We ordered bruschetta for $16, I was shocked to see it was a slice of bread cut in half with tomatoes and olive oil. Then we ordered a pizza no drinks. Our bill was $51. I guess we will be cooking our Italian meals at home. Was disappointed...It was tasty but very over priced for what they serve!

I was here recently and was disappointed in my visit. I ate in the restaurant on the patio for lunch and had the pizza which was good. The other dishes that my group ordered were disappointing. The service could have been more attentive, especially considering it wasn’t that crowded. After lunch we went into the store and bought some cannolis to go and some various food items. The cannolis were not good at all – didn’t like the crust or the filling compared to others that I’ve had. Also got the fresh lasagna to reheat at home – it was terrible and I threw it away. Eataly is not worth the hype or the expensive prices.

Just returning from Sicily I have to say this was a delightful experience. They have a wonderful selection at their grocery store from fresh veggies, tea, cookies/candies, cans of tomato sauce, pistachio sauces, pesto, and so much more . They have fresh pasta you can take home, large selection of cheese and salami's, wine bar, wine tasting as you shop, and then you find their prepared "on the go" selection. Here you can find large focaccia bread filled with meat and a huge burrata on top. I haven't had it but it looks delicious. Of course this would not be Italian if you didn't have dessert. So many options as well as gelato and a coffee bar. We had lunch at the Pasta/Pizza restaurant. I can understand why some people say it's pricey however mine fed me for two meals. I had the ravioli which had a mild cream lemon sauce and pistachios. It was very light and they give you a full plate. I have been to restaurants and they give you 5 ravioli's, as you can see by my picture they give you your moneys worth. My one daughter had the Bolognese and she loved it. My other daughter had the tableside Gnocchi. She said it was the best she has had. We hope you enjoy as much as we did.

We made a reservation for Terra at Eataly for a dressy night out. We were charged for a beverage we did not order and a soft drink for $11. The Proseco was reasonable but menu is expensive, the food marginal and the interior is not as pictured. Just is not appealing for a nice weekend dinner. Will not return.

The Dallas NorthPark location of Eataly has been open for over a year and continues to charm me with an experience, great food and service! Today three of us enjoyed lunch at The La Pizza and La Pasta dining area and each had an amazing, fresh and delicious meal.

Well, disappointing is an understatment. The place is nice, but the food and service bad. First, how can an "italian" restaurant charge you $10..00 for 4 small slices of sourdough? All real italian restaurants will serve you unlimited bread at NO charge. Then, of the 3 plates we orderd, one arrived with a pasta completely different of what we ordered and the other was just another plate. We had to wait 15 more minutes for the problem to be fixed and by that time I already finished my chicken that was just regular to bad. The manager offered free deserts and didn´t charged the wrong plate but this kind of things can´t happen for the prices they charge you. I will never return. Bad experience in general.

We loved absolutely everything at this restaurant! The staff was great and attentive, the food tasted delicious, the wine was divine, the ambiance was splendid. Can’t wait to go back.

This place was too good. Many things to shop for and they have 3-4 restaurants too. We ate lunch there. The truffle mushroom pizza was so good we ordered it twice. Loved the cannoli which was served really well. They got a cart to our table and we customized it. Delicious italian food. A must visit for foodies.

We ate at the central restaurant in the market where the food and service where good. But we decided to get some baked goods to take home with us. They were wildly overpriced and terrible all around. Most disappointing was the cannoli with burnt cookie and horribly runny filling. Go buy day old pastries at Tom Thumb for better quality. Horrible. Horrible. And the bakery staff clearly wanted to be someplace else.

I finally went to check this place out after hearing about it for so long. I only went to the market area and walked around too see what they had. The restaurants looked very nice and will be back for lunch for sure. I think for me, I would do some shopping here to make a special meal. Definitely not an every week thing for my budget but so great for a special treat.

I'm Italian and lived in Italy until I was 42. My experience with Eataly products is the same when traveling on Italian Highways. You go to a Car Stop called Autogrill and you have all these "fancy" products that you never find in a normal shop living your normal Italian life. The products seem to be created for tourists.

Very disappointing experience at the new Eataly Dallas. Unfortunately, this was apparently not a onetime problem. One of our guests received his pizza entrée and the others in our party had to watch him eat it while we waited 20 minutes for our pasta dishes to arrive. The service was very spotty with our waitress conveniently disappearing as we were trying to determine where our food was during our 20-minute wait for the rest of our meals. Both the waitress and then the manger confirmed that the pizza production area is not in the same area as the Pizza/Pasta restaurant. Apparently if I understood them correctly, they really have no control at all over when the pizzas come out. I mentioned to them that this is really an unacceptable situation for a very expensive Italian restaurant, whose name is Pizza and Pasta, not to be able to deliver pizza and pasta at the same time. The food is good but not really any better than you will find at dozens of fine Italian restaurants in the DFW area, at half the price, that are able to deliver all orders at the same time. The dining area is very large and very noisy, wine both red and white start in the $47 to $48 range and the bill for 4 people with two appetizers to split, one bottle of wine, one beer, no dessert and three pasta and one pizza entrée was over $200 including tip. As I told them I will not be visiting again. Too many excellent alternatives in DFW.

Really cool place. They have everything Italian related. There are sections for wine, cheese, meat, cold foods, pasta, candy, and cooking supplies. In addition there are a few places in the store that serve food such as pizza, sandwiches, or sit down meals.

They have restaurants and an italian grocery connected to the Northpark mall. The gelato is fantastic and the cheeses are amazing. If you want quality italian ingredients this is a great place to stop by.

Saturday night. What a rip off. A tasteless, average-sized salad of lettuce and shaved cheese? $14. A 10-inch Margherita pizza with barely any basil or cheese and even less tomato sauce on a paper-thin crust? $20. A waterered-down club soda? $5. A refill on that? Another $5. I'll add that we ate at the upstairs restaurant during the pandemic and got the exact same stuff. Service was average. We're done with Eataly for good.

We went here because our family, being Italian, loves this place for the delicious food, Italian products you cannot find elsewhere, and its located within a beautiful mall. Since Dallas does not have a large Italian community, we love to come here, browse, and buy items we could not find elsewhere. Prices are a bit high, but nice for a splurge.

A culinary experience…a dream for those who Love to Cook & Food. Market has a great selection of ready meals, fresh made pastas, imported delicious cakes, products. Grab a coffee or slice or dine at one of the bars or restaurants.

The restaurant is understaffed, so the service is slow and not efficient. Everything is overpriced, not only the dishes served. We have ordered a Margherita Pizza and there was very little cheese, maily tomato sauce. The price of the pizza is much higher than similar ones in good Italian restaurants in the neighborhood,

This place is a delight all around! This is our third or fourth time to visit Eataly and to eat there. Each visit has been truly fun! It is lively and enthusiastic, and feels almost celebratory when you enter. How can it get better than that! Well, the food is just as good! This time we ate at Pizza and Pasta. I had a fried pizza in which the dough has been fried and then the toppings placed on it. I've had nothing like this before, and it was absolutely delicious. I can strongly recommend it to anyone who loves pizza! My wife had an elaborate and generous charcuterie board with some of their perfect store-made mozzarella (made DAILY at the store, I understand!). We had the focaccia bread as an appetizer, and it was out of this world. It was light and authentic, not the dodgy stuff you usually see. The ambience of Eataly is fascinating. All the workers are friendly and helpful, but they even have one man who is the "Story-Teller" and he knows the location of every single item in the store, and background stories and other stories to tell about the different foods! We also shopped a bit in Northpark, but it was Eataly that was the stand-out. We even went back for a cannoli to top off the afternoon. My wife had the pistachio filling with a chocolate drenched cannoli. I had a traditional one. It was about 1000 times better than ones we had recently had at a high-end bakery elsewhere. We travel from about two hours away and each time we go to Dallas, we have only one or two places which are "must-visits." Eataly is definitely one of those two.

What a huge disappointment. Had heard positive feedback about this place but not worth half the cost. Suppli and bread were good. You can find better lasagna at Costco. Calzone had very little filling. Service was good but will never eat here again. Recommend avoiding. Nothing special here.

Eataly Dallas opened a few months back and advertised heavily on the choice of a cafe and 3 other restaurants specializing in 1 Pizza, 2 Pasta and 3 Wood burning grill called the Terrace. We reserved seats one evening as the ambience was excellent and the staff was very courteous. Sorry to say the food was insipid. I ordered a medium rare steak from the menu. I was served a 1/4 inch thick steak which was over cooked. When the manager came to inquire of our experience I explained that I desired a juicy steak. She then brought a second serving. It was the same as before. As it was accompanied by fried potato I being a diabetic requested Vegies instead. It was not available. I then asked for mashed potato. That too was not available. The fried potato was palatable. Was this worth the high price I paid for the meal? My wife had a similar experience of the dish the waiter recommended. I have been to over 50 countries and enjoyed gourmet meals in big cities. I will not go back to Eataly again.

A friend of ours told us about this place and we popped in hoping to find a table. After a short wait and wondering the wonderful market downstairs we were seated. Our waiter was very nice and we enjoyed the Barbabietole beet salad, the pappardelle con ragu rustico and the tiramisu. The wine selection extensive and we found a nice bottle we enjoyed.

I was so excited to try La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly and ended up very disappointed! The service was the terrible and price of food was high for bad food. I ordered my favorite Carbonara and end up with 3 crumbled pieces of pancetta but the favor of the carbonara was so bad that only ate 2 pieces of rigatoni. My husband and two teens tried it and thought it was horrible as well. Stick to shopping at the market which I love.

Eataly Dallas is a gorgeous, immersive Italian food destination—part market, part restaurants—all under one stunning roof. From the espresso and pastries downstairs to the fresh pasta and Neapolitan pizza at Il Pastaio and La Pizza & La Pasta, and the elegant rooftop grill Terra, there’s something for everyone.

My wife had been bugging me to dine at Eataly, so I made reservations for our family dinner and the rest did not disappoint. We dined at their La Pizza and La Pasta restaurant and loved the drinks, the pizza, and the pasta. The service was decent enough, but they did leave us without water at one point. We will be axing this place to our restaurant rotation.

We were in the store for over an hour. Only 1 person approached any of 4 of us to offer service before 11 am. Nice store and could have been a pleasant visit and shopping experience with at least minimal customer service. The several personnel we approached even lacked personally except for wine area.

This place is awesome with 3 restaurants inside the store. We tried all 3 on different occasions, and they were spectacular. They also have an area for desserts and pastry where you can satisfy all your sugar needs. Parmigiano is made on premises; I'll try it with pasta and love it. It was a bit expensive but totally worth it

We ordered the very expensive lasagna. How do you mess up lasagna? Well, this restaurant presented us with a very dry dish, very tiny bits of beef, very small portion. My 10 year old could have done better. If you claim you are an Italian restaurant lasagna should be an easy success. Not here. Don’t eat here.

I have given Terra three chances and I am officially done. The food is outrageously priced, even for Dallas and on my recent (and last) visit, the service and food simply did not justify the price. Our server was lackluster, not saying anything except trying to push Terra's new $55/pp brunch. We told him no, we would be eating off the a la cart menu (I come here for pasta, not eggs, beef and pork loin), which seemed smaller than I remembered. There was no bread on the menu and when we asked for some, we were at first told we could not have any, but finally convinced the food runner to bring us some, I am assuming off the buffet. My entree was lukewarm and did not come with any of the promised cheese, I had to ask for it. The only redemption was the wonderful Tiramisu (which we asked for when not offered dessert). Worst of all, I was told that both people have to order the buffet at brunch because if only one person orders it and the other person dares to take even a bite of anything off their plate, they would be charged $55, which is completely in bad taste. I am an adult, I do not come to restaurants to mooch off of someone else's plate. For the first time, the restaurant was nowhere near full, it seems as though the newness of Terra has worn off and diners have wised up. I certainly have and won't be returning.

This place is amazing. You can watch them make different kinds of pastas, pizzas, pastries and many other food items. The restaurants will cook you what you watch them make. The breads, cold cuts and cheese’s on and on. You have to visit this place if you are looking for or wanting anything from Italy. One section devoted to Italian wines. I ate there and had the pappardelle with Bolognese sauce. Great and our waitress Ana M really took care if us. I wish I lived in Texas, but Georgia is a long ways away.

This is a class act place. With the separate food areas for different categories of food, it reminded me a bit of a cross between an upscale Italian version of the old Marche in Toronto and a Whole Foods where there is all this high end food ready for take out. This is the third Eataly I’ve eaten at. All have been wonderful!!! Not cheap but you get what you pay for. In short, the two things that jump out to me are that everything is so fresh and they use the best possible ingredients. The recipes are innovative and are really prepared with expert care. As with the other Eatslys, it was a tremendous meal and the service a great as well. I absolutely will be back here, especially since I never knew there was one here before visiting Dallas.

We went to LaPizza and LaPasta for a late lunch. We picked the sit down restaurant for a quiet, leisurely lunch. Instead we got everything but. The Prosecco was good but the poor was small. I ordered the margarita versae. My husband had the Lasagna Emiliane pork and beef. We also ordered a small loaf of bread. the bread came out first and was ok. I came with plain olive oil. It needed some spices to make it tasty. Shortly after that, my husband's lasagna was delivered. IT was a very small piece for $25. He waited for my pizza to arrive so we could eat together. Ten minutes later my pizza arrived. By then his lasagna was cold so he sent it back. The pizza was the thinnest I have ever see. I realize it was Neapolitan style but it was still unbelievably thin. It had practically nothing on it --tiny amount of cheese and sauce and only a couple pieces of basil. Fifteen minutes later when I was finished eating, my husband's lasagna came, It was a bigger piece this time but there was literally a microscopic bit of meat and a tiny bit of sauce. It was mostly layers of pasta. To say the least, this was a very expensive disappointment, The bill was over $80 for mostly carbs. So much for a nice leisurely lunch.

My husband and I had walked around this store/restaurant previously but it was a busy Saturday so we decided to come back another time. When my daughter flew into Dallas on a weekday we decided that would be a good time to visit. It ended up being a disappointing visit. We were seated at a bench facing where the wait staff waited to pickup food. Most of the time they were socializing. When ordering our food the waitress asked if we wanted bread with olive oil. We said yes. Eventually another waitress said here and handed bread wrapped in paper bags but never gave us the olive oil. Eventually we got the attention of the socializing wait staff to get the olive oil. The bread was ok except for the excessive burnt taste on the bottom of the bread. We ordered a small bite to share with three people but it was cut in two pieces. I tried to cut into multiple pieces for us to share and the crust was so hard it was impossible to cut. My daughter had the pesto pasta and it was very delicious, my husband had Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese and it was not flavorful. I had Buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes and it was ok, it could have used some salt, pepper and balsamic but I could never get the attention of waitstaff. We had water to drink with the meal and it is served warm with no ice. I did ask for a cup of ice and a clean glass since my glass had something sticking to the rim(yuck). Waitstaff asked when we were done eating if everything was ok but at that point it was too late to ask for any condiments or water refills. The woman’s bathroom was in terrible need of cleaning!!!! This was at 3:30 in the afternoon and it was horribly messy. I don’t understand how so much toilet paper can be on the floor and wadded on top of everything in the stall. It was so gross! Water from the sink is cold with no option for hot. Very disappointing visit and most likely will not return or recommend.

We attempted to eat at Terra, but after waiting 30 minutes for drinks (plus 10 minutes for the head on the poured Peroni to fall), being told they were out of bread, and other issues - we bailed and went downstairs to try La Pizza & La Pasta. Better service, pizza was delicious, gnocchi good enough, delicious tiramisu.

Our family dined on Saturday evening at Terra Restaurant. The food was overpriced, just adequate, and the service was spotty. Appetizers were served before any of the wine was delivered to the table. We ordered several pasta main courses and had to ask for fresh grated Parmesan cheese. There was no attempt to clean the table before dessert. Seven of the eight main courses were served but we had to wait about 5 minutes for the last entree. We were looking for a fine dining Italian experience but Terra did not meet our expectations.

The margarita pizza was very good it was a very thin style pizza but everyone really enjoyed it it came out super fast. We want a spaghetti meatballs but they only serve the meatballs as an appetizer not with the spaghetti but we wound up eating them separately which I guess is fine. The pasta is fresh pasta which some people in our group really loved and others weren't really used to but the quality was very good. Another person had the lasagna and thought it wasn't the most tasteful lasagna they ever had. The dessert selection was good and we really loved the fried dough balls we also got the chocolate cake which was also very good and the tiramisu which was good but probably needed to be a little colder. The waitress was very nice and attentive overall a good meal. Loved the shopping of Italian goods outside of the restaurant.

Visited this restaurant 12/16 around 4pm. First time here, celebrating my birthday. It took us around 45 min to find parking which its fine it is during the holidays, and it was on the weekend so I understand it will be busy especially the location. However, we get to the restaurant and there is a couple in front of us, they are waiting on their table. We get into the "walk in section" and the hostess lets us know if we are okay with outside, we said it was fine, so she was checking on availability. She comes back and 2 ladies come right behind us through the "walk in" section as well we let the hostess know and she lets us know they had a reservation which they didn't because we were there when they arrived and asked to get seated no reservation was ever mentioned. Hostess tells them the same thing. Hostess gets the couple in front of us seated and skips right over us and seats the ladies behind us. I understand everything around this time is busy, but I think it was very rude, unprofessional and we felt we were treated unfairly. I am normally not the type to write reviews, but this is the first time this ever gets done to us. I did speak to the manager as well, super nice lady. I just felt the need to express this on here. Hopefully next time I get to actually experience this restaurant and have a pleasant time.

First I'll say I have been to Italy several times and Eataly twice. The marketplace is fun but expensive for basic Italian items. We are not in a NYC borough where we have to pay inflated prices bc we don't want to drive to a larger supermarket. The best value there are the cute bite sized pastries at the front. I also liked the ready to cook ravioli and other pastas. Everything else I can pretty much get at Central Market. Now for the restaurant.. We went on a Monday at lunch. not sure if it was our waiter but he was one of the worst I have ever experienced. Long wait for water, ordered the olive bruschetta ($9-average-meh) and asked for some bread bc we were getting hangry. The bread station was right next to our table and after 15 min the appetizer came out with our drinks and waiter dude throws some bread and extremely cheap olive oil on the table. We had to ask someone else for the balsamic vinegar. Another 20 min passed and the calzone ($18) came out. It was good, simple, and uniquely thin and fried. Another 15 min ..tagliatelle bolognese came out and it was truly the most bland Italian dish I have ever had with an extremely small amount of meat. I had to ask for parmesean, salt, pepper and fixed it up to make it edible for $25. So my take is ... a restaurant can have subpar service, it happens, but the food better be worth the wait or efficient service but average food and ok maybe.. but terrible service and below average food and makes Terra nothing but hype. Sorry, but Dallasites won't tolerate it. I give this place 2 years max and it will go the way of Barneys unless they get it together.

Terra was pathetic! We tried numerous times to call and it rolled over to a message to use open table. When we arrived we asked why don’t they answer the phone and we were told that they do answer and showed us the phone then the manager told us that they do not have a phone In that restaurant because the Eataly concept has several restaurants within. Our server Mark was delightful but the $120 steak had NO flavor and the spaghetti was just bland. The atmosphere was more like a mall food court and brick house was the music selection. Wow! We still paid our bill and tipped well but will never be back.

Finally we have a piece of Italy in Dallas !!! Proper pasta and amazing pizza napoletana ! And the market downstairs make your sense and mouth make a trip in Italy, sometimes it seems do be at home. Very good!!

We are at this restaurant because it was in the mall, the server was really nice and we got seated immediately. The food was decent. as an Italian American, I felt that the pasta sauce was very watery and was not impressed with the quantity of food they gave per plate. My wife enjoyed her meal, which she got the pasta made in the cheese wheel. I thought that was cool, but I don’t know if I would order it overall I don’t know if I would come back here, but it was a fun experience. I really enjoyed the market inside the restaurant. I think but I wouldn’t say hold your breath thinking this is gonna be the best Italian restaurant.

Decided to make reservations for a date night. This place is so good. A great selection of wines will not disappoint. The appetizers were good as well as the salads. Pizza is traditional and the muscles were my favoratie. Definitely will eat here again.

We ate at Terra. It was delicious. Had the pasta pomadorra , risotto balls, grilled artichoke bottoms. Service was good. The olives are delicious. It was so fresh tasting! My daughter had the ravioli that she said was so fresh and delicious too. Great chill atmosphere.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Terra and we thought the food, service, and ambiance were very good. The wine list was affordable and we would return for a special occasion.

Lovely experience at Terra Eataly from start to finish. In this time of inflation and rising prices, I think Terra is very fairly priced for the quality and amount of food. The menu is varied and interesting. Service couldn’t have been better. Kaitlin D was just great. Attentive and knowledgeable and just plain fun. Nothing pretentious here! A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Oh, and the gelato cart is a must.

Such a gem to find in Northpark mall. Transports you back to Italy. We grabbed a panini that was out of this world good! Gelato amazing too. Only gripe is it’s a little hard to figure out what the difference une sting areas were. There’s a few more upscale restaurants within Eataly.. we opted for an easy lunch pick. Wine tasting looks to be fun and selection looked outstanding. Will come back for a different experience

Having been in the Eatalys in Chicago and New York I was very excited to see one open in Dallas. In those locations I have only eaten in the pizza place. For Dallas we splurged going to Terra. The food was amazing but the service was extremely lacking. We had to ask for napkins, ask for them to take our order, then ask for our salads after the entrees came out. I dont think the salad coming last was intentional like in Italy. I think for such an expensive restaurant the service would be much better. Usually when we have a mature waiter service is impecable but I think Eataly must be suffering from a lack of qualified applicants. I hope their service can improve.

We were a group of seven who had dinner at LA PIZZA & LA PASTA on a Saturday evening. The service was excellent! I had the TAGLIATELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE that was excellent, highly recommend. Everyone is our group was completely satisfied. We all went home a little larger than when we entered. :)

after waiting a year for the opening Eataly is finally open. since i have eaten in the Eataly in the piedmont northern Italy i was very eager to try it. first Italy is all about service and that is missing. it is frenzied the server shows twice to bring menu, take order, bring bill upon request. while Italian serving sizes are smaller than US these servings are smaller than snack size and no bread, bread sticks nothing but one small serving . 27$ for 10 bites is a bit much.

DO WE HAVE TO GIVE ANY STARS? Having to watch the staff in the kitchen taking notes of their own food as they made others food was literally disgusting. Sadly, we only noticed this as we were waiting for the bill. Stay away from this hole. MANAGEMENT HAS NOT RETIRNED ANY OF MY CALLS. Not surprised : ( After reading g more reviews, I read that they don’t return any call to anyone- haha jokes on me- I should have read more reviews prior.

we were just walking and window shopping at Northpark Mall and decided to take a break and have some coffee and a dessert at Eataly (2nd floor) so my husband bought 2 americanos and i bought 2 canolis, one classic and one with choco chips. Ok.. i have to say... the filling was not as good as i expected, there was something missing in the ricotta cheese, it was just not flavorfull, rich, the sweetness was not really define. same thing with the one with chocochips. Why i had such a big expectations? because i had it before at Mike's Pastry (boston location) and those were just extraordinary. Maybe my comparison is wrong, but tasted so good. I have to say that the coffee that day was good. low acid, strong enough. love it. Maybe ill try something different next time, but one we had a bite at their restaurants and let me tell you, if you are under a budget, better try other place, eataly is not cheap.

This was my first time at an Eataly. I went for restaurant week and I was not disappointed. The flavors are rich, the portion sizes are just right, the staff friendly and very knowledgeable and the ambience lovely. I definitely will return.

I'm obsessed with this restaurant and store! I could literally spend hours here. So if you are an "Everything Italian " lover like I am - make a point to go to Eataly! The restaurant and store have everything imaginable and much more. Plus, it's fun to watch pasta or Mozerella being hand made. I have eaten at all the restaurants here and it's always a fun, pleasant experience and the food is consistently amazing, plus excellent staff! So glad Eataly is in Dallas!

Discover the pleasures of Italian hospitality right here in Dallas with Il Pastaio di Eataly. From Antipasti to the fabulous take La Pasta Fresca. Tuti with some great Italian music . We tried their Malloreddus alla Campidanese that is house-made makloreddus, safran infused pasta dish- real yummy 😋. This was a poor'man dish but not anymore. Sausages and safran reign supreme in this dish! Our server Brendon M recommended a Langhe Nebiolo that was well balanced and fantastico! A real Commandatore de la voro. Brendon M knows his wine list very well! Ivan the AGM recommended the Tiramisu and Mama Mia it was absolutely divine. This will be on my Last Super Wish’s List! Eataly does not disappoints. It is a real treat! Grazie Mille!!!

I love Italy and have been many times. And many times in Italy I have been to Eatsly stores /Restaurants. Walking in here in Dallas was like greeting a long lost friend. If you are not familiar with this company, you should be. Highest quality large variety. And make sure you taste some of their amazing desserts.

This restaurant is one of several in the Eataly store. It kind of felt like dining in the middle of a wonderful Italian market, with food for sale all around. Right smack dab in the middle, Il Pastaio offers a great selection of pasta dishes and other specialties. We were there for lunch and decided to even spurge on a glass of wine that we knew would match the excellent food selection. Went for glasses of the Umani Ronchi Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Jorio. A good selection, but have had better. As for the food and service, both were excellent. Started by splitting the Burrata and the insalata verde. Both were very good but the burrata was truly extraordinary. Perhaps the smoothest, most creamy I have ever tasted. For our mains, my wife had the Proscuitto E Focaccia and I had the Paccheri Ai Frutti Di Mare. Both were very very good, and nice size portions. Servers kept water full and checked in the right amount of times to make sure we were pleased. Based on this experience, we will visit the other restaurants there as well. One negative, we must have been handed four menus each with the various specials and combinations and prix fixe choices. Made things kind of confusing to the point that we found ourselves pulling or calculators to figure out which was the better offer for some items on multiple menu combinations. Totally unnecessary to make a lunch offering so complicated. Dropped down to a 4 ranking because of that, which made things less than perfect.

During the pandemic, like many people, I youtubed, web-surfed, and translated those videos/how-to's into new kitchen skills. I started making fresh pasta so I was very excited to hear the DFW area was getting an Eataly. My husband and I did not brave opening day but visited soon after. In December, Eatlay was limiting the number of customers inside, required masks, and had hand sanitizer at entry ways. Inside, it was incredibly busy. Christmas had yet to happen so the whole front of the store seemed to be nothing but panettone. We picked up some specialty ingredients. To make a long story short, we could not find one of the ingredients that I had specifically come for. At check out, I had a bit of trouble scanning a salami, and I was immediately helped by a wonderfully nice lady. While she was getting help, another attendant came. I think he was with corporate because he was ridiculously knowledgeable. Out of 4 people I asked that day, he was the only person who could answer my question about my specialty ingredient. He then made some excellent coffee recommendations (have since bought multiple bags of same coffee) and gave us some background on why we might not be able to find some of the brand-names I was asking for. For anyone asking what's special about the grocery section, I think what is worth seeing is the meats and the fresh pasta section. In meats, they have a small but mouth watering selection and do dry-aging in house. In pasta, it blew my mind how much variety they had. I want to treat myself to fresh squid ink, but I don't know how I'll talk my kids into eating black noodles yet. Over multiple visits, I have had some of the to go foods; we're still waiting for things to quiet down before sitting down in public with masks off. The cannoli are a must. I do mine with pistachios, but the girls prefer chocolate chips. I always get a cappuccino at the coffee bar, and on my last visit I had an Uovo sandwich for breakfast. The Uovo is roasted pork loin with a hard-boiled egg. Hard-boiled egg may sound boring for breakfast, but it is excellent. The mustard gives it a good tanginess with the roast pork. My husband had sandwich with prosciutto, mozzarella, and I honestly can't remember what else. I was too busy enjoying my sandwich to care about his. Thinking about the pizzas by the slice, the pastries, and another cappuccino; I'm ready to go back again.

I am a 3 strikes and you are out person and today was the 3rd strike. We ate in the Terra and opted to order a la carte versus go for the brunch. This was my grand daughter's birthday and she really wanted to try this restaurant so I gave in. I almost classify this place as a tourist trap. I asked the waiter what the portion size was and he said "enter size" but not quite. What pissed me off is that we were half way through lunch when the table next to us got the royal treatment of shaved Parmesan which we were never offered.I suspect it may because that table had drinks and wine as we had a number of young folks and ordered no alcohol. Tonight, we dined at Sachet in Dallas which is what real Mediterranean food should be.

Had a great time here! Lots of different options for food and drink. Really cool lively environment. They have classes, multiple restaurants, cafes, groceries, gifts etc. A great place to bring friends and family or a nice place to just walk around with a glass of wine and shop for authentic Italian ingredients. The service at the restaurants is great and everyone in the market is happy and willing to help. Will definitely be back!

The food was amazing! Four of us at there and shared a pizza, arrancini, Agnolotti Del Plin, Quadrati, a mozzarella and everything was wonderful! After dinner we walked around the store then bought gelato. I love buying specialty items in the store. It's a great place to spend a few hours!

Pricey but we could do better! This is not what I would call a successful outing!!! We were sat at a table for 2 against the wall adjacent to a service station. My husband's back was 1 foot away from the cash register and the silverware and plates. Each time plates or silverware were needed, we get a jolt ftom the inconsiderate workers who come to do something at the station. The wall was filthy with sauce in different spots...talking about romantic evening...haha... In addition to that, we asked for bread and waiter informed us they don't have any because the shipment didn't make it (july 4th). Poor inventory management. They serve eggplant grilled with skin which adds bitterness. I returned it and asked for carrots. It took so long that we decided to ask for the check. We were uncomfortable and didn't ask to go out and punished...sort of. There are plenty of nice, clean and delicious restaurants in Dallas so we can do better than Terra, Eataly.

We visited last Saturday and had dinner at the Terra restaurant. The experience for myself my wife and my son and his wife couldn’t be better. The service was great and the food was amazing and delicious. Chelsea, the restaurant manager, was amazingly gracious and our service was the ultimate professional. After our dinner we sampled the groceries and bought several loafs of bread and other things. Very happy to have discovered it in Dallas and will definitely be back.

I dined with family members who had eaten here before and had a good experience. It was bad, from start to finish. The best entree, was mediocre. My food was inedible. It was either too salty, or bland, depending on what you ordered. We sent back one entree. There was nothing done to redeem the dish. Just bad execution and food quality. Our waiter was good, and tried to make things better. The manager comped a round of drinks and an appetizer. It still didn’t make up for the appalling meal I was served. I do enjoy the market, but would not recommend the restaurant.

When you’re ready to indulge for a family gathering in an upscale venue..you would expect a fine meal and excellent attentive service. On a recent weekend holiday evening we had the unfortunate experience of an untrained inexperienced serving staff that did not justify the night out. The ambience is wonderful ..which really is inexcusable for what transpired…our drinks were brought out one at a time …it was extremely difficult to manage the restaurant’s decibel level..the noveau music was blaring..the chatter was indiscernible . It was very busy and the staff I guess were overwhelmed.. though our party requested separate checks it may have been the reason why our meals came out in a staggered succession..most of our meals were tepid..and auctioned off without proper positioning as to who got what? Some meals were forgotten, some were inedible, some needed a magnifying glass to rationalize the price . The fare was mediocre…and dessert was beyond comprehension..when the gelato cart server disappeared without warrant…though our party expressed our dissatisfaction to the many managers and comps were issued ..it did not make up for the incompetence…the final straw that was broken was when we were offered an aperitif to soothe our disdain..most of the table didn’t imbibe at all…so without further ado..I leave the decision to you..the reader , to decide why I should even give this restaurant one star at all…you make your own decision..I just made mine

I am giving three stars, only because I have been previously for lunch and the pasta restaurant has some good dishes. The carbonara is the best you will get in DFW, as well as the amitraciana. TWe tried a few things, some of the others were ok. he meatballs were a little disappointing slightly dry and underseasoned. Another pasta dish ok. But I haven't tried everything and I would bet there are some other very good regional pasta dishes on the menu. Pricey for what it is. However, the two pasta dishes mentioned taste the closest by far to dishes you will find in Rome. For that it's worth the trip. There are nice antipasti choices and salads as well. Nice wines and coctails. Fast forward, just returned from Rome. Now, for breakfast, I would give it one star. First off, the prices. An italian company with American pricing. 2nd, the American adaption of a proper cappuchino. There are rules in Italy about the ratios of milk to coffee to foam. The raitos on the big poster there are not it. It's like serving a short at Starbucks. So disappointing. Although the coffee itself is from Turin, you cannot overcome the inccorect ratio, It just does not taste like the cappuchini I was downing the wwek before. Now, the cornetti and the bombolino. We tried 2 cornetti. It was just a croissant filled with overly sweet pastry cream. One was alla crema and the other pistaccio. The pistaccio had pastry cream and a little pistaccio cream on top. Both were wrong. A classic cornetto is a marriage betwwen a brioche and croissant, although laminated, the dough is made with eggs, more sugar, and in most cases citrus zest for a different flavor and texture, with a little bit of cream piped in. This was like eating an overly stuffed, overly sweet mess. For me, inedible. Good bye $7.00. My husband ate his, but didn't like it. He wasn't going to waste $7. I also ordered a bombolino, too heavy and topped with a loose cream that resembled, something I just won't say. Not appetizing to look at, and certainly not to eat. I think it may have been around $6 or $6.50. So I am super happy to be returning to Italy this summer so I can get my cornetto fix. I guess it's probably a blessing that I can't get them here or I would eat 3 a day. Now you may love a croissant stuffed with really sweet cream. As a very proud Italian, I just want people to know how special and different a cornetto is, because what they serve isn't it. (Even in Rome I pay 2.50 Euro for a cornetto and cappuchino, verses somewhere in the $12.00 range here.)

I ate at Eataly Dallas (Northpark) to celebrate my son's birthday. I ordered a salad and a gluten-free pizza. The food was ok, pretty mediocre and not really authentic Italian food. A couple of hours later, I became very sick, and was up all night with an upset stomach. Either the food was contaminated or the pizza wasn't actually gluten-free. I contacted the restaurant directly to let them know and received no response back. I then contacted their national office, and got no response back. Really poor PR.

My sister was in town from West Texas and I was excited to take her to Northpark, including Eataly. The accommodating host sat us and then we experienced a rude waitress when the only question was, "What Pasta is featured today?" Apparently this was just the dumbest question ever and she let me know it. Interestingly, the featured pasta was written on the board just a few feet away, I noticed later. The food was good enough, but too expensive overall and especially for this level of service.

Thursday night @ Terre in Eataly. First, you only have five-minute window to hit your reservation. Second, we're seated in a booth with the most stained, nasty looking cushions I've ever seen. I mean they were bad. We both sat on napkins in the hope our pants wouldn't get stained. (When I mentioned this to the manager on our way out, she admitted they were bad but that upper management won't do anything.) Third, the Insalata Verde is just a pile of lettuce leaves--no tomatoes etc, nothing. Fourth, my spouse's broccolini was the saltiest she's ever had. She never complains about her food. Fifth, my Spaghetto was more Chef Boyardee than anything. At least the free bread was good, and the service was attentive. We live in Dallas and won't be back to Terre.

It must be hard offering Italian food in a city, as much as I love Dallas, that really is void of true Italian dining options. There might be 2 or 3 places that have something that resembles some type of regional Italian food. I have never seen oil and vinegar served with bread any place in Italy. I have seen very few meatballs (polpette) anywhere in Italy except in Piedmonte and they did not resemble what we eat here. Fettuccine Alfredo does not exist in Italy except some tourist trap in Roma, though fettuccine al burro does. It's simply noodles with butter and parmesan usually given to kids when they don't feel well. I have yet to see chicken parm anywhere in Italy. Garlic bread? Please, they would not eat that in Italy. I only say this because a lot of people seem to think these things are true Italian when they really aren't. Not to say these things can't be good and satisfying. But, I think Eataly is from Italy. I've seen them in Genoa, I see they are also in Milano. So they aren't really selling New York style Italian dishes like we generally get here. That all said that does not make Eataly good or bad. I like the pizza there cooked in the wood burning oven. For me, it tastes and feels like pizza from Italy. Not over sauced or over cheesed, good pull, nice burn on the crust and very well done. Pasta has been good for me as well though I always give a restaurant an occasional pass on that but my experience here is good pasta, not over sauced and only a few ingredients. That's how it's supposed to be done. Good fresh salads, though that's really not a huge thing in Italian culture. they like a few mixed greens served with a little oil and nice vinegar eaten with or after meal. My main complaint is the price, especially the wine cost. They do not mark up wine in Italy like they do here. They just wouldn't pay it. I know it's high rent but come on. You have a nice selection, I know what you pay for a bottle so it seems somewhat gratuitous. Conclusion, great place for pizza and pasta. Fairly authentic, but somewhat overpriced.

The worst experience in Italian restaurants in Dallas and I really understand Italian quality because I’m an Italian. Wine was corked, the burrata was warm and sour, and lastly the lasagna was farrrrr away from the concept of Italian lasagna, salty and watery, without any flavor. I will never come back!

I was eager to eat at pizza and pasta. The pizza was ok but all the pastas were awful Tomatoe and caccio Peppe They needed parmigian cheese and salt and pepper All three took so long to be brought in that the pastas were cold I am sorry because this place has access to the best ingredients and the best location! Why ruin the food!!!! It was awful!!!!

We went in the Eataly Walking Tour and Tasting. It was 90 minutes of Eating Tasting Wine Cheese, meat, desserts etc. Truly amazing time. Their motto is Eat, Shop, Learn and we did! Our "guide" Robert Picone was informative, personable, and just fun to be around.

Okay so this place is so cute and the pasta is fresh! Ii love some fresh pasta so that was a hit. My sister brought me here knowing I love pasta and a good cocktail and we got just that. Service was kinda slow but not enough to make that the highlight or deter me from coming back again. I love a good experience one was had! Parking can be tough in the lot so be prepared to maybe do a few circles depending on the day!

We met friends for dinner at Terra and I was pleased to find that the food was delicious. I really didn't find anything on the menu that struck me - but the pasta I chose was great! The pasta was fresh and the sauce light and tasty. The bread was also good. I thought the prices were too high for what we got, but we did enjoy the atmosphere and the service was very good. We also thoroughly enjoyed shopping in the grocery downstairs and bought many items you just can't get in the local grocery store. I would like to go again for pizza.

A magical place, typically Italian pizza and pasta, very delicious, wonderful atmosphere and what's more, we have products all around the territory to be very, very good

I've now been to this restaurant (downstairs at the more casual place) three times, the latest a birthday celebration for 14. Each time has been a delight. The pasta is sublime, and the pizzas have that thin, tangy crust that makes you want to eat it all--including the crusts. Last night I had Tagliata di Manzo, a grilled hangar steak with arugula salad on the side. GREAT combination of flavors, cooked rare, as I had requested. Wait staff invariably courteous and helpful. For our party of 14, manager Michael helped us pre-select wines and apps so there was food and wine on the tables before guests arrived. He was attentive throughout the meal, as was Christa, our waitress.

Decided to join a large group of friends for dinner at Terra. The restaurant can accommodate large groups and our waitress was trained properly and could handle it! This is a plus because even though there were 8 of us, large groups can be difficult. The shareable dish with steak was the best! The bread is excellent and the tiramisu is wonderful. This is a great restaurant! You will not be disappointed.

We visited La Pizza & La Pasta at the Dallas location of Eataly. Service was slow. The focaccia bread was great. Their version of a caprese salad was not good. Tomatoes good but not great, Mozzarella probably the best thing on the dish but not enough of it. Also not near enough basil. No basalmic vinegar at all and way to much salt. For entrees two of us had the Cacio e Pepe and found it overly saucy and uninspired with little pepper . The Carbonara was dreadful with no pancetta or bacon at all. On a good note one of us ordered the mussels and they were extraordinary. I expect better than 1 outta 3 for a restaurant this expensive though. We also had to send back the Valpolicella wine we ordered as it was undrinkable, although the Montepulciano we had as a replacement was very good. Finally the cannoli for desert was pedestrian at best. For a place that wants to bring authentic Italian food to the world it may be the place for authentic Italian groceries but their pasta and pizza restaurant is not worth the money and we will not return.

We spent an hour in Table 922 hell. Made a last minute Father's Day reservation when our original restaurant called to say they had no power. Food was good. Not great when you stack it up against the other $25 pasta restaurants. As good as 7 others, not as good as 4 others. Our server (Caitlin) was terrific. We will not go back. I judge restaurants on table assignment logic. When it's half full (like tonight) you expect to get the best table they have at the time. I spent an hour looking at the electrical door, service cart, high chairs, POS, and 3-5 servers and bussers milling around. I thought that all of the better tables were being held for people soon coming in. No...half the restaurant sat empty. Would have asked to move but by the time the appetizers arrived it seemed like a hassle. Won't go back.

My wife and I and my best friend and his wife had a fantastic experience at this event where we met the owner and wine maker of Poggerino, Piero Lanza. The wines, paired with cheese courses, were delicious and Piero was informative and engaging. Caution - Eataly provided a 10% discount card for that day only but at the cash register while buying Poggerino (and other) wine, was told it didn't apply to wine purchases. Go figure - attend a wine tasting, be given a 10% discount card and it doesn't apply to the produce being tasted. Laughable, at best; dishonest, at worst. (pic included below)

It was a special celebration for our daughter, in fact she requested that we come here. We love the market and counter service and thought that dining at La Pizza and La Pasta would be similar. We were very wrong. For the record, both my wife and I have decades of experience in the service industry, including fine dining, in both the front and the back of the house. We always over-tip and always give as much grace as possible when eating out, especially when it's busy. We had a reservation. It was a lovely evening and, walking in, we noticed there were some open tables on the patio. The hostess didn't ask if we had any sort of seating preference, and proceded to seat us right next to the kitchen. The waiter didn't mention specials, drinks, desserts, or anything else. He took our orders. That would be the last we would see of him for awhile, although he was always in the area. Someone else delivered our food. When the waiter did finally come back to the table (mid-entree), he didn't ask about our food or drinks. He just took our water bottle away and never returned with either the bottle or any more water (more on the water in a second). We never saw him again until the end of the meal, when we had to ask another member of the service team for a check. Actually, we asked for our check and some water, as we had run out of water mid-meal and were all pretty thirsty. The employee we asked for water told us we we would have to talk to our server about getting water. He then stood 8 feet away from our table, (again, we were backed up to the kitchen) standing there with two or three other employees and doing nothing but staring at me and smirking. Also, regarding the food, the back of the house seemed to be as ambivalent about preparing quality food as the front of the house was about providing quality service. So between the mediocre (at best) food, the absolute lack of anything resembling service, and the smirking jackass who not only did not do his job, but seemed to feel awfully proud of himself for not doing it, it was probably the worst service either of us have ever had. Eataly's market and counter service is fine. Avoid the restaurant.

We had been to eataly before on a prior visit to Dallas. The Dallas location is in the fantastic North Park Center Mall. It is 3 stories and includes restaurant, a full Italian grocery store, eateries that are bars around the 2nd floor that feature pasta, pizzas, desserts, and gelato. Downstairs on the first floor they have a full coffee shop. There are so many homemade pastas and pizzas you can grab a bar seat if you don't want to wait for a table in the busy restaurant. The restaurant has entrees that can go up to the 40 and 50 dollar range so if you choose to splurge a family of four could pay in upwards of 2 hundred or better after tax and tip especially if they choose wine or other alcoholic drinks. They have so many Italian family take home and bake entrees, side dishes, Italian meats, sauces, breads, produce where you can be the Italian chef at home. They carry pretty much everything you need. Try out the area of cases of Italian chocolates, candies and other confections. The chocolates will run you approximately 25 dollars per pound. Eataly has a unique ambiance and you can even sign up for Italian cooking classes. This place is all about Italian and the art of partaking of amazing Italian cuisine. You can enter from both floors one and two inside of the mall or outside of Eataly 's main entrance.

Really good fresh Italian food, got some homemade pizzas to bring home that were delicious, fun atmosphere inside too!

What a delight to find Eately in the mall. We enjoyed our gelato and chocolate chip cookie. The choices of Italian foods of all kinds was so impressive. Wish we had come during a meal time to enjoy the fresh pasta.
Birthday gone wrong
We ate at La Pizza la pasta food was decent but the service was horrible. The waiter had a take it or leave it attitude. A member of our party asked for a substitution on a dish and was told that the chef didn't like requests. Excuse me? Who is working for whom? A decent Italian meal for over$200? No thanks. Unfortunately, this restaurant is just another overpriced mall restaurant.
