Worst dinner experience ever!!! Think of being trapped on an airplane. There are screaming kids on either side of you for the entire flight. You can't hear a word being said by the person sitting next to you. The kids are unruly, climbing on top of the bench seat while the parents do nothing. The waitress skips your seat when food is served and makes you wait for 15min to bring a salad. (Really??? The kitchen can't even put a salad together in a reasonable amount of time?) Meanwhile, the others in your party have nearly finished eating. It was on par with a Chuck E. Cheese experience. The parents of the more obnoxious kids were apparently regulars and 'famous'. The wait staff couldn't stop feigning over them, let alone ask them to take their spoiled brats outside. Apparently, the management's policy is not to intervene when everyone around them is glaring, shaking their heads, and covering their ears at the screaming. We have been to this restaurant several times and the service gets worse each time. Tonight was the final straw.

I don't usually visit this Hudson House, but recently went there for a family weekend brunch. Came away unimpressed with lots of important factors. No problem getting a reservation (a good thing) as the restaurant was otherwise half empty at most. But now I understand why. Here are just some of the reasons: 1) Ambience is good but the music background is too loud and not conducive to a table conversation; 2) Menu choices on Weekend Brunch are MUCH too limited; 3) Service (at least our server) was pleasant but incredibly slow in bringing everything. (Took forever just to get a first round of coffee); 4) Coffee needs to be replenished continuously. I shouldn't have to call over our server in order for additional coffee to be prepared and delivered to the table; 5) Pepper mills at each table (we tried 3 different pepper mills) all deliver pepper which is much too large for topping on eggs or other items. Half of the pepper comin out were whole pepper kernels. And the server didn't offer to bring fine or even medium ground pepper from the kitchen. 6) One dish out of the five we ordered was delivered 3-4 minutes after the rest of us had been served, and eggs for the other four get cold waiting for the 5th dish to arrive. The good news is that the kitchen food preparation was excellent, and very tasty. For the price paid, there are many other brunch locations one can visit in the Dallas area and get good/better quality.

This is a 'go-to' for us and they never disappoint. The food is always prepared as it should be and the wait staff are well-trained, professional and flexible with requests, even when busy. We celebrated a birthday in their private room and it was very nice and despite the large group, the food came out on time, at the same time, and was great.

Had heard what an amazing place for dinner...WELL, I was unimpressed. Limited menu, in some instances expensive items. Glad we went during "happy hour ", as the cheese burger π (regularly $14, was $10 and comes with a "half dill pickle" fries are extra and tasty, but Whataburger's are just as good.π. The $10 onion rings (4 medium size to the order) were acceptable. The French Chicken could have been prepared at home and would have been much better. The only acceptable prices during happy hour are the oysters π. Won't be back anytime soon.

This is a GREAT addition to the Lakewood neighborhood. Great service and the food it top notch. I love the atmostphere. My favorite thing about Hudson House is the variety. You can get a fancy meal if you like, or you can be casual. Their steak / oysters / wine are equally as good as their beer and burgers. It makes for a great place for a date night or taking the whole family. I highly recommend Hudson House.

This is a well-appointed restaurant at the popular Abrams and Mockingbird intersection. The ambiance is pleasant and upscale for the neighborhood. Were seated quickly and food arrived quickly. The menu is primarily seafood based; we tried the brunch menu. The Hudson Sandwich, scrambled eggs with bacon and avocado on brioche, was very oily, messy, and flavorless. I plan to return but will not order the sandwich.

Absolutely lovely decor in every way. Disappointed in food. Ordered chicken sandwich for lunch. Beautifully presented but very small for the $16 price with nothing on the side. I left still hungry but with those prices didn't care to order dessert.

When we arrived for our reservation, there was a couple in front of us waiting and no host in sight. After a minute or two the host arrived and the couple asked if they could place a to go order. We waited five minutes for the couple to place their order and not a single other server or manager took the time to help us as they passed by. Why would to go orders be placed with the host and not the bar? Terrible first impression. Our server was fantastic. Just the right amount of interaction and very professional & friendly. Top notch. I took the red snapper and while it was very good the presentation was not so good. They cut the filet in half and it was served with a mountain of broccoli that was about 7" round and a couple inches high. The price value of this item is not good. The balance of the items ordered at the table were great. When we left I said thank you to the dining room manager as he passed by. He just gave me a blank stare and kept going. Terrible first and last impression.

I thought the ambiance, the wait staff, and the food were all excellent. I look forward to my next visit.

Wonderful food - try the fish tacos; friendly, helpful, professional service - ask for Sam; very nice ambiance - sit in the booths. We could carry on a conversation even with a full place with lots of conversations going on.

The locals we knew love this place for brunch so they took us...only to discover that it only serves brunch on the weekends. Oh, well. The couples recommended the cheeseburger which I got. It's huge and very tasty. They also recommended the truffle fries which my husband got. I HATE the smell of truffles so I was put off my whole meal but the other three say that they are great. They also love the frozen peach bellini. I had a sip but it was too strong for me and I'm not a big drinker. But if you like cold and sweet, that might be up your alley.
casual lunch
Went there for a casual lunch with my teen son. Had a cheeseburger and the fried chicken sandwich. Was seated promptly, served excellent food, and had a nice atmosphere to enjoy my son. Great addition to Lakewood.
