My family and i have been eating here almost 10 yrs now. Food is so fresh and good. Customer service is amazing. Especially when the owner is there. I highly recommend this place especially if you have a big appetite. Bon appétit !

This place is a unique experience. This is my second time there and there will be more visits. You pick your food and you grill on your own personal hibachi type grill. Conservative choices include beef short ribs, beef brisket, spicy chicken, pork, shrimp, and fish. If you want to experiment you can choose to grill frog legs, chicken hearts, and other good stuff. All you can eat on the weekends is about $20. The place is kind of small and parking can be limited due to being shared with other restaurants off of Convoy Street. I made a reservation for Sunday @ 1pm and there was a line. They called to ask me to move my reservation, which I declined to do so because I was hungry. Good stuff!

My family and I came here after searching for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. They had gone to one in Hawaii and were determined to find one locally. The service was great; very friendly and prompt. The variety and quality of food was great as were the sauces they offered. The signs on the walls were cute and artwork on the ceiling gave it a casual, friendly atmosphere. We'll definately be back.

On the outside it looks completely different then the inside in a good way. If you are looking for authentic Korean food and with the cultural experience this is a must go! A downfall is that it looks expensive looking at the menu but anything above $20 can be shared with two people.

Quality of the meat was excellent and the service was attentive. Brisket and spicy pork were my favorites and you should try as many of the sauces as possible. White fish and the horse radish sauce was especially gratifying. Will definitely come back.

I really enjoy this place. They have a buffet of like 20 different raw meats, another buffet of appetizers and veggies - cut and ready to grill. There are a dozen or so marinades and sauces as well as lettuce for wraps. Lunch was around $26 but was well worth it. I do think they stopped including soft serve. I didn't ask but the machine wasn't there anymore.

What a great little place! My husband wanted to try this place to see if it compared to the Korean BBQ he has had in Korea. He said it's similar, only a few differences but we both really enjoyed it. The food was very fresh, the miso soup was fantastic. I loved the ambiance it felt like I was at home eating with my crazy family (if you like that kind of thing). I loved it. Would deff go back!

We were visiting San Diego from South Florida. We have ONE AYCE Korean BBQ in the whole South Florida area which is pretty bad quality for Korean BBQ standard. When we walked into this place, we were skeptical since the majority of the people who work there were non-Asians. But we figured we'll give it a try because anything is going to be better than the KBBQ in South Florida. Also, the majority of the customers were Asians so it had to be good for Asian standard hahaha. We're glad we gave this place a chance because they were great! Wonderful buffet selection in terms of meats and side dishes. Different choices of dipping sauce as well. The servers were friendly and attentive. They changed our grill twice without request and our water was always topped. We were one of the last tables for the night and at no point we felt rushed. The waitstaff even came over our table for a small chitchat. We're looking forward for our return visit the next time we're in the San Diego area. PS: The only thing we didnt like from this location is the parking area and thats no fault of the restaurant. The parking spaces are so tiny and narrow. Seems like they were made for a Mini Cooper or a Fiat. We had a fullsize SUV and had to park away from other cars in fear that we'll get dings from other cars. Next time we'll bring the Mini Cooper lol

What a find for all you can eat Korean BBQ. I'm Korean and this is home cooking. This is real Korean food, so be hungry. The food is fresh and the choices for the BBQ are great. You pick the meats and cook it at your table yourself. The waiters were very friendly and the service was great. I will deffintley come back to this place.

We have to visit Jeong Won every time we're in San Diego. This time, we went with a large group of family. Service was a little slow for drinks and other special requests but the staffs constantly refilled the meat and side dishes stations. Pork bellies and briskets were my all time favorite. I love that there were many choices of dipping sauce for me to choose. My favorite was the red spicy sauce. Side dishes were delicious, especially cucumber, Kimchi and bean sprouts. I didn't see the green lettuce anywhere. It would be nice if there were some offered. Miso soup was just okay. There were rarely tofu and seaweed in there. Price was reasonable. I was happy with overall experience.

First I want to start by saying that the vibe in this place is pretty cool. There are random signs and quotes throughout the restaurant which throw in for a comical night. Selection is pretty good, but I have had better for the price. The reason they are getting the 4 stars though is their sauce bar. Loved it and loved that I could make my own as I hate when I am brought a sauce that I know isn't "just right". would eat here again just for the sauces but I prefer other places for more options.

This restaurant will not disappoint! Having gone there with friends and business clientele, everyone must be impressed with the food, the owner, Suksha, and the value since each of them has returned multiple times with their friends and business clientele! The food is consistently good. The owner personally makes each of the marinades for the entrees and side dishes which are outstanding. Kind of like Cheers, where the owner knows each of her patrons by name. It is a can't miss for anyone who enjoys Korean BBQ.

The owner of the restaurant and her staff are so friendly, that it felt as if we were dining in her family home. There was so much variety in the food items we could barbeque that we were just amazed.

I've been here a handful of times and I'm impressed every time I visit. I took my parents on my more recent visit and they loved it. That alone should speak volumes. These people are notorious for eating at home because it's cheaper and they can "make it better". The selection of meat and seafood is excellent. They have bulgogi, bacon, thinly sliced sirloin, marinated chicken, fish, shrimp, intestine, lamb, etc. I stick to the bulgogi, bacon, fish, and sirloin. The chicken takes awhile to cook, so don't grab a bunch of chicken if you're hungry. :) They also have a section for fresh veggies ready to grill. My favorites are mushrooms, corn, onions, and zucchini. Most Korean BBQ places don't have veggies, just meat. They have a wide variety of sauces. The spicy sauce wasn't spicy but it had a great flavor when added to the meat. The vegan sauce is also a winner. The kimchee wasn't that great but the other side dishes were tasty. The bean sprout salad, potato salad, spicy tofu, and spicy cucumber salad stood out for me. I love this place. The waiters are attentive and the overhead exhaust fans keep the place from being too smokey. Don't forget to ask for Korean pancakes. These aren't at the all you can eat counter. They bring these babies out fresh. We visited at 11:30am on a Sunday and we were seated right away. Beat the lunch and dinner rush by going a little early.

The food was very good and it was nice to go & pick out the items (a whole buffet of fresh meats) we wanted on our own. Everything is fresh & the staff replenishes the food often. The only thing I would change is for the same price at other Korean BBQ restaurants you get some great side dishes. Here there is only a kimchi bar with various kimchi’s & a vegetable area with some fresh veggies to grill. I was just missing the other sides that are usually provided especially candied sweet potatoes. Definitely a fun place though & the staff is very attentive.

Jeong Won is offers all-you-can-eat and traditional menu dining. For the AYCE, you sit at a table with a burner in its center and prepare your own meat Krean BBQ style. The menu has 8-10 differnt meat slections, and as it is AYCE, you may order as many as you like. Like most Korean restaurants, a number of little dishes are served as is rice and soup. The service was outstanding and the price is quite fair for all you can eat. The food quality was average at best, but for the price this is a good deal at $19.95 per person. There are other Korean restaurants iN San Diego that serve better quality meat, but for the price Jeong Won is a good deal. Go hungry!

They have a raw meat buffet and a raw veggie (and more buffet) along with a Korean appetizer (think potato salad, seaweed, kimchi...) buffet. You load up your plate, add sauces if needed and grill it up ON YOUR OWN TABLE! Soooooo neat! Gunk up your grill? They'll change it out with a new one! Also make sure you try the Korean/savory pancake - at first I was skeptical thinking 'no fillers for me hahaha' but they are delicious.

Was taken here on a special occasion and there are lots of great choices of food to bbq yourself. I especially enjoyed the fruited chicken but if you like spicy food, there are many choices. Excellent service as they replace your grill as it gets blackened and refill drinks and soup. A very friendly place. I would avoid some of the vegetables as they are sliced pretty thick which makes them hard to get grilled entirely. It was very great experience.

Fun time with foodie friends. Generous buffet. All you can eat Korean bbq. $25/person very reasonable. Parking is a challenge.

All you can eat awesomeness. Beware there is usually a line to get seated. You leave with the smell of Korean BBQ in your clothes and hair so go straight home afterwards.

Jeong Won all-you-can-eat BBQ is really good value for your money. Tasty meats, fast service.

I stopped in to taste the AYCE Korean BBQ and was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. Its AYCE and you get the meat yourself. Good quality, good service and definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

I am from a town that does not have a Korean restaurant and was looking forward to eating Korean food again. Because of tripadvisor ratings we chose this restaurant. We had a group of five and had plenty of room. The buffet was rather large and had a nice selection of meats. I was familiar with the Korean names of the meat and they had Americanized the names so I had to ask which one was which. Everyone enjoyed the idea of cooking their food at the table and had a very good time. The staff was very friendly and was happy to assist us in any questions about how to prepare or eat the food. Great time and look forward to our next visit to San Diego.

lots of choices I like bulgolgi. its in a strip mall that has 8 food vendors in it. parking is tough so get there early

I think that the smell of the BBQ gets all over your clothes was a bad thing but all you can eat BBQ which has so many types of meats it is nice that you have control of how you want your meat cooked and prepared fresh right there by you.

A fun adventure to select your meats (about 8 choices) grill it yourself, and enjoy the complementary Korean pickled sides. Excellent attentive staff always checking if you need anything (Korean pancake, cooking grate change-out, etc). Parking lot can get full but there is plenty of free street parking on the side of the mall. Will definitely head back to eat again. We went at 4 pm on a Sunday and place was only 1/4 full but entirely staffed for the later dinner crowd.

You start by having miso soup and rice with your drink. You go to the buffet bar and pick out your meat and slap it on your table grill. Spicy sauces, ginger sesame oils, amazing stuff. Fresh veggies, good quality meat. The place was DEEEEELISH. I would most definitely go back…you walk out smelling of Korean BBQ but so worth it.

Food and service was excellent. Every table in the place was filled. Reasonable price for what you get. I definitely will come back again.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! The food was sensational and I love that you get to pick your own meat. So different than most Korean BBQs where you ask for the meat and they serve it. This is just a nice little restaurant with a great little feel to it and a wonderful staff. I enjoyed it tremendously. I'm sure there are tons of other all you can eat BBQ places that I should try but I absolutely love this place and have gone back again and again!

So good! Get up any time to grab and eat anything you want. Don't have to wait for a server to bring you your food and you can choose which meat you can eat. Servers are quick to replace your grill plate so you can cook more food. Better prices and selection compared to other BBQ places

This place is my all time favorite Korean BBQ buffet. It is a little small, however, if you go on their off peak hours or lunch there's no wait at all. The food is amazing, always fresh! They have a lot of different variety of meats, veggies, and side dishes. Also, lots of sauce to choose from. I like that I get to get my own meats instead of waiting on someone to bring it to my table. Oh, my 1 year old daughter loves their korean pancake that they bring to you along with miso soup. And they have drinks, beer and ice cream!!! AHHHH so many good things about this place!!! Never had bad service here, they refill your water and change your grill often and the owner or boss is super friendly!!! I would come here just to see her smiley face!!!

Great Korean BBQ that is worth the lines and the average service for the great amount of food and side dishes!
Super fresh
Excellent selection and service! Lots of cooking and sampling different sauces and flavors! My nephew's favorite restaurants turns out to be one I would go to again when in town! Clean
