We visited Jardin Corona for dinner the other cay and were very pleased. We had enchiladas all the way around. I had the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. They were delicious. The charro beans are a great side with bits of onion and pepper in them. I also tried the black beans and they were tasty too. My wife had the enchilada blanca with sour cream and white sauce. I tried those as well and they were very good. The service was good on a busy weekend night and they had someone walking around with chips and salsa refills so we did not miss out on any opportunity to eat too much! Overall very good!

The food and service are consistently good and prices are reasonable. Good service, good happy hour prices. They have a tiny bar that I wish they would expand and then another bar-like area that feels more like a waiting area. Great restaurant overall!

Good food and good drinks! Friendly service and prompt! We will eat here again as we have previously done! Chips and salsa are very good!

I go every week with a group of friends, and from the first time the staff treated us like regulars. They serve margaritas by the pitcher, making them ideal for groups, and the food is wonderful. Try something different! The poblano queso is amazing, the pechuga, the shrimp relleno. And the traditional tex-mex fare is really good. It is casual and unpretentious, true. You can get fancier, more upscale if that is what you want. It is noisy, yes. But for friendly service and a place you can call your tex-mex home, this is it.

Everything at this place is great. The staff is always great. Good margaritas and salsa. However the dish to get is the Carne Assada. A skirt steak on a sizzling platter with all the sides. Ask for the Picosa sauce and you are set for one hot and spicy treat.

Several friends recommended Jarden Corona but it was a little out of the way. Last night, we decide to take the trip and it was well worth it. From the warm greeting at the door, to the considerate service to the yummy food, it was the best Mexican restaurant experience my wife and I have had. That is saying something in Texas. We will be going back, with good friends in tow.

This is our second "go to" as far as Mexican food. I started going there for their delicious micheladas, but kept going back or their food. Everything is good and I always eat too much but how can you resist?

The salsa is great and the staff is really nice.

Everything is pretty good here, definitely nicer than the Cedar Park or Leander locations

Excellent service. Good food at reasonable prices. Had tamale platter and husband had fajita nachos. Both were plentiful and tasty. The sangria had both ice and seltzer in it, which was different from any sangria I've ever had.

We have been to this restaurant a few times with friends and it is consistently good food. The bar is great, too. I like their fajitas platter with an ice cold beer.

love this place! They have the best Mexican Martinis and I could drink the salsa. Not all selections are equal. But their Mole, Chile rellenos, and chimichamgas are wonderful. We eat there weekly. Their breakfast burritos are the best -- especially "The Works" It is a monster burrito filled with beans, cheese, sausage, bacon, egg, cheese, and jalapeños.

Jardin Corona is my go-to place for good Mexican food and awesome margaritas. Order the top shelf-- tastes great and is STRONG! Way better then Trudy's or Chuy's any day

my favorite so far, really good food

We are native Texans and consider ourselves enchilada snobs. We prefer the "South Texas " type enchiladas that you usually have to go to San Antonio or further south to find. Jardin Corona absolutely has some of the best enchiladas we have ever eaten. We ordered 4 different types "a la carte" to do a taste test and all were very good. my favorite was the enchlladas rojas. The sides were all great. I paid attention to what the other patrons around us ordered and it all looked very good. They have a good happy hour and nice selection of desserts as well. On top of it all the prices are very reasonable. It was definitely a gold mine for us and we will drive the 100 miles to return for another meal very soon. Thanks for making authentic South Texas Tex mex

My friend Loves the Mexican martinis here, I like them too. The tex mex is good for the price, but sometimes it reminds me of SNL skit of Frozen Mexican Dinner and so I go easy. However, I DO HATE SMELLING LIEK TEX MEX FOOD RESTAURANT with POOR VENTILATION when I get home. P-U! Do yourself a favor and sit outside. :-)

I have eaten here with my girlfriend on numerous occasions. The food is consistently quite good and occasionally excellent. The meal we had tonight was one of the best Mexican meals I have ever eaten. You should know they don't do anything exotic or unusual. All the recipes are pretty much right over the center of the plate. But the food is simply very, very good - exactly what queso, enchiladas, etc. are supposed to taste like. Try the chicken tortilla soup - it was among the best I've ever tasted. The service was near impeccable - there were chips and salsa on the table within seconds of our sitting down. I love that.

We love stopping at this place for their fajitas and giant margaritas. This is a family favorite but get there early seats fill up fast for dinner.

Went here for lunch as my first visit. Better than average for inexpensive Mexican food but not enough IMO to give them four stars. Chips are light, crisp, and low in salt. Salsa is pretty average. Had beef enchiladas with rice and beans. The beef filling was basically stewed/ steamed from being done in too big a batch and not hot enough. Would have been much better if the hamburger had been browned. The gravy was good as were the tortillas. The rice and beans were good. Perhaps I ordered unwisely. Will go back. From the outside it is hard to realize it is as nice inside as it is. Parking is not good.

Nice little funky place with great food. My plate runners over. We were all happy with all dishes. Be prepared that the salsa and quest dips are a little spicy. Stay away from the London Iced Tea unless you like nothing but liquor flavor. Not a great drink artist....

Go here once and you will go back again and again. I am a fan of their Fajitas a la Mexicana but there a many other great meals, such as the shrimp enchiladas. You have so many choices and all come with a great look and OH the aroma. The margarita's are some of the best.

Food is typical tex-mex. exactly what you would expect as with the hundreds other places just like it. Food was not bad but do not believe it deserves to be in the top 15% of Austin restaurants

LOVE THE FOOD

Excellent fajitas and enchiladas with great margaritas. The room and the patio are with tables well apart. Our waiter, Armando, knew his job and was very kind with us.

Go to this place expecting Tex-Mex and you won't be disappointed. There is nothing fancy about the inside and smells like you'd expect, a bit greasy. The food is way better than any other Tex-Mex I've been to in Austin. I've been a number of times and had the Pechuga Jardin Corona and the Mole Enchilidas most of the times and have always been happy with my meal. Their salsa is fresh and very good as well. They make a great Margarita and their Michelada's are a great cure for those long nights. If you haven't been give Jardin Corona a try!

first visit, recommended by a friend. lunch special was very good. another favorite mexican food restaurant. looking forward to another Austin trip so I can try other dishes here.

Found this place several years ago when I worked on the north side of Austin. I have brought friends, family, in-laws and business associates here over the years and the food quality and atmosphere have always been above standard. The servers are polite and attentive and management circulate the dining area checking on patrons. I have seen them upgrade the outdoor dining area and the bar to improve those experiences. Through it all the food offerings have been consistently delicious at a good price. I see reviews comparing Jardin to other "standard" Tex-Mex restaurants and couldn't disagree more. I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to visit, for years to come, with my family.

We're from PA, our son lives in Austin and has been telling us we've never had real Tex Mex, well he was right! This was the most delicious Mexican food I have ever had. Also great service!

Always have a great experience here. We always get the bean and cheese nachos. and a coconut swirl frozen margarita. I am gluten free so I get the beef fajita a la mexicana with corn tortillas. My girlfriend gets the chicken enchiladas verdes. Both are always great. Been going there for about three years now. But when they are busy it is very loud.

We have been coming here for about 2 years. The food is decent, service is relatively fast and prices are on point. Having said that, the service has never been something that would bring you back in...until Burt!! This time around has been by far our best experience EVER! Burt was attentive, polite, knowledgeable and took the customer service level to a 5 star rating. I will request sitting in Burt’s section in the future and I highly recommend you do the same. Very pleased with today’s experience!!

Always a consistent local place to go eat Tex Mex. Nothing fancy, but always good food and service. Normally go several times a month.

We recently visited this restaurant for dinner on the Sunday night before Thanksgiving. While the ambiance is not that of a high-end restaurant (simple but with a Mexican motif), the menu has a great variety of Tex-Mex, and Mexican food. The wait staff were very accommodating and the food was wonderful. Kids are welcome with a special menu for them. We have visited many Tex-Mex and Mexican restaurants in Austin in the past and on this trip, and this definitely one of my favorite.

I must admit that I’m a California Mexican food eater and having a bunch of queso all over my food makes me sad. I’ve been a huge fan of Lupe Tortilla, but after trying this place I’m sold on a new spot! My mom and I came in and couldn’t decide what to get, Chris was super helpful and an awesome server to us. The chips were decent, salsa good, but our meal was superb! Seriously a good spice NOT from pepper or random hot peppers thrown in. The shrimp were tender and the beans had seasoning!!! I ate at Fonda San Miguel last week and spent $65 with a friend for subpar food with absolutely NO SEASONING and they only had white rice?!! Sigh.... (Amazing server there, but we came to eat, you know?) I will be coming back to Jardin Corona when I need a Mexi-fix! I have absolutely no understanding why anyone would give this place anything less then 4 stars unless they are only used to Tex-Mex... which this was certainly NOT... and I’m happy about that!

Stopped in at Jardin Corona to have some dinner and ordered the combo, chicken and beef, fajitas. i was a bit thirsty for a frozen strawberry margarita which was really good- the right amount of margarita mix and tequila. The fajitas include the usual sides including refried beans, Spanish rice, guacamole, chili’s, and sour cream. I ordered flour tortillas instead of corn and it came out pretty quick at 6 pm on a weeknight. I thought the chicken was cooked well, but the beef was a bit dry. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my meal and Diana took good care of my drinks and chips.

Hardin Corona is a good Mexican restaurant with reasonable prices. The location is very good, the menu large, service pretty good and food good.

Our favorite cheap breakfast tacos in town. Calling it a hole in the wall is a disservice. Most of the mgmt have been around for years. Tex Mex is little above average, but the Jardin Pachuga heart stopping entree is awesome. Chicken breast stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese, smothered with queso. Clear your afternoon if you order this great dish. Margaritas are just okay, but come in a big goblet. Good family place, and it's great to see how big this place has got since I got to Austin 16 years ago. Service is quick. Yet you may have to wait a bit to get your meal. Will be back Saturday for the Migas breakfast tacos!

I have been there twice and both times I have been more than happy with everything there. The food is beyond comparison and I am amazed. I have had a burrito and a chimichanga but my favorite surprisingly were the nachos I couldn't stop eating them! Their drinks are delicious and not too strong but enough to taste it. Prices are decent but not great. Our waiter (we had him both times) is too funny! I really like him. The atmosphere is relaxed but a little cramped. I felt like I was sitting on top of the person behind me.

Place is usually packed, they carter to large groups, tables of 20-40 folks...yet you don't really mind waiting since the food is exceptional. The bar is very small, only a few stools. There is an area as you come in that you can, if you are lucky, get a table and start with fresh salsa & chips. Margaritas come in three sizes, the large is $7.25, guarantee you will not stop at one! The Carne Asada Steak Tapiquena was one of the best I have ever eaten and at $11.99 it was a fair price for the portion served. Enough variation on the menu that you can easily visit a few times a week and not repeat a meal.

Order the "Steak al la Mexicana" and a "Mexican Martini" ... or 2 (that's the limit) and you'll be glad you did. The perfect combo. Our family has been going to Jardin Corona for years - we condider it one of Austin's best kept secrets. The wait staff is knowlegable, curtious and friendly. They also have a great breakfast menu! Do yourself a favor and try it.

A solid performer on the Mexican cuisine scene in NW ATX. Stopped by on a recent Saturday evening. The place was very busy, but we were able to be seated right away. The drinks were awesome, Mexican Martinis with a splash of Chambers ... deelish! (have them hold the olives). We usually don't order appetizers, but the Queso Compuesto caught our eye. So glad it did! A blend of queso, picadillo and guacamole. A "top 3 in ATX" dish! The star of the queso was the guacamole, probably the best in Austin. Our entrees were Chicken Fajitas and the Milanesa De Pollo. Both were very good, ample portions, served quickly... one final thought ... chips and salsa. Chips were thin and crisp, and the salsa was off the charts... like the guacamole, the salsa is one of the best in ATX. Stop by and visit Jardin Corona, even if it's a bit of a drive... well worth the effort!

Very good service in a typical tex mex joint. Be aware that it's a neighborhood restaurant. But the neighbors seems to like it; and the food is good at a fair price. We were there last Thursday at noon; not a lot of people; some groups of friend; some old couples. We think we can recommend this resto; some of the customer seems to be habitué.

Warning on the menu advises not to have more than two Mexican Martinis and they are correct! We ordered a nota as platter in addition to vegetarian quesadillas and the food and atmosphere was great. Always go back again and again.

Jardin has fantastic food - my favorite being the chile rellano, and some of the very best salsa in Austin. I've never been disappointed in my food. The service can be slow however, as they are generally pretty busy for lunch. One thing you must do here is either pay in cash, or closely check your credit card receipts when you get home. I noticed that they helped themselves to a little extra on my card even though I very clearly stated on the receipt that I tipped in cash.

I almost hate writing this because this place can be so busy its hard to get a table Thrus - Sat. evenings. I'd like to keep it as much of a secret as possible. I can assure you it is worth the wait! We love the margaritas, the specialty items on the menu are superb and believe it or not the shrimp cocktail is one of my favorite "diet/healthy" choices. I can get my Jardin fix without getting all the calories from typical Mexican food dishes. They also serve amazing breakfasts and lunches. My husband knows if I'm not in the mood to cook we are headed to Jardin. The staff are more like family at this point and this is our favorite Mexican food in all of Austin. NOT fancy - just Family - PERFECT!!

I love this place and come here whenever I am in Austin. The staff is great here, nicest servers EVER!! The restaurant is good sized and is usually fairly busy, although I have never had to wait long to be seated. There is a bar area with great margaritas and super friendly bartenders, if you do have a wait. ;) Another great feature is the drive-through. You can pick up to go orders there or order on the go. Very convenient, and again they are always very nice. The food is good and the portions are nice sized. I usually opt for the cheese enchiladas, which have more of a gravy on top than a meat sauce, but they are terrific. Its hard for me to leave with leftovers here, Its hard not to lick my plate actually! ;) The place is always peppered with regulars, a sign that they're doing something right..... Give them a try You'll be glad you did!

I've been going to Jardin for years. This is my go to place for margaritas. You can get a top shelf pitcher at a reasonable price which makes for a fun night. I've noticed that in my last few visits that the food has been worse each time I go. At this point I would stick with anything in the steak fajita family to be safe. I still lpve the drinks, but this place has been bumped off my frequent list.

We have heard from friends living in the vicinity of the restaurant that this is a, "great little place with wonderful food..." It has a "cult like" following that is something that only a regular can understand. We visited the establishment expecting great things, but were left wondering. This is a cute little neighborhood bar and Tex/Mex restaurant serving good food and good drinks. The staff knows the regulars and greets them appropriately. The friend we were with was immediately recognized and seated in a nice booth. The decor is a little dated, but seems to work. The food is served in very large portions for a very reasonable price. The service is good, but not great. It is located in a strip center with shared parking. Parking is very tight (small spaces and not much drive space to back out) and not built for a truck! If we were in the area again, we would consider it, but there is one favorite restaurant close by that we like far better.

I have eaten there twice for dinner and once for Sat breakfast. Disappointed each time. Most food is bland including the queso, and the huevos rancheros were not cooked properly. Much better Tex-Mex elsewhere in Austin. Would have maybe ranked 2 stars but the poor service brought it down to 1 star.

I'm with other reviews - the crowds can be big but it the staff deserves the Kudos. I wouldn't say the food is exceptional - my favorite items on their menu are the grilled ones. I truly enjoy the margaritas and the hot sauce is very good. I don't like eating breakfast here - other places make better breakfast tacos or migas in my humble opinion. But it's the staff that takes this place over the top for me. They are always so busy and yet people are smiling and friendly. And the prices - did I mention the prices? These days in Austin restaurants are going up and up. This place has good prices for good food. It's not fancy - bathroom needs a good power wash :) but I like this North Austin Tex-Mex.

It was late. I needed dinner and I was alone so my needs were simple. I was staying with friends in Cedar Park, TX (near Austin) and wanted to get a meal near their house. It was pouring rain and I did not want to trapse around town too much. I got off the freeway and used my Trip Advisor to look up a restaurant near me that was open till 11PM. This was what came up. I walked in and decided to sit at the empty bar. This allowed me to strike-up conversation with 'Beto (Alberto) and we started gabbing right away. I placed an order for a Carne Guisida. Strange name but oh my was it good. They top it with a white light cheese sauce and jalapeños, a type of Mexican rice is on the plate too. I must say that this was a real delight. My friend's apparently love this place too commenting about the killer margaritas. Lilly and family run the business and the love between them is apparent. This is what family business is about. These are the types of restaurants that we should always support. Go to the Crown Garden. (Jardin Corona) it is a jewel in Cedar Park.

My boyfriend and I go here almost every Friday night. We love it. We've always enjoyed our meals and have never had a complaint about the service. It's packed on Friday nights and you can see that the waitstaff are working their tails off, but we've never had poor service from any of them. If you're expecting a four or five star or restaurant, this isn't it. Think "hole-in-the-wall" (without the dirtiness) and "Tex-Mex" and you'll be fine. The prices are more than fair for what you get. Great chips and salsa too :-) (My boyfriend likes the salsa more than I do. The chips are awesome.)

This is our go-to Tex Mex spot. Our whole family has been coming here since they opened with about 4 tables. They've since expanded and have always been consistent and affordable

This is my favorite hometown place. It is cheap, a little dumpy with terrific mexican food. Best dish is the chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. I always request the charro beans rather than the refried beans. They have good lunch specials for 5 or 6 bucks which is a slightly smaller portion and includes your drink. Go there, you'll like the food!

Friends took us to dinner at Jardine Corona. We had just had Mexican food somewhere else a few weeks before and it was awful. We went anyway. OMG! When you like the salsa, the food has to be good. The food was out of this world good. I can't wait to go again next time I am in town.

It's a pretty good Tex-Mex. I took a guest from Nashville and he was a bit underwhelmed . We had great conversation and a good atmosphere to make it happen . The Mexican martini was good , I did ask for extra olives - wholly cow, they gave me a fun Martini glass full. Service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive . Thank you.

I tried several Mexican Food Places and lived in Austin my entire life. You need to try the Pollo Endiablos. You'll won't be sorry. All menu items have that exceptional flavor better than most Mexican Food run-of-the-mill Mexican Food Places. When I used to live close by, I used to get take out at least once or twice per week. Their fresh salsa is perfect...not too hot. Geno always takes care of my take out. He knows my voice and asks if I want my usual. You cannot top this place for flavor or price.

We've been coming here for the past 8 years. We start We started coming here for breakfast 8 years ago. The breakfast burritos have a very healthy and then some portioning. They are not too spicy so adding the homemade hot suase they provide is a perfect touch. The carne guisada is wonderful, large tender cuts of meat in thick gravy. They have a variety of 3 different kinds of toppings for the chicken enchiladas. I have purchased them here off. They may taste a little different, but always very good. Their chili con queso is to die for. The cheese is not you cheez whiz or out of a can. they make it from scratch with chunks of peppers but not too much for those who don't like the spice. To top it all off their chips are homemade also. The only problem with our meal this time was the service. Normally the place is so busy you have to squeeze through tables. This time it was around 300 and the waiter took forever. We waited to be seated, to order, to refill drinks and waited for the bill and lastly change. The waiter was "visiting" with other staff in the restaurant.

After a long day of work, my Girlfriend and I decided to try a mexican place that was recommended by our apartment complex. It was very close to where we live, so we figured, why not. When we got there, they immediately got us chips and salsa and water. This may appear to be a minor things, but you'd be surprise how often i have to wait a long time for water. Our waiter was very nice. You could tell english was his second language. Which in my mind, just adds authenticty to a mexican joint. We ordered the Queso, some echiladas, and a Burrito, with a pitcher of Margaritas. The Margaritas were great! we ordered top shelf, but they only gave us well, which honestly tasted just as good. They also only charged us for well, so no harm no foul. The food was true authentic mexican food. It was delicious and spicy. They Queso was hot and gooey. Everything about our meal was awesome. We ended up eating way too much, and leaving there with our pants unbuttoned. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for good mexican food!

We were told it would be a 35-minute wait so we went outside and sat down at a table. A waiter came and asked if we wanted to order and eat outside so we did and got served within 10 minutes. My default Mexican dinner is chicken enchiladas in verde sauce. I got that and it was delicious - shredded chicken stuffed in corn tortillas smothered in sauce and cheese. I always order twice the rice and no beans and was happy to get good rice. My husband had carne guisada and it was delicious. I don't know why they serve this dish at places in Texas but not Utah - it's sooooo cute!! The only glitch was that our drinks were never refilled but the cups were big enough I had enough anyway. And our bill for three came to under $30. Mine was just $6.99 - I'd return for that!

Jardin Corona has the vibe of a family run restaurant with personalized service and a wide range of customization possible to make your dish perfect. Fajitas are delicious - massive portion - ample accompaniments and wonderful flavor. Ask for their home made spicy salsa - awesome taste with a decent kick.

The food was good but not the best.. the prices was fine and the service was excellent.. we really had fun there and I will visit this plase again for sure.

My son, who lives nearby, steered us to this place. The margaritas were superior. There were many selections on the menu. There were three of us and we each ordered dishes we had never tried before. We were NOT disappointed. They were all great! I recommend it to anyone who is in the area.

I have eaten here several times for lunch and their lunch specials are so yummy and budget friendly. I finally got there to check out breakfast. Just as good. I had the supreme breakfast taco filled with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, beans, cheese but I cut the jalapenos. It had everything I love for breakfast. The ingredients for lunch and breakfast are so fresh. Great Mexican food for a reasonable price.

Typical Tex-Mex. Great if you don't have Tex-Mex in your city, but when you're in Austin, it's just one of several hundred.

Average food with very large margaritas in great foo sore like sangria, banana, curaçao, and tuna ... I mean prickly pear. Friendly staff and nice ambiance. In/outdoor seating with pets :)

3 coworkers and I went to Jardin Corona for lunch on a Thursday. We arrived at 12:15 and the restaurant was about half full. It was a rainy day. We all loved our meals. I ordered the #1 lunch combo with one crispy taco, cheese enchiladas, chile con queso and guacamole $6.99. One coworker ordered the #8 lunch combo with one beef fajita taco al carbon, chicken flauta and chili con queso $6.99. Two coworkers ordered the Pechuga Jardin Corona $12.99 and had to take some to go because of the quantity of food. Our waitress was quick to take our order and we received our lunches fast. Our meals were very tasty and just the right temperature. We will be back.

Excellent service. Excellent food. I got the supreme taco, it was huge and delicious and all for under $4.

This is an old school family restuartant with a huge menu and great food. The menu has everythign under the sun and has varying prices so it you can a good meal for $10 or go up another level to $20. Everytime family or friends eat here they love it. Enjoy!

We all had different items. They were all great! The El Jardín Special was much enjoyed. The chicken soup was like 2 meals. The soup and taco was terrific. My shrimp taco and guacamole were tasty. The red salsa was tasty and they have other green salsas that vary in spicy degrees.

Saturday or Sunday Favortite!

at least in the Margaritas! When I got a watered down Marg a couple of weeks ago I mentioned it to the waiter but thought it was an aberration. We went again night before last & the same thing happened; this time we complained to the manager. At least I think he was; the waiter pointed me to a guy behind the dessert counter as the person to whom I should address my complaints. His English was limited so I hope he got my message......hopefully this doesn't indicate a trend, since previously the Margs were great. Also unhappily, I ordered the pechuga but when it came it was only a few strips of fajita chicken meat under the sauce, not a whole chicken breast. On the plus side, my spouse loves their salsa - he always asks for the hot stuff that the kitchen staff keeps in the back, not the 'gringo' salsa ordinarily served. This has been our favorite 'real people' Mexican hangout & we've been coming here for years, but the last couple of times have been enough for us to start looking around for another casual TexMex place in the area. Sad.

This street mall restaurant, with no fancy expectations, has a different kind of Mexican menu, were you will find another view of Mexican food, with awesome margaritas and Mexican martinis, friendly and fast service and generous entrees, the issue?, parking!, go prepared to park even passing the gas station!

Outstanding breakfast tacos. Prices are cheaper, we got an assortment of tacos. The guisada was by far the best tacos. We are definitely coming back true Mexican food not tex-mex

We stumbled onto this NW Austin extension of another Tex-Mex favorite in Cedar Park, and liked it even better. The service was polite and perfectly timed, the food delicious, the portions huge and reasonably priced. The adults ordered Veggie Fajitas for 2, but it was much more than we could eat. (Work lunch tomorrow-- yea!) The kids enjoyed their meals, and loved the virgin strawberry daquiris and pina coladas made with fresh fruit. The booths with high backs and large front window gave a sense of both privacy and openness. A delightful experience.

Jardin Corona is a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant to go for good food, friendly service, and of course, Margaritas. It is a place that I like going back to because everything that I have tried so far has been good....did I mention the Margaritas. The Pechuga Jardin Corona I ordered was cooked to perfection and not over-cooked and dry, as some neighborhood Mexican restaurant often do. The dish is always good with a Margarita or two.

Reservations for 15 made at the last minute--staff was very accommodating. Salsa, quacamole and chips very good. We all had something different to eat and everyone loved their meal. I wish I could remember our server's name--he was excellent. Great choice! Will definitely return.

Food seems fresh and tasty. Only been about three times, but breakfast tacos are good, carne guisada very tender and flavorful, and enchiladas quite good, although not spectacular. Pretty straightforward Tex-Mex fare at reasonable prices, but not cheap. Pretty good service - effective without pretense. Cost matches up to quality of food. Last visit I had the grilled chicken salad - very fresh and well-presented. We eat a lot of Tex-Mex at home and are kind of a hard sell on it when we go out for it occasionally, but this place is definitely above average and a comfortable atmosphere.

Outstanding service every single time & great food at good prices. My favorite neighborhood spot! Margaritas are really tasty!

This restaurant has very good TexMex....the chips are not greasy, the salsa is spicy, the enchiladas are home cooked yummy as are the refried beans. The margaritas are made from a syrup mix and not fresh squeezed lime, therefore I will pass on that drink next time. And, beware of the noise level...it is high. Service is a bonus.

Jardin Corona is our neighborhood Mexican food dive. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Margaritas are great. Salsa is excellent - REAL salsa, not that ketchup stuff they serve at Chuy's. They now have black beans - best tasting black beans in town. You don't typically go to a Mexican food dive for this, but they have this GREAT shrimp salad. It's a bed of mixed greens topped with these tasty charbroiled jumbo shrimp with your choice of salad dressing. I like to get the Italian dressing and mix salsa into it. They have a daily lunch special Monday thru Friday. Mondays is 2 enchiladas, rice, and refried beans - $6.

We had dinner here on 1 July. Food was excellent. I had the shrimp tacos with black beans and rice. Waiter was excellent. He had a great sense of humor. Service was spot on and quick without hovering. Would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys Mexican cuisine.

I recently had dinner here with my kids, it was a Saturday night and we got there pretty early but the place was still pretty crowded. From the outside it's a nondescript location in a nondescript strip mall, but inside it's a large and welcoming space. My kids were happy with the kids quesadilla, the portions were good-sized and very reasonably-priced. They have a really expansive menu that spans multiple Mexican and Tex-Mex options, so most folks should be able to find something they'll like. I had one of their specials, a huge shrimp chimichanga dish and it was very, very good. It had a queso sauce, which was tasty but not overwhelming. I also really enjoyed the rice and the beans, again very generously portioned. I was impressed with their margarita, and they have a full bar and typical selection of beers that you'd expect to find at a Mexican restaurant. They have a few vegetarian items, but our server told me the beans and rice are not vegetarian, so that's something to think about if you have a vegetarian in your party. There are any number of incredible Mexican and Tex-Mex options in Austin, I would not put Jardin Corona in that category but I would put it just outside the elite. Solid food from start to finish, in a nice environment and at a very reasonable price point.

This restaurant has amazing food at a reasonable price. Notehing fancy, just really good! My favorite is the chicken fajita nachos and the mexican martini.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. Always a full house any day of the week...a true sign of a great restaurant!! The frozen margaritas are wonderful, and the food is great!!

Service was quick and friendly. Nice portion size for the price. Nothing outstanding but not bad at all. Salsa was a little on the bland side as was the rice, beans were the typical thing from a can. Salsa verde on my enchiladas was pretty tasty. The table next to me ordered fajitas; they looked and smelled amazing!

We visit Austin quite a bit, and we always come here. We try different dishes because we've never had a disappointment. Yummy good food, friendly service, casual atmosphere, reasonable prices. What more could we ask?

Many places around Austin sell Fajitas but by far the Beef Fajitas a la Mexicana are the best I have tasted. Best ask for extra napkins as these are very juicy. The fajitas are cooked with sauteed onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapenos. They are spicy, for those that do not want jalapenos they offer the dish without them. This dish is served with the normal fixings.

Yes I know if y'all weren't raised down here traditional TexMex is passe. But for those of us from here when it's done right it's manna from heaven. What's the true test for a TexMex restaurant? The beef enchiladas platter of course. And Jardin Corona does 'em better than anyone else in the Austin area. The enchiladas themselves are coarse cut ground beef mixed with just a little onion in a perfect corn tortilla with an excellent rojas sauce. Not brown, not orange but true red and absolutely smooth in texture and taste. Refried beans are the make or break and maybe toughest part of the enchilada platter to pull off and these arrive hot, thick and creamy. Not burned at the edge of the plate and not runny or crusted on top. Just perfect for mixing with the rice or your enchiladas or even better being sopped up with a rolled corn tortilla on the side. I usually pass on Spanish rice 'cause most places make it with too much saffron but here it's light and as a result the rice is more than just edible. So, 'nuff said. If enchiladas or any of a myriad of other great TexMex dishes are your thing then Jardin Corona is your place.

The BEST place for both food and drinks in North Austin. Love the patio, something they've improved over the years more and more, and a great place to drink and smoke with friends. They don't shy away from making the drinks extra strong, with high points going to both the Mexican Martinis and the frozen margaritas. Great salsa, awesome chimichanga, and the Pechuga Jardin is truly legendary. Wow! I've been coming to this place since it was half this size and Jardin is the best!

Excellent top shelf margaritas. Wonderful tex-mex food. Good breakfast. We eat here almost every Friday night, reasonable prices, nice people.

A co-worker recommended this restaurant, but not this location. Menu is full and varied and the prices are decent. Tonight must have been a party night as tons of very loud people. They have a patio which seems nice on the right night. Looks like a full bar and I heard the margaritas as very good. I had the Chile Relleno w/beef fajita and it was good and full. The fajita meat was not as tasty as I was expecting. Chips are thin and crispy and the salsa was good. My server was very efficient, but not very friendly. Parking is a premium in this strip center as it's filled with lots of businesses. Location looks like it will accommodate large parties without a problem.
Not what the rating says...yuck!
The fajita meat was too peppery and rubbery. Cheese enchiladas had tasteless gravy not Tex-Mex chili gravy and had velvetta inside. Terrible food.
