Lunch at Joey's

By sonia m |

Joeys in Aventura I recently had an amazing lunch experience at Joey in Aventura with my friends. The food and overall experience were exceptional. Chef Jossye introduced himself and checked in on us, adding a special touch to our meal. Everything we ordered, including the drinks, was delicious. Our server and bartender, Ashley, was super friendly and extremely helpful in suggesting different options to accommodate our dietary needs. Her recommendations were spot-on. I highly recommend Joey's in Aventura. You will not be disappointed!

Joye at Aventura Esplanade

By Tiina_fly |

New restaurant at Aventura Esplanade with great atmosphere and personable service from the time we walked in until we left few hours later. I had some of the best hummus that I’ve ever had for starter as well as delicious chicken lettuce wraps . Fish tacos could have used a bit more spices in my taste but the steak with lobster was delicious . We were served by a charming young man Xhosa , whose knowledge and recommendations were detailed and rigjt on the money . We shall return .

Waiters in training, handle with care – delicate egos ahead, full prices apply.

By Mario C |

Went to Joeys Aventura a few months ago during its "learning phase." Despite the steep prices for mediocre food, the real treat was the delightful service. Our server kindly reminded us to vacate the table by 7 pm, showcasing top-notch hospitality. Another server, a mind-reader in training, interrupted to verify our orders, treating it like a cognitive challenge. Turns out, this attitude was endorsed by the manager, who believes constructive criticism hurts delicate server egos. Perhaps a warning sign for customers would be fitting: "Waiters in training, handle with care – delicate egos ahead, full prices apply."

Worst lunch ever

Terrible business idea !!!

By Joey_G_LawFirm |

Wine is marked up 5-8x - Whomever made the wine list took some medication prior. Few reasons why a restaurant closes 1. Ridiculous pricing 2. Poor food quality 3. Terrible Service Joey’s hits all 3! Good day

Fave Spot

I came in again after a few months and it was better than before. Big smiles from staff and my friends loved the feel of the place . Our Saturday night spot.

Joey’s @ Aventura/Esenade Mall. Nee hot spot

By Richard M |

Great atmosphere. Dj on Fridays and Saturdays. But very social atmosphere. Great place for singles, families and friends as well as business dinners during the day. Food is immaculate. Many choices and great variety. Bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable. Especially Brandon, Vinnie, Sheyanne, Ashley, Tyrone and Josh. They even know how to pair your food with cocktails and wine to the T. Especially Sheyanne. Managers are friendly and accommodating. A new place at the Aventura/Esplenade mall that is hip, happening and enjoyable. A must go and see place, day or night. You will love it no matter if your visiting or coming back multiple times. Just go and see it for yourself

A nice restaurant

By Sinrumbo |

A beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere and aesthetically pleasing. Needs tuning, more waiters and the food and delivery can be improved, it took a while to get the food and the beverages including water to our table. The waiter in charged of ourselves had a good attitude but little training. It is a new restaurant nevertheless it is not an excuse for the weaknesses. The managers should pass by and ask us how the restaurant is doing. I wish them the best!

Terrible experience.

By Paul H |

The only thing good about this restaurant is its decor. The restaurant is beautiful but that’s it. The drinks are skimpy for the price. We were seated upstairs with a great view but it was down hill from there. We ordered drinks which took a while to come and then the waitress disappeared. We kept asking different servers to take our order and finally after another 15 minutes she came over. We ordered appetizers and waited and waited for 45 minutes and still no food. Spoke to a manager and was told the kitchen was backed up. At this point our party was infuriated and we had lost our appetites so we got up and walked out. You ruined our evening so I suggest you better get your act together if you want a successful restaurant.

Joeys is worthless for your time!

By Judy G |

we have been there twice……… first and last time: food is tastless _ portion small to the $!!! Expensive and overrated by staff

JOEY satisfaction guaranteed.

Fun, dynamic and good food. Easy access in a place with many shops around. We were all very pleased with the requests. As always the American is super fast in service. It was very worth it and it was my second time there.

Great food and service. Highly recommended

Great food, ambiance and service. We ordered the salmon that was amazing, the burger (great, too) and a 10 points cheese cake crème brûlée. Thanks Mariana for be in each detail!

A Must !

Came in for a couple drinks and stayed way longer than anticipated. Staff is remarkable, fun and attentive. Will be back with friends.

Pricey and not impressive

By Cristiana R |

New spot at Esplanade in Aventura. Beautiful place although the prices were very expensive and the portions were small. On top of that food was good, but not impressive for the price. Drinks and beer are charged above the comparable restaurants in the area. Not coming back

Excelent!

Everything here was excellent. Service, food, dessert and beautiful restaurant. We will come back soon! The pasta pomodoro was delicious!

Great for lunch, dinner or drinks

By Frank G |

It has been a while since my last time at Joey, more than a while actually, it had been actually years. My last time was in 2022 at their Woodland Hills California location. This location has not been opened for too long, perhaps a year or so. Once I learnt they opened this location, I have been trying to come and see if it was as its sister location in California. I finally made it for lunch a couple weeks ago and my experience was good overall. I had the Mediterranean bowl, the katsu chicken salad and a spicy margarita. Let’s start with my least favorite, the Mediterranean bowl. While it was good, not great but good, I think it was too pricey for what you get, specially the chicken portion. You would expect it would be a bit more generous for a $27 bowl. On the other hand, the chicken katsu salad was delicious. A salad without a good dressing is not a good salad, and this one had the perfect dressing. The chicken was nicely fried, so crispy and it didn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. All in all, I would drive to Aventura just for this. I had their spicy margarita and it was refreshing and strong, so good. Looking forward to my return.

I recently had the privilege of experiencing one of the most outstanding and remarkable Joey Adventura.

During my inaugural visit to Aventura, I had the pleasure of taking my sister to Joey Aventura to celebrate her birthday with late-night drinks and appetizers following a shopping spree at the mall. Upon arriving at Joey Aventura, we were immediately struck by the elegant atmosphere and received a warm welcome from an exceptional host who greeted us with a glass of champagne. The establishment offers fantastic drink specials throughout the week, including specific days and multiple times within those days. I highly recommend requesting the service of Giselle who served as our waitress. She exhibited remarkable professionalism, and a delightful personality, and demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the menu. Giselle provided outstanding recommendations and even surprised my sister with an exquisite dessert, accompanied by the staff's heartfelt birthday wishes. Ending our day at Joey Aventura was a decision that I am truly grateful for, as it made the night even more special compared to the various other venues we visited throughout the day. The trip was so incredible that I can't believe we drove almost three hours to get there. We're heading back before the end of the month, I know it's going to be worth it all over again!

Great place in Aventura

By Brion C |

There is a new development going up right next to Aventura Mall with lots of restaurants and businesses. One of the new restaurants is part of a national chain - Joey Restaurant. It’s big with 2 floors of tables and a huge round bar area with stools and high tables. It’s modern and spacious and attractive. The service is great (at least at the bar where I sat) and the food is darn good too. I had the fish tacos - nice crispy fresh white fish and shrimp in a nice tasty sauce with guacamole, and the really good molten chocolate cake and ice cream dessert. Will go back and sit at the bar and try other things!

Excellent food and excellent service

By Burt W |

We had excellent food and excellent service provided by our waiter Luis. Chef Edgar Chef Nuria, and Chef Hamid and Chef Randy all played a role in our great dishes. Guest that were waiting to be seated were offered free sparkling wine and the opportunity to pick from a tray of appetizers. The ambiance was upscale and the prices were consistent, but worth every cent. I would definitely go again.

Neighborhood gem!

By FromMiamitotheWorld |

I went twice to this place and I really liked. The staff was friendly and the food was good. The environment is great and I call it as a "neighborhood gem" since I live in Aventura. The welcome "bubbles" is the best. Please keep it.

Ayana and Mariana would have earned five stars even if we didn’t like the food- BUT WE ALL LOVED IT! Sea Bass with a saki glaze was to live for!

Stay away

By david |

They lost our reservation and couldn’t find it. When they did find it they told us it would be 35 minute wait. And it went downhill from there. Service was atrocious. Waited 15 minutes for a server to even come to our table. Ten more minutes for water. Had to go to the bar myself to get my wife a refill on club soda. The salmon was dry and way overcooked. And when it came to paying the bill, which I was anxious to do, in order to end this dining nightmare, the server was engaged in a 5 minute social interaction with another table, such that I finally got up and walked over to her, had to tap her on the shoulder and hand her our credit card. The worst dining experience I’ve had in years. By far.

Mixed Review

By Yamica D |

I visited Joey's in Aventura this past Sunday for the second time with my sister, and overall, it was another enjoyable dining experience—with a few mixed feelings regarding an incident. To start, I really love the complimentary bubbles offered upon entry. It was such a refreshing touch, especially on a hot day. Our server, Rachel, was absolutely phenomenal—quick, attentive, and incredibly friendly. I was actually shocked she said she just started working there. She checked on us consistently and even gave excellent cocktail recommendations that hit the mark perfectly. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and the cauliflower, and both were delicious with a little bit of a kick. For entrées, we tried the Mediterranean Bowl and the Steak & Shrimp Ravioli—both dishes were delicious! While the steak came out a bit cold, it wasn’t enough to inform Rachel about it, especially since the overall flavor of the dish made up for it.To end the meal, we shared the apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which was the perfect sweet finish. NOW FOR THE BAD PART, I did have a concerning experience that I feel is important to mention. Joey’s has an open kitchen concept, which I typically appreciate as it brings a sense of transparency and trust to the dining experience. Unfortunately, I witnessed a moment that compromised that feeling. A chef, who appeared to be the lead chef (based on his different uniform), was plating food what looked like wings with his bare hands. Shortly after, I saw him approach a man dining who had a dog with him and proceeded to pet/ rub the dog all over his belly and head —including letting the dog lick the palm of his hand. He then returned to the kitchen, using an iPad and handling kitchen items—without washing his hands! I brought this to Rachel’s attention, and she was extremely apologetic and responsive. She immediately notified the Assistant GM, Traya, who came over to personally apologize and assured us that the issue would be addressed with the chef. While I did later see the chef wash his hands, he was still using the same iPad, which was already contaminated, and continued touching kitchen items. For a restaurant with an open kitchen, visible hygiene practices are crucial, and I hope this is something the management takes seriously moving forward. This incident did make me worry about whether cross contamination occurred for meals. I do believe Joey's has a lot to offer, but I would HIGHLY recommend training on hygiene protocols—especially given the transparency an open kitchen demands. It’s small steps like these that build greater trust with guests and elevate the dining experience even further. Overall I enjoyed my meal and the excellent service from Rachel!

Birthday Dinner

By celeste c |

Me and my Family had Dinner at Joey's on September 16th, actually it was for my Birthday, from the Beginning to End was Exceptional. Hospitality was Great, Ambience Great, Noise level was Great where you don't have to speak loudly to hear the guests at your table, unlike some other Restaurants. Our Server Eddie was Phenomenal, and we will DEFINTELY be requesting him again when we go there again he was kind, very sweet, and very attentive, he even sang Happy Birthday to me at the end once we cut my Birthday Cake, I even gave him a slice. Food was on point, KUDOS to the Great Chef, food came out promptly and HOTTT, we will DEFINTELY return. I wana try the Crab Cakes, We had Salmon, Sushi, a Burger, Chicken Parmesan, Truffle Parmesan Fries, and Sliders Royale, needless to say we cleaned the plates nothing was left behind. I defintely recommend for a Nice & Quiet Evening for Dinner, we did have reservations, and was greeted and escorted to our table Promptly. It's one of my Favorites now added on to my list of places, I hope they continue with Excellency throughout the upcoming months/ years.

Great Aventura dining experience!

By Adam S |

We have been seeing the new JOEY Aventura restaurant being built for quite some time now, and we were so excited to see how popular it was in other locations, and the menu looked amazing as well! We went with one of our friends on a Saturday night for dinner, and we made reservations two weeks in advance. I highly recommend making reservations in advance for prime dining times as when we arrived, people were being turned away if they didn't have reservations. Joey is located in the Aventura Esplanade, which looks like it's part of Aventura Mall, but it's not. However they have plenty of free parking at the Esplanade and also valet right in front of the restaurant as well. When you enter, they have an employee greet you and hold the door open as well. They provide you with a glass of complimentary Prosecco or sparkling water as you enter the restaurant on the left, and they escort you to the host stand. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and were greeted a few minutes afterwards by our server, Lilia. Lilia was so warm and welcoming and made us feel at home and offered to answer any questions we had about the menu. We ordered the summer special (Watermelon Drink) to start for $16/each. The drink was very nice, refreshing and a good pour as well. For an appetizer we ordered the Korean Cauliflower Appetizer ($15.25), which was outstanding, it tasted like you were eating chicken wings and the sauce was homemade I believe and had an amazing flavor! We also shared the Roasted Corn Guacamole ($16) and also was really amazing and both dishes were a nice size for 3 people to share. For entrees, we all ordered different dishes. I ordered the Burger and added cheese and included a salad for ($23.50), and the burger was a nice size, good quality, and very flavorful. I highly recommend trying JOEY if you're in the area, food and service are outstanding and much needed in the Aventura area!

Great new spot at the Aventura Mall, Aventura, Florida.

excellent service by Ayana. Food was great. One suggestion...move the garlic wedge toast out of the "Salad" section on the menu to the "Starter/Appetizer" section. Makes no sense to have this great garlic toast in the salad section.

Delicious Joey

Joey Aventura was an excellent experience from beginning to end. Summer greeted us at the door with sparkling wine; and that was just the beginning of a wonderful food and beverage experience. Our server, Darlia , was personable, attentive, efficient and knowledgeable. All of the selections of food and beverage options were delicious and well presented. This neighborhood gem is a must visit.

Get rid of those paper napkins

By foodiesouthflorida |

New to Aventura, nice looking place, amazing service due to having staff come in around around the country to insure a good opening. Diverse comfort food menu but if you're going to spend $50++ per person for dinner why are you getting a paper napkin???

Very bad steak.

By Ariestennisgirl |

The starters were all great but our waitress recommended the Joey steak. The steak was disgusting. And so was the other steak dish that another person in our party had. I had to spit mine out. I did bring this to our waitress attention but no action was taken on their behalf. Anyway a shame because the place is nice.

Cozy and delicious place

An Excellent Restaurant in Aventura

By Danitza M |

My friends and I had an incredible time at Joey Aventura due to its gorgeous and contemporary style, nice music, and tasty food such as Ravioli Blanco, Korean Fried Cauliflower, and Pita chips. Desserts like chocolate cake, and tasty cocktails. The service was top-level; Marianna, our server was very friendly and competent; she recommended great suggestions about the menu. So glad that we found this restaurant and we will come back soon.

Great experience

Joey Aventura was one of the best dining experiences I ever had! From walking through the front door to leaving. Best customer service I had in such a long time. The food was absolutely amazing. The menu has so many great options for everyone. Very diverse. The atmosphere was also beautiful and unique. You can tell they put a ton of effort into making this turn out the way it did. I have absolutely nothing negative at all to say. Management came to greet the table and had great conversation. 10/10 will definitely be retiring and plan on becoming a regular customer! Thank you!
