This bakers is delicious, as it should be. We had flaky croissants and apple turnovers that fell apart in your mouth. ..as they should!

Open, clean, and cute with a nice selection of delicious looking French pastries and bread. Get a cup of coffee, a croissant, a crepe, or a sandwich and enjoy the décor. Prices are about what you'd expect for a little neighborhood bakery and the service is great.

We had croissants, lemon, and chocolate tarts here and they were fantastic. Beautiful to look at perfect pastry and delicious to eat. A gem of a place, pricey but worth it IMO.

THE best French pastries and coffee in Phila! Bastien, the French chef from Paris has chosen Philly as his home and boy are we lucky. I live across the street and love coming here for my getaway afternoon treat. Everything is unique, beautifully presented and tastes amAAAAAzing!! Thank you, everyone at J'aime for making my day and for choosing Philly as your home. We love the fact that you came here, of all places. I want the world to know how special this little gem is. Go find it, it is on 12th near Locust! Cheers and Happy 2019 to the staff at J'aime!

We are always on the lookout for a good French patisserie both in the suburbs and center city...finally found another one. They have an outstanding croissant, plain and chocolate that is flaky and with soft buttery insides. Blueberry Galette is my favorite, sweet caramelized blueberry but with a slight lemon tartness. Crust is just perfect that pairs well with the blueberry...definitely, we will be back for more.

A friend brought me some different pastries from this shop. And oh so good.l, I am still licking my fingers. Why are you not on uber eats? Do you delivery?

I live nearby and discovered this place shortly before they opened. They gave me a complimentary croissant to whet my palate, and I've been a loyal visitor ever since. I generally pick up baguettes here on the weekend, but I've also had numerous pastries, coffee, tea, etc. over the years. This neighborhood gem is divine, between the decor to the quality of the baguettes, croissants, European hot chocolate, or delicious desserts and pastries. I've yet to be disappointed. Many of my neighbors feel the same and we love to visit, sometimes together. My one neighbor will bring me treats from here, and vice versa. Everyone I've brought here has also loved it. It's just a lovely, lovely place! Please help keep this place in business! The pandemic has been rough on them. You can also purchase Bonne Maman preserves here. Are they slightly more expensive than WalMart or some other megacorporation's pricing? Yes, but who cares? Help support this wonderful small business with the great staff!

Walking through the Philadelphia, I have seen many places to sit where to eat or to drink a cup of tea or coffee. Quite pretty places with that charm which helps you to feel yourself calm and where you can sit and think for a while, looking on people outside on the street and in that cafe. This small modern 'a-la french' cafe is one of that places. Center of the city, friendly staff, who are creative to make tips like a game for 2 cashiers (whose jug will be filled with coins faster :) ). Tasty cakes, tasty coffee with good choice. Cost is little bit higher that normal, but is OK. Not so much place/tables, but not so bad. Recommend that place.

C'est si bon to welcome this authentic sleek patisserie & its gracious Francophone staff to the neighborhood! Along with an array of lattes, etc., the varied fresh pastries, such as a thinly sliced orange tart, are divine & the extra long crusty baguettes (for only $3.50) freshly baked every day.

Cute bakery with plenty of space to sit on weekends for breakfast/coffee. Delicious Quiches and croissants. Definitely recommend it.

J'aime bakery serves a delicious array of pastries, bread, and coffee. The interior is sleek and rustic chic. Whatever playlist they play is incredible. They offer free Wifi. The two women working behind the counter were very kind and patient. (I am sure they are used to people butchering the french names of all the food!) They offer discounts for reviewing them on Google and Yelp. I thought the food was very reasonably priced. I will probably pop in here again before my visit in Philadelphia is over.

I stopped for a pick-me-up. The place was clean and bright. The chocolate croissant was to die for. They serve LaColombe and have quite an assortment of French pastries from which to choose.

We had a delicious breakfast at J’aime Bakery. The coffee is excellent and the pastries are divine. I had a hazelnut croissant and my honey had a quiche Lorraine. Perfect stop for a bit of breakfast.

There is a certain market niche for French cuisine in America. As a result, it can be highly competitive. We stumbled on J'aime French Bakery by accident and have been there several times. My planning was bad as we often went there for an after lunch coffee. Last time, I was hungry and savored an almond croissant. Simply, as I said above, it is a cut above (identifiable) very good competition. The owner trained for pastry/baking and it shows.

This place is Awesome, all around great food . Super staff and great pastry. Only wish like many other coffee shops they use light cream. Don’t walk by you will not be disappointed.

Oh man - I just wish I'd been able to go more than once. We bought a variety of pastries and they were all delicious. Cute bistro seating as well as take-away service. Terrific bakery and coffee shop!

This is a beautiful sparkling clean little spot with delicious pastries. The service was friendly and helpful. I came for lunch and tried the quiche and salad. The quiche was delicious (mushroom and spinach), the flavor and texture were perfect and the crust was tender and flaky. Perfect for a light lunch. I ordered the chocolate tartlet to take home with me. Again the perfect tender and flaky crust filled with rich creamy chocolate ganache. I am looking forward to my next visit to Philly so I can try some other treats.

My partner and I frequently stop here while walking around Center City on the weekend. It's a great place to just chill for a bit.. Service is always awesome, and the music played is always fun! If you are sick of the "other" chain coffee shops, give this one a try.. you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely delicious, we will come back the next we are in Philly. The hazelnut croissant was everyone’s favorite. The coffee was good too.

We’ve stopped in to J’aime a couple of times on trips to Philly and love it every time. The pasties are as good as you’d get in France. Unpretentious but good. Convenient to anything in Center city.

What a lovely place. We had a great little brunch. The pastry in the spinach salmon quiche was perfect and the entire plate with salad and unique tomato vinaigrette was delicious. The pain chocolate also good and my (2!) cappuccinos were fab. Lovely atmosphere. Will return.

A lovely little corner of France, right in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. Amazing LaColombe coffee, and the pièce de résistance the pastries! Our particular favorite is the chouquette with whipped cream (so much lighter than an ordinary cream puff), but our daughter is loving the crepes.

Love the crapes, éclair and the French bread. The hot chocolate is by far the best we've ever had. Always stop in for breakfast when we're in the city.

these pastries are outstanding. fresh and so delicious. when in Philadelphia center city i always go there. only a few tables inside so sometimes have to bring it back to hotel.

Quaint and pleasant little piece of France In Philadelphia…well curated bakery items and great coffee! Will look forward to visiting again .

This small but beatiful bakery makes excellent croissants, crepes and sandviches. Very friendlystaff and good atmosphere

Walking by we came upon this cute little bakery. We stopped in for a tea and croissant - both very good. The goods in the bakery case looked delicious. Next time we are in Philly I plan to return for lunch and to try the beautiful looking quiche.

Am in love with the lemon tart, the madeleines, the napoleon and the marveiux. Everything is fresh, french and over the top sinful, run don't walk and then you can have two desserts.

Found this place while looking for a place for breakfast around 10 am on a Saturday. It was February so the front window were not open. It is very clean and bright inside which in turn makes you feel like you are in a special place. The pastries looked very appealing but I didn't have one. Instead I opted for the quiche with side salad and a coffee. The quiche was the right size for me for breakfast. It had a nice flaky crust and a just right amount of egg filling. Salad for breakfast is not really my thing but I ate a few bites of it and the balsamic dressing was very good. The service was quick for us and our was delivered to our table quickly. The whole time we were in the restaurant the tables were full and there was a small line to order.

We had one morning, not everyday, but one morning to have Breakfast. While the service was fine, the coffee, we stupidly ordered Americanos, was black water which we left there and I requested a double espresso which was equally not good explaining why the Americano was no good. We ordered Crepes which were nothing like the Crepes we have in Europe and certainly not close to what we've had in France. An all around poor experience on our "one morning" in Philly for breakfast. Just because the Chef is French does not mean the experience will be French.

Small and intimate place for level breakfasts. Counter service and few places to stay but it deserves a ride to test the internal production of sweets and pastries accompanied by a great coffee, even if the portions are slightly reduced and this is a bit of a flaw. A European-inspired bakery in the heart of Philadelphia curated with care and taste.

J'aime provides high quality authentic French pastries and cakes, as well as excellent coffee. I just wish it extended its opening hours more into late afternoon and even evenings. It's as if the cafe culture disappeared after the pandemic. There is no reason not to return fully to normality and to "Europeanize" the local culture.

Stumbled upon this place on the way to our car. Brew coffee was good, a little burnt in my opinion. The pain au chocolat was perfectly made. Order it!

Lovely little spot! Great pastries and the coffee choices are fabulous. Staff is wonderful. Nice spots to sit, relax and watch the city adventures. Highly recommended.

Walking by to go to another restaurant n saw this place. Stopped in to c if the offerings really look French. They did so I went back got a plain croissant n an americano. Both were excellent. Staff very friendly as well. Wish I could have spoken to the chief but hopefully when I’m back in town I’ll have a chance to stop by there again n try other items.

Like walking into Paris ! The croissants are amazing as well as many other bakery sweets . They also have quiche which was excellent ! Went back three days in a row for their Latte and Croissant. Also purchased quiche for lunch which comes with a nice little side salad. Have been in town for a few weeks trying many of the coffee shop bakeries this is my favorite ! Bon appétit

Offers freshly made classic French pastries - freshly baked throughout the day. Perfectly baked - not too sweet, not too rich or buttery, not Americanized but original French and perfectly right. Surprise: small tea costs $ 3.50, large tea costs $ 4.75. Both contain same amount of tea, i.e. 1 (one) teabag. J'Aime selling warm water for $ 1.25 per cup? When asking for a 2nd teabag for my large tea (2 cup), it was offered it at an additional 1/2 the price. Again, not American way but French!?

This place is a hidden gem. We had breakfast there all day during our stay. Everything was really delicious and well made:the baguette, the chocolate eclair -which has chocolate mousse filling, the croissants and the divine olive oil cake.

Best place for a pâtisserie and great coffee. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great and the croissants are to die for. I highly recommend !

I am so glad I found this place that reminds me of Home so much. The Chef Bastien and his team deliver a unique French experience. The croissant, chouquette, and the berry tart are delicious. We also tried the mushroom and spinach quiche and the salmon sandwich. We will definitely be back to try the rest! As a French person, I absolutely recommend this place!

I saw this little café walking around Philadelphia and decided to come in and have some of their pastries, and they were really good! It's a cute little place and they place is comfortable for you to sit down and enjoy.

Stumbled upon this little gem while staying at a nearby Airbnb while in Philly for a business trip. Was looking for convenient spot for a breakfast meeting and found it on Yelp. It is a lovely bakery - airy, bright and cozy. Perfect for meeting up and quiet enough for a meeting. Outdoor seating available. The pastries were good (had almond croissant and Nutella crepe) and there was ample selection. Would definitely return if back in area.

We went to this cute little bakery & cafe serving French pastries, sandwiches, crepes & coffee for breakfast. We got there quite early in the morning, there were few people who were getting things to go, instead of dining in, which gave us all the seating options. They had some tables right at the entrance, and then more seating in the back. The cafe is located on the corner lot, so it had lots of windows on the front and the side, bringing in bright natural light. Right at the entrance, they had some bread and baked goods, such as croissant, apple turnover, and raisin roll. On the side, they had lots of sweets such as macarons, tartlet, and éclairs. They also had some quiche as well. Since we were there super early, the pasty chef was still working on some items. We started off with a couple of pastries and cups of coffee. I got a small Latte, and it was really small… They ground coffee beans at the time of order, which is great. The coffee was quite good, I wish if the mug was a bit bigger, even though I did order small. My hubby ordered a Cappuccino, they didn’t have any choice of size, it came in a mug that is similar to the latte mug, but a bit shorter and wider. They were tasty coffees, again, just really small... We had Sugared Chouquette, Napoleon, French Jam Crêpe and Paris Philadelphia. They were all very tasty, high quality and oh-so-satisfying. It was a fun and tasty visit. The service was ok, not overly friendly but efficient. Their sweets were elegant and sophisticated, we enjoyed them all.

We were attracted to this clean and bright place on the way. The croissant was flaky outside and soft inside. The Paris Philadelphia was not intensely sweet and the smell of the roasted almond on the top worked beautifully with the cream inside. Very delicious!

As often as we visit Philadelphia we enjoy the French croissants and other treats. Excellent. If you close your eyes the tastes may make you think you are in Paris.
Way over priced, all pastries are precious
This is a new cafe with upscale longing. NIce location, several similar cafes in this location have come and went. But this French place with its 5.00 croissants just took me back. No way can you have coffee and a pastry for under $10.
