So fresh, sooootasty...totally addicting..beware! Lovely atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Al in all a very nice place for lunch or dinner.

Excellent falafel and Mediterranean fare in a quaint area full of small restaurants. Great service and good prices, will definitely go back and try other goodies, especially the stuffed figs.

We love Hovan and were so sad when it closed in Perimeter Mall. And then, more than a year later, our hopes were answered by their re-opening in Brookhaven. We love the wrap sandwiches, the grilled chicken sandwich and the salads/sides. People can't understand our excitement until we take them there. The food tastes fresh and healthy, and the owners are lovely people. Try it!

This is a cute little Mediterranean place. Gentlemen was so helpful and took the time to explain the food and ingredients to everyone. Food was fresh and great.

I had a Shawarma with hummus as another side. I was incredibly surprised that the sides were not any good. Very plain. The Shawarma was ok, but for $12 including tax?!? Not worth the money. $12 is not considered a cheap eat in my opinion. Friendly service but did not enjoy paying so much for an overall poor meal. I like Mediterranean food, and I’ve had much better Mediterranean food than this.

I'm so happy Hovan reopened here after closing the perimeter mall location. They expanded the menu with new hot entrees and still have old favorites like falafel, rolls and baba ganoush.

The last bastion of Hovan sandwiches in Atlanta stays busy because they make everything fresh and do not spare the quality of their offerings. This shop is a long way from my home and not somewhere I go often, but I make the trip willingly since the payoff is a great sandwich. The other offerings are as good or better than found elsewhere in Mediterranean-style restaurants and are a nice change of pace from the sub-shop or hamburger joint. The owners are friendly and responsive to each customer. This is a place to which I will always want to return.

Ok so took me a while but glad to find this heavenly place. I was an avid fan at perimeter mall until it closed and found it today not too far away!!!! I'll follow anywhere! Faboo sandwich roll vege w avocado- some gazpacho - mmmmmmmmm

I've been eating Hovaness' food for 30 years, and am so happy that he set up this full service restaurant. I have been there for lunch, and look forward to the evening menu. Terrific food and service.

Oh my Gosh! Hovan's has been a part of my life since before I was born! For nearly 30 years, my mother has been addicted to Hovan's amazing food! The dinner menu is amazing, try the lamb kebab! For lunch, try the chicken shawarma! The staff is amazing, Andrew: he always gets your order right! And fast! Nora, Jonathan, Kricket, Hovan himself, and the all of wonderful others will remember you and keep a warm, "family-style", environment! You'll never regret going to Hovan's! You will only regret not going sooner!

My husband and I LOVE Hovan’s! We actually travel quite the distance as often as we can to experience some of our favorite food. The food is always consistent and of the highest quality. The owners and staff are always so friendly. We love that they have lots of vegan options for us.

I go here all the time for take out, although there are tables, booths, and an outside area. I'm vegan, but my meat-eating friends find lots here, too. You order at the counter. The whole staff is wonderful.

Ate lunch at Hovan - twice - while we moved my son into a nearby apartment. Prior to eating there, I had limited experience with Mediterranean foods. Wow! I am definitely a convert. The food was fantastic! I liked the family-owned diner atmosphere, and Hovan's does a brisk lunch business. It's great food and reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back and try something new.

I was so sad when Hovan Gourmet moved from the food court at Perimeter Mall but was glad they opened at this location. The hovans are the best in Atlanta. We also ordered the soup, chicken kabobs with rice, hummus and lentil salad. Everything was delicious.

The chicken swarma plate is always satisfying. You can get one or two sides. The humus is wonderful and the crackers that come with it are very tasty. Don't worry if you don't know what things are. The entire staff is so nice that they will take the time to explain everything to you.

Love the food here! Easy also to pick up! Very fresh ingredients. Delicious Greek food! Outside dining.

i've eaten Hovan food for years - always good, and always nice, friendly service. Since they have moved from Perimeter Mall, they are a little off the beaten path, but the food remains awesome! I've never taken anyone there that didn't enjoy it.

Hovan has been one of our family's favorite for Mediterranean light fare. The rolls, hummus, and tabouleh are excellent. Whenever we are in the north metro area, we make a special trip to Hovan. The owner is friendly and very accommodating, the food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the restaurant is neat and clean.

The real deal. Freshest ingredients. This guy built a small bakery to produce the flat bread because he couldn't buy the quality and taste he wanted. They cater too.

Was looking for a place for a business lunch and checked Hovan out. Everything was fresh and delicious. Right after I got my food at least 20 people walked in and line was out to the door. Nice edition to the neighborhood!

A symphony of flavors. Each side has a different unique flavor made out of a combination of spices. What makes the whole experience unique is how you combine the sides: even if you order the same main dish, if you choose different sides and combine them, you have a different flavor altogether.

Hovan will never win an award for it's trendiness, but it could for its food and friendly attitude. Horan has been around for years, at one there was a location in the mall, the location on Johnson Ferry I am told is the original location. Nice place for lunch, food is quite good, better than you would expect in its location. The owner has always greeted us with a warm hello, is quick to point out his daily specials and makes the meal that much more enjoyable.

Their food is excellent. I dream of their lentil soup, roasted cauliflower, babaganoush, falafel, lamb kebabs. They had chicken harissa as a special and it was amazing. Healthy food, amazing flavors, this place is a must-try. A bit pricey for their smallish food portions but they put love in their cooking and I can taste it! Service can be a bit slow depending on the time of day.

I really hate to share this little gem but I feel I must. I love Hovan Gourmet in Brookhaven and everything about it. Excellent, fresh, tasty Mediterranean food with all the favorites: taboulah, swarmas, dolmas, etc, are the best I have ever tasted. The evening staff, Noor and Charlie, are friendly, helpful and always warm and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable. No need to buy an expensive airline ticket to Greece or Turkey to enjoy wonderful food.

What a fabulous assortment of mediterranean foods to eat! The food is delicious and so fast! I wish I still lived in Atlanta so I could enjoy more!

I am not an expert in Mediterranean food but what little experience I do have is capped by this place. We have lived in the area for 3 years and are pleasantly surprised and upset with ourselves by what we found last week. Lentil salad was great, chicken kabobs checked in as best ever for us and the hummus (made on site with homemade tahini) was outstanding. Add in fresh pita bread....you get the picture. Again, I am not an expert but this place is tops in my book and will be how others are judged from here on. If you are thinking about it - do it.

I recently had lunch with a long time friend and we decided to do "something different." So we chose Hovan as I know the owner and his wife. I am so glad we did. I had not eaten there in a while but really glad we chose this lovely, family-owned establishment. The owner works in the kitchen but comes out to greet guests as they peruse a buffet of options. We chose the spicy chicken shwarma (chicken, lettuce and sauce in a pita wrap. We also had the caramelized cauliflower and Mediterranean salad. It was an outstanding and filling meal which my friend could not finish. (I ate all of mine.) The owner treated us to a piece of homemade baklava and Turkish coffee. Fantastic meal and priced very modestly so I bought lunch for my friend. Lots of people ordered food to go and a few hearty souls ate outside on the patio in the hot Atlanta summer heat. it is easy to miss this establishment if you are not looking for it. The location is inside the Perimeter near the intersection of Ashford-Dunwoody Road and Johnson Ferry Road. DON'T MISS THIS WONDERFUL FOOD !!!!!!!!!!

The food was fresh, tasty and healthy. We had falafels, lentil soup, tabbouleh. all were great. We will be back.

The Hovan Gourmet restaurant is a small modest rather plain Mediterranean eatery sandwiched between several other small ethnic restaurants. Fresh Greek style salads (offered as a combo) with delicious hummus, falafels and shawarma. My first visit and and enjoyed the Hummus with a liberal pool of olive oil and a salad covered with diced lamb meat and crackers. A serving of flaky honey Baklava and a fig took care of the sweet tooth for my friend and I. The Armenian born Nazareth native / proprietor is a 35 year veteran of preparing Med. style foods in different cities in the US. Order and pay from the counter and your food is brought to your table in paper and plastic, - drink is 'serve yourself' with no further table service offered, My only quibble here was that the serving size was a bit skimpy in comparison to the price.
One of my favorite Atlanta restaurants for years.
I've been eating at Hovan for so many years I can't remember how long it's been. I discovered them when they were first located at Perimeter Mall. They were the only place that I would ever eat in the food court. When they reopened off of Johnson Ferry I was more than excited. I had missed their amazing food and my favorite lentil salad. Every time I eat at Hovan the food is fresh and delicious and I feel well taken care of. They are friendly provide great service and the food is just top notch. Hovan is not fancy but you don't need fancy to get a great meal. I highly recommend pretty much anything on the menu. My favorites include Falafel, baba ganoush, hummus, lentil salad and tabbouleh. It's probably good that they aren't too close to where I live or I'd be eating there every other day. Go get your Mediterranean food fix at Hovan.
