Our party of two was able to sit at a table for lunch before our flight. The menus are very straight forward, listing breakfast options, burgers, snacks and sides, and the back side full of drinks. There are no kids meal options listed. When it came time for us to order, it became nearly impossible to order a simple cheeseburger. This restaurants method of ordering is to order one of their specialty burgers, or pay the same thing and deduct everything you don't want (i.e. all of the toppings). For reference, the simplest specialty burger costs around $6.50, but my "order the closest thing then deduct" style cheeseburger cost nearly $9.50. Any respectable burger joint should offer a few simple options, or a build your own option. In regards to the service, you could tell our server was trying his hardest with the high volume of tables that he was serving. The system of service is one that causes the customer to feel like they are inconveniencing the staff (a thought that was heard through mumbles around us, as well). Examples being- how difficult it was to order a cheeseburger, the guests next to us trying to order drinks and food at the same time, and being told no you have to order them separately, and another table attempting to order breakfast, then being told that breakfast is over when a time frame for breakfast was not listed anywhere on the menu. Overall, Hut's serves a pretty decent burger, at a (generally) reasonable price for an airport, but the system of service needs a lot of help.

First, I am grateful Huts offers a vegan option in the airport. I have visited multiple times and always order the same burger, customized to vegan. Always delicious and a great experience until today. Those of us with dietary requirements want even the best waitress/waiter to WRITE IT DOWN. It’s too important that they get our order correct. She didn’t write it down, she didn’t repeat it back, so I did several times. First burger came with bacon! I ordered the all American customized, no bacon on it. They remade it, second burger came with guacamole and who knows what else! On the 3rd time offer to remake, I said no, we were out of time. So I ate the fries. She would only give me 10% off so it was still a 25 dollar bad experience. I said she should take more off or give it for free. She wouldn’t. (I have the receipt if huts wants to see it). Nothing can be done about my experience but please train your staff!!!

The burger was good; the fries looked like they scraped the bottom of the basket to gather the bits and pieces. On the bill the suggested tip was calculated off of the total (including tax)…a sneaky way to increase the tips.

OK AUS I am not a fan of the remodel and food options. Not a fan at all. So I have HUT's and need food to go. Thankful they were happy to take an order to go. We got three Buddy Holly burgers. That is it. $31.27 for three small burgers to go. No fries, not that big. We got to eat before we were on a six hour flight and that I am grateful for. I will not be returning to HUT's as I get being in an airport so you can raise prices but really $9.63 for a basic burger the size of a P. Terry burger.

Huts is the best place to go for breakfast when flying out of ABIA. The Huts breakfast platter consists of fresh scrambled eggs, hash browns, freshly ground pork sausage or bacon and toast. It is priced at airport rates of course but the best I’ve found at the airport.

Not an Austin native, so did not know the 7 decades history of serving great burgers to downtown Austin. Hut's was near our gate (15) at Austin Bergstrom IAP and it was lunch time. The Hut Burger was big and juicy,at a very reasonable price for airport food. There are tables and waiters, so no standing in line and then trying to find a table in a food court. The owner of the Now Closed downtown locations is still active in the management of this only open location, according to our server! The menu is not as extensive as previously, due to small airport kitchen size.

It's hard to find a good burger in the airport, your choices are normally the big fast food chains but I always try and go local if I can. Hut's has been serving great burgers in Austin for 50 years or so!! I had the original hut burger and it was juicy and delicious.

Everyone we encountered tonight in Austin Southwest terminal - it was clear they were not happy - very perfunctory - matter of fact service! Clearly do not like working here????Not to mention at least 3 people we encountered had not washed their hair for SEVERAL days! Disgusting!

This has become my must stop in the Austin Airport. It has long been known as an Austin Staple, but aside from the historical value and the food being delicious, I have found the service to be tremendous. My last two visits had Mahendra as my Waiter, and if he isn’t the owner he should be. Had the BLT for breakfast today - WOW! Huts has it! Keep up the good work.

This is the best hamburger I've had in a long time. Delicious! The French fries were myeh. Service very good. It was nice to be able to sit down and order in the airport.

Was surprised. Haven't been to Hut's in years. The airport location was packed, but the guy at the counter was great. Placed the order and it was out in a few minutes. Really good.

We stopped here for a burger while we waited on our flight home. The burger's here were very good and pretty big too. Fries weren't great, but I didn't really want any anyways. The amazing part was the price. For being inside of an airport, I thought it would be terrible, but it wasn't.

very quick service and quality of food was very good, wife happy with impossible burger! Yasmine our server was awesome.

We enjoyed Hut’s Hamburgers for lunch. Their menu is largely a wide variety of burgers. We both enjoyed the burgers and the fries were outstanding.

Our host treated us directly and made sure our table was clean. Our server was outstanding and fielded all of our questions about the menu with patience and kindness. The food was delivered promptly and it was fresh and delicious. Thanks! Glad to be back in Texas!

Hut’s has been a great hamburger place for decades. Today we had breakfast and it was very good. The service, menu, venue and of course food were very good. I’ll try this again.

To be honest, I do not expect good meals at the airport....but was happily surprised by our lunch at Hut’s Hamburger & Bar on January 18th. The 6 oz wine pour ($13.50) was generous. The grilled chicken salad with blue cheese was also generous in size and quality ($11.00). Hubby tried the burger with cheddar and was happy. Much better than expected! Try them out.

Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens would die again with those prices. Even at the airport 25 bucks for a less than average burger. Rip off

It seems that all the waiters are in slow motion and more interested in social interaction. It 5 minutes just to get my drink. When the burger didn’t come for 10 minutes the waiter acted like it was the order systems fault. Remember, this is in an airport where sometime time is of an essence

Our first visit and it was really good. Delicious fixens and perfectly cooked burger. Bun was really fresh. Best burger we have had in a long time. Three cheers for hut’s😎
Wish it was HOT
I was disappointed that my burger was not hot. I was in a hurry in an airport and could not send it back. I also requested ranch that I didn't receive thought it was listed on my bill as order.
