If you love good music and dark atmospheres you will love Jazz Alley. There are great seats to be had regardless of whether you are just having cocktails or a full dinner. The dining guest do get the better seats but there are still really good seats if you are just having cocktails. The food is a bit over priced and the staff is reserved, but I mainly go for the music. I do love their Manhattan's. I have seen some great performances over the years!

Go for the show. It's just an added plus that you can sit and enjoy dinner and drinks along with the show. Small venue makes every seat a good one. The food is yummy and the service is very good. Very attentive staff. Our show started at 7:30pm and we arrived at 6pm for dinner. I was worried it might be too early before the show but it worked out perfectly. We were able to enjoy our dinner and drinks before the show started and then dessert while we listened to the music. Dinner is not included in the ticket price of the show. You do not need to purchase dinner in order to go to the show.

Great venue for music. The acoustics were excellent and where we sat, the balcony, we had a good view of Burt and his ensemble. A nostalgic evening made even more special with the good meal we had. I had the aragula salad which was great and I had a delicious corn muffin on the side. My wife had the salmon which was also good. The only zinfandel they had on the wine list was excellent too. Natasha Sta. Clara, who waited on us, made the night even more memorable. Her parents are from the Philippines, which explained her sense of humor. She was very friendly and gave us tips on where to go for good karaoke in Seattle. Next time I am in Seattle, i will look for the jazz shows in Jazz Alley.

Best cheesecake I've ever had in my life...not too sour tasting, not too sweet, not to firm, not to soft, JUST PERFECT!!!!!

Jazz Alley has a great website that answers most everything and reading reviews from TripAdvisor should fill in the rest of the blanks. We arrived at 6pm for appies, drinks and dinner prior to the performance. Dress is quite casual and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Study the menu beforehand so you get an idea of what to expect. Service is very efficient but also fast moving..do not be afraid to flag down your server as they pass on by, they will quickly get you what you need. As many other reviews have mentioned the food is good however it is fairly quickly prepared and priced to reflect that you are at a live jazz venue - as long as you do not have grand dinner expectations I think you will be pleased. Drink menu is reasonably diverse with a local flair. The intimate atmosphere is awesome and the acoustics of the sound system and room integrate very well. I commend the owners who really have found a great balance between engaging you in the music but not blowing you out of the room. As a couple not including tickets expect to spend somewhere $150 - $200 if you want to enjoy an appetizer and a few drinks. For the atmosphere, good food and amazing live jazz it is an experience that is very worthwhile.

Great venue, friendly and efficient service, sound for live music well established...city centre location and although we didn't try the food this time, it looked and smelled amazing! Will be back.

Dinner and a concert, every seat within 50 feet of the stage. Jazz alley brings in performers like Mose Allison, John Mayall, Taj Mahal, Ernestine Anderson and many more small venue performers at a reasonable cost. Enjoy dinner before the show from a menu with good choices that range from pasta to oysters. The Watermellon/Feta Tower is highly recommended for starters. Draught beer and a well curated bar. Attentive service.

I recently saw Elvin Bishop at Jazz Alley. The venue is terrific since it is small with good sound. This is a really fun way to spend an evening.

Recently my wife and I met my brother and his girlfriend at Jazz Alley to listen to East Bay Soul. We ordered dinner before the show and it arrived quickly. I ate a steak that melt in my mouth, it was one of the best I have ever eaten. The spices used were very tasty. My wife ordered a grilled chicken salade with pineapple and other fruits and nuts. She thoroughly enjoyed it. After dinner the show started. If you have not heard East Bay Soul with Greg Adams, treat yourself and buy the CD. Greg and some of the other members were members of Tower of Power. The have a great sound and are thoroughly entertaining in person. Overall, our experience was outstanding, great food and great jazz. The club is an intimate setting and has great acoustics. Free parking too! Go forth and enjoy a fine evening!

As one begins to write a review, the question is tell people about the venue, the meal, the atmosphere, and the service. The venue, the atmosphere, and the service were, as always, terrific, but our our calamari first course was undercooked, and my glass of syrah had been open too long. I hesitate to send things back. I'm confident had I done so our server and the house would have replaced both. We've had great meals here in the past and will do so again, but our meal last night was not to the standard we've come to expect here.

Have dinner there so you can reserve the best seats. Food is actually pretty good so worth the extra $. Free parking next door. Some one hit wonders but also some greats. Been here at least 10 times in 6 years. Can't wait to go back.

Went to show and dinner here while staying in Seattle pre cruise. Great venue. Worth every penny. The dinner was good and our table was upfront ( you get better table when eating dinner there). The show was great. Just a great way to spend time in this wonderful city.

Great musicians and good food. Easy to make online reservations but be warned you have to register on the website before the site will let you make those reservations.

Enjoy the show but don't expect great food. It's okay food but not as good as it should be for the price. The fish cakes seemed pre-cooked and came dry with lots of mayo style sauce. My grilled chicken salad was also mediocre - the chicken was pounded flat, very dry, and lukewarm on a plate of salad doused in dressing on a plate so cold it could have been a fridge pre-prepared. My date had the seafood in broth - he flavors hinted at promise but overall it was just okay. The service was efficient and prompt. The food is more than edible. And it is enjoyable to eat while listening to the show so may be worth it especially because diners get the first choice of seating. Select seating a bit further back from the front of the stage or it's too close. The balcony is a nice choice for two.

love the venue. you can choose to have dinner and hear great shows in relatively intimate space, or just hit the bar and drink through a set. Haven't been disappointed yet!

We went to hear Earl Klugh and have a nice dinner. A miss on both. It took twenty minutes into the set before they could get Earl Klugh's guitar to work - no sound. Ever heard of a sound check? Even when they got his guitar to function the sound man had him so far down in the mix that we could hear everybody BUT Earl Klugh. Since Jazz Alley has two seatings they couldn't add the two songs that Earl missed onto the back end of the set. Did we get a reduction on our bill for the missed songs - nope! The food and service were truly less than mediocre. An hour wait to get a really 'chewy' steak ? Do we send it back and wait another hour to get another steak? The waiter gave me someone else's drink. He kept apologizing for the delay for our entrees. The wait staff never fails to disappoint. Nor does the kitchen. Were they surprised that people were there expecting to get their food cooked correctly, in a reasonable time frame, and of reasonable quality. If Jazz Alley can't handle what they advertise, make changes! Well over $200 for tickets and meal with drinks? Considering all the issues there is NO way last evening was worth half of that. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

Dinner and amazing blues. And then another show and another bottle of wine. He had the prime rib, I had the new york steak. Beets as starter were bright and flavorful. Good selection of wine and a full bar. But you know?, the music was the best part.

Jazz Alley is a Seattle treasure! It is the premier performing venue for the creme de la creme of jazz artists in the Pacific Northwest. Among my favorites this past year have been Bill Friisell and Taj Mahal. Amazing performers and trule virtuosos. But any act Jazz Alley books can be counted on to be well worthwhile. You must make reservations, and you can make them for dinner or just for the show, of which there are usually two each evening. Seats are reserved, but every booth and table provides an excellent view of the performer. Get as close as you can by booking early. You will never forget it.

yes.. a Jazz Alley dive as it should be. Very good list of Jazz musicians as guests. A great gem of a place in the Pacific Northwest.

Food was good, a little overpriced relative to the offering. Main allure is the dinner club feel..like something out of Mad men. Because they do 2 shows per evening, does feel like you are rushed out a bit once the show is done.

Featuring top jazz. Usicians in a venue that is a combo of jazz club and classy restaurant, every table has a good view of the stage. There's a cover charge, and meals are fairly expensive, but you can enjoy drinks without eating. On a first visit, we paid highest to sit right by the stage. Wouldn't do it again as the drums kept us from enjoying the guitar and piano. Would definitely opt for a table center balcony.

An intimate jazz club atmosphere. Sit back and relax for the music after you have enjoyed a lovely dinner and a fine cocktail. There is not a bad seat in the house. An intimate setting to enjoy the performance of your chosen artist.

Had a wonderful time. I saw spyro gyro very impressive! The sound was good. Food was so-so and servive was alright. Diffently go!

My wife and I visited here on our wedding anniversary. We did not eat dinner here so I can't comment on the food. I did see people ordering food and it seemed decent enough but we didn't have any. We did order drinks which were fine but a little overpriced. However, the music was really worth the time. I think it was about 2 or 2.5 hours worth of music. I have been a jazz lover for a long time and this was the first opportunity to see it played live so I really had a great experience. Maybe next time will try the food.

Wonderful service, good location, and reasonable prices for dining, drinking, and entertainment. Very comfortable, not a bad seat in the house!

This is one of the best places to go in Seattle to watch name acts perform in a relatively intimate setting. Food is okay and the service is friendly and prompt. I've seen three shows here and have enjoyed the experience each time.

This venue never fails to satisfy, at a reasonable price. The musicians magically seque into a performance zone appropriate for the size of the room and, regardless of where you sit, you can see and hear everything. No more having to bring binoculars or strain your eyes trying to watch favorite artists do their thing. Then you add food...! Many people choose to come for the show and cocktails but I always go early to get a seat up front and have a terrific, relaxed meal while waiting for the show to begin. A full bar, a wide range of expertly prepared apps and entrees and friendly, capable wait staff are the key to having an exceptional and memorable experience. Just saw Lydia Pense and Cold Blood and they blew the door off!

Very nice club setting. Sound was fantastic. Small intimate venue. I was in town for business and it just so happened Grace Kelly was performing (by the way - she's absolutely awesome!). Since I was a party of one, the Jazz Alley totally limits my seating options. It appears their biggest profit margin is made from their expensive dinners. Even though I bought dinner, as a party of one my seating options were second class. I opted to sit at the bar (front row of the bar, seat 7 is a great seat - clear line view of the stage).

Chicken too lemony! Service good. Desserts good. Coke not coke! Jazz good! Parking good next door. Nicely furnished. Bathrooms clean.

We had an amazing evening! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The music was great! My favorite place in Seattle and new must-do every visit!

Spent a night listening to Manhattan Transfer and was taken back in time! Loved it and seating is well set.

Was recently at Jazz Alley to list to one of my all time favorites Kenny G...EXCELLENT SHOW! Would've stayed for the 2nd show but it was sold out and we wanted others to enjoy it as well. The soup and salad I had was just right and left me some room for sorbet. We will be looking forward to our next visit! Tower of Power!

we just happened on the place. no reservations, and the table was right by the stage. food was perfect. service was immpeccable. entertainment was top notch. worth the money, and it wasn't cheap. glad we found it by accident.

The music was amazing. I was sitting next to a local who said the quality of the music was good but even he was blown away by this particular night. The only downside to the evening was the seating. As a single person not having dinner there were, understandably, limited places to sit but being at the bar meant having to spend the entire performance turned round which wasn't great for my back. The staff were a little noisy during quiet sections of the music which is understandable, but noticeable because the seats were so close to the kitchen. I'd definately go again if I go to Seattle. But I'm going to pick my seating with more care.

I flew into to Seattle to visit my niece, great niece and great great niece on December 17th. We had planned this trip since early November. We were headed to Jazz Alley tonight. My niece was informed that her reservation was for December 17. When she got home she realized some how she had messed up. The manager told her they could fit us in but we would have to rebuy our tickets for $192. We typically end up spending at least $100 per person for food at the least. She and her family have been going there for years and it is not unusual for her to go with 6 to 10 people. She said can you please give me a break I do not know how this happened, but we are here, it is Christmas. He said sorry $192 or no entry. Well we have been going to see the performers, some are good and my nephew being a musician has known many of the performers, since he plays in Boston, New York, RI, Las Vegas, Italy and the Caribbean to name a few. But he will tell you many are just B- as he would say. The food has always been very expensive and nothing really outstanding. Needless to say we will never be back and will highly recommend that none of our friends frequent the place also. These people obviously have no holiday spirit at all.

Our daughter and son-in-law wanted to take us to a dinner theatre in Seattle and suggested Dimitrou's Jazz Alley in downtown Seattle. Good choice! The meal was tasty and the service excellent. The live entertainment, the a Capella Grammy-winning jazz and gospel sextet, Take Six, were outstanding. They kept the audience enraptured for over ninety minutes. Not cheap but well worth the price. A most enjoyable evening.

Sorry folks I can't rate the food because unfortunately we didn't eat dinner there. But we had a dessert and some wine and that was great. I love supper club environments and the Jazz Alley is a perfect place to relax and enjoy some first class entertainment. The parking is free and very convenient. The staff was excellent - Micah was our server and he was fantastic. Some advice: plan on eating dinner there and get a table somewhere close to the stage. On the other side of 6th almost directly across from the Jazz Alley is a "interesting structure" built by Amazon that is free to tour on the first floor. BTW - if this short review was worth anything I would appreciate a "helpful" vote. That goes for you too - Bill Gates!

This now - legendary stop for the best international Jazz artists is as cool as ever, is a five-minute walk from all the best restaurants and other Seattle downtown hotels and attractions, and their roster of the most varied and eclectic of performers is really one of the best in the world. Up there with Blue Note in Tokyo, Ronnie Scott's in London, Jazz Cafe in Camden Town and a very few others with such brave booking policy.

Had dinner last night at Jazz Alley and was very impressed. I loved the venue, entertainment, food, service and menu. Loved all of it. Great Jazz venue, thank you for a great night.

I often end up in Jazz Alley to see groups I like since they most often end up playing here. The venue is great and the show I've seen so far are wonderful. The dinner is little pricey but decent.

I went to my first performance at Jazz Alley three months ago and, since then, I have been back 4 more times! Absolutely FANTASTIC! It really doesn't matter what table you get, they are all terrific. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly rnjoyed our meals last night. We had the Prosciutto appetizer, squash soup, Iceberg wedge and albacor tuna salad. For dessert we indulged in milten chocolate cake and espresso ice cream, which was much lighter than anticipated but still delicious. The wine selection is not huge, but really quite good. Wait staff were efficient , hrlpful and friendly. All in all a great night out and free parking to boot!

Excellents service, fine food and great music are the hallmarks of JA. I would have to say the music is the most important of these because that is, after all, why we all go there. Still, the management knows how to please its customers beyond this. My wife and I have been many timesover the years and are never disappointed. The servers and attendant staff are courteous, efficient, and helpful. The menu is surprisingly varied, not outrageous in price, and well prepared and served. We watch the schedule carefully and plan months ahead for a dinner show on a Sunday evening thus obtaining optimal seating, with meals that have consistently been first rate. Compared to San Francisco or L.A. clubs, it is a bargain: hands-down, the best jazz venue in the city. A classy place with classy entertainment -- one of Seattle's gems.

The food and service are quite good although the main draw is the music of course. Soups are tasty and pasta dishes have a touch of originality. Wait staff is amazingly efficient and friendly.

We just happened to be in town when Chick Corea was there. The music was great, but the food was just average. We were a party of 4, and none of us REALLY enjoyed the food. It was OK at best. The fact the the waiters keep running between all the tables all the time is also disturbing a bit.

We went there for dinner and a show. First, let me tell you the food was excellent. Wine choice was good, and food was even better. The nights entertainment was a jazz group who didn't fail. We had a great time. We'll be back soon!

With its banquettes and candlelit tables, Jazz Alley is a throwback to supper clubs of yore. The room layout ensures a good line of sight to the stage and performers. Drinks and wine are typical prices for this type of venue. The service is efficient and friendly, with wait staff that both understands the needs of the diners and respects the artists who are performing. The food is surprisingly good. We started with fried calamari, which was less rubbery than some restaurants known for their seafood. The salmon was prepared and seasoned perfectly, with a light lemon sauce that highlighted without overpowering the fish. The one pasta dish, Rigatoni Bolognese, was robust and flavorful. We shared several desserts, including cheesecake and tiramisu, and everyone at the table licked their plates. All in all, definitely a great place to see a jazz performance.

Found the place on the Internet from uk and booked it, welcome was good food was great but music for us was not to our taste, jazz rock......just a lot of noise!! Wouldn't stop me going again or recommending it you have to try

Food was surprisingly good for a jazz club, and - unlike other jazz clubs - you’re not sitting on some stranger’s lap from lack of space. Very comfortable seating, and I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. The act was super fun. Overall very happy we came here

I've seen great music performed at this intimate clubs since the 80's. This past weekend, we enjoyed Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin. It was a perfect performance that included a very nice dinner. The coconut shrimp were terrific. Our server was also just great bringing me a refill of my beverage before I had to ask. The entire staff at Jazz Alley has the show organization down pat. Can't wait to go again.

I have only been here once but everything was great, from the seating, to the entertainment, to the food and staff. I was very impressed and can't wait to return.

We went to Jazz Alley for dinner and a Taj Mahal concert last night. One of us had salmon and the other short ribs. Both were excellent, as was the wine selection. Taj Mahal was wonderful! The sound was well balanced and just the right volume. Wonderful evening.

Every jazz fan should try to make an effort to visit this Seattle Classic establishment. Eat and/or drink but rest assured you will enjoy the entertainment and there is not a bad seat in the house.

The variety of jazz that comes through Jazz Alley is amazing. It is most likely all good, although I can't make it to many of them. But the ones I have seen have set pretty high standards. Seattle has been a great jazz town since the 1960s in my experience. I know it was seriously into jazz before that. Jazz Alley keeps the interest up. My kudos to them.

Went at the last minute to check out the Chick Corea show - didn't have a ticket, but the staff were able to find me a seat with a great view in the bar area & just added the ticket to my tab. Staff were super nice & it was not overpriced for this kind of venue. I enjoyed some New Orleans themed crab cakes and a cocktail or two. The artists walk through the room to get to the stage, and are very accessible before or after the show. I will definitely be back - best Jazz venue in Seattle!

This is a great place to grab a cocktail and listen to some good music. We like the casual atmosphere and try to stop by when ever we are in the city.

Great venue for seeing your favorite artists while dining. We saw Boney James last year and really enjoyed the experience of dining while listening to his music. I would definitely return.

Great music and food. Sometimes it can be a little annoying to hear people with knives and forks and clanking when you're trying to listen to some smooth jazz music but, overall a great entertainment venue.

I have been able to enjoy performances at the Jazz Alley that I would not enjoy in Vancouver. I have seen Sophie Milman, Peter White and Roberta Gambarini and neither were scheduled to perform subsequently in Vancouver. Service is excellent and the food is better than one would expect.

Nice place to relax and refresh your mind. Food and service are good. Well-known domestic and international musicians.

Great food, lovely venue fantastic band called Davina and The Vagabonds. Large food portions but very good for this kind of venue. The seating is great with plenty of space and good views of the stage.

We went to see Herb Alpert and Lonnie hall. Great show, and superb venue. The food is very good and the service as well.

Went to see Lisa Fisher perform at Jazz Alley. The club is wonderful, both visually and acoustically. The food was a nice surprise, as well.

My 1st experience was in 2005, 20 years.. see Jazz Alley service really slipped post COVID. Jazz Alley used to feel welcoming, but now long waits, inattentive staff, and a lack of care make the experience frustrating. On top of that, the added service charges don’t seem to benefit the servers—service quality doesn’t reflect the extra fees. Happy to support fees but should result in genuine hospitality. JA stop alignment service with the awesome shows, the experience feels disappointing.

It had been some years since we'd been to Dimitrou's Jazz Alley, and the years have been good to it. Jazz Alley has continued its' tradition of being Seattle's premier jazz venue. This time we were there to see Manhattan Transfer, a show that didn't disappoint. All seating is close to the stage. If you are having dinner, you will be seated on the main floor. If you are here just for the show, you will be seated on the balcony. The food and service is good. If there are two shows, though, and you are attending the first, you will not be allowed to linger. The crowd for the second show is already lined up outside. By the way, the show admission you pay goes to Pacific Jazz Institute, a 501c3 non-profit that supports jazz in the Pacific Northwest. Free parking is provided at a lot across from Jazz Alley. And as the name indicates, the entrance is on the alley between 5th and 6th on Lenora.

The venue is very small and intimate. He was great and it was a very enjoyable evening...probably a once in a lifetime performance for the audience.

The place is perfect to listen a good jazz, however don't expect to be treated well. The place is only to go and listen good jazz, food is below average and the service is terrible. I tried to complain to the manager about my wine being served warm, and he literally told me "those are my rules" take it or leave it...Very rude person.

seats in last row were great for us b/c the music set up is very loud, i would not enjoy it up front. Keep in mind that lights are mostly dimmed in the room. We were glad that we came after having dinner in the hotel restaurant nearby, and it would be difficult for me to eat here, as i could hardly see my glass of wine on the table. I like that they do not impose two drinks rule here like they do it in SF clubs.

Top notch professional from all over stop here on their tours. Recently saw Tower of Power, Manhattan Transfer, Kurt Elling ect. We travel from Olympia to Seattle because we can always count on the quality of the performances. It great sound in a small club setting. Great ambiance with decent food if you come for dinner as well. Enjoy we always have.

We found this jazz place by accident. Right near our hotel Very good food for dinner but you don't need to eat you can just see the show. Intimate friendly very reasonable prices.

If only this were near home, my wife and I would be known by the staff on a first-name basis! Great venue for jazz and other music acts. Friendly and helpful staff Good food, decent selection Good wine list as well Good drink list on top of that In the days where the supper-club is mostly extinct, Jazz Alley keeps it going! I wish I could "rubber-stamp" you in Phoenix!

We've been going here for music for almost 20 years. No complaints about Jazz Alley as a music venue. Every few years we break down and try the dinner, and then we remember our disappointment from the last time we tried the dinner. The menu is stodgy, the cooking is indifferent, and the service is erratic. My advice is to go for drinks and maybe order a mezze plate if you feel peckish, but to get dinner at a place that specializes in food.

For an evening of world class Jazz in an intimate setting, this club cannot be beat! Food is delicious, a bit pricey & worth it. I have been to the club dozens of times over the years and cannot get over how lucky we are to have it here! Even the furthest seat from the stage is only about 50 feet from you. An experience not to be missed if you are a jazz fan.

Highlight of our four days in Seattle. Taj Mahal is getting frail but he’s still got it! Good food, too. Not a bad seat in the house and service was good and unobtrusive.

A wonderful setting, electric atmosphere, great food in a rocking hot environment once the music begins

we went to see chris botti this was my first time in jazz alley . all the tables had a view and we had some good tickets they were real close to the stage..i thought the food prices were a bit high, but it is a dinner club and they want to give the idea of fine dining . its going to be my newest favorite place as a music venue .

We've recently seen Tower of Power and Oz Noy at Jazz Alley, and it remains one of our favorite places to spend an evening out. The room is warm and inviting with excellent sound, and the food is quite good, far better than you'd expect from a place focused on the music. The menu is fairly limited but they always get the steak just right, which isn't true everywhere in Seattle. Support live music in one of the finest jazz venues in the country (even the artists agree - just ask them!).

There is nothing better than seeing one of your favorite musicians perform live. Jazz Alley makes this possible by bringing in top talent. The setting is upscale but comfortable. The service is fast and efficient. The focus is on the music. We saw Roy Hargrove blow the trumpet. The members of his Quintet were outstanding musicians in their own way. The sax player was probably the strongest. But the pianist, bass player, and drummer could hold their own.Innovative and classic. And who knew Roy Hargrove could sing? That was the frosting on the cake. I've listened to his CD a hundred times but live IS better. Comfortable seating with great, up close views of the performers. After the show I passed the musicians and thanked them. Check out upcoming shows and reserve early. Food is good. I ordered the Ravioli with a glass of merlot. Two in our party ordered the special which was Lamb Shanks. Nice, reasonably priced wine selection. Waitstaff worked hard to keep the coffee, water, drinks flowing and the table clear. Service so effortless you barely notice it. Highly recommended.

Some of the greatest touring Jazz Artists out there visit regularly. I visited numerous times over the years and have listened to the best. Need I say more?

This is the tradiitional center of night jazz club acts in Seattle. Tables/stools and chairs in the balcony, good scene.

What a wonderful way to spend an evening. Get a good seat, have some dinner, then sit back and enjoy the show. It's worth the trip!

Enjoy great jazz and very good food at Jazz Alley. It is an opportunity to see national talent in a very intimate setting. Both sight lines and sound are excellent. Have been there on numerous occasions and have always been impressed.

Jazz Alley is a throw back to the old "supper clubs". The ambience is cool and you just get a good feeling as you go down the stairs. I have been here several times now and have never had a bad meal. The wine list is decent and they have several different beers on tap. The salads are wonderful and I have had a different entree each time and all have been very good. I have only been with friends, but this would make a great "date night" experience. I highly recommend it!

If you're looking for a great night out with your honey , friends this is the place . I've been here several times for some great venues . Drinks are good , music venues vary from specific artist so the selection is always changing . Food is mediocre though you have a choice of dinner show or just cocktails . It's a Seattle institution and I've enjoyed every visit there. If you're looking for a fun night out , this is the spot . They also have parking !

While you are walking around check it out. worth seeing if you are out and about. But walk slow or you will go right by it.

Wonderful jazz in a lovely, romantic setting. We enjoyed appetizers and delicious wine. Best night of our long weekend in Seattle. Highly recommend Jazz Alley.

Nice intimate setting for experiencing great jazz... and the food/menu was very diverse and well prepared. Check out Jazz Alley when you visit Seattle.

Having attended many concerts at Jazz Alley, Seattle, this is truly one of the most romantic and best nights out to attend various concerts in any venue in the country! The food is simply fantastic and service above Too shelf! Pick your show and enjoy!!

We spent our last two anniversaries--50 and 51--at Jazz Alley, listening to Lee Rittenauer and his band. We had perfect seats in the balcony where we could see and hear everything that was going on. The music was fantastic. They played from 7:30 until 9:15, without intermission. We wanted more! We thought the food was good and the service was great. We would go to Jazz Alley much more often except that our commute is long from New Mexico.

Last night I saw Grammy Winner Richard Cohn at Jazz Alley and had a wonderful time. His music was soulful and meaningful. This is one of Seattle's best places and features some of the worlds greatest musicians in an intimate setting. Dinner is always good and you will need to get there early if you want to have a meal. Their location is in the middle of the city. They open at 6pm which is the height of commuter traffic so getting there by car will be a challenge in heavy traffic so give yourself plenty of time if you plan on driving. Bring your credit card because this kind of entertainment is not cheep. You can pay as much as $100 per person for show tickets and dinner and drinks are on top of that. In the end you will leave with a feeling that you have had a great and unique experience. A very satisfying and joyful experience overall.

I feel conflicted giving such a review. This club is an icon in the Seattle jazz scene. They've always brought top notch talent to the stage, and that's actually what Jazz Alley contributes. The acoustics are great, the stage can be seen by all, and there is a second level that allows diners to look down onto the action-- really nice. Food is always so-so. There is a variety so everyone can enjoy something regardless of restrictions. An effort is made to make the entrees special. But often they don't quite deliver all the way; for example, my lasagne (Sept 2015) was very tasty, but slightly cold in the middle, and the cheese barely thawed. Timing on the first set is always a problem because the room has to be cleared quickly to accommodate the second set's crowd lining up. Our dinner timeline was odd-- we waited for half an hour before salads came, and then entrees came about one minute after that. Not so good, especially on small tables. Although the place was packed, they installed the seating and there's an expectation on the diner's part that the establishment will handle the timing properly. Our server was hostile. He avoided checking on his section, and when he did and we asked for something such as water, he forgot or did the wrong thing. Toward the end, he dropped the check on us before dessert was considered a possibility, and although the band was finished, there were lots of other parties still seated. Dessert was denied, and we were asked to leave to make room for the next wave! The fact that this establishment is a restaurant means it has to be treated as such; therefore I'm giving it 3 out of five stars-- average. Nevertheless, if you want to see great jazz in a nice setting and keep that focus rather than try to eat, you'll be impressed.

Great atmosphere for live music with good food. Easy location in the middle of it all in Seattle. Large enough for a big crowd but small enough to still be intimate

We were only the second party to arrive at 90 minutes before the show. We started with a bottle of cava, which was a little sweet for Spanish brut. My date ordered poke. It was an enormous portion for a starter. It tasted fresh. No complaints. I ordered crab cocktail. I think I got six large, perfect legs of meat. They came end up in cocktail sauce on a bed of cabbage. The cocktail sauce was overwhelming. I would order it on the side next time. I followed up with the beef short rib. It was exactly what I was looking for - well cooked, melt-in-your-mouth, no fat, not bone. Very good brown sauce with mushrooms. I asked for more and got another small bowl within less than a minute! Great wine list. I got a glass of the Alexandria Nicole Jet Black Syrah from Horse Haven Hills, Eastern Washington and wasn't disappointed. Our server informed us they weren't serving prime rib that night. We asked why and she explained they don't buy it when ticket sales are on the low side and they can't be assured of selling out. Our server was really nice. She had a very quiet, easy going manner and totally with it. She kept our champagne glasses topped up most of the time. A different person whisked our steaming mains from the kitchen to our table. It was all well orchestrated. We were well taken care of, yet the staff did not detract from the show.

The prime rib and new york steak are as good as any high-end steakhouse. Remarkably good prices on excellent wine . . . are you hearing this, Altura? One note - do keep in mind that this is not a true night club . . . the performances are superbly curated, and perhaps for that reason, talking while the act is playing is frowned upon - they graciously warn you of this as you are seated, but goodness, as my wife said . . . only faux connoisseurs demand that everyone visibly and silently 'appreciate the performance' . . it's not a broadway play folks, it's a nightclub!

Although Jazz Alley is rather large, it looks and feels like an intimate supper club. Our party of four had a lovely table close to and to the right of the stage. Service and dinner were very good. My husband and one friend had the sole served with asparagus and grape tomatoes. The fish was moist and tender. Our other friend had chicken piccata. The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. I had shrimp with grits and greens. The cheesy grits were delicious. The greens were fresh and the shrimp melted in your mouth. The wine list was extensive. We enjoyed an excellent white wine from the Napa Valley. We saw Arturo Sandovar. The food, the service and especially the show were great!

What can be said of jazz Alley that hasen't been said before. Namely, that wherever you are seated will work for seeing the performer and hearing the music. The closer to the stage is better for that intimate feel but if you are seeing a large group(Tower of Power) be advised that halfway back is good for the overall veiw of the stage. food is always good. Whether it be fish or meat. If you allow yourself ample time before show starts for eating you'll be rewarded with great service and hot dishes. Marnie was a gem. All of our needs were covered by the entire staff, from the hostess who checked my coat to the busperson. ADA accessible.

I just triply happened upon this website while searching for an evening activity in Seattle. We had originally planned to attend the jazz show but after reading reviews on Trip Advisor opted for dinner too. Oh my gosh what a great choice! This club is quaint, clean, roomy, in a good location, our dinner was perfect. Salmon was juicy and flavorful. Good wine list, efficient service, all seats seemed good for the show. We walked back after the show approx. nine blocks to our hotel and it was very safe. I would highly recommend this club. It was a highlight of our three days in the city.

Seen four acts to-date. Never disappointed. Make dinner reservations 30 - 45 mins before show time and enjoy a great night out!

The title says it all. The food is palatable but I'd characterize it as something you have to put up with to be able to get good seating for a show.

Our first time at Jazz Alley. A good experience. Great show with Tower of Power. Good food. Good drinks. The atmosphere is nice. One thing that I did not like, I would estimate that at least half the tables are on the sides of the stage. And, with a large band, two rows of perhaps 6 people each, you could really only see a couple of people on the ends well. So, I did not like the overall set up of the room. And, with the total price for show, food, and drink quite high, not sure that I will return. But, good to experience it at least once.

Serious jazz fans, we have never elsewhere here nor abroad found such a nice balance of space, sound quality, unpretentious, yummy menu and best quality and diverse bookings of local and international acts. Plus, love the new on-line seating selection options. Try to go every month or two.

My husband and I go to the New Years Eve event every year. When we went this year we were concerned that although our dinner included a salad and soup as well as the entree, the server told us that we didn’t have to have them. It felt like he was trying to talk out of having these courses. I originally sent in a lower review rating (which I subsequently deleted) because of that as it was troubling to us. Within a day or so of the review posting, Rachel from Jazz Alley responded and contacted us. She said this seemed odd and promised to research it. She notified the owner who contacted the server who said that his intent was merely to let people know that they had the option but it was included in the charge. Rachel shared all this info with me, expressed their apologies for the misunderstanding and offered us certificates for a future show even though I told her it was not necessary. This is a family run business that is definitely interested in customer satisfaction. We have been going to Jazz Alley for years and are looking forward to the years ahead. I can’t recommend them highly enough. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. And the entertainment is outstanding!

We saw Pearl Django here, and enjoyed the venue. The half-star demotion was for the rushed feeling the server worked our table with. We were first timers, and didn't realize there were hard and fast times we needed to get everything done in; a quick overview of this before we began would have alleviated this, I think. We loved the venue, the audio, the feeling, the food.

We totally enjoyed Jazz Alley--we saw a couple of bands there -had excellent seats, drinks and eats. Service was great Sound level was perfect-and these folks know what they're doing---well oiled machine

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Jazz Alley. We had the pleasure of listening to Dianne Schurr, great show. Our food was really good, two appetizers, the squid and crab cakes. The crab was seasoned with just that right amount of heat. We also had a delicious chocolate cake, I cannot remember the exact name, it was really yummy. The Jazz Alley coffee is a way to 'put hair on your Chest' , it was the most potent coffee ever! The service is slow, and we learned to be proactive in obtaining our seating.

Ive heard about Dimitriou's Jazz Alley in Seattle from friends who've been there several times. It featured known musicians (Kenny G, etc). We went there to catch Philip Bailey perform; he still got the cool voice. Good musicians with him too. The place is certainly a good place if one is in jazz. Staff is friendly and overall the place is nice. We tried some finger foods (also wine); nothing exceptional in taste but the music and the place makes sitting there really nice.

This was our first visit to Jazz Alley. The food was excellent and the Jazz even better. Easy access in the heart of Seattle. A fun night.

At the last minute we called to see if seats were available to see Booker T at Jazz Alley and were happy to get in to the second show. We walked over from the Mayflower and were greeted at door where a line was forming, awaiting the end of the first show. It wasn't too long of a wait and when we asked for the best seat possible, we were given a table right next to the stage. The tables are a bit close but it is a small venue. The food was good but in retrospect, I think I would just have cocktails or perhaps a finger food type snack so I could fully concentrate on the show. After the show, they had an opportunity to purchase CDs and have them signed by Booker which we did do, and met the other band members as well. For ambiance, I recommend a booth as they are a bit elevated so you can see over the 4-6 tables of people who are on the floor in front of the stage. For a close up view of the action, sit on the stage floor. Jazz Alley has long been on my list of places to go, and it is now on my list of must do's when I visit Seattle.

We have been to several shows over the last few years (even though we have to drive 75 miles) and always had a great experience. It's the perfect place to see a performer up close and personal. Only once or twice was the dinner service a little slow, but we weren't in a big hurry -- usually it is fine. The food is pretty good, a small but varied menu. Also they are happy to divide an entree for a small fee, for those of us who are not big eaters. Certainly better than buying two and wasting food and money. We always go on nights when there is only one show so as not to be hurried out the door, and the entertainers generally hang around to chat and sign autographs. Definitely one of our favorite places to go.

Great food , top notch band the Rippingtons this was a great time food price and quality was good but wine by the glass was very dear!

We are regulars at Jazz Alley. The food is superb, and they cater to special dietary requests easily. The acts that they bring in are top notch, and not just of interest to jazz enthusiasts. We've seen Tower of Power, The Manhattan Transfer, Four Play, and most recently, Acoustic Alchemy, among others. It's a real treat to go there, and I highly recommend it as one of the top Seattle music venues.

Awesome location. Accommodating staff. Excellent music. Food if you want including full supper menu. Small, cozy, sweet spot for quality music of all kinds all the time. Highly recommend Jazz Alley for individuals, couples, groups and families. Traveling on business looking for something to do - put Jazz Alley on your list - perhaps an act you have been wanting to see is playing. Top spot in Seattle for music. Coming from Canada make it an overnight and stay downtown. Easy walking distance to Jazz Alley and shops. Two Thumbs up for Jazz Alley.

The restaurant in itself was amazing. Very nice. Great music and they are always featuring great groups/bands The only issue I had was service. It took my server close to twenty minutes to approach me (the place was not busy either) Yes I understand majority of people are maybe only there for the music, but my total tab was over $70 and during the entire meal my server only came by twice. To take my order/dessert order. For that price I expected better service. The bus boy did more for me than her! And was more talkative too! The food was amazing! Otherwise, I didn't mind much at the time because I wanted to listen to the music anyways. In any other place, I would have walked out due to service.

Jazz Alley is a great way to see live performance in an intimate venue. They also serve food. So you really can make a nite of it. They have name performers there so check it out.

The meal service is fine, and the food average, but the entertainment is really top drawer. Granted, we enjoyed the incredibly talented Monty Alexander and his combo, but I cannot imagine them booking a bad act into this fun venue. My friend and I had front row seating, a table just below and slightly to the side of the piano. You choose your seating ahead of time on-line when you book, so that is extremely helpful. If you simply want to enjoy your date, perhaps something in the balcony would be better. If you are there primarily to enjoy the show, I definitely recommend sitting up front.

We love going to Jazz Alley for good music, with friends. Easy parking, great shows, good service and great food! I love the bouillabaisse! Great bar too, champagne to beer and everything in between.

We frequent Jazz Alley frequently and are never disappointed. Very entertainer and crowd friendly. NOTE: Park in the Westin Garage off 4th. Buy your tickets on-line and join the mailing list to make sure you get advance notice of acts.

First of all, let me say, we have been to Jazz Alley MANY times - we travel down from Vancouver, Canada often to enjoy dinner and music as Jazz Alley has been one of our favorite places for music and dining for years. Although the meal prices are a little steeper for us now with the exchange rate, our dishes were superb - every bite an absolute delight. Here is the difficult part - we are huge fans of Roy Hargrove and his performance last Sunday night was nothing short of uninspired. We can only surmise that he was "under the weather" and having a difficult time being present and getting through the show. He hardly played and when he did it was a whisper of his usual dynamic, inspired brilliance. It was supposed to be a celebratory occasion for us and turned out to be disappointing, sad, and regrettable for us. In fact, we were angry when we left! We wondered how it is possible that the management at Jazz Alley would book an act that was not up to the task. We have to wonder how the previous shows went as this was the last of four nights. The other four band members performed impeccably and carried the entire show - their brilliance and expertise were inspiring. However even their efforts could not cover the fact that the star of the show was not shining on Sunday.

This is a great jazz club. The artists are wonderful and the seating arrangement is creatively done so that all tables have a good view of the stage. However, the food is really quite bad. The "artisan" bread basket was filled with tough rubbery bread that we literally could not eat. The "butter" was either whipped shortening based or margarine, but most certainly not good butter as in other establishments. When we informed the waitress about the bread that was stale, she simply snarled, but did not comp or say anything else. My husband ordered the mix green salad with vinegar dressing and I ordered the Caesar as an appetizer. Both salads had Caesar dressing. The main entrees were equally just adequate - not truly terrible, but seemed like a restaurant or cruise ship that would mass produce food. It would be WONDERFUL if Jazz Alley could up the quality of the food. Then, this would be an incredible experience.

Amazing music, dancing in a restaurant, people in costume dancing in a Conga line having a great time. Good service for drinks.

Show was great. Food seriously sucked. What a waste of money. See a show but don't eat here. I had the sole that was so overlooked it was like rubber. Disgusting.

My first time at Jazz Alley was wonderful. Arrived early for dinner and was immediately pleased with the atmosphere. Feels like something you would see on tv. The staff was extremely courteous and arranged for a table on the second level balcony. We ordered appetizers, salad and dinner as well as drinks. The food was "good" but perhaps a little overpriced for what it was. I would give it 4/5 stars but the pricing is 5/5. Still, overall pleased with the food. The location of our seating was great. Our view of the stage perfect and the sound quality could not have been better. After the concert the bill for the food came very quickly and was processed very quickly which I like. When I'm done I'm done and ready to go so this was perfect. The only negative I could say is that the lighting was VERY dark. I had to use my iPhone to read the menu and I could see other people doing the same thing.

Be sure to check Jazz Alley out prior to visiting Seattle as they get some awesome entertainers! Nice cozy atmosphere!

An excited and last minute date night for my mom and I was amazing!! Such an intimate a warm spot. The wait staff was incredible. The meal was delicious. We both had the Cooper River Salmon, and of course the music was unforgettable!! I would recommend this to anyone.

My daughter and I went to a recent Larry Carlton concert. We arrived early so that we could have dinner before the show. In the balcony the tables are very closed together but all had pretty good views of the stage. The food was good and ample portion sizes. Pricing was a little high even considering the event. $4.50 for a Coke was a bit much. Never got a refill. Concert ticket prices were in addition to the meal prices. For the talent on stage they seemed about right. We will be back, but will find a way to reduce our food and drink expenses. All in all a wonderful evening.

I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. The sound is very good, food is good and well priced and the service if friendly. I highly recommend Dimitriou's Jazz Alley

I’ve been to Jazz Alley several times and I’ve been enjoying every show. The performers offered high quality acts. It seems that there’s no bad seats. I got a small table for two at the bar on my recent visit and it had a full straight view of the stage. The service was very professional. Hibiscus margarita was tasty. At the end of the show, I went to bathroom right as encore ended, and when I came out of bathroom, I encountered the performers in the small hallway between the bathrooms and bar as they were leaving which was a nice surprise. I’ve always got a non-dinner seating to have just drinks so I cannot comment on their dinner except for the prices seem high from glancing at the menus. It was easy to park at the garage right behind and get the ticket validated. Don’t forget to bring parking ticket and get it validated when you check in. We’ll definitely go back when we visit Seattle next time.

We were lucky enough to catch Euge Groove at the Jazz Alley. What a great saxophonist and supported by a fabulous band. We sat at the bar as the dining area was fully booked. Great atmosphere in a wonderful setting. We had some great drinks as we watched some very talented musicians thrash out some great jazz and Motown numbers. A great nite out and highly recommended.

May the club never die!! 'Up close and personal' entertainment at it's best. The service is very good and the food is fine. I live on my SS ck, so this is a treat that I save up for once/twice a year. Always packed to the rafters.

I love you Jazz Alley for keeping Seattle classy and jazzy. Great options in terms of music each monthly. I’ve seen many great shows here.

Cozy jazz club with great entertainment. We had tickets to Karyn Allison. The show was fabulous and inexpensive for such quality live entertainment! also, not a bad seat in the house. We opted to have appetizers instead of dinner. The service was less than perfect but I we really were not there for the service. Jazz Alley was conveniently located next to our hotel (Westin) so it was an easy walk. Just a note, you can check out the Jazz Alley website and purchase your tickets in advance, I love that you can pick your exact table.

Food here is terrible and overpriced - stick to a hamburger and avoid more complex dishes -otherwise you might regret it! Unfortunately diners have preferential seating over those who only want a drink!

Always fun and good food, the access easy with parking off 5th ave.Seating selection best if booked early for some performances.

First time to Jazz Alley, to see The Spinners to celebrate a certain landmark birthday! The venue is lovely, intimate, and there's really no bad seat in the house. The staff were friendly and very efficient at getting us seated, taking drink orders, etc. As it was the late show we enjoyed cocktails, but didn't have dinner so can't comment on the menu. We had so much fun that we booked another concert as soon as we got home; can't wait to return!

This is an elegant room laid out so everyone is close to the stage. Sound quality is excellent and the two nights of music we heard were first class. Service was great for us, but some waiters hovered excessively. Food was great, salmon and gumbo were memorable. I wish it was closer to Baltimore!

We have been here 4 times !!!!!!! What a fantastic place. Service is excellent, the music fantastic!!! And you end the evening meeting the musicians and are able to thank them personally for their wonderful music and if interested purchase a CD which they are more than happy to sign !!!! My husband and I wished we lived closer we would go more often.

The music at Jazz Alley is guaranteed to be excellent and the food will be tasteful and reasonably priced. One of the best spots in Seattle.

We saw Cherry Poppin Daddies and they were fantastic. Plus when one of our group fell ill they let us have the credit toward food on the menu. We opted for dessert, which was great!

This is a fantastic place for listening to live music! The food is good, but we mostly come for the music.

Well organised jazz club with some great acts. As is usual in jazz clubs it is fortunate that the music is great and good value as the food id reasonable and expensive for what is provided. That said you do not have to eat there and there are plenty of very restatrants nearby.

I arrived solo and was seated at the bar facing the stage, which was what I wanted. This is a large venue, the bar area is slightly elevated and provided a good view of center stage. The set started on time and the music was very good as were the drinks. If you get the chance check out the photos on the wall of the jazz musicians

This is a great jazz venue. The acts that come there range from big names to little known bands. Its very intimate in how it is set up, making each performance special. The parking is also very easy to access. The food is a little basic, but its not really what they do.

Jazz Alley is an icon in Seattle! Laid back place, food is decent, I always heard the shows are great, so I got tickets for the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. All was very good; I would recommend to call ahead and get suggestions about the location of the tables in relationship with the stage. My table was ok, however other guest got tables behind the big piano and they could not see the stage. Those tables should not exist. Service was nice and friendly, and the food was good as well.

One of our favorite venues for enjoying live music. Friendly staff, comfortable seating, great acoustics and mostly good sight lines to the stage. Performance ticket prices are reasonable and parking is included. We usually have dinner at the venue (priced separately) and enjoy the show. The performance did not disappoint. Our dinner, however, was just okay, not up to our expectations based on previous visits. May just have been what we ordered, but the halibut was overcooked and dry, the veggie lasagna center was cold, the Cesar salad and calamari appetizer just so-so. Expected better based on previous visits and increased pricing. Our polite server seemed stressed and a bit overwhelmed. Our dinner order was slow in being taken as well as being served. We were one of the last to leave the venue as the server had forgotten to process our dinner check. We will consider dinner options elsewhere before next enjoying a performance at Jazz Alley. Five stars for the staff, performance and venue. Three stars for the dining experience.

Go for the music! Of course, the setting is super. Seattle is lucky to be able to support jazz alley as it a great venue to watch and perform... Food is ok, drink service by its nature, slow, slow, slow...

Stopped by during a layover in Seattle for dinner and a show. Nice menu selection and we both opted for salad of Arcadian greens and the seafood gumbo. Salad was fresh with a nice house vinaigrette dressing. Plenty of seafood in the gumbo and it was nicely spiced. Cornbread was a tasty accompaniment. Only negative was the choice of house cabernet was poor and the taste was rather harsh..

A good venue for many groups0 (less than 200 seats). Food was not great and they need to figure out service - we waited 1 hour ad 15 minutes for our entree after ordering, got it 5 minutes before the show started. If you're interested in the music, eat elsewhere then go.

My husband and I ended our first date at Jazz Alley more than 20 years ago. We are there on average 3 times a year and love this intimate venue for great music that keeps jazz alive. With new ownership, we no longer are forced to have dinner in order to get premium seating. The service is usually good but the food at Jazz Alley is mediocre. New ownership changed the wine list which further disappoints. We have frequented JA with parties of 3,4,8,12 and a majority of the diners on average are unhappy or barely satisfied with their entree. My recommendation is to eat nearby but continue to love the music at this Seattle gem.

Going to Jazz Alley is one of our favorite things to do when we come to Seattle. You get to see world class entertainment in an intimate setting with good food and drink as well. We just watched Tower of Power while having wonderful lamb curry. A few months back we enjoyed our favorite, Manhattan Transfer, while having the prawns and polenta. And it's a well-run place with nice staff. You can also just do cocktails, which are very good. And the wine list had everything you need. Great place!

The music as always was great, great seats and acoustics. We arrived at 7 for the 7:30 show, for dinner we split the 10 oz top sirloin (it was prepared me rare as we asked) , which was plenty for 2, with a dinner salad. The overall service was okay, friendly enough but rather slow, the desert menu wasn't given to us until after the band quit playing, which means they were trying to turn the room around for the next set and we would have been rushed if we had ordered so decided to forgo the dessert.

Wonderful dinner we had the wedge salad and coconut prawns as a starter. The breaded sole to split between the two is was so fresh and tasty came with potatoes and asparagus. The entertainment was fantastic with a mix of Christmas tunes and some great jazz / funk great talent.

This is one of the premier jazz, supper clubs in the nation. It also has great food, coupled with very good service. Add the great jazz, food, fine wine and a great atmosphere and one can't go wrong. Go check it out. I highly recommend it.

The food and drinks are very good. The people working there are good and helpful and friendly. The music is always outstanding. Parking is a bit of a challenge, though.

I try to visit once a year depending on the artist performing. One of our favorite places to go. Not really for the food, but mainly for the music. Food is ok.

We've been here several times & always had a wonderful time & delicious food!! The seating offers a great view for everyone, the menu has a nice variety & priced right. Remember to park in the garage behind Jazz Alley; no need to pay high $ for parking down the street.

The great thing about this place is you can actually eat here. The food is actually good as opposed to most supper clubs where the food is crap. They get great acts, the seating is excellent throughout. The one drawback is the shows tend to be a bit short.

I have never been disappointed at JA. The service, food, drinks and the music are always top notch! There are two levels of seating, and the seats are close to the stage. A large, but intimate club.

My lady and I went to see Taj Mahal at Jazz Alley. The music was spectacular. (We're BIG Taj fans). We had wonderful calamari and drinks. Parking is easy and compted by the club. We had a great evening with the food, beer and Taj.

Every seat in the place has a good view of the stage and the food has been very good. Prices are very reasonable.

Came in day before our Alaskan cruise looking for evening entertainment and saw Jeffrey Osborne playing here. What a great jazz club! It’s large enough to hold many people but in a very intimate setting. Sound, lighting, food, drinks and service all top notch and Jeffrey was fantastic! At age 70 he can still bring it!

Finally a proper jazz venue. Joey Alexander Trio is a must hear! And the food was excellent. Go there now!

I went there to watch Manhattan Transfer on a Sunday evening. Jazz Alley's free parking was very convenient - it is just across the street! Since there were other good restaurant options nearby, I had my dinner before I went to the concert. The acoustics & sound system of this place is really good. This is one of the rare time I really enjoyed "good" music without my ears getting numb.

Have attended two events here within the past nine months and had two outstanding jazz concert experiences. Wonderful jazz venue with top-notch performers. The food is so-so--not bad but not stellar.

...But not so much for dining. Even if you arrive, as recommended, an hour prior to the scheduled showtime, you'll be lucky to get served in a timely fashion. I don't know if they were intentionally understaffed or if we just had a remarkably bad server, but we had unacceptably long waits at every stage of our meal. We were all about to pass out from hunger by the time our meals arrived, and two of the four were cold and had obviously been sitting in the kitchen for a while. One of the two remaining was underseasoned. For some reason, we actually wanted to order desserts, but our server was so slow returning to our table that the show was ending and we were waiting for an encore by the time she returned. If it hadn't been for ordering a bottle of wine, I'm sure our drinks service would have sucked too. I'm giving two stars since we love Jazz Alley for live shows, but in the future, we'll eat elsewhere pre-performance.
One of the best jazz venues anywhere
Dimitriou's Jazz Alley is a Seattle institution. The setting is a wonderful, intimate venue where you'll hear and see some some of the best musicians anywhere. Have been there many times and hope to go again in the future when we are back in Seattle. The food is good, but sometimes can miss the mark. Go for the music and the experience. Whether you go solo, with a special partner, or with a small group of music lovers, you'll have a memorable evening.
