What a great restaurant on Shelter Island! Chelsi, our server, was delightful & made some great recommendations. I had the braised short ribs with a pouched egg & a homemade biscuit. Big screen TVs with football games on at the bar. Plus, it’s a dog friendly restaurant in the patio seating area. Highly recommend this restaurant! Steve Concialdi

Great service and atmosphere. We came in on a Sunday night and much of the crowd was there watching football so there was a nice buzz. We couldn’t have asked for better service and the food was really good. My only complaint is I would like a better selection of beers but I could say that of many places as I like to try different local brews when traveling.

We were here for family dinner night before my niece's wedding. There were 22 of us at 2 tables in a private area. Everyone had customized menus that offered many entree options. Food was very good....salads, sandwiches, appetizers, desserts. Our server (think her name was Isabel) was wonderful. Serving a group this size is not easy but she excelled. She was personable and funny and very attentive. Everything about the evening was perfect!!!

Nice reception when I arrived. Everyone laughed at my shirt. Seated quickly at an outside table. I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger. It was a little overcooked, but had a great flavor. The homemade potato chips were good, but needed salt during the cooking because they were bland. I would go back for another burger due to the smiles of the staff.

My husband had a TDY at Point Loma Naval Base and we walked over to Jimmy’s famous American Tavern at the Harbor. Their happy hour menu has a nice selection of different foods. I particularly loved the brussels sprouts. I just about ate the whole dish myself, it was very good! The best I’ve had in a long time. My husband enjoyed the baby back ribs which came on a bed of fries. My son had the sliders which came with both fries and a salad. As a family we shared the Caesar salad. All happy hour menu items. The happy hour menu items were large enough that we could all share and call it a meal. The patio provided a nice view of the harbor. Next time we come down to San Diego we will be sure to return.

This is a cool place right in the marina. We loved the pimento cheese and jalapeño guac appetizer! Our server, David, was courteous and cheerful - even though we stayed and stayed because another person joined our party late. The tater tots with chipotle ketchup were a guilty pleasure!

Amazing food 😋 I love this restaurant Amazing cocktails 🍸 The best burger 🍔 I have in San Diego

We really enjoyed our lunch at Jimmy's. We has a table outside with a nice view of the marina. Sevice was friendly and efficient. Burgers were delicious. Hangover burger came on a biscuit with a fried egg on top, YUM! French dip very good, lots of beef and crispy onions (au jus and creamy horseradish sauce) Parking in adjacent lot is easy. Pay on app, $4 for two hours. Wr.

Nice view, good food, great service. Had a table with a great view of the Bay. Beautiful evening. Would definitely go again,.

Saw the good ratings online and wasn't disappointed. Had onion rings for appetizer. Probably the best I have had. Huge portion and made from scratch. Wife and I each had cheese burgers and fries. Large portions of all items. Everything was tasty. And the view of the Pacific is stellar.

This place has a very nice location, right on the harbor. The food was decent, The service was adequate, but nothing special especially given the place was pretty empty when we were there. The server never came back and checked on us. Overall, I thought they charged enough.

After many years of staying in this area while visiting San Diego, ate here and now I wish I had tried it years ago. The Salmon bowl was awesome. Salmon cooked perfectly. My dining companion had the cheese burger and love it. Will go back next time in town. And, the bartender, who was also our waiter (at a high top) made a good Old Fashioned.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Jimmy's. I thought it would be more expensive because of the location. My 17byear old daughter got the kids sliders meal and it was super good value which included a coke and enormous ice cream sundae on a chocolate chip cookie.

I’m glad to stop by for a quick lunch as soon as I landed to SD airport. Great food and definitely will come back again!

Went twice during a business trip since it is close to our meetings. The service was good. Here are my food ratings. Jimmy Burger: 8.8/10 (liked the pinento cheese) Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich: 9.1/10 (very hearty chicken and not too spicy)

I come here often, with my family. Usually you have to wait for a little while before getting a table, but you won’t miss it! Try Jimmy’s burger! Delicious. Cool manager, food comes quickly and everything is good. I love the clam chowder and the jalapeño filled eggs. Price is pretty fair.

Nice place, not too noisy, great family service. Good food reasonable priced wine. I would go there again.

From the Name, you would expect roadhouse type food and we were pleasantly surprised. So good we went back a few times. The fried chicken and the Tavern bowls with Ahi tuna are fantastic. The fish and chips are not that great so stay clear. Nice atmosphere but take a jacket depending on the time of the year you might need it as a lot of it is open to the outside.

This place is right across the street from the hotel I was staying at so I walked across the street and tried it for dinner. The food was very good along with the service. Very noisy but I guess that is to be expected at a place like this.

I LOVED this place: 1) The food was incredible. I had the Santa Fe Caesar with grilled chicken. It was incredibly tasty. I also ordered the Jimmy’s burger which is made with wagyu beef and was fantastic, as was the jalapeño cheddar scalloped potatoes. 2) The staff was attentive, well versed in the menu, friendly and professional. 3) The restaurant sits on a harbor and has large open walls allowing the fresh air and area engulf the restaurant, making it feel inviting and comfortable. They also have outside seating which is both covered and very comfortable.

The food was very good, service was excellent and you are right by the water...what could be better?

Good American restaurant. The food was good, the service was okay. I liked that there were mocktails available.

I only have good things to say about our experience here. The food was delicious—we tried the fried chicken, ribs, and a burger. The fried chicken was a thin boneless chicken breast and the gravy and potatoes that came with it were just as good. We loved the indoor/outdoor seating and the view of the water. The service was great too. Highly recommend!

What a great place! Food was wonderful and the view was marvelous. Everyone loved their order. Portions were generous. Staff was prompt and courteous.

My wife and I ate here because it is right across the street from the Holiday Inn, where we were attending a ship's reunion. The ambiance, smells, and service here is really great. My wife and I both tried the fish and chips and were glad we did. They were very flakey and cooked great (not too much breading). This is a great little restaurant/bar but they can get full and you can wait a while to get in. We were lucky enough to show up around 7pm and got right in.

The six of us went out in May 2025. I've been wondering about this for a while at an American restaurant near the hotel where I stay every year. There was no reservation, it was a Saturday night, but I got in right away. The restaurant was large and the staff were kind. The menu was wide and all of them were delicious. It's an American size, so I recommend going with many friends and sharing it.

Excellent burgers, excellent menu! Pretty good drinks, too. Pretty view of the boats parked in the bay- makes for nice conversation if you sit outdoors.

We were greeted and sat right away with a wonderful view of the marina. Simone was our server and she was excellent! Fried calamari was the appetizer and it was pretty standard. I had the special which was salmon with mashed reds, broccoli, and carrots. The meal was one that continued to satiate the palate even after the plates were cleared. Simone did a great job keeping our drinks filled. I would absolutely recommend Jimmy’s!

Normally, I stay close by the restaurant when I'm in town for business, but this time I stayed 3-1/2 miles away. So, I set out for a walk. I wanted to make sure I had my favorite brussels sprouts while in town. Unfortunately, I arrived at the restaurant around 2:15pm on Sunday while you were still serving off the brunch menu, and the sprouts were not listed. SIGH! I would have to wait for the 3:00pm menu. When I expressed my disappointment to Vanessa & Chelsi, the lovely servers behind the bar, that I had walked 3-1/2 miles for my favorite menu item, they made sure the chef knew. To my surprise the chef made an exception for me and whipped up a batch. OMG'sh I was in heaven. I travel all over the world and they are by far my favorite. Jimmy's staff went above and beyond for me and I could not be more grateful. It was customer service at it's best. The kindness of the staff is beyond amazing. Thank you guys! I even saved room for one of your delicious burgers too. Southwest Airlines employees LUV your food & staff. I'm a customer for life. See you next time. Much LUV <3 xo

We selected this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and had good reviews. What a disappointment! The food was mediocre at best. I had fish and chips. It was 2 greasy fish sticks and a pile of fries. My friend had tacos and they were barely recognizable. It took us a good 15 minutes to get a server when we wanted an additional order. I literally stood up and flailed my arms to get someone’s attention. I don’t know how this place stays in business.

Good food served fast at this waterfront dining restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered and dog-friendly. The hostess and the server were friendly and checked on our comfort and needs multiple times. I had the large salad with added grilled (5) shrimp. The salad had fresh greens, avocado, grilled corn kernels, tomatoes . I was not able to finish it! My friend had the same salad but had the grilled salmon added. I am told the hamburgers & fries are good here too.

We were late getting in and so did not want full dinner. We had grilled Caesar salad and the shrimp and grits. Both were excellent. Definitely can recommend. Servers were friendly and attentive.

We come to Jimmy’s frequently for lunch. Yesterday we tried the Happy Hour from 3-6pm. Sat in the covered patio with a great view of the marina and 1,000’s of boats. Vast menu. Had the whiskey shrimp, grilled romaine, excellent clam chowder, and the best roasted Brussels sprouts ever. Big portions, excellent taste combos....was perfect. We will be back...soon.u

Amazing atmosphere for family’s, with a great menu to fit everyone! Our server Maria was an amazing host, she was super friendly and very helpful.

Large portions, great atmosphere, and friendly people. Service was above par. It's location was great as long as you enjoy the beezes off the ocean and it is not cold out.

The restaurant is in front of our hotel and we didnt feel like going downtown to eat after a long day sightseeing. I had the fish and chips and I have to say they were some of the best I’ve had. The restaurant itself is beautiful, by the marina and the view is great. I will definitely come back.

Food here is average, staff are great and the view is good as well. I would say that as a social gathering spot to party this might be the place. Parking is metered and meter folks out often.

We had a very good lunch at Jimmy’s. Service was good and the outdoor seating at the marina was wonderful. We all had the “special” which was a half sandwich, soup (chowder), and a salad. The price was reasonable considering the quality of the food and the location. Would definitely return.

Stopped in for late breakfast on a Saturday - better bar scene probably later in the day. Breakfast burrito was big enough for two but bacon undercooked and food just average. Service very good.

Amazing quick safe sit down service during COVID. Had the classic burger with house chips. Perfectly cooked, great condiments, and perfectly seasoned warmed chips.

Great area. Food was okay. Arrived cold. Pricey. Wait staff friendly. Lively. Inside outside seating.

Nice patio area to enjoy brunch or happy hour. Great view of the boats. The food is consistently high quality, decent service. Amazing brunch as well as burgers, salads and drinks.

Myself and some business friends stopped in here for lunch. The place got much busier after we arrived. I ordered the California Burger with fries coated in parmesean (sp?) cheese and truffles. Others in my group had the Calamari and shrimp dishes. We all had different beers. Food was very good and the staff was attentive. My personal bill came to $35, including a 20% tip. I thought this was a bit pricey for a burger and fries lunch - even if it did have fancy names attached to it.

Nice spot for dinner. Sat outside on the portion and enjoyed a wonderful San Diego night. I just had a burger buit it was perfect and I love cruncy fries!

Great find! We loved this place - excellent cocktails and beer! Good food. Appetizers (deviled eggs) - dessert - carrot cake to die for! Casual laid back vibe! GO HERE!!

We were on a drive while in San Diego and spotted this place. It's right on the marina and has a great view of the boats. At first we thought we'd found a great place. Our server was very friendly and made a few good suggestions. Then we ordered and she disappeared for about 30 minutes. We were served our drinks and shared steak sandwich (which was amazing!) by another server and then our plates were cleared by yet another person. We would have loved another margarita and beer but no one came to check on us. We tried to get the attention of our server and other people to no avail. Finally after chit chatting with another table for over 5 minutes our server finally came back and we got our check. What could have been a 5 star visit turned into 3 because of bad service.

Jimmy's Famous American Tavern is San Diego's best kept secret. I have lived here all my life and am blessed to be able to eat at some great restaurants in this fine city. Jimmy's Restaurant is wonderful!!!! It was a warm San Diego evening with a beautiful sunset, and the view of the marina was magnificent. Ashlynne, my waitress was excellent. Her smile is infectious. I do not mind giving a "good tip" when the server is obviously concerned about my well-being with my meal. Ashlynne repeated came to my table to see if I was satisfied with the meal or needed anything else. The meal itself...was outstanding! I had the BBQ Salmon, with bacon bits, cream corn, and broccolini. I topped off my mean with half-of-a large slice of carrot cake...YUMMY!!" There was enough dessert for me to take some home. I will most certainly be returning to this restaurant and sharing the location of this fine establishment with my family and friends too.

I would have posted three stars based on our food that was just ok, nothing special. The extra is because our server, Gladys was so outstanding and helpful. Great service with average food would be my summary. Nothing particularly wrong, the cod was a bit tasteless and batter was soggily undercooked, but the chips and coleslaw were nice! Lovely carrot cake too, but for the prices I expected better fish quality and quantity.

I ended up going to Jimmy's Famous American Tavern twice, the day I flew in to San Diego for my latest road trip, and on the last night before flying out. Both visits were great. I went there because the Tavern was across the street from my hotel. It took me a while to find the entrance, but after walking around for a bit I found it. It is on the marina on the east side. I found the service very good. Ashlynn was my server on my first visit, and the bar staff looked after me on the second. There is a great view of the marina, but both times it was too cool to sit outside. On my first visit I ordered a half rack of BBQ St Louis Style Ribs. They came with coleslaw, beans, and corn bread. The ribs were very good. There was no smoke, but the sauce was very tasty. The beans and coleslaw were great. The cornbread was sweet and moist. A very good meal. I loved the atmosphere. On my second visit I sat at the bar. I ordered the Sirloin and Black Bean Chili. I don't usually order chili at a restaurant, but I am glad I did. The chili comes with cheddar cheese and scallions. It was fantastic. The corn bread was a nice complement. It was a great beginning and end to a great road trip.

The staff was excellent. The food was okay. The prices are high. They shouldn’t call their clam chowder ‘New England’. It’s not. Certainly not on my go back to list.

Everything on the menu is great. Plenty to choose from when selecting a beer/cocktail. Watch your favorite sport on one of many television's.

I came here with a friend after a run on the coast and we both ordered burgers, except mine had beef and hers had plant products comprising the patty. We both really enjoyed the meal and I am a stickler for good burgers as I grew up on a farm in the midwest. This may not have been the best burger I've ever had, but it was still good. Her plant-based burger was also really good. The waitress was really nice and appropriately attentive, plus the view of the harbor was magnificent. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

I dined in this restaurant as it was strongly recommended for its burgers by the front desk attendant at our hotel and it was just a short walk away. We requested a seat outside and was seated right away. The view from where we sat was very scenic. The wait staff was pleasant. We both ordered the burger. We had a long wait to be served. To both of us the burger was expensive and just okay.

Love this place Good selection of beers Great burgers My wife and I share If it is not raining like today the the outdoor seating is wonderful Get the devil eggs

This is a wonderful place to have dinner and look out over the marina. The food is very good. The jumbalaya is superb and the drinks are great. It is a casual restaurant with great service.

Nice surprise to find such a good place near our hotel. Our food and service was very good. It was busy and pretty loud (Friday night), but we enjoyed the meal.

Food was good, beer was good, location was awesome. Waitress tacked an an extra $5 onto her tip. I guess she thought she did better than I did. After researching on other sites, it actually turns out this is a common occurrence at Jimmy's Famous American Tavern. It's not the amount, but the deception that bothers me. The manager blamed me for the problem, and refunded me my money. Can't see myself going back. Best of luck if you decide to go.

If you like the ocean and like sail boats AND good food you'll really like this place. This place sits on the dock of the bay (sounds like a good song, doesn't it?) and you can see hundreds of sail boats swaying in the wind. The food is fresh, hot and tastes great whether you like steak, sandwiches, seafood (a great New England Clam Chowder) or chicken. Something for everyone! You can eat inside or outside where you can enjoy the beauty of San Diego Bay and all the sail boats. Try it, you'll like it!

Our last of 4 nights in Shelter island, went to eat here. Great waitress (Christa?) who really helped us not over order…we had onion rings, the prime rib sandwich and cherry cobbler…all amazing, great quality food and excellent service…wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

But every time we try something else we are disappointed. The fish taco plate had 3 tacos each with a minuscule piece of cod. The green salsa was super spicy. The rice and beans were OK. At $19 the price was way too high. Our favorite restaurant has excellent fish tacos at $13.50. The service was good, and so was our server.

Jimmys is a must visit. We stayed at holiday inn, and jimmys is 2 second walk away. Great beers, excellent burgers and extremely friendly efficient waiter. Loved it, thanks mate!

Lunch was amazing. Service was excellent. And atmosphere was perfect. I will return with more friends next time I’m in San Diego.

Took a long weekend to San Diego and scoured TripAdvisor as well as talked to some friends familiar with the area for great restaurants in the are. We went into Jimmy's a bit on a whim, and I'm so glad we did. Positioned in a great location overlooking the marina, which was filled with boats the evening we were there. We ordered a wide variety of appetizers and drinks, and every single thing was fantastic. Service was a little slower than I was expecting, but it really didn't matter because the food was so good. Everything was worth the wait.

I was actually quite impressed with the innovative menu and excellent preparation of the various appetizers we enjoyed. One specialty I enjoyed was the small order of ribs - outstanding, over a bed of fries and the very generous portion of Charred Brussel Sprouts glazed with spices and honey and almonds. If we had an extra day we probably would have come back for a full dinner. The vibe here is relaxed and right on the marina with plenty of parking. and afternoon at Happy Hour is just extremely pleasant. We will definitely be back next time for dinner.

Great food and service. Beer selection not great. If you like dogs, lots of them, great. 90% were great, the 2 next to us NEVER stopped barking. If we had not already ordered we would have left. Two couples did. One lady spoke to the owners of the dogs, they did not care. My husband also spoke to them...they said they and the dogs had the right to be there. True, I guess, but we will not go back. The staff apparently also was annoyed, but did nothing to address the matter. We won't go back.

Great view. Always great service. And excellent food. Burgers are large and good. Chips are homemade. And the ketchup is a must to take home Nice view of the marina. Close to airport and plenty of parking

Great place, but parking is a bit confusing. The service and food are great, I would highly recommend the French dip. Love that they are not afraid to serve food in the place, and the dishes are big. Overall, I will be back.

Very very impressed!!! We came 30 minutes to close (which we wouldn’t normally ever do) and they were so kind to us and sat us. Impeccable service! Everyone was friendly and very attentive and helpful with our questions. The food was amazing! And I've tried a couple of different items. I ordered hot Nashville chicken sandwich and FIRE 🔥. We also got Calamari and my friend the famous French dip. I love food and the portions are PLENTIFUL! Oh and they had delicious Mocktails- do die for!!! And the ambiance is amazing is great! We were just completely impressed. Jimmy's, thank you for a great experience! Definitely highly recommend!!!

Prime rib French dip was the bomb. Great location too! Staff was friendly and contact less menu scan and great beers. They had a nice outdoor set up for dining as well

We walked along the marina and stopped at Jimmy’s. Lunch was delicious. I had the $14 lunch special and I couldn’t eat all of it. My partner had a 1/2 lb burger and claimed it was delightful. Worth a second visit next time we come to San Diego

The setting is truly amazing right on the bay. The calamari appetizers I had were the best anywhere. The clam chowder was also delicious and our service was excellent.

I went on a business trip to this establishment. I had the following with ratings: Buffalo Meatballs: 8. A little spicy but I am not a spicy fan, good taste though Dueling Dips: Consisting of guac and pamento cheese. The chips were fine, standard chips, I didn't try the guac but the pamento cheese was fantastic. Deviled Eggs: Standard run of the mill, below average.

Our son recommended this place for his Birthday dinner. Everything was amazing. The freshness and quality was outstanding. We had starters of onion rings, homemade chips and spicy meatballs. We continued with fish and chips and many different burgers. So much food. The server was amazing. The manager made sure our dinner was great. Being right on the harbor made a great ambience for a great evening meal.

We recently ate at this restaurant after getting a recommend from the Best Western hotel across the street. Good recommend. The server was very friendly an we sat outside for the marina view. I had the beef dip which was very good with lots of meat and good fries. Would highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed harbor views, great service, and good food. A little pricey for the portion sizes. Waitress gave us a free cookie for dessert!

Food was OK, no complaints there except so very slow. But really, just a handful of beers - for a tavern? So many great places nearby, won't be back to this place.

The place is very nice, we ate well in the average type of place. Our waiter was kind, but at the same time he asked us if he could already bring us the bill while they were still finishing our beer... prices a little high for how much we ate especially due to the rush they put in us. 3 cocktails 3 seconds and 2 beers $150.

Our family visited during our vacation to San Diego. We stay across the street and decided to give it a try. After getting seated we waited a while for a waitress, then even longer for drinks, and longer for food. :( The food was hit and miss. Some people LOVED their dishes but others did not. My fish and chips were soggy. One of the burgers was very undercooked. The pulled pork was a hit. Getting the bill...yeah...took a bit...

What a great find. Close to the airport for drinks and lunch with a lovely view of boats in the marina. Fantastic shrimp cocktail and cooked to perfection homemade potato chips.

Had dinner for the first time at Jimmy’s Favorite American Tavern Had a very good and “darling”/ nice waitress Ryanne. (Sp?) I ordered a “poke “ bowl not knowing it was fish (I am a newbie to San Diego - and not a fish fan AT ALL! Didnt eat much and Ryanne and the manager (Nick) Noticed - offered to get me something / ANYTHING different -it was my error and they STILL credited my meal! Amazing! Great service and people !! WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!

Last time we ate here was in 2010 and were very pleased with it. We went to lunch here on Sunday and Monday of a recent trip. On Sunday, I had a seared ahi tuna salad and on Monday a burger. Both were excellent. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, but Jimmy's, in my opinion, has several advantages for casual dining. There is adjacent parking, there is usually no waiting for a table, you can eat inside or out, the service is excellent, the meal and drink menu are quite complete, and the view of the harbor is nice. Prices are what you would expect. I would classify them as reasonable.

To beat the hustle bustle of San Diego, high prices, traffic, try Jimmy's American Tavern. Located right on the harbor, the setting is great, the food extremely good, the service wonderful. Now here's the bonus: plenty of free parking. Definitely a must, would we go back, in a San Diego minute.

If you're staying in the North Harbor area, Jimmy's makes a great choice. The service is prompt and polite, there is a good range of micro-brewed beers available, which taste good - and the food is also good. I stayed in the close-by Holiday Inn, and visited here 3 times in a week - twice for food and once for drinks - which is acclaim enough, given the number of restaurants available!

Honestly, had no expectations as we were just hungry after a long day of site seeing. This place was a welcome surprise. Small menu, but that is because the food is fresh, the service is top notch and the location is amazing. Just good ol' American food, done right!

OMG! I should have guessed that something was up when we drove up to an empty parking lot on a Friday night. What happened to this place? The burgers use to be so good. I’m sad. I won’t be coming back when visiting San Diego.

great food...from steaks to sandwiches/salads and great appetizers....looks,like a great weekday happy hour too... everyone in our group had something different and all was delicious....i had a cup of sirloin/black bean chili which was great and a southwestern salad that was very unusual and tasty, another had fish and chips, a cowboy burger that was huge and a sliced prime rib sandwich...all food hearty, tasty and great beers on tap. Service was friendly and swift!!!

A friend and I went in there one day after being recommended the place by an Uber driver. I still checked Yelp for reviews though. The food here was great. The prices, not so much for the portions you get. Service was good. He took our order, dropped off our food, and came back again to give us refills... which is good because I really don't like constantly being interrupted with "how is everything going?" or "how is the food?" Sometimes, I just want to eat and not have to swallow my food whole just to reply. If I'm going to complain about the food, I wouldn't wait till someone shows up. We also came out with two of their Chipotle Ketchup bottles. While we were eating, some customers brought in their dogs. They sat pretty far from us, so it didn't bother us even with their barking. As they barked, I noticed other customers looking at them and they looked annoyed that a dog was present (even outside) at a place that served food. Some people handle it differently I guess. Each seat get's their own check which we were totally cool with since it was just the two of us and we wanted to pay our own bill anyways. I could definitely see that being a slight annoyance for large groups or couples. They should probably ask ahead of time if the order is split or together. All in all, great food. I would recommend eating here, I just don't know if I could recommend eating here multiple times.

The food was great, but the time it took to get it and the service was anything but good. We had to flag down a waitress to get us drinks. We then after 45 minutes of waiting for our food had to inquire about "where is our food?" Then we asked for the check and the computers were down. We paid cash and just left. Our let's get a quick bite turned into a 2 hour excursion and we missed out on our other plans for the evening. The view overlooking the harbor and boats is gorgeous and if your not in a rush it might be worth the wait. We all thought our food was great.

I’ve been to JFat’s many times, so this review is overdue. This is a great spot for brunch & lunch as it is situated at a marina, so you get beautiful views of the water and moored boats. There’s a large covered patio so you can enjoy the sunshine or shade and still enjoy the breeze while dining. This last visit we sat inside, on one of the high tops, by the entrance. We still had the wonderful views of the water and yachts, but it was a bit chilly out to be in the patio. Service from the hosts, servers and busers have always consistently been very good - and this time was just as expected. My favorite item at JFat is their Albacore Yuzu Salad. The amount of seared albacore is quite generous and the fish is very fresh! This dish is a perfect balance of flavors, textures and is refreshing meal for a brunch or lunch. My other half usually always gets the Cowboy Burger, which is just delicious with their BBQ sauce. And we usually opt for the truffle fries with the burger. We usually also share an order of the perfectly fried Beer Battered Onion Rings. Hands down one of the best onion rings in San Diego! If you’re a burgers and beer kinda person, they have a “Burger & Beer Monday” where you can get any burger + any draft for less than the price of a burger itself! If you haven’t had a chance to visit JFat, make sure to do so ASAP ‘cos you’re missing out!

I had a good experiance, food was good, mixed drinks were good.Beer on tap was ok. I had the blue cheese burger and it was cooked correctly and tasted great. i would recommend this place

Late lunch/early supper on a Friday, got seated right away. Atmosphere was great, service was even better. Glasses were never empty. Food was good but not great. Would go back again but wouldn’t make a point of it.

Had brunch on Easter with friends. It was order off menu with a few brunch items. Ok, but no home run, average at best. Waiter was good. Location was nice, don't rush but overall nice enough.

The burgers were very juicy and had lots of flavor. I got the cowboy burger that had a big fat onion ring on it with BBQ sauce and bacon. The parmesan garlic fries were very garlicy and had lots of shaved parm on them. My daughter had the Jimmy burger which she said had tons of flavor and she liked her truffle fries. The burger were very big and we could not finish all our food. It was a dog friendly place as someone sat outside with their dog and ate dinner. If we had stayed in San Diego longer we would have definitely gone back to eat there. We will definitely keep it on our list for next time.

Place is right on Pier. Open air. Price is high, small portions. French dip sandwich and home made chip.

We checked into the Holiday Inn Bayside and were able to walk literally across the 4 lane road to Jimmy's for lunch. It is a beautiful building with a lot of wood. We met two friends and were in for a pleasant surprise. We shared spicy deviled eggs and they were very good. Three of us had the clam chowder which was the best I have eaten. It had plenty of clams. My husband had a salad with tuna melt. He was happy with his choice too. We split a hot fudge cookie and it was huge. A must for chocolate lovers. Laurie, was our server and she did a good job too. Will suggest clients come here when they are staying at the Holiday Inn Bayside. They will not be disappointed.

Visited on a Monday and got the burger and beer deal for $14 dollars, great value in a nice location next to the marina.

We had a great meal here. Good location. Our server Gladys was excellent. Food was of excellent standard plenty of choice for all taste. Very large portions. The children enjoyed seeing different breeds of dogs whilst dining, quite a novelty for them. Excellent children's menu.

I’m a fan of a good bacon blue cheese burger. Jimmy’s has an amazing one. I recommend getting it medium. And a quick note on the ketchup that comes with the fries. You will get two options; one is standard ketchup, but the second is a chipotle ketchup, made on site. It’s well worth the trip.

Nice location on harbor across street from hotel.Good food selections, meals were very tasty. I'd go there again.

This place is amazing!!! The burgers are some of the best I’ve ever ate and they have a great selection of beers at the bar. It was close to the hotel so I stopped by to catch the games and drink some beers. The bartenders, Gary and Izzy, were phenomenal!!! The GM stopped by to check on me and he was fantastic, had a great conversation with him. If you’re nearby stop in and see them. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! Also, this is the best view of the harbor!!!!

Had a great meal as always when we came to visit after a long hiatus. The Clam Chowder was on par with New England’s best. The Calimari was some of the best I have ever had to include those in Italy, Portugal and Spain.

We went to Jimmy's on a Friday evening when we were on a weekend getaway and we were very disappointed. The food is just way overpriced for what you get. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it was so greasy that I couldn't hold on to it to eat it. I ate less than half of it. My husband had the fish & chips and ended up sick from the food. The waiter took off my burger since I was unable to eat it and our bill for 2 people and only two drinks was over $120. Just not worth the money it costs.

Had dinner here with friends. The ambiance is very nice! It was a Thursday, so not too crowded! I have the fryed chicken on mashed potatoes. The others all had a different meal and liked the teast! Mine on the otherhand, was not as good! It lacked teast! Very bland and that is why I rated it average!

Thanksgiving lunch on our 1st stop. Food portions large and all around $16. Wait staff not very attentive, seemed like they were inconvienced we were there. Not sure who our waiter or waitress was as 3-4 different people would come and go. Went next day for afternoon drink and was pretty much the same. Not sure I would go back if the location and views were not what they are. My daughter said, "dad, they had good food though." Rating them average as your only as good as your waite staff.

Location, location, location. If you can get a table outside where you can see the boats coming in or the people walking on the wharf then the food becomes secondary. Prices are high, typical of San Diego. Food is good for American dining like burgers and fried stuff.

So, I was planning on stopping at another watering hole but they were too busy and no parking. Figured I would give Jimmy's a shot. Any water front spot with ample and free parking is a head scratcher. Anyway, stopped by. The place was nearly empty during the busiest time of the day. I chose to sit at the bar with only one other person. I had to wait several minutes and then finally holler at the bar tender before I could get some service. So on to the food. Pretty good. I had the buttermilk fried chicken. Chicken was tender but not a lot of flavor, other than salty. Mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans were tasty. If I went again, I would probably go with table service.

Great restaurant which appears to always be busy. Good selection of food, the fish & chips were great. Our waiter was very helpful & a great guy. Overlooking the marina was a great bonus, would definitely recommend this restaurant.

After spending the day walking around the entire Seaport Village and being saddend by to closing of many of the original shops at the village we ended the day with a fabulous dinner at Jimmy's Famous American Tavern in San Diego, Everything that they serve is FABULOUS!! You can not go wrong with Jimmy's menu! Enjoy the fresh air, games on the TV's and some very fine drinks, appetizers and food, Wonderful service, great food, friends and family! Highly recommended!!

I had to go again after last year's visit and the food and customer service was every bit as amazing as I remembered. I had the French Dip ( best one I've ever had ), a Smokeshow ( a delicious mixed drink) and the cherry cobbler. As awesome as the food was the service. Kristin really knows how to treat her customers and make their experience a joy.

The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the service was great as well. It sits right on the water; beautiful scenery, and they even offer a heated patio area.

The view is great but everything else is far below average. The lunch special includes a salad, chips, soup and half sandwich for $16. The salad had almost no dressing, the cup of clam chowder was filled only half way but it was tasty. The tiny half grilled cheese sandwich included a thick little slice of avocado that was so thick that it fell out of the sandwich on to the floor at the first bite..The sandwich was below par in both flavor and size. Service was just terrible. Our drinks were served right away but we waited almost 45 minutes for our waitress to take our food order, and she was nowhere to be seen. We waited a long time after that for our food to arrive, even though we were all having the lunch combo special (i.e nothing fancy). Then it took forever to get the check. Maybe they were just off their game today but we won't be back.

Friend and I dined here on a cold May night but they had overhead space heaters as well as regular ones. Very friendly wait staff and delicious food. I had fish tacos; friend had Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and we had cocktails. Good not have been better. Recommend!

I do not give out 5 Stars very often. This place was EXCEPTIONAL. The location is right on the harbor pier with Great Views when eating. The food is Exceptional. Fries come with Chipolte Ketchup and taste great. The wine was Great and a good pour with a good price. The sandwich was made with Wagyu beef and the taste was great. The water served is filtered 5 times and the taste was great. The service was Great, fast and there before you needed anyone. Hannah was great. The prices are in line with San Diego and you do not mind paying them when everythig is EXCEPTIONAL. Go an enjoy.

Great place right on the harbor, overlooking the marina. Nice outdoor patio, good food and ambience. Dog friendly--always a plus!

Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern is very fun. I loved how it was right next to the marina so we could see gorgeous boats and adorable dogs

Beautiful view of the harbor, Bloody Mary's good food.... Staff very friendly and prompt, were in town for 3 days and went back for happy hour.

St. Patty’s day and we wanted to go untraditional, looking for just a drink and to go down to our boat. Yes, we’re local. It was somewhat busier than we expected and from what we could tell, only one bartender. I set my things down and excused myself to the ladies room. When I came back, my Hubs was still sitting there with no drink, but at least he had menus. We sat there and eventually the bartender came over. She seemed really stressed but mostly annoyed! I was wondering if possibly she thought she knew me??? I had never seen her before. We do not frequent Jimmy’s, but usually when we do go there, it’s a pretty fun time! So I just chalked it up that she probably had a long day already?!Soooooo... when she finally graced us with her presence, it was short and not sweet. Pretty much, “whadaya want?”. Wow, really? Then she caught herself and retracted a little bit and said, “sorry, I just have a ton of drinks to make down there and she pointed in the air. Again, I was going to give it to her, it’s a busy Holiday. When I ordered, I had a question about the ingredients and her eyes started rolling and she was very short and cut me off from my question, by saying, “No! It’s not “or”, it’s AND! It’s all together! You can’t split it up!” Whoa!! Very abrupt! “Okay, I’ll just take it as it is, thank you”. She leaves in a huff. Again, it’s busy, right? But as I watch her approach other new customers, she was very nice, a smile on her face and had a degree of patience??? Seriously??? She asked us if we wanted food. My Hubs asked if there were any specials for St. P day. Again with the abrupt NO! Okay, now she just made it personal! I have been in the service industry, my whole life. If you’re having a bad day, the last thing you need to do is take it out on your Peep’s! They are your bread and butter. Soooooo... I’m out, don’t need to ring up a bill there. I can tell you if it wasn’t for the bad attitude, we would have been quite happy with another drink and a small meal, but thank you, NO! The food is good here, a little $$$ but good. Great location, literally feet from the docks, if you have a boat and a couple fire pits if you get chilly. We have ALWAYS had a great dining experience here. Maybe she thought she knew me????? I can rest assure, no! I don’t even know her name, if I did, it would be in BIG print right here! The only bartender on, on 03/17/2019 @ I 6:pm. Painted her face and had a “kiss me I’m lucky” shirt on. I can guarantee there’s no truth to that shirt! Can’t say we’ll be back. I don’t recommend it for the prices you pay in there. I suggest to management that some “lucky” lady have a little time off with an attitude adjustment. I usually tip well, not this time. I did tip, but not as much as I would have! Take your chances going here. Maybe she’ll like you, maybe she won’t??? I’m not mean spirited or drunk, that was my one and only drink of the day!

Have eaten here a few times with my family and quite enjoy it. Servers are really friendly. Food is really good. Recommend the Nashville Hot chicken, fried chicken, and dueling dips. Great place right on the bay

The burger and beer at this place are worthy the trip in the traffic. Had a few hours to kill in LA before a flight and we decided to go here. Good value, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Would come again.

The last time we were here was in 2017 and it wasn't up to my standards so I gave them a 2-star rating. We tried them again and it was fantastic! It is expensive but worth it. We had the Cowboy and the Spicy California Burger with Coleslaw and fries. Both were excellent and there was a lot to eat. The burgers are large enough to split between 2 people. The restaurant has been renovated since our last visit and the result is great! The drinks are what add to the bill. All in all a great experience!

Fried calimari was all other reviewers said it was: we happily devoured two orders before dinner! Ambiance of on-the-water dining on a sunny San Diego afternoon added to our enjoyment.

Service was very good. Food was good. Prices were so so. Nice setting. Interesting lights fixture in the women's restroom.

We arrived on a Saturday evening and asked for a table outside. The restaurant was moderately busy, so we were told there would be a 20-30 minute wait for a table outside. No problem! I ordered a drink at the bar. It took about 10 minutes to get servixe there. After a bit we were taken to a table inside. When I asked about the outside table the girl stated she didn't know I wanted an outdoor table. So we sat inside. I discovered I had been overcharged for my drink from the bar, so I asked our server about the price. He was quite condescending, saying "Well this is San Diego and it's gonna be expensive." He consulted with someone else, who clarified the price, and the difference was refunded. The food was just okay. My order was incorrect, but the staff seemed to be really struggling, so I didn't even bring it up.

We only had 3 days in San Diego before joining a cruise. We ate at a couple of other places but gravitated back to Jimmy’s because of the food, selection and general ambience of the place. We found the service to be very solicitous and friendly. Staff had an excellent knowledge of the menu. Service was timely and friendly. Food was excellent. The Rainbow Rain cocktail is super! Great experience for us 2 Aussies. Thanks 😀👏👏

Food was good. Restaurant wouldn’t show Women’s Final 4 game even through they were asked before we arrived if they would have game on TV’s. Waitress wasn’t very friendly. Sad in this day and age women sports aren’t supported. Sad.

We walked all around Point Loma landed near H & M and found this friendly gem. Very family friendly. Staff very friendly. We had beer and appetizers. Enjoyed our down time before heading back to the hotel.

Great burgers, salads, ribs. Reasonably priced. Patio dining is a great option. The servers and manager were especially welcoming.

I visited this restaurant on Feb 6, 2019 while in the area on business. It is situated on a wonderful walkway along the harbor and is within easy walking distance of many of the hotels. We were seated in the patio area (which happened to be enclosed and heated on the night I was there) with a great view of the harbor but also within the viewing area for the TVs showing sports events. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food here is so amazing and the atmosphere great! Right on the marina with an open air atmosphere during the warmer days and evenings. Last time I was here my sons had the burgers, and they looked so good that I had to try one while I was in town again. It did not disapoint, I tried the Jimmy Burger!

Great location for a quick lunch right in the marina. Really can't get any closer to the water. Service is friendly and efficient and the food is worth the price.

Went for a late lunch 12/3/17. The place was pretty busy but we were seated immediately. Nice atmosphere. My 88-year-old father and I both experienced great, attentive service. I liked the Jimmy's blond beer and my father had a pilsner. Dad is a fussy eater but really enjoyed his cheesburger and cole slaw. I ate the California burger with varieties of peppers. Though a bit messy, it was really, really good. The fries were good and there were a lot of them. The chipotle catsup was very very good. The best meal and service we experienced in 3 days in So. Cal. Would definitely go out of my way to return if ever back in the area.

We were looking for a dinner restaurant on our way back from Sunset Cliffs to our hotel, and we stumbled upon Jimmy's Famous American Tavern. We sat out on the patio, which was thankfully covered and heated at the time because San Diego was in the midst of unseasonably chilly weather during our visit. The menu was great. Different enough to not be boring, but familiar enough to not scare unadventurous eaters. Especially the kids menu. My boys had the fried chicken, and my daughter had the macaroni and cheese. Good early bird specials menu too if you arrive early enough. The food was excellent. Entrees, sides, desserts...all delicious.

Worth a trip to enjoy their amazing burgers and home made chips! The Jimmy burger - pimento cheese and jalapeno jelly was over the top! The Vegan burger is also excellent - can't tell it is plant based!

Had a wonderful Sunday brunch with friends. Great outdoor atmosphere as well. The fish and chips was wonderful and the staff were very attentive to our needs. Looks to be a great place for large family gatherings for brunch as there were a number of Sunday gatherings for birthdays.

Located on the waterfront, right across the street from my hotel. My brother and I went there for dinner- I had the tuna melt, he had the French dip. The tuna melt was flavorful and well made, really good. I had some of my brother' French dip and it was amazing ! Best French dip EVER . Our server, Margot, was friendly, sweet, knew the menu well and very attentive. Five star food and service.

Excellent food, great service, good champagne, yummy tater tots and the most amazing brunch selection. I highly recommend the bottomless Mimosas on Sunday.

Dropped in here upon returning from a cage diving trip. Seated really quickly by really friendly front of house staff and servers. Authentic American bar style restaurant with a few outside tables overlooking the marina. Many more inside and around the bar. Opted for the cowboy burger cooked medium and in all honesty, to perfection. A little pricey for a burger and chips but given its location, it’s somewhat justified. Food was so tasty I went back again before leaving San Diego.

We went here for lunch so not very crowded. My husband had the cheeseburger and it was cooked exactly as he asked. I had the Fat Club and it was very good. They also serve parmesan garlic fries that were very good. The best part of the meal was our appetizer, it was jalapeño deviled eggs. They were delicious. You have to try them.

Great little restaurant and bar. 2nd time here just love the atmosphere! Good food good service Good price! My new spot to eat on the way to San Diego airport.

Upon my last review of Jimmy’s, I wasn’t sure about coming back, but...to my surprise, I received an email asking us to come back to show us that they can get it right! The manager, Serene, greeted us and gave us a very nice table. We had an unexpected guest with us, Serene graciously told us it was no problem (as the original invitation to come back was for just my Hubs and myself). Immediately our Server, Kent came over and gave us the Specials and took our drink orders. He cracked a few good jokes and the evening soared to a variety of unexpected pleasures. We had the Truffle Fries that were amazing, then on to our main entree’s. There was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken (Delish!!) The Fish and Chips were flakey and fresh and the wine was crisp and the beer was nice and cold. Kent kept coming around with these hilarious random jokes and his stellar service with a smile was absolutely the cherry on the cake of the night! Thank you to Serene, Kent and the rest of the Staff that completely changed our minds about coming back. Most of our friends that come to visit us in San Diego are with the Airlines, on their layovers. We will definitely be back and bring our friends too! Great ambiance, great food and Rock Star service!

Title kind of says it all. 4 of us ate dinner and all the meals were excellant! If I return to San Diego I would LOVE to eat here again.

We have a new puppy and don't like to leave him home alone, so I was looking for terraces and patios that accept dogs. The hostess and waitresses at Jimmy's could not have been more welcoming. It's true that he does have a cute face! Anyway, we got a spot on the patio, in the shade, with a bowl of water and treats for Gaston! Joe had the cheeseburger and I had the veggie benny and both were excellent. They also have a nice selection of beers and cocktails.

We found this place by chance and we will be back on our next visit to San Diego! The food was great and the service was excellent! We stayed across the street so it was a wonderful surprise to find such a great restaurant. We couldn’t find the entrance at first but we kept looking and are sure glad we did! We definitely will be back!

Stopped here for lunch. I don't think they had any items under $14. The Cowboy burgers were really good, but they were pricey at $18. They did come with fries. 4 stars because the burgers were good.

My friend did not eat here, but the food looked fabulous! A wide and varied menu, and a massive choice of drinks. Excellent service too. This must be a great place, it was full of San Diego people enjoying an evening out. Locals are never wrong!

We always enjoy having lunch at Jimmy's Famous - especially now when we can eat outside with a view of the yachts at the marina. We have enjoyed many different food choices at Jimmy's Famous but our new favorite is the Beyond Beef Burger. It is amazing! We like to add the garlic fries! YUM! We really enjoy the new outside seating overlooking the marina. I hope they continue to have this outside seating even when the inside dining is offered again. Today, our waiter was Austin and he was terrific! He just moved to San Diego from Boston and this was his first week at Jimmy's Famous. They are very lucky to have him! Thank you for another enjoyable meal. We'll be back!

Monday finds us here for Burger & beer night. $14. Good burger, properly prepared with lots of choices of sides. Indoor and out door seating. Dogs welcome outside. Kitchen is small, so when things get busy, it can get backed up. Most servers are excellent. Managers run the place very well.

While staying across the street we saw Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern. We decided to check it out. When we got there it was fairly busy but we were quickly seated. We had a nice high top table facing the marina with great view of the boats. Our server was very friendly and answered all of our menu questions. For appetizers we tried the steak and black bean chili which came with tortilla chips. It was so good. We also had the clam chowder. It was a traditional white chowder with a hint of smokey cheese. I thought it was really good. For our main meals we got the steak salad and the fish and chips. I liked the salad but my friend did not care for the dressing they used. The grilled romaine lettuce was great and the steak complimented it well. The fish and chips were not greasy and was served with fresh made potato chips. I would recommend JFAT for a great meal and good times. As always this is only my opinion.

We never had a glass go empty and the garlic fries were awesome. Rocky the manager was awesome! Very much suggest trying this place and the spicy ketchup!

Great location, varied menu and good drinks. The servers are nice, and no matter how busy they are, they keep up the great pace. We like to come here after renting kayaks and paddleboards right next door at OEX. They have amazing tator tots!!!

Wonderful restaurant, with excellent food and great views! Even my kids loved their food! Best chocolate chip cookies, to boot! Looking forward to coming back on our next visit.

I chose to go here as it is literally across the street from the hotel I was staying at. as I walked in I was seated quickly and the beer came not long after. The enviorment inside is a mix of wood and our door patio. very nice, lots of fresh air but closed in.... I ordered the shrimp pasta and a starter to share of the truffle fries. OMG the truffle fries are awesome... you must get them! The shrimp dish was full of good sized shrimp, a bit of very wide noodle and cream sauce with seeds on top. The shrimp were cleaned, and tails cut off and cooked nicely. The noodles were a bit over cooked but had good flavor and the sauce was creamy and savory. A very nice dish for sure. all in all... this place is great, I will be returning here!

Stopped in with friends on New Year's Day for early lunch and had friendly service and good food. Glad they were open, not a lot of places were, and staff seemed eager to make sure we had a great experience. Will definitely stop back in again next time we are out on the boat.

Great food with great service. I have been there a few times and it is now my go-to dinner destination.

Located on The Promenade at Point Loma, you'll be able to walk along the docks on your way there. If possible, definitely sit outside to fully take advantage of the marina activity. A beautiful spot at any time of the day. Can be a bit loud if you are inside. Grabbed a quick bite at the bar while on the go. Had the "Dueling Southern Dips" (which I recommend). Service was outstanding! One of 5 California locations for Jimmy's.

I had read some reviews that Jimmy's had slipped in quality and service but we've enjoyed going there so we thought we'd give it a go regardless. Jimmy's did not disappoint. Anyone that sees many of my posts know that I love a good burger and this was an amazing burger! The service was good, you can't beat the atmosphere. Parking is a bit of a drag, but if you get there other than prime time it's not all that bad. San Diego is expensive and getting more expensive by some restaurants adding surcharges on to their checks. If you're looking for a McDonalds priced burger this isn't the place, but if you want a great meal and a view that will take your breath away give it a try!

After an afternoon spent touring the Cabrillo National Monument park we stopped at Jimmy's for Happy Hour. Nice setting at the marina with ample outdoor seating. The happy hour menu is a great value. We enjoyed the homemade potato chips with bleu cheese sauce. Yum!! Our server Audrey (who was fantastic) suggested we try their house chipolte ketchup with the chips too. Wow! Dipping the chips in a blend of the two sauces definitely a great suggestion. Next my partner had the waygu sliders with pimento cheese and bacon jam and could not stop raving about them. Being vegetarian, I chose the harvest bowl from the dinner menu. I've had quite a few bowls in my 43 years as a vegetarian and this one did not disappoint. Warm and satisfying with fresh vegetables and baby asparagus. Delicious!

We have stayed within walking distance to JFATS for many years and love grabbing a pint and eating diner on their patio which offers views of the fishing piers. Lots of taps to choose from, great happy hour, delish short ribs, and something I look forward to for every trip to SD!

I had a delicious burger. I have some dietary restrictions, and the waitress made certain that I received a meal that I could eat and enjoy. I especially liked the option to sit in the San Diego sunshine, right on the bay. Be careful in the parking lot. Black parking tombstones on an asphaltic pavement are not obvious, and do not give good depth perception.

Great service, food was excellent and the wait was very short. They had a very large party to tend to but that didn't in any way get in the way of our service great waitstaff.

What a fun place for brunch! Go for the bloody Mary’s & bottomless mimosas! Deviled eggs are a must, and every bit as good as homemade! Great options for special diets as well as comfort food. Great service.

Service very slow 12 minutes to order. 12 minutes to get spinach/ artichoke dip, very salty, chips almost burnt Dip had very little artichoke it in Smash burger was ok, bun was squeezed flat and a bit soggy, the hamburger was a bit over cooked. The fries were crispy but very little salt Service was very slow, they were not that busy. Next time I will go to McDonalds. That should tell you something.

The food here is great. On the water, it is a good place to eat with friends. Cocktails are very nice and the staff is friendly.

Really good burger, wonderful service, decent wine list, good scenery, walking distance to our hotel
Great food, service and plenty of both!
My wife and I were staying across the street from the harbor and had arrived later in the afternoon. Shortly thereafter, we decided we didn't want to drive somewhere for dinner, so we thought we would walk along the harbor area and check out the restaurant situation. After checking out quite a few restaurants, none of which appealed to us we arrived at Jimmy"s. Immediately, it was as if we were pulled inside the door. The feeling was like; this looks like a place with good food and service. The feeling was right and it was an awesome decision to eat there. The food was outstanding and plenty of it per serving. Even being busy at that time, the service was fast, friendly and extremely attentive throughout the whole meal. The ambiance was sort of quaint all american with a modern touch. Very inviting. It's a real gem!
