Don’t expect to receive good service if you have 3 or more people in your party. After our mediocre dinner we were asked to move to the bar, yes they actually place a time limit on tables. At the bar we were told to sit down because it’s not a standing bar, just ridiculous. I certainly won’t go back despite working in the same building, much better options close by….

What a fantastic discovery this restaurant is in downtown Seattle! If you want to feel what a great dining experience is from the food to the cocktails to the ambience to the friendly staff, check out House of Eve in Seattle. Any time find a small business where you can just immediately sense that the owner has poured their heart and soul into the place, you know it will be incredible. This restaurant is just such a place. Let's start with the food. What a creative menu! A manageable offering to satisfy a broad range of tastes. In the mood for pasta? Amazing choices. Or maybe a seared duck breast with roasted carrots or salmon pesto with some oysters. And the creativity doesn't end with the food offerings. Someone had a blast coming up with the cocktail offerings to deliver such suggestions as the "Passion of Women" or "Wicked Nature" cocktail. I went with a more traditional dirty martini - perfectly dirty! - and the "Mama's Mussels" with chorizo, an amazing bouillabaisse type dish full of flavor. The shared small plates of chipolte aioli fried potatoes and brussel sprouts with goat cheese were delicious as well. We even had the pleasure of chatting with the owner of this fantastic restaurant, a woman by the name of Mikayla Benedict, who made us feel right at home. Do not miss an opportunity to dine at Ms. Benedict's new restaurant. I will be sure to be back on my next trip to Seattle.

At the corner of 8th and Blanchard, in the Amazon building, is a beautiful new upscale bar, with a sampling of appetizers and entrees, with a pleasant, relaxing and cozy ambiance. The front-of-house service was charming, welcoming, and attentive. We were there for their soft opening, but you never would have known this was their first night. We were a party of five, and ordered everything off the menu. Besides a full bar, there were several creative and unique offerings, including some non-alcoholic choices (which they name “Temperances.” Love that! Sharables - the bread was delicious, served warm with butter and topped with shredded parmesan. The roasted fingerling potatoes were perfectly seasoned and prepared. Brussel sprouts also wonderfully done, could have been warmer but the flavors were great. There is one salad which was a very nice combination of greens, vinaigrette, sliced pear and toasted hazelnuts. The three pastas were all excellent, Alfredo was our favorite. The fish entree was a favorite, pan-crusted and oven-finished just right. A substantial portion with sautéed mixed veggies. The Mussels, also a substantial portion, were served in a delicious broth. Sadly, they were out of the braised beef entree so we were unable to try that, but we will definitely be back for it! All in all, a very enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend this place for couples or small groups looking for a new place to celebrate or relax in downtown Seattle.

A perfect spot tucked in a new Amazon building in S Lake Union. Modest sized dining and bar inside and a sweet patio outside hidden and softened with planter boxes and lots of green. Owner is on site so it runs very smoothly plus her staff is very professional and friendly + attentive. About 18 months since opening. The carbonara with bucatini was wonderful and rich, then we shared one of the BIG salads, fed four of us. Highly recommended for all times of the day…they also do a “‘Tini Tuesday” plus have numerous alcohol-free drinks that don’t make you feel left out!

Stopped by with our 1230pm reservation on Saturday and took a table outside. Service was very good and friendly. Overall, food was well-prepared and tasty. The Carbonara with Chorizo was very tasty but a bit too creamy for my preference. The Dutch Baby was also well-prepared and was very tasty and light.
House of Eve - Excellent!
I was visiting family in Seattle and was looking for a nice restaurant to have dinner. This eatery came highly recommended. Making a reservation was easy. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and seated. I ordered the fish of the day (Salmon) with vegetables and house salad; both were absolutely amazing! The veggies and Salmon were cooked to perfection with lots of flavor and salad was fresh and so delicious. My family enjoyed their meal too. It was priceless to witness their experience. The only thing I would suggest is for the menu to include other protein choices. My daughter is pregnant and is avoiding fish/seafood for the time. She was hoping to add chicken or other protein but was not on the menu. That didn't stop her from enjoying the Alfredo dish though. I am very happy with this experience overall. A huge thank you to Tirzah for being so kind, attentive and graceful. This restaurant is definitely on my favorites.
