Went with friends for dinner after a day of wine tasting. Our companions had been there before. We were visiting for the first time. My wife and I started with lettuce wraps. The chicken filling was generous and very good though it could use a bit more zing. Easily enough to share and adequate for a meal even when shared by smaller eaters. Other appetizers were dumplings which were good and included six or eight dumplings, and very good egg rolls ( 2 per order). Mains were Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Rainbow chicken, Shredded Pork and Noodles, and Pork Ribs. All were deemed good to very good.servings ranged from large to monstrous. My wife ate about a third of her Shredded Pork. Plan to take food home. Overall the food is very good and close to spectacular. An order of fried rice was the star. The food we had would generally benefit from a bit more intensity. Biggest negative was some dishes were rather salty. Recommended.

Best quality food in the area. Wonderful food and very attentive service. Have been here several times and will definitely come back again.

Been twice and I can't rave enough. They don't advertise. It's only word of mouth. I hope they are here to stay. Worth the drive from South Austin.

Came here to celebrate Chinese New Year so was a very busy Sunday afternoon but thankfully we didn't have to wait too long for a table as we got the last one. Have been to Jade before and we found it to be very good then but this time, average. Bit disappointed with the entrees we had: combination pan fried noodles, soup dumplings and salt & pepper shrimp. Too much seasoning. Maybe an off day for the kitchen or for us. The staff was a bit harried with the amount of people waited on. Will give them another try.

I was tentatively excited when Jade opened up - a Chinese restaurant in walking distance....seemed too good to be true. Well, it's true - and good! We have tried about 40% of the menu items and have yet to be disappointed. Favorites are the mongolian beef, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour & sesame chicken, scallion pancakes and soup dumplings. I would give 5 stars if add ons / extras were a little more modestly priced. However, that's the only reason.

Jade opened last summer in the Davenport Village shopping center and has become our ‘go to’ restaurant for Chinese food. It is head and shoulders over all other suburban places we have tried. The hot and sour soup is perfect, the Peking duck nicely done (although we don’t like the buns that they serve instead of the traditional pancake), the Kung Pao chicken excellent as well. We space is comfortable and tables are nicely space.

wonderful waitstaff service. the dim sum selections were amazing . the decor was beautiful . this is a very family friendly restaurant and welcomes business travelers as well. ample free parking available. great wine selection.

Went on a sunday afternoon for dim sum and it was great. Quite a variety and great service. Apparently it is owned by the same people that own the fortune restaurant. The sechuan dumplings were my favorite.

Our extended family of seven set reservations at 12:45 at Jade restaurant, which is located on the 2nd floor of the building nearest Westlake Blvd in the Davenport Village shops complex. It's been opened for 5 months, so still relatively new and we had been trying to plan an outing to sample their dim sum ... which was fantastic for all the standards! There are a couple of OK dim sum places in the Westlake and Lakeway area and Jade beats both hands down! While they do not have cart service ... every item brought to the table was freshly steamed and piping hot! It was also super fresh! For us, instead of driving 30 minutes up north and waiting for seating ... we can definitely get our dim sum fix with the trade-off of variety for the close proximity and the quality of standard comfort dim sum. Jade had very authentic Cantonese dishes: Chicken Bun, Steamed BBQ Pork buns, Shrimp & Pork Siu Mai, Shanghai Soup dumplings and Deep Fried Turnovers. All were excellent! Their Szechuan pork wontons, Chinese broccoli, beef noodle and wonton noodle soups, shrimp & leek dumplings, and shrimp har gow were also very good. And their desserts, the egg custard and fried sesame balls were really big hits ... in fact the sesame balls were probably the best I've had in all of Austin! Kudos to the chef!! There was one miss: don't order the scallion pancake. Now, we don't put this on the chef, since he's clearly a master of Cantonese dim sum, and scallion (or green onion) pancakes are not Cantonese! There is a nice bar area and a large screen TV at the bar ... I'm writing this in because I can see myself just dropping in on Sundays when I'm by myself to enjoy a bit of sports and a lot of comfort food dim sum!!

First off, Jade has been open less than a year. It takes time to climb the Trip Advisor charts, but I’m convinced Jade will be at the top very soon. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant are excellent. On a hot summer day, the crisp cool air in the restaurant hits you right away upon entering the restaurant. Everyone was friendly and team work was in high gear. We were attended to by pretty much every employee, including the manager. He was walking by and noticed that I was stirring my iced tea with a chop stick (I have no shame). Without asking, he disappeared into the kitchen and reappeared with two teaspoons. It actually says a lot about the level of service, and the service culture of the restaurant. The food...was spectacular. The hot and sour soup was probably the best I’ve ever had. No kidding. I nearly licked the bowl. I had the General TSO chicken and my wife had the King Pow chicken. The General TSO was incredible. Lightly battered, flaky and fork tender. The sauce perfectly light and savory at the same time. The King Pao was also incredible. A perfect mix of vegetables, peanuts and chicken. Spicy, but not overbearing. Two entrees with rice, two cups of soup, two iced teas, and an order of fried won tons for under $29. Both plates were amply served lunch portions.

We visited the day after their grand opening for Dim Sum during lunch. The Dim Sum selection is quite good, in fact, I'm pretty sure the menu was influenced by the participation of some of the staff from the now out of business T & S since we recognized some of the folks from there. The Dim Sum was quite good and the service was as well. They only had two carts going but it seemed to work with many items being carried around as well. There were a few things missing that I'll mention in the hope they add them. Salt and Pepper Fried Shrimp were not available on the day of our visit and neither was the long flat noodle filled with shrimp with a nice sauce poured over it. As noted in the other review, Westlake is hard on restaurants, I hope these guys figure it out quick since the food is quite nice.

I visited Jade restaurant again this trip. It’s still phenomenal. Across the board. PHENOMENAL!!!! Service, food, drinks, soup, It’s ALL good. Highly recommend.

We go there once or twice a week for lunch. The food is very tasty, vary diverse and generously served. The service is fast and courteous. In the evening, they have another menu with a broader selection and a nice wine cellar. Worth trying! They are at Davenport Village, next BB&T.

I've been 3 times since they opened. The second time, my husband and I were a little disappointed as some of the food was cold. They were very apologetic. The third time, they have stopped using the traditional dim sum carts and it's only ordering off the menu. The food was average, not nearly as good as before. Was disappointed as I was excited to have a good dim sum restaurant in Austin. Now it's not worth the trip.

Stopped by Jade on a recent trip to Austin. Found it to be simply Outstanding!! Had Beef & Asparagus, Sweet Sour Shrimp, Thai Basil Shrimp, Fried Rice and Egg drop soup. Service was great and food arrived smoking hot. Fresh and perfectly seasoned. We were one of the first in the door when they opened. I would advise getting there early because a large line forms soon after opening. We will be back soon, No Question!!

Uber Eats delivery. Great food! Vietnamese Shaken Beef - large portion, tender meat, nicely seasoned with a touch of pepper. Shrimp Hargow - yum! Solid, tasty wonton soup. Salt and Pepper shrimp didn’t travel well, a bit soggy, but very tasty and good size shrimp. I will get delivery from here again …

Really disappointed with restaurant. I went to bathroom and was shocked to see so much junk crowding hallway that leads to bathroom. The food was okay. We had been looking forward to eating here for a while but we left very disappointed.

First of all, excellent menu. No improvement seems possible. Duck is top class on a global experience. The whole menu was well received by our large family gathering..Those that enjoy real Chinese food will enjoy this restaurant, Chinese, not your typical American Chinese food, Food and pricing unbeatable..So we will return . With this positive comment, some improvement to help survival and prosperity. The beer selection is good with Asian beers, but is cries out for an Asian beer on tap. We really looked for that. Not there ..Long term blossoming of this restaurant would look much better with this .. Wine selection needs a few lower cost chards and Cabs..Lowest prices are well over $50. There are cheaper wines, but not Cabs /Chards. So if you want a wine bottle this is an expensive place. Very expensive. Check the wine list pricing. Finally, our waitperson ''barked'' at the table..We were a large group, previous Asian residents. Seemed to get lectured and yelled at as a table. A quiet word with the host would have been much more appropriate. For the record, waitperson showed displeasure as we looked at the check. We as a family always check our check, and a bottle of wine we had was missing from our bill. We reported that and got it fixed so we paid the full and correct amount. But the attitude to our bill analysis prior to that was not appropriate. This restaurant has huge potential based on food, quality and pricing. To grow in Westlake it probably need a softer waitpersons, a beer on tap, and a more moderate wine price on the wine list for stock in trade wines . Oh and if you go for a family dinner and there are TV's playing on all the walls. Restaurant or sports bar?? Decide In a year this will adapt and be incredibly busy, or not, and disappear as the three previous restaurants at this location have

Always convenient, Jade generally delivers good food each time we go. This time was different, we had the pot stickers, which were good and chicken on crispy noodles, which was very disappointing, tasted like glue with mushy chicken. We left disappointed.

Hostess: We had a party of 9 dining on a Sunday evening for dinner. The hostess was able to accommodate our large party with no reservation. We were served water immediately and our hostess was very good about returning quickly to take our orders. She was busy working a lot of tables and was able to refill our waters and see if we needed any additional items. Interior: This is a pretty restaurant with wine bottles on display. There is a sushi bar in the main part of the restaurant. Food: The menu is quite eclectic array of Asian cuisines. We ordered Black Peppercorn Beef, Shredded Pork Pan Fried Noodle, and Shanghai pork soup dumplings. The entire table was provided with a bucket of rice to share. We requested that the black peppercorn beef to be served extra spicy. The beef had onions, peppers, jalapeno slices, and green onions. It had a nice flavor. The beef was of good quality and the crunch of the vegetables made the dish has good texture. The portion was very generous. The shredded pork pan fried noodle dish was bland. The texture of the noodles at first were nice and crunchy, but they got soggy very quick. The sauce had too much cornstarch and was goopy. The shredded pork concerned me, some bites of the dish tasted like shrimp, then chicken. I added some of hot sauce from the Shanghai pork soup dumplings to the shredded pork, but it did not help. The Shanghai pork soup dumplings had no flavor. If you want authentic Chinese food, this is not the place. Bathrooms: very clean

Uber Eats delivery last night for my wife and me. Ended up with enough food for 4 or more meals. The wonton soup had six or seven tasty wontons, lots of pork, and great flavor. Combo fried rice was very large portion and delicious. Loved the shrimp on lobster sauce. Shaken beef tasty too. Salt and pepper fish was okay, a bit too much breading/outer covering - which overpowered the fish. Pork and shrimp shumai very good too. Good value in my opinion.

Jade has a nice look and vibe but doesn’t deliver on food. Food: (1) Black Pepper Corn Beef- decent flavors with fresh bell peppers and onions. This dish was above average. (2) Shredded Pock Pan Fried Noodle- horrible. The pork had been cross-contaminated with shrimp, and the sauce tasted like it was from a bottle. (3) Pork steamed dumpling – horrible. Frozen dumplings fromH-Mart beat these 100% Service: Decent service. Overall cleanliness: above average Bathroom cleanliness: average Ambiance: nice ambiance, floor to ceiling wine rack in back room is a nice touch

This is a great destination for a desire of good chinese food. I cannot speak about the authenticite, but everything I ever had there tasted fresh and delicious, priced reasonably and the atmosphere of the place is nice as well as i was always happy with the service. I often pick singapore vermicelli noodles but I haven't had a miss there. Recommended, for us a great lunch destination

Ordered through Grubhub on a whim and I will certainly now go into the restaurant to eat in the future. The Pot Stickers were so good! My friend had Szechuan Beef and said it was spicy good. I had Shimp Lo Mein and it was perfection. We will definitely go back!
delicious food, great service
loved the dim sum and green tea. great service, free parking. everything i ordered was very delicious and was served in a timely manner. the waitstaff was knowledgeable and checked on our table several times during our meal.
