there is a daily special and we usually go on Mondays. Jen has short opening hours and doesn't do special requests. the salads are always good. go early or late as the seating is limited. Parking is a difficult as the area is full of offices who also need parking.

I eat @ Jen's whenever I work in North Dallas. Their Daily Specials are very good! The soups are awesome! My favorite is the Chicken Tortilla Don't forget the desserts. You will not be dissatisfied with any food choice.

Excellent little restaurant hidden on back streets. The place in clean and the workers are extremely nice. They offer sandwiches, soup, salad, baked potatoes, and dessert and it is really good. We had the chicken tortilla soup, caesar salad, Italian sub, chicken provolone sandwich and a lemon bar. Everything was awesome, but the chicken provolone was by far the best. Prices are good, all of that I listed plus 2 drinks was $26.

Aside from the fact that I'm not a fan of the format (stand in a service line vs. waiter/waitress), the food here is fresh, fast, tasty and reasonably priced. And I believe in supporting any business I can in Farmers Branch as a resident. My wife hits this place weekly for the pasta salad, and inventive daily specials...I really like their chili which is obviously crafted on site and with great ingredients. Check it out, you will dig it.

This restaurant is not on a major thoroughfare, yet it is always busy. When we go for lunch, we try to get there early so we won't have to wait for a seat. The people are friendly, the service is fast, and the food is good. I love the soups, and my companions always order the chili. The baked potato bar is great, too. The tomato cucumber salad was delicious, with just the right amount of olive oil dressing. The Asian cabbage salad was not what I was expecting - it seemed a bit bland compared to other spicy Asian salads I've had. The breads and sandwiches are delicious. Save room for dessert - the cookies are buy 3 get 1 free, and how could you resist that?

My friend and I went there for lunch. It’s a little off the beaten path. We both enjoyed our lunch very much. I had a Caesar salad, cup of soup. She had a bowl of chili. We were very pleased with our choices.

I was lucky enough to eat Jen's Place catering twice on a recent business trip. The first day was an incredible baked potato bar and the second wonderful sandwiches. Everything served was great including HUGE cookies! This is a place that does catering well.

Daily specials range from chicken & dumplings to enchiladas to chicken tetrazzini. Check their website for the daily entree, which comes with a veggie, your choice of salad, and a roll. All of the sheet cake-style desserts are shareable and tasty. Strawberry cake is a favorite, along with the chippy cheese bar. The true stars of this place are the smiling team who will take care of you and remember your "usual" order. Be sure to smile back and tip for great service.

The bread is wonderful! Great lunch selection. Although it was busy lunch hour, they were very efficient and moved to serve the line quickly. I will go back when I am working in that area again.

INCREDIBLE muffins and cakes. I visit EVERY month during a business trip to buy treats for my client's staff

Whenever I am near Jen‘s Place, I make it my intention to get there for lunch. I often have meetings out that way. It is the same every time: excellent. The food is so fresh it feels like they made it within minutes of you buying it. The service and the friendliness are exceptional as well. If they were open for dinner, my husband and I would drive there several times a month. After reading “The story” (below) behind how Jen’s place came into being, they have never wavered from their first vision. I love that. I’m sure that’s why they’re super successful still. Can’t wait to go there again soon!!!

I've eaten here at least 6 times in the last 2 years. I would eat here more but they're not open in the evening. So it's mainly when I'm at a business meeting or shopping in that area. The food is absolutely the freshest, they give you big portions, everything tastes homemade, very delicious. They have many choices. It's quick. Very nice atmosphere. The staff is always super friendly and pleasant. Just love this place and everything about it.

Off the beaten track, excellent egg tacos and coffee. Especially if you have a meeting near Greenhill, it is a great place to see a friend after drop-off.

Jen's has the best soups around! I love to go here for lunch, the food is always great. It can be a little crowded at peak times but that just goes to show how popular it is!

Arrival: this is a self-service, cafeteria type place. Line up and order, carry your tray, etc. Overall dining experience: The place is crowded and congested. Interior layout is setup to maximize tables. Ambience: homey cafeteria Food: The very quickly prepared sandwiches, soups, and salads are good. The food quality is not fantastic, but the food is better quality and healthier than fast food. I had vegetable soup and a chicken sandwich. Soup was great, sandwich was good and had a homemade quality about it. Cleanliness: overall decently clean, but table busing was slow. Bathrooms: clean

I work in the area warehouse/interior design district around Alpha Road/Midway Road/Dallas Tollway and I have found that Jen's is a great alternative to the usual array of fast food places around here. Jen's serves a wide variety of freshly made sandwiches, soups, salads and a daily special of dinners such as chicken & dumplings, roast, pasta, and BBQ Brisket (among other things). They also offer fresh fruit cups/bowls, and baked goods like brownies, carrot cakes, and cookies, all of which are delicious. The typical sandwich plate includes a sandwich (whole or half) on either white buns, wheat buns, or as a wrap. Your side options are chips (Ruffle's, I believe...), pretzels, or sliced apples. Also included is a pickle spear. The portions are generous and well made. I often order the Chicken and Provolone Sandwhich which is made with a full chicken breast (not sliced) that has been seasoned, with provolone cheese, honey mustard, lettuce & tomato. Definately makes for a full lunch. The average cost, including a drink, is over or under $10. Which, when you think about it, it's about what you pay for the so-called "value meals" at McDonald's or any other fast food place. So while you may see a review about the prices at Jen's it REALLY isn't that different from other places and it's a more satisfying experiance. So if you're ever in the area, give Jen's a try. PLEASE NOTE: Since JEN'S is located in a buisness district, it's only open Monday through Friday from morning through lunch. I believe it closes at about 2pm.

While visiting Dallas I was treated to lunch at Jen’s Place. It was a great lunch spot. Cafeteria style. Everything is homemade. I had the spinach quiche with fruit, a roll & a drink. It was very good. The seating area is bright and clean. We took homemade cookies home to enjoy later. 👍

We went here on a recommendation and would have never found it on our own. I ate a chicken salad sandwich which was one of the best I have ever had. They serve a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. Not too pricey either. I will go here again when I am back in the area.

I am a loyal customer at Jen's. Last week I was in and in the sandwich line. The pricing is half, whole or a wrap. Since a whole sandwich is the same price for no matter what you get I asked for a 1/2 Tuna Salad and 1/2 Chicken salad sandwich. The lady working the POS screen just looked up and said "No we can't do that". No explanation as to why, just No. The lady making he sandwich was two feet from her so It's not like she could have not said hey make this one a half and half. Plus the lady at the screen looked very annoyed I would ask such a thing! So I am asking now, why can you not make a half and half sandwich?

Jen's Place has always been a favorite of mine. Just great home cooking!

This is a great spot for breakfast:lunch if you work in Addison/Galleria area. They're open M-F and close at 2pm. This a cafeteria style restaurant where you get a tray and pick items. I ALWAYS get the brisket baked potato. It is delicious. They also have a variety of desserts. They must treat their employees well because the same people are always working. It's great because you build a rapport with the employees. I hate when I get cravings for this food on the weekends. I highly recommend for price and portion size. You won't be disappointed.

I discovered this restaurant when they catered a meeting I went to. I was delighted to find out that the restaurant was close enough for me to go to at lunch. Their food is very fresh and tasty. The portions are generous (they have a special each day that for me is enough for two lunches). The employees are friendly and helpful. And the pricing is similar to that for fast food. My office loves it when I go because I bring back a box of their incredible cookies to share.

We got here just in time for the lunch rush. It seems like the place to go for the local business clientle. It was so good! We tried the italian sandwhich on crossiant rolls with the pasta salad. So good! This place was hoppin' from the time we arrived till the time we left. It's got adequete seating..unless it's the lunch rush. Otherwise a must go if you're in this part of town!

This is a hidden gem for breakfast and lunch in #addison,tx. The food is great and fresh. Pricing is average at about 8.99 to 10.99 with drinks at 1.99 but well worth it. Clean restrooms and ALWAYS a crowd for breakfast and lunch. Well known by local businesses. Great for meetings, dates, small and large groups or solo. Definitely suggested if you have the opportunity to try it!

This is a hidden secret in Addison, TX. Jen's Place is a great place for breakfast and lunch. The staff are very professional, fast and polite. The specials are great as well as the other entrees available. Chili, salads, sandwiches, etc are all fresh, tasty and large portions for the price. Average price of entrees are 8.95 and small salads and bowls or chili/soup are 2.95 to 3.50. Wonderful place for business meetings, lunch, meeting friends or just a date. Reminds of place in movie "When Harry met Sally". I highly recommended you eat here sometime soon.

Like a small sandwich place. The food was ok but I felt it was a little pricey. It's kinda in an industrial area and saves employees of nearby businesses from driving too far for lunch.

I have been working a few blocks from this place for almost 4 years, and just recently discovered this place. The food is amazing. I have yet to try something I did not like. They have different specials everyday that I usually try or I go with a Frito pie or tuna salad, not to mention the desserts they are to die for.The customer service is amazing and the restaurant itself has a great vibe. I am so glad I discovered this hidden gem! My only wish is that they were open later or on weekends.

We always order from here when we are in town for business. The chili is amazing. The food is great overall and oh my, the desserts. The prices are very reasonable and a good variety to choose from. Highly recommended!!

This place has good food and desserts. The chili is excellent and the portion size is more than enough. The sandwiches are very tasty and you can taste the freshness of the bread. I have tried all the desserts and they are good, but the carrot cake is the best.

My go-to lunch stop in Dallas - soups are fantastic, sandwiches solid, and daily specials can't be beat.

I absolutely love this place. It is perfect every time. I don’t live near this location, but anytime I am within 30 minutes of it, I go there. It’s the freshest food ever. They give you lots of food and the prices are super reasonable. The customer service is top notch. There are so many choices no matter what your diet is, they have food for it. Absolutely homemade, fresh and tasty. Their baked goods are excellent. Love this place.

Jen's is a very convenient and friendly place for a casual lunch if you are in the North Dallas area. They do not have a big menu or table service, but the food is always excellent. The have daily specals and the chicken and dumplings are one of my favorites. You can get a a great sandwich, a quiche or a wonderful salad. The food line moves quick and the prices are very reasonable.
One of the best hidden gems around
Jen's is kind of like a sandwich shop, kind of like a school lunch line - but, don't let that scare you away. The food is made from scratch and fresh every day. I have yet to try anything on the daily specials menu that was not mouth-watering (especially the seasoned brisket and the parmesan chicken - mmmm...). It is busy during lunch, if you go between noon and 1pm. But, the take away line is usually short, and the turnaround time on an order is quick. Great value, too, for the amount of food you get.
