My husband and I had brunch with friends we hadn't seen in years; the food and service were good, with a creative and interesting (and very good!) special on the menu. Although we stayed a long time, we did not feel rushed to leave the table. The atmosphere was perfect for a get-together with friends.

After hearing positive reviews from a couple friends, we decided to try this for breakfast one day. Service was sporadic, the breakfast burritos were unimpressive, and minimal food for three people (with only one coffee) was right at $40. Other people clearly enjoy this place, but we're not going back.

Oh my gosh... 5 Stars Plus!!! This cute little local cafe is farm-to-table, with a rustic look inside, AMAZING food, and great customer service! I had the house-made Turkey Sausage and Spinach Omelet with beautiful caramelized onions and jack cheese. Instead of homestyle potatoes or a side salad (I’m eating keto), I asked for tomato slices. I was expecting the typical beefsteak tomato slices with no flavor, but instead I got gorgeous fresh farmers market tomatoes (that were delicious) on a bed of arugula. Their turkey sausage is incredible; it just has so much flavor and is literally the best turkey sausage I’ve had. My sister ordered the English Butty, an over easy egg, cheddar cheese, and their turkey sausage on a house-made English muffin with home style potatoes and a small arugula salad with scrumptious pickled cabbage. Seriously original, tart, and a wee bit spicy house-made pickled cabbage... to die for. We can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes. They also have a few tables on the patio so if you have a dog you can try and grab one of those. And they have some tasty looking baked goods (scones, cookies, etc.) in a case up front. Lovely staff, comfy place, wonderful food!!!

Last week I had breakfast with my parents here. I looked it up online and it sounded good. From the outside it does not look like much but on the inside it is a cute little place that feels kind of homie / country style place. The food is great and service is excellent! Price is decent for a sit down place. We will be back.

In LA you seem to have every mediocre breakfast chain but very few stand-outs. Well this place is the real deal. It's prices are a tad higher than others but so worth every single cent. The menu selection is unique but with enough standard fare to keep the traditionalists happy. The place is busy but not too loud. The service is hectic as the place is very popular with locals. I won't go into detail but the ingredients are all superior to what you expect. They now have fresh juices that are blends that are creative and delicious. My friend thought they were priced a little steep but tried a sip of mind and then reconsidered and bought his own. I'm going back the next chance I get. Simply a fantastic place!

This was my 2nd visit at Humble Bee. My daughter & family took me here for yet another surprise for breakfast. Food was warm, flavorable enough to satisfy the appetite; the waitress was very nice, friendly and attentive. I like the ambiance, homey-like feeling, people seem happy, no long wait– not more than a minute– if you get there early enough when they open at 7:30am, closes at 3:30pm. Food is prepared organic and has natural ingredients. I had the Simple Strata and it was simply scrumptious! Everything nice! However, the server must practice and follow basic food and beverage service rules. The server must not serve guest across the table but to serve the guest from the right...

We’ve been eating too much fast food during our vacation and this is probably the healthiest meal we’ve eaten during our trip. Everything is organic and locally sourced. Busy place but I enjoyed the food as did my family. We ordered 2 personal pizzas, biscuits and gravy, and a turkey sausage omelette. All was good!

We experienced a delicious brunch last weekend at the charming Humble Bee. There were six of us and the service was spot on, attentive to our needs with food served quickly at the appropriate temperature. Everyone around the table was pleased with their choice and other's choices too, as we elected to share. My breakfast croissant was warm and flakey with an egg, bacon, lettuce and tomato tucked inside. There was a lovely salad tossed with house made vinaigrette on the side. My husband had the biscuits and gravy. Although not what we are accustomed to in Texas, he gave it two thumbs up! However, the winner at the table was chicken pot pie with a perfect fried egg on top, winning salad at the side. How pretty is that? Next time for me. The coffee was hot and flavorful and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. There are vegetarian and vegan options available too. What more could you want? Maybe to bring your dog, which you can do on the small patio. I would advise you get there before 10:00 am to avoid a wait. But if you have to wait, it's worth it. Thanks Humble Bee!

The Panwich is ridiculous first off....with a Marzipan topping, oh yeah...and maple syrup. The biscuits and gravy are really solid and the service was also good. Definitely good for couples or families. Reasonably priced for organic food. We have found a local joint that will be our new go to breakfast spot.

This strip mall cafe went in a few years ago much to the joy of our whole office. Working in this area for a decade the standard drive thru fare was old and pretty unsatisfactory. Now, this is a farm-house cute spots fills the need for a healthy (juice, vegan, hand made) place where nothing similar exists. Parking can be a challenge but they do a great take out portion as well. Recommend the turkey meatballs or the tofu scramble !

Did not find this place until our last day, and I wish I had found it sooner, it would have been my daily breakfast stop! While not in the best neighborhood, it was excellent food and was pretty close to where family lives, they told us they had always wanted to go there, but it was difficult for them to get into. I had a breakfast that I had never tried before, a pan-wich, and whoever thought of it is a genius! A perfect pancake, folded in half with sausage and eggs in the middle, topped with mascarpone and apple slaw…just terrific!!! Their omelets were very good as well. There was a wait of about 15-20 minutes for brunch, all of the servers were friendly and very professional and really clean for as busy as they were. It did get a bit noisy. They appeared to take great pride in their food, put their own spin on a lot of foods that I grew up on. I wish I had found it sooner, I would have loved to try more of their creations.

I live in the neighbor and frequent here often. The food is always fresh and very good. Yesterday the server was horrible. Brings my latte to the table and it spilled all over. I asked for a simple request and she tried to talk me out of it. Very disappointed.

This was a lovely little discovery. My husband & I went to lake balboa to ride the swan boats today and decided to find some place close for a good healthy breakfast. Hubby found this sweet place. It's in a strip mall so don't that deter you. It was very busy, lovely staff. It seems each brunch menu changes weekend to weekend...fresh, organic ingredients. Hubby had a beautiful biscuits & gravy with turkey sausage and I had a cheddar spinach and grilled onion omelette. So good. They also sell bread, we didn't partake but will next time.

We first selected this restaurant because it offered Gluten Free options. However, we were more than pleasantly surprised. Y the range of options and the amazing service offered by Lauren and supported by the entire staff. The entire menu was appetizing. From the coffee cake to chilaquiles, biscuits and gravy to pancakes, all was delicious.

This place is a hidden gem -- literally snuggled in a small strip center. Very comfortable inside. Several customers were enjoying breakfast while on their laptops. Business people as well as couples with babies in strollers. Food was very good. All 3 of us ordered ala carte -- eggs, pancakes, turkey bacon. Ingredients are local and organic. The 2 young ladies waiting tables were amazing! Very hard workers and still smiling and accommodating! Maybe three parking spots in front. We lucked out as someone was leaving. Return? For sure!!

It was my first time at this place. It's kind of hidden, so you really have to look for it. As I looked over the menu, I didn't find a whole lot to my liking. However, I wanted to eat breakfast, so I ordered The English Putty. Basically, it was an egg on an English muffin with a slice of sausage, fried potatoes and some purple and green stuff, which I think was some kind of salad. On the up side, the egg was fine, as was the sausage and the potatoes. On the down side, the English muffin was tasteless and hard. I tried the salad but it was very bitter. It's not that it was bad, I guess I'm just not into health food.

We had a variety of egg-based dishes in their Sunday brunch. Everything was delicious, as was their coffee. Nice, personal atmosphere, though a little noisy. We'll be back.

Just had the fluffiest pancakes and tastiest breakfast since I don't know when. I had a panwich that had a lemon maple cream chese topper, and wife had an awesome eggs pomodoro which had poached eggs in a zesty cumin tomato sauce with cruchy breAd. It's a gem in a crappy strip mall. But hands down the best pancakes!

We went here during Covid times for breakfast. We ate outside which was fine. The weather was good. There was quite a bit of road noise but that couldn’t be helped. I had the breakfast burrito which was great. My wife had the French toast which was excellent.

Almost every dish I've had here was delicious. They always use quality, yummy ingredients and have friendly service. Their gingerbread pancakes with icing is a must try if you go around the holidays. Only down side to this place is that their weekend bunch menu changes, so if you find a favorite, be prepared to savor it just that once!

Bumble Bee serves organic and natural ingredients provided by local suppliers. The food is always fresh and tastes good. They even bake their own bread. Selections are unique, not your everyday choices. A little expensive for breakfast, however worth it. Whenever we're in LA we have at least one meal but usually more at this great little cafe.

Happened upon this little cafe, that brings forth a sense of European delight... Organic, comfort food... I had biscuits and gravy and he had the Pan-wich... And amazing configuration of pancake, sausage and eggs. The amazing part of said Pan-wich was the lemon marscapone and basil-Apple slaw for the pancake. The perfect combination of sweet and tart. The only thing better than their biscuits and gravy is MY biscuits and gravy... The sausage patty in the middle is the perfect savory bit that's needed. Even the coffee was fantastic! We took pastry to go, so that might have to be a separate review. The only reason I gave it four out of five was the location makes it a little out of the way-- but food and service was perfection!

Beautiful breakfast. Everything is house made from the tortillas in the Huevos Rancheros to the sausage in the biscuits and gravy. Very light and fresh.

This little café is in the middle of nowhere in the valley in a tiny strip with a few dusty shops but you can recognise the Humble Bee by the line of people waiting outside. It is well worth the wait! The service is really good, the decor really cute and the food is fresh and tasty. I had the eggs benedicte and I had to try the pancakes: it was great!

This is my second trip to this establishment and I and always enjoy the fresh and organic food they create. They bake their own bread for the sandwiches and they have some unique drinks that will leave you wanting more. I will eat here again and will give it another five star review As I am very confident they will create more fantastic dishes as their menu changes from time to time. Another San Fernando Valley must!

Omelettes, quesadillas, breakfast burritos, pancakes, homemade sausage and more for breakfast, to the best sandwiches (Italian sub, chicken, tuna to name a few) and salads for lunch, The Humble Bee has it all and it is all delicious! Leave room for house made fresh pastries and cookies. The coffee is wonderful as is the Lavender Lemonade. Weekends are for the weekly changing Brunch menu - the Eggs Benedict is a must! We love the Humble Bee!

We went here on a whim and had one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had. (and i LOVE breakfast) It was a Black Bean Turmeric Tofu Bowl that stood up to my favorite classic breakfast of Chilaquiles. The moment I walked in I felt like I was eating brunch at a friends house on a sunday afternoon. I even bought a jar of this BOMB habanero hot sauce they make in house. Everything from the Arnold palmer my husband got to the potatoes our friend had as a side (and I stole) were amazing ! I can't wait to come back again and again

Parents and I visited Humble Bee the day before Mother's Day for their Brunch. We arrived around 1pm to a very busy restaurant. Only had to wait a few minutes for a table which was fine. My parents ordered the omelet with potatoes and decaf coffee, and I got the Panwich. The food was great. My mom commented that she was surprised at the large amount of ham in the omelet. Mom and dad said the coffee was strong (too them) but continued to allow for refills, so I guess it didn't bother them that much. I sampled the potatoes and they were good. The Panwich comes with julienned apples and maple marscapone. The marscapone was interesting, but not bad. I didn't care for the apples, as they had a bite to them (I'm not much of an apple person though). My parents liked my apples. The Panwich is a large pancake with turkey sausage and eggs sandwiched inside. I asked for and received scrambled eggs (you choose the style). Was surprised that it was not a buttermilk pancake, but after couple of bites, it didn't matter. I would return to this place and order the Panwich again.

My favorite weekend food Is eggs Benedict and Humble Bee makes one of the best. Homemade muffins under always perfectly poached eggs, drizzled with hollandaise that is lemony and rich. Thick ham slice browned on the edges and I add bacon which is thick cut and so perfect. Home potatoes on the side and Paired perfectly with fresh squeezed OJ. Top off the meal with a fresh pastry croissant full of chocolate. You also can't go wrong with their biscuits and gravy and a side of sausage. This place is amazing!

The coffee cake is divine, the eggs pomodoro was perfect, and our vegan salad (I forgot the name) was crisp and refreshing. The prices are slightly high for a more cafe type place, but it was worth it - we enjoyed our meal very much and will definitely be back! Don't miss the lavender lemonade!

Really good breakfast, superb homemade hot sauce as well... which is for sale ! Had the butternut squash frittata, and shared the blueberry pancakes all of which was perfect. Staff went out of their way to sort us with some sauce to take with us.

Stopped at the Humble Bee Cafe for lunch when visiting Northridge on business and I must say the lunch I had (a Turkey Reuben Sandwich with Chips) was top quality and mighty delicious. Cost was reasonable at US$12 for my sandwich and chips. The cafe also had great service, friendly staff and a nice rustic ambiance. You can buy 'produce' in the cafe like jars of different honey. There are a couple of tables outside but in my view the best spots are inside the cafe. Would certainly recommend this fabulous cafe and the Turkey Reuben sandwich. Open Monday to Sunday 7:30am until 3:30pm, so basically a breakfast and lunch joint.

Due to the reviews we were attracted to this place and driving in, first impression was; are we at the right place? We were. The outside is deceiving the food inside was, well the best breakfast in a long time. I don't look forward to breakfast, but the Humble Bee could be a regular treat for me. The meals were innovative and tasty and on top of it all, presented very well, not just your eggs (without shells, please). Leaving, I just had to look back at the humble location. What a treasure!

Girlfriend took me here for lunch and had a surprisingly enjoyable time. The food was a solid 7/10 for me. Good luck finding parking if it’s busy tho

Heard a lot of good things about this small establishment so when I had the chance I stopped in for a late breakfast. Parking out front is minimal and competitive with other adjacent businesses, but there is more in back, and since it was late morning it wasn't a problem. Specifically, I went for the panwich which is a house specialty and consists of sausage patties topped with two fried eggs and wrapped in a pancake like a taco. It is topped with small apple slices cut like fries with a dollop of heavy whip cream. Yum, outstanding! The apples were a nice complement to a rather hearty portion which some could easily split with a friend. The coffee was very good too. Afterward I stopped by their bakery counter and ordered a cinnamon role to go. This was covered with a clear glaze rather than the heavy white frosting that is typical of many businesses. This also was delicious. So, overall this is definitely worth a breakfast stop, though, I understand weekends are a challenge with the crowds. Breakfast entrees run around $11.

We discovered this thru our Mileage Dining website. We have made this a regular stop for breakfast. They have fresh healthy menu items along with a bakery. They also make there own jams, salsa among other items. I go for their vegetarian omelet, bee-ritos, and their Huevos Rancheros. All are delicious, and unique preparations.
Loved the Humble Bee
Visited the Humble Bee twice for breakfast on a recent trip to the San Fernando Valley. The location is easily overlooked, but the food is not. Both visits were on the weekend when they have a weekend brunch menu. The coffee was great, and the lemon infused cheese danish were the best cheese danish I've ever eaten, hands down. House made sausage and unique biscuits and gravy are well worth the trip. Everything on the menu looked great, and everything I tasted was very good. I will be back!
