter Bruno who was super nice and professional! Food is delicious and prices reasonable. Live music during dinner contributes to a great atmosphere! :-)

Good food and drink

By Diabla454 |

Really good mojitos. Their "Voodoo Shrimp" dish is delicous. I ate there twice during my stay in Vegas. Friendly bartenders. I ate at the bar one night and happened to be sitting next to the keyboard player for Carlos Santana who was also having an early dinner. He and the bartender were fun to talk to. Very attentive service. The Voodoo shrimp is a home run.

Blues Booze and BBQ sums it up!

By maranville826 |

Stopped by here 3x over 3 days while staying at the Delano. Ee did brekfast Lunch and Lunch. Great food all 3x. The Juicy Lucy Sandwich and the Carolina Mess appetizer were terriffic. Glad we stopped by.

Sat and forgotten

By John R |

I really liked this restaurant and the few times I've been here, but the last time I was here they sat me and my party of four in the back room and promptly ignored us. We sat for fifteen minutes and then finally flagged someone down. Food was good, I suppose, but being ignored really soured the experience.

Fun place, awesome server, good value

By thetravelorganizer |

We had an AWESOME server...which definitely had a positive impact on our overall dining experience. Everything was tasty, from the dynamite shrimp appetizer to the strip steak. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and serving size. It can be quite noisy (it's Las Vegas, after all!); we weren't bothered but I do want those who read this review to have realistic expectations. House of Blues is a fun dining experience rather than an intimate date night setting.

A great breakfast spot

By 1961GaryC |

We often had breakfast here on our recent stay at Delano. Had a great dinner here on a previous visit so hoped breakfast would be as good too. No such problems and service, food and price were all really good every time. Missing the Ham and Cheese Omelette and Rock n Roll Breakfast now we're back across the pond.

Best breakfast for our family!

By Mary C |

The breakfast was delicious!! We ordered overnight oats, kids pancakes, eggs Benedict. The service was great!! Everything came out perfect!

Good Ribs

By RedShoesNottingham |

We came here specifically for the ribs and they didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly, and it was a nice environment with live music.

Very nice restaurant with good ambiance.

By Milamberr |

Walked past this place in Mandalay Bay several times before coming in. It is kinda has the feel of a hard rock, but limited to blues. Cute little gift shop you have to pass in and out. Excellent food. We missed the music, so I can't rate that, but they were starting to set up.

Rude

By Tula A |

My mom called a day a head of time and stated there will be approximately 10 of us is that possible to make it happen. They said yes business has been slow so no reservations needed. We were doing a lunch time. They waited until all of us were there to seat us. They proceeded to give us 2 tables away from each other. So as we turned the tables a waitress who clearly did not want to take care of us told us we need to turn the tables back we can’t put them together. We did however most of us wanted to walk out of the place just because she watches us do it wait until we all sit down to tell us rudely to put it back. Then all of a sudden a lady goes o I can get you all together down here. Well you could of done that from the start. Our new waitress tried her best however the sour taste was already in our mouths. We ordered and WOW none of us liked the food. Now just a year ago we all loved it so not only did they change the menu they changed whomever is cooking it. It was so disgusting. We literally was passing food all around. Now I was going to tip this waitress 30% just because of the chick (I usually tip 25% regardless) but then we look upon the bill and see automatically 18% gratuity was added and then they give a suggestion tip scale at the bottom. So beware when you go to look on the bills because even a 2 person bill it was on. They are trying to double tip. After seeing that and how bad the food was that’s all the young lady got. I felt bad but my bother and mom said they would handle it. Usually no matter what I handle the tips because I know how little my family tip (10-15%) . This threw us all off but I can tell you where we aren’t going back to next year. FYI our family annually goes to Vegas however some of us go more than once a year.

Great Place for Food & Entertainment

By pajawa |

We stopped at the Mandalay Bay hotel for a few weeks and kept finding ourselves here most evenings for food and drink. The food is fantastic do note the portions are HUGE including the so called Appetizers. The service is prompt and friendly and on one evening we sat down for dinner to discover Santana on stage! So we stayed for some time after eating and had a few, too many, I may add, drinks. Fantastic evenings spent here!

Average food/service, Great music

By Dan L |

We visited here as a party of 6, and had a relatively enjoyable meal. The live music almost made up for what was rather lacklustre but enthusiastic service, and reasonable food. As the order wasn’t written down, only one of 2 starters were actually noted and received, and drinks took an age to be brought to our table, even though the restaurant wasn’t even half full. The staff were also very slow to remove plates/cutlery/empty glasses, yet it seemed that there was a lot of staff standing around not doing much? The saviour for the House of Blues was the entertainment, and the food was of a reasonable quality and price. Our server was very enthusiastic and chatty, just lacked some service skills that perhaps are required in such a place. Would try again, maybe we just caught the restaurant on an off-day. The jambalaya was particularly nice, if not a little spicy!

Southern cooking

By Mike D |

Okay we had to try this restaurants just by reading the menu.. I had the shrimp Po' boys and it was fantastic delicious.. so good I could have eaten one more.. the two kids and two other adults with me had hamburgers and they all enjoyed them..

Great service and food, and less expensive than the other restaurants in the resort

By Andrea F |

Food was great as was the service. Was less expensive to eat here than at some of Mandalay Bay’s other restaurants. Right now because of COVID, they do not allow carry outs; so as a solo person, I had to eat at the bar. I ate dinner here twice and breakfast here one morning, as it was not crowded as the other places (and found their Eggs Benedict to be better than at SeaBreeze Cafe in Mandalay Bay). The bartenders pour a perfect drink—not too strong and not weak.

Our experience

By Javier Mauricio O |

My girlfriend and I went to Sabrina Claudio concert at the house of blues and decided to stop in for dinner on our date. Our sever was Cameron and boy was he great! He explained everything very well and made some great suggestions. I enjoyed a wonderful old fashioned cocktail that was pre batched and aged for several days. My girl had the Cadillac margarita which she couldn’t stop talking about all night. The wings were our appetizer and they were awesome! The food was incredible as well as the experience and atmosphere!

Gospel Brunch

By Rory James DOYLE |

Not much opportunity in Las Vegas to listen to Gospel music on a Sunday morning but a good choice is the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay hotel.

Convenient Dinner

By trooper198 |

In Vegas with friends staying at Mandalay Bay hotel. We made reservations using open table. When we arrived we were seated right away. Tables were alittle small for a party of 4. They bring out a grip of food. The messy fries (not the menu name ) were fantastic. Almost a meal. The fried chicken was also fantastic. Hot juicy and very crispy. Way to full to order dessert.

Music & atmosphere was great.

By Ms M |

Great place to hear music and be with friends. Live music until midnight. Staff was great but they can work on their menu.

Great spot for lunch

By Jason M |

After checking out the Shark Reef, we were looking for food options nearby... It had been a number of years since we were at a HoB, so gave this one a try. Reasonably priced, and the food was tasty. I was looking for something light, so I tried the mushroom tacos.

Fantastic

By ChilliLondon |

We were a group of 6 girls dining at House of Blues. It was a little quiet in the restaurant on a Wednesday night, but a guy was playing music on the guitar which was great, and the food was just fabulous, the Jambalaya was delicious as were everything we ordered! the service was great and our waitress gave us tokens to access the rooftop bar in Mandalay which was fantastic.

My Go-To Place for Breakfast

By Sherri T |

I accompanied my daughter to a conference in Las Vegas and we stayed at Mandalay Bay. There are plenty of coffee shops, however, I want refills with my coffee. Day one we tried House of Blues. We had seen an ad for a $9.99 breakfast (pretty cheap in a resort setting). It turns out it is only available during the week. We ended up getting their Rock and Roll Breakfast and splitting it. It has 3 eggs, 4 strips of bacon, a generous portion of hash browns and toast. And the coffee was wonderful! The next 2 days while she was in meetings, I did get the $9.99 breakfast, which requires a beverage purchase (duh, coffee!) Every morning they were quick to bring coffee, did not gripe when I needed milk for my coffee, and brought the food promptly. Only twice out of five days did a slice of bacon come out under-done. We had five different servers and they were all amazing. If you go, you can ask for Mary Ann, Joanne, David, Annie, or Pablo and get excellent service!

The food was just ok...Entertainment for the night was excellent!!

By Hadnot74 |

Nice environment to relax in. Great atmosphere. The food was average, the service was ok, but the entertainer for the night, Cameron was excellent. We didn’t have reservations so there was about a 20 minute wait on a Wednesday night.

Not Bad

By Darryl G |

Good food, decent service. Las Vegas is not known for great food, generally speaking, but the food here was good. Their franchise in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has better food and bands, but the one in Vegas was okay.

New Orleans feeling

By SSDNY |

We had breakfast few times and stop for drinks few evenings. Food was good. Service was excellent. That’s was always line up in the morning for breakfast.

For breakfast, average food & poor service

By robert4travel |

We ate here for breakfast around 11 am or so. Place was pretty empty, still it took a long time for the server to show up, take our order, and then more than half an hour before our food finally came. And the breakfast food was just OK / not bad at best. Nothing special. Of course these are Vegas prices so it was expensive as well. We had better service, better value and much better food at the IHOP two miles south of Mandalay Bay on Las Vegas boulevard. Bottom line: don't go here for breakfast.

Me Cascarino

By Peri C |

Had a meal here last night and the quality of the meat is poor! 2 guys had the ribs and the meat was very tough, ribs should just fall away these are just churned out with a care. The “crispy wings” were not much better just damp and uninteresting. To top that it was like $230 for that… yea not good guys gotta give that meat time to cook.

Cool Atmosphere Average Food

By Elli E |

I had a Juicy Lucy burger. It was just ok. The Carolina Mess appetizer was very good! The menu is not very extensive and there’s not a whole lot to choose from. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Maybe it’s just because of this covid mess, but it seemed a little lackluster in my opinion.

Great Cajun Food

By Mark R |

Last night we went to the House of Blues Restaurant. The Food there is mostly Cajun style. Everything we had was outstanding. I highly recomend it to anyone visiting Vegas.

Hit the spot after traveling all day

By misspatrick1977 |

Traveled all day and needed to eat. Husband and I ordered the rib dinner. All I can say is WOW! Smoky taste is amazing, beans are excellent, and well the cornbread gives Yardbird a run for its money. Portions are big & service is exceptional. We will be stopping back for breakfast.

Very nice

By David S |

Enjoyed this place twice for breakfast and enjoyed it both times. It's open at 7 a.m. with solo diners sitting at the bar. The service was very quick and friendly and was always offered a to-go cup. The food was hot and fresh and of high quality. I also had lunch one day it was very good. It's easy to find a seat at this place.

Nice breakfast!

By Joe C |

We visited here for breakfast, our first time visiting, and what an impressive restaurant. Firstly it is huge, and cool décor, like an old warehouse or brewery. Service was really good, fast, efficient and really friendly. We opted for Breakfast Omelettes, Pancakes and Steak & Eggs – everything was really nice, tasty and good value – with huge portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would certainly return again!

Miserable greeting upon entering!

By Paul C |

Booked for an evening meal. When entering the restaurant was greeted by 2 girls that were miserable and rude...so not a great first impression. Food was ok & waitress was helpful. But please sort your front of house out asap

Best place for breakfast in Vegas!!!

By LoveZumba |

Came here for breakfast every morning (five times) and had the pleasure of being served by Ryan who has to be the nicest most friendliest server we have encountered in Vegas by far. Not only was he sweet and cheerful, on our last morning he knew what we were going to order (we are creatures of habit) and before we knew it our drinks were on the table. Bfast is really really yummy and the kids got 3 huge pancakes with fruit for $5!! Given everything else in Vegas is a rip off this place provided us amazing service AND value for our hard earned $$!! Come and try it out - you won’t be disappointed.

Good breakfast

By Bertha55 |

I ordered the chicken and waffles breakfast. I enjoyed it. I had enough chicken to take some back to the hotel. The flavor was great. The waffles were delicious with the bourbon maple syrup also. My husband had the breakfast special. The bacon was good and crispy. He added a side of grits and they were good too! I will go back again next time I’m in Vegas.

Breakfast NOT so special

By Dlboosh |

Stayed at Delano and went to the HOB’s for their breakfast special after a family workout. $8.99 usual bacon and eggs. Sorry but terrible. Why bother?? Bacon sitting around, eggs over easy, one was hard other fine. My sons two over easy both really watery. AND our toast ... cold burnt and hard as rock. Home fries over cooked burnt. I absolutely would not recommend breakfast here . Should have went anywhere else!!

Delicious breakfast

By Katherine P |

Located in the Mandalay Bay near the sport book. Decided to eat breakfast here and was pleasantly surprised with the options. We had the chicken and waffles, vanilla bourbon French toast and the rock and roll breakfast. Chicken and waffles- the waffles were very light and fluffy. Chicken was lightly breaded chicken strips. I asked for both the syrup and the gravy on the side. The vanilla bourbon French toast was a bread pudding made into French toast. It wasn’t too sweet and had a nice crust on the edges. The rock and roll breakfast was your typical 3 eggs, hash brown and bacon, sausage or Canadian bacon breakfast. Food was great and service was quick and friendly. Wouldn’t mind going back to try their lunch/dinner menu.

To try.

By JoHamel |

We were staying at the Delano so we went to eat there since it was convenient. Finally an excellent place. I had a Cobb salad and my husband had the half rib. Everything was very good. House white wine at $10 so very reasonable. I recommend it.

Great lunch option!

By Tiffany Wilkes |

We needed a quick lunch option near our resort (Delano), so stopped into the House of Blues for a bite to eat. There was a 30 minute wait to get a table, but the bar was wide open, so our party of three chose to sit and eat at the bar. I ordered the chef salad, another party member ordered the chicken sandwich, and other party member ordered the loaded nachos. Everyone's food was delicious! Bartender was not super-attentive (we had to call for him whenever we needed anything), but also was not neglectful.

SANTANA

By SistersOfMercy24 |

SANTANA! Legends never die! And to witness this Legend was such an experience! The best part was the drum solo with Cindy

Good Food, Convenient Location

By MotorOn2 |

We ate here before seeing Santana at the House of Blues. It’s right next door, so very convenient. It’s also convenient for the Michael Jackson O Show, which is nearby. The food was good, although a couple things a little spicy for me, but not overwhelmingly so. I had the baby back ribs, and there were so yummy. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Breakfast two days in a row

By IrishRover |

Stopped in for breakfast two days during these covid times. Try the grits skillet with bacon eggs and cheese. Its very good. Second day had the eggs, hashbrown and bacon special. Worth the try

Good option for a Lounge/Nightcap

By NM |

This is a great spot for live music and cocktails drinks. Food was not that good. Was hoping for the food to match the atmosphere but did not enjoy it. Sorry HOB's!

Excellent breakfast

By bobo |

I have to say we had an excellent breakfast at House of Blues restaurant. It was one of the few restaurants open in Mandalay Bay and sometimes the line/wait to get in was long. But once in, it was nice. The 5 of us had to split into two tables duet to their Covid policy, just FYI. I recommend to get a reservation ahead or at least expect to wait until seated.

Can't Get Enough of the Blues

By Vic777_12 |

It is always a treat to stop in at the HoB in Vegas. Sporting many interpretations of traditional Southern dishes, HoB finds a way to change it up a bit. The fried chicken is to die for. The salads are huge (I think everything is huge here) and the service is always great. Worth the walk or the Uber.

Ate here twice & food is amazing 👏 😋

By misspatrick1977 |

Husband and I ate here twice during our stay. Sat at the bar both times and had wonderful service. They open at 0700 for breakfast. Portions are large as we split food on both visits. The ribs are fantastic and come with beans, coleslaw, and cornbread. Bacon is very crispy and prices are typical vegas. Be sure to stop.

completely average

By cometexp |

First of all, it took us 10-15 minutes after we were seated for anyone to walk up. We ordered a Coffee and a Latte. I didn't think we would ever get them. We had to keep asking the waitress, Terra for everything, creamer, sweetener. Our meals of Eggs Benedict and the Blueberry Pancakes came. The blueberries are cooked into the Pancake which my daughter clearly hated. The waitress again, stubbed her nose and left. We didn't see her again until she was ready to bring our check. I can't image anyone enjoys this kind of service so I must have had a bad waitress on a bad day. Total cost of the meal was $38.16

Eh, it’s ok

By John |

Grabbed a quick lunch between meetings at the convention center. Service was good, food was typical of a chain restaurant. Wasn’t terrible but no lasting memories. Many choices of exceptional food in Las Vegas, this isn’t one of them. Nothing bad, just believe I’ll venture elsewhere next time.

Mains are delish, sides and desserts are whatevs

By gem58416 |

Had a chicken sandwich, The Yardbird. Very delicious, like really really good. The fries were whatever, but after tasting the sandwich I didn't care about the side anyway. Also was not impressed by the dessert so I guess the main is saving the entire review, because it was amazing.

Amazing food

By Jojo165 |

We split a pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing. Good was outstanding and the service was good too. Great atmosphere.

Just drinks or a meal ...

By Christine M |

Great place with options to pop In and enjoy a beer or cocktail in bar area with live Music or head into restaurant for a great hearty meal with several Southern options and again live music! Great decor that in its self it’s enjoyable just to see everything there is to see! Families couples or even on your own you couldn’t go wrong stopping in here

Good Food

By dv2g |

We had a flight to catch later in the day so decided to eat something here..GREAT choice on our behalf I would say..Try the voodoo Shrimp..yummy..Flatbreads were pretty good as well..Staff were very attentive as well..what made it better was Real Madrid losing to Ajax while we were eating..lol

Good vibe, good food

Ate here late-night after a concert at Allegiant Stadium. Quick service, huge quantities (the BBQ nachos can feed five), and easy stop if you're staying at either the Mandalay Bay or Delano. Loud, though, because of the live music and location next to the Mandalay Bay casino.

Took a while to get in but food was very good

By SplashingB |

I had a GREAT steak salad for lunch and my husband had breakfast which they were kind to prepare at 1145 AM. Good food but the salad was just awesome! Lots of arugula.

Drinks were Great, Food Mediocre

By WaJello |

We bought tickets to a concert at the House of Blues and spent an extra $30 on Pass the Line pass which allows you to get in to the concert hall slightly earlier, and have a $30 credit a the restaurant for food or merchandise. This was a fun experience. The drink I ordered was great but the Shrimp Po'Boy wasn't anything to write home about. When it came to the table I had a sudden brain lapse and thought I had mistakenly ordered fried shrimp because there was so much shrimp that I had to eat the majority of it to find the bun, My husband ordered the Juicy Lucy Burger because he had seen it on a episode of Diners, Drive-Ins....with Guy Fieri (at a different restaurant). Unfortunately my husband said it wasn't quite what he had seen on the show and was rather disappointed as well. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad food, just nothing I would tell others they HAD to try. The good news is that the credits we had covered all but $8 of the bill.

Big portions

By Alice W |

We stopped in for dinner and really enjoyed the food. Service was quick and friendly. I had the country fried steak. It was excellent. Waitress was quick to confirm a country fried steak is breaded which I knew but I am sure would be highly appreciated by those who might not know. He had the BBQ platter with brisket and rib and really enjoyed it. The cost was a little higher that we anticipated as it was listed as $$ but the added cost was well worth it. Should be listed $$$

Fast service, Solid Breakfast

By Tex Hon |

Our first choice for breakfast was closed and they sent us to House of Blues, which did not disappoint. We had eggs/grits and it was pretty good. Service was fast and friendly, which is what we experienced at every restaurant at the Mandalay Bay. I'm sure all other meals here would be great as well.

This was our 'Home Away From Home'

By Debby D |

We ate most of our meals here. Breakfast, lunch and dinner over a week's time. Great variety of food, accommodated my scooter and also my restricted food plan I need to eat to stay healthy. Very easy for me. Great service and it is very well decorated. As an artist I especially apricated the Ladies Room, believe it or not! Nice attention to detail. The beautiful red haired gal out front was great!

Make sure you make clear that you do not want your main sent until you finish your starter

By Steven L |

Unfortunately the mains came 2 minutes after the starters. Which meant we did not have time to eat the starters. The server was indignant and said I told the kitchen but made no effort to resolve or compensate the mistake contrasting outback who could not be more apologetic.

Rude waitress asked us to leave for only ordering drinks

By mark |

Our experience here was disappointing. I visited the bar with a friend at lunchtime on Sunday 4 February. I initially ordered a cola and my friend ordered an iced tea and a key lime pie. The waitress serving us was extremely rude and told us that she “couldn't let us just hang out", she then told us that we could finish our drinks but that we would then have to settle the bill and leave. The place was not very busy, probably about half full. So we were not taking seats from other people. This was our last day in Vegas and the experience really spoilt the trip. The music was great, I think it was the loop artist Phil Stengel, who is brilliant. What we were able to have of food and drink was great too. However, the venue was let down by the grumpy waitress serving us. I plan on coming back to Vegas next year but I will definitely avoid the House of Blues.

HOB!! Worth It!!

By steveaQ3808AL |

Stopped in the HOB after the show and had the brisket tacos. WoW!! These were very good tacos. The brisket had the right amount of bbq sauce and was tender with a great flavor. And this is not their specialty. Go check out HOB. Service was great as well.

Reliable and inexpensive breakfast spot.

By Planet100 |

Good service here. Order the breakfast special and skip the expensive coffee and OJ. It is quick and quite good for under 20 bucks for two.

Great Experience!

By Kathleen S |

In the time of COVID restaurant dining is a different experience for sure. The meal we had at The House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay was great! They provided a socially distant, clean table and the service was above excellent. Our server KC was attentive, fun, and really went above and beyond. The drinks were great and the food was served timely and was oh so tasty. The music rocked! The manager came over to check on as well - to make sure everything was to our liking - big shout out to Jenna! Will def go again the next time we are in Vegas!!

Unexpected Surprise!

By TrueKCRoyalsFan |

We ate lunch at House of Blues during our last trip. I admit that my expectations were not that high, but this was an excellent meal. I had the steak salad, and it’s wonderful as is. There is no need to get a different dressing as the chosen one compliments the salad great. My wife had the ribs which she said were excellent as well. I would recommend House of Blues for any casual meal.

It’s amazing to see without

By jodia447 |

It’s amazing to see without all the crowds. It’s peaceful and beautiful place for different pictures. Just all around fascinating place.

Best part was the Southern Rock Band: Sweet Home Alabama

By MLMRocksTravel |

We had a reservation for after Carrot Top...and it took 3 hostess's running back and forth for 10 minutes to get us a table...not sure why it took so long and seemed like such a huge deal. Our server was outstanding...wish I remembered her name but her hubby also works in the hotel. I wanted gumbo but she told me it has a weird burnt taste...so I went for jambalia instead. It was good but super spicy. My friend had the lucy sandwich, and said it was too spicy also. Drinks were good. We probably won't be back with all of the great options in town.

Nice place to visit

By ne_quine |

This place was very busy when we arrived but thankfully didn't have too long a wait to get seated. The menu wasn't very extensive there was enough so that everyone got something they liked/enjoyed. Service was mixed - prompt to come by and take our order but seemed to take ages for the food to come out however it was worth the wait as it was very tasty. While we were waiting for the food to arrive, a photographer came round to take a pic of us and while you do get a free postcard, the photo of you is very small in it as they really want you to buy the bigger version but us canny Scots just took the freebie!

Marginal Dinner

By Natalie Woodward |

Slow service. No beers on tap. OK dinner but wouldn't go back. House of Blues in Anaheim is better. Pricey for what you get.

Great food with huge portions.

By Brian |

The food was awesome. They give you enough food to feed an army. I look forward to my return trip to Vegas so that I can eat here again whilst listening to live music.

🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

By Alan N |

Wasn’t very hungry so we decided to get something small for dinner. We were quickly seated and had Raji as our server. Five stars right there as he made us feel welcomed as was spot on with his service and follow up. We had the HOB Smash Burger that came with fries. Delicious. Nice and juicy was the burger and bun did not fall apart. We split the burger. Wife was hungrier than me so she had the gumbo. It was okay but the service made the dinner. We shall return.

Pre Cirque Meal

By BamaGrandslammer |

Had tickets to see Cirque's Michael Jackson - One and wanted to eat within Mandalay Bay. Arrived on a Saturday night and were able to be seated immediately at the House of Blues. Ordered one of their signature margaritas and a half-slab of baby back ribs. The ribs were fall of the bone tender, but the sauce, although tasty was a bit overpowering. The accompanying cornbread was a good compliment to the ribs. No room for dessert. Server was very helpful with her recommendations and was very attentive throughout the meal. Prices were in line for a Saturday night dinner on The Strip.

We loved this place!

By Michael T |

Always like to experience different places when we travel but we enjoyed this place so much and it was handy since we were staying in Mandalay Bay so we ended up there three times. Service was excellent every time. We had lunch at the bar twice, I had the Juicy Lucy burger and the Yardbird, both were perfectly cooked and delicious. My wife had shrimp tacos and a poor boy and was very happy with those. My only complaint was with the breakfasts, they are too big! Raised not to waste food, it was tough for me to settle on something I thought I might finish. If you have a big appetite you'll be happy with the menu. Biscuits and gravy comes with two biscuits, three eggs any style and hash browns. And we took advantage of the limitless bloody marys and mimosas for $20 each. I would definitely go back there again and I'm wearing my Blues Bros T-shirt as I'm writing this review.

Really fun place to eat and hear music.

By Keytothekingdom |

We ordered the nachos which were enormous and even though we were sharing them we couldn't finish them, it is a very cool place and there was a really good singer/guitar player performing. The waitresses were great. The only drawback was that they have this girl take your picture while you are there and then she tries to sell you the photo which felt kind of like a hustle.

The worse service of my life!

By Alaskanjim |

The worse service of my life! Food was pretty good but waiter could not serve water; pour wine; bring napkins .. or even check on us. Seriously ... they have two people doing nothing at the gift shop ... put them on the floor just to pour water. Fire your manager please

Frustrating

By X8568ZUkarend |

We walked over from the Excalibur for dinner as they didn't take reservations. We waited in line for over 30 minutes, which was okay. Our waitress was the rudest person we had encountered in Las Vegas. After 30 minutes of not even getting water, and the waitress said that what we were ordering wasn't good, we got up and left.

Southern flare

By SGTL |

My friend and I wanted to come here for a “southern” meal. I got the shrimp po boy and it was really delicious! I had at least 15-20 shrimp on my sandwich and the spicy sauce on it was so good. My friend had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes and she loved it and kept saying how much flavor the batter had. The service was a little slow but they warned us it would be cause the fried chicken takes about 25 minutes to cook... well it took about 40 but it’s okay cause the food was great. The theme inside the restaurant was cool to look at. I would come back!

Solid eats

By articusblue |

Great place to come. People are super friendly eager to help you out. The food has a great presentation to it. It surprised me. We were fortunate to have the bartender look after us. The food was hot and good portion sizes. The prices were good for the location and what you got. If you haven’t been you need to try it.

Christina

By Julie W |

Whilst queuing to see Santana we noticed the lady attendant had an English accent. We got chatting & told her we had got married on my husband’s 60th birthday. After admission to the venue she came and found us. She took us to the lift to the top floor & guided us to a private VIP booth. About half way through the show Christina revisited us in the booth to say she had some used guitar picks for Gareth (he was videoing out of the booth). I took Christina to him & explained that he had been very emotional this whole tour! She presented him with 2 picks at which point the years flowed. She joined in so did I. Towards the end of the show Christina visited us again with a set list. Cannot thank Christina enough for making our visit so special & memorable. Such a special lady. Thank you so much.

Good food average service

By Nailman88 |

Stopped I early to avoid the dinner rush. Drinks were served very fast and the meals also came pretty quick but clearing the table took forever and even though we told waiter we would want desert he never came back with menu so we asked for the bill went elsewhere for desert and after dinner drinks. The food was good too bad waiter was over extended

Great customer service!

By Heather S |

We went in to look at merchandise since we were staying right in Mandalay Bay. I found a hoodie for myself and my daughter. I wore it for a couple hours a few days after getting home and realized the bottom metal piece of the zipper under the teeth was broken 😭 I sent a message to the store manager and explained what happened and that I lived on the other side of the country and wasn’t sure how to go about getting a replacement. The next business day I received an email asking for my size and address and they shipped me a brand new one right away!!!! Couldn’t be happier with this company

Quick Visit For Appetizers - Very Good Food, But Clarify Online Offers

By Sue L |

We stopped here for some evening appetizers as I had a coupon from an online offer. Before purchasing the coupon, I made sure it would be applicable for our trip. When we first showed it to the server, they said it was not valid. Then they told us it would be OK, so we ordered. Then we were told something else. I did not want to create a big hassle but the story changed three or four times as to what we were eligible for with this coupon, and I'm not positive the final bill was even correct, but since it seemed to be in our favor I didn't want to question it. Why have these offers if staff is not trained on them? Despite all of this back and forth, which was a little distracting to have to discuss it all night, we did have some incredible appetizers, the BBQ Brisket Nachos and a Margherita flatbread. If you love garlic, and we do, the flatbread is a definite must. I also had a very interesting spicy margarita, which was very different and I enjoyed it! I also like the ambiance of this restaurant, and there was live music, which was fun. We got a nice table where we could see the casino, so good people watching!

Great Burgers

By Douglas S E |

We stopped in here for dinner before going to see Carrot Top at the Luxor. We both had burgers and they were very good.

Breakfast was so good had to go back for Dinner 😋

By Annastasia |

My husband and I started our day here with breakfast. We really enjoyed the applewood bacon, eggs, hash browns and had to try the pancakes. Everything was delicious. What made the experience great was the attention to detail our server Arianna and her manager Claudia paid to us and our meal. We felt like family. Being as breakfast was so tasty we made a reservation to come back for dinner later that evening. When we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. We started with a couple drinks, then enjoyed the tasty nachos followed by Steak and Shrimp with Mashed potatoes and crispy Brussel sprouts. The food was all delicious and a lot but what made this meal the best is the hospitality we received from Jeanna and Harold. We felt like family. Cannot wait to visit again our home away from home. Thank you everyone at the House of Blues for a fantastic dining experience.

Great.

By Marlene Williams |

Service was wonderful any imperfections were rectified immediately even comped one meal. Great food and prices for the area. Unfortunately here at Covid so no music

Food was Awesome

By Paul Ignatius A |

The food was awesome and the service was stellar both nights we had dinner there. Bruno was our waiter on the Saturday night and he made the experience even better with his attentive service. We had Amy on Sunday night and she did not disappoint. I recommend the smokehouse brisket and blackened salmon, you won't be disappointed with the food or the atmosphere at the House of Blues Mandalay Bay.

Un honest and unfair charge

By Aris G |

Charged me unfair charge$22.66 at house of blues restaurant in mandalay bay , they charged me based on lied to me about service charge not included tips.. that has been said to me by rude waitress and then i pais CASH TIPS.. now they charged me unfair and no honesty!

House of blues open during the pandemic!

By Joy C |

Had a great experience for dinner food was amazing. I had the Brisket at the restaurant and I took to go the Nacho crisps, they had a ton of meat it’s was delicious! Service was outstanding, super friendly staff. We go to all the house of blues and Las Vegas is by far the best! I appreciated the safety measures as well.

Meh!

By Brian S |

Ate one here. Ordered pasta with Cajun Chicken . Unfortunately I had to send it back as it was cold, however staff handled it professionally, and a new dish came out very quickly, and was fine.

Breakfast stop

By Gossamer007 |

Nice place to stop for a quick and good priced breakfast. Compared to other places in Vegas the food is well priced. Has two areas. One the main dining area and the other more of a bar area with plenty of tv's if you want to have brunch and watch football. There is live music there at night but I've never seen it so can't give it a rating. Our group usually has at least one or two breakfasts here when we stay in Mandalay Bay. Quick and a good value.

Get the PO Boy!

By heathercV8813KP |

Another delightful lunch at the House of Blues. Portion size is quite large, you could easily share a lunch with a friend. Never had a bad meal here!

Still Mediocre and a Bit Sad

By wbeem |

I dined at House of Blues twice on this trip. Once for Breakfast and once for Dinner. The first thing you notice is the attitude of the staff. Not joyous or friendly, but also not rude. They just seem tired and depleted of any emotion. You may as well have robots serve you. Breakfast was basic, but serviceable. The reason I come here is because I used to enjoy exceptional service and food at Veranda. However, they lowered their standards while keeping a premium price. The House of Blues breakfast is about half the price of Veranda, and surprisingly somewhat better now. For dinner, I tried the Jambalaya again. This was once a glorious meal at House of Blues, but it hasn’t been good for several years. It’s a victim of kitchen cutbacks and lackadaisical kitchen staff. It’s a large portrait on of mediocre rice, Tasso and Chicken. For an up charge, you can add some sad looking shrimp to the meal. Why do I come back here? Because there aren’t many choices in Mandalay Bay for basic comfort food, and most choices here are exceptionally expensive. So, I compromise and eat at House of Blues.

Great meal before Santana

By gpskisgolfs |

We got ready for the Santana concert in the House of Blues by loading up on great cocktails, double Makers, and some yummy Southern food. I had the half rack of ribs; they were meaty, grilled right, and very tasty. Everyone in our group was happy with their food.

Just what we wanted

By mbrichter |

Although disappointed that they don't take reservations, the wait wasn't long. We ate here for lunch one day and breakfast another. Lunch was incredible. The menu has lots of great choices and everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were large. Breakfast was a slightly different story. The breakfast menu was limited and boring. We almost walked out but the server bent over backwards to adapt what was available to our taste. The service was great for both meals.

Not what it used to be

By Karen A |

This has been our go to restuarant in Vegas for the past eight years but after our second stone cold Thanksgiving meal (two years in a row) this year we ate only once, a far cry from the $1000 plus we'd normally spend in our 10 day stay. Cold food, ruined with garlic, despite no mention of garlic on the menu. We'll try again next year when hopefully it will be great again. It's only becuse of my former love for HOB that this wasn't graded one.

Amazing Food, Service and Pricing

By Crystal S |

We were staying at Luxor and had possibly one of the worst breakfasts of our lives at the Pyramid Cafe. THEN, we discovered House of Blues, what a blessing! We dined here numerous times and the food was always on point. The Margherita Flatbread, brisket, wings, breakfast BLTA were among my favorites. Can’t wait until our next trip to Vegas!

Third time seeing The Santana show here, favorite venue in the world.

By Allison C |

Perfect place to see Carlos perform, with his son and wife on drums. Clean, great drinks and pretty good food. Employees were helpful and very attentive. I will definitely be back.

Great service varied menu

By rickcardo |

Great service varied menu lots of choices food ok.Went here for pre concert meals and drink.Food was only warm not really hot!Flavorful but hot would ha e made it better.Server was super!

Large portions, Great Food

By Wwlawrence |

The food was excellent, large portions. The server brought carafes of soda so we didn’t have to wait for refills. The theme of being outdoors while indoors is fun & relaxing.

Great Atmosphere & Awesome Food

By Vilma M |

My husband & I went in to check out the food. It was so very good, the service was excellent. Live Country music band was playing. Truly enjoyed the whole atmosphere- went back again before we left Vegas

Good but lacking service

By carnivalcruiselover |

HoB has lost its luster. The food was good but service could have been better at 2p in afternoon. Our waitress did not write the order down and it stressed me out. It was also incorrect as a result so some in our party only drank their dinner. I was disappointed since it was my recommendation to go there. A convenient option in Mandalay Bay but there are other places.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff

By Donna S |

Friendly staff, had drinks here a couple of times, and breakfast, also the nachos that my husband and I had here were pretty good.

Family Breakfast Win!

By BeachBoundSince1979 |

Family Breakfast Win! The food was delicious and well-priced. The service was excellent. My 10 year old daughter recalls this as her favorite meal in Vegas.

Sorry I'm not sure if this is same location

By lcpotes |

Sorry I'm not sure if this is the same or correct Listing. It still is House of Blues - B side. They have an album coming out soon; see them here at B side lounge, M, The Orleans, Fremont and a few other places! Great sounds, jams, dance music, old music and locally from Las Vegas! Have to support them ! Great service by Eric the Bartender!

A great experience… finally!

By 2texanstraveling |

After 3 days, finally a great meal!!! We went on a Sunday for breakfast around 10a. Service excellent. Seated immediately. Food served quickly and hot. Grits skillet meal very good. Bananas Foster waffles very good. Good sized portions for fair price. Offered us drinks to go!! We will go back!

Great Management, Staff, & Food

By Gina C |

We went to House of Blues without a reservation for 4 people. We were seated much more quickly than we expected or were told. Carlos was our server and was very honest when I asked him about specifics on the menu- ie what's good and what to avoid. He did not steer us wrong. The food was amazing! I had the shrimp and grits and it was perfect. To top off the experience, the manager, Jeanna, came over to welcome us and she was awesome!! It could have just been that we had similar outgoing East Coast personalities, but she just topped off the overall great experience. We will certainly go back to House of Blues when we return to Vegas. Thanks Carlos & Jeanna!!!

Trip to Las Vegas

By rhonda h |

We ate breakfast at the house of blues. It was delicious, the servers were very nice. It was 8 of us and we were seated and served quickly. One day we had a 15 minute wait. It was still quick. Food was great. The chicken and waffles, grits, omelettes were all good. I will highly recommend. Great atmosphere!

House of blues totally sucks

By Michael P |

If you are thinking about going to the house of blues .. DON’T .. it is a huge disappointment. The food is horrendous.. everything is gross. This is supposed to be a music venue style restaurant..They don’t even have food named after artists .. what about Carlos Santana tacos ? Or Guns N’ Roses spaghetti ? The only good thing was the hot hostess who sat us down at the table.

Fantastic BBQ

By R3C0NXD45 |

We had dinner here, fried chicken sandwich and BBQ brisket. Great kids menu and great skillet cookie for desert.

Horrible restaurant service

By Maps583828 |

Sunday April 10 830 pm We were seated for quite some time before we realized who our waitress was. She had passed by several times without saying anything. Her name was Tracey. She took our orders but when a kitchen server brought out the salad, we still hadn’t gotten any silverware from the waitress. Couldn’t get her attention because she was engulfed in a conversation with people at another table. No, she wasn’t serving them, they were just laughing and joking around continuously. She eventually sat two more couples at tables adjoining us but she never stopped to ask if we needed refills. Meanwhile she goes back to her “fun conversation” table and yucks it up with them forever. When she returns to our area, she ignores us and caters only to the couple on our right side. I had to flag her down to get a refill of Pepsi! She went back to her fun table yet again. Meanwhile the couple to our left, a father and daughter are upset because their food came out and they didn’t have silverware either. The father had to complain to the kitchen server as well because Tracey was still busy joking around with her friends. She came back to the couple to the right of us and courteously catered to their every whim, including giving them complimentary cups and boxes to go. She checked them out and ignored us yet again? We were finished long before they were. The little girl to the left had an empty glass of Pepsi as well with no offer to get another one. Tracey talked to her fun table yet again and disappeared into the kitchen. Finally, after waiting another 10 minutes, I went to the hostess and asked her to ring up our check because our waitress doesn’t seem to like us for some reason. One of The hostesses apologized and started while the other one asked who our waitress was. She disappeared into the kitchen. Tracey comes running out and tells the hostess she’ll ring us up. At this point I am boiling mad and fight the urge to tell her what I think of her. I’ve never experienced service this bad with a server who was blatantly ignoring us and the father/daughter to our left. What was the difference? The Fun table were White people, the couple to our right were White people. The father/daughter were East Indian and my wife and I are Black. I’m not one to see race as a factor in any given situation but that was the only one I could see. We are in our sixties and upper middle class so I’m not sure what stereotypes she could’ve had in her head against us let alone the Indian father/daughter. The kicker? Tracey is Black also. I have attended the Gospel brunch here twice and really enjoyed it. But I’ll never eat there again, horrible experience.

House Of Blues - Telsa Concert

By David E |

We hit up the House of Blues for the Tesla concert, and let me tell ya, it was fantastic! Those boys can still flat-out rock the stage like it's 1987 all over again. I'll be keepin' my ears to the ground and my eyes peeled for the next AARP band from my 80's childhood to show up -- because if they're half as good as Tesla was, I'll be first in line for tickets. The venue itself is top-notch -- not a bad seat in the house, great sound, and a crowd that knew every word to every song. Felt like a big ol' family reunion where everyone's wearing black T-shirts and relivin' their glory days. We sat at a table with a couple from California, and bless 'em, they even helped us lost southerners navigate through the maze of buildings to our final stop. I tell ya, it sure put our navigation skills aside while we were escorted by that friendly couple -- felt like we had our own personal tour guides through the neon jungle. Our waitress was amazing, keeping the drinks and good vibes flowin' all night. She deserves a raise -- or at least a backstage pass! If you're ever in Vegas and see one of your favorite old-school rock bands playing here, do yourself a favor -- grab those tickets and get ready for a night that'll take you straight back to the best decade of music.

Great breakfast!

By DEWC194 |

We enjoyed great breakfast service here, even with a group of 14. Friendly, professional and great meals, the experience started our week out on the right note.

Great breakfast

By Marli F |

We had breakfast at HOB 3 days in a row while staying at Mandalay Bay. Service was excellent, quick and friendly. The decor is funky and interesting. Food was served hot, large portions and very tasty. Whichever brand of bacon they use is excellent. I had the special (2 eggs,3 bacon, hash browns and toast) for $8.99 which was a great value in Vegas. DH tried the pancakes ( huge and tasty) and the waffles with Bananas Foster and he really liked it. Overall, would definitely recommend.

I did noticed a person...

By Susie q |

Every time I come to town, I stay at Mandalay Bay it’s my favorite place to stay. I also like to visit House of Blues about twic to three times during my stay! I loved their food. The Pasta Dish is my favorite! I was very pleased to see that they seem to have it together! Even though the staff had masks they were all friendly from the hostess, to the server, to the manager that stopped by my table. I did noticed a person dedicated to spray and sanitize everything which made me feel safe and comfortable. The bathrooms were super clean. I’m really impressed to see their commitment to us, and each other.

awesome food

the food here is very good, they have the best chicken wings i have ever had. I would recommend this place highly!

Cornbread heaven

By Amywco |

We ate dinner here after a busy day walking the strip. The portions are large and the food is great. The fried chicken has great flavor and the smoked chicken plate is huge. The cornbread was by far our favorite. Moderately priced considering you’re on the strip and the amount of food you get

Early Dinner

By Kelly B |

Visiting during COVID, we found our restaurant choices limited. We stopped in the House of Blues for an early dinner. It was Labor day weekend and there was understandably, a small wait. The food was delicious and the menu had many choices. The mid-range prices were typical of a big hotel in las Vegas. It's a destination spot under normal circumstances but currently missing the Vegas energy. The curse of COVID. The food was good, we will go back. Felt safe eating in this public spot, the restaurant was clean and following COVID guidelines.

Lovely food

By vicki |

Absolutely delicious breakfast and dinner. Staff are friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend the fried chicken burger. We ate breakfast here 5 days out of 7 and it was amazing.

Best in Las Vegas

By chrisc1981elp |

Thank you House of Blues. Our Las Vegas visit was made better after having some issues at the hotel. We met some amazing people working there and the little main bar has amazing flavor and and the best bartenders working. I would like to thank Jeanna and the afternoon bar staff Yordiel and Andrea and Scott.

Great place to eat any time of the day

By Sarah-Helen |

We had a lovely meal at the House of Blues on a Friday night, we hadn't booked but got a table in the bar area with out any trouble. We were served quickly by a very friendly waitress who took the time to chat away to us about our holiday and my son's job as cabin crew. The drinks menu was quite extensive and my husband happily made his way through the cocktails on offer, the food was really nice the best mash potatoe and chicken dish, highly recommend this restaurant good food at a fair price. .

Great Live Music

By Rita |

Stopped by here after a horrible experience at Rivera. Wonderful live music. Didn't stay long but would love to come back.

Surprisingly good

By Sudeep R |

I had expected this to be another over done, over hyped place but was pleasantly surprised. I sat at the bar and they were super quick and kind to take my order and get it as I had a show to go to. And it was delicious! The interiors too are really interesting and not overblown. A much better option than the OTT stuff around it.

If you like BBQ this is a must!

By Lauri L |

This is an amazing place, has a great vibe and the service is spot on. This was our final meal in Las Vegas before hitting the airport. I had the Smokehouse plate and I picked the Chicken, the flavor was pure perfection, they serve this with baked beans, pickles, jalapeno cornbread, slaw and Southern Street corn, just WOW!

Very disappointing food.

When we last visited Vegas in 2015, the food we had at HOB was superb and so we were eager to return again this time. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment this time, as was the service. 2 of our party had the ribs, one of the rib dishes had virtually no meat on them and the other was really dry, and the rest of the items served with them were just not very nice. Another in our party ordered the chicken, which didn’t appear to have been cooked properly and had a very salty coating which was not very nice, so most of the meal was left uneaten. The waitress who cleared half the table didn’t seem to notice that she was clearing away largely untouched meals, and didn’t enquire as to whether everything was ok. The remaining dirty plates were left on our table right until the time that we left after we had finished our drinks. We won’t be going back.

Great staff, great food & drink, great live music, and great atmosphere!

Our waiter and MOD from NJ made our experience that much better. The only complaint is we wish we could've stayed longer (had another show to catch)!

Breakfast with an R&B vibe

By Okrent3209 |

My wife and I stayed at the Delano and walked over to the Mandalay Bay House of Blues. They had an enticing $8.99 breakfast special. It dies not include coffee or juice. The atmosphere is amazing. Always something new to discover. Service is good. Waitress was very helpful explaining all the options. My wife wanted vanilla coffee, no problem. The cheese on the home fries is extra too. That said it was a large portion of eggs, bacon, home fries and 1 slice of toast. I’ll come back. They also take a complimentary photo. Delivered to your table along with some better ones to pay for. If you want them. We just took the free one. No problem.

Dinner

Great value for the dollar. Had the steak that was much better then the $75.00 dollar one we had in the hotel and you didn't have to pay $10.00 for a side.

Quick lunch spot!

The environment was super laid back and easygoing, the menu was pretty vast with multiple options for many picky eaters or restrictive diets, and the food was great and came out fast! Would definitely visit again. Easily accessible and not hard to find in Mandalay Bay's casino floor.

House of Yum

Love the ambiance of this place. Everything is so visually artistically eclectic We ate dinner and breakfast here. Both times the food was very generous and great quality. The servers are on top of their game, Quick and friendly. This is just a super cool must go place to eat.

Great Breakfast special provided plenty of food and Ruth was excellent.

We did not have reservations, however, were quickly seated in Ruth's area. She greeted us promptly and though there were several tempting options for breakfast, we opted for the breakfast special. Was served quickly, it was hot and the eggs were prepared to our liking. My sunny side up was excellent and my wife likes scrambled dry. They did not disappoint. Highly recommend that you visit on the first day there as am sure you will be back.

Great late night dinner.

Stopped in for late dinner on a Sunday night. The ambience was good. They had live music (a very talented duo), and the music wasn’t too loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. The customer service and food was great. I had the crispy chicken sandwich (which you can order as grilled chicken if you want). It had a nice thick piece of chicken in it. My husband had the Po’ Boy sandwich and he absolutely loved it. The French fries were cooked perfectly crispy. We loved it here and would definitely eat here again.

Good for dinner before the show

My family had dinner here before seeing a show at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. We were served relatively quickly (cobb salads, jambalaya among the choices) and we all enjoyed our meals. The prices were not outrageous and the service was very good.

My husband did not want to

My husband did not want to eat here. After asking our server Ryan what he recommended, my husband got the beef brisket sandwich. It was delicious!!! I got the wedge salad with ranch and it was also delicious! We would recommend eating here!!! Thank you Ryan!

House of Blues I <3 you

I cannot stop talking about this place. You know when you visit somewhere and you just think boom I'm home. Yeah this is this place for me. Incredible food, Amazing live bands, Stiff drinks and the staff are so so nice :) Okay fine... I am a little obsessed with this place I went 3 times in my trip to Vegas but it is so good I couldn't help it. They also have a gift shop... I may have spent probably about $100 too much in here but I regret nothing. Beautiful clothing, great magnets, glasses and guitar pics. It is just FREAKIN' AMAIZNG IN THERE! I am sad to be home and cannot visit all the time.
