Stumbled upon this nice bar/restaurant when searching for place close to the new Fillmore Philadelphia. Classic gastropub fare, with modest selection of craft beers, very good whiskey's, etc.... Modest menu as well - but everything we tried was very good (pork belly, meatball app, brined wings). Very cool covered outdoor area as well. What is key is that this place is maybe a 3 minute walk from the Fillmore (just opened Oct 1, 2015), with parking for the Fillmore in between, under I95 - so mostly covered.

I needed to find a place for brunch in NoLibs on a Sunday morning and didn't want to have to wait for 2 hours for a table. I got on Yelp and searched for places that took reservations. Jerry's Bar was one of a few, and it got great reviews, so I made a res for noon. Sunday came, and my friend and I were finished with our morning activity and arrived at the restaurant an hour early. We had no idea if they'd be able to seat us but figured it was worth a shot. After a few minutes, the hostess took us to the second level and we had a fabulous table at the edge of the balcony, overlooking the very pleasant and not-too-loud jazz duo and the bar. The food was great. I recommend the Eggs Jerry and a mimosa. They don't skimp on the champagne! My friend and I sat and ate and talked for two and a half hours, and at no point did anyone ever try to usher us out to free up the table. The waiter checked in about more coffee and water, and he only brought the bill when we asked for it. All in all a great experience. We'll be back.

This was my second visit and it was great again. The manager, Marianne, was wonderful. The food is a diverse mix. My wife ordered sushi and I had the BBQ brisket. Both were great. Beer list is exceptional. I love the patio seating.

Multiple seating areas are really great - inside of the bar has a great vibe, the adjacent courtyard is very nice and chill, and then there's the upstairs section that overlooks the main bar. Food was excellent - a little pricey but when you roll the ambiance/atmosphere into it, it's worth it. Drinks were excellent. You don't need a ton of detail - plain and simple a hip spot for brunch and drinks. Definitely recommended.

Northern Liberties is always amazing and this place is no exception. Local clientele and friendly atmosphere. Limited but very nice menu and all in all a great evening. Try it and enjoy it.

nice place to get away on a sunday or brunch. food was great and the service was unique you can tell that the servers and bar tenders enjoyed there job. The atmosphere was perfected with live jazz 2 man band.. Great corner bar and restaurant. rustic with a modern vibe.

My wife and I really wanted to like Jerry's. The room is beautifully done. Bright, clean, not too loud, kind of steam-punk retro...Casual and elegant at the same time. You could spend hours at the bar relaxing, drinking, eating, conversing...BUT you'd be let down by both the food and the prices. We went at happy hour. Nicely draft beers were discounted by $2.00 because most of them are $8.00 or more at regular prices. Excellent selection of esoteric microbrews, but at $9.00 a light, summery brew at 4.5% alcohol shouldn't be served in a 10 oz. goblet. Short pours are generally more appropriate for higher alcohol beers. Ok, we're in hip Northern Liberties, I'm not expecting a $3.00 pint of something special but a 10 oz. pour of a good microbrew discounted at happy hour still costs you $7.00? Steep prices guys. So with prices like this and such a pretty and inviting room, I'm expecting a pretty special experience. Nope. The menu focuses mainly on small plates and sandwiches with three entrees thrown in for those seeking dinner. We were informed by our bartender that on this particular evening two of the small plates were being discounted for happy hour. One being fried green tomatoes and the other a spicy rock shrimp lettuce wrap. So we ordered both. Both plates looked great, very nicely presented. BUT the tomatoes were essentially raw beneath their coating of cornmeal. Crunchy raw green tomatoes and a cornmeal coating that fell off as we ate them. The rock shrimp was portioned generously but tasted stale and old, not bad yet but far from fresh. The shrimp were also breaded but had been tossed in a siracha mayo that saturated the breading and caused it to lose any crispness and become soggy and wet. The lettuce wraps as a result were impossible to eat by hand as I assume they had intended and we were forced to hold them together like wet burritos until they completely fell apart. I liked the idea of both of these dishes and the presentation was great but they both fell short due to poor execution. Neither was terrible mind you but if we had paid the full menu price of $13.00 for the shrimp or $11.00 for the tomatoes I would have felt completely ripped off. These are $9.00 and $7.00 dishes at best. Four slices of nearly raw green tomato for $11.00? For shame. After these two small plates and one beer each we decided to move on for our dinner to one of the neighborhood's more established gastropubs where at least we know if we spend $13.00 on an appetizer it's going to be special and made with care. I'll go on to mention that our bartender who was pleasant and patient while we took our time selecting our beers became curt and silent after we asked for the tab after only having happy hour specials. The check was dropped and paid with no thank you's or goodbyes. Maybe I've been particularly hard on Jerry's with this review but as I said I wanted to like this place. They've got great potential here and they're shooting for the stars with a great room, an ambitious menu and even more ambitious prices. Now it's time to deliver the goods. Give us the experience that the room and the ambition lead us to believe lies within.

We've been here a few times over the summer as it's around the corner from us and the daily specials are phenomenal. We raved over the chilled snap pea soup with creme fraise and caviar and the roasted corn soup. Other faves on the regular menu include the pan seared trout almondine, the seafood fra diavolo, the French dip sandwich and the French onion soup. To die for, however, are the moules frites that have an elegant wine/shallot sauce with shoestring fries atop. Even though it's officially labeled a bar (and the bar is attractive and prominently featured in the small bistro), don't be fooled. The food is as deserving as any gourmet location in the city--and more reasonably priced. Service can be a bit spotty depending on your server (try not to get a hipster who doesn't know his cuts of beef or nuanced differences in the beer / wine selections...sorry!) but do get yourself to Jerrys.

Stopped in with my wife prior to a Sunday show at the Fillmore. Hip vibe with plenty of nooks and crannies. Friendly service and interesting menu. Loved the octopus and pork belly; large portions. Share some small plates and grab a couple of drinks and head to the show. It's a quick walk and definitely worth it.

We were celebrating my Misters birthday and he wanted to check out Jerry's so we did. Jerry's has an impressive beer selection, a nice atmosphere, and nicely tucked away in a residential neighbourhood in Northern Liberties provided better parking than being on 2nd St; thought it's a easy walk from wherever you can find parking. The Whiskey Sour was entirely too sour and had to be tweaked, so unless they improve on the mix or you're into extremely sour drinks, I can't say I'd recommend it. I won't say it's a bad place based on one bad drink and will give it another try.

Chanced upon this funky restaurant tucked down a side street in North Philedelphia after a trip to the equally brilliant Harvest restaurant around the corner. Great food, tasty burgers, spicy salsas, good pizzas and a fun vibe. recommended

We had an absolutely amazing time at my son's First Holy Communion Brunch. It was held upstairs in our own private room and bar. The vibe of this place is very cool and the food was excellent. We started the with warm sticky buns and fresh fruit. The Greek salad was excellent and I loves the pulled pork sliders. I can not wait to go back.

I saw this place mentioned in Zagat online. Me and a friend decided to check it out for the Sunday Brunch. There wasn't a wait - so that was a plus. I like the drink choices and having a live band play in the background doesn't hurt. We tried the homemade cinnamon bun to start - delicious!! As we decided on our main dishes - We went with the french toast - which had vanilla ice cream on top...Somewhat Sweet, so be aware, Bacon, Steak & Eggs. The food was ok, I have had better, the the service is what made the experience better. I appreciated the retro look of the restaurant and I felt that the patron were a nice mix, not all hipsters, families or loud folks. I thought it was mellow enough, but managed to have a good vibe. I would return, maybe dinner visit.

I preface my review by saying that I have loved Jerry’s Bar since I moved the neighborhood 3 years ago. The central Northern Liberties location, good food, and delicious cocktails made this a common gathering place for my friends and roommates. However, I went for the last time a month ago. I don’t plan to go back until it’s under new management. The service that our party received was nothing short of abysmal. Yes, we were there the day of the Broad Street Run so we expected it to be busy, but when you 1. Make a party wait 70 minutes for their food 2. Bring out two incorrect omelets 3. Bring out two incorrect eggs benedict dishes 3. Bring out all five of our orders at different times 4. Don’t really apologize for any of the above 6. Say that you will take two entrées off the bill, only take one off, add one more coffee then we ordered, AND split the bill unevenly… It’s more than just the crowds. This experience is also unfortunate for Jerry’s because all five of us told all of our friends and acquaintances about this terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat brunch.

We drove here on an early Sunday afternoon when we could night find the restaurant we were originally looking for. A serendipitous stumble upon to be sure - live jazz brunch, and great service, Despite no reservations, they got us in and out for our 2 pm theatre. The coffee was excellent and so was my falafel with a huge deep green salad. Our daughter feasted on the house cured gravlax with her eggs and my husband's eggs and more were good, too.

Buyer beware. I am feeling a bit ripped off. We had wonderful Irish coffee to start. Then a sticky bun that was so good, warm and delicious. Very larger portions. The fried chick Bennie was good but not remarkable. The thing that really stopped this from being a five is thru auto add the 20 percent gratuity. We had our card there and before we had a chance to look at check were asked if we were ok with the machine for payment. We said ok. This prompted us to tip again. When leaving we realized a double tip. Thx food is good. Super cute place. Just know going in they auto add twenty percent gratuity.

We visited Jerry’s for a night out before a concert. Nice upscale look, there were two musicians playing good music at the front, and the place looked clean. We had a reservation for 7:15 and we were quickly sat at a nice table. From there, the evening went quickly downhill. We ordered drinks, and at first glance it didn’t appear the waitress got our order. I asked to confirm our drink order because there was some debate at the table as to what everyone was having and which kegs were kicked. She repeated three of the drinks and then showed me her tablet and asked, “what does this say?” The drinks came out wrong, we then ordered small plates and a sandwich to split. Very quickly, one of the small plates came out which was decent. We then waited for 40 minutes - no drinks, no check ins from the waitress, nothing. We then were delivered three sandwiches which we didn’t order. To correct the issue the waitress asked us to reorder, and then replies, “I remember now having this conversation.” 20 minutes later our food comes out, and again, the food was decent, some of it was good, but not great. We got no new drinks, very little clean up of the table, and by now the place cleared out considerably. I had to beg the waitress for our bill and when I saw her chasing the manager down with the check I knew there was an issue. 20 minutes after asking for the check, and now 2 hours in to the debacle I was presented a check that had the three wrong sandwiches and our reordered food. 10 minutes of trying to fix the issue, I had enough. I told the manager I had to leave (we were now 45 minutes late for the concert) and did my best to estimate the bill and paid cash. If you are reading this review and own or manage the place, and my guesstimate was wrong, you have my contact information (or at least should) from my open table reservation. What a cluster!

Food was fantastic, and live jazz really enhanced our morning. The bloody Jerry with a giant shrimp was delicious, great draft beer selection. Love the decor.

Jerry's is a new addition that feels like it's been part to the neighorhood for years. Strong gastropub fare and good cocktails and slightly off the beaten path make for a fun atmostphere. Jazz brunch on Sunday is great, but leave the t-shirt and sweats at home.

Our family of 12 had a marvelous special holiday event at Jerrys Bar Our dinner at Jerrys Bar was oue best holiday event ever. Having our own room with a menu prepared just for us was awesome. The holiday atmosphere in the room added to the enjoyment. Kyle and the staff that served us were outstanding. We can’t say enough about the attitude, service and attentiveness of the staff. There when need, unobtrusive when not. And the food! The duck rice was the hit and highlight of the evening for most of us. It’s a winner. The chicken was spectacular and just what we needed to please the broad range of palates at the table. All the other menu items were delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was served at just the right temperature. Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff. You will be pleased with everything about Jerrys Bar.

My wife and I were going to an event in Philadelphia that was being held at Jerry's bar on West Laurel Street, close to I-95. Its in an upscale looking renovation area with several smart looking apartment buildings. The building is a bar and restaurant, with upstairs space for parties and events. We arrived about an hour early, so we sat at the bar. They serve brunch on weekends. At 12:15 PM on a Saturday, the place was crowded. They do s great business. It was a millennial crowd and everyone looked like they were having a great time. High energy just after noon on a Saturday. We sat at the bar. My wife had a ginger ale, which I think ran $3.00. I had a Virgin Mary, which was probably $6.00. This was probably the best Virgin Mary I've ever had! Certainly it was the best looking! It was served in a tall glass with celery (that's pretty usual), but it had a long toothpick skewer with a grape tomato, olive, gherkin pickle and a hot pepper. That was great! The Virgin Mary was quite spicy. I asked for water and it cane promptly even though the bartender was pretty busy. We were happy. Are there drawbacks? Parking is a problem. It's a residential area, not a parking lot or garage in sight. Some commercial buildings with no parking in driveway signs. Two hour max parking on the street. The bartender explained the police ticket. To his credit, he mentioned parking in the other direction was free, but there were no spaces. Parking isn't their fault, but it helps to live in walking distance. Another interesting feature: as you drive around and are about a block away, there's a yellow sports car, probably from the 70's or 80's parked at a T intersection about a block away. The sign on the door reads "Jerry's Bar" with an arrow pointing in the right direction. This looked like a fun place. The event we

I wanted to eat at another place which has been a favorite for years. After the rude response I got there from a 12 year old hostess we left and decided to see what Jerry's is like. I remember it being a dive bar years ago so I was surprised to see the building made over and it having a lot historical elements. The patio area is very nice and quiet. The music is at a level where you can still talk and hear each other. The cocktails were great but there were not a lot of food items to choose from. Our waitress was very friendly and very kind to my 4 year old. This is a good place for people with kids and a great place for a date. We will be back for Happy Hour or Brunch.

Seems like a nice enough place, but beware: eat before you arrive; by the time the kitchen gets around to preparing your food, you will ready to eat again. It also seems it's about a 50/50 chance you will receive what you actually ordered. After spending over an hour waiting for a Jerry's Burger, I was unapologetically brought the incorrect order and essentially told to suck it up; unless I wanted to wait another half hour+, I'd be stuck with the wrong dish and have to pay for it. Best advice is stay away from this customer service nightmare.

Just a great experience yesterday for brunch. From the minute we entered the welcoming vibe was present. Our server Stephanie was on point and our food was delicious. We had a burger and a breakfast burrito both of which were excellent. I think the chai expresso martini was the best I’ve ever had. I love the decor, taking advantage of the historic building. Parking was easy and the whole team really works to make a great experience. Can’t wait to go back.

In for brunch with a large multi generation family and friends group. Great space, downstairs and up. Music very well done. Nice selection of draft beer. The spicy Bloody Mary was a hit for a few of us. Food very tasty with the burger, eggs Benedict, pecan bun and poached eggs and lox over potato latkes deserving special mention. Service a bit here-jerky including a very late arriving(and cold)sausage biscuits and gravy. They did comp that miss. Worth a return.

Stopped in before a show at the Fillmore, about a five minute walk. What a gem! Bartender Steve was cool and they boast a fabulous selection of some of the finest PA craft beers. Good Happy Hour deals (4-6). $2 oysters. Nice menu, the enchiladas delivered a little heat & a little sweet, very tasty. Interested in trying the house made pierogis. They offer jazz brunch on weekends and the most beautiful Bloody Mary I’ve seen (it was pictured) but didn’t taste...I’ll surely make a return visit for that. Also met some nice folks. Thanks for a fun time!

My husband found this great spot online. We had a fantastic brunch today. The food is terrific, great jazz playing and the service was terrific. We live in center city and wanted to try something new for brunch. My husband ordered the "Jerry Bloody Mary" and said it was one of the best he's had in a long time. The lamb sliders (a special) were so delicious we suggested they put them on the regular menu. All our food was delicious. We truly did not have a bad bite of food. Great vibe in a neighborhood that is clearly up an coming. We all ordered something different and the menu is creative with some great twists on some old classics. The upstairs where we dined was a bit noisy---but not to the point of being a problem. There were some families dining--but it feels a bit more like a spot for friends to gather. Looking forward to having dinner at Jerry's Bar very soon.

Went to brunch with a group of 13. We had reservations, so no problems being seated. So we sat and waited for the very slow service. Now remember, we had reservations made earlier in the week, so there should not be a surprise about the size of the group. Now for the meal. The cream cheese sticky bun was burned on bottom. The turkey sausage was burned on bottom, the French fries were cold and hard. My burger was extremely ordinary. The waiter was very slow bringing out the food, and some had to wait. Yes, they automatically add 20% tip on the bill. We expected some issues based upon the size of the party, but did not expect to be let down. I know that the wait staff did not provide a 20% experience to us! I am very vocal about getting what I pay for, but did not address this with the management. I should have provided constructive criticism in person.

One of my go-to bars in my neighborhood. Food is good but the cocktails are even better. Can be a bit crowded on a Saturday night but overall chill environment.

We stopped in for a drink on a Friday around 11pm. We were surprised that only a few people were hanging in the bar area, but pleasantly so. Bartender makes an excellent vodka lavender moon, and we’ll be back.

Sat outside with our dog. Had a wonderful meal. Food was great. I’m a vegetarian, and the tofu scramble was delicious! The service was excellent !

Cool space and great go-to for a pre-show event at the Fillmore. If the place is crowded be sure to ask about sitting in the bar upstairs. Nice selection of beers and spirits. The food was excellent. Would definitely visit again.

We had the total opposite experience of some of the earlier reviews. When we arrived, we opted to sit outside. Our waitress was on her game - we ordered off the happy hour menu and had an A+ experience - smooth Old Fashioneds, beautifully presented hummus plate (loved the soft nan), crispy outside, soft inside zucchini and squash fries, and divine $5 pork/provolone sandwich. We were impressed! Bon appetite.

Burnt fish waited 25 min, no food yet in sight. Asked for a the 2nd cocktail bartender missed the lavender, asked for it to be added and he told me to back to my table and get my server , he was too busy!!!

We were greeted promptly and were able to get a seat for 2 on a Saturday night at 7. The waitress was friendly, came to the table quick and took our drink order. But the bar must have been really backed up because they took a long time. We were seated by the bar, so we couldn't tell how many people were in the other room or upstairs, but I guess it was busy! We were sat right next to the window and there was a really strong draft on a cold night, I didn't want to complain but probably should have moved. I ordered the pear salad with chicken and the chicken was cooked perfectly, very tender. My husband had the frenched free range chicken breast with butternut squash puree, which he devoured. I definitely recommend the food. I would like to sit in a different room next time.

After visiting my daughter on a stinking hot day we were looking for a place for dinner in her new neighborhood. She searched YELP and found Jerry's Bar in Northern Liberties. I was a little skeptical at first but after looking at the menu we decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did. We later found out it has only been open for a month but they do everything right. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous, the service was great and the beer list was very diverse. The food though took the show. Everything we ordered was wonderful. All in all, one of the best dinners I've had in a while. I can't wait to go back.

Jerry's Bar is an incredibly warm and comfortable neighbor bar/restaurant. The food was very good with a menu that had just the right assortment of small plates and dinners. We opted to share many appetizers and were very glad we did..... The cocktails were delightful. The upstairs seating was more quiet and made for a lovely evening. There is nothing pretentious here, just a solid neighborhood jem.

Del Monica Steak was cooked to perfection. Hard to go wrong with. Lobster ravioli were amazing. Highly recommend. Service was great. Beer was great. I would recommend for anyone visiting Philly. For a place called Jerry’s Bar it seems like it should eh called Jerry’s restaurant because the food was awesome.

A laid back atmosphere with a nice selection of food, small plates, cocktails and good conversation. Relax and enjoy a nice meal with the locals! We live walking distance to Jerry's and visit 4 or 5 times a month!

Excellent Place for any age couple to eat & drink. The kind of place where you want to hang at the bar for a drink or two before dinner and plan on sticking around after dinner. Bartenders were REAL bartenders with true class.

Early Saturday afternoon lunch with our 20 somethings. Great options, staff and outdoor/indoor seating.

Went here on a beautiful Friday night and we enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Had some sushi at the bar (Dragon Roll 4*) and some draft beers. They have a good rotation of beers that change from time to time. We will definitely return :)

Really nice addition to the Northern Liberties neighborhood, we have dined here 3 times since they opened & have enjoyed each meal. Solid comfort food including great soups, generous salads and very good burgers. Vegetable side dishes were also excellent & a vegetarian should have no problem dining at this location. HIghly rec the Trout salad, Dip Trio and the pierogi. My favorite house cocktail is the Autumn Blossom (which I prefer on the rocks) a gin, aperol & lemon drink that is refreshing & not too sweet. Service is very friendly, mostly efficient & when they do have minor mishaps, they acknowledge it, fix it, apologize & move on quickly. During one visit we had a rough time getting one cocktail right but all was sorted out with sincerity in a timely manner. Things you should know: 1. Parking is tight. If you don't need to bring a car, don't and/or carpool. 2. It can get super noisy. There's a lot of glass & wood with no soundproofing that I can see. This plus the fact that Jerry's is good for large groups can make it especially loud on Friday & Saturday nights in the bar area. This means noise - expect it and you should be fine. 3. Reservations for large groups only.

Stopped at Jerry's after a walking tour in center city. This place has a nice beer selection and food menu. We sampled a couple excellent micro brews. their excellent Crab Cakes, Gnochi and hanger steak. Our friend had been here before and had said the service and food have always been good. Nice outdoor seating also.

A favorite! This one does not disappoint. Went for a late night dinner. Stephanie gave us amazing service. Great wine and old fashions. The stuffed chicken was served warm and delicious. Almost like comfort food. The bread pudding does not disappoint.

This was the perfect place to have dinner before attending a nearby event. It was a Wednesday evening, so it wasn't jam-packed at 5pm (when we had reservations), and the restaurant was very accommodating to help adjust our booking from six to eight people. The servers were friendly, the food was solid and the drinks were tasty. I'd definitely recommend. Also...great happy hour specials!

We found this amazing place before a Sting show at the Fillmore Philly. They had a great variety of original cocktails. The ones we tried were great. The food was also great, as well. We already have reservations (which are recommended) for a few weeks from now. Can't wait to go back. btw, Jerry's is also walking distance from the Sugarhouse casino.

We had just returned home from a 7 week cruise and decided to get a bite to eat before filling up the pantry. Though we have driven past Jerry's Bar a number of times, we never took the opportunity to go in. Boy, are we glad we did. What a rustically cute place, with perfectly placed tables, along with a very comfortable bar area. They have a nice size wine and beer list, along with a number of daily food specials. My husband ordered the Onion Soup (dark, rich and very good) and the chipotle honey wings (didn't go over as well as the soup). I ordered the soup special (matzo balls with chicken and vegetables - yummy), and the French Dip sandwich (excellent; half was taken home). This is new find for us, and we will certainly return in the very near future.

Went before a show at the Fillmore. Server was very nice. Food was just ok and pricey. Not alot to choose from. More liquor than food. Had the sweet potato gnocchi and everything fries. Our bill was 50$. Probably wouldn't go back just because they don't offer too many food choices and it's very small and dark. Service was excellent though.

More than a pub, outdoor bar, great food. Awesome mixed drinks, this is a great choice to relax, drink some great tasting drinks. We dropped by there a couple of weeks ago for 1 drink and wound up staying 2 hours until they closed. Highly recommended

The beer is excellent, so is the service, and the food is absolutely terrific. The location is very quiet - and the bar has great ambience with several different spaces. One of Philly's better gastropubs, and that's saying a great deal.

We stumbled upon Jerry's Bar in walking around the revitalized Northern Liberties area a few weeks ago. There are lots of bars/breweries in this downtown area, but Jerry's ended up being one of our favorites. The service was excellent, and we found that the menu contained some healthier choices for bar food (i.e. roasted brussels sprouts). The wings and burgers were great, and there was a good selection of beers and spirits. Look forward to stopping in again while visiting the area.

My fiance chose Jerry's for our evening out after the family holiday visits. Good thing he knew the location! Fair wine list and some specialty cocktails, excellent beer selection but not all listings available. Fresh oysters half shell and well thought out trio of dips trencher for starters; the dip assortment was terrific value and lots of side items included on it. After traditional holiday meals both had the Jerry's burger with brioche bun grilled onions cheese and side salad; greens well tossed with vinaigrette, burgers delicious, just couldn't figure out the oily substance on the brioche (salad dressing? grease? butter?). Definitely will return on our next Philly trip!

Sunday Brunch at Jerry's was superb. Sweet patio outside, nice jazz on the inside. Cool decor with great food. My partner and I are from South Philly where there are many great spots for brunch. But we decided to explore Northern Liberties to see what was there beside the Piazza. The hostess told me that they've been open for about a year. The establishment was previously a corner tavern. The owners did a great job of rehabbing the building leaving details from yore giving the place a homey, familiar feel. Both platters for brunch were great: Eggs Benedict for me and a frittata for Jose. Be sure to ask for the Bloody Mary if you're in the mood for something alcoholic. We Plan to return for dinner in the near future. I expect Jerry's Bar to be a part of Northern Lib for a long time to come.

I went to Jerry's Bar on 6-27-15 with a group of eight. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated promptly. The appetizers were a good variety of cheeses and veggies. My burger was cooked to order and very tasty as were the fries. The beer I choose from the menu was also good. We had a variety of desserts after dinner and all reported that they liked them. I would have rated this restaurant higher but the fact that there was no soap in the men's restroom was a large turn off for me. With a sign stating "employees must wash hand before returning to work" hanging next to the empty dispenser didn't sit well with me.

There's not much we don't like about Jerry's Bar. It's only 3 blocks from our house and it's usually packed. The interior design is trendy, modern and familiar and the menu changes regularly although it stands by some good old stand bys. Recently we had the pan seared trout almondine which was cooked to perfection and a good old hamburger. No complaints here--the atmosphere is hip, the crowd is energized, the service is ok (depending on your server, sometimes you'll get some hipster attitude or someone who doesn't know what's on the menu), and the food is consistent. The prices are palatable too.

We actually enjoyed our first year wedding anniversary here together and the husband and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the outdoor enclosed patio

This one is really nice Stephanie gave us amazing service. The sticky bun is so good. The creamy topping is just right, not too sweet. The breakfast burrito was so good, Flavor in every bite. Great food and service. It was pretty impressive our server remembered us from last year and what we ordered. The scrapple was crispy and delicious. This is our go to every time in Philadelphia.

I took a group of 36 people to Philadelphia recently and chose Jerry's Bar because of its proximity to the religious shrine that was the object of our trip. Manager Mary Ann Lerro not only greeted us like we were family, but she had also prepared a buffet that had food for every taste -- all of it excellently prepared and in quantities to satisfy the biggest appetites. Service was fantastic, too: while several waitstaff took care of our group, Isaac (who waited on my table) and bartender Brian stand out -- though from the remarks of our folks on the three-hour motor coach trip home, everyone thought that their waiter/waitress was the best. For the record, we had braised ribs, chicken, vegetables, salad, mashed potatoes and cornbread -- I tasted everything and everything was great! Dessert was blueberry cobbler -- again, nothing short of fantastic. (Mary Ann was also awesome in arranging for space to be held for us in front of the restaurant so that we could park our motor coach!) Honestly, I can't think of a single thing that could have been better. And I look forward to getting back there again before too long!

Delicious eggs benny with smoked salmon, potato latke, which was not soggy. Missed the capers described in the menu. Added hash brown potatoes were very crispy. Loudspeaker music is too loud. The live jazz duo was perfect for brunch.

This is our go to dinner place in Northern Liberties. It's a restaurant that also has a bar, but at the bar everyone is eating dinner. For brunch Jerry's Bloody Mary is the best I ever had. For dinner they have a Steak Frite with Hanger steak for $19, which gets my vote for best steak dish in the city. To get a similar steak you could drop a few hundred at Cafe Les zhalles in NewcYork. I particularly like the cauliflower, the Brussels sprouts and the soups.

We were in Philly for the day and our first choice had no tables so we decided on Jerry's instead. We were not disappointed. It looked pretty full but from the moment we stepped in we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Waiting staff were knowledgable and helpful and deserve more than 5 marking on here, they were just perfect. Two of us had pulled pork and one had Jerry's burger and sides of potato salad and green beans which were all good. Green beans had a tasty kick to them. But special mention for the cocktails. I had Apples 2 Oranges and The Bramble which were both delicious and had we had more time I would have tried some others. If you're looking for cheap eats this isn't for you. But if you're looking for good food, great cocktails (can't tell you about the beer as we didn't have it), fabulous service and a brilliant atmosphere then this is it.

Went here for brunch with the family. Place looks like a bar, just as the name implies. They do have an adorable outdoor covered section and that is where we sat. I don’t remember being blown away by the food. It was good. Standard brunch selection with a few extras. My brother in law got the braised short rib with eggs but it was very greasy and had a lot of fat pieces. He was not a fan. My croque madame sandwich was good, but again, did not blow me away. Our waitress was extremely nice and very accommodating. We made some requests for kids plates and she was very eager to help as well as had some suggestions.
EXCELLENT
Food is absolutely delicious and nicely presented. Cozy little place in Northern Liberties for a cozy date night or for a nice family brunch. Service was very friendly and accommodating.
