We went to Joey with a group of friends. I was disappointed with the quality of the food and poor quality of the service. I ordered a hamburger ($16.50-wow!) medium rare. It came out well done. When I pointed this out to our waitress, she said that she would talk to the kitchen, and that's the last we saw of her. A manager came around inquiring how we liked our food. I explained the situation to her and she offered to replace the hamburger---but so much time had past that everyone else at our table was almost finished, so I passed on her offer. Our waitress returned to tell me that they were offering to comp a dessert. No one wanted dessert, so we declined. Even though we were still eating, she brought the check. Fortunately, they took the hamburger off the bill. The quality of food leaves much to be desired, especially at the high prices they charge. The waitstaff, or our waitress in particular, needs to be retrained. This restaurant is definitely not worth the money. We will not be back.

Prices in LA are high but there are some places where the outlay is worth it! We were a group of 6 without a reservation and we were seated quickly on a Thursday night at 6. The drinks were tasty and the food was great with good sized portions. They go out of their way to accommodate allergies (our party had someone with severe allergy). The only hard part was conversation over the loud background music. I would come again

The staffs apology was half heart and the offered to comp 2 $40 bottles of wine for a bill over $6000. Total lack of professionalism. This was a set menu, planned event, so its not like they didn't expect us!

Modern decor and good service. Classic American dining. Protein burger is great and farmers chicken salad is great. They don't have a kids menu but have kid friendly food

I had been looking forward to dining here after a recommendation but was completely underwhelmed by the poor service and quality of the food. I had to wait an hour to be served a drink after reminding the wait staff of my order twice. When my meal was eventually brought out it was cold and mediocre at best. The others at my table were also disappointed in their meals and overall experience of the evening. We won’t be returning.

We stopped in here on New Years Eve and they were able to squeeze us into the bar. We both had great meals, tasty cocktails, and very much enjoyed the servers/bartenders. Joey does a unique job of staffing their restaurants no matter what part of the country you're in and this one was up to the Joey standard for sure.

I should have realized that I was in for a disappointing experience when my server described the cuisine as an American take on international cuisine - Korean deep fried cauliflower, Indian Butter chicken, and a traditional hamburger. I figured that the latter would be a good bet especially when topped by bacon and cheese. I was brought a tower consisting of a bun, lettuce, tomato, pickles etc. hiding an overcooked, luke-warm, thin and tasteless patty. I told the waitress after a small bite or two to ask the kitchen to try again and this time med-rare. What followed was a half-raw, half-cooked, i.e.,, cold burger that seemed like it came directly from the freezer or refrigerator. Any number of fast food places or your local diner does better.

Nice spot to grab a bite while at Westfield Village. It is not particularly kid friendly. The ambiance just appears very upscale. Has indoor and outdoor seating.

Food and ambiance was spectacular. Service was great. Only thing I would say was at the end, our waiter dissappear once he got his tip and we asked for a to-go box...it took about 10min or so before we ended up requesting it from another waiter and she came back within seconds. I will definitely be going back.

We had the salmon rice bowl (I substituted chicken) that was absolutely fresh and had fantastic flavors. The blend of sweet and savory asian sauce made this a tremendous dish that had the perfect ratio of veggie and rice to protein. Plating was also beautiful and the restaurant had a really cool industrial motif, will definitely return!

We went to Joey for work to celebrate the birthdays this month at work. The food was great and the desserts were rich creamy goodness. The Japanese salad and sushi hit the spot

On a recent business trip to the LA area, we ate at Joey Woodland Hills. Both were great experiences. They have an extensive wine by glass list. Dinner was excellent as well. I had the signature rotisserie chicken on the first visit and ravioli with lobster cream and grilled prawns. Both were extraordinary. On one visit, we had a rather difficult diner with us and the server handled the situation with fantastic grace. I highly recommend Joey Woodland Hills.

Really great food. Exceptional service. A great bar. If you don't go here and you eat in the village you're making a mistake. I had a curry it was spectacular. My wife had the rotisserie chicken which was excellent

Blueberry Mojito ($13.25) is back for the summer! It is made with blueberry vodka, fresh blueberries, lime juice, organic cane syrup, and mint. This beautifully stunning libation has hues of purple, blue and green. The taste is refreshing and but is not too strong. It is an excellent drink for summer. Rating: 4.5/5 Grilled Spanish Octopus ($14.50) is citrus glazed and served with sun-dried olives atop a fennel and grapefruit salad. The octopus has a smoky flavor and tender texture. The vegetables contribute a crispy, refreshing texture. It has a very spring/summer feel to it. But the octopus portion is a little small for the price. Rating: 4/5 Duck Poutine ($13.50) is duck confit, peppercorn gravy, and cheese curds atop thick-cut fries. This is a poutine you might find in a Canadian poutinerie. The thick gravy lovingly clings to the fries with ease. The big gooey cheese curds are creamy and salty. The duck confit is rich and a little crispy like carnitas. Rating: 4.8/5 The Butcher’s Sandwich ($18) is made with shaved slow-roasted beef, smoky au jus, crispy onions, Dijon, and rosemary salt. The sliced roasted beef is beefy and tender as can be. The beefy flavor works well with the Dijon mustard. The baguette holds up well to the juices of from the beef and even when dipping in the au jus. The au jus is beefy and adds a richness to the sandwich. The fries are crispy like potato sticks, like French fries meets kettle chips. Rating: 4.8/5 Rotisserie Bistro Plate ($19.50) is made with their signature chicken that is brined for 24 hours for maximum moisture and then spit-roasted hourly to perfection. The seasoning on the chicken is amazing with savory and herbaceous notes! The chicken is tender and juicy. The gravy is fantastic with a rich chicken flavor – great for dipping the chicken and fries in. The cole slaw is creamy like something you would have on a picnic. Rating: 4.5/5 Spun Daily Double Chocolate Ice Cream ($6) has a deep rich chocolate flavor. It has a dark chocolate liqueur quality about it. It has a luxurious texture and I would not be surprised if they used a high quality cacao for the intense flavor. Rating: 4.8/5 Spun Daily Salted Caramel Ice Cream ($6) has more of a caramel flavor. It is just slightly salted. It tastes like a custard or crème brulee in ice cream form. Maybe a light sprinkle of salt flakes would push it more to the salted caramel realm. Rating: 4.5/5

This is a fun place for a nice dinner. The food was excellent. We had a steak and shrimp dish which was cooked perfectly. We also had the pork dumplings and the steak and lobster ravioli and they were both great.....! The service was efficient and attentive but did have a generic feel to it.

We have been to Joeys many times & the food is usually good & tonight was no exception. Tonight's visit was different because of the exceptional loud music, volume was very loud where my wife & I could not converse. We asked the waiter to try & have it lowered & he returned saying the manager would be by. The manager came by & said she would not lower it & was arrogant about it. Will not return.

Enjoyed my first time at Joey's recently and had a wonderful and relaxing lunch with friends. Lots of free parking, and the venue is large and open so that gets are not seated at tables in close proximity. Very casual, yet smart ambiance and overall a quiet place. Very expansive menu, including cocktails and wine. They served us complimentary champagne which was quite nice. Several of us chose the Chicken Parmesan which was delicious and quite filling. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. My friends also enjoyed their entrees and martinis! Prices are very fair and overall a truly delightful time. Will be back!

Not what it used to be. Asked to have the heater turned on as it was super cold. Was told heater above our table is broken. I asked to be moved to another table as there were several empty tables, I was told all other tables are reserved and this is while they don't take reservations. They just don't care to accommodate. And why would you have the Patio open if your heaters are broken anyways? Food was very marginal. Found a hair in the salad

I’ve had great service here almost every time so they get an A- on that level. The food here is delicious with plenty of menu options for everyone to feel satisfied. I really enjoy their options of salads as they’ve been consistently fresh and tasty. The setting itself is pretty, both inside and out . Make sure to make a reservation and allow time to wait for your table as it can get to be a scene with a large crowd present.

I come to this area a few times a year for work and this was the first time I have ever stopped in. It won't be the last. Welcome champagne is a beautiful treat, but I opted for an old fashioned at the bar while our table was prepared. It was perfect. We started with cauliflower and also wings as appetizers. Both were outstanding...but if you have to choose...go cauliflower! I went with the steak and frites, even after being warned by the waiter that the portion of beef would be rather small. It was delicious, especially after going wild with appetizers. Atmosphere and wine selections were excellent and the night was a hit. Thanks Joey!

Was here for dinner on two different occasions. The menu choices are very unusual and not your normal listings. Everyone we went with were very impressed and liked the food. Appetizers were ordered and after eating those, we were all pretty much filled up. It is a large restaurant with an open kitchen behind glass which is fun to stop and watch prep work on the way to or back from the bathroom. I think reservations are needed as this and other restaurants in "the Village" in Woodland Hills are busy all the time. Booths were comfy and service was good.

This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is delicious and the staff is nice and helpful. I enjoy the "vibe" here as it has a little bit of everything. Great for couples, singles, family's and even if you had to dine alone. Every time I eat here, I'm more impressed.

The room was nice. The furnishings were well done, the food was OK and it was crowded, But nothing about it was outstanding and I don't think the crowd was there as much about the food as it was about them being seen or having been talked about being in a place that was so "Hip or "In".

Came here for my dad's birthday. Both my dad and my brother had the steak and they loved it very much! I had the salmon bowl and it's really good as usual. Our server Zack was exceptionally friendly and went out of his way to look for a candle for my dad's dessert. Really enjoyed our time here! We will be back :)

Some of the foods was great (buffalo cauliflower) but most was pretty average/missing something/not quite right. Such as the fish tacos. I wasn't impressed, nor disappointed. Just ok. The service was also so-so/inconsistent

Our small school was going out to celebrate the end of the 2016/Christmas lunch. We had made reservations 2 plus weeks in advance. You can imagine our surprise when we were seated at two tables not one. We are a party of 10 but each side by side table could not accommodate the entire group; there was space of a foot between the tables. Evidently the tables are bolted down. They obviously do not want a large group to inhabit their establishment. The sun was streaming into the eyes of the teachers facing south, they did not have a filter shade. We asked to talk to the manager, he apologized and there are no tables that accommodate 10. He said that the hostess who took the reservation should have told us. (They did not.) The waiter had said that there was an outside table but it was damaged because of the rain we had the night before. We checked to see if there was another restaurant we could go into the area and there was. We left Joey's abruptly. The management could have salvaged our trip by perhaps comping wine or dessert. But no such offer prevailed. i will not personally go back even with a small party.

Great atmosphere😊 we would go back.. We enjoyed sitting outside and having a drink and some appetizers.. Service was great and we loved the place😊 nice place to meet friends and family 😊

Joey is located in a shopping mall full of dining options. I am happy we picked Joey. It is not cheap but the salad and sandwich options are really. great. The veggie burger made with brown rice and almonds, topped with fresh arugula is unbelievably tasty.

Not impressed with the service at JOEY. The food was ok but very pricey. The drinking water tasted like it was straight from a water fountain. I've been there twice in the past month and it will be awhile until I go again.

Was in the mall and came here. Why? All the other places were very crowded. This was not. Went to the bar. Service was good, but we were one of the only ones there. Servers were nice, not fake but they didn't go out of their way for you. Prices were a bit high for stopping in at happy hour. Place was set up nice. Very cool, clean and hip. You can watch the kitchen as they have windows all along the wall. Neat. Still not overly impressed.

JOEY is a solid place for good food and drink. There are some unique items on the menu, like the Night Market Curry Dip, and the Paella is great. The drinks are a little pricey and the service can be slow outside, but overall it’s a good choice for a nice meal without being over the top.

Had a late lunch -2PM- with a friend. The restaurant was quiet and we got a booth. We both had the salmon bowl, which was delicious and plenty more f food....but a little pricey. Ive heard so much about this s place...that red once before to have dinner there with my husband but it was too crowded. The patio furniture was incredibly cheap and very uncomfortable. For the prices on the menu, I expected more. But lunch without the crowds in a booth was much nicer. I would recommend going during slower periods. Parking is an issue - be prepared to pay for it. But I would go back under the right circumstances.

I spend a lot of time on the road. If in the LA area, I recommend Joey in Woodland Hills. It one of the finest restaurants in Southern California. The vibe is very hip although saw a lot of happy families. Upon arrival, I was welcomed at the door with a smile and complementary glass of champagne! How cool is that?! Thank you, Ariel! You're the best!!! Since I was solo I decided to just order at the bar. The waitress/bartender was Tiara. Though busy, she greeted me with a smile, asked what I'd like to drink, and if I needed a menu. Very friendly and professional, it felt good to be there. I ordered the Salmon and it was delicious. Topped it off with the Creme Brulée Cheesecake. Excellent! A great place to eat and people watch. Service is exemplary. Try it out, you'll be glad you did.

We really enjoyed our meal at Joey! The ambiance & vibe are relaxed and very cool. Great open architecture! The service was top-notch and food Fantastic!!! Good cocktails as well. Look forward to going back!!! Recommended!!!

Admittedly, the west end of the San Fernando valley tends to be a desert for good food. In the recently open Village at Topanga, we went to JOEY. While the menu is not huge, it was intriguing enough to find other items I would be interested in trying. We were there on a Sunday afternoon around 3, it was not overly busy, but not empty either. I had the paella which was good-perhaps a touch oily. The salmon ceaser was also good. Portions were decent, not too much and not too small. Service was attentive and friendly.

new trendy restaurant. attentive staff. was given a $10 coupon by the restaurant while we were walking in the village, trying to decide which restaurant to eat at. We had a booth (elevate) and had a nice overview of the place. we got served quickly. food was great. their fireplace eating in the patio is awesome!

Had a 630pm reservation. Arrived promptly. When we checked in, there was no record of our reservation. I was told we would need to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Thank goodness, I kept an email record of my confirmation and was able to show it. I assertively said that I had a reservation and would not wait. Explained we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and this was unacceptable. We were promptly seated after my complaint. Service poor, food average, but expensive. Few choices for a vegetarian. You would think they would offer my husband a free dessert for his birthday, offer a complimentary something after there error. Nope. Never again.

Lovely food, and even better atmosphere! My family was here celebrating my husband's 50th birthday, and we couldn't have had a better time! Huge thanks to the waitstaff and to the lovely hostess Zoe at the door- she is amazing and was able to seat us right away! Will definitely be back!

We were able to get a reservation for Mother's Day. We had a great table for 4. The service was really good however, there were so many people helping out it was hard to keep track of them, but in a good way. Our server was very versed in the menu and since it was our first time, we definitely grilled him. All of his suggestions were spot on. We had the duck appetizer, which was a very generous portion and definitely was enough to share for four. Highly recommend it. Their specialty is the Chef's Rotisserie Chicken, a perfect choice. And although I rarely order the sirloin cut steak, it was a great choice, especially for the price. It was a very fun and festive night and a perfect way to celebrate Mother's Day! They also have outdoor seating with heat lamps, which lends itself to a more casual atmosphere and is perfect for drinks and appetizers. Check out Joey's of Woodland Hills, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Lovely to look at. Camille our server is fantastic. Glasses could be cleaner. Food is really good. Savanna corrected the wine glass issue with grace. Great staff.

It’s clearly a very popular restaurant. It was busy and quite noisy but the staff are very friendly and the food was great. Around our table we had the beef sandwich (huge) the salmon and burgers. Everybody enjoyed what they had. Would definitely return.

🚨 ATTENTION 🚨 This evening I experienced a shocking and completely unjust situation at Joey’s Woodland Hills, and it's important to share my story to raise awareness. 🕡 6:30 PM: We arrived at the restaurant with a reservation, accompanied by my service dog and my partner. Security personnel, Scott, noticed my dog barking to assist me with my medical condition. I felt we were questioned due to be a gay couple with a dog. That’s when everything started. 😤 Scott then proceeded to ask invasive questions and even requested proof that my miniature schnauzer was a service dog, which goes against California law. Also, he wanted to know my medical issues to require a service dog. 😡 After a distressing confrontation, I told him he was going against the law, he went inside and after 2 to 3 minutes came back stating that we were allowed to stay, but the damage was done and we did not want to stay. Before I left, I had to speak to the manager, Mr. Malachi Stickler, who apologized and assured us we were welcome. Nothing else, only apologies for the misunderstanding. 👉🏼 I want to clarify that according to the ADA, service animals are defined as dogs trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities. There is no requirement to provide details of my medical issue or documentation for my dog. 🔍 This situation has left me feeling frustrated and embarrassed, especially since I've visited Joey’s with my service dog before without any issues. 📃 I showed Mr. Stickler my dog's documentation and my doctor’s letter to address their disbelief. The whole experience adversely affected my medical condition, and I will be exploring my options due to all I had to go thru. 👎🏼 I am deeply disappointed by the treatment I received at Joey’s Woodland Hills , and I hope to see more awareness and sensitivity towards individuals with service animals in public spaces

The mean I had at Joey's was the best I have had in a very long time. Although we had a reservation they were running slightly behind. While we patiently waited we were delighted to try the freely offered lobster stuffed ravioli in cream sauce, pieces of yummy steak cooked to perfection, and champagne. Once seated, we ordered Korean BBQ Cauliflower and the Power Salad. The cauliflower was amazing. The texture was almost like shrimp and the sauce had a kick but was perfectly flavored and not overpowering. The salad was light, tasty, and healthy. It was a nice addition for the table to share before our main course. The rest of my party had steak with the potato crepe. They all said it was yummy but they all looked a little jealous of my steak and sushi plates. The sushi was basic but fresh and good but the steak was divine. Thinly sliced and sitting a bowl of the tastiest sauce ever. It had pieces of garlic and herbs floating around in a soy based au jus. So incredibly yummy. I will get it again and again. I cannot say enough about how good the food was. Our server was fun, well trained, and responsive to our needs - including helping us navigate around dietary restrictions.

Terrible place, do not go. This place used to be an awesome restaurant but the last 3 times that we went there we received zero service or service with attitude from the girls working there. We had 6 different servers coming to or table in a span of 15 minutes and took different orders and guess what? they screwed up our orders big time, the meals came first which were wrong then we had the appetizers coming & when I complained about the drinks then we got the drinks! The waitress who screwed up our food was running around with a blanket the rest of the day which was strangest thing to see for a restaurant worker in a high end place & she never showed up at our table to apologize. I hold management 100% responsible for this, this restaurant is in chaos as a result of bad bad management, they have ruined this restaurant. Oh & the next time that we went there which was absolutely our last time, they had the drinks coming first, the meals second & the appetizers the last...LOL I would suggest to spend you money else where as this place is not only expensive but will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. I hope that the people in the head office see this and all other bad reviews and immediately change the management team on this location because we loved going there. GET THE MANAGER OUT OF THERE FROM TOP TO SHIFT MANAGERS, REPLACE THEM ALL.

Very popular and busy restaurant inside a lovely outdoor mall. We had a bit of wait for a late dinner but it was worth it. The food was fantastic with a call out to the crispy mashed potatoes our server recommended. I'll be back.

horrible service, food quality and portion for the cost, far better other choices near by. this was a waste of time and money. We has an early dinner reservation and we ended up waiting 30 minutes to be seated on wet table missing dinnerware/utensils and paper napkins. Food was so so and tiny portions, it is overly sneaky priced.

I've been here three times and may not go back any time soon. I want to like this place more, but struggle doing so. Overall, the food is pretty good. Service is not bad given how large and busy this place is. However, I always feel like I did not get value for the money spent. The menu has items that are either over priced ($18.50 for spaghetti and tomato sauce in the Valley!, $16 for a veggie burger!) or the portions are very small (steak frites, it was maybe 3-4 ounces of meat, however it was cooked as ordered and tasty). They need to learn to balance the portions and prices of their menu. I'd rather they raise the price a few bucks on an item like the steak frites and service a meal (rather than appetizer) sized portion, instead of one where I'm still hungry when I'm done. They need to price something like the spaghetti at a reasonable price, even if it does have "whipped ricotta".

It only took one time to know that this truly a 5-star establishment... I'd even give it seven stars if I could... From the moment we stepped in until we made our way out the door we were surrounded by impeccable service from literally every member of the crew. It's a breath of fresh of air to finally see a place like this exist in the Valley, much less Los Angeles (do we even deserve this?!). The food was incredible, I highly recommend any one of their Rotisserie chicken dishes as the taste and texture took me to some other place. The wine selection was amazing and the cocktails we enjoyed were filled to the brim of the glass and perfectly mixed. We also loved the deserts here which are made to order and sinfully concocted. To top it all off, the prices on both food and drink are the most competitive around for the value received. This must be what Canadian hospitality feels like! The ambience and vibe here are something else; Trendy, intimate and classy with the right music played at the right level. I can't wait to come back again soon and experience more.

Had dinner at Joey in Woodland Hills Great food, brilliant atmosphere and the service is first class! Would definitely recommend this place. Calamari starter a must and the grilled chicken burger is worthy of a Five star review alone.

Friend suggested we go to Joey on Topanga Canyon for lunch. I had the best fish tacos of my life, I am sorry that we don't have a place closer to where I live. Also, had an excellent Cobb salad.

My first time visiting and I must say it was nice. We had late dinner reservations but Valet was closed by 9pm so we had to park. When we got into the restaurant and were waiting for our table they offered us champagne. Which was really nice. First experience with being served champagne while waiting. We were seated within 5-6 minutes and had a large booth that was by the open kitchen. Our server was name Dante and he was so friendly, inviting and just really cool. He brought us water and gave us time to look over the menu. We ordered our drinks and appetizers and Dante gave thumbs up on the sweet and spicy fried cauliflower and chicken wings and my spicy passion fruit margarita with a salt and pepper rim! Yum. We ordered crab cakes and Chilean Sea bass which was cooked perfectly. The food was really fresh and cooked well. Great flavor and served warm. Then we got the apple pie….pause for a moment of reflection. This was not your traditional apple pie. It was more like a tart but upgraded to luxe status. It was hot, drizzled in caramel and topped with ice cream. That was life!!!! This is a definite must stop and try. Make a reservation and ask for Dante. He is off Sundays but check him out. He will do you right.

I usually come in after lunch and before dinner. This way I can get a true experience of the restaurant when it's not packed, I feel you get the true value of what the place really is

We just stoped in for a drink before dinner at nearby sushi place. Awesome people watching, crazy beautiful staff. Great wine, sprits, beer selection. Menu looked good - but just drinking. Cool atmosphere.

Lots of good vibe with a noisy busy outdoor dining scene prompted us to choose this spot over the many competing options at the Village mall. Not so speedy service, which was fine, but just saying...menu was all over the place, hard to figure out what to have...wound up sharing the Korean cauliflower, which was fried, but good and tasty and not oily just flavorful and crisp...good start; then had fish tacos, which were OK but nothing crazy here on the flavor profile...despite the crowd and the vibe, just didn't see the delivery happening...nice spot...maybe another time check it out.

Laid back, comfy and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a family lunch. Our waitress Nicole was awesome taking good care of us. Jacob dropped by our table to say hi to my son (nice PR there). We enjoyed the Hibachi wings as well as the sushi rolls. My son had the rotisserie chicken w/c was juicy and tender, I had the poke bowl w/c was light but bursting w/ flavor and my husband had the steak frite he really liked. Thank you and see you guys later.

Another fantastic meal with great service we really enjoy this place it's got a nice vibe really good food and an excellent bar and the servers are very attentive

A buzzing atmosphere from the second you enter. Good attentive service and an exciting menu. The steak and ravioli were particularly good.

Located within The Village at Topanga Plaza, Joey Woodland Hills is a massive restaurant with a large outdoor seating area. The menu has an excellent and wide variety of dishes and represents a variety of ethnic influences to satisfy any taste. Upscale, contemporary and chic.

Cool place for a cocktail with a large indoor bar plus a big patio. Chicken wings, dry rubbed, were flavorful. Cauliflower app is a must try. Molten cake very good but house made donuts possibly better. Interesting drinks. Good service.

Nice place to grab a drink or have a meal inside or out! The menu is quite varied and they accommodate so many special diets. My favorite is the fresh tuna salad - so delicious. The servers here are all so good looking as well one would think this place is in the middle of West Hollywood.

This was one of the worse experiences we’ve ever had. It took 15 minutes for waitress to greet us after asking three other servers to identify who had our table. Half way thru an alarm and strobe light about an emergency in building instructed us to exit. No one moved and we were told it happens often. Waitress arrived, apologized that she didn’t know it was her station. She took our order. Drinks arrived 10 minutes later. Food arrived 20 minutes after that, 45 minutes after sitting down. A side salad came as a large entree salad, sliders were overcooked from sitting under lamp, crab cake cold. Manager tried to make things right but couldn’t say, I’m sorry. Just, “this isn’t our normal way of doing business.” Then argued when I said we didn’t want to come back, never, ever, again!

I have mixed fillings... four of us visited for the first time, two from out of town. The food was very good, I each of us was happy and cleaned our plates. We shared dessert and it was excellent; Butter Cake, my first time having it, and Brulee Cheesecake - yummy! Our house wines were very good as was the Old Fashion and the Watermelon drink. I do think prices in general were high, this is after all a "franchise". My biggest disappointment was the service... mixed with both good and bad. In particular, when the first rounds of drinks were served staff stood in one spot and handed out the drinks from there, we were at a round table!!? It was like we had to raise our hands to get the drink passed to us - very bad. Our waiter was nice and pleasant but would disappear at times; sometimes someone else would show up - maybe not enough staffing? Finally, the music was was too loud indoors for a comfortable conversation! However, because we alI enjoyed the food, I would consider giving Joey another try.

Arranged to meet friends here for dinner. Restaurant was very busy but we were shown to our table quickly and the drinks arrived soon after. We decided to go straight to the entree’s and here the problem arose. The order was taken quickly enough but when the food started to arrive the waiter had no idea what he was bringing out! Two dishes were identical but one was medium rare and one well done 😫, sadly he couldn’t tell which was which!!! Then we had to ask for steak knives, oh and sugar for the coffees, oh and spoons to stir the coffees! 😂 Having said that, the food was amazing and I’m sure we will go again. Hopefully the staff will have got the hang of it by then.

Amazing food and service. Our server Chase, who was just amazing. She recommended the Mediterranean Bowl. It’s my new favorite thing. Ty Chase!

We went for a family birthday. Big party of 15. Joey is not set up for that. They did their best to accommodate us. Would not recommend taking small children and actually Joey seems to be geared for Millennials and Hipsters. That said, they do a great job for that target. Nice cool decor.Trendy artisan food and cocktails. I recommend the Duck Poutine and the Cauliflower. Service was excellent.

My family and i like this place because the food is great and the servers are very kind and cheerful, this was our third visit and i have nothing bad to say about this place, Calamari Fritti is our favorite and the Steak with Rainbow roll is my favorite because i am a Sushi fan, so you get both world (Steak and Sushi),this time the steak was not hot so i wasn't really pleased but overall this is a great place, specially if the weather is cooler you can seat outside with friends and family it really feels great.

It was warm enough to sit outside. The heat lamps kept us quite toasty. Their wine selection is alright. We had a bottle of Argentinian cab. We split a lettuce wrap, rotisserie and key lime pie. The lettuce wrap was very tasty. The cook split the rotisserie chicken order which was very helpful. The only downside was the service. The server was slow on getting our order for wine and appetizer. Once we placed that order, the server was a little more attentive.

Expected better service. Unattentive food servers. Food was decent enough. Ahi tuna salad I ordered had excellent dressing and presentation marred by unripe avocado - which is no excuse - we are in California after all. Place could do better but its people have to really want to try. Will give it another shot to see if it improves.

Me an my husband was out for date night this was actually our first time here and it was amazing . The food was delicious the recommendations from Q was great which were the lobster ravioli, and rotisserie chicken . It was nice and steady and I also met Abby the bartender she was great as well I ended up with the leading lady which I so am . Lol But overall great teamwork we really enjoyed ourselves. We will be back!!!!!!

Me an my girlfriends where there last night it was great as usual!!!!!! Our waitress Q she was good as well I have had her a couple times and she remembers me and my drink . This place is class A keep up the good work !!!!!!

Food was amazing got the steak and lobster. Alexis Connor and Ethan are amazing. Had a lot of fun for my friends birthday!!

Service was great. Enjoyed sitting outside in comfortable booth. Fish tacos and sushi good. Roast beef sandwich also recommended with Chardonnay on tap! The Village, what a great location.

Food was great, service fantastic, price on the high end but well worth it. Has outside and inside seating. Great bar, Very clean. The negative would be only metered parking or valet parking. No validation of parking.

I had lunch today with a client at this local neighborhood restaurant. I have passed by it many times, but have never eaten here. It's a mix of California Cuisine, Asian Fusion and then some! Its a tad on the pricy side, but the food is delicious and the service was commensurate with the price paid and for the most part, there are a lot of healthy choices and choices for every walk of life. We had the Siushi Cone (Shrimp Tempura, Avocado, Spicy Mayo and greens, also had the Hawaiian Tuna Tacos as appetizers and for an entree had the BBQ Salmon Rice Bowl which was excellent and definitely had more protein than rice (which is a refreshing change for a dish called a Rice Bowl!) I will definitely come back!

There was 6 of us - We all had something different and everybody loved what they got. I don't like vegetables but they have this cauliflower dish that is really good.

My sister and I consulted trip advisor and Yelp and decided on Joey. We were greeted immediately by two lovely hostesses and offered free champagne. We were seated and given water. No one ever acknowledged us again. The tables to either side of us were waited on several times. We gave them about 15 minutes and walked out. They were so out of touch with what was going in in their restaurant they held the door for us as we left.....never again.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here. The food was really good, and the server was super!!! We all had steak, and it was cooked perfectly. I'm sure we will be returning for more birthday dinners!!!

Came here for lunch. Huge modern restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. They have large windows allowing plenty of light. Valet parking and plenty of self parking in the mall area. The hostesses and managers were all smiles and very attentive. Our waiter had a good balance of being present but not obtrusive. I had the curried prawns and rice which was delicious. Also try the key lime pie...very good.

It was a great experience, the ambiance was very nice. The staff was beautiful thorough and friendly. The food was also beautiful and very good. Both the Ahi Salad and Calamari were worth ordering again. The Butter Chicken is a favorite, just be sure to be accurate on your spice level.

I went to enjoy happy hour with one of my associates. It was our first time there after looking it up online. I love the feel of the place. It was mid day when we went so at night it must be beautiful with dim lights. It has a real chill vibe and the food is great too! I would say its great for dates and meetings.

spent a nice dinner with family and we sat in the outside tables with the fire setup on the table. we ordered spinach ravioli that came perfect with calamares and roast chicken. the chicken was surprisingly tender and moist and complemented the pasta. the atmosphere was also perfect for a more romantic date but i guess it was nice even for groups

Joey is a cool atmosphere with patio or indoor dining that offers a foodie experience without breaking the bank or hours of waiting. the food and drinks were delicious, served quickly and staff was helpful and friendly. We had the Korean Fried Cauliflower for starters along with sangria to cool us down after a hot day. My husband had the Baja fish tacos, I had the Katsu Chicken Peanut salad which was a flavorful Thai inspired dish that was both filling and tasty. Our friends enjoyed the steak and shrimp skewer and a Cesar salad.

The food was really good. Coconut curry and naan was awesome . The protein burgers with lettuce instead of bun is a must try. Vegetarians have set of options as well.

Food and service are very good. I’ve been here a couple of times and there are a lot of good options in the area. We sat outside with our client to enjoy the warmth at lunch and all enjoyed our food (roast chicken sandwich, Baja fish tacos and very credible sushi). Prices are reasonable/moderate. I’d recommend.

Food was delicious, all had a really good meal. Service very attentive and chatty, good appetiser of Korean cauliflower. Our waitress Jade was lovely. Visited twice during our trip from the UK to the Woodland Hills Area!

We sat outside on the patio and had delicious food and drinks! Great atmosphere and fun place. Our waiter (Randoll) was kind and helpful! Great experience.

Took my friend to lunch here for his birthday. It wasn’t overly crowded and the hostess said they were slow. The hostess starts you off with a glass of bubbly which is fun. We got a seat on the patio right away but that was the only efficient part of our experience. Unfortunately we didn’t see our waitress for almost an hour. We had to snag someone from the bar to order our meal and get water. The sushi starter was mediocre, definitely wouldn’t get it again. The rest of the food met expectations. We inquired with our waitress about dessert. We ended up ordering two apple tarts based on her recommendation when one would have been plenty. It was however the best thing that we ordered by far! Overall not impressed.

We had an amazing dining experience at Joey’s, largely thanks to our server, Chaste. She was kind, knowledgeable, and provided exceptional service throughout the meal. Her attention to detail and genuine hospitality stood out. Highly recommend Joey’s — and if you get Chaste as your server, even better!

Had dinner recently and found the place a bit lacking. It seems to cater to the millenniums and is a bit over priced for the food portions and food quality. The place was buzzing and lively so much so that it was hard to hear yourself talk. Joey serves small plates which cost average of $22+ per small plate entree. The sushi roll was really good but everything else was just okay for me. While a great bar scene, it's just not on my repeat list. Don't mind paying if the food is superb.

Do not go here. We waited for 30 plus minutes for cold undercooked food - we did not complain. We needed to take some additional food home with us for a family member who could not join us. That also took an additional 30 minutes. Waitress was fast to shove the pad in my face automatically requesting a high tip. I gave an 18% tip even though I did not think the food or service was worth it. I asked for a receipt and I was not given one. I was ignored. I needed a receipt as I have to save my receipts for an expense reason. We left and I realized that no receipt was placed in the bag or handed to me by this lousy waitress. I actually drove back to the restaurant after trying to call on the phone and being kept on hold for 10 minutes. I sent my son back inside with the food to ask for a copy of our receipt - 4 people standing around at the front reception area and no one would assist him with a copy of the receipt - he came out to the car and said they would not give him a receipt - I had to get out of the car and go inside and attempt to ask for my receipt all while their valet screamed at me for waiting in front of restaurant. The girl at the front reception who claimed to be the manager said she thought it was stupid that they could not give me a receipt but there is “nothing she can do” but show me her system !!! What the heck is this ? She can only text me a copy of something that is not a receipt just shows what I spent. - NOT ACCEPTABLE - Poor food, awful service, demanding of high tips, then NO RECEIPT> AVOID AVOID AVOID this classless joke of a restaurant masquerading as “high end”- trust me they are not. GO SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.

The staff were great and the Martinis were perfectly made but the dry rub wings were a big miss !! Dry and overcooked but I will return and try something else for Happy Hour .

Tons of parking available in the adjacent garage and free for two hours. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with spacious booths, tables and high tops. I had a burger and it was great. She had the salmon bowl which looked good. No reservation needed over lunch hour.

I have been to Joey a few times for appetizer and drinks and couple times for dinner. This place is a popular place for a younger crowd that doesn't value good food, for me it is very important the food I order and the quality I get. Fun place to be around but not good for dinner!

Varied menu in an area dominated by pretentious steakhouses. Salmon filet done as ordered on a bed of delicious spinach and vegetables with creamy potatoes. Service was friendly and efficient at the peak of a very busy dinner hour. A certain repeat.

We had high hopes for Joey, perhaps because it was Canadian or because it was the last restaurant in the Village to open. The atmosphere is very contemporary with a central open kitchen. The food is flavorful from a menu that is influenced by the flavors of France, Canada, Japan and India. I would have liked for my main to be hotter coming directly from the kitchen. Try the duck poutine, it's delicious. The server suggested the Indian Butter Chicken. It was flavorful but lacked the spiciness of true Indian cuisine. Try the Steak Frites instead. Make sure to visit the bathroom to try the faucets that also dry your hands.

Two of our party were younger and hipper and had been hearing about Joey. They guided; we paid. Works okay, yeah. We enjoyed a number of dishes including cauliflower done up in an orange sauce that reminds you a bit of glazed chicken chinese style. My own dish was a Panang curry w prawns that the menu called Coconut curry w prawns, but our server used the more generic name. It might have been a bit on the spicy side for those who like their curry mild, but it was perfect for us (I shared with my wife). My wife enjoyed a farmer's salad with chicken. It included unusual greens and radish and was extremely fresh. One of the youngsters went with the power salad and it was especially beautiful in presentation. Servers were all very attentive and attractive. We were seated promptly, orders were taken without delay, and the food arrived with little fuss. The atmosphere was visually interesting and the sound levels were low and supported intimate conversation.

Caroline was the greatest server ever! We celebrated my mom’s birthday at Joey’s and it was beyond fabulous! The food is delicious…I recommend the Herb Crushed Salmon with asparagus and creamy mashed potatoes and the sushi is delicious too!

Great experience here. Staff is very friendly, helpful and prompt. Food was good. I had the fish tacos and my mom and girlfriend had the lettuce wraps. For desert we had the key lime pie. You have to get the key lime pie. I am not a fan of key lime, but this was delicious, and the real homemade whip cream left me wanting more. The restaurant is very clean, the kitchen is surrounded by glass so you can see everything from prep to finish of the food.

Joeys is one of my favorites here in Woodland Hills. The burgers are really good here. I'd recommend getting there outside of the lunch rush so before 11:30 or after 12:45 so you get better service, they can be slow during the rush.

Ultimately it's about the food, and after a couple of trips here I haven't been knocked out. Yet. Last Saturday night's steak frites: mediocre. Sizzler-level steak buried amidst a strangely dense thicket of greens, with unremarkable, generic skinny fries. Not terrible, but not worth the price. It's a similar story with the sliders I had on my first trip here: bland and ever so slightly rubbery. Not awful, mind you, but just lacking the sort of effort or thoughtfulness that is promised in a venue this sleek and sexy. It's a gorgeous space, and deserves better from the kitchen. Service on both occasions was OK—competent and unremarkable, which is a good thing—and the bar is well-appointed and generous. Which goes a long way toward curing any deficiencies. Make reservations if you're coming on a weekend night. So. Bottom line? Everything surrounding the food itself primes you for a truly memorable experience, and then it fizzles a bit when the entree hits the table. I'll go back, just to try something else. Maybe I missed the standout dish. I hope so. I really dig the vibe here.

Very good good. Brilliant taste and everything was perfect. Excellent service. We when twice in one Day, diner and súper we tryed diffent dishes and each one was very good

The restaurant is in a good location and beautifully decorated. The menu is a bit small and pricey. I had a bbq salmon brown rice bowl and it was good. Our service was fast and professional. From being seated to paying our bill, was about 30 mins. Our drinks were never empty.

I had to host a client for lunch and the client chose this place. My first time and it was a perfect day weather wise. They covered outside seating that partially blocked the sun but you still felt outdoors. I was in the mood for tuna and started with the tuna tacos and then had the tuna club sandwich. It was a nice piece of seared tuna with bacon and onion rings. Both were very fresh tuna and delicious. The service was excellent too.

Enjoyed this restaurant very much. Clean, great service, great food and a great ambiance. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a hip, cool and elegant restaurant.

The food never disappoints. The service is excellent the food is superb but it is a bar scene so expect a little bit of a buzz and a whole lot of noise

Arrived and were offered a small glass of rose cava whilst waiting for a table, nice touch. Seated at a table near the kitchen door & servers station so could see everything going on. So many staff on duty hanging around doing very little. One waitress stood smoothing her hair and scratching her arms before proceeding to tables to take orders, ugh! We visited Joey as we saw they had Butter chicken curry on the menu. We are on holiday and were looking forward to a curry which can be hard to find in the USA. Well, this was in no way a butter chicken curry. Firstly, the sauce was full of courgette, carrot, onion , red & green peppers with just the tiniest portion of chicken. Then the sauce was glazed and clearer than a butter sauce which should have been creamy & buttery. The development chef needs to look up authentic Indian recipes for a decent one. Please rename this as it is totally misleading. Plus it doesn't taste good. The accompanying naan was more like a chapati than a puffy naan and the poppadum was dry. Rice was ok. All in all, it was awful and should be removed from the menu. Decor and ambience in Joey is nice. Shame about the food.

Love Joey Woodland Hills! I took my husband here for his 50th birthday dinner. We both loved the ambience! Food was great and reasonably priced. Waiters and Waitresses are really nice. The kitchen is the part of the restaurant that is well lit - never seen that in any of the restaurants I've ever been before. Valet is high tech - impressive! Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and the place! My tip - make reservations especially on Fridays. It's very popular!

A group of us from work ate here yesterday. I ordered the Bollywood butter chicken and my co workers ordered the farmers chopped chicken salad and the lobster prawn Ravioli. All of the items we ate were excellent with the exception of the chopped salad. The chopped salad at corner bakery or magiannos is better. Overall it was very good food. The service was also great.

Went in for late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday to beat the crowd. We were actually able to make a reservation on the website earlier so that wasn’t a problem anyway. They have happy hour from 3-6 everyday! Even the amazing hummus is on the HH menu. The restaurant was busy, several servers were very attentive, food was good and a little pricey but great ambiance. It’s located at the Village, so lots of parking options - valet or limited parking in the front or parking structure with 3 hours of free parking!

While visiting the Woodland Hills area, we walked over to The Village mall from our hotel and noticed JOEY Woodland Hills. We made a reservation for the 6 of us on Open Table. The table was ready when we arrived and we were seated promptly. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and provided excellent service throughout the meal. I had the Bollywood Butter Chicken, which was flavorful, had a little heat and overall delicious. It was served in a small skillet with rice. The 5 others with me all said their meals were very good, even my vegan, gluten free daughter from something she enjoyed. There was a decent selection of beers to choose from. Overall, I'd definitely go back there again if in the area.

Food was good, large restaurant. Beers and cocktails are a little on the high side price wise. Service was great however. Atmosphere was good but the bar atmosphere wasn't that awesome.

Love the location and the ambiance!! Outside patio when the whether is good is great. Service has always been amazing. I had their sangria and the salmon bowl and my friend had a sushi roll. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This restaurant is always a choice when I'm in the area. Will be back next time!

Love joey. Had the steak and lobster ravioli this time was excellent and well as the ceviche. Ordered the mezcal drink and it was very refreshing. My local favorite

Service was excellent and quick. The staff made it a wonderful experience. The food was very tasty and delicious.

Good idea to make a reservation as it can get busy at certain times and you may be left waiting outside for a table. The waiters are energetic and efficient ( all wearing masks ) and are very familiar with the food and drink menus. We visited for happy hour a couple of times recently and sampled most of the starters which were all very good: sliders, humous, truffle parmesan fries. Happy hour menu/ drinks slightly limited in choice & selecting from main menu alongside can quite easily bump up the overall price. The decor is smart/casual and makes a good choice for either business or leisure & families- lunch & late afternoon appear to be the quieter times. Bar area very pleasant and a fun place to meet-up. Booths both indoors and out are a nice option for.small groups dining with the restaurant becoming quite lively inside in the evenings. The kitchen ( behind glass) is quite a busy operation with a multitude of chefs. A bit on the higher end price range, but one of the better restaurants in the area - made a very good mojito! :-)

Yes - food is amazing but not worth the stress of the worst service in the planet. I gave this place 3 chances and this is how it went: 1st time - our wine arrived together with the bill! Yes! I went with my husband for a date and we order wine - after asking for it with 4 different waiters it arrived when we were done with our food. 2nd time - waiter took note of the drinks of half table and left. When we asked for him again and said we were missing the other half he acknowledged and went away. Today - sitting in the table 30min without any waiters to look at us. Finally order drinks and appetizer for 3. 2 got drinks and my water (yes, water) came after I was almost done with my entree! And after asking for it 3times. Seriously don't go!!! Check their Yelp reviews too so you will understand.

I was there at lunch. Love the fact that they offer a glass of champagne while you wait, shows a great hospitality. Loved the quinoa salad - one of the best I ever had. The cauliflower everyone is raving about was a bit too sweet and spicy for me. I will come back for dinner next time.

Ladies' end of year dinner out. Trendy restaurant , good food , nice staff. Needed to change sitting area, accommodated the demands of the ladies. Checking in was easy. Classic entrance, need to have table clothes for dinner and proper napkins. Overall nice place.

Great, fun atmosphere:-) Loved the "Whatchamacallit" Chardonnay and the angus sliders were so tasty. The chicken wraps were good but the Octopus was a bit too fishy for my taste. Loved the Dyson dueling wash and drying faucet in the ladies room:-)

We can into JOEY for date night and it was a good experience but could have been better. The atmosphere was great! The food was great! However, the service was just okay. We waited 25 minutes before anyone came to say hi and take our drink order and after that our server was still just okay. I would highly recommend ordering the salmon with caviar or the chicken Parmesan.

My friend and I have gone to the Village twice to shop. Shopping there is hectic as there is always a sea of humanity moving like flocks of sheep. It's like a slalom run dodging and weaving through the crowds. So to take a break from the madness we've gone to Joey for lunch. The restaurant is very large and open. The decor is ultra-modern, yet makes you feel comfortable. I love the fact that the kitchen is open yet closed - it's glassed in which traps the heat there and out of the dining room. We both times sat at the bar and the service has been very attentive. They have a nice selection of signature drinks: the sangria and the bellini come to mind. There are large TVs carrying sports for those interested. The fish tacos are in actuality a combination of fish and shrimp - very tasty. The farmers chopped chicken salad is excellent. The grilled octopus salad appetizer is light but truly a salad and should of had more octopus though. The calamari fritti again is a nice appetizer to share. The Korean fried cauliflower is another very shareable dish. Overall a nice interlude with good food and service.

We went to this lovely restaurant in the Village in Woodland Hills with another couple. The Menu, though a bit limited, is nice. We ate indoors with a view to the kitchen, but it was very loud. In retrospect, the patio, which is lovely, would have been a better choice. The bartenders will serve precisely one ounce of booze for your cocktail, so if you drink your alcohol straight, don't expect a free pour. Our friends who have eaten at Joey several times say this is the way it works at this place. No problem. I ordered the sushi and steak, pictured on the trip advisor page above, and it was really terrific. The steak came as ordered (med rare) and the sushi was really fresh. Two ordered steak frites which they loved. The final person ordered salmon and got shrimp. The server really created a negative evening. She repeated the orders back to us TWICE, and then when served the wrong dish to one in our group, said to make the order right would take too much time for the kitchen....but would bring it back and redo if we really would not eat the shrimp. Huhhhh? All four of us heard salmon repeated twice. Fortunately, our friend was not allergic to shrimp and ate it. Not the answer we wanted to hear from the waitress, and candidly, bizarre, but the person with the wrong meal was hungry and did not wish to make a scene. That is not how a restaurant should work, and certainly was not "Inviting". Clearly, our waitress was worried about getting in trouble. But for the server, I truly would have ranked this place a five.

Trip through the San Fernando Valley with a detour to Woodland Hills for a Costco run, gas fill, and a bite of lunch. This was our first visit to Joey. The menu is broad appealing to many palates. They have a nice wine and beer list in a cool atmosphere. It was too warm for the covered patio -I imagine it enjoys a vibrant bar scene. All ordered items were served correctly and at temperature. Husband found the grilled chicken club very good. I can’t resist cauliflower taco and these were fresh and bright accompanied by a spice chili sauce. We both wisely chose the peanut and kale side salad-inventive, tasty and very “peanutty “. The waitstaff, from the hostess to attendants were very pleasant and accommodating. The menu is calling me back for an evening meal!

Joey is a large pretty restaurant, with a beautiful outdoor dining area. The menu is eclectic, with an unusual mix: calamari, octopus, curry and sliders in the starter section, to burgers, chicken, steak, ramen, and paella in the mains. Something for everybody. The menu is a bit pricy, but I was curious. My wife and I went for lunch on our first visit, and was greeted with a glass of champagne and a beautiful table outside. My wife had the salmon bowl which she found to be good, but not exceptional. I had rotisserie chicken, which is a standard, available at many restaurants, and I use as an initial dish to rate a restaurant. I had the bistro plate, which is half a chicken, french fries and cole slaw for $22. The chicken is brined for 24 hrs. which is evident in the chickens moistness and flavor that permeates the meat. I thought it was outstanding and I cleaned every bone. French fries were flavorful, and the cole slaw a bit dry and so/so. Service was a bit slow, but adequate. I loved the chicken so much, I will be back for it again, but am curious to try other menu items. Can't afford to visit often, but on that occasion when I want to splurge, I'll head over to Joey.

I was very enthusiastic about dining at Joey. We enjoy The Village and watched as Joey was built and opened. Sadly, we were disappointed and would not go back for the food. We sat on the patio which is really lovely and a great place to take a break and watch the activity at The Village. It took a while for our server to come to the table, and then a very long time to get drinks. I had asked about gluten-free options and got a response that was basically "you'll have to figure it out." I ended up having to have the waitress go back not once but twice to the chef check ingredients on a few items, and she seemed irritated that I was even asking. BTW I am not GF by choice, and would much rather eat a pizza but I just can't, so finding out what ingredients are in the food matters a lot. I finally ordered a chicken dish special which was very average. My son ordered a steak cooked medium. It came out rare and lukewarm, and he had to send it back. The second attempt came out perfectly cooked, but he said the flavor was just OK. So two mediocre dishes and uninspired service—I'm not going back. I've since talked with many friends who have been to Joey and had similar experiences with service and food. If you want a great steak and some fun at The Village, have a drink on the patio at Joey and walk across the street to Fleming's...

Went to Joey's for a quick bite to eat last week. Any place the offers a drink when we first walked in gets a A+ from me. We tried the hamburger sliders & mushroom soup. Everything was really good. Waitress was great! Next visit we will diffently try something different.

I want to be something other than harsh about this place, especially since it seems like it could be good...We were seated, given menus, and that was about it. For about 25 minutes the server walked by our table, looked at us, then went and talked to other employees. Then, he just disappeared. After (and we clocked it) 35 minutes, we got up and left. The restaurant was almost empty, and you could see employees, as well as a few other patrons. Clearly, our invisibility cloak worked LOL

I've eaten here a couple of times and the food is always pretty good. (Although this time one of our guest's steak was cold when it arrived). What let this visit down was the staff. Our waitress was very polite and helpful but she really had no idea about serving in a restaurant and struggled to even open the bottle of wine. This was compounded when at the end of the meal we were charged for a main that we hadn't ordered and a double charge for the dish we had to send back because it was cold.

I enjoyed the energy of this restaurant. While the food was good, it was definitely the customer service which stood out for me. The waitstaff is outgoing and very attentive. There are two twin sisters who work there who are talented and amazing - The Newman sisters. They went out of their way to make my family and I feel very welcome. The restaurant is also conveniently located in the mall, so there is a lot to do before or after your meal.

This was my first (and last) time there. I ordered an expensive hamburger with lettuce, tomato and crispy onions. The first time it came it had cheese. The second time it had mushrooms. When I finally got the right order, the crispy onions looked like bread crumbs and the french fries were not hot. I would have complained again to the waitress, but she did not return until she gave me the bill. Ugh!

So traveling south this weekend and made a stop in Woodland hills to hang out with my younger bro and he recommended we try Joey. I saw on Trip and another review website that the reviews were consistent 4/5 and the big complaint if any was the slow service. Well 1 they just opened a few months ago so they were probably trying to figure it out still. Then 2 I would solve that by going just before the rush at 6pm. Joey is located in an area called "The Village" which has a great selection of restaurants to chose from. Got in and got seated right away. Joey really has a great look to it on the inside. We were seated at a comfortable booth with a nice view of the whole place. We started with drinks and apps. We ordered the Korean cauliflower and the spice rubbed wings ( both of these were very different from your normal restaurant appetizers but both extremely tasty). For dinner two us ordered steaks which came with mashed potatoes that were deep fried in wonton wrappers to look like egg rolls finished off with a sprinkle of sour cream, fresh bacon bits and chives ( stellar idea that tasted great). Both of our steaks were Prime grade one Filet and one Sirloin. Both steaks themselves were good not great for the cut of meat that they were. We also felt that they were both a tad dry and should have been served with a bit of sauce on the side to liven them up. My brother went with the fish tacos that he liked. We also ordered a rainbow sushi roll for the table that was dynamite especially this not being a true Japanese sushi restaurant. For dessert we ordered the mini apple pie with the maple ice cream...Wow really good. By the way our waitress Caroline was great all the way through. While waiting for our dessert the manager came up to us and asking how everything was going. We told her we were a little disappointed that they did not offer sambucca for the coffee. She responded and everything she said had the 100% total valley girl voice and attitude it was actually kind of funny. sambucca-eh, I've never heard of eheheht. Where do I get eheheht. I know my typing can't do the voice justice but it was just too spot on and too funny. She asked where we were from and where she could get it in our town because she frequents there. I thought ok Italian liquor any Italian restaurant in the world including the one right next door to Joey ( I don't mean to sound mean and she was really trying hard to understand it was just valley girl silliness to the max). Anyway you had to be there. So all in all even though the steaks were a tad dry which is a shame for Prime grade steaks everything else was awesome. If we get ever get the chance we would definitely return. By the way make reservations way in advance if you can for a Friday night and probably Saturday night dinner to make sure you get in. Lots of patrons frequent this establishment and they are well worth the business.

Came here for Happy hour to celebrate a Birthday and had a very enjoyable experience. Nice big comfortable booth - ambiance on a weekday afternoon was perfect - not too busy. Shared sliders, dumplings and hummus and all tasted very nice ! Service was very good and the waiter we had was professional and friendly. Definitely one of the better restaurants in this location.

Excellent service and food. Greated us with a glass of champagne Definitely will come back The restaurant was beautiful with indoor and outdoor patio seating

The calamari had a delicious ariola sauce. The shrimp and fish were pretty food and the lobster sauce with shrimp ravioli that was excellent and the chocolate soufflé was a must.

Truly a wonderful experience! This was my second time dining at Joey, first time was in Toronto. You must try the molten chocolate cake, it's truly out of this world! We dined in the outdoor patio and it was a beautiful environment.

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced meal, probably best to skip this place. . The appetizers, the entrées, and just about everything else on the menu will set you back a bit. But if you are not on a budget, this is a good place to dine. The chicken sandwiches for lunch are tasty. The ambience was good and our waitress, wise, professional, and attentive. You get 90 minutes validated parking.

Went for dinner with my wife at this restaurant. The food was awesome and service was fast, efficient and friendly. The Osaka Style Sushi and Hawaiian Tuna taco's were incredible. I finished with a filet mignon that was cooked perfectly. Don't miss this place it is a winner!!
Great Business Lunch Spot - Service and Food
Hosted a group of 8 for a business lunch. Despite it being December, we sat outside under the heaters. It was very pleasant, while giving us extra room to discuss business. Started with appetizers, followed with lunch. Everyone seemed to really enjoy what they ordered, as their menu (not large) has many different types of food to select from. Tasty. The service was excellent, starting with our greeter and then waitress. I would certainly recommend this place.
