Food was great like in many places in LA. The waitress was flirty. No teamwork-one waitress would take her dirty plates and dump them on another table as opposed to taking it inside. Tables don’t get reset for 35 minutes on observation during our meal. We had to wait 30 min for a table but now I see it’s not because it was busy. There was no management presence or maître d’ checking on guests. It has so much potential but lacking a leader.

Another good meal with good service ruined by management insisting on creating a “vibe” with loud thumping house music being piped in over your head. Clearly I am not the target audience here (this for millennials), but do you have to have such poor taste in music? It all sounded canned, loud and from the same factory. A little imagination would go a long way. Here there was none.

We ate here twice when here in April. Came back and didn’t disappoint. Service excellent and food is great. Flavours are distinct and delicious!

JOEY is fun, swanky, and the newest hot spot to be seen in DTLA. Waiting to get seated? No worries, grab a flute of complimentary champagne to keep you hydrated and warm on the inside until your table is ready. They take reservations here so avail of it because I assure you there will be a wait. I recommend the Korean Fried Cauliflower coated with chili miso paste for starters. It'll make a non-cauliflower fan, a fan. Loved the flavor and the crunch factor on each bite. If you want something good and safe, their Calamari Fritti would be a solid choice. Like almost everyone else at our table, I had their Lobster Ravioli for my main which I thought was decent. Portion was small, too. A few cons to take note - it took time for our food to arrive and our server wasn't the greatest. On the plus side, you can get validated parking at Macy’s garage next door.

We went there before concert at the Microsoft theater. It was walkable to the theater. Perfect summer night, we got there around 530pm, and we sat at the outdoor patio. It was great because the high rise provided shades to sit outside. Per our waitress, their menu is "globally inspired " using fresh ingredients. We got free got free champagne as we walked in at the hostess counter. You're really paying for the ambiance, to be "hip" and hitting DTLA. It's your young, hipster, millennial crowd. I would say it's family friendly , there are families with young kids. Food: yea, you'll pay a little more because of the location. I would say it's just above average, but not out of this world. I had the lobster grilled cheese. BF had the Bollywood bowl. We enjoyed our time. Nice staff and service.

Very welcoming staff, even offered a complimentary champagne upon arrival. The chicken wings were delicious!

A relaxing predominance of black and gold is the colour scheme as you wander into reception, with smart, dark-suited female staff ushering you into a custom designed table whilst the quiet bustle of the bar continues in front. Friendly and helpful, the person assigned to your table advises, chats, explains, then brings the best food I've tasked in months. I haven't experienced a better restaurant for atmosphere.

Have been a very long time since I’ve tasted so amazing food. I had steak and ravioli, my other half had prime steak (he has gluten allergy) and the best dinner in years. If you’re looking for a good time and quality food then this is your place.

We went there on a Friday evening without having a reservation. They very nicely bridged the wait time with a free class of wine and kept us updated about the wait time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The ceviche appetizer was fabulous, the entire family loved it. For the main course we had chicken, salmon and steak. The steak was a bit too peppery, the other main courses were delicious. Everything could have been a bit hotter, but we understand the busy time on such evening. Overall very very nice food, but a few shortcomings for a five star rating.

Brand new location. Very nice place, food is good but is a bit overpriced for what it offers, but considering this is Downtown LA, it is not surprising. Works until 1 am which is a big plus. Make reservation ahead - the place is very busy.

Fantastic service from walk-in to departure. Seated immediately at lunchtime, complimentary sparking wine, immaculate-friendly staff and well-presented-delicious food. Would highly recommend.

Large restaurant in the Sheraton building. Nice décor and open to the street if weather permits. I sat in the bar for dinner, and all the meals that passed by my, were really looking good. Hard to choose from the menu:) Great service as well and the wine selection was perfect.

Excellent. Great welcome with complimentary bubbles. Fantastic service from Ash and a menu that we could choose a different meal for many days and be delighted. Lunch today. Touring LA from the UK. I had the crab cakes and have to say they were the best I have ever tasted. Others in our group had katsu chicken and chicken bowl. Great atmosphere. Really delighted. Hope to go back.

Food is very good, ambiance is cool. Wine pours are horribly small. Do not order a nice wine. You get about 4 ounces.

I haven’t had good service in a while. Drina was fantastic. I loved all of her recommendations. Will be back for dinner to try more of the drinks.

This place is unique and deserves a mention. Food is good, my salmon was really good. Mashed taters and asparagus and the Devine apple pie were great. But what set this place apart at least to me was the service. Not stuffy. Not overly sappy attentive. There was one server in particular that just stood out. I travel alone so I do a lot of listening and people watching. This gal treated everyone, including the homeless guy that was talking to her from the street, with respect kindness and a twinkle in her eye. I was smitten. And I told her as much on my way out. The most beautiful thing about her was how she treated others. I hope the restaurant takes care of her. If I ever return to LA, this place will be the first place I go. The whole staff was amazing, don’t get me wrong. Whoever does the hearing needs a promotion. What a wonderful experience. Jim Preston 4/18/21 815pm

Had lunch here with two friends. We were welcomed very friendly and offered complimentary champagne, already off to a great start. We shared some amazing starters and than some sushi with a nice chicken salade. The waitress gave us great advice and rest of the staff was also very nice. Overall great experience and good quality of food. The best we had in LA so far

My reservation was for 10:45pm and as I arrived it was surprisingly busy with many people waiting at the reception desk. The hostess quickly greeted me and immediately sat me. The place has a cool classy nightclub/restaurant vibe. The bar is separated from the restaurant area and was very lively. Jack, my server came over right away and took my order – a Kettle One martini with three blue cheese olives and San Pellegrino to start. Whenever a place has blue cheese olives, I always go with a martini to start! I ordered the Japanese Gyoza to start my meal. They were presented on a long plate drizzled with the most delicious Asian sauce – really tasty. For dinner I went with the herb crusted salmon in a truffle beurre Blanc sauce surrounded by asparagus and snap peas. It was a beautiful presentation, but the disk lacked a distinct truffle flavor that I was looking for and love. I wanted a sambuca liquor for dessert but was told they don’t stock it, which seemed surprising for the size of the bar. Although the main dish was slightly flat, overall, I would come back again and try some of their other amazing sounding choices. I’m going to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt and rate it 5 stars, since I would rate it at a 4.6 if I was allowed to be that granular.

Walked in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the great atmosphere, wide-ranging menu and tremendous service. Bianca was so helpful and the food so good, I came back for a late night salad and wine.

We enjoyed our dinner here very much!! You’ll have a good look at downtown LA and very friendly staff, good food and rich choices for food and wine.

The location is great and walking past the atmosphere & buzz is what draws me in. I was lucky to get a table and ordered the Watermelon Drink which was delicious. I had the herb crusted salmon with mash, garden peas and asparagus for main and couldn't get enough of it. It tastes good! I decided on the Molten Chocolate Cake for dessert and wasn't disappointed. I'd definitely be back again when I'm next in LA.

Beautiful spot, good music and tasty food. Is for couples, families, friends and the bar is excellent, many options to choose

Nice friendly, attentive staff that really made an effort. Nicely greeted and made welcome. Great atmosphere and a delicious steak and prawn lunch followed by delish chocolate lava cake. Wonderful server was Dee. Will definitely return on my next visit to LA. No surprise it was packed with guests, and had many waiting very soon after my arrival.

Amazing food and atmosphere was lively, music Rnb nice vibe overall 100% will be back! , food too is given in a timely manner and cocktails were great

A great spot for a late night meal after a long day. Service was terrific. We shared the sliders and then each had a pasta. Great atmosphere for sure!

Friendly place, attentive staff, delicious food, recommend the steak frites, the best I've ever meowed in the USA

First glance the food looks pricey. Portions were generous and worth it. Nice seating and interior design. Plenty of tables so no wait at 1pm on a Saturday.

Was packed with a45 min wait but was able to get a seat at the bar after 20 minutes Was given a champagne while we waited before we saw two spots at the bar ( but we did have to ask for it) This place is beautifully appointed with lights, decor and super clean spaces inside and out on their patio areas At the bar we ordered dinner plates and an appetizer and glasses of wine The staff at bar were very attentive and engaging I waffled between a couple dishes and had given the server the option to pick one for me Was very pleased with her choice of the ahi salad it was amazing My boyfriend ordered the steak with shrimp and lobster ravioli And a gyoza appetizer The appetizer was prompt When dinner was served he received the wrong dish Not a real problem as mine was a cold dish The wait staff was courteous and offered a free refill on his wine as it took time to get his ordered plate It was definitely worth the time his order was amazing as well as mine Delicious food Great service A place to visit for sure We will be back

Highly recommended by millieum biltmore concierge & we were not disappointed with great service from young lady T ? Excellent salad starter my wife had delicious salmon & I had lobster & steak ravioli to die for. While definitely plan to return before our vacation completes thanks again for excellent dining experience W&M from Scotland

We had the Pork Chops and the Lobster spaghetti. Both were lovely meals, Robin was great, her service is impeccable! Highly recommend a visit!

Warmly welcomed and offered a complimentary glass of wine while waiting for our reserved table (which didn't take long). Fun vibe in this place - food was delicious! We all got the Joey Classic Steak b/c we were all intrigued by the "fully loaded, crispy mashed potatoes" and o.m.g. were they GOOD. Steaks were done to perfection and delicious. My only complaint is my broccoli was cold. Service was fantastic . . they even topped off the water glasses without having to be asked (this is huge in my book b/c I drink a lot of water). Would definitely recommend going here.

Exceptional in every respect. Service, food and ambiance. Great location if you’re visiting kids at USC... or staying downtown for any occasion.

As tourists, we found it difficult to find a good place to eat. We stumbled across this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. The service and food were excellent. Although, meal sizes are generous, quality and flavour were not compromised. We shared Szechwan chicken, crab cakes with rocket salad. Both fantastic. The coffee was the best I’ve had in five weeks travel in Canada and USA. All staff were friendly and the whole place had a nice vibe.

It's noisy and lively here, best to book for the evening or you will be waiting ( 20 mins when we went on a Friday). Note they ask you to sit in a waiting area and serve you complimentary drinks although we seemed invisible to the server until we asked. Older people like us may be overlooked in LA. All much better once we were allocated a table. Prices a little high and gettting late so we stuck to mains and drinks. Husband felt the steak was one of the best he has eaten, blackened chicken also very tender. 2 mains, drinks and coffee total $87 exc tips.

Lunch time rush in downtown LA can be hectic however Joey’s knows how to calm the crowd with complimentary champagne while you wait ; ) You have an option for outside patio seating with some cool city views or people watch as you eat and enjoy your beverage of choice. The customer service was great and the food delicious. The establishment was very clean and well kept. Take advantage of the attached parking structure. It’s much cheaper and Joey’s validate.

This is a very popular dinner spot, especially for after office parties and tourists. The weeknight we went it was packed to the gills. Don't expect a quiet conversational evening. That being said, even being kept waiting at the door despite reservations, the place made up for it in terms of attentive service. The night we were there they were pouring champagne for those waiting. I am not sure if it was a special night or they always do that. We had been to their sister establishment in Bellevue, WA. It is a standardized menu so do not expect unusual surprises. The portions are enormous, and I could make do with chicken lettuce wraps and pork dumpling starters as dinner. My suggestion is to share plates given their size. The waitress was great. The cocktails were superb. For California dining it is not unreasonably priced. I suspect many restaurants in downtown LA are this boisterous.

Amazing food and great atmosphere . Attentive staff and clean and crisp surroundings. Joey has already become a member of our family !

We (my wife, my daughter and I) dropped in by accident. It was rather busy so we had to wait like 30 minutes for a table. Food and service was worth every minute of waiting. Would reccomend this to anyone.

We were excited to try this highly rated restaurant. We were sorely disappointed. After being seated we had to wait 15 minutes for a server. Our then went on break and we got a substitute server. We got our drinks after having to ask when they would arrive. They brought me a very small pour of sparkling wine. After another longish wait our food came. I had ordered the tuna poke salad and my friend got a filet. My salad was good but there was very little tuna on it. My friend’s steak was overdone and dry. It was covered in garlic butter which wasn’t in the description. She sent it back. After another longish wait period of waiting for another round of drinks, the wrong wine was brought and the wait for a replacement was long time. The manager came to our table and we explained the issues we had and she very nicely ordered a new steak for my friend and comped us a round of drinks. All the staff were polite and apologetic but our dining experience was nonetheless, disappointing.

Place with lots of atmosphere and lots of class. Exquisite service and excellent food. Very good meat (both steak and hamburger), very good starters and "moderate" prices to be LA Super recommended.

Lots of people on a Saturday night. Got a spot in the bar and the most delicious raviolis accompanied by lobster and tenderloin of beef. Not to forget the excellent Califonia Pinot Noir that completed the experience:)

I’ve been to joey dtla two nights in a row, and both visits were absolutely fantastic. The food was tasty, and beautifully presented each time. The vibe of the place is pretty good. The server was really kind and tbh she was lwk fine tho. It is a great place.

Good service and friendly staff with good food. The burger was great and the salads are too! I wish there were more inexpesnive options on the mneu & that's why I gave it 4 stars. Also, we parked at the macy's parking structure and got our parking ticket validated as we left Joey but for some reason it didn't work & we had to pay full-price.

My wife and I came to Joey DTLA for our anniversary. As soon as our waiter, Eric, heard we were celebrating our anniversary he brought us two glasses of champagne. From there the service only got better. He recommended a beer which turned out to be very good. Eric was very attentive and we were glad to see he didn't have to wear a face diaper, I mean mask, since he was serving outside. We ordered the pan-fried gyoza's which were delicious. We then ordered the Filet with loaded fried mashed potatoes. My wife and I shared the meal so we could save room for dessert. The steak was cooked perfect and the potatoes were surprising good. We ordered the individually baked apple pie and it was extremely good. Thank goodness we saved room to fully enjoy the whole thing. Besides Eric we have to give a big thanks to Danny. While he was walking around lighting candles, we asked if he could turn the heater on which was above my wife. When we noticed he had not turned the heater on yet, I flagged him down and asked him again. He admitted he forgot (noble of him) and after turning the heater on he came back and asked if he could buy my wife and I each a shot to make up for his forgetfulness. Of course he let him and we ordered a Lemon Drop and a shot of whiskey. The whiskey he brought me was Woodford Reserve - top notch! Between the food, the service, and the drinks it was a great evening celebrating our anniversary at Joey DTLA.

Traveling on business and a coworker and I stopped in by chance. Staff was very friendly and happy to see us (it was mobbed so this was an exciting change for me). Good selection of food. I had the Tuna Salad. Slices of fresh tuna on a salad with an awesome dressing. I'm describing poorly but it was fabulous. My coworker had the kale salad and raved about it. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. This meant the world since it was so crowded. Definitely hopping crowd. We tried to go the next night with other coworkers and couldn't get a table. Definitely worth a visit!!! But make sure to make a reservation!!

Amazing ambiance, great food, incredible service. Would go back in a heartbeat and will do before we go home. The manager even recognised us in Starbucks the following morning before she went to work. Loved the mix of food and how well they were organised.

We were looking for a spot that would work for people from Pasadena, Santa Monica and Hollywood. Plus we needed something that had keto, gluten free and vegetarian choices. Joey DTLA was the perfect choice! Everything was delicious and everyone was extremely satisfied with what they received. The portions are very good, and we were all pleasantly surprised with the quantity of the starters we ordered. Very creative drinks and also nice choices of wines by the glass. I especially have to thank our server Noelle who dealt with the more particular of our party with grace and humor. We all left very happy! One note...this is a fairly noisy restaurant. It worked great for us because our group of 6 was pretty loud! We were on the side with the bar, and there was a game on, so it made sense. There were more tables on the other side but I don't know if it was quieter over there. I imagine it would have been. The restaurant also does validate if you park in their lot which is the lot for the whole complex. It cost $10 with validation.

My girlfriends and I dined at Joey DTLA. Loved the ambience of the restaurant and the regentrification of downtown LA. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations but were able to do a walk-in. Wait time was 40 mins. We were offered a glass of champagne while we waited to be seated!!! We loved everything about our dining experience. Their menu is extensive. Prices were reasonable. Service/staff was excellent. We ordered the fried cauliflower as an appetizer which to my surprise was very tasty. Our entrees: salmon, crab cakes, shrimp w/ravioli, impossible burger w/fries, and slider. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. If you are ever in the LA downtown area, I suggest a visit to Joey DTLA.

Fantastic service , food and atmosphere . Loved the free champagne to start and every dish was as delicious!! Server was really friendly and gave fabulous recommendations ❤️

We got a last minute reservation when we told them our son was a UW Marching Band member and needed a good me before the Rose Bowl Parade. Our waiter was excellent and patient with us. Made recommendations and never made us feel hurried and that we were taking up a table. We enjoyed a nice family meal together and the food was fabulous. Would definitely eat here again!

My husband and I dined here for dinner and were very happy with our experience. We were 30 minutes late for our reservation because a prior activity ran longer than we expected. I left a message with the restaurant alerting them to our delay. When we arrived, they not only honored our reservation, they seated us within 15 minutes of arrival and gave us complimentary glasses of sparkling wine to sip while we waited. For dinner, we shared the vegetarian lettuce cup appetizer and then I ordered the tuna poke and my husband had the salmon. We each had a tasty cocktail. The food was healthful and delicious, the service was attentive, and the entire meal including tip and tax was just a little over $100. Considering the location, the ambience, and the quality of the food and drink, we thought our meal was very reasonably priced.

This restaurant was in walking distance of the Hilton Checkers hotel. I was there during happy hour, so took advantage of two dollars off a glass of wine. The wait staff was very friendly and prompt. Was seated on the outside patio which was lovely. Had the tuna and avocado roll (also a happy hour special) which was delicious and the butter chicken, also very tasty. Portion sizes were large. Would recommend and would return when in LA.

I have lived in Los Angeles (Hollywood) for about 18 months now and always heard how wonderful this Joey DTLA restaurant was! It’s normally so busy but on 5/11/24, they seemed to have tables available so I decided to have an early lunch. Oh my, my meal (crispy chicken sandwich and side house salad) was beyond amazing! Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. My server lady, Olivia, was so gracious and friendly. The atmosphere is modern and elegant as well! So to the chefs, I say you are so amazing! Wonderful food! To Olivia, thank you for your great care. I hope to return soon! Lisa Hoffman, Esquire

The food was really good. Upscale restaurant in downtown LOS ANGELES. I thought it was going to be kind of empty but it was crowded. The service was good not exceptional but adécuate. The menu is extensive and be ready to expend $$ or$$$. by yourself. I had a couple of drinks and that increases the amount of the bill plus the tip .. When you are ready to pay ; they come to your table with a tablet and you pay your bill right there.

Friends and I came here for lunch for her birthday! We ordered so many items to share and everything was better than the last. We ordered the tuna and avocado roll, seared salmon roll, sliders, truffle parm fries, Korean cauliflower I think that was it. Oh and the lava cake for birthday celebration which was delicious! We ordered drinks too and everything was amazing! There were no reservations available but we walked in and luckily didn’t wait too long. But I’ve heard the wait gets pretty long if you don’t have a reservation. Highly recommended!

I came here with a friend on 11/15/19 after a Laker game to grab a drink. The bartender told me he could not serve us if we were not sitting at the bar. Funny, the first time I came, I sat at the bar, and I was ignored by at least three bartenders for 15 minutes: Guess I can’t get a drink whether I sit at the bar or not. In all fairness, on my second visit after I was invited back by the manager was good. However, it was all a front. Joey has the worst customer service on thee planet. I am never coming here again!!!!!

If your in the Down Town LA area and your looking for an awesome restaurant to eat, you most definitely have to visit Joey DTLA. It's a special restaurant with just the right mix of everything. The food is incredible, service is impeccable and consistent, the staff and managers are very friendly and the ambiance is to die for. It's the kind of place I guarantee you will keep going back to. It's that special. My favorite dish is the Steak and Lobster Ravioli, my favorite drink is the Watermelon drink and my favorite wine is the Whatchamacallit. You can make a reservation online before you go (highly recommended) but you may still have a small wait to be seated. But that's ok because they will serve you a free champagne while you wait. You may even be lucky to be served a sampling of one or 2 appetizers also. The whole operation is a lean mean well oiled machine, which is incredible because they have only being open for less than a month. There is a secret to how they achieved this. You might find out if you visit.

We didn't book in advance. Walk down from our hotel. From the moment we walked in the service was excellent. Within a couple of sitting down, our waiter came and took our drinks order. After a few minutes she came back and took our food order. When our food came it was spot on . No complaints here . We were regularly asked if we wanted more drinks. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to great night out in a fabulous atmosphere.

Stopped for an early dinner on a Saturday night. I had no reservation so I sat at the bar. Service was good and attentive and the food was good but not great. Prices are OK. The place is loud and not your prime location for a quiet conversation.

Great meal before seeing a concert. A bit loud but then I am getting old. The appetizers and main dish were a hit. werebass ))waperfect

My wife and I have been in LA for 2 days and are having our second lunch at Joey. DTLA. The food is fantastic, the architecture is great and the staff are the best we have seen in a long time. If you’re in Downtown LA head for Joey DTLA. You will love it. Great food, great vibe and awesome staff, you know the place will be great when the staff are happy, knowledgeable and really friendly. Check out the kitchen, amazing

Nice restaurant down townLA . It is close tothe train station at 7th street. The food is good and great atmosphere .

This place is absolutely fantastic. Top quality food, great place and location and superb service. Massive shout out to Lisa who served us, she was amazing

As others have stated, it was impossible to get someone to call me back to make a reservation. Finally, someone in our party was able to get through. Food was fantastic. There were 9 of us and 3 had the chilaen sea bass and said it was exceptional. I had the salmon and it was wonderful. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were filthy. I used 3 different one's (they are all gender less) and all of them were filthy. Note to restaurant, if you are going to go with the gender less bathroom thing, you need to have someone cleaning those bathrooms every 30 minutes. I won't go back to a restaurant with filthy bathrooms.

My 2nd visit and again an excellent experience. Alia our waitress was a polite and attentive and the food was great. No surprise the place was packed at 6pm with well heeled customers. Prices reasonable. Again I had the steak and prawns with crsipy wrapped mashed potatoes. Delicious. Local San Marcos Pilsener beers. Dessert was an excellent chocolate lava cake with strawberries and ice cream. After 2 visits this is my favourite eating spot in DTLA. Great food, great ambience, great crowd, great service

We ate here for dinner one night, the food was great, the service good, drinks good as well. Nice location close to Sheraton Grand.

Had the New Cobb Salad today and it was amazing. Very tasty and the chicken was tender. The best part was the soft boiled egg. I love soft boiled eggs in Ramen, but this is a first in a salad. Even amidst COVID concerns, the restaurant was very clean and they were adhering to strict safety protocols, so I felt safe having lunch on their patio.

Spectacular food & great service. We took friends from France and they loooooved the place. They wished Joey had one in South of France. Served by Joe who was bang on the mark with service. Two of us had 20 ounce Ribeye steaks and they were amazing. Our guest said it was best piece of meat he has ever eaten.

Decided to take the Blue, now the A line, to Downtown LA from Long Beach with plans to have dinner at one French Bistro, which was changing ownership, we had passed Joey's DTLA and the vibe and food looked amazing and decided to come back to Joey DTLA for our evening. When entering we asked for a table for two and were immediately greeted with 2 glasses of champagne and immediately felt we were somewhere special. We were sat immediately 1/2 way between the inside and outdoor sections and our server was Ola. She was simply amazing and was one of the many highlights of the evening. We started with two starters, Parmesan Truffle Fries(Pome Frites) and two orders of the Sushi Hand rolls; both were amazing with our glasses of Sauvignon Blanc from NZ. The main course we chose the Yellow Fin Tuna Salad which you will see pictured, was beyond delicious and amazing. We brought a bottle of Relic-Sage Chardonnay which went so well with our main dish we still talk about that meal. We shared a 2 oz pour of our bottle with our server Ola who shared it with the floor manager and Assisstant General manager, who all came by to introduce themselves and ensure our evening was amazing. We finished the evening with dessert ala Italian Doughnuts and season Spiced doughnuts that were simply divine. If you have a desire to "experience" service, food and ambience way above par, from a team that makes it all seem effortless you have to come to Joey DTLA and try it for your self. You will not be disappointed, i promise you.

Upset with one point of the dining experience. First, let me say that the atmosphere, service, menu, and quality of food is all excellent. The price points are high(er) and this is not a place for cheap eats - probably consistent with many DTLA restaurants. Here's what I'm upset about. Our server asked if we wanted still or sparkling water - 3 said still, 1 (me) said sparkling. She said she would get waters for everyone, then get our drink orders. She bright a 1.5 L Perrier which I casually enjoyed throughout the meal. Shame on me for assuming that it was complimentary - imagine my surprise when I was charged $8.75 for that bottle. Hear me out - I've been to other restaurant's that offer complimentary still and sparking water. Upon arrival to Joey's, they offer complimentary champagne (we didn't any this night, but friends were offered it on a previous night, so I'm not sure what system they use - maybe if you wait over 15 minutes? who knows). And it's the WAY our server asked for our water orders...so given these factors, I erroneously assumed it was complimentary - but shame on her too for omitting that it costs when taking the "water" order before the "drink" order. Oh, and no where on the menu (that I saw - but someone fact check me) did it indicate that sparking water (for the water order) was fee based. Another point - do they only come in 1.5L? Why would you bring 1 person a 1.5L and then look at me crazy when I ask for a plastic cup to take the remainder of my water with me? Heck, I paid for it, so yes I'm going to enjoy it as I walk off this awesome meal! Last point, at $8.75, this was almost 50% of my food bill because I only ordered a burger (which was fabulous).

This restaurant was fantastic! I loved all of it starting with the hostesses. They were awesome and welcoming. Our server was Dustin and he rocked. This guy was confident and capable, nice personality. The food, omg, the food. It was the best meal we ate in Los Angeles during this trip. I plan to go to JOEY every time I'm there from now on. Excellent dining experience. Hopefully this restaurant maintains this level of perfection.

Was staying at the Athletics Club a couple of blocks from here and booked a table on line as was busy and has a nice open patio when we had been past. Arrived on time for reservation but had to wait about 20 mins for table but had a booth which was nice. Everyone waiting was offered a glass of bubbles whilst they waited. Food was good. Had a problem with our starter - the chicken wings were cold, but the manager took care of this on the bill. Mains were lovely - we had the salmon and mash and fresh tuna salad. Would recommend. Server was friendly.

Super modern fun downtown restaurant. Across from the subway. Great lunch spot, happy hour, or dinner. The inside is hip and contemporary. There is a large wrap around patio. The menu has seafood, steaks, and fusion. Everything being served looked amazing. This place recently opened and is always busy. Check it out.

This was so good! Went there for lunch, and waited just a few minutes to get a table outside. Very friendly employees indeed. Was recommended a lunch plate, and I must say, it was terrific. Very tasteful and well worth the money. Tap water was for free. A very friendly young woman, waitress, asked if she could suggest places to visit in LA. She wrote down places and addresses on a serviette to me and explained with a smile. This was a fantastic experience. Thank you!

We were tired after a long day on Venice Beach and headed here because it was close to our downtown hotel - an absolute must with a moody teenager! What an absolute gem! Greeted with a glass of fizz, we were sat at a booth within 4 minutes, right next to the glass fronted kitchen. Our waitress was fantastic - so friendly and helpful. The menu was extensive with fish, vegan and gluten free options. We opted for the sushi cones and Korean cauliflower as appetizers- sooo delicious. Mains tried included butter chicken curry, spaghetti pomodoro and lobster ravioli - nothing disappointed. This place is a chain, started in Canada, but it doesnt feel like that. Really good, cool vibes, delicious food and friendly staff. Faultless. The only downside was that we didnt have room for dessert. Recommend for couples, friends and family. A really good find in a city with so many foody options. We loved it. Go!

what a great evening! Risa was amazing and the manager Kinnedra was so kind. Service came with a smile and ton of recommendations that were on point.<3

We were looking for a place in DTLA for a relatively late dinner on a Sunday night. The wait for a table was short (tip: the online reservation feature does not work for same day reservations, so call), and the service was excellent. We had a variety of meals including steak, seafood and pasta and everything came out hot and delicious. The atmosphere was lovely, but not too loud. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Very cool spot with great atmosphere! We didn’t have a reservation but walked in on a weekday night around 7:00 and only waited about 5 minutes. We even had free champagne while waiting! Really, you can’t beat that. It’s genius, almost like “buying” positive reviews, but they don’t need to buy them because the food really is that good! I had the steak and sushi. The steak is sliced and in a very tasty ponzu sauce with sushi on the side… delicious, zero complaints. My friend had the Joey steak which she said was perfect and the crispy mashed potatoes are very clever…. Mashed potatoes wrapped in a spring roll wrapper and fried. I wish we had come back another night because not all of our restaurant choices were as good, and I wanted to try other menu items!

Have dined multiple times both at the Woodland Hills location as well as DTLA and both have been a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere inside with a cool trendy type vibe. Highly recommend making reservations beforehand as it can get pretty busy (especially for groups). They have a great menu and something for everyone. Its a bit of a fusion type theme, however, some of the personal standout items are the Korean Cauiflower, Yellowtail Salad, & Mediterranean Bowl. They did used to have a Butter Chicken dish which was outstanding, however, the DTLA location pulled it from the menu recently. The Butter Cake & Molten Lava Cake are a couple of standout desserts, however, if youre in a rush you might want to put that order in sooner due to the time it takes to make. So worth the wait though! If you park in The Bloc Garage they will validate your ticket so instead of $44 fee you're looking at just $3! Side note: DTLA location is boarded up at the moment which is a shame, however, hopefully that wont be for much longer.

The location is great, the service even better (our waiter was perfect!!) However I didn't like to wait for our table since we had a reservation and the prices were a little too high. The food was good though Definitely worth it

Great Food, I’ve ended up going here about 4 times for dinner and once for a quick drink because I love a Mezcal drink they make there. The wait staff is wonderful. I was embarrassed once when some of my guests complained about being seated, though the manager dealt with it very well and came to the table to address us. While the food is excellent, the seating and reservation system is not up to par. We made several attempts to make reservations and were unable to, either by phone or internet. This is even after the GM gave us a card with a number to call for reservations. Again, the food, atmosphere and drinks are great so I’m going to give this 5 stars just with the warning that you will have at least a 30 minute wait which is common for downtown, but I’d prefer the ability to make reservations if there is a number/website.

Really nice. Not quiet, but not too loud. The presentation is pretty, the food quite good. Prices reasonable, service attentive. Varied menu— something for everyone. Would come again.

We had a great lunch at Joey with friends. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern and sets a good vibe. The meal starts with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine which is a nice touch. We had the sushi, dumplings, sliders, poke bowl and chicken club sandwich. All meals were delicious and a good portion size. A perfect restaurant option in downtown LA.

A friend recommended we go to Joey DTLA for dinner while in LA. We were definitely not disappointed. Complimentary glass of fizz to start, friendly staff and great food. Would definitely pass on the recommendation

We stumbled upon Joeys as soon as we arrived in LA....what a wonderful new restaurant....it is absolutely beautiful inside. We were offered a glass of bubbly on arrival, then shown to our table by Jamie, she was so welcoming and lovely, we had a chat and then greeted by Isabel, what an asset to your restaurant!!! She asked for our names, which my daughters is Kristina Isabel, helped us with our choices, which were perfect . We will be back before we leave LA , to go back home to Perth Western Australia

We had a really good New Year’s Eve dinner. We were seated quickly with a glass of sparkling wine in hand. “Outside” is an enclosed balcony/terrace with really effective infra red heat and a nice view of the street activity outside. The service was excellent. The food and drinks were very good.

Gréât downtown spot for drinks and dinner. Lively local vibe good international cuisine. We had humus and chips at the bar but there is way more variety . Gréât service. Beautiful restaurant with patio dining as well. Right next to the mall.

Great dining experience! This a great place to meet for a business meal, a romantic brunch, or getting together with friends after work. A lively vibe. Food is excellent. Menu has something for every taste. And the service is superb! Highly recommend the sushi tacos and the New Cobb Salad!! This place rocks!!!

While staff were friendly and appropriately chatty, the food was not quite up to that level. And they forgot the cutlery. Presentation was pretty.

I been to JOEY restaurants in Vancouver too. They are always consistent and have great food and service. It was nice to see one while visiting LA last week. The downtown LA vibe is pretty upbeat. This is a great place for people watching. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good time while visiting the heart of LA

Please don’t ruin your evening going to this Restaurant! The food is horrible! The service is worse! I was so excited to take my friends to Joey DTLA. The Manhattan Beach location was booked so we went to downtown LA. What a horrible mistake that was. Nearly An hour drive only to be met with The worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in LA. I’ve added Pictures. We ordered the filet mignon With raviolis. Look at the picture please it look like ground chuck thrown on my plate. At nearly $70 I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. Yes that’s chicken in that red sauce. They were pieces of square chicken that you would expect to find in a frozen bag of chicken thrown in the sauce. The restaurant was fairly empty. Our section had at least three tables unoccupied and yet we couldn’t get the waitress to come over to give us silverware or water throughout the meal. We had to reach out to her as she would go by while doing some cleaning and some other area. We ordered dessert. Thought maybe we could end on a good note. Ordered a piece of pie with ice cream and a crème brûlée Nearly 35 or 40 minutes later still no dessert. We asked to cancel and to give us a check. The only silver lining was the fact that they have a hostess there that is the kindest individual we have come across. She was so apologetic, and you can tell that she was embarrassed at the poor service. Such a kind person. She offered us a gift card for $30. We left it on the table as we will never go back to this restaurant. She took the dessert off of our bill. We didn’t ask for it. I would’ve paid for it gladly. Was not looking for a handout. I just wanted a decent meal! We are not the kind that is looking for a free meal. I still left a $40 tip on the table on a $259 bill for absolute horrible service and horrible food! At the end, our waitress didn’t even have the decency after hearing how bad the service was to bring us our bill. I had to get up and just walk over to the desk and pay the bill. There are so many better restaurants in LA and in Manhattan Beach…. Please don’t ruin your evening, steer clear of this restaurant!!

There is a bit of a Wait time and they not let me make a reservation but just asked me to walk in and wait. that was a bit disappointing. It was a 45 minute wait but there were all other people waiting as well so tells a lot about the food. The food was good and our server Gefforry was very friendly and helped us pick the best on the menu.

Service is impeccable and stunning; you are whisked to a table and can watch LA's socialites in action as they gather round the bar in front of you and parade past the tables as the food and drink appears in minutes. Black and gold seem to be the colours of the day used in the partially-lit décor, creating an atmosphere of excitement and expectancy.

Portion size was very large. Good food. Very lively atmosphere! Fun place with friends. Hummus was great. Would recommend.

Had an amazing dinner in this new place at Macy's plaza. The varied food selection pleased everyone in my party and our server Jamie rocked it. Her recommendations did not disappoint and she made our dining a pleasure. The drink selection was good. Had apps: goyza, sushi cones and cakamari ...all great. Dinner had the chicken parm, butter chicken, tuna chopped salad and steak...all came out terrific. Jamie certainly made out dining experience fun and memorable... definitely returning!

onestly one of the best dinners I've had in a while, and not just because Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were sitting a table away from me.

Stopped by for lunch while shopping at the bloc. Complimentary sparkling wine upon arrival. No reservations but we were seated in 2 minutes. Waiter had recommendations for each menu section. Ordered the tuna poke bowl. The ingredients are so fresh and so filling. The ambiance is fabulous, overall a great place to dine.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Their staff and food are top notch. I was in charge of coordinating a large team dinner for an event my company was attending, and I am SO GLAD I choose to do it here! From my very first inquiry, Isabel the GS Manager was very fast to respond and really helpful. She suggested a family style meal with various appetizers and entrees and it was perfect! When we arrived we were greeted warmly and shown back to our section of the restaurant even though we were early. Amber who was the manager that day reviewed the menu with me and very graciously made some updates for dietary restrictions and added more items. Our server was Reem and she was AMAZING! She was so sweet and did her job effortlessly. She was also supported by Nikki and Kiana who were equally awesome!! They even helped add a special dessert for our VP who was celebrating 21 years with the company - very much appreciated! My coworkers were blown away by the quality of the food, the amazing service and just how much fun we all had. THANK YOU so much for making this event memorable, I will forever recommend Joey's to anyone visiting LA.
A great place in DT LA
We stop by casualty, and it was a great great surprise. The food was really good, the service good and the environment, excellent. A very LA local place, very recomended.
