Loved the experience. Tasty food , peaceful atmosphere and great service. Panang Curry and Mongolian Beef were both great.

This restaurant started very small and is now considerably larger. I was worried that the standards had fallen but once the food arrived, we dug into our many dishes and were not disappointed in any way. Even standard dishes like Penang curry and satay had an extra depth of flavor that other restaurants lack. We ordered kap lau gai Kai dao from the part of the menu labeled "adventurous" and this concoction of ground chicken, chilli, egg and rice was amazing! Service was friendly and fast.

Ba Mee was awesome. Wait staff was very good. Thanks for the experience. We will be back next time we are in Seattle. Next time Tai fu chin

Sunday evening dinner with family. This establishment does a vigorous take out business. It has a few tables without much attention to the surroundings. The quality of the Thai food is excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for great quality Thai dinner for take out or you don't really care about an intimate experience you will be well satisfied here.

It's been a while since I visited Jai Thai. I don't remember anything particularly great or not great about it. It was decent Thai food. And they do pretty well with their vegan fare. I would eat there again.

Best Thai, Ever. I always eat here when I visit Seattle. Order the Drunken Noodle for sure. Curry is delicious, Cashew chicken, deep fried whole tilapia: all so good.

Decent Thai food. Not terribly memorable.

This is the second time I come to this restaurant and the food is great. There s a good selection of food from spicy to not spicy. Good service

Went there for lunch. We were able to have a table with pillows for chairs. Our daughter enjoyed that. Excellent food and wonderful service. Would definitely return here again.

Went to Jai Thai with a group. The place was packed, but they seated us easily. I had the Phad Talay. Service was immediate and without hassles. My Phad came steaming to the table. Tasted great and was plentiful. When individual bills were asked for all 7 of us, there was no faltering. Can't ask for more!!

Jai Thai has my favorite - "Swimming Rama," chicken and spinach topped with peanut sauce and a side of either brown or white rice. Also able to order the degree of spice you'd like. This is my favorite thai dish - and so good here. The servings are large - enough to eat and take home a bit for later. Service is fast and the prices are very reasonable. Will go back next time I visit Seattle.

We have eaten here on several trips to Seattle (to visit our daughter who attends college here). Always have a wonderful meal...and everyone wants to take home the leftovers!

This has been a fave for many years. Love their lettuce wraps-you can make your own and have it any way you want with or without peanuts and hot chili.

Decent Thai dinner. Service was extremely slow with only 4 other tables and a appetizer mixup. Entrees were all tasty and a nicely decorated interior made it a good dinner.

This was a fantastic authentic Thai experience in terms of taste and service. It was a little pricey but compared to other Seattle Thai restaurants it was pretty reasonable . My favourite was the Massaman Curry.

I eat here about twice a month. It is my favorite thai food around. It isn't the most inexpensive ($12-$15) a plate, but I will continue eating here until I grow old.

Nice place with good service. The food is good and very well priced. Lots of interestingly served vegetables. The Orange Duck is my favorite and very affordable.

The best

We had to ask to be moved, as the first table where we were placed would have meant we were right where people needed to pass. Food was okay, but even the second seating option was noisy and high traffic.

In the heart of Ballard is the gem, Jai Thai I've been there many times, and everything I've ever tried, or shared, has been excellent. I used to live in Thailand, and I'm picky about Thai restaurants. These are real authentic Thai people, serving fantastic food. I'll be there next week!

Thai basil chicken and green curry were both excellent. A little pricey but worth it. Food arrived very quickly and the service was good.

I live in the LA so I get to eat at a lot of good restaurants, including Thai. I'd put this up there as the best Thai I've ever had. We had the hot and sour soup, Country Style Pad Thai and Seafood salad. I went with the mild on all three and it was the perfect amount of spice. I'm still thinking about that soup! Can't wait to go back when I'm in town again.

Great Thai food, well Cooke and spiced. My friend likes it hot and ordered 4 on the 5 point spicy scale and it was almost too hot for her. Try level 2 where you can taste the food and enjoy the spice. They handled a big crowd very well.

Jai Thai has been around for years, and is dependable but not incredible. The decor is nice but the food doesn't seem to match the effort put into the interior decorating. Seattle is awash in really good thai food so a little extra investigation might yield better results...

Service was very fast, food was delicious! We had a wide sample of four different entrees, Pad Thai, Ginger Chicken, Yellow Curry and a seafood dish...all of them were very good! We sat in the window and enjoyed watching people wander by in the rain. Would probably become a regular here if we lived nearby!

Four words - don't miss this one! Although the location and the business of the neighborhood in which it's located made it sketchy for parking; we found a spot to parallel park a couple of blocks away on a residential street. I'm glad we did! We were a party of six. Everything was delicious. The restaurant seemed clean, the wait staff friendly and the service was quick. I ordered something I'd not tried before, the Pumpkin curry. With tofu. It was sooo good! These folks know how to cook pumpkin. Not terribly expensive. A fun evening for all.

Very tasty Pumpkin and veg Thai red curry with coconut milk. You can choose how spicy you would like it, fresh veg and lovely teas! Amazing Vietnamese rolls too Great service, nothing was a problem. Will be returning for sure!

We just happened upon this restaurant, which made it even better. I'm not a fan of really spicy food but this was perfect. It makes my mouth water just thinking of it. There were 5 of us and we ordered 4 different dishes, all of which were delicious. They started by immediately giving us a fresh green salad with warm peanut dressing. We even tried Black Pudding, which was different but good. We went at lunch time and were able to walk right in. However, my guess is that this is a trendy place and we were lucky to get a table. One of the best dishes on our trip!

This was a reassuring choice for us while exploring Fremont -- meeting our COVID security needs as well as the promise of vegan and vegetarian choices. The food was above-average Thai -- not exceptional or different. We really appreciated the distanced tables and hygiene measures

Came in with a large group (10 people) which was easily accommodated with split checks, one drink never arrived but no reminder was given. I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere. There are some neat places to sit on the floor with fancy pillows and a low table, lots of nice traditional Thai carvings and decoration throughout. The food ranged from pretty bad to pretty good. I had the "country style" pad thai which was pretty good, it was a little saucier than I am used to but the tangy tamarind taste I was hoping for was there. I ordered it one less than spiciest which was not very spicy at all to my tastes. This was easily fixed with some extra ground Thai peppers that came out with the extra fish sauce that I requested. I tasted a few of the other things that were ordered around the table, here are my impressions of those: cashew chicken (good but unremarkable), wide noodles with peanut sauce (Bland! Pretty bad taste and mushy texture), garlic chicken (really good flavor, nice crispy texture), massuman curry (much like anywhere else I’ve had it, good flavor). Prices were a little high in my opinion but may be in line with expectations for the area. Overall it was a good experience with some room for improvement on the food side. Would give a 3.5 if that was available. Bar Scene: Its a relatively young crowd, like other places in the area. There was a line of people waiting to come in as we were leaving, they looked like they were having fun. :-)

Very good seafood red curry. Ample seafood including squid and scallop. Plenty of red pepper and other typical ingredients. Good amount of Thai basil. But. The sticky rice was in a plastic baggie inside aluminum foil inside the typical rice paper box. It filled a little bit less than 50% of the box and was therefore a very modestly sized meal. The method to make the sticky rice must have been one of the quicker methods because it didn't have the same and better quality of other sticky rice. And wrapping hot rice in a plastic baggie makes the rice absorb the plastic to be eaten. To whoever is reading this: the curry itself was darned good and I suspect the other items are of similar high quality. But the restaurant should reconsider how the sticky rice is prepared and presented.

just OK, nothing fantastic. they have a lot of menu options, spice level is lower than other thai places; 3 stars tastes closer to 1.5-2 stars. came here for lunch, which gets very busy (!) so come early. unfortunately, they were understaffed so what should've been a quick thai lunch turned into over 1.5 hours, mostly waiting. they do have sticky mango rice, which my friends loved! fair prices; expect about $10-11 per chicken/beef dishes. i paid $13 for prawn panang curry. and they bring you a nice little salad to start, which was a nice touch. the food was alright. we tried the crispy garlic chicken; it was good, but had too much breading and was over fried. also the panang curry was good, nothing beats thai tom's! but I've had better at comparable thai places. overall it was just alright. food was kind of bland, spice level was low, and the service was sloooooow. I'd probably come back, but maybe not anytime too soon.

My last meal at Jai Thai was phenomenal! Better than some meals I've had in Thailand! The decor of the restaurant is lovely and you can get almost all meals vegetarian. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Fremont. And if you're not, it's worth a trip to Fremont just to eat there!

We love Thai food and Jai Thai is our favorite whenever we are in Seattle. Every dish we have had there is great! Don't forget mango and sticky rice for dessert.

It was a beautiful day to visit with a bunch of kids. The big windows are full of sunlight. The food was good. They made everything non-spicy for us. Service was good.

I'm not sure if this was more bar or restaurant, but the food that we got had great flavors and we enjoyed ourselves.

We lived near the Jai Thai on Broadway so that is what I'm basing my reviews on. The food is great. I normally don't order Pad Thai but their "Country" version is so good!! It has a tamarind sauce instead of the regular and is super tasty! We went there several times and the service is either okay or not very good. It is pretty cheap though and tasty.

We came across this restaurant while we were checking out the Fremont area. What a great find! Firstly the pictures here don’t do it justice. They have redecorated and the restaurant is so beautiful and inviting. If you are on a date you should bring your partner there it’s that nice. Thai, yet modern and high end looking. The service was also very good. Very friendly staff. Lastly the food we had was very good. I lived in Thailand for 4 years and go back for a vacation whenever I can. I had a chicken coconut soup and it was very good. Lots of chicken in it and veggies etc and served in a beautiful bowl with a candle under it to keep it hot. This is how it is often served in thai restaurants in Thailand. We also got the grilled pork collar. It comes with sticky rice and papaya salad. Presentation again was very nice and this dish is normally served this way in Thailand (with sticky rice and papaya salad) all was very good. Lastly we had the sweet roti with coconut ice cream. This is the first time I saw this on a thai menu in North American. This is a common snack/dessert street food in Thailand. The taste was exactly how it is served in Thailand and the coconut ice cream was delicious. Again very nice presentation. I didn’t try anything else but the menu has lots of great dishes ranging from different parts of Thailand including some street foods and items other Thai restaurants don’t serve like Mieng kam (appetizer) and khao soy (noodle soup). The prices also seemed reasonable especially for how nice the restaurant is. Sadly I don’t live near this restaurant but if I’m ever in the neighborhood again I will go again. If you are in Fremont to see the troll, go visit the restaurant.

We arrived for dinner at 9:30pm and we were seated very quickly (as there weren't very many people in the actual restaurant area). The waiter quickly brought us our drinks and took our appetizer/dinner order. The appetizer (crab wontons with plum sauce) arrived VERY quickly and was very good. Not burnt or soggy - they were quite perfect actually. Our dinners arrived shortly after (less than 10 mins) and both entrees were delicious. Note: chef is on the low end of the hot scale. I ordered a 3 (their top hot is 4) and it tasted more like a nicely seasoned 2.

Very mediocre Thai food. I only go there for the free drinks.

Jai Thai never disappoints. I’ve been coming here for years for their traditional Thai dishes, but I recently tried some of their new specials and the fusion of flavors is fantastic! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and everything is cooked with care. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean and cozy. It’s one of those rare places that manages to be both authentic and innovative. 10/10!

All 3 dishes we tried at the Jai Thai on Broadway were excellent--very flavorful and fresh ingredients. We felt very "healthy" eating here, and the prices were extremely reasonable. It was a fun surprise to discover that we happened to be there for their Open-Mike Comedy Night (every Friday), so we stopped in after dinner for some free laughs. Special kudos to our competent server, who also managed all the hostessing while serving a full room!

I had the Massaman Curry, my favorite Thai dish. It was VERY good. My rice, however, was a hard lump. I had to chop it up and smash it to get all the curry goodness into it as I ate. My husband had the Yellow Curry and his was very good. He had the brown rice and it was cooked perfectly. Need to perfect that rice!

the restaurant was very full and pretty loud but the food was great. we stayed in Fremont which is the greatest place in seattle. service was good and restaurant was very warm and inviting.

Having had some rather mediocre Thai food recently at other restaurants, it was a very refreshing change to have some delicious food at Jai Thai - The salad rolls were nicely presented and fresh. The curries were flavorful and and I enjoyed the Kap lau gai kai dao (although a little salty) Good GF options too! Service was attentive and the ambiance was great - I would come again.

There is way too much really good food in Seattle than to waste a meal on this place. Food was lousy, service worse.

pad see ew/phat si io?? who knows, but it rocks. nothing is bad here. Service is spot on, but at times, waiter disappears and you are left looking around. Spend some time and enjoy a nice decently priced meal.

Stopped in for Tai on the bar. Good mixes on the drinks. Pad Thai and pot stickers were good. Also had a Curry dish that had fresh vegi's and tasted great.

Went here for my Birthday with my Hubby. Nothing spectacular about the place but it was cozy. We had mixed drinks and we fell in love with the Lychee Martini. We had the crab delight for an appetizer, I had the Phud See Yew, the Hubby had the Massaman. They were delicious. Service was very good. Portions are great, food prices are moderate. The place just need a bit of updating.

Loved this spot. We had very good service and the food was delicious. I love Phad Thai, this was some of the best I've ever had. I have recently been hooked on Mussaman Curry, although this wasn't the best I've had, it was very good. The red curry another member of the party got was good as well. Topped it all off with some delicious Thai Iced Tea. If you're looking for good Thai, this is it!

Jai Thai, 235 Broadway E Seattle, WA 98102 (206) 322-5781 1. Located in the niche of Capital Hill Seattle 2. Location is walkable; with more shops, stores, other restaurants along the way 3. Host received me well with courtesy and a smile (remember to first smile in kind) http://www.jaithairestaurant.com October 3 - 7, 2014 During my stay on Capitol Hill, Seattle WA, I enjoyed foods at several restaurants (too many to choose from). Jai Thai restaurant can accommodate a group of people comfortably. A very clean, neat, and airy atmosphere (no lingering funny smells LOL). I sat down for lunch and enjoyed a rather relishing meal from a menu with a variety of selections. Jai Thai’s cleanness, prompt service, tasty foods, and easy location is a place to experience. All inclusive, a delectable medley of “East” meets “West” on Capitol Hill. What makes a restaurant for me is the: Interior: First impression of cleanness and aroma smells Service: Host genuine greetings, the waitress promptness Overall experience: Services rendered with a cordiality and a smile Last But Not The Lease: Bathroom appearance and cleanness and sanitary My taste in food is eclectic and pretty much all over the board. Therefore, I do not necessarily judge by first impression. Even the most rundown looking restaurant could be the jewel in the palate. Experience — Explore, have fun… Live Life

After ten years or so of ordering both in and out from Jai Thai, my husband and I are finally throwing out the to go menu. The food is mediocre and inconsistently prepared. I have been to Thailand and my taste buds know the difference between Pad Prik King flavored with Siracha sauce versus flavorful fresh and dried chiles. Pad Thai is supposed to have fresh chiles and ground up peanuts. At Jai Thai, some times it does, some times it does not. Enough with the inconsistencies of whoever happens to be cooking in the kitchen. We are done with Jai Thai, and the left overs, not worth saving for lunch.

Just moved to Fremont. Love Thai food and this spot does it right. Pad kee mao is the bomb. They also serve good drinks. Stop in anytime for the bomb meal

Food okay nothing different or spectacular. Not particularly spicy or different from any other Thai restaurant. Staff very helpful and attentive and the drinks menu was pretty good. Just pretty average really.

Always great food and nice people! I have gone here for over 4 years and have never had a bad experience. If you are wanting some good Thai food, this should be your first stop.

3 of us ate there on a Friday night, no reservation, food was great. All of us commented on the tasty food. If I lived in the area I would return!

A wonderful experience in the Fremont District of Seattle. Friendly efficient service but watch the wine prices. Be sure you always ask!

Good food, fast and take out is the best way. They have the best crab rangoon

I got in fancying some thing healthy so I got a salad with seafood. Really a good choice, even though quite unusual for a Thai restaurant. The hefty portion was made up of a genuine blend of flavours given by herbs and condiments, giving the plate a spicy taste, and of course a good selection of fish and mussels. Definitely a trait for my appetite. A mention for the kind, welcoming and gentle service of the waitress.

This is one of the few Thai restaurants that serve unique dishes. They also have created an interesting atmosphere. Try to sit at one of the two low tables on raised platforms in front of the windows if you want a treat and aren't opposed to taking off your shoes. She ordered Kaw Soy with Tofu. That was a little plain for my taste. But my Country Curry with Beef was plenty interesting. The salad rolls were spot on. But my Thai iced tea was too sweet for my taste. The sticky rice was good.

We've been coming to Jai Thai for years. It's always been a solid choice with good food. The interior is warm but a little worn. Service has been very good for as long as we've been going.

Good happy hour food.

That was my first time in a Thai restaurant and I found it quite anonymous. Visited only once during a business lunch. Not impressed at all!

My wife and I were recommended Jai Thai by one of the employees at a shop nearby and we loved it. We split an order of the Pad Thai and Spring Rolls and it was a perfect amount to share (generous portions). Nice lunch in the Fremont area!

We enjoyed very good Thai food at this restaurant. Located in downtown Fremont District of Seattle in a Historic building with very high ceilings. We were there for lunch and everything was delicious. Especially the Prawn Fresh Rolls, Crab Ragoons and the Crispy Garlic Chicken.

Nice Thai Restaurant at Seattle. The Restaurant have some table and spacious. They Have Good menu with good taste. They also have the dessert with thai authentic taste and style. Good service and fast response.

Good food and good service. I love going this time of year and having the yellow curry with chicken. It's right in the heart of Freemont. Which means you might have to spend a little extra time finding a parking space.

My group and I went to Jai Thai for lunch, no reservation and they were able to get together a table for 16 quite quickly. The service was amazing as we were on a dinner break from a course so there were 2 separate big groups along with the other patrons of the restaurant. The food was great! I've been to a few thai places in different cities and I'd say the pad thai and the pad see lew were comparable to thai food that you can get in Thailand! Looking forward to coming here again when I'm back in Seattle!

Had garlic pork and curry fried rice, 3 star spicy. The pork was overcooked, there was no flavor of garlic, and the vegetables were steamed rather than stirfried. Extremely underspiced--thai food normally has some pop from the spices. The curry fried rice had little flavor--couldn't even taste any cumin. I won't be going back.

I honestly come here all the time. There have even been times that I have gone here a few times in one week - other times once a week. Now, I would guess I come once or twice a month. It's addicting. I love their food. The staff is tremendously nice - they even know my go-to order now. I wish I could give this place 100 stars. Please check this place out!

Whenever I am away I never really go to restaurants without reading reviews. We just came in from the east coast and we were tired, so we decided to eat around the corner from our vacation apartment, against my better judgment. The atmosphere was very Thai and felt cozy. It was not crowded and we stood at the front door and waited 15 minutes to be seated (the only party). The service was not good but the waitress was very pleasant. It appeared that she was the only person waiting on all the tables. When it was time to order we asked her what was the table next to us eating, she appeared to not know what it was. We also had to ask for napkins and utensils. We ordered the Pad Thai and it was very starchy, extremely sweet and after a few bites it was inedible, the worst. We ordered the fried garlic breast and that also was sweet it had no authentic Thai flavoring. We also ordered the scallops w/mixed vegetables and I thought it was prepared with sea scallops but we had the small bay scallops and that dish was bland and didn't taste fresh. The only dish that was decent was the fried trout with mango salad. We ordered tea because it was cold and they put 2 tea bags in a 5 cup pot, so darn watery it was just ridiculous! Never again! I will follow my mind next time.

My favorite soup is Tom Kha. It was very sweet at Jai Thai, but still good. I also ordered Pad See Ew which was not on the menu but they made anyway. Our server was attentive and friendly.

Fantastic Thai food. I love their Swimming Rama - they have an excellent peanut sauce here. All the spices and flavors were good, and they didn't use too much fish sauce, which I prefer. Lovely atmosphere as well.

Drinks /service was hard to get although they're not that busy. Today's special Crab Claw Rice was bland and supposed to be a 2 of 4 on the heat scale. The crab was miniscule at best. I couldn't tell if it was hot at all nor on the chicken meal Cashew Chicken was nothing special. On

Thai Restaurants are a dime dozen in Seattle. this is a stand out. The food is always good no matter what you order. It is always spiced right wheater tou order no stars or 4****. It;s fabulous! I recommend noodle dishes with chicken. Beef is good but tends to the well done side. It was a good place for a group

Very popular thai takeout, extensive Menu with large portions @moderate prices. Large selection of noodles, curries, and appetizers. Choices of spiciness provided. Definitely not gourmet dining, but totally satisfying for a fast and economical meal.

There are three Thai choices in Fremont within a block of each other, maybe more. I picked this one as it was very full for lunch and it was a great choice. My curry was perfectly spiced. The ambiance is lively and fits easily into its environment.
Thai food outside Thailand?
We did not expect much from this Thai restaurant outside Thailand as generally these restaurant cater just for the locals. The Tom yam seafood soup was clear, not the ones with a red film of chilli oil floating on top, a little bit more lime juice, lemon grass and bird's eye chilli would make it more authentic. Thai omelette, not fluffy, lacking flavour & texture, oily, obviously the wok did not smoke enough before the beaten eggs were added.Stir fried minced pork with basil leaves, average. Thai crispy fish with mango salad, good. Oyster sauce stir fried Kai-Lan, average. A kung poh styled prawn, scallops and green capsicum, too much gravy, average. The restaurant is comfortable, high ceiling and lots of Thai décor and the service is good except that the smiles of "Amazing Thailand" is missing.
