Delicious

Excellent excellent margaritas!! Happy hour margaritas are full strength and worth the 6$ happy hour price! Guacamole=delicious. Atmosphere is friendly and attentive. Excellent afternoon happy hour!

Not as good as we remembered

By Vermont45 |

Drinks = Tasty Food = Salty Service was superb and the atmosphere is good. Could have continued to drink throughout the afternoon there. Very good drinks.

No flavor and runny pico de gallo

By Loren L |

The vegan carnitas tacos were presented nicely but, had no flavor to them. The beans tasted like caned bake beans and the rice was flavorless as well. The pico de gallo looked like a tomato soup with no chunks. The chicken and shrimp fajitas had no seasoning and were over cooked. Unfortunately the waitress had limited menu knowledge. She could not identify menu items with gluten, which is very important since I identified myself as having severe allergies and intolerances. As well attention to details on her own table were poor. The food came out for a free for all and plates were pretty much auctioned off for the recipients. Water glasses remained empty for a long while. This all took place when the restaurant was not busy

Quick lunch with the wife

By Hendersoned |

Tasty tacos, fish, shrimp and steak tacos between the two of us. Well done, everyone. Get you own soda, bottomless chips for $1.95, very enjoyable lunch.

I like the one in Mexico better

By pwulkan |

Nice setting,Nice efficient staff. The tacos were a bit greasy, like you would get from a street vendor in Mexico. Worth a visit. I go back just to give it a fair chance.

Save your money

By Melody B |

They really hyped up their margaritas and I felt it was poor-mediocre compared to all the other ones I had while in Vegas and elsewhere. I had a margarita earlier in the day and we returned after a show for dinner. Our server was attentive until we didn’t order mixed drinks, then she bailed on us for other tables. While we were there a fight almost broke out at the table next to us (it appeared to be locals wearing serving uniforms getting together after work) and our waitress didn’t bring our bill so we could get our kids away from the situation. The situation at the other table was obvious and we had been done for awhile, we were just waiting to pay so we could leave. All in all, my margarita wasn’t very good, neither of our kids liked their tacos (one chicken, one beef so pretty basic and hard to make undesirable), and the service was mediocre at best. Combine that with the fight that almost broke out, we will not be recommending this place to others.

Viva Hussong's

By Mike O |

This was a very nice surprise. We stopped in for lunch, and after being to the one in Ensanada, it was a nice change of pace. We had tacos and margaritas, and all were great. The service was very attentive, friendly and helpful with decisions. We will be back.

Hussong the Hero

By NYTravelerBD |

I was very impressed by the quality of the Mexican fare at this cutely decorated lunch spot in the Mandalay Bay Shoppes. The tortilla soup was outstanding, as was the chicken burrito that I ordered, and the waiter was great. Our 9.5 year old daughter ordered from the children's menu and enjoyed what I assume to be the authentic Mexican delicacy known as chicken fingers and fries. Great restaurant!

Great food, great service, great atmosphere

By Tash M |

Had a really great meal! One of the few places which has vegan options which aren't completely extortionate! I had the salmon though and it was lovely :) Our server Regina was so awesome!

Great Mexican dinner

By Giovanni K |

Excellent Mexican cuisine, courteous and attentive Service from the staff (in my case I was served by a very kind Danielle). Average prices in Las Vegas.

Great value for the Strip!

By Robert77096 |

Our food tasted really good. Great attentive service. Surprisingly large portions at a fair price for a restaurant at a Strip hotel! I would not hesitate to return.

Great food and atmosphere

By mika06_11 |

Delicious food and great service! Shout out to our server, David O. Highly recommend this restaurant! Especially the street corn :)

We Went Wrong With Hussong's

By Imaspacecowboy |

As a friend put it to me when I told him about our experience at Hussong's Cantina, "the name should have been a clue". I'm vegetarian so we had high hopes for this restaurant as they have a vegetarian/vegan menu. Well those hopes were squashed when our Vegan Veggie Delight Tacos arrived at our table. To put it simply the food was awful, Taco Bell is much better. The tacos had no flavor, if they were using any kind of seasoning they missed it on our plate. We both ate about half of a taco and could not stomach another bite. To make matters worse the beans were barely warm and the rice must have been scaped from the bottom of the pot from the offerings of the day before. Maybe their meat dishes are better, because we cannot understand how the ratings are good for this restaurant. We complained to our waitress, but our complaint fell on deaf ears. I wasn't in the mood for a confrontation with the manager so we left still hungry and very unsatisfied with our entire experience.

A nice surprize, above my expectations

By ricpatw |

I know it has good ratings, but was not expecting as good of food for reasonable prices. I was nice it was in the hallway strip mall between Luxor and Mandalay bay.(staying at Mandalay) Short walk was nice after a long day in the Convention Center.

Ok if you are in the area

By iowatraveler918 |

Stopped for dinner. Service was excellent. A bit pricy for what I expected. Carnitas were dry and pretty tasteless. Fantastic flout tortillas. I'd probably not eat here again.

Good drinks

By xxWOOGIExx |

I stopped by Hussong's for happy hour. The Margaritas were really awesome. Even better is the bar tender was a great guy and very friendly. We talked Vegas and Sports and it made happy hour very fun. I recommend.

Still Great food and fun

By seawolf1963 |

Hussongs at Boca Park in Las Vegas is a casual TexMex restaurant that has great fun and good food at fair prices.

Two visits

By Curtis D |

Looking for one restaurant and found Hussong's. Amanda, bartender and waitress, was outstanding! The margaritas and barbacoa nachos were delicious. Highly recommended!

Dinner

By sarahlw77 |

Excellent, friendly, and efficient service. Baha shrimp tacos were great. Frozen Margaritas delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant at Mandalay Bay shops.

My "Go To" for Mexican when staying at Mandalay Bay

By ctsmithiii |

Hussong's is my "go to" for Mexican whenever I'm at a conference at the Mandalay Bay Conference Center. The roasted tomato salsa is awesome. I usually get a couple of tacos with the rice and beans along with the chips and salsa.

Great service and excellent margaritas

By Global425379 |

Came for a neighborhood gathering. The appetizers were good, and the drinks were even better. Highly recommend!

10/10

By Brandon P |

Jessica peachey the morning bartender was the best. Attentive, and great customer service. Everyone should go see her. Side note she’s damn cute too

Great Tacos

By Dov-The-Bear |

The fam ate here for lunch, I had the speciality tacos (which you were able to mix and match!) settled for Pork, Shrimp & Baja Fish. Each one was outstanding! Very tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu advising all the specials that were on that day etc and provided service with a smile :) was a little quite as it was early afternoon during the week but was still a nice atmosphere in the place, would love to go back during busier hours. p.s. Try a margarita ;-)

Good Mexican in LV market

By 600JohnD |

If you are in Boca Park, LV, Hussong is a great choice for lunch. Decent margaritas, but great tacos and a quesadillas. The shredded pork and shredded beef are the best choices. Good service.

Did not meet expectations according to other reviews… perhaps we didn’t order the right plates??

By marie g |

Fun atmosphere, walked right in, the wait was long to get a server to come to our table, the chips were hot and the salsa was good. I had the birria burrito and I was sick all night! The carnitas were Not worthy and the pricing was outrageous… did not meet expectations…

Great service and food

By stevebintley |

Lovely restaurant and I’ll be visiting again. I initially only went in for a drink at the bar but the service was superb and with a good choice of snacks on the menu I couldn’t resist - the Diablo Shrimp was truly superb. It was listed as an appetiser but was a great portion size with amazing textures and taste. The atmosphere is brilliant and loads to admire in the decor too. Toilets are a bit of a trek down the shopping centre corridor but otherwise I’ll be revisiting next time I’m in the city and will be ordering the same again!

Recommend!

By Caroline R |

Delicious food, great atmosphere and our server Jane was awesome! I was there with my cousins and we had a blast. I highly recommend this place:-).

A must stop on every visit!

By lvcindyh |

Such a warm and friendly place. The girls at the front are great. Phil behind the bar is awesome! Regina and Danielle are the best waitresses! The entire staff is just so hard working and kind. Love the barbacoa fahitas or the chile releno. So good! Enjoy!

Delicious, filling, and great prices.

By Bren |

One of our favorite meals on our trip was here. We love Mexican food and were pleased with the service, the food and the prices. Our server brought several different salsas and chips to start with. We ordered fajitas (more meat and veggies than we had shells for), quesadillas, enchiladas, burrito and cheese dip. Everything was delicious!!! My least favorite was the burrito but everything else was spot on!!! A lot of food for the price too!

Hussongs

By Raymond S |

Relaxed atmosphere more of a pub feeling than a restaurant. Staff was attentive. The fish tacos were good.

Great dinner!

By Lisa H |

Food was great! So were the margaritas!!!! The service was fantastic!!! We will visit again. I highly recommend to anyone who comes to Las Vegas

Authentic Mexican food, and so good!!

By Debra G N |

Great service, fair pricing and the food was so delicious and very fresh. Would definitely recommend, it was my first visit - won’t be my last!

This is a chain. I have not

By Annette M |

This is a chain. I have not been to any other locations. I liked the atmosphere. Wonderful waitress. They had some mariachi singers who were not very good making the rounds to tables. Chips and salsa were good. Margarita was wonderful. Then came the dinner. There were 4 of us. We all ordered different dishes and were underwhelmed. I had an enchilada with rice and beans. How can you ruin that? I would not go back.

Giant, Tasty Tex-Mex Portions in a Sports Theme Bar & Restaurant

By Badger Traveler |

A local took me here when I was visiting the area. We all had a good meal and the service was great. My burrito was excellent (but way, way too big). I'd rather have the option to get a smaller portion at a lower price. The atmosphere was hopping and the staff was busy but they regularly checked in on us. They also have a large bar and many tap choices if you like to have a beer with your meal.

Lunch

By Jill M |

I ordered the multiple chicken tacos plate with side of rice and beans. The tacos were soft shelled which i didnt expect but the chicken was so tasteless and no spice or vibe. Beans and rice were equally bland. I didnt see any green in the tacos. It didnt look like the pics. My guests had the chicken Flautas .The portion size was large and impressive but had the same ‘tasteless’ chicken and too much lime juice. The fried icecream dessert we had with frosted flakes and coconut was really a delicious treat and enjoyed by all. Overall - disappointing experience.

$$$ = Zero Value!

By Marith H |

We shared fajitas (all served in to-go containers even though we were dining in), had a beer and a margarita, chips & salsa, total cost $35! Much better food at the same price at Cantina Laredo, even Chipotle! Not even comparable to Baja Fresh! Food was blah & looked very unappetizing! Small portions! Messy salsa bar. First and last visit!

Not for me...

By Nancy B |

Not really feeling this place. Went for a Friday happy hour. Firstly, I'm not a fan of the "order at the counter, we'll bring it to you" thing. Am I at a sit down restaurant or a Cafe Rio/Chipotle? The menu felt confusing and was ridiculously limited. It basically is a Chipotle with booze, except the food at Chipotle is way better. I had the carnitas salad, which consisted of romaine lettuce, pickled onions, carnitas and some awful pork rind thingies. Nothing particularly interesting, inventive or good about it. The food came quickly and the margarita was fine. Another thing that bugged me was one of the giant TVs was tuned to a network evening news program. I don't know about you, but when I want drinks and fun evening out, seeing various dramas/tragedies being broadcast doesn't exactly add to my experience. This was a one and done for me, I won't be back.

Please don't

By Michelle T |

Verrrry meh food. No ambiance whatsoever. I guess it was food, is all I can say. I love the Mandalay Bay pool, but much prefer all the food down at Aria and Bellagio.

Excellent food, friendly staff and fun environment

By CrazyDaisy9 |

The food is really good quality, prices are decent and portions are large. The staff is very friendly and helpful even when really busy. The food prep is quick and they are very attentive. We ordered tacos and enchiladas and they were fantastic.

3.5 Stars

By Liz F |

Great service, delicious smoky salsa, fish tacos were ok, beans and rice were not so good. Fun place.

Dinner.

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner on a weeknight. It wasn’t crowded. I had the fajitas which were pretty good. The waiter was also fairly nice. It was a good meal.

Yummy!

By Heather |

Raquel our waitress was super friendly. Carne Asada tacos were delicious. The salsa was top notch! We will eat here again before we leave. I would recommend eating here.

Fantastic find

By Rick and Sonya Pevan |

Great original margaritas.. free chips and amazing salsa. The Barbacoa fajita was the best we ever had. Highly recommend

A surprise!

By snosrapdk |

We were wondering around near our hotel (Suncoast) and came across this little place nearby. Of course, the Hussong's in Ensenada, Mexico is very famous. This place reminds me of a sport's bar as there are lots of screens displaying various sporting events. It's a bit on the small side. We came on a midweek evening and it was not busy, although there are lots of other stores around and we actually had to park a ways away. My wife and I were seated right away. I ordered the enchiladas and my wife got a side order of beans. All the food came quickly and it was very good. Of course, the complimentary chips were served. What was outstanding here was the three sauces that came with the chips. Some of the best sauces we have ever had! We did not have any alcohol so cannot comment on that. Our waitress was just a doll! The manager was also very friendly and attentive.

Margarita was good, food was not good

By gleem |

Very limited menu, so I had order of Nachos with Cornitas, and my husband had 2 tacos with the Cornitas. We didn't bother with the salsa or salsa bar as they were not appetizing at all after getting his soft drink from the machine. Both of the entries were really strange, we didn't care for the presentation, and my husband didn't like the meat in the tacos. Service was good, original margarita was good, but that's the only positive things that I can say. Would not return again.

Very good food

By Vacation58737105862 |

Great food. Good service. Convenient. Reasonably priced especially for Vegas. It even has a vegan menu which is a nice alternative to most other restaurants here.

Delicious & Accomodating

By Skyler P |

My friends and I were in Las Vegas for a few days and when here for dinner our first night. Im vegan and one of our friends has a peanut allergy so we had to find somewhere to accommodate all of us and this place was amazing. Atmosphere is beautiful, there was even a mariachi band playing when we were there and they sounded great. Very impressive vegan menu, I wish I could’ve visited again to try more things but our trip was too short! I got a frozen margarita and the stacked quesadilla and they did not disappoint. Staff was very kind, service was fast (and there were 8 of us!), and portions were awesome! I would definitely recommend and if I am ever in the area again I’ll definitely be back.

Reunion Birthday trip

By KKP |

Upon coming up to the restaurant I wasn’t quite sure what to expect as it was located in the mall area of Mandalay Bay in Vegas. We did make reservations as it was a Friday evening and there were 7 of us for dinner at 9:00 We were sat promptly and the server was attentive I enjoyed the personal touch of live music consisting of three men playing acoustic guitar with the sounds of Mexico they even came over to the table and asked for any requests. food came out pretty quickly it was delicious.

Awesome dinner!

By Stella M |

Great service, great food!! We had beef and shrimp fajitas, and for dessert churros with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and strawberry on the side. Great music too!! Very yummy!!! Will definitely return.

Date night

Carne Asada a Must Try

By Victor C |

After a long day of travel, we were hungry and decided to try this restaurant. Ordered the carne asada skirt steak and it was great! Lots of flavor on the plate. You will not be disappointed.

A must do!

By TroyDMay |

Well this place has been left in our bucket list… A must every visit because we love good Mexican food. The Margaritas are on point always for the wife mostly. Draft beers are as cold as they get 9 out of ten times. Service has always treated us well and timely.

Had a good visit with my friends. The server was always there to serve us but she was careful not to intrude on us .

By Bruce W |

Great time. We would have no problem with returning next year when we reconvene in Las Vegas. Consider us satisfied customers.

Nice Mexican meal!

By Wicked04 |

I dined here for lunch on a busy Tuesday afternoon. There was a large conference crowd, but we were able to get two spots at the bar. The food was good. The drinks were well made and overall the atmosphere was fun. The prices were also very fair considering it was just about a hotel restaurant. I would recommend it to someone who is in the area and I would absolutely go back if I found myself in the same spot again for lunch.

Delicious fast lunch

By Darlleen H |

Rachele helped pick my lunch she did an excellent job. She was very friendly and helpful and kept my water glass filled. Would recommend the tostada salad, the jalapeños vinaigrette is delicious. The salsa has a great flavor.

Great Mexican food

By Diane E |

We had a groupon - read the fine print as it can not be used for happy hour items- their happy hour is very great $5 margaritas - tacos - Quesadilla-chips & salsa $2 you could easily fill up just on happy hour - I had the shrimp taco2 (2) which came with rice & beans was very good lots of tasty seasoned shrimp I did ask for no sauce- this place is for those that love hot food very few dish that are not spicy but that is the fare at most Mexican restaurants- Service was excellent very friendly always willing to please - we sat out side which I love to watch the people go by - Very nice restaurant would love to try their taco Tuesdays and bring my own mild taco sauce /salsa

Great Mexican experience

By Randy Y |

We accidentally stumbled upon Hussongs and are very glad we did. The food and drinks are very authentic and delicious. Make sure you try a margarita!

MARGARITAS!!!

By Mo2hawks |

OK, not the best ambiance, but the warm chips are amazing and you pick from a salsa bar which salsas you like, which was great! The food is very good and plentiful, and the margaritas were spot on. I will definitely go back---probably during happy hour or on a Sunday when they do all day happy hour. The food prices arent bad but the drinks are a little pricey.

Very fast service !

By Trek36364088586 |

David O He was friendly. He was very knowledgeable about drinks and food ! And helped with decisions on food and drink. The service was super fast

Daughter's must "have when" she comes home from college

By Flat Stanley explores the World |

My second review of this great place tucked across from Grimaldi's and Total Wine, it has a very cute outside terrace. Like many restaurants these days under 25% cap mandate, I was shocked how empty they were after calling to make reservations. The food was delicious as always, of course we had GREAT service with multiple refills of chips & the 2 salsa choices. We all tried new dishes, my daughter, who chose to come here as her Mexican of choice in LV while home from college. My wife had chicken tacos and really enjoyed them. My daughter had the tortilla soup and though I did not, she thought it delicious. I had the Torta special. I'm not sure really what it was, I think a marinated chicken long sandwich. It was tasty. Of course we came for the pitcher of margaritas, but ... here's why it's not a 5, the price was exorbitant! We were shocked, even though they are of course the best in town. So we just got 2 individuals. The price of everything seemed to nearly double since we last visited. I realize the pandemic has put the push on every business, but this is not the way they will find themselves at 25% full when so many others are cutting prices to bring in customers. We will probably go again. I appreciated the military discount that defrayed the price, but it won't be until amnesia sets in or we here the prices are back to reasonable.

Did not like the margarita

By Hitcher84 |

Had nachos and margaritas. The margaritas were a let down to be honest with you. Nachos were ok. If you have to eat in this area, this is inexpensive, relatively speaking.

Must go to while in Vegas!

By Getaway795721 |

David was awesome server, super friendly and helpful. Food and atmosphere were excellent. Very authentic Mexican vibes. Maybe that’s just the jalapeño pineapple margarita taking, lol. All seriousness, great food, staff and overall vibes.

Different and REALLY GOOD

By RJ J |

We asked an employee at Total Wine about Hussong's and she said, "Its really good!" So we decided to have lunch there. The food was REALLY GOOD and Bridget, our Server, was a DELIGHT! We love spicy food and Hussong's even sliced some habanero peppers for us. My wife said the Margarita was exceptional and as good as the ones she makes at home. The Tortilla Soup was a bit different than what I am used to, but still very delicious. Their Veggie Delight Taco Plate was also a bit different, but delicious. My Chicken Burrito was HUGE, it was a plate of food wrapped in one tortilla... AWESOME! How good was Hussong's? Well, my wife made me put their contact info in my phone before we left because she wants to return the next time we are in Las Vegas!!!

My "go to" Mexican when I'm in the Mandalay Bay/Delano/FourSeasons, Luxor, Excalibur complex

By ctsmithiii |

Consistently great food. I've had the huevos rancheros, enchiladas three ways, and carnitas tacos. I always get a double order of the roasted tomatillo salsa to go with the chips. I'll be back on my next trip to these MGM properties.

Great vibe and food !

By becky h |

Saira was a fabulous server and the food 10/10. Corn( shaved from cob ) excellent ! Guac was great as well. Fair prices also. Highly recommend !

Amazing lunch

By Jennifer P |

Food and margaritas are amazing! Our favorite is the cucumelon margaritas! Saira was a wonderful server! Very nice and personable!

By candace_vee |

Pretty sure that was the best margarita I’ve ever had! Food and service were great also! We will definitely return next trip!

Great service!

By Mobile747311 |

Nice atmosphere for families, friends, and couples. Good music! Great Margaritas. I ordered the Chimichanga with red and cheese sauce. I will be back!!!

Birthday dinner!

By Hendersoned |

The whole family likes coming here there's something for everyone. My daughter is a vegetarian and they have a substantial vegetarian menu. The rest of us ate chicken pork and beef it was all outstanding I love the chipotle salsa so very smoky flavor we also got guacamole during happy hour for only three dollars and case so dip which was very Flavorful but sadly not a vegetarian Item, it has chorizo. Two of us got tostadas I highly recommend that I take it Todd Steiner but twice as tall lots of salad it was really good .

Best vegan Mexican food

By Celeste D |

Ruben A great waiter. The vegan food always excellent. We come here often during football season and love eating here. We keep coming back.

Best Margaritas in town

By Martin L |

Hussong's Virgin but not anymore. Hands down the best Margaritas I have ever had. Both the Classic and the Cadillac. The complimentary chips and 2 salsas were amazing. The fire-roasted one I could drink out of the bowl. The shrimp ceviche was super fresh and super tasty. Great place to watch NFL football. Can't wait to go back to taste the rest of the menu and have another Margarita. The service was super and felt super comfortable with the seating and social distance and all that. Is it lunchtime yet?

Very good food

By Randy Y |

Everything we've had at Hussongs has been outstanding. All the food dishes we have tried have been fantastic. Amazingly the one thing that wasn't as good was the margaritas, which is supposed to be their specialty. Not bad, just not great.

Good food and atmosphere

By Montanacusine |

Had the chicken burrito and it tasted very fresh. Chips and salsa were good which came with two salsas that were made in house. Our server was very attentive.

Delicious

By Hollie C |

The food and service at this restaurant is top knotch! They weren't lying, they are the home of the Margarita! The tastiest Margaritas I have ever tasted. A MUST!

Great margaritas!

By Jennifer H |

Stopped in for a snack and drink before heading to the Chiefs/Raiders game. Service was super quick for as busy as they were. Chicken Nachos hit the spot and the margaritas were awesome. Server was super friendly and did a great job!

Easy, delicious, enjoyable

By OnAir628561 |

Service was quick, friendly, and informative. Good food portions. Margatitas hit the spot. Would definitely go back.

You can't go wrong with Hussong's

By T J |

Went to Hussong's with my brother, hadn't been there since 2011 but glad to stay it's still going strong! It's located in the mall area between Mandalay Bay and Luxor, has really good Mexican food, margaritas, etc. Prices were a little steep for what it was but that's Vegas for you. Glad we made it back, service was excellent and I look forward to my next visit.

Great value

By Okie TK |

Great value. Happy hour on Sunday is the best! Tacos, Quesadillas, and the Grilled corn is over the top! Very good service, and if it's cool, you can sit outside.

Good Mexican food

By Jonathan H |

The Bartender Selena S was super friendly. She explained the food specials. Took time to help me select the right drink. Her customer service was amazing.

Best Mexican food in Vegas

By LisaM81 |

Hussong’s is our favorite Mexican food in Vegas. Delicious guac, skinny margs, and tacos and the service is always outstanding. Danielle is amazing!

Lovely food

By A8115XMJulie |

Have to say we had lovely food and good service, I have a problem with spices even the smallest amount, so when asked for the nachos with just cheese, chicken and beans Larissa was very accommodating and made sure that is what I got, my husband had the barbacoa tacos and he really enjoyed them. Would definitely recommend it makes such a change from burgers

Great place

By Shieryl |

Our waitress Regina was excellent. Food was good, fair priced. Place was nice as well. Fair priced in Vegas. Will be back.

Awesome dining experience

By Reviews4U |

My servers name was Zack very friendly, super accommodating. Very polite managers they came over and said hello at the table. The food was exactly the way I wanted it. And the entertainment was a beautiful lady name Nieve Malandra everyone was clapping and enjoying the vibe of the Variety of music I will bring more friends and family to see Nieve she completed the dining atmosphere experience to a new enjoyable level! Definitely worth a review on my website JamesZito

Bland carnitas tacos used to be awesome

By Scott S |

Atmosphere (after a Raiders game across the interstate) was hopping. Hosts found us a good table fast though, after I recognized the server from my May 2021 visit. In that review I gushed about the unforgettable flavors of the carnitas tacos. This time they were the blandest tasting I have ever eaten. There was a lot of meat in the tacos however. In the event someone out there likes to seek out great carnitas, this is not the place to go. Fortunately, my companion was mistakenly brought "Beef Barbacoa" which I spotted immediately by its red color. He kept it and was pleased with it.

Tasty Margaritas and great service

By Dave H |

David O. Was a great server and the margaritas were as advertised and tasted great! Food was great and the mini Birria tacos and cheesy Ensenada beef burrito were fantastic. It was our first time here and David hooked us up with a free cheesy bean dip. If you in the Mandalay Bay check this place out!

Good options for vegetarians

By twosintow |

As vegetarians, we appreciated the wide selection of options and that alone might be worth a trip (maybe during happy hour). I found the food to be average but the price points were fairly high for what you were getting in terms of quality. The portion sizes were a bit all over the place.

Impressive vegetarian choices

By Hitcher84 |

This is not a vegetarian restaurant, but they had a pretty extensive vegan menu. I had jackfruit tacos that were delicious. It is pretty reasonably priced too. The restaurant is in the Mandalay Bay shops. It is one of the more affordable options in the resort complex. Service was good. Of course, it is also a bar, but I think family friendly enough.

TREMENDOUS TACOS AND QUESADILLA!

By 2014jcjc |

We happened to be out and about and stopped in at the Cantina around 3 pm -- just in time for Happy Hour (3-6). We ordered the Barbacoa Taco and cheese Quesadilla off the Happy Hour" menu. They were delicious. We will be back to sample their famous margaritas!! Very fun place!!

Nice change from standard Vegas

By Cherry T |

Friendly staff, quick service. I ordered the Tostada salad, really good with corn, black beans, lettuce and grilled chicken with many other tasty bits. I don't drink tequila, Irwin suggested vodka. Liked it was on the rocks, not blended. Good, a little sweet for my taste. Will come back my next visit.

Still good but!!!

By seawolf1963 |

We were at Hussongs at Boca Park today, Sunday 1/6/2019 for a drinking brunch! Prior to today I checked their site to make sure that it was a Happy Hour and the Happy Hour menu. When we got there the food and service was good however when I checked the bill some of what we order was at a regular, not Happy Hour price. Since I had guests I did not argue and just paid the bill. However when I got home I again checked the site and found that what I was charged was twice what was on the site Happy Hour price. I then called and spoke with the manager. He stated that the Happy Hour menu had changed but the site was not changed. He offered nothing, not even an apology. Oh well!!

Nice lunch option

By Marti_R_Cortez |

Service was great - Jasmine was attentive, prompt, food was fresh and delivered quickly. Fish tacos were awesome, salsa bar was delicious.

Review of Veganuary Special

By Jason P |

This is my second visit to this very nice establishment in the attractive Boca Park shopping center. On this visit I ordered the special Veganuary three course meal (only served in January--so only a few days left to get this in 2019). The meal is entirely vegan. The first course was two sopes which are small, round cornmeal patties topped with beans, lettuce, vegan shredded cheese, vegan sour cream, pico de gallo, and micro greens. This dish was very good--although it might be a bit bland for some tastes--but it was filling and I enjoyed it. The second course was vegan beef enchiladas topped with either green or red sauce and served with rice and beans. The portion size was generous, especially the amount of vegan beef chunks in the enchiladas and the rice. I got it with the red sauce and that was tasty. The beans were okay and I liked that they were refried and not salty tasting. However the rice was the major disappointment of the meal as it was way too salty for my taste and the other flavors of the rice didn't appeal to me at all. The third course is a vegan chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and chile de arbol strawberry sauce. This was outstanding--unique and delicious. Both the frosting and sauce were well prepared and I highly recommend this dish. Chips with two different salsas are complimentary and are served after you are seated. The chips were excellent and the salsas (one a fire-roasted tomato salsa I think) and the other a typical red salsa that is similar to salsas served at other Mexican restaurants were okay but I wouldn't say above average. The value for the Veganuary special was excellent and their prices overall are very reasonable as their portions are generous (thinking about my previous visit as well). My server was outstanding--courteous and authentically friendly and enthusiastic. Really I wanted to give 4 and a half stars considering the excellent service but Trip Advisor doesn't allow that. If they can make their rice more appealing, and perhaps include a side salad option my rating will go up to five stars--but I still highly recommend this restaurant. This is also a nice place to go on the weekend for lunch as it is not busy.

Beware of Rocks

By Tailee S |

Beware of rocks in your food. We ordered the black and white burrito and in my very first bite, I chomped hard on a rock. I flagged down my waiter and he took the burrito away and a manager appeared and explained that sometimes there’s rocks in the black beans and they “should” get sorted out. This one unfortunately got missed. She encouraged me to order something else, so even though my mouth hurt, I went ahead and ordered tacos. When we received our bill nothing was comped, the only thing that was taken off was the burrito…I still paid for my tacos. No apology was issued. If this is a rare experience, you would think they would put more effort into making it up to the customer. Any gesture would have been appreciated. Now I need to make an appointment for the dentist.

Awful and Dishonest Service

By FB6 |

💩 💩 💩 I am SERIOUSLY boycotting Hussong’s in the Boca Park shopping center. We went there for Valentine’s Day and the service was disgusting. We we’re one of three small groups dining in. The servers chatted with each other and played with their phones right in front of us. No plates, napkins, straws, boxes for leftovers. They just hung out like they were guests, not employees. So we made a conscious decision not to leave a tip. I am a big tipper usually!! We crossed out the tip section clearly. Today, I checked my bank record and they added a $10 tip anyway. Conveniently, an unauthorized debit charge was made shortly after our trip to the restaurant to a nearby Smith’s gas for $150! The bank thinks it’s related. They attempted more charges, but the bank caught them. I’m just disgusted.

Great food good price

Food was great, mix and match combo came with 3 items, chips and salsa great, option for the spicy salsa if you like spicy, drinks are good as well

Great Food, Classic Margaritas, and Outstanding Service by Irvin

By Pgendreau |

We stopped into Hussong’s Cantina in Vegas not really knowing what to expect, and walked out completely impressed. We started with the mango guacamole, and it was the perfect opener—fresh, chunky, and just the right touch of sweetness from the mango. Paired with their original margaritas, which are simple, refreshing, and true to the classic recipe, it felt like the ideal combo to kick things off. We also had the ceviche (light and citrusy), which balanced out the richness of the guac. But honestly, what made the night wasn’t just the food or drinks—it was the service. Our server Irvin was outstanding. From the moment we sat down, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He was quick with refills, patient when we had questions, and genuinely friendly the entire time. You could tell he cared about us enjoying ourselves, which isn’t always the case in a busy Vegas spot. By the end of the night, we all agreed: the food was great, the margaritas lived up to the hype—but Irvin’s service is what made it memorable. Hussong’s is definitely a place we’ll go back to, not just for the guac and drinks, but because of how well we were treated.

My Brother- in- Law finally got something right

By frankww123 |

Where do you want to go to eat is something that always comes up and when Stan suggested Hussongs I went along. So glad I did. The place was a surprise from the moment we arrived. As I was walking to my table I spied a dish of guacamole that I had to have. WHAT A TREAT! Thick and chunky but not overly so and the flavor was fantastic. Then I mixed and matched my tacos, who's ever heard of chicken Al Pastor? Not me and it didn't disappoint. The highlight however was Stan raving about the pork belly tacos in fact he can't stop talking about them. Service was perfect, in fact everything was perfect. Only problem is that there is no Hussongs where I live.

Great value for money

By itsjustcat |

Had dinner reservation at a later time but hostess was able to seat us early. We ordered a pitcher of frozen margarita and that was plenty enough to share. The salsa and dips were good. Huge portions of entrees. Good food overall.

Good food, excellent service, FUN!

By Mike B |

Let me preface this with I hate Vegas! We found Hussongs in the Mandalay Bay resort. Drinks were reasonable, We had 32 oz margaritas with a short Pacifico added, 15$ on Thursdays. Food was great and also reasonable. The mariachi band was fantastic and fun. All in all a very nice experience.

Great Mexican dining + Margaritas

By Joseph R |

My Las Vegas family took me there not long ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The food, drinks and service was very fine.

Swing By!

By Aaron K |

Jose and Crystal went above and beyond to ensure that my company and I had an exceptional experience for our dinner. Even if the casino wasn’t on our side, these two made up for it. Food was solid and honestly the best bang for my buck since I’ve been here. The alcohol menu is extensive and overall would recommend swinging by while you’re in the area.

THE untold unsung Best Sunday Lunch in Boco Park, Summerlin

By Flat Stanley explores the World |

First.. this is my first 5 I've given, as far as I can remember. And I only post when I think a place is worth a public compliment. I've only been to Hussong's once.. so I'll stay objective, despite this first impression rating. I'm certain we'll return and if my opinion changes I'll return to the post and edit it. We entered right when they opened on Sunday at 1100 after we got out of church. First ones in so we initially had singular devoted service. This place was a complete surprise.. it needs to get it's cat out of the bag. They have "Happy Hour" all day Sunday. I could almost stop there.. But with the Happy Hour not only did we get discounts on drinks but on a full slate of their Tacos and other snacks, we got class, quality, value (of course), service (with great advice), great taste, and a presentation, bar none. I'll attach a picture of one of my Barbacoa tacos. Even though this Summerlin restaurant is fairly new, the company has been in Las Vegas for more than 125 years, and their experience showed. The house nachos with Barbacoa Steak were exquisite. The margarita we chose was The Bulldog. Again it's presentation was unique, in that it had a 7 oz corona stuck in it upside down. I was nevertheless surprised when I discovered they invented the Margarita! (no kidding) My wife and adult son enjoyed our "brunch" for just over $25. I found I would have received a mil discount if it had not been Happy Hour. Here's what tops it off to me: even though we had to "pay" for bottomless nachos and salsa, it was only a couple dollars (literally, $2) and included 4 varieties of salsa, and would have kept coming if we'd wanted more, but we had more than we wanted. I'm sure if you took the chance to give this place a try, you'll return to my review and mark this "helpful," or thank me later :). We added the Guac.. no disappointment with that either!

Hussongs is great!

By ctmkcraigs |

Our server Regina Q. was on top of everything from the moment we arrived. She stopped back several times during our meal just to be sure all was going well. The food and drinks were great but Regina made it perfect! Don’t hesitate going to this restaurant!

No reason to go back

By Tim T |

The food was mediocre, even some of the simplest dishes they managed to over do, over season and over price. The menus were beaten up and dirty. The restaurant was clean but empty. The waiter, Zack, was excellent. He did the best he could with what is a poor product.

A little salty

By Michael M |

Pretty much everything I ate, my first thought was "A little salty". By the end of the meal it was just too much. Good atmosphere and great staff but the food was not to my taste.

Great emplyee

By Donnie T |

Been here several times while visiting Vegas over the last couple of years, but this time Raquel R. was awesome and made our lunch enjoyable!

I know it is a chain, but had great Mexican food here.

By John T |

We stopped in for an early lunch as they were opening. We are from Florida, and the available Mexican and Tex-Mex food there is so-so. Hussong's was great! Everything about the meal was fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was spot on, and very attentive. Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. We found the prices to be very reasonable too.

Delicious

By Megan C |

David was a great server! I saw fajitas go by but couldn’t find them on the menu and he recommended them right away. Also provided to go cups for the margarita I didn’t finish. Great spot for a quick bite!

So Good

By Richard S |

Are you kidding me? Soooo much better than my visit to Loco Cantina on the other side of town! Came in for a taco and was told it was All Day Happy Hour for Election Day. The carnitas taco was twice the size of Loco Cantina for twenty five cents less yet twice as good or more. The real pint of Pacifico was 1.00 less! No comparison. Very good. Free stuff with Yelp check-in.

Excellent

By seawolf1963 |

Hussongs at Boca Park is an excellent Mexican Restaurant for fun at a very reasonable price. The place has a fun atmosphere and great food. The prices are moderate. However their Happy Hour which is Monday - Friday evenings (not sure of exact times) and all day Sunday is amazing. Half price magarittas and draft beer with a nice Happy Hour menu. I highly recommend.

Superb dining and great value

By Romina S |

Mariachis, Great food, spectacular service and good value. Highly recommend and Regina was an attentive waitress. Muchas gracias!

Such a waste...

By rollo_orlando |

We ate here yesterday using a Groupon. I'll be brief: It is NOT by any stretch nof the imagination a 'Mexican' restaurant despite the cheap decorations. The music being played was typical American dreck, including hip-hop. Menu contains typical Americanized versions of common fare, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, nachos. Yuck! We don't drink but even for us the prices were outrageous, 42.00 for a 'pitcher' of watered-down slop. Can you imagine? And I thought Starbucks was madness. We ordered, twice actually and both times the food came out cool even though the plate was somewhat hot. But we didn't come to eat the plate. We came to eat the food which was nothing more than bland. Chips and salsa were the highlight of the meal, which is not saying much, is it. No, we won't return. Adios.

Great food and Drink

By Kevin T |

Always a great place for great Mexican. The Cheesy Birria Quesadillas were awesome. The margaritas are always a must. Great food.

I expected more...........

By pamelag180 |

Service was superb. The ladies really tried to make us comfortable and service was very quick. Maybe because there were very few people there! I was really disappointed because I have been to the one in Mexico and the food was much better. The music was too loud to hear eachother speak. The food was nothing to write home about.

Good brunch

By Jim C |

Went for brunch just as it opened at 11. Service was great - waitress recommended various options that we all had and all enjoyed. We sat outside and had a range of burritos that were all really good, and I didn't really eat again until later that evening it was so filling.

Baja style Mexican

By Snowbirdtrav |

This was nice for a change. Not the traditional fair you get at most places. The ingredients made a whole different taste, but was very enjoyable. The atmosphere is sports bar with tv’s. Could have went early and watched the game but it was our first time. Our server was very pleasant and made sure we were well taken care of.

Fun and reasonable

By seawolf1963 |

The newest Hussongs in Las Vegas is in the Boca Park shopping area at Rampart and Charleston. The food is good, prices are fair and the atmosphere is fun but a bit noisy. Happy hour is great.

By Vincent M |

This spot is very convenient for hotel stay in Mandalay Bay or Luxor Resort! Great food and very friendly staff! Our waitress Heather was amazing!!!

Awful

By Beverly B |

How did trip advisor give this restaurant 4 stars? It was terrible. The tacos had old fish and over done shrimp. We couldn’t eat the carnitas. Stay away!

Mexican

By Randall S |

Not the greatest of anything. The regular green salsa was good, but the red was to sweet . The tortilla soup wasn’t it.

Great service and good food!!

By steven |

Great service and good food!! If I lived here, I’d come back! Had guacamole, stacked quesadilla and a margarita. Very enjoyable!!

Nice place for Tex-Mex and Drinks

By Megankaz |

This Hussong's is the little sister of the one at the Mandalay Bay. They have about half of the menu of their larger one. Drinks are always great! Best when they are half of during happy hour. Food is good, no the best. Very reasonable prices for the area.

Good food, good service

By Jessica K |

We were fairly pleased with our experience here. The service was good, without being too overbearing. Our one complaint is that they seem to "nickel and dime" you. You have to pay for chips and salsa. I ordered a burrito, and you had to pay extra if you wanted any sides or even if you wanted the burrito "wet" with one of their sauces. However, the food is good enough we will likely return.

Excellent margaritas during happy hour

By Linda K |

We went during happy hour. Had an excellent mango swirl margarita for $5. The best guacamole I have ever had. Will definitely be back. The food looked delicious too. Very reasonable prices. Very busy so you know the food is good.

Excellent

By eduardops60 |

Very nice place. The food has excellent taste and quality even for a Mexican like me. They have a trio singing Mexican songs and sadly some awkward sounding American songs. Great place to taste Mexico in Las Vegas. The prices are very reasonable too.

Low key, quality Mexican food - at Manadalay Bay, located in the heart of the Vegas strip

By Avery G |

David O serves multiple tables at once - with ease. Our party was in no hurry, we had the famous Cadillac Margs and munched on chips and salsa. Food was good. Wish they had charro beans - but otherwise we were pleased. Portion sizes were good and food came out quick.

Never again!

By Lifeisonetrip |

Had lunch with friends recently. The regular lunch crowd had left so it was not very busy. No one came over to our table to take our orders so one of us approached the bartender, who snapped at her in a very rude tone. Finally, a lady came over who said she was the manager. We did complain about the tone and demeanor of the bartender and she did apologize and compensated us with our beverages on the house. However, the food was seriously lacking and one person ate one bite and announced the meal inedible. Took forever for the manager (who was by now acting as the waitress), to bring our check, she just seemed to disappear. We were all in agreement that we would never visit this restaurant again and will tell all our friends to give it a pass also.

The Place was Hopping!

By Tony B |

They are known for their margaritas and it did not disappoint! The food was pretty large portions and very good.

Great Happy Hour

By jbliv |

Tried Hussong's for the first time last week. They have a great happy hour during the week and an ALL DAY happy hour on Sunday. Great margaritas and the happy hour food selection was great too. We happened to be there on Taco Tuesday, so after happy hour was over we took advantage of their delicious tacos.

Great dining experience

By Ronald v |

Had Baja fish tacos Absolutely the best. Also had two house margarita's, they dont spare the tequila. The price was great but the service was out of this world. Had server Lauren A she was fantastic. Manager Rachel also checked up on us. We have been there many times but will be back. Thank you Rachel for hiring Lauren.

Nice decor; average food

By LynnCactusWren |

My husband and I and another couple had one dinner at this restaurant near the Mandalay Bay Casino. I thought the food was average, but I liked the decor and ambiance. I had carne asada fajitas. The service was good.

Amazing service

By Vanessa P |

Amazing experience our server REGINA was an ax big super friendly and attentive .. will definitely come back with my family ❤️

Good food & service

By Lynette51 |

I had the enchiladas, which were very good and a large portion. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros and not what you would expect. A little disappointing in the version of that meal with tostadas as part of the meal. Overall they have a large menu selection so I'd give it a try.

Good food - Bar Vibe

By wemjam |

Hubby and I just returned from a 4 day trip to Vegas and we had dinner one evening here at Hussong's Cantina. Food was good and place had more of a "Bar" Vibe than restaurant. Was loud and very, very busy and packed. We took advantage of a restaurant.com certificate and saved $25 on our dinner for 2 making it much more affordable, otherwise prices were high - but typical for vegas. Hubby had cheese and steak quesadillas and I had chicken fajitas. I also had their original margarita. The margarita was served in a tall "pop" style glass an cost $12, very pricey. Was good and strong though. Quesadillas were better than my fajitas I thought (ate some of hubby's), and his portions were way bigger. He had lots of steak and very large tortilla. My fajitas had like 10 small bite size pieces of chicken and that was it. Also had corn and potatoes in fajitas in addition to onion and peppers which was quite different and not sure I cared for potato. Came with 4 really small tortillas, and at that there wasn't really enough meat to fill all 4. Service was pretty good, though a little slow.... of course with every table in the house packed they were all hopping so it wasn't for lack of trying on their part. Overall it was a decent meal, and with the voucher savings reasonable in price. At full price though not sure I would eat here.

Great happy hour

By Pokerroamer |

tix4d.com card got 15% off happy hour, even though happy hour prices. Margherita 's were very good. $5 for happy hour. Carnitas tacos were best that I had. Bean dip was awesome. They gave it to us for free, because it was our first time. Even cheese quesadillas were great. Definitely coming back next time in Vegas.

Repeat visitor

By June H |

I love love love this restaurant. The food is excellent and the red sangria is amazing. They have a vegan menu, too!!! Friendly staff, although during busy times service can be a bit slow. Sunday is all day happy hour (our last visit lasted 6 hours, we never felt rushed). Unsure of their live entertainment schedule, but the 3 person mariachi band was super fun. Will continue to visit often.

Mexico food with a twist

By Barb R |

Food is just ok. Ate there 3 times and had taco plates, steak fajita plates and another steak dish. Meat was not tender, beans and rice are standard. They do have unlimited chips and salsa you can purchase. Frozen margaritas are good but light on alcohol. The service is not good for the most part, a waitress takes your order and busboys bring the food. The last time we both ordered steak fajitas and got ONE order. Looks like the turnover rate here for staff is the problem, also I think the prices are high for the quality and taste. We will only return with a coupon as full price is not worth it, they do have a happy hour but the last 2 times we were there they don't carry chardonnay ??? Tiny place, has lots of televisions for sports viewing, outdoor patio as well.

Glad I gave it a second chance

By Tim T |

First I want to compliment ownership, management and staff. When I was displeased with my original visit the owner personally contacted me and wanted to fix things. The management also contacted me and asked me to give them a second chance. When people reach out to you politely and ask it's only right you give them that chance. Onsite managers Melissa and Steve were very good about checking in. It was a little loud with the Mariachis and it made ordering a challenge but they were very entertaining and wouldn't keep me from going back.. The meal was excellent. I can't remember having Carnitas Enchiladas that good in anyplace other than a friends home or a family owned establishment. They have an option of three different sauces and I tried each one. They were all very good and the red enchilada sauce which is normally very non-descript was tasty. The beans and rice that most people overlook were very good and not overcooked like almost every place you go. Guacamole is a personal thing and I like it a little on the chunky side which this was. It had a little too much lime in it for my tastes but when spread on the enchiladas you didn't notice it so much. Overall I enjoyed it. The food was actually excellent. Some very small things kept me from giving it a 5 but I will definitely go back and soon. You should try it and please ignore my initial review.

Sells edible food.

By crowmagnon |

Okay Mexican good, smallish portions, high prices, weak margaritas and crowded restaurant. If you’re into these things, you’ll love this place.

Great happy hour and terrific service

By Lifeisonetrip |

First visit was for an early dinner and experienced happy hour as well. Service was quick and helpful and food is very good. Nice salsa bar for chips and to accompany the tacos. Large bar area for socializing and enjoying a drink is offered, as well as outdoor type seating when the weather is nice. Would definitely visit again!

3 strikes & you're out

By azerrn |

The 1st 2 times we went the food was tastless. We gave it one more try. Early (4:30PM) they were out of the first 3 things we tried to order. We ordered the pulled pork. It was hands down the most dried-up, most tastless pork we ever tried. We did not finish it. We left. We won't be back.....ever.

average mexican

By IrishRover |

I was staying nearby at the JW Marriott and thought to give this place a try since the reviews seemed good. The service was ok not great which cost them probably dessert and a least another beer. I had there chile rellano house specialty it was good but was more assembly line Mexican The mango habanero guac was very good though Overall I doubt I would go back

Great food great service

By salena B |

This place is always great. David was an awesome server explained the history and made us feel welcomed. Margaritas are always on point!

Photos added. Good food and great service

By NitroDog |

My wife and I dined here for dinner and were seated immediately. We were given chips and salsa and my wife ordered a Margarita. My wife had the taco platter and I had the 3 item combo. I thought the burrito was the best item on my dish. The other two were dry. The service was excellent and they gave us a military discount. Photos added and I will return again soon.

Amazing

By EveZ32530 |

Amazing food and great service, and the margaritas were darn good. The tacos are great as well. Great atmosphere.

Great Hapy Hour and Drinks

By RyTheTravelGuy |

Another place I frequented during an extended visit for work. I don't really like the food here, but the beer is cold and the service is great. I can honestly say I adore each of the servers I've had. All of them are nice and provide great service. The Happy Hour specials are pretty awesome! Great place to visit when you something off the strip but with all of the fun.

The best Mexican food in Vegas

By zackyvii |

They’ve been voted best Mexican food and best margaritas in Vegas, and after trying it I believe it! My wife and I split the absolutely massive chimichanga, guacamole, and sopapillas (and of course each had a margarita). Everything was fantastic, and very unique. Their chipotle salsa is the best!

Delicious food!!

By Trina G |

LOVED the Carnitas Tacos - meat was so juicy & flavourful! My husband also liked the Enchiladas. It's so great to sit down & immediately receive free chips & 2 different salsas!

A hit!

By Terri W |

Great real, authentic Mexican food! It’s a major win when they have a whole menu for vegetarians! My favorite is the chili Rios from the vegetarian menu with regular dairy. A hit!

Wonderful!!

By maddieo29 |

Excellent service and great food. They were quick to bring out food and checked continuously to make sure we were happy and had what we needed.

Very Tasty Food

By rajr27 |

I travel to Las Vegas every year, mostly solo. I usually stay at Mandalay Bay so I usually make it a point to dine here at Hussong's at least once located inside Mandalay Place shops. I love the chicken chimichangas being they cook them with the rice inside makes it tasty. The servers over the years have always been friendly. I usually take a seat at the bar or sometimes a table and never feel out of place dining solo.

Great Happy Hour!

By btrflybabe215 |

Was a little disappointed that it was no longer a Steeler's Bar but the food and deals are great! Also an all day Sunday happy hour!

Bug in Margarita

By Curiosity657616 |

There was a bug in my margarita. No apology, manager didn't come by, charged for margarita, though I didn't drink it and let waiter know about it immediately.

Early Lunch of Champions!

By christina_onthe_road |

After a long night, I wanted a very light meal to set me right. I ordered the Street Corn, and a side of fruit. The flavors were a delightful wake-up. The corn is a sight to behold, and got oohs and ahhs until it got to me. This is a order up front - then get it delivered - kind of place, which is fine. It feels casual and comfortable, which makes it also feel like I place I'd like to return to. Often. It was clean, food prepared quickly, and did I mention the corn? The fruit was a surprising pocket of sliced melon, Jicama, and other touches. Chili and lime are used to good effect, and the result really was refreshing. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing!

By Cathleen S |

Food was incredible and so was the service! Everyone is so welcoming and accommodating. And the mariachi band they have playing in here too is amazing!!

The Manager Steve told me he hopes I don't come back!

By Bridget S |

Yes, you read that right. This Manager Steve had the nerve to treat me like I was beneath him in front of dozens of people because I didn't like the food and I questioned it's origin. My Boyfriend and I typically come to the Boca Park Location 2 or 3 times a month to enjoy the food and watch football. I also bring colleagues there for business lunches during the week. So today I came in alone, had a couple shrimp tacos and 2 beers and ordered a vegan chicken chimichanga to go for my boyfriend. Once I got home, he took a bite and said he thinks they gave him pork by mistake. Neither of us have eaten meat for over 3 years and are almost entirely vegan (I still occasionally eat shellfish). I investigated the faux chicken and determined it looked, smelled and broke apart like animal flesh and decided to call the restaurant. I spoke to Steve, the manager who said bring it back and he will refund me. I asked if I can just have it remade and to please ensure the whole meal is definitely vegan. When I arrived, Steve glanced at the burrito said that's vegan chicken and threw it away. I said are you sure, you barely looked at it. He said we use an excellent butcher. Then he dropped the replacement burrito on the bar and walked away, not saying a word. I opened the burrito and took a piece of the vegan chicken out and tasted it. Chewed it. It tasted like day old dry chicken. I spit it into a napkin. If that actually WAS vegan chicken it was horrible...but I'm pretty sure it was meat. I have had their vegan beef and it's fine. I have had lots of different kinds of faux chicken and never tasted something like that. It was dry, felt like and tasted like old chicken and was basically inedible. I walked up to Steve who was at the front register typing something in and pretending to not notice I was standing there. I asked to see the box this vegan meat comes in (which he did not show me) and explained I am concerned because it tastes too much like meat (old, dry meat). He said so you don't want it, I said no thank you we can't eat this. As he is in the computer refunding me, he says "well everyone else loves it" and I said "Well I'm not everyone else" to which he replied (in front of a server who was standing there) "well thats apparent" with all the attitude of a nasty teenage boy. Then I said "woah, what's with the bad customer service?" The employee standing there looked uncomfortable at this point. Steve replied: "well I just had to make 2 burritos for nothing" and I said "Well I understand that but it looks, tastes and smells like meat and we just can't eat it. What happened to customer service?" He threw down the receipt and says here I refunded your whole check and starts to walk away again. I turned around and said to him.. "You know, I won't be coming back BECAUSE of your attitude." He said "Good, I hope you don't come back!". Then sarcastically as he continues to walk away, he waves and says bye!! SHOUTING sarcastically in front of the whole restaurant "have a nice day...bye" and continued to wave maniacally. I was furious. How dare he treat me like that? The bartender Itzel is amazing and I will miss her and the sweet Chipotle salsa. Thats about it. How embarrassing to be treated like that in front of the restaurants customers and staff. What a bad example of management. It's not like I wanted to have to come all the way back to replace the burrito. I have no interest in wasting food either. But I shouldn't be expected to eat something that tastes bad just like any other customer wouldn't be expected to. I never asked him to refund my whole check, just the $15.95 for the vegan burrito which for the record on their menu is listed for 12.95. He chose to act like an angry immature child instead of a manager who cares about the reputation of the business he has the privilege to represent. A privilege I hope gets taken from him promptly before this otherwise good establishment loses more business. The 30 dollars in burritos that got wasted and caused his temper tantrum doesn't compare to the $1800-2500 we spend there annually. Plus all the money that I will direct elsewhere by sharing my experience on every social media platform. Its a shame really, totally could have avoided this by acting like a decent human, but Steve thinks because he is the restaurant manager he is above reproach. He spoke to me in a way that shows he believes he can treat me like garbage and grt away with it.. like he's just going to be losing my business. What he doesn't realize is its never ok to disrespect your customers regardless of your title. Especially when there are so many other places people can go for good Mexican food without having to endure Steve's attitude. I would appreciate being contacted by Scott Frost directly so that we might have a conversation and he can be made aware of how his patrons are being treated by his management staff. Thank you.

OK for drinks, but not for Mexican food

By captdoc41 |

Stopped here for lunch. The "mexican food" was pedestrian and dry, without the option for classical tex-mex type finishes. AND it was expensive. We won't be going back.

Great service, that's it

By Shampeu |

Our waitress was wonderful. She knew we were in a hurry and brought our food out quickly. Otherwise the food was mediocre and the prices were too high. We started with guacamole that came in a tiny cup. Next we had the baja shrimp tacos. The order came with two small tacos with bad black beans and tasteless rice. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Nasty

By Cece Ridley |

I wanted Mexican food my last night in Vegas I ordered two carne asada tacos with rice and beans. I took a couple bites of each and threw it in the garbage. The worst Mexican food I ever had in my life. Don't waste your money.

Good Mexican food

We ate here on 1/9. This is the location that is between Mandalay and the Luxor. We had planned to eat before our evening showing of the Blue Man group however it was extremely crowded. The restaurant isn’t huge. We opted to wait until after the show. There was immediate seating. Hardly anyone was in the restaurant which was fine with us. The food came out timely and hot. Some of the best Mexican food we’ve had. Our server was good. It was a good experience.

This place has some great and tasty food. Ordered 64oz margarita, which was little bit too much. I enjoyed it I had burrito and corn on the cob not bad will come back for some more.

Must stop in

This is always our first stop when we come to Vegas. I am very picky about my margaritas and the margaritas here are very good!

Great drinks and service!

We were so tired of crappy casino drinks we decided to stop in Hussong’s for a real margarita. We were staying at the Luxor so it was super convenient in the skybridge to Mandalay Bay. Not only was my first drink excellent (the original margarita) but so was my next one…a Cadillac margarita. The experience was made perfect by Amanda, our server and drink maker. She was professional and kind and just what we needed on our last day in Vegas. Thank you Amanda!

Could Be So Much Nicer If Clean

We had wanted to try this place for a few drinks. So, we did recently during their Happy Hour. It was about 3 and the place was quiet. We sat outside on their patio. The waitress brought out menus, we ordered 2 margaritas. While we were waiting for them, we looked at their menu. When I opened it, there was dried on salsa on the page. Then we noticed the floor and the table top. It was really dirty, our table top had slats and in between there was old food. Our margaritas were tasty but not out of the ordinary. Service was friendly. I suggest a good cleaning. Once was enough for us. Proud to call Las Vegas HOME.
