From the waitstaff to the menu, everything was first class. I had the french onion soup which was a generous portion and arrived piping hot. having been all steaked out i had the scallops which were excellent, and left no room for dessert. The waitstaff all appeared to be there for many years and were very knowledgeable and friendly.

We ate at this restaurant while staying overnight at the Marriott. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the food and wine as well as the ambience and decor of this busy restaurant. My husband's steak was perfectly cooked and I enjoyed my chicken dish which was also beautifully cooked and presented. Our wine was also of fine quality. This was out best meal so far during our vacation!

Really a perfect end to a holiday. A little pricey but the quality is good. Fish and steak are equally good. Bread pudding desert is to die for. Meal for two with wine and cocktail was 230 dollars with tip.

Pleasantly surprised. A very good steak house in the airport Marriott hotel. The restaurant has an exposed kitchen where you can watch steaks and other items being grilled. I have been avoiding cauliflower for a half century. However, I am trying to change my diet and avoid potatoes, so I ordered the grilled cauliflower. It was amazing. After dinner I walked to the open kitchen to tell the chef how good the cauliflower was and ask how he prepared it. He reached over and broke off a few pieces. Threw them on the grill and added some salt & pepper. Who knew? If you want a good steak and do not want to leave the hotel, this could be your place.

This place was bougie and we knew it going in... It was our last big night in California and we wanted to have one last good meal before flying back to Missouri. Ou waitress Grace was superb, and the atmosphere was nice although the food prices were outlandish, my fiancé talked me into ordering the surf and turf. The lobster was ok but a little rubbery... the steak was ordered Medium and was sent to me very well done. I pointed this out to our waitress, and she said they would be happy to fix it for me. When they finally got my steak back to me we were both completely done with our meal and as I sliced into my steak we heard the very distinct Mooo sound we are accustomed to in Missouri. I ate steak Tartar for the first time as I am not one to make a fuss. So. I guess the moral of this story is high prices doesn't mean better quality and I would probably avoid this place if I had to do it all over again.... $220 later and we both drank water and didn't order any sides.

We didn't feel like going outside so ate at JW's steakhouse in the hotel. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked. The wedge salad was crisp, cold and perfect. House wine was quite nice. Serving staff was attentive without hovering. Very pleasant surprise for a hotel restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but felt like fairly priced for the quality and service I received.

The Restaurant is very nice for an Airport Hotel. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the choices are great. We enjoyed a calm nd leisurely dinner, with a good bottle of wine and great service.

My husband and I stayed overnight in a hotel close by. We went there for dinner, it is a nice walk from our hotel. The steak wa delicious. Best steak we had in a long time. You might want to dress for the outing. This is a classy place. Good, attentive service too.

A steakhouse is not a place I would expect to find vegan options; however, I am often surprised and delighted. This restaurant offers 3 vegan options. I opted for two: avocado dome and “Shepard’s Pie.” Both were outstanding. The flavors were unique. If your appetite desires a hearty meal, go for the pie. You won’t miss the meat. This is a steak lovers restaurant. My husband’s NY was perfectly cooked, and the tenderness and flavor were superb. The butter cake with bourbon ice left us speechless.

This restaurant blew my mind. Every item I ordered was over the top delicious. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Was not expecting this place to be as good as it was. We started with fresh bread. The pretzel bread sticks were so delicious. The wedge salad was my starter. I decided to go with the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. The lobster baked potato is great for sharing and it’s the size of a small football. The lamb chops were also amazing. The staff was first class and always stopping by to make sure I was happy.

We stayed at the Marriott for a conference and decided to eat dinner here. We ordered a wedge, filet mignon, and a ribeye. All were delicious. The steaks were so good. I also ordered a mojito with malibu coconut rum. So so good. Our waiter was great and on top of it. Will definitely come to this place again.

JDUBS steakhouse is off the hook good. Ambience is great. Food is amazing. Service is awesome. Go here regardless of occasion.

This is an average hotel steakhouse. Nothing close to a Ruth's Chris or similar steakhouses. Steak flavor was good but nothing exceptional. Online menu has not been updated to reflect the current assortment. If you're at the Marriott or staying nearby, it's a good choice. If you are looking for a night out by car, I'd suggest you go elsewhere.

I was looking for a place to celebrate the end of my first solo trip and was recommended the JW Steakhouse. It was perfect! I like my steak with marbling and was recommended the ribeye by Jose. It was a thick cut but managed to retain a juiciness which was enhanced by the most subtle marinade. I did not need the bearnaise sauce at all! Jose took great care of me too! I highly recommend this place for steak lovers and those who enjoy great service. Thank you Jose!

I was in Los Angeles with a business associate who wanted steak, so I pulled up my trusty TripAdvisor app on my phone and started looking. JW's was highly rated, and within walking distance of our hotel, which was amazing all by itself. Nothing is ever within walking distance in LA, sometimes not even the other side of the street. As we followed the directions, we realized it was in the lobby of the LAX Marriott. Uh-oh. As a seasoned business traveler, I know well that hotel restaurants are often adequate, but rarely outstanding and the closer you get to an airport, the worse they get. But we soldiered on, and were pleasantly surprised. Decor a little "Marriott generic" but the service was very good, the wine list good enough, and the steaks fabulous. Excellent cut, well aged, and perfectly cooked. The only disappointment was the creamed corn, an LA steakhouse specialty all over town, but JW's interpretation, while interesting, not top rank. Go for the spinach. Expensive, but worth it. This is LA, and right next to the airport, get calibrated. FWIW, I went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles the next day for breakfast. I completely different cultural experience, and equally excellent in it's own way.

This restaurant is not cheap (50 bucks per steak) but it is not bad, rather it is soooo gooood!!! The staff is very friendly

Chefs had mo idea what they were doing. Med Rare Filet comes out mes and med well comes out wrong 4 times. Bread was cold on abre order request, and my Margarita was a disaster.

Stayed at Hilton next door but went to this restaurant at Mariott..,after getting stale bread at Hilton snack bar. Great waiter, tasty chardonnay and i ended up ordering flat iron ...which I had never heard about before in my life. Anyhow it was tasty steak and a very good experience and fast service.

We had an early morning flight back to the east coast so wanted to stay at an airport location the night before. Hmmmm......where to have dinner in the area. We have visited the JW restaurants in the past and were not terribly impressed. Certainly not bad but not exceptional either. We just didn't want to deal with the LA traffic at peak drive time so opted for a nearby restaurant location. From start to finish we were impressed. Greeted warmly at the entrance by the hostess, followed by our waitress Christiana who welcomed us and took our drink order. The salads (one arugula and one spinach) were fresh, large, and very tasty. The crab cakes were better than some I have had in Baltimore! My husband's scallops were cooked to perfection and the cauliflower/spinach "bed" they were set on was delicious! We were very pleasantly surprised and would recommend to anyone in the area!

I decided to give 5 stars because of the amazing service i recieved from the restaurant. We stayed at the Marriott horel at Lax, Frankly i chose this hotel because of the restaurant, it was my last day in the States and i was craving for a good steak! . i was after a surgery and had to stay in bed. Although the restaurant has no room service and no take away the manager of the restaurant agreed to deliver the food to my room due to my disability. A very nice gesture! I started with the garlic shrimp ; very good and tasty dish. The shrimp was very fresh and the sauce was excellent . From the grill I ordered the ribeye with the market veg. The steak was juicy and the quality was good . For dessert i had a mousse cake that arrived with srawberries and was good. In total it was more than 110$. I enjoyed the meal . It is a good restaurant however the meat is a bit pricey . is this the best meat i've tasted , no . The meat Ive tasted in Buenos Aires and Bariloche was half the price and was amazing .

Great food and our waiter was excellent and his wine recommendations were spot on. starters of Shrimp and salad were both good and our mains of Fillet and New York Strip were cooked just right and had a great flavour. Our only complaint is they pretty much whipped our starter plates away and served our mains as soon as the last morsel of starter left our plates. In fact I think I was still chewing the last mouthful when the entrees came. They offered to put the plates under heat lamps for a few minutes but when you have ordered expensive steaks you don't want them kept standing and dried out. When you are paying over $100/head for a meal you expect a little space between courses and time to savour the food and enjoyment ... all just a little rushed.

We had an incredibly fine and romantic dinner here, while staying at the Marriott. It exceeded our expectations in terms of the quality and taste of the food as well as the attentiveness and professionalism of the service staff

Stopped in for dinner at the Marriot while waiting for an arrival at LAX. JW Steakhouse turned out to be a great choice. The dinner was awesome! Not only was the restaurant service excellent, but all the staff we interacted with were helpful and kindhearted! From the valet staff to the guy who helped us find an ATM - all were wonderful! We'll definitely be back!

Got a chance to eat here when family fly in and stayed at the Marriott. I love good steak! I always order mine medium rare. It came out perfect and tender!! KLove this place. David Hager Los Angeles

By invite from my Furry friend “Myrishi,” I was invited to dinner by walking two blocks west from Golden State Fur Con 2024 at LAX Hilton to JW Steakhouse located inside Los Angeles Airport Marriott on Friday night, April 5th. A high-end style restaurant that prides itself in making good steaks. Boy, this restaurant was dressed to impress (though we ourselves walked in dressed casual, wearing furry themed clothing and sporting tails and that we had an actual Fursuiter with our party that got served inside the dining room!!) My best friend and roomie Truce Wolf joined me, along with the aforementioned fursuiter “Crazy Joe,” Myrishi and another furry Zackarie for a lively and memorable dinner at one of L.A.‘s finest steakhouses. We started with a bone marrow appetizer that I didn’t really try, as it had onions and I dislike onions. Truce ordered Pan Fried Sea Bass, which looked pretty good. I ordered the Filet Mignon ($72.00!! for the steak, add $14 for the Grilled Asparagus which I shared with Myrishi.) The Filet Mignon was delicious medium well, no need for any sauce at all. The grilled asparagus was delicious as well. Our server was an older gentleman who provided excellent service throughout. Myrishi paid for my meal, which was very kind of him. I’m sure the bill was quite higher than a diner, but I’m glad we went. Some of the waitresses asked for pics with “Crazy Joe,” which was quite entertaining. This is definitely a must go for special events and celebrations with family or friends. FIVE CLAWS UP!!!!! Thanks for reading my review of JW Steakhouse inside LAX Marriott. Joe G. Bear - GSFC 2024 Con Review

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience but did find the steaks a little expensive. However, good service, good cocktails, good food. Certainly worth a visit.

We ordered two dishes: Roasted chicken and Rib Eye Steak both delicious, well seasoned and the chicken had an absolutely delicious sauce. We also had a plate of mixed vegetables and a beer for a total of 160 dollars. The price is absolutely average and the portions quite large. If you are looking for something in the area I highly Recommendation!

Great meal at the LAX Marriott! The service was very good, and the quality of the steak was outstanding. The wine selection was very nice. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 rating is that the meal temperature was not as warm as I would've liked, and the hollandaise was dissapointing. I would definitely recommend both the hotel and the restaurant, and plan to return on future travels.

A group of 9 of us wanted a nice place to eat close to our hotel at LAX. Found this amazing place which had great reviews. Chef Robert Irvine was walking out when we walked in so I knew it had to be good and it was!! Augustin was such a great waiter and everything we ate was fabulous including desserts! I highly recommend it!

The service was outstanding and the food delicious, these people know how to prepare the meat, it came as ordered and the quality was perfect. A perfect place for steakhouse.

We headed up to a Hotel near to LAX airport the night before our early flight out back to MA to beat the morning traffic. We had dropped of the rental car so dinner had to be within walking distance. We picked JW's Steakhouse. What a great dinner we had. We were in a hotel restaurant and were pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was and the service was the best. Our waiter Willy was very professional and catered to our every need. He was always there when you needed him. They even had my favorite wine! It was a good end to a hectic day getting organized to go home.

Met for a business dinner with a group of four. Very good menu and dinner. I had the Wedge salad and the Flat Iron steak. Good service as well.

My colleague and I ate here one night and found the food to be quite good for a hotel steakhouse. It is fairly quiet with a choice of booths or tables.

Superb service and great steaks were the highlights of our meal. I had the filet while my wife had the rib eye. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We shared a couple sides, potato and asparagus. The staff could not have possibly provided better service. There was no room for dessert after this great meal.

Considering the location in a hotel near LAX, this restaurant is worth the visit. The steaks are tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. This is a very good choice if you are staying near the airport. The service was good, and the atmosphere is very nice. I had the filet, which was great, as did my husband. The wine selection is good as well. It's a nice place to go if you don't want to drive around LA.

A beautiful place to visit and enjoy a good evening with very tasty dinner and good service. Definitely should be repeated

One never knows what they will find near a major airport, usually just chain restaurants of fast food. We were staying at the Embassy Suites next door but after reading reviews of the steakhouse thought we would give it a try. Glad we did! We were seated quickly and our server arrived to take a drink order and answer any questions. We had an early flight the next day so didn't want to eat anything to heavy. They had an excellent South African Bordeaux style wine features so we ordered 2 glasses. My wife had the shrimp cocktail which had 4 HUGE shrimp and a lively cocktail sauce. She followed that with a bowl of the Lobster Bisque that had big chunks of fresh lobster and a really nice seafood taste. This wasn't from a can or box of ready made soup! I had the Beef Carpaccio which was very good. I finished with some really nice seared Diver Scallops and a side of the wild mushrooms. Our server was very good and the other staff helped bring dishes out as they became ready. Overall an enjoyable meal.

Crab Cakes and seafood soup were superb..... The BLAT Sandwich and homemade chips are great... Since a simple concise review isn't enough and TA requires a minimum of 100 characters. Blah Blah Blah....

The food at JW's is very good, and very expensive. There are plenty of fine restaurants south of the Airport in El Segundo, Manhattan Beach etc. But, if you don't want to leave the hotel, and don't mind the expense, it's very convenient and good food. It's a good idea to call for reservations in advance of a "walk-in"

We were staying at the Marriott on my husband's birthday because we had an early morning flight the next day, and invited his family to come out to JW's for birthday dinner. They validate parking which was good since the hotel's parking is quite expensive and all our guests were not staying overnight like us. We made a 5:00 reservation on OpenTable, but they don't actually open until 5:30, so I have no idea why it let us make the reservation. They were able to sit us earlier than 5:30, so that was good, but it was confusing. The ambiance is great. We had a party of six and I'm always glad when they have a round table for a group of that size, so everyone can be included in conversation. The service was ok... everyone was nice, but the waiter didn't have a great sense of timing - you could tell that he was trying to let us take our time, but it really just dragged on too long and we finally had to call him over so we could order. The food was fine, not bad but also nothing to write home about at the price point. A bit disappointed that they did nothing to acknowledge the birthday celebration. I might return if we were staying at the hotel again and didn't care to venture out, but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip to come back.

I visited this steakhouse two times. In my first visit I tried the rack of lamb, which was perfect. In my second visit I tried the T-bone steak that I ordered medium-well. When it arrived, it was medium-well on one part, but another part of the same steak was more like rare with blood juice coming out of it. The service and ambiance are excellent

My girlfriend and I loved the service and food! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Our server helped us make the right wine choice for our seafood and ribeye. Don't forget dessert, get the cheeseake!

The food quality, service & atmosphere at the JW Steakhouse are all very good - better than most hotel restaurants. It is no not inexpensive but a nice place for dinner.

Amazing food and staff. SHrimp cocktail to die for. The best lamb chops we have ever eaten. The chopped salad is incredible. Well worth the money. A solid A+++

All I can say is WOW!! I RARELY post! Almost never, but I just had a 5 star dinner in an airport hotel! 🙃 WTH?! Anyway, try the Pork Cheek appetizer, white asparagus and strawberry salad and follow it up with either a filet or sea bass! Off the hook! Kudos Marriott LA Hotel!!

My first visit to this restaurant after many stays at this Marriott. Dinner was great, as was the service. Dessert - chocolate mousse, good stuff!

Having dined at JW Steahouse at the LAX Marriott many times, I was disappointed by my June 2021 experience. The interior of the dining room was spartan at best, although this stark atmosphere might have been due to the pandemic. The service was minimal and rushed. The quality of the food was not commensurate with the high prices. In fact, a modest dinner cost more than the hotel room! Enough said!

An incredibly great steakhouse at the Marriott. I usually avoid hotel restaurants but this one should be a destination for all high end steak lovers! The filet was one one of the best quality meats I ever had & cooked perfectly. The potato & tomato salad were delicious as was the crème brûlée. Wines are great choices, also. Super service by staff, very nice seating & a comfortable atmosphere made this a fantastic find on our stay at the Marriott heading to LAX. Next time I’m back this way, JW Steakhouse will be a draw to stay at the Marriott!

Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Menu is a bit light on options. Yes it is a steakhouse, but a few more fish options would be better. I had the scallops which arrived undercooked. Steaks at our table were reported to be fine. In the end, there are limited fine dining options in the vicinity, so this will do if you don't want to go out, but there are better options within a short drive.

We had an enjoyable time and dinner was excellent. We had an appetizer of a “shrimp cocktail” and the shrimp were enormous. It wasn’t the small bay shrimp but 5 very large shrimp on a bed of ice with cocktail sauce for dipping. Dinner was ribeye steaks that were cooked to perfection. I personally would like a bit more seasoning but otherwise it was very good. The baked potato was the largest potato I have seen – it could have easily been split between us! It was about 7” long. Our waiter was very attentive. The only negative I had was they did not serve a Moscoto wine which was surprising since their wine list was extensive. It is a bit pricey but well worth the price for the quality of food you get.

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner while staying at the Marriott during a business stay. Enjoyed a fantastic fillet, excellent wedge salad, excellent wine choices, terrific for business travel.

In the lobby of LAX Marriott, bills itself as a high end steakhouse. Many good steak options and the expected accompaniments, some good non-meat and even a few vegan options. Very pleasant staff, though service slow at times, and service slips here and there — missing cutlery, napkins left on floor, but nothing big. Overall would be a very good place, but then I have to say that the steak was overseasoned and oversauced, over cooked, and less quality meat than I’d want. If I pay~$50 for a steak only (everything ala carte) I want really excellently superb meat. This was good meat, but just that. The other matter that lowers my feeling is that one we all of the restaurant is open to the hotel lobby, which was loud and raucous and so I felt like I was eating in the airport or a shopping mall. Kinda took the experience down a notch. If you are staying at the LAX area, there is nothing close to this good that I could find nearby, so fine, and this place deserves credit for trying to be as good as it can in that setting.

This is a hotel lobby restaurant that is excellent. The restaurant is just in the back of the LAX Marriott, it is properly lit for a great meal, open kitchen and comfortable seating. The steak was excellent, the sides are very generous and well prepared. The French Onion Soup was very good, but not as great as the steak. I had the NY Strip steak, it was perfectly prepared, well seasoned and presented. All in all, an excellent meal at a very good hotel.

We were exhausted, just coming in from a long flight. Yes, it is new Year's eve, but thought a top end Marriott could be prepared--especially given in was a "JW" Steakhouse. I knew the prices would be high, but the service was awful.. over one hour for a bell man to come for our bags--told them we were platinum, but nothing. Rude waiting for a table. Attitude terrible and no promise or even estimation on when we could be seatied, we left.Martiott should be better than this.

Fantastic staff, especially my waiter, Willy. I ordered the chicken which was perfectly cooked and roasted cauliflower which was also delicious and served in an enormous (and much-appreciated) serving size.

We showed up at this restaurant and we were told that there was a wait of 20 minutes or so even though the place had several open tables, so we signed in and went to the bar next door. Ordered a beer and the guy with me tells me that he is going to go back to the hostess to let her know that we were in the bar, he comes back and tells me that our table is ready. We are seated and order, Jim's filet was cooked to perfection, as was my rack of lamb. We split 2 sides, cauliflower and spinach, Jim had sorbet, I had a grand marnier, total was just under $160.

Had a beer in the sports bar and some salsa and chips, the chips were stale (I should have been warned then), but the beer was ok. Moved over to JW Steakhouse for dinner, ambience good, service good, prices very, very expensive, but that is ok if the food is exceptional. Unfortunately it was not, I may have been an exception, but if some the other reviewers thought that this was a great steak, they are kidding themselves. I had the rib eye and am still digesting it a few hours later. Airport hotels are not known for the food and this is no exception. Don't waste your money, go to Burger King.

We went for dinner on way to LAX for a flight. We informed the server that we had a flight and she expedited our order. The steaks were a little over cooked, but very tasty. The rack of lamb was prepared well. Salads and bread were very good. We enjoyed our dinner here.

Food was tasty and well prepared. Virtually no options if you are vegetarian except appetizer salads. Prices are high but there are very few options near the hotel. Clearly this place caters to folks on an expense account.

On an overnight stop in Los Angeles, we had dinner at this steakhouse. It's a quiet enclave in the middle of a busy hotel where the lights are low and the service is friendly and very professional. My husband and I each started with a lobster bisque which was rich and flavorful. I ordered a loaded baked potato, and my husband had a ribeye steak. I had a few bites of his steak and split my potato with him. The potato was very large and came with a plate that had little ramekins with all the traditional add-ons--butter, sour cream, grated Cheddar, bacon, chives. I loved it. The iced tea was very good, and the waiter refilled our glasses without our asking. We split an apple berry stack for dessert. It was something like a cobbler with high sides made of dough and apple slices. It came topped with ice cream, and the waiter had the kitchen split the scoop--half strawberry and half vanilla. This was a very good meal in a comfortable, upscale restaurant.

After a great two weeks travelling through Washington, Oregon and California we decided to treat ourselves to a slap up meal - we walked over from our hotel and after only a short wait were seated for dinner in a busy, but pleasantly quiet environment. The menu was extensive and we selected steaks for us both which were excellent. Service was good considering how busy the restaurant was and the cost was well within our expectations for a hotel's primary restauran.

We came to the Marriott before an early AM LAX flight and were hungry, especially smelling the luscious aromas wafting out of JW's Steakhouse. Our meal was truly sublime. To begin we shared a wedge salad which was perfection. I had the sautéed shrimp appetizer as a main dish. The ample garlic infused into the butter sauce was to die for! My husband had flat iron steak and enjoyed it equally. This is a classy restaurant with white linen table covers. And be sure to ask for Augustine for your server. He has worked there since 1980 and was so personable, efficient, and knowledgeable! We finished our meal with a mouthwatering crime brûlée. Do be sure and dine here for a truly delicious experience!

First off this is part of a Road Trip my wife and I took see my review for Marriott LAX Airport. This place is so so... No words can describe it. I mean a steak was $40 and I mean just just the steak itself. No Baked Potato or even seasonal vegetables on the side I literally had nothing other than my 1 drink I ordered came with this one small piece of steak. The atmosphere was very elegant and nice but I could go to OUTBACK and order 3 drinks steak baged potato and get bread for half the price this place cost us. Again; The markup on this place is so high Marriott should be ashamed and if they are not I am for them I and anyone I talk to about it, will not be staying there, and Marriott has only themselves and their way overly inflated prices.

Had a really nice dinner here with my wife... excellent for a hotel restaurant with good steaks and sides. Wine list a bit limited, but they offered a really nice pre-fix meal with a wine pairing at a reasonable price. Service was top notch!

My sister and I were scheduled to leave LA on a cruise, but it was canceled at the last minute. The cruise line put us up at the Marriott. We decided we deserved an excellent dinner. We both ordered JW's Trio, which included a petite sirloin, a crabcake, and two jumbo shrimp, along with LOTS of vegetables. Everything was delicious, except the two shrimp which were very overcooked. For dessert, I chose the crème brûlée and my sister chose the cheesecake. Both were delicious.

Located into Marriot LAX airport this restaurant offers high-quality steak, interesting wine list, and good services. The venue is perfect for business dinner, my filet mignon was close to being perfect. I spent 100 USD (tips included) for filet mignon, mashed potato, glass of wine and bottle of mineral water very pricey.

I had the lobster and filet mignon with spinach. The lobster was a little over cooked and the stake was good but not fantastic. That coupled with a premium price for being in a hotel made the meal okay.

What a nice experience, professional servers, great filet mignon, delicious vegies, friendly but business atmosphere

Genaro provided efficient, apparently caring and friendly service to my wife and me when we dined at this hotel restaurant on an early departure stay at the LAX Marriott. The meat quality of the flat iron steak sourced from a premiere supplier was exceptional and the presentation cooked rare was perfect. But $35 for a piece of meat with little plate dressing and sides $9 extra is pretty stiff. The audience is captive and I cannot imagine any non hotel resident seeking the restaurant for dinner. The French Onion Soup was above expectation and the berry desert with raspberry sorbet was refreshing. The evening was made by Genaro and spoiled by high menu prices taking advantage of little competition.

Normally, the hotel restaurant is not ones first choice. This is truly an exception. The food was excellent and the service was good. Would be an excellent choice for dinner.

As a frequent traveler it is always nice to be pleasantly surprised. Staying at the lax Marriott for the 3rd time in 6 months and visited this restraunt for the first time. While it is pricey it is worth every penny. The beef carpacio appetizer is outstanding, nice presentation and phenomenal flavor. Filet entree was cooked perfect. Very nice wine list and great service. Will definitely be dining here in the future. They put the emphasis on satisfying the customer and not filling every seat - cudos!

I went there with 2 friends for late night steaks. My flat iron (medium rare) has a rotten smell from afar. I tried a small bite and it was so terrible. The staff and chef insisted that it is a normal for flat iron, NO, IT IS NOT. I know how beef smells like and this is rotten. They agreed to change to fillet mignon similar to my friends’ order which dont have weird smell but half of it is outside burnt. Overall is disappointed for JW standard.

This is the Steakhouse inside of the Marriott LAX. It is loud, with kids running through the place and not really a fine dining steakhouse. It is more of a typical airport hotel that happens to serve good but expensive steaks. Don't get me wrong, the food was quite passable. But with the loud hip hop music playing and tons of moms and dads eating there with the kid continually running to check in, it felt more like a Bennigans than a steak house. About the same price as Flemings for example but the experience is not nearly the same. I had the shrimp cocktail which was good, the ceasar not so great, and a perfectly cooked bone in rib eye ($55). Service was friendly and attentive, except at the end when I was waiting for my check and then paying. Not sure I would go back, the rating on this TA site seems generously high.

We stayed at the LAX Marriott hotel attached to this restaurant for 4 days in celebration of my birthday. We had reservations elsewhere but we all were so tired, we decided to try the hotel restaurant instead. This place was nothing short of the 5 stars. The 5 of us was immediately seated & had a very pleasant server. We first were provided with a basket of bread & butter that included soft pretzels and jalapeno sourdough. She recommended several items from the menu and we did order a couple of those recommendations. We had drinks, appetizers and our main meals all came out without any issues or delays. They also brought out & sang "Happy Birthday" to me. If i had to complain about anything, it would be the lobster bisque. There were large chucks placed on top of the soup, that wasn't too tasty with this soup. Yes, I did try to cut up or shred the pieces but it just didn't taste good or as smooth. I had the delicious crabcakes and my husband had filet mignon with lobster tails. His steak was cooked to perfection!! We highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great Steakhouse with a fantastic selection. Good location near the Airport. Food was great tasting with the staff very helpful

We have an overnight in LAairport so we decided th eat well, sleep well before e continue. The place offers a wide variety of meats sides etc We chose one ribeye with asparagus as sides and one pork chop with Mac n’ cheese everything was very good meats grilled to orde sides full of taste and together with a good bottle of red wine dinner was excellent Service was good and professional

We booked dinner. Very large and nice place, friendly and helpful staff. Cuisine quite good, the glass of water full of ice even if in America it is commonly used for me is not good, as indeed the lack of the tablecloth.

Just got back from a long overseas trip and didn't want to venture out of the hotel for dinner. We opted to go to JW's steakhouse and boy were we pleasantly surprised!. Nice ambiance inside, definitely a steakhouse atmosphere. Service was very friendly, attentive and helpful. We both ordered steaks and they came out perfectly done and were flavorful and tender. We didn't get any starters so just had spinach and potato sides. Wine list was good albeit pricey. Definitely recommend while staying here.

In the LAX Marriott. Both very convenient and excellent food. Certainly not your typical hotel restaurant. Great salads, onion soup, steaks and seafood.

I dined here on a Friday night, and was able to easily get a table. Service was slow at times, but adequate, and the food was above average.

While staying at the nearby Embassy Suites North we wanted a good steak and boom the JW Steakhouse. Located in the Marriott across the street, this was a very good choice. Portion sizes were large. The shrimp cocktail was more little mini lobster tails. The NY Strip was like one pound (whoa). Steak was cooked perfectly. Be hungry when you visit.

Given that there isn't much other restaurants around, this is not a bad choice if you are staying near the airport.

We had the filet mignon and salmon. Everything was absolutely elegant. My husband’s steak was done perfectly. My salmon was also perfect, with a baked potato that just melted in my mouth. Augustin, our sever was warm and accommodating. We were very impressed with this great restaurant and we will return.

I was here a few weeks ago on business and had never eaten here before because it's a bit on the pricey side. I spoke with the restaurant manager (I think) Mr. Joel, who was engaging and encouraged me to try the restaurant and said he would pay for my meal if I didn't love it. I gladly coughed up my cash because the the Cowboy Ribeye I had and the Lobster double stuffed baked potato was the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. This place is better than Ruth's Chris, better than Prime, Wolfgang Puck, I'm telling you, I would've never guessed tucked away in the Marriott LAX was such perfection in food and dining. My service was perfect. My experience is still lingering in my head like a beautiful song. Thank you Joel, thank you JW's and thank you Marriott for the best meal I've ever had.

Located at an airport hotel, it may rise suspicions, but the place was calm and confortable, service excellent and meat dishes very good and well executed. Not cheap, but in line with similar quality steackhouses, with a much less pretentious service

Ate here while spending the night before flying out. The decor was beautiful and the service was outstanding. I had the Filet and my associate had the fresh fish. Both were cooked exactly to order and we're very flavorful. It is a little spend but not as high as the "other two name brand" steak houses. But the food was every bit as good as either of them, even if you steak doesn't arrive sizzling.

I was surprised that the food and service was very good... its in the Marriott and very convenient for a good meal and at the hotel!

They swoop in and dump that basket of fancy bread on you. (The one you didn't need.) It was fabulous because they delivered the bread with WARM butter, not "ice" butter. My servers name was Grace. She just sold me on the rack of lamb. It was incredible. The roasted cauliflower just made the dinner. Everything was wonderful.

Really good place for dinner. Lot's of choices on their menu and a vast wine selection. Service could have been a bit better but we were no hurry. Food was tasty with ample size portions. The atmosphere is really fun as most folks are on holiday and just enjoying their time. Would recommend to others.

We were here for a business dinner. Appetizers were pretty bland. The only one I remember was the crab cake which was so so. The others were boring. Salads were okay. Had the filet for my entree which was okay. However, the so called mashed potatoes resembled wallpaper paste and were inedible. Left before dessert was served. Completely forgettable.

While staying at the Marriott near LAX, we decided to try the JW Steakhouse instead of leaving and driving somewhere else. I liked that they have a short menu and figured they should do a great job then. We shared a wedge salad, which was good. My wife had the rib eye and I had the filet mignon. Her rib eye was excellent looking and had a great taste. My filet was good also. I added an order of fingerling potatoes to finish off the meal. We were pleased. I forgot to mention that I always like when a restaurant brings out fresh warm bread with soft butter. They didn't let me down and brought out a nix basket of bread that included my favorite, pretzel bread. All was good. If you are staying here, then I recommend it. (To Travel Is To Live)

We ate here during a one night stop-over on the way back from Bora Bora to the UK and it was just what we needed. We were both exhausted but had made a quick dash down to Santa Monica Pier to watch the sunset, got back to the hotel (Marriott LAX) at around 8.30pm and decided to eat here rather than the 'cheaper' (and much busier) bar / grill in the hotel. The food is great....beautifully cooked steaks and, to my delight in particular, a wide range of beers on draught ! All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and efficient. The highlight of our evening though was our server, Grace, who was patient, knowledgeable, friendly and extremely efficient. She pandered to my needs for beer rather than wine without raising an eyebrow, was attentive but gave us the space we needed to enjoy our meal, and generally looked after us for the duration of our meal. Once we had finished eating, Grace had no issues with us hanging around to enjoy another drink unlike in some restaurants where they try to move you on to free up the table, and she took the time to speak with us and share some of her background. Thanks Grace, you were a star !

Loved this hotel restaurant. While very pricey, my filet mignon was perfect. The cocktail was excellent and the starter salad delicious too. Highly recommend.

We had dinner there on 30 October and found the steaks very good. The only problem we had was the serving lady that kept on pestering us about the meal. To be asked once if your meal is OK is fine but we had continual questions - was the meat warm etc. It became annoying. To help finish a bottle of good wine we asked if the Marriott could do a cheese plate. It arrived and consisted of 2 different types of cheese squares that you make sandwiches with plus some nuts on the side. Very poor value

Flying out in the morning and decided to have a nice dinner. We stay at the Marriott every time we fly out of LAX. We opted for JW's for dinner and were not disappointed. Service was outstanding. The dinner was excellent and more than met our expectations. We both had the 6 oz filets with the blue cheese and wow, they were fabulous. The wine selection was good and the desserts were wonderful. Just would not have expected this quality in a restaurant. Certainly will dine there on our next trip.

Father's day fell on the second to last day of a 4 week trip with wonderful friends. We chose this restaurant to take our hubbies to honor them on Father's Day. Great choice. The setting was perfect and the food was wonderful. The server was attentive and very professional. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious.

Our final dinner after our trip to the USA, top restaurant with absolutely competent service and hammer fine steaks.Of course this has a price, but we thought that every dollar was worth it here. Absolutely fabulously beautiful decor.

Offerings are pricey but ambiance is a little nicer than the other hotel offerings. Typical meat and fish offerings and not much for vegetarians.

We were tired after a long day of flying, sightseeing and wanted something quick, easy, and close to the hotel, so we chose this restaurant after dropping off our rental car. We were expecting a typical hotel restaurant, but JW's definitely exceeded expectations. The staff was friendly and the food was quite good. My husband had steak, I had scallops, and my niece had pumpkin ravioli. We were all very pleased with the food (although the scallops could have been a tad less salty). Definitely exactly what we were looking for after a long day. Would recommend.

Me and my sister ate in this restaurant for dinner and it was very excellent. I ate the New York Steak with truffle butter and some salt and potato wedges, while my sister ate Spinach Salad and crab cakes. It was very delicious. The staffs were A+ as well. Overall, I want to go back to this steakhouse again.

These ingrates would not seat us because we were not masked ...and we're insulting enough to offer us to get it to go and eat it on the curb ... Like a transient ...I'll never spend another dollar here

My wife tried her best to satisfy my birthday dreams. J&W Fell short. It was suggested as a good high-end restaurant near LAX airport, where we were staying for a night (for strategic reasons: she was flying out early Sunday a.m.; it was my birthday night before). I imagine still that it's the best local (sad) option). We were surprised that the Marriott hotel that contains said restaurant, which appears a bit dilapidated from outside, was as hip on the inside as it didn't appear from the outside! The inside of the hotel presents like a food court experience. And busy! Exciting! Whatever. We already expected high price venue for JW's. For a birthday celebration, that was fine. For convenience (we booked at Marriott Residence Inn, minutes walking down the street), we found it delightful. From a results standpoint, we were quite disappointed. I will not innumerate too much. We both ordered medium rib eye steaks. ~$50 per. We also added sautéed spinach and wild mushrooms. She ordered creamed horse-radish sauce; I ordered wild mushroom sauce (for meat)... Dull stuff at best. Not too tasty for the over-sweet mushroom junk. So, wines were ridiculously priced. A bottle of 2013 Justin 2013 Cabernet at $65 was on way on the cheap end. Things jumped thereafter. The mushrooms tasted like burnt rubber. Yuk. Really icky. We tried every which way to re-flavor (with butter, cooked tomatoes, spinach, whatever). Nothing worked, A waste and disappointment for $9. Very bad. The spinach was boring. $9 for dried-out, fried spinach. Lots of butter might have helped. Fresh garlic? More spinach? Some juice? The steaks were fine, though over-cooked. Medium-cooked meat should have some red, perhaps. Blood. These were pretty well done. But, they were delicious, juicy and tender. Hey, only for $50! Hmm... The desert menu was written long ago, and contained nothing of interest. Cliche. Nothing of interest for a Californian whose birthday was irrelevant. So. An experience. We won't recommend or repeat. Just another sad story of overpriced, mediocre Calilfornia "cuisine."

One of the best hotel based restaurants that I visited. Excellent grill/steaks and friendly service. Location looks quite nice despite the fact that it is part of a hotel complex.

I went to this restaurant for dinner alone because my wife had a migraine in our room upstairs. I enjoyed the quiet ambiance and the menu was quite exhaustive. My waiter, I wish I could remember his name, recommended the swordfish which was done to perfection! He also recommended a local beer from San Francisco which was wonderful too. As my wife was I'll upstairs I asked if I could take something to go for her and he was only too happy to oblige. After my delicious dinner I took her crab cakes which she also enjoyed.

My wife and I have dined at JW's a couple of times as we did single-night stopovers at LAX on the way to other destinations. We had the evening's special the first time, which was a nicely-grilled fish. The last time we shared the lamb chops after starting with the crab cake appetizer. On both occasions the food was outstanding. We also enjoyed an excellent bottle of wine at both dinners based on the recommendation of the water (Agustin). The wine was outstanding and was an excellent accommodation to our meals on both occasions. The service was also excellent--can't say enough about Agustin in terms of his recommendations, his attentiveness, and his great demeanor. The ambiance was also very good, especially for a hotel. We have both remarked a number of times that this restaurant is almost shockingly good when you consider that it is in a hotel Even if it weren't in a hotel, I would still rate it as very good. We look forward to returning to JW's on our next stop in LA and will definitely ask for Agustin as our server.

I had the pleasure of dining at JW while staying at the Marriott. I ate much more food than I should have. I had the fish special which was Sea bass and vegetables. Before dinner the bread basket came with delicious pretzel like breadsticks. But the best part of dinner was the creme brulee delicious and beautiful presentation with. Spun sugar topping. Definitely a good dinner choice.

Can’t say enough about the lobster bisque and the crab cakes, amazing. The dessert was also delicious, the only part not great was the meat portion of our dinner, at a steakhouse. Service was also really good, but hopefully next time the beef will be better.

In the LAX area there are several hotels and hotel restaurants. In my opinion, JW's Steakhouse is the best option in the area if you are seeking a quality meal. Service is excellent, steaks are very good (not elite but very good), and the overall dining experience is positive. Prices are a little high for a hotel restaurant but nothing out of line.

Considering we are staying at the Marriott we thought it would be easier to have dinner at the hotel..We walked into extreme empty dining room at 5:20 PM and order dinner immediately we’re rushing out at 9:00 PM flight. Greeted by our server Elvis, who was incredibles and deliver five star service along with Alexis.. As we’re sitting at the table I noticed a dish under the light. I joke with my fiancé about the plate I know someone was really going to be mad.. I had noticed the dish sitting there for a while, 27 minutes later. The plate was put on a serving tray and headed off to a table, ironically it was our table and it was plate. I have truly lost my mind Elvis appeared at the table immediately. He was already aware of the situation and was visibly upset. Manager came out and comp our meal for the inconvenience and offered dessert, we declined..

I had a friend in town staying at the Marriott, we wanted a steak dinner so we ate at the Steakhouse. It did not disappoint! Steaks were cooked to perfection and service was awesome.

the staff is friendly is a nice hotel i ate the bisque lobster and my cosmopolitan cocktail also grace was caring about what i needed and edis ventura good to accomodate me in a table then darcy from security came to see if i needed something

Steakhouse is a misnomer. The menu is limited, poorly cooked and unimaginative. The prices were way too eye for what you got. I don't mind paying for GOOD food. This was not good food.

I stay at the LAX Marriott regularly and have enjoyed dinner here many times. Let's be clear, if you're local to the area, there are probably many better choices for a steak dinner than heading out to the airport to eat in a hotel. However, for a traveler who may be unfamiliar to the area, or perhaps does not have a rental car to get around, this is an excellent choice for a good meal. Although right off the main lobby, the environment is that of a high-end steakhouse and you feel removed from the hotel. The menu is high end as well and priced like a standalone premium steakhouse, so don't come looking for a budget meal. However, I've always found the service to be excellent, the food of high quality and well prepared; and the wine and cocktail list are also very good. The meal starts with a tasty amuse bouche and very nice bread basket (love those pretzel rolls) and every steak I've had was cooked as ordered, tender and delicious. Enjoy.

I was visiting for a business trip and had a group of 5. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, especially the steak eaters. The steaks were grilled to perfection and flavorful, one commented that it was one of the best steaks he has eaten. I had the scallops which were perfectly prepared, very generous portions.

The restaurant was well lit, great atmosphere and I must say, very well priced. I expected a higher price for the dinners but we were surprised at the menu and what was available.

JW Steakhouse was the best! We were seated at 959pm after a very long flight from Hawaii to LA with three kids. The service was amazing and food was excellent. Even though they were closing, they still took the time to treat our family with extreme hospitality and amazing service. The petite filet was the best I've had and the kids meal teriyaki chicken made all three kids very happy. The mojito was amazing and desserts were to die for! Rarely give this kind of review, but really love to do it when it is deserved. These guys went the extra mile for a weary family of five and made our night!

Stayed literally a 2 minute walk down the road at the Hilton. Ordered the petit fillet, with wild mushrooms, and asparagus on the side. Service was prompt, ingredients were fresh and quality, steak was cooked to order, and the wine excellent. Tidy presentation, calm lighting, relaxing decor, clean utensils, music at a comfortable volume. Staff were knowledgeable, polite, helpful, and friendly. Will surely eat here again on my next visit.

I took my team to have a nice dinner at the JW because it seemed very convenient given the time of day and location. However, I don't believe the food service and food quality warranted the price. It was good but not as good as I would expect from a fine dining restaurant.

We were staying overnight at the nearby Residence Inn, with JW in the Marriott, a short one block walk away. Very good steaks and the usual sides. Amicable professional service; reasonable wine choices. A nice option for traveling stopovers without going far from the series of hotels near LAX on Century Blvd. There's also a nice sports bar immediately adjacent with plenty of TV screens.

We are Bonvoy Members with Marriot, and we went to JW's in Los Angeles for a birthday dinner, beautiful restaurant, great ambiance. We were excited to be there after flying in from a two month stay in Hawaii and our other guest drove 1 1/2 hrs. to meet us for a nice birthday get together as we were flying out in the morning. We were seated by a real grumpy waiter (older Bald guy) from the time we sat down we were treated with disrespect. It was apparent that the waiter judged us by the way we were dressed because he left us sitting there with no attention, 10 min in we asked our waiter for water, and he just turned away with no expression or nod. When he returned, he slammed the glasses on the table expressing his dislike of our presence at his table. We split a meal because we were not that hungry, so we shared appetizers and a steak dinner, we were there for the birthday more than the meal. EVERYTHING he brought to the table he slammed down on the table. His attitude TOTALLY ruined our experience, and we left with no birthday celebration and were forced to go else ware. We were sooooo looking forward to tearing into that desert menu but we felt uncomfortable due to the waiters attitude towards us. To be fare the food was AWESOME and the ambiance was exceptional BUT that waiter was the rudest waiter we have ever had! and yes we still left him a 10% tip (Normally 25-35% tip) and felt that was too much. I doubt I will go back and we stay at the Marriot a lot. FYI, No return phone call from the manager. So here we are!

We spent over $250 for two steaks and two sides with a cocktail and bottle of wine. The steak was good and well prepared, as were the sides (asparagus and garlic mashed potato), but not anything very special. Service was excellent. A decent ssteakhouse but overpriced.

This property is properly listed as $$$$. The atmosphere was upscale as it should be. Augustine was our waiter and he, obviously, has been in the business for some time given the professionalism employed in his service. I ordered wine with my meal and described the taste i would prefer. He brought samples until I was satisfied with the selection. Our visit was more than satisfactory.

I had a fantastic dinner here this week. I had the wedge salad ($12) and petite filet ($39). This was the best wedge salad I've ever had. The presentation was lovely. It was a lot, I couldn't finish it. The steak was cooked to perfection. My server, Genaro, was very attentive. I was surprised that other reviews thought the restaurant was expensive. I felt it was on par with other nice steakhouses in LA. This is not a chain restaurant, the food is locally sourced. I've had dinner here several times, it's one of my favorites in LA.

We never expect a lot at an airport restaurant and we were happily surprised with a fantastic dinner, amazing waitress, and just all around great food . The wine suggestions were excellent & we could not have been more pleased.

Excellent dining experience. Great wait staff. We made reservations though OPEN TABLE. Food was delicious. A little pricey.

First, the staff is just great from the hostess who remembered my name to the waitress from Uraguay to the the other service staff was just great. Authentic and very helpful and patient. The main courses were diverse - between the three of us we had the streak, scallops and the fish special of the day. All were correctly prepared and tasty

We needed a simple straightforward meal and were not disappointed. Wife had the filet, and I had the rack of lamb. The steak was very good and the lamb was truly outstanding — one of the best I ever had. JW’s gets the best prime meats that is for certain. Service was professional and responsive (server was Jose C). This is definitely not a polished fine dining experience, but an efficient commercial hotel encounter without frills. You know, the typical steak joint with chefs behind an open kitchen broiling, baking and heating your entre. It will definitely not earn favor from your critical Michelin inspector, but that is not a criticism. Moderately expensive, but they’re serving top prime meats.

Had a most enjoyable meal at this restaurant located in the LAX Marriott which we chose even though we were staying down the street at the Hyatt Regency. Food and service both excellent.

While it was a bit overpriced, I really think the steak I had at JW's Steakhouse, which is inside the Mariott at LAX, was just as good as some of the steaks I've had at a Morton's or Ruth's Chris. It is definitely cooked the right way--seared in butter and then finished in a super-hot oven, like all good steaks should be cooked. Then I ordered the blue cheese fondue to go with it and oh WOW. I was with a work colleague who also tried it, and then decided he preferred that to his truffle butter because it was just so good. Like I said, it was a bit high in price, but I do think it was worth it. Plus they give you great bread and some wonderful herb butter that had a great mix of tarragon, dill, and lemon. Great job Mariott and JW's!!

Great food and great service! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family who are staying at the Marriott LAX.

Diverse steakhouse menu. Service was very good and food was excellent. I would recommend. Chicken dish is quite good.

I definitely recommend the crab cakes! Two large crab cakes with no filler and perfectly cooked. The filet was perfectly cooked but very small. This is also an expensive restaurant. Ask for Elvis to serve you. He was excellent and made you feel instantly at home with great service.

Restaurant inside the Marriott hotel but also open to external customers like us. We booked through the opentable app and received a high level of service. Prices slightly high but in line with the quality of the dishes. We ate excellent meat and good wine from Napa Valley. Tip including $180 for two people.

Inside the Marriott hotel, we walked from theLAX Hilton to eat here. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the local wines were pricy so we drank Argentinian Malbec which was good. Service (Augustin) was delightful. We were given time to enjoy our food with no pressure to order anything until we were ready.

We had an early flight so we booked into a LAX hotel the night before. As it was our wedding anniversary night, we wanted to enjoy fine dining in the LAX area (walking distance from our hotel). We found it. JW's at the Marriott Airport. Nice atmosphere and great service. We shared the starter - beef carpaccio - excellent. Great cheese and sauce. Filet mignon of course followed. Medium rare was the order and that's how it came - cooked to perfection Good list of wines by the glass. Strolled back to our hotel well fed and relaxed. Perfect way to start an overseas adventure the next day.

Stayed down the road but the quality of the food here made it worthwhile walking the five minutes to the restaurant. Really good steaks, good wine list and excellent service. Thank you again.

We reserved and arrived as a group, received a great table. Our waitress was cognizant that we were on a limited time for break and was able to go through the specials and expedite getting our order rang in. All sides are a'la carte, and pricey, though the asparagus with bearnaise was excellent! Smoky from the grill and perfectly al' dente. I should have been suspicious from the menu, I don't recall a weight being listed for the bone-in Ribeye. It was a little disappointing. Definitely not as marbled as it was hyped, and very much on the thin side. Flavor was mediocre. I jealously eyed my friend's juicy pork chop.

JWs is your classic hotel steakhouse. It does not open until 5:30 (although there's no sign telling you that). Use Opentable to grab a reservation. I had a spinach salad, the petite filet, and chocolate mousse. Everything was really good, but it came to $81. In my view, that's pricey. The service was good, and the server especially friendly. I enjoyed my meal.

Lots of choices and great and attentive service! Everything you could want from a fine steakhouse. Wonderful choice of breads to snack on before. I had the bone in ribeye cooked perfectly to medium rare as ordered. An amazing, huge loaded baked potato and we shared the mac and cheese with bacon. Everything prepared perfectly and presented well by a great staff. Could not recommend more more highly!!

We ate here a couple of times and the standard was consistently high. Mostly steak based but we had the alternatives and had absolutely no complaints.

Dined her on New Year's Eve with friends. The foot was very good. The waiter, Victor, was very attentive to our needs. We had a little mishap while he was delivering some drinks and he ended up (very unnecessarily) providing a bottle of wine for our table. Though on the border of overpriced, it was a great evening!

We visited the restaurant when we stayed at the Marriott before our return flight home. It is located in the lobby. The interior is nice and gives an upscale and spacious impression. The waiter was very friendly and professional. First we had a good Prosecco to celebrate our last night in the US. With the appetizer (I had oysters) I had ordered a glass of white wine. A trainee I guess poured the wine in the empty glass of the prosecco. The waiter noticed it and spontaneously offered a new glass. The steak was cooked as we had asked for and the wines are good and very affordable. Overall, highly recommended when you stay at the Marriott.

Staying at a Courtyard Marriott down the road with no restaurant in-house led us to this Marriott steak house up the road. I'm afraid to say this was a disappointing experience. Expensive steaks poorly presented, tasteless sauce accompaniment, weary waiters not really interested in their job and the ambience of a funeral parlour, possibly not helped by the waiters. I have said many times that 'food' is not the forté of Marriott hotels and this is just another example. Were we there on a particularly dreary night? Possibly but I guess an airport hotel is not the place you would expect to find high end restaurants. If you are looking for calories and a glass of wine you could do worse but if taking the last chance of a wonderful US grain fed steak is your objective I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I was looking for a meal as I awaited my flight out of LAX. I was so immensely pleased to try JW steakhouse. The T-Bone was cooked perfectly and I had a delicious cauliflower purée to accompany it! My waiter Augustin was very attentive and friendly as well. This place is a gem!

We weren't very hungry but chose this restaurant and shared a couple of appetizers for dinner. The caesar salad and crab cakes were delicious.

Had a last minute work meeting at our favorite restaurant never disappoints need quality and good service check them out, brings your loved ones for a great meal!

We've been to JW's about half a dozen times over the past few years as we've traveled through LAX to other places. The experience has been perfect on every one of those visits--atmosphere, service, food, and wine have all been superlative. I highly recommend the crab cakes as an appetizer, and be sure to check out whatever their market fish special is. If you like lamb, it's also very good. We've gotten excellent recommendations from the staff with respect to wine. In fact, the staff has been outstanding on every occasion. If you want to eat there, when you call to reserve a table ask if you can be seated at one being served by Agustin--he's amazing (and can give some outstanding wine recommendations). Looking forward to going back again!

The JW Steakhouse is located inside the Marriott hotel near LAX. We did not stay at the Marriott, but walked there from the Hyatt Regency for our last dinner in LA. Great choice, in particular as there are not many options in the area! Exceptionally friendly staff and great food! We had the filet mignon and a rib eye and both steaks were very very good. If you are staying at one of the LAX airport hotels, don't have a car and want a good steak, this is the place.

Excellent food, excellent wine and superb service. I am a bit sceptical about restaurants in chain hotels. But this restaurant at the JW Marriott by LAX surpassed all my expectations. I would have gone there again for a second time, but our budget didn't allow us to. Yes, it is expensive, but very much worth it. Ask for Willie to wait - he made a BIG difference.

Delicious food and elegant dining. We had steak, salmon, chicken and Caesar salad. The waiter Augustine was friendly and professional. The bread was delicious as was the chocolate cake for desert. A little pricey but you only live once so may as well enjoy yourselves while on vacation if you can.

Had a meeting with a friend from overseas and was looking for a hotel with a nice restaurant and found the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel and Super Glad I did! Close to the airport for a fly in and fly out meeting and with a Nice steakhouse located in the lobby = WIN WIN! Being a chef, picking the restaurant and asked what to get can sometimes be hit or miss, but not this time! Service Super good, LISA was on top of us the whole night (in a good way). Super attentive and knew the menu forward to back. If you go eat at the JW's make sure to have Lisa as your server. The rest of the crew always looking out for our needs. Lobster Bisque and fresh bread was a great start to a super tasty night! Of course when Bone in Ribeye is on the Menu the answer is Med-Rare! Seared to perfection and super tasty. A must try when in the JW's. Filet with signature Crab Oscar over Asparagus! Ok the fillet was great, but the side stole the show! Super good Crab Oscar. Now if there is something that is a MUST try is the Lobster Twice Baked Potato...Absolutely Fantastic! Huge baked potato loaded (when I say loaded I mean LOADED) with Lobster, Bacon, Cheese, Garlic Butter, Green Onion and Sour Cream. One of the Best Creations I have ever had! JW’s Steakhouse Restaurant is an AMAZING restaurant that anyone traveling through LAX and looking for a super good spot to eat should try. The Service (thanks again Lisa), the Chef’s and Food makes this Steakhouse stand out from the rest, in any hotel. ~ Chef Greg Reilly - On The Road Eats - Chef Approved

Had a late dinner with a large group for our business meeting here. The food was amazing - everything was cooked perfectly with delicious flavors. Server was great, friendly and efficient. Looking forward to eating here again next time we are in town!

Good meal and nice wine menu, hard to believe you are in an airport restaurant. Quality steaks and sides

I didn't expect any vegan options at the fine steakhouse so i wasn't surprised when none we available. I had the salt crusted baked potato with a side of marinara sauce. Wonderful. I added a side of roasted mushrooms and a side of local veggies that included yellow beets, red pepper and squash. Both cooked in olive oil not butter. This vegan meal was tasty and satisfying. The server was excellent

The Steak and Lobster was excellent and the key lime cheesecake was superb. I will go here again for sure

crab cakes : top ! - meat : cooked to perfection , tasty . atmosphere : fancy and quiet . service : efficient and classy

Most airport hotel restaurants are blasé at best and bad at worst. The JW Steakhouse at LAX actually serves excellent steaks with all the accoutrements. Be sure to call ahead for a reservation -- they sometimes back up.

Outstandingly delicious, perfectly cooked steak, cooked on the bone and served with a side of shoestring fries ticked all of the boxes at JW Steakhouse. Loved the layout of the restaurant which was warm and inviting, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was casual. The pricing is expected in line the quality and I had no issues paying $100 for a main, dessert and a beer. I’d definitely come again if stopping at LAX.

inside marriott hotel. dark ambiance. I had to use my phone light to read the menu. great portions, great choices, but make sure you are ready to spend $$$.

When searching for 5 star eateries, you never know where you’ll find one. When you think of airport hotels, normally one thinks of travelers in a hurry and people who are too busy for quality food. But that’s not the case with the JW Steakhouse inside the LAX Marriott. Simply put, this well planned menu and top notch culinary cooking rivals any steakhouse in the entire city of Los Angeles. It’s worth driving out to the airport and braving the traffic for this steak! The service is exemplary and extremely attentive. The dining room is small but comfortable. The meals are prepared fast and accurately. The steak is cooked in an open kitchen. All meals come with a bread bowl with sourdough and pretzel bread. We had the T-bone steak and the rack of lamb. Both were seasoned to perfection. Make sure to order dessert.

Steak were great but NOT inexpensive. Potato or veggie or salad all extra at $8 plus. Waiter was aloof and condescending. Lovely Filet, grilled perfectly.

We really enjoyed our first visit here a couple of years ago. This time not so much. Ceasar salad was weak, too acidic lacked flavor. Couldn’t even taste any garlic. I loved my rack of lamb, it was delicious. My wife’s ribeye was flavorless and seemed like it was almost baked. No sear or grill marks. Very disappointed compared to our first visit and the restaurant pricing is comparable to the best chain steakhouses like Ruth’s Chris, Morton’s, etc.

The best policy regarding airport restaurants can usually be summed up in one word: “Run!” JW in the LAX Marriott turned out to be a welcome exception. Stranded by a Minneapolis blizzard, I was treated to excellent service, nice wine choices, and a 1” thick piece of swordfish that was moist, tender, the best I, as a fish lover, have ever had. The down side? Airport level prices. Still, if I still lived in LA, I would add this to my high-level restaurant options.
You will regret going here
Really poor server named Grace. Very slow, largely effective, didn’t stop back and see how our meal was. My boneless ribeye at $60 was as tough as shoe leather. Overall service poor, overall quality food poor. My wife said her fillet was passable and that’s the best we can say. Get a sandwich somewhere instead.
