I had the pleasure of dining at Jean-Georges last week. The space is gorgeous, open, airy with a great view of the city. The staff is attentive and welcoming without pretense. Definitely, Four Seasons service. The food was excellent. The portion size was just right for a 3 course meal. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Stunning setting at the top of the Comcast Tech Center. Perfectly paced and expert service. Wonderful food. Incredible views. Worth it!

Go to Jean-Georges for the view. the food is unimportant. Honestly, just sitting up there looking at the Philadelphia skyline is such a treat. The food was good but a bit prissy for my taste. The fish I had, a tuna appetizer and a salmon main course was delicious but the sauces dumped on them by the waiter were a bit heavy handed and didn't add enough to be worthwhile. I found my Apple dessert to be disappointing. The bread basket was delicious and the cocktails were good as well. Considering the price tag, I would have wanted to enjoy the food part a bit more but honestly....Once, just go and be amazed. Nothing compares to the Philadelphia skyline.

This I believe is a relative new restaurant to philly but quickly getting a reputation of a place to go. The staff were attentive and able to deal with an allergy with great ease. The view at night was brilliant. Food whilst not a massive selection still had plenty of options. Quality was exceptional and felt like great value of money. Definitely add to your list.

On a recent visit to see the new Four Seasons Hotel we decided to have dinner on the 60th floor Jean Georges Restaurant. The food was terrific and not as expensive as we had envisioned and the service in particular was exceptional. Go for the views, go for the Jean Georges name, but the food will absolutely win you over!

The views here on a clear day are the best in Philly and have to factor in to your decision to come here. In some respects the overall experience may be better than 4 stars. I'll give you my take... The views are as billed. The food is very good, but not better than many of the great restaurants we have in Philly. In our group someone ordered the chicken salad, which they said was too spiced (not expected vs description). Same thing with the shrimp salad. Burger was very good. SERVICE RECOMMENDATION - many reviews describe the service as slow. Indeed, our service was slow, but it worked for us as were meeting old friends and had a lot to catch up on. What I noticed was that the servers did not rush us, AS OPPOSED TO BEING SLOW. The servers waited until everyone seemed done before moving to the next course. My recommendation is that if you want faster service, to tell the servers to bring the next course when it is ready. If service is still slow after giving that direction, THEN leave a review that states the service is slow. Enjoy!

We had a reservation at 8:30, and waited to be seated for 20 min. They knew that we have a birthday party and still gave us a table at the couch right next to another customer. Then we waited for 20 more min for another table. We get a drink almost after one hour of being at the restaurant. Food was ok, but not too much choice. The waitress didn’t check on us. We asked for a sanitized wipes for 3 times🤦🏻♀️ The second bottle was served by a birthday girl, because the bottle service girl completely forgot about us. Also, they forgot about the birthday cake. When we asked about it, the guy just approached us with a small candle and wanted to add it to a plate🤦🏻♀️ chocolate cake that we ordered was not delicious at all. Very disappointed with service. Husband of my friend called a manager, and she told him that the next time we will have a better service. Really? Bad customer service starting from a reservation (when you try to reserve a table and they just transfer your call to different departments without knowing who is responsible for it), and ending with a manager’s “resolution “. You can come here for a view only. Very disappointing and sad!

Amazing views, beautiful ambience, great service(a little on the slower side) but the food was amazing! I had the sea bass and it out of this world! The tuna noodle appetizer was fabulous! I wasnt wowed by the dessert but the whole experience was still amazing! I would recommend this restaurant for aspecial special occasion. The $25 parking fee was a bit if a bummer

Everything about our lunch was fantastic ... except the food. I've done a lot of business travel. I never have high expectation at hotel restaurants. But I assumed the Four Seasons would be different. The decor, view, and service were all wonderful. My wife's shrimp mushroom risotto had little taste except for being overly salted. My "fried chicken" was half good. The thigh meat was tender and juicy but the breast meat was dry. The breading on both was nice but seemed like "fish and chips" batter. I've had better hotel food at a Holiday Inn. We live in Philly so we know what's possible in this foodie city. Come on guys, you should do better.

The spectacular view and beautiful mirrored decor set the scene for a special lunch. The food was wonderful and beautifully presented by Arturo, who was very professional and accommodating, as well as very charming.

Wonderful location, the view is incredible. Very good table service, waiters always prepared and very careful. The menu is interesting (also with some italian contamination), with fresh ingredients: the flavours tend a bit too much towards the international cusine, spoiling a bit the taste (e.g. the octopus was excellent exept for a dressing that was way too acid and hence overwhelming for the whole dish). Good wine list. Overall a good experience.

I have been here twice. The views and ambiance are spectacular! So happy for Philly to have such a special place to dine. HOWEVER, I am not into paying a fortune to eat food that is mediocre at best. My husband and I have traveled all over the world and love amazing culinary experiences. We brought my father for a special meal and were so disappointed with the food. The parsnip soup had almost zero flavor. The multi grain bowl with quinoa and rice has zero flavor, and I paid to have shrimp on top and there were 4 tiny shrimp poached with nothing on them. I could do far better at home. When I go to a restaurant and pay Jean Georges prices, I want my tastebuds to be wowed. The other time I dined here, I had a salmon entree that again was as bland as a sock. The service was good initially but once our food came, the waitress disappeared and was very inattentive. I hope the restaurant can get a new chef, a new menu and wow me with the food as much as I am wowed by the ambiance!

I’m seriously confused. We tried to get reservations for 6:00 pm. The only reservations we could get were for 2 pm or 8:15 pm. Now as we sit here in the bar area on the 60th floor (1 floor above overlooking the restaurant) at 6:50, there are 19, yes, 19 open tables!!!! Poor management or too full of themselves to accept reservations for people who would like to experience what could have been a wonderful dining opportunity. Won’t be coming back anytime soon. Apparently the management doesn’t value customers!

It was an exceptional dining experience which went above and beyond expectations. The creativity, variety, and attention to detail in every dish was simply remarkable. The portions along with amuse bouche were perfectly spaced out and balanced, leaving us feeling completely satiated and excited. The service was impeccable—warm, attentive, and fully immersive. Our lead hostess for the evening deserved a special mention. She was truly a delight. The other servers were also quite pleasant. The overall hospitality elevated the entire evening, and made us feel truly valued as guests. The elegant ambiance and the views were cherry on top. Jean-Georges stands out not only for its exquisite food but also for delivering a dining experience that is both refined and genuinely enjoyable. We’ll undoubtedly be returning for another unforgettable evening.

Exquisite cuisine and food presentation. service is superb; prices are reasonable for value received. Reservations are dear so plan well in advance. Space on 59th floor full of flor to ceiling is spectacular. Don’t miss this treat, if you love great dinning.

This magnificent restaurant at the new Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia is challenging if you are terrified of heights. But not to worry, it is well protected and you can't even feel it swaying. Otherwise, everything from the signed glassware to the incredible plates to the absolutely perfect service is the height of perfection. Nothing is out of place. The pacing and choreography of service is as good or better than any restaurant I have experienced in the USA or in Europe. Food was absolutely delicious. We had the brunch. My wife had an incredible (and beautifully presented) scrambled eggs on toast with peppers and crumbled bacon. I had the buttermilk pancakes with fruits, maple syrup and bacon. So good. Entrees (at least at Brunch) were very reasonable for a high-end establishment ($12 for the Pancakes) but everything is a la carte, so a cup of fine coffee comes with a $5 tab, for example. Desert was terrific. And the view from the 60th floor was spectacular. There is not a view-less or bad seat in the dining room, but I would suggest reserving on the lower level if you can. Cocktails are available, but we stuck with the freshly squeezed juice and coffee. A little early for us to be drinking since we got there at 9AM. I wholeheartedly recommend the brunch, though nighttime (When prices must be steep indeed) must be totally dazzling. I almost never say this, but if you like grand restaurants (or just grand spaces) Jean-Georges is one experience you must not miss in your lifetime.

First let me say the facilities are gorgeous! No debating that. However the service at the bar not up to par. Not enough bartenders for a Sunday , especially a Sunday after an eagles game. Also the they have a second bar area downstairs that could easily have changed my review because I wouldn't have waited 1 hour just to get a drink at the bar. Not a table , literally a drink just to get settled in. We went downstairs to and saw a very not busy bar not a huge crowd standing around it like the bar upstairs. When we decided ok let's grab a drink here and just go back up continue to look around and admire all the decorations and the views , we were told by the greeter that we couldn't even order a drink at the bar if we didn't have a table reservation. Let's note that reservations didn't even start until I think he said 5pm. We were there well before that may 3:30. So do you mean to say that all the people seated at the bar were there an hour before they made a reservation just to sit? No. But eventually a guest at the bar had noticed us being shuffled becaj and forth and offered his space to us so that we could order drinks. He was real estate developer in town and his first remark was the place is beautiful but the service not so much. Many of my friends, some of which are very popular bloggers in the city have had good things to say about their visit. They also told my husband who came later to meet us that they couldn't let him upstairs because it was filled to capacity. Well that was strange because we were all seated at the bar by that time and there were about 4 empty seats. While I hate to think that we were being shaded based on race ... One could certainly make the argument for it. I would probably try it again on a weekday just to see how I'm treated and if I can leave with a better review in hand. Happy holidays.

My wife and I took my 13 year old and 8 year old sons to celebrate my 13 year old's birthday. His request. I had heard that the service was not up to Jean-George;s reputation. I guess this is when it first opened. I have to say, the service was really good. A bit slow for lunch, but with the views the kids were really happy and not itching to get out. I had the cheeseburger, which was wonderful, came with yummy french fries perfectly crispy. My wife ate a light tuna sushi noodle dish. Think tuna sushi, with the fish cut like penne pasta. My 8 year old had the chicken nuggets with fries, and the 13 year old birthday boy had the best meat I have ever tasted. The filet of beef was tender, the sauce served on the plate was mouth watering. It was no joke, the best meat I have ever tasted. We didn't drink, didn't have appetizers....we did have desert and they also brought a little extra decadent chocolate deserts over with his birthday. Bill was $144, not bad for Jean-George..

Excellent dinner. !st time at a JG restaurant. Served several of his classic dishes. Service was impeccable. Great wine list with several at reasonable prices. View is spectacular . Highly recommend!!

Made a reservation weeks ago for a special dinner, received a confirmation. Now days before they confirm a breakfast reservation. I called, explained, and was told “ah yes but no reservations available that night, can do another night”. Not the first time they have not kept the reservation or special request. The attitude was “can’t help you, don’t care”. The view is beautiful but they service is terrible. Cannot say how disappointed I am.

We had a spectacular evening in the Jean Georges on the 59th floor of the new Four Seasons and we were glad to have found this restaurant. Exceptional food that we have not found anywhere in the US before - for a family celebration we had both six-course tasting menus (the "land&sea" and Vegetarian) and were stunned at the quality and love of detail of the preparations. Exceptional service, too - after our dinner the chef Cornelia Sühr came to talk to her guests - absolutely delightul. Don't mistake this place for the other hotel restaurant "above the bar" on the 60th floor where the hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with very shoddy untrained service, albeit the same spectacular views.

This is a fabulous place for lunch and I’m sure dinner as well. Three of us enjoyed lunch here. I got the tuna appetizer & the chicken entree as well as a lovely bottle of white wine. Everything from the service to the presentation to the quality of the food & drinks is top notch! Being in the tallest building in Philly, the views are outstanding!

We celebrated a bday party here on a Friday evening. It was simply spectacular. We started with drinks at the bar..the cocktails were amazing. We moved on the a delicous well executed dinner. The place is beautiful and to think as high as the Eiffel tower. Will certainly return

We wanted to pamper ourselves with a gastronomical experience, so we booked this restaurant. We had had several great meals at restaurants in Four Seasons Hotels, so we expected something similar here. In general, the service was on the slow side. The first courses were very good. This could not be said for the main course. I had the beef tenderloin. I got a plate with a chunk of meat, a little filled mushroom (about an inch in diameter) and some wasabi on the side, and some soup-like jus. The dish did not contain any item such as purée or vegetables. I was shocked by the optics, so I asked for something in the side. I got offered Brussels sprouts, which added one non-brown color. At least the steak was done medium well, as I had ordered, and it tasted good. After the meal we ordered coffee and desserts . We got the coffee reasonably fast, the dessert took 15 minutes longer. This was not ok. The restaurant manager came to our table and was asking about the problem. When we told him, he took the steak and the coffees of the check. In general, service was very polite and friendly but waiting times were excessive.

Had a great anniversary dinner at Jean-Georges. There are two restaurants - one is Sky High and this one is Jean -Georges. They have a great tasting menu that we have had twice. This time was for our 25th anniversary and they did not disappoint. From the snacks and appetizers to the main courses and the pre dessert, dessert and after dessert, the food was creative and delicious. Above all, the service was impeccable ! They aim to please.

We made a reservation to have brunch here and it was wonderful. The view is worth the trip in it self. The breakfast menu was delicious and the service impeccable. Highly recommend coming to Jean George while in Philadelphia to enjoy the view. It has a lovely bar area for drinks. A must do while in Philadelphia.

service is awful. No one picks up the phone. Had to call the hotel to get through. Not great at all. Could be much much better

Wonderful Food Awesome Scenery. Fabulous Service Stephen our waiter was fantastic and very helpful. We had cod, salmon, Squash soup all excellent

Half way through our dinner, at about 7:30PM, we were informed by our server, "My shift is over and I am leaving.". My wife and I thought this was very strange. We then were abandoned for over 30 minutes. This was amazing considering that our table was at the window in a single row of tables. I had to get up to get attention. We were then informed, "Your server was ill and had to leave." The next course, quail, came quickly. It had obviously been sitting and was dried out. At the conclusion of the meal there was on apology, and we were not asked our opinion. They knew that they had ruined our evening. There is no way of giving feedback to the restaurant. No email adress or comment section on the their website. Their phone number is only for reservations.

Service at Jean-Georges Philadelphia can only be described as exhibiting total disdain for the guest and in this restaurant it appears to be pervasive, practiced and institutional. The food mirrors the quality of service as It is poorly, amateurishly, conceived and executed. The whole operation reeks of hostility. Stay away

This place is inside of the Four Seasons Philadelphia. It’s located on the 60th floor and gives you great panoramic view an of the city. The I side is gorgeous with beautiful waterfall over a black wall. Fresh white flowers adorn the lobby and bar area. The staff is very helpful. They cater to your every need. It was my birthday brunch. The Chef sent me a complimentary crepe. It was huge and delicious. The food was great and not too expensive to say this is a high end hotel. We absolutely loved it.

I had a fantastic time at JG SkyHigh, the restaurant/bar atop the swanky Four Seasons Hotel. It’s worth a visit alone for the awe inspiring, turbo charged glass elevator ride, which fires you up 60 floors to the gloss & gleam of JG Vongerichten. Once there, it’s a stunning, airy space of wraparound glass, with THE most amazing views in the city. Food was delicious, & given the high end surroundings, I didn’t think, hideously expensive. Service was speedy, polished & free of pomp. You can come for breakfast, lunch, supper or just drinks & snacks. Food was delicious.

Rooftop is stunning, service is nice and professional, drinks and food are really excellent! Went twice during one weekend and would love to return to eat my way through the menu

From the moment we arrived, the evening felt special. The views are incredible, honestly the best in the city, and they made the whole atmosphere feel even more memorable. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server, Chris, was wonderful, very professional and attentive without being overbearing. What impressed us the most was the new management team. The GM, AGM, and host manager each stopped by to check on us and made sure everything was perfect. You could really tell they love what they do and care about the guests. That kind of passion is rare, and it truly made our night even more special. We left already talking about when we’ll come back. Thank you to the entire team for such a great experience.

Sure, it’s the fanciest cuisine in town. And it’s expensive. And it’s brand new, so it’s the hot thing that everyone wants to try out. But Jean-Georges (and also its accompanying bar for light fare, J-G sky bar) delivers, and it’s because of 3 things. 1. The view is really spectacular, and it’s not too chic a place to make enjoying that uncool. People take the elevators up just to see Philly from 1100+ feet in the air, and they pose for pictures, and the elevators are fast and smooth and cool, and it’s neat to watch the sun set over the rivers from that high in the air, and in general, the spectacle is pretty amazing. More amazing than it is cheesy. It’s worth experiencing. 2. The staff are really gracious and really welcoming. Four Seasons is known for exemplary customer service, and it turns out it’s really nice to be treated that well. Great service makes a big difference. The staff here aren’t snobby, they are genuinely welcoming, and it makes the experience truly fun, not intimidating or pretentious. 3. The food is amazing. I like to eat but I’m not really a foodie, and I have to admit I’m not able to compare various types of caviar. But I have to say that the little caviar poached egg toast appetizer was one of the single most delicious melt-in-the-mouth food combinations I have ever tasted, and the wine suggested to us was the perfect crisp balance to it, and the two together, so evenly paired, was just the beginning of the meal that continued with that same kind of delectable balance, throughout. This is SUCH GOOD FOOD. I liked it so much I went back a couple of weeks later. And I still want it again.

Let me start by saying that some of the reviews reflect the more casual SkyHigh Bar & Restaurant. This review is about the Jean-Georges Restaurant with the tasting menu. I could go on and on about our extraordinary experience, but the best way to sum it up is this - Jeon-Georges is on par with French Laundry. The tasting menus (we tried both of them) took our breath away. Every course was presented beautifully - artfully crafted like a Van Gogh and intricately described with a bouquet of words like Garrison Keillor. The service was impeccable down to every last detail. Silverware was effortlessly removed and replaced. Water glasses never came close to a drought. Napkins were folded when we departed the table (for a second) to enjoy the view. Antoinette was graceful and attentive but never overbearing. She was a pleasant conversationalist, striking a perfect balance of questioning and dialogue that allowed us to enjoy our evening. I cannot say enough good things about our tasting extravaganza. We still have a wonderful post-dining afterglow. The incredible experience has lingered nicely, and we can't thank the entire Jean-Georges team for our perfect evening. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return later this year and stay at the hotel. This restaurant is the best in Philadelphia. Don't let the negative reviews (mostly about the lounge) deter you; treat yourself to this culinary exhibition instead.

My wife and I stayed at the Four Seasons Philadelphia’s last weekend and had breakfast at Jean-Georges on the 59th floor of the hotel at Comcast Center. Suffice it to say that the views from the window-side table were breathtaking. The service was impeccable from the perfectly prepared lattes and cappuccino to the very last interaction with our servers. Following a wonderful pastry basket, I had yogurt with a perfect assortment of berries, figs and apricot, along with pistachio granola, a fruit jam and finished with a dusting of powdered raspberry. It was truly satisfying. I got a taste of both my wife’s scrambled eggs with spinach and our daughter’s French toast. Both were delicious. While Jean-Georges is definitely in the fine dining price category, I thought the combined food, service ambiance and views provided very good value for the price I paid. This should quickly become a breakfast/ brunch destination.

I had to try this new restaurant on the 59th floor of the new Comcast Technology Center on the Comcast campus in Center City, Philadelphia! Four of us went for lunch, and we had a delightful experience! I don't know which was more impressive, the food or the view! Maybe it's a tie between both. The restaurant is owned by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The food is phenomenal! Two of us ordered from the prix fixe three course lunch offerings. My broccoli soup with Thai flavors was mouth-wateringly exquisite, and the delicious salmon was cooked perfectly to order. My friend was amazed by her appetizer, raw yellowfin tuna noodles, avocado radish ginger dressing and chili oil, displayed like a work of art. Two in our group ordered cheeseburgers (proof that Jean-Georges feeds all palates!) and declared they were the very best cheeseburgers ever! Desserts were beautiful, delicious, and extraordinary! My friend had a berry/cookie combo in a bowl (not sure what this was called on the menu) that she declared to be delectable, and my husband and I enjoyed our multi-confection dessert plates complete with chocolates, peanut butter, and ice cream, the top of which was tinted an amazing color with the combination of an uncommon tea extract and lime juice. Service was impeccable! Our server was helpful and professional; we ate at our leisure. And the view, the view, the view! Surrounded by windows on the 59th floor, views could be seen of Philadelphia, even New Jersey, from three sides of the restaurant. These views are stunning! Not only that, but mirrors are placed along the length of the ceiling, angled to reflect both the restaurant as well as the street. To sum up: I am awed by this restaurant. If you're in Philadelphia, go! Yes, it's pricey, (do not wear your jeans), but we got what we payed for, which was a wonderful experience.

First of all - be aware that JG Skyhigh is not Jean George restaurant. The Skyhigh is the bar area and only has bar food. It is a beautiful venue for a drink before dinner. The restaurant itself is gorgeous as is Skyhigh. They are connected by a flight of stairs. You have to go down a flight to get to the restaurant. Try to get a table by the windows. The view is spectacular. There is a nice bar in the restaurant and you can eat at the bar if you like. Dinner was exceptional; however, this is not a cheap place. The filet was 51 bucks - but worth every penny.

Came here with my friends. We originally just wanted to have drinks and as the night fell, we decided to have dinner here as well. My friend ordered risotto and it was surprisingly good. I had a margarita pizza and it was the best margarita pizza I have ever had! The calamari is also delicious. BTW, this place makes an awesome boulevadier. Must try!

The view of the restaurant from the 60th floor bar and stairs was impressive. The décor was modern, gleaming—a wall of fresh flowers was a part of the décor. My best beau asked for a table next to the window walls. We were accommodated at a table facing South. Philadelphia was twinkling, breathtaking. The menu was full of appetizing selections. We decided on the seasonal tasting menu. Good choice, it was perfect—taste, temperature and presentation: egg toast and caviar (not too salty), tuna tartar (could have been less shaved), squash agnolotti (amaretti crumble was an amusing accompaniment), small black sea bass tasted freshly caught, the Maine lobster was the correct texture and taste--not overly embellished, the tender lamb chop was cooked to the right temperature, the orchard dessert was amusing (our chef has a sense of humor), three orchard delights especially the cone of apple slices which I saw being made through the kitchen viewing window. Good selection of wines and the coffee was the correct texture and warmth. Perfect evening. The wait staff was a little eager when we arrived but they soon realized that we were there to enjoy the evening--every morsel. So, they hovered discreetly but knew when we were ready for the next course. A minor problem occurred with the reservation. When I called to make the reservation for New Year’s Day, the receptionist said that they were full—I thought that she had thought I said New Year’s Eve and I explained. She repeated that they were full on New Year’s Day also. Not so, I called the next day; this time I easily made the reservation. I recommend one go now while everything is pure perfection. I have a feeling that the Roberts clan want this restaurant to be a shining star—like the building that houses it.

I read some of the mixed reviews. I can only speak for myself and how it was for me and my family. Six of us selected the brunch. Two selected from the A La Carte menu. I did not taste or see what they had. It consisted of pre determined bread, appetizer, a shared brunch tower, a main course and dessert. We each got everything plus a choice of the main course. It began with a really good bread and butter with Malden sea salt. The appetizer was a crackling poached egg ( slightly deep fried) with a large serving of caviar, vodka whipped cream and fine herbs. It was great!! The shared brunch tower ( see my pictures from different angles) had all of the following: Avocado lettuce cups, toasted sunflower seeds, Aleppo pepper, citrus juice. It was also really good. Smoked salmon, capers and red onion. The salmon was excellent quality and thinly cut. Nice slices of thinly cut Bayonne ham with delicious fresh ripe figs. Almond pancakes, fresh berries and a wonderful maple syrup. It was delightful. Potato latkes, creme fraiche and house made apple compote. This tasted really good but it was a little thin and slightly dried out for my taste. The main course was a choice between black sea bass fish and crisps, saffron aioli, buttered slightly mashed peas with green chili. That was my selection. The fish was cooked slightly deep fried, not at all oily and turned out perfectly cooked. The saffron aioli was delicious with the fish and the peas were so fresh. It tasted as though they were picked five minutes before preparing them. The other main course which I did not get to taste was pepper crusted wagyu beef tenderloin with a tomato confit and béarnaise sauce. It looked terrific. The dessert was petite beurre, glazed figs together with a raspberry rose sorbet. It turned out to be a wonderful brunch and at $88.00 per person for all that great tasting food It was not over priced. The service was excellent. We had three very focussed wait staff. Antoinette and Austin and Deryl were perfect. Of course the ambiance is truly amazing. Everywhere you look is picturesque. 60 th floor gives you an unobstructed view of four sides of Philadelphia. Their wine list is actually quite varied and even though many of the wines are young, they are very desirable. They did not display any typical opening pains in service or food. Everything went just the way it should cor a place of this level. I cannot wait to go back.

Stopped in after dinner for drinks. The staff was wonderful and provided great service. They had some interesting items on the menu including the ginger margarita and the tropical old fashion.

I really wanted to like this place. I was looking forward to dining there. But, the value just isn’t there. Sorry. The food is good, but not great. I had the Chef’s Tasting Menu. A couple of the courses were outstanding, but a couple of them were underwhelming. Service was pretty good, but not great. Dining room is cold (not temperature cold, just a cold feeling) and not very inviting. View is killer. For me, it wasn’t worth the cost. There are other restaurants in town that provide a better experience for the money.

The elevator ride up is spectacular. The setting is superb. The view outside exciting. Our servers were charming and attentive. The menu was a little disappointing. Not a lot of choices. I settled on a pear endive salad with salmon; my guest had the salmon entree and the other guest had the endive saiad without the salmon. It was good; not great. The bread was good, not great. we ordered one dessert. Very pretty in composition but again, not so great. Plus only three choices for dessert and this is the week between Christmas and New Years....so live it up, a little.

Our November dinner at Jean Georges was, simply stated, the best meal we have ever had in over 30 years of dining out in Philadelphia. While recent reviews suggest that others have had uneven experiences, ours was stellar. The food (egg caviar with whipped cream, yellowfin tuna noodles, black sea bass, and parmesan crusted chicken) was exemplary and comparable to Jean Georges NYC. The room is gorgeous: request a table on the lower level along the windows to fully enjoy the view of the city spread out below. Service was excellent -- professional yet friendly. It's a special-occasion place, expensive and worth it, and I hope we can get a reservation again soon.

This is a do-over establishment—meaning you’ll want to return at different times of the day to view the city at sunrise and after dark. As part of the Four Seasons Hotel, it feels high-end yet comfortable and welcoming. Menu options are limited and balanced, with choices for different price ranges and tastes.

Food served cold. Tried apps, salad, pizza all just okay. Restaurant has amazing views of the city but skip eating here. Philly has great food spots. Have a drink and go

The setting is exquisite; the staff is friendly. The prices are high. The food at dinner is not exceptional. In fact it unremarkable and quite pedestrian. I’m guessing the restaurant is counting on hotel guests and business accounts. We won’t go back unless we hear about drastic improvements to bring it in line with the pricing. Vetri is worth the price in Philadelphia. Vernick is worth the price. In the old days, Le Bec Fin was worth every penny. Jean Georges is not in their category.

We spent a lovely afternoon at this brand new restaurant. Food was very good but portions are small and pricey. The luncheon menu is quite limited. The views are spectacular and the flowers that surround you are awesome. It’s a nice venue for a special event.

What a special night! From the time the glass front elevator whisks you to the 60th floor until the evening ends with your take home Kugelhopt for breakfast the morning after, Jean Georges in the Four Seasons Hotel is exceptional. The views from the 59th floor of the windowed restaurant and 60th floor bar are stunning and the food at Jean George is truly special! We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation for a drink at the bar and walk-around taking in the views until our table was ready. Once seated you are treated to a multi course tasting menu that is as gorgeous as it is delicious. The service is second to none and you feel pampered for the entire duration of the dinner. As the sun set over the city each dish was beautifully presented and described and each was unique, perfectly balanced and delicious! the seasonal menu featured many tastes of the autumn season along with signature Jean George’s dishes. Valet parking is available ($30) and a wine pairing is also available which we did not participate in but did get wine by the glass and cocktails. This is definitely a splurge restaurant for a special occasion ($198 prix fixe) but it is an amazing experience that lasts over 3 hours and made for a very a memorable night. The more casual JG Skyhigh afforda the same views for a more reasonable price but for a special occasion Jean George is absolute perfection!

I love Philly but until now all of the “fine” restaurants are very noisy, crowded and tight spaced. A few of the classics appear to have been refurbished in the 60’s. The Jean George’s restaurant on the 59th floor of The Four Seasons is elegant, spacious with “no” tables with a bad view. Elegant cuisine and excellent service are natural complements. Getting reservations is tough! I guess a few other people see it’s superiority!

9/10. Ambience and views are outstanding. The food was excellent, with a varied selection for the 6 course tasting menu (which ended up really as 9 courses). Service was friendly and the meal was served at the correct pace. Some of the wine pairings had a great stories, but lacked in quality. Still, a highly recommended dining experience in Philadelphia, easily equivalent to the flagship New York restaurant where we have dined many times.

Have been to this spectacular bar and restaurant several times. Absolutely nothing like it in Philly including the elevator ride getting there. The views are endless in all directions. Part of the new Philadelphia Four Seasons set up, the place has high ceiling spaces framed by huge plate glass Windows. Its bi-level atrium reminds me of skytops in New York or Hong Kong. While a very respected local restaurant reviewer found the food to be inconsistent, mine was good, though far from cheap. But the experience is worth it. It also worked for an important business lunch but not if you're in a rush. And on nights when there's live jazz music, Jean Georges Philadelphia has a world class vibe. Not to be missed when in Philly especially for a cocktail and some small plates on top of Comcast Two.

Seriously less than “diner” quality food served. We had to wait 15 min to be seated at reserved table. The “assistant” to the waiter had no concept what he was doing. The waitress and servers were slow, sloppy in providing service. It was as though it was their first night to learn the skills. Food was less than average. 1/3 of the meals delivered 12 min after the other ones. They forgot the cake that was ordered in advance from the sister restaurant resulting in 22 min wait time. Fried chicken was like the old recipe from Ms Winners fast food chain. Absolutely no excuse. So over “we can’t find help”. This is one of the best areas for a restaurant and appears it is becoming the symbol of what was once great about having dinner in PHL. All that said, the view of the city is spectacular. Go for the hamburger and save yourself from expectations of 5star.

We had a delightful experience at Jean-Georges last week. And - it is an experience. After a friendly greeting from the bell staff at the 4 Seasons Hotel, you travel up sixty floors in the glass elevator as the view of the city expands. The hall to the reception desk is banked by two walls of purple orchids. We followed the hostess down a staircase with a waterfall on both sides. The restaurant design is filled with architectual details to delight the eye and the view of the city is amazing. We had chicken and artichokes with a nice lemon sauce. It was cooked to perfection. Our server Darryl was cordial and made us feel welcome. He was charming and helpful. Every employee was gracious, and kind.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Jean Georges with a Saturday lunch. As every other reviewer has noted, the views are stunning, and the restaurant itself is simply gorgeous. However, the service is really lacking - not just lacking for a restaurant in the Four Seasons but lacking for any restaurant. We were poured water, but it was at least ten minutes before our server took a drink order. We were watching her at the register and then chatting with an employee who was cleaning something on the floor. We had to ask a manager to please send her over for our drinks order. We ordered the prix fixe brunch at $88 pp. The first item listed was Parker House rolls. However, as we received our first course, we still did not have the rolls. The first course was delightful but the main component was a poached egg. I wanted that bread to soak up the luscious egg. When we asked for it, the server told us the bread comes later because "it has to be heated up". That's one of the silliest responses I've heard. Most importantly, we had to ask to have water glasses refilled - twice. Refilling water glasses should never be an issue anywhere - when it happens at this caliber of restaurant, it's not acceptable. One odd thing: They bring a lovely tiered tower of petits fours after dessert. But there was only one of each! My husband and I had to decide who gets which petits fours - just put two on each level! The food was good (the shared brunch tower was very good) with one course being outstanding. However, a restaurant such as this should provide a superior experience from start to finish. We spent $400 with wine, tax and tip - and we are fine with that - it just needs to be as special as the bill.

Excellent food and service with amazing views! The presentation, tastes, and texture of the food was outstanding. The service was meticulous. One quibble is the online menu noted wagyu beef and we were served duck. It was delicious but I was looking forward to the wagyu beef and brought a bottle of anniversary wine to pair with it.

Unfortunately, the lunch time service was simply too slow to allow for a reasonably paced business lunch. According to Open Table, my party of two was seated within a minute or two of our 12:30 reservation, and at the time the restaurant was not full. We each ordered salad and an entrée. Very large gap of time between service of salad and entrée, very large gap between the time we finished eating and removal of entrée, and then more time before we were approached about dessert, by which time we had no time for dessert. Credit card receipt says we departed the restaurant at 2:23. I would go back for a leisurely dinner or weekend lunch, but if they expect business lunch diners (and they must), they need to attend to the service issues (which have received similar comments in reviews on other websites). Most Philadelphians want to love the new Four Seasons and will give this restaurant a second chance. Please don't disappoint us!

A truly spectacular experience is waiting for you as you swiftly rise 59 floors at over 10 miles an hour in a glass elevator and arrive at a splendidly flowered lobby the G+Four Seasons Hotel that, as soon as you turn the corner of the corridor, literally leaves you breathless. The incredible three story space, all glass enclosed, with slanted mirrors on the ceiling that reflect the streets of the city below and perfect and elegant flower arrangements galore, a wide staircase with water flowing in sheets on the black wall on either side, that leads you to the tables, literally makes you feell you are in the middle of a dream of the future. The architecture is exceptional as is the food by Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The service is truly impeccable. The sommelier extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to your wishes with great suggestions, The atmosphere is subdued. The view incomparable. An experience that will endure until you return again and again.

Please note that this review is for the bar that sits above Jean George, the restaurant. The drinks that we had were delicious but exorbitantly priced. The bar serves complimentary seasoned popcorn, almonds and wasabi nuts that were delicious but not refilled. The bartenders were very nice. The view, as others have noted, is wonderful. The atmosphere is very modern and quite striking. The stairs that lead to the lower level restaurant are elegant but dangerous; gleaming black with a side waterfall. The glare that comes off the staircase could really throw someone off.

My wife and myself went to the Sky High bar one evening in March. We reserved a table through open table. The elevator ride up was a bit woozy but enjoyable to see the sights of Philly during the evening was amazing. We were first seated in the middle of the place but as seats opened up by the window, they did let us move to the window without much fanfare. There is a mirror in the middle of the room that allow for the full viewing of Philly from any location. However, the view from the window was that much more enjoyable. The drinks, appetizers and services are great and pricy as one would expect but it's not for the food or drinks that's the main attraction here. Its the wonderful view that makes the whole experience great. I have to come back during the day but evening Philly lights makes this place the destination for a romantic outing.

Incredible restaurant, with a wonderful view of the city, we were very well served, all the waiters were super attentive, the food maybe I didn't choose correctly, I ate deer meat maybe I should have chosen something different I would enjoy it better, but I intend to go back to the place, photos were taken beautiful

Sensational views but food/service falls short of Jean-George’s in NYC and Fountain Room of “old” Four Seasons. Examples: dishes at dinner delivered to wrong guests for EVERY course; minuscule wine pourings; had to remind server that glass of wine had been ordered, worst small tasteless breakfast omelette (nothing else on plate) ever served; eggs Benedict arrived stone cold while potatoes on plate were piping hot. Praying they get their act together so that the food/service match the view.

There has been a lot of hype and regional comments about this restaurant. Expensive? Yes. Worth every cent? Resounding YES! One may ask "$30+ for cabbage?" Oh my goodness, this is the best cabbage you've never tasted until at Jean-Georges Philadelphia. We have had the good fortune of dining at Jean-Georges in NY which is absolutely delicious and lovely with excellent service. However in Philadelphia, there is an added bonus + you also get THE VIEW... stunning. The tasting menu seemed to be an excellent value for the quantity but we decided to order dinner a la carte. For five courses, including dessert, the price per person was about the same. Our server Alexander was doting without being obsequious. He made excellent recommendations; he was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic of the menu, ingredients and preparation. He is a chef's dream of a server. We are looking forward to returning but a future visit will need to be saved for another special occasion.

The atmosphere is very different from my old beloved Four Seasons on Logan Circle. Now a big, high ceilinged, heavily flowered space. Nice but pretty self conscious, forces you to have a "big experience". Forgot to specify a table on the outer ring and we were seated in the inner ring (the only ones in there at lunch ) ---decidedly less impressive. The view is fantastic. Wait staff seemed young and a little inexperienced. There were several times the wrong dish was placed in front of the wrong person. The first course on the fixed menu came out different than the one on the menu. Many apologies but no compensation. All of the food was quite delicious with very, very pretty presentation. Desserts especially flavor rich and complex combinations. All of the food was labor intensive.

We've been fans of Chef Vongerichten for years now, so when he opened a place in Philadelphia, we booked into the 4 Seasons to experience his vision there. The room is spectacular, the service staff well-trained and the food is well prepared. Every time we're in Philly, as we were last Saturday, we make a point of dropping in. The restaurant was very crowded, so we sat at the bar intending to have brunch and drinks. Despite the fact that the bar was full, the staff was cheerful and accommodating, though we never got to order food and had to be contented with a couple of Bloody Marys!

Jean-George last is a great addition to the Philadelphia dining scene. The food is excellent, the service superb and the views from all angles are magnificent.

Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the setting. I am not comfortable with heights but the views are worth the discomfort. Amazing.

It starts with the elevator ride up to I think the 60th floor of the Comcast Building (tallest building in Philadelphia). The elevator is surrounded on three sides with glass and you can watch yourself rising up above the city. If you are afraid of heights you may want to cover your eyes. The entrance is to the Four Seasons Hotel where Jean George resides. Everything is modern and beautiful to look at. You are directed down some stairs into a very open and airy area which is the restaurant. We had come here for lunch on an overcast day and immediately seated. Though it was overcast, the city of Philadelphia was beautiful to see. I don't believe there was a table that didn't give you a great view of the city. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was good, almost excellent. This may be just due to the lunch menu. Perhaps dinner would be different but the food just seem to lacked that extra kick of creativity that you expect from a Michelin rated restaurant. No complaints but no wow factor. Overall a great experience perhaps returning to try the dinner menu.

We had a wonderful tasting menu experience here with wine accompaniment. I love doing the foodie thing and this is definitely the place. The view (top of the skyscraper) the ambiance (intimate, not crowded) and service were top notch. Loved all the cocktail choices and the food was excellent. I will say, that the food was a notch lower than similar places we have been to in New York and Las Vegas, but was still excellent. We also visited Vernick Food and Drink. Their food was better, but it was a crowded ambiance with people tucked in tight all around and service was okay. In case you are trying to decide.

The restaurant has beautiful panoramic views. It was nearly impossible to get a reservation yet half the tables were empty the whole night. All of the portions ,whether food or cocktails, were minuscule and expensive. But the worst part is their new staff, from the waitress to hostess to maitre’d to general manager have such attitude issues! They are condescending, patronizing and pretentious and it completely detracts from the place. Everything was an issue. At best, you’ll go here once to see the view and scene.

Reviews of Jean-Georges are mixed, at best. Some folks obviously were bothered by one thing or another, and came out swinging: The worst this and the worst that. Okay. So, crossing our fingerers, my wife and I booked Jean-Georges for lunch as out last meal in Philadelphia (celebrating my wife's birthday). I had no illusions about what the tab would be. We were having lunch in one of the most-expensive hotels in the city, also one of the neatest: A glorious interior design nestled 60 stories above the ground floor. Why isn't it inexpensive, too? Duh. The resto has a huge nut to crack and has to charge what many regard as high prices. Sure, they're not cheap, but what did you expect? The issue is not one of price, but value. Start with the view from 60 stories. Try matching it at a Mickey D's. You can, I suppose, as long as you're a bug. But I'm not, and to say the view was amazingly, incredibly, mind-blowingly awesome does not do it justice. So, what about the lousy service and snotty wait staff? Apparently, they were all off. All that we had left was people who knew how to make folks feel welcome, respected, and in charge. I had a tuna tartar, which was marvelous, and a black-truffle pizza. My wife had the pea soup and asparagus risotto, plus a martini. All four dishes were exquisite. Pricey? Of course! What do you expect at a venue like this? If you don't want to pay the price, don't go. But, as I figure it, I spent $35 to $40 more than I would have at a far lesser place, so the question is, is the extra money spent well-spent. YES! It was a genuine experience, not just a meal. And we'll be having dinner here (which I really cannot afford!) the next time I'm in town, because -- bottom line -- it's worth it.

Dining at Jean-Georges is truly a culinary experience. We went for a late lunch to celebrate our 50th Anniversary because were not able to secure a dinner reservation. It didn't matter because we were treated as special guests regardless. We were greeted at the front door of the Four Seasons Hotel and directed by staff to the elevator to go up to the restaurant. Upon reaching the 59th floor, we were greeted by restaurant staff and escorted to the reservation desk. From there, we were escorted to our table overlooking the Philadelphia Art Museum. Pretty spectacular and it only got better from there. We enjoyed an expertly prepared cocktail while perusing the menu and each decided on choices from the prix fixe lunch menu. Each course was beautifully presented and delicious. The highlight for both of us was the Corn Nut Crusted Salmon cooked to perfection! Service was courteous and attentive during our entire service. Our bill was $170, including a half bottle of excellent E. Guigal Cote du Rhone but not including taxes or gratuity. Extravagant? A little bit but we'd do it again in a heartbeat. Quite possibly our best dining experience ever!

The food is good not great. It fails to meet the expectations that the superb decor and service set.

Jean-Georges Philadelphia is, in my opinion, now the best fine dining restaurant in Philadelphia. My wife and I dined there this week and, although the reservation was a bit of a challenge to secure without being a hotel guest at the Four Seasons, it’s well worth the effort to get in. Starting with the obvious, the ambiance is simply spectacular perched on the 59th floor of the new Comcast Tower. The entire experience was spectacular. Many of the tables (including ours) are right by the wrap-around floor to ceiling windows providing breathtaking vistas of downtown Philadelphia. The service is refined and polished. The food is just incredible. The caviar toast with egg was perfectly executed. The beef carpaccio was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Perhaps the star of the evening was the yellowfin tuna noodles - sushi grade tuna and just absolutely mouthwatering flavors - a not to be missed dish. The lobster with romesco sauce was also stellar. Although the dessert selection is a bit weak, the main menu is just one out of this world dish after another. A highly recommended restaurant for those who are looking to have a world-class fine dining experience in Philadelphia.

it's unbelievable! In November I made in-person, at the restaurant's front desk, reservation for New Year's eve for Jean-George, 6:00 P.M. December 31st. On December 8 I called to confirm the time of the reservation. Guess what? They said that I do not have the reservation, reservations were accepted only for the quests of Four Seasons...for $388 PER PERSON! This is what overpriced, not-so-good food place will do to you. Can you imagine, if my family come at new years eve to that place?!

We have enjoyed the old Fountain Room over 100 times, no exaggeration! We couldn’t wait for Jean-George to open. Finally, we got a reservation and our close, fine-dining companions joined us. We valet parked and were politely escorted to the express elevator to be whisked to the gorgeous floral filled 60th floor lobby. Another hostess walked us to the lounge, and that was the high point. There were no seats at the bar and the 10 empty cocktail tables were allegedly all reserved for bar food patrons. After 5-7 minutes of cajoling and tipping the hostess agreed to give us a table. Then the waiter took 10 minutes to clear the silverware! We ordered drinks and the poor service continued- no apple martini, one menu Chardonnay and the drinks arrived piecemeal after another 15 minutes. We had allowed 45 minutes for cocktails before dinner but insufficient time for the horrible bar service. We had to rush our cocktails and pay the $94 tab plus tip. Rather than walk down 26 steps to the Restaurant on 59, we asked for the local elevator. Two long, barren service hallways later, we arrived at the restaurant lobby and were promptly shown to a lovely window table. We each ordered wine by the glass. I got the premium Cabernet at $38 and received approximately a 3 oz pour! The Foie Gras appetizer was the first food disappointment - a minuscule portion, over-broiled and dried out. Chef LaCroix would have been humiliated at how his legacy dish was presented! The lamb chops were delicious but the size of two lollipop lamb appetizers. The cucumber hash which accompanied the lamb was sour and grossly over salted. My wife had the lobster tails. Tasty but both were the size of her pinky finger. We ordered another round of wine, and while I never received my Cabernet after two requests, the waiter was successful in charging for it (discovered at home). The service was good for the most part but a bit officious. The decor, while shown in the advertising photographs as rich with beautiful flowers, was monochromatic and bland. Except for the elevator lobby, there was only one bouquet at the lower bar. Very stark. The views outside were stunning, however. We came with high expectations and were seriously underwhelmed. They have a LONG way to go to match the Fountain Room’s 5 Diamond status.
Anniversary dinner
Spectacular in every way. Starting with the nonstop elevator on the outside of the building to the top of the hotel, nearly 60 floors. The entrance to the dining room is stunning, glass all around with glass ceiling. No matter where you sit, you can see forever. We saw helicopters flying lower than us. The waiter, Alexander, top notch in every way - almost like you were his only care. He was excellent helping deciding the food and wine. The food, way over and above. Absolutely bursting flavors. Wife had lamb cooked 2 ways, honestly can't pick one over the other-both so good (I tasted). I had chicken in lemon basil sauce - lite breadcrumbs crunchy sitting in the sauce- cant stop thinking about it- so good. Before the entree we were served assortment of artisan breads and then an "amuse busch" ?? To sip, delicious. Desert was also over the top with presentation and flavor. Will be on our list to return, loved it. $200 with tip was very reasonable for such an elegant evening.
