Delicious Margs

By TylerGo |

Enchilada’s are good, salsa is great, margs are fantastic. Came here for catching up with a friend and ended up laughing and talking and eating all day drinking delicious fish bowl margs.

Mexican Food for Date Night

By Joe S |

We were craving that second food so we hopped on the bus to head to Jalisco which is in our neighborhood. They have a big menu with à la cart and combo items and great drinks. They have Negro Modelo on tap! Staff is fun and friendly.

Been eating here for years

This is one of the little gems in the neighborhood. We've been eating here for close to 20 years. The bar generally has sports on and the usual suspects from the neighborhood hanging around a lot. I'm a fan of the Pork Carnitas here, they are probably the best thing they do (and I don't think they are on the menu, but they DO make them). They are like family, long time family as I've known them for way too long now.

Fast Service - Good Food

By Robert M |

Coming in late for dinner my daughter and I were immediately served salsa, chips and a delicious homemade salad-like dip. We ordered an avocado salad and chile relleno. In what seemed like no time at all, the two dishes were delivered to our table. Mine piping hot and my daughter's super fresh. Both meals were good and passed our expectations for speed of service and excellence of the food.

Great texmex

I love their cheese blend. The service is fast and friendly. Mostly family work there. They will accommodate your special order for everything.

Super Yummy every time. Jalisco's has great staff, good food , and decent prices. I eat here a lot.

TYPICAL MEXICAN BUT NOT EXCEPTIONAL

By Janice14 |

We were hungry for Mexican and were staying with a friend, and he suggested this place as it was close to his residence. We went for a late lunch, and were seated immediately. A server delivered chips, salsa, and fresh salsa right away. We munched on them, and our server eventually made her way to our table. Took our drink orders, and I ordered a margarita. Kind of different to be served a margarita in a plastic glass? Not a nice margarita glass? Paid over $7 for it, too, and have to admit, it was one of the worst margaritas I had ever had. Anyhow, she took our food orders, and the food was promptly delivered. It was hot, too! Both my husband and I thought, it did not have a lot of flavor to it. I had a burrito. It was big, but sure was awful runny, like it was watered down? He had a chimichanga. It really was pretty small, and were expecting two for that size. If ever in the area, I don't think we will return to this Mexican place, but search for another one that has some good authentic taste to it. Service was mediocre.

Always a treat.

Always great food. One of the best carne asada in town. Service is always good. They remember us each time we go. My father gets to practice his Spanish when we are there. They are very appreciative of him and his words. They are very kind to my parents and sister.

Great Food!!! 5 star service

I love this place! Is walking distance from my apartment, the food is amazing but the best part is the customer service. Specially Gil, the bartender! He is so nice, always remembers our drinks and has them ready before we even ask. The atmosphere is the best and the prices are reasonable. Love it!! I normally go every Friday afternoon and will continue going back as long as i live in this area of Seattle.

Hard to find but worth the effort

Tucked away on an odd little street, you have to meander a bit to find it. Friendly family-style welcome. Service was top notch and attentive. Portions were generous and quickly served. My chile colorado was well seasoned and the beef well-textured. When I saw the plate, I knew I'd be asking for a doggie bag, but in the end, I just couldn't stop eating and left not a speck on the plate at meal's end. I skipped dessert...and eating altogether for the next day. Price was very reasonable. Other guests ran the range from families with young children (who seem to be regulars), to older couples, friends hanging out for an evening, and couples. Nothing fancy here, nothing "gourmet" - a familiar menu. Above average compared to the chains - at a very reasonable price, in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Good Eats, Good Marguaritas!

By hfulghum |

Margaritas - the true measure of a Mexican restaurant's quality. And these guys do a pretty good job on that front. Jalisco is a fairly run of the mill place. Not exceptional food that makes me want to go out of my way to go there. At the same time, if you've got a need for a burrito and a beer or a margarita, this is a good local joint to hit. It's a bit loud, a bit dated, none of which are a surprise. The service is good, the staff friendly and attentive. You could do a lot worse.

Favorite Mexican Reataurant

We have been going to Jalisco in Lake City for over 30 years. We love it! Both our kids have been going with us since they were babes in arms! Very family friendly. Great people serving us. Some of the same people have been working there since we started eating there. They provide excellent service and are really friendly!

$1700.00 for lunch

By Doninredmond |

I took my 97 year old mother there every month or so and she enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere. However the last time there one of their employees decided they wanted to order a laptop computer at office depot and charged it on my moms credit card. After calling them they were no help what so ever and they went into the denial mode, They should change their name to BANDIDOS because they will steal you blind.

Good mexican food

I've been to this place a few times, it;'s a great family friendly restaurant. The food is simple but good. The service is always very friendly, the waitstaff always smile and make jokes, making you feel welcome.

A really good chain.

Chimichanga lunch special was special. The beans, rice, sour cream and guacamole were perfect sides for this dish. Huevos Rancheros were equally delicious. The third dish was also from the lunch special and was a spinach dish that was thoroughly enjoyed. The portion size was large. The ambiance was festive and the service was good.

Biased review from someone who lived in Texas for the past 24 years.

By Robert M |

One thing about moving to Seattle: we sure miss our Tex-Mex. However, after trying a few restaurants, we have found Jalisco to be more to our tastes than most. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is a pretty good selection, although I don't think anybody up here makes a sour cream sauce for enchiladas. My family eats up the pico de gallo, usually getting several plates (free ... woo-hoo!). I like the combo platters. The fajitas are okay. The enchiladas are pretty good. The chile relleno seems more like a pepper omelet, but I still like it. Portion sizes are good. Look - a bonus anecdote! My daughter asked for hot chocolate our first visit. The server thought she said Horchata. She loved it. Now she gets the Horchata every time.

Great Neighborhood Mexican Spot

By Brad M |

Been going here regularly for over 10 years and always great and consistent meals as well as margaritas. Service occasionally a little slow towards the end but nothing to complain about. Mother in law always gets the chili relleno, swears by it. My fav is the chicken chimichanga.

Very nice establishment

I had dinner and drinks with friends on saturday and the staff is very friendly and helpful, Andres the bartender makes the best margaritas and Martin is very helpful and happy to you in the restaurant, they recommended a food dish that I liked when I was in Cabo and the meal he recomended was better. I can wait to return to Jalisco's for more good food and great drinks ..... The whole staff was very friendly and looks like I found a new place to enjoy Mexican food while I'm at home

Perfect Mexican combo for lunch!

By Perry B |

Took a friend for lunch here in the midweek. Not too crowded and authentic Mexican food. They bring out the chips and Salsa and keep it coming. The plates are large and hot, and hold big portions. I recommend the taco and enchilada combo. Prices are very reasonable.
