Dream place , with an incredible view, its tables on the beach distinguish the place . Yesterday his barely normal food, silvers brought in at different times, the very bad attention, the very hurried waiter, we were saved by waiters Nilson and Mariza Peralta.

Came with my bf for dinner and drinks. It was amazing and the food was incredible. The weather was horrible but it didnt stop us from having a nice experience. The service was good

We arrived at 8pm and had to wait until 9pm for a table, despite the entire restaurant being empty!!! What a ridiculous policy! And the hostess needs to learn how to treat customers with respect - being called "sweety" was completely unprofessional and tacky! This place has really gone downhill.

 in | Dinner | $100+ Terrible!! We were a group of 6, and decided to celebrate my wife's birthday two Mondays ago at Joia. Bad decision. Worst service ever!! From beginning to end. Plus, over priced food and drinks. Would never go back. Then they tag a 20% service fee. The waiter wanted extra tip and gave major attitude when we didnt. What a joke!! The view is not worth it.

The location is stunning and unique - from the walkway to the restaurant, to the bar and then the seating area. Sadly the food was very average and service was slow. The cheese on the burger was not even melted which is such a basic thing to get right, and the fries average. The steak was under cooked and the roast potatoes over cooked. It’s an expensive place which is due to the amazing location rather than the food and service.

We absolutely loved Joia Beach! We came with my husband to spend the day in the sun, got some lounge chairs and had lunch there. The welcome was warm, the entire staff was amazing — and especially Paris, who took great care of us and was super friendly and helpful. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're coming to Miami!

Great food, drinks, and view. Unfortunately I was neglected for over 25 minutes. I had one drink and wanted to get another and food. I wish I was checked on when my glass was empty and before the ice started melting. 🫠 otherwise great place and looking forward to returning!

Coming to this place was an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, Zoltan welcomed us with such kindness and made us feel truly comfortable. Very cool place, the views are insane, good drinks but it all comes with a big price tag. for two apitizers, two main courses and drinks(beer and red wine) USD 400 (inluding gratuity, however, the server said we needed to add more tip to cover the cost of the DJ etc) Food was ok but not more, not USD 400 good, compared to our fav restaurant Buddakan in NYC where we paid USD 260 for a GREAT experience Cme here for drinks, not the food

Our waiter was Andres and from the start he was very attentive, used our names through the whole experience, made good recommendations, and kept our drinks full! Fantastic outdoor spot on the water with city views, DJ, and great vibes.

The ambiance was so amazing we came on a Sunday and the music was eccentric. The skirt steak was a 10/10 and the drinks were made to perfection. We had the pleasure to be served by Jose he was full of energy and happy to recommend us the best items. Kresli helped us out and told us the dessert platter was the best option. Joia Beach is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a mix of great vibes, music, and drinks in a stunning setting. I came here for one of their Saturday night events, and the energy was just right. The two DJs kept the crowd moving with an amazing set—definitely a highlight of the night. The drinks here are solid. If you’re into cocktails, the Pure Joia is a must-try, and the fact that it’s on their happy hour menu (Wed-Fri, 5-7 PM) for just $12 makes it even better. Service was also on point—friendly, fast, and attentive, which really adds to the experience. Now, about the food… it’s just okay. Definitely not the main reason to come here, and the prices feel a bit steep for what you get. But then again, this is a beach club—you’re really here for the ambiance. And that’s where Joia Beach shines. It’s an amazing place to unplug, sip on great drinks, vibe to good music, and soak in a Miami sunset with Edgewater’s gorgeous waterfront in the background. Honestly, what more do you need?

The reception was not optimal, long Waiting time to get our table which was pre-booked, after complaints we got a table in the end. She who placed us first sentence was that we were allowed to sit for 2 hours at most. The food great and also the waiter.

Unbelievable the poor attention of the hostess with long black hair with wicks, I could not know her name, I understand the heat yesterday morning and that it is not easy to work with public but her attitude was not at all friendly, despot with her coworkers, and to add while looking for our reservation was distracted with the cell phone chatting. Terrible attitude for the first impression one has of the place. At least our server was very friendly and attended us with very good vibes, it is very nice to go on a Saturday day but the attention is terrible.

Her inviting personality and warm smile made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect table for our "sister lunch" date. Her attentiveness truly enhanced our lunch experience, She is a fantastic addition to this beach club! Everything was very nice, the food, the vibes, the service, & the drinks! We look forward to coming back very soon!!

Went to Joia on a Saturday. Food was good but the service is always what I look for in a restaurant, it really impacts the food and the whole experience. Daniel was our server he made everything easy, and gave us great customer service. Would definitely go back.

We love coming to Joia beach and having Andy as a server. All the food he recommended was exceptional. Everyone is always very friendly and vibe is great.

My friend and I chose to spend the last day of our long weekend trip at Joia Beach. Overall, I really enjoyed it. The day bed was comfortable, spacious, and reasonably priced ($50 for the day). We went on a Monday, so the minimum food spend was only $25pp (same on Wednesdays and Thursdays). I ordered an iced latte to start, and then falafel balls and a ranch water for lunch. Everything was yummy, if slightly overpriced. The minimum food spend Friday-Sunday is $100pp, and I wasn't so impressed that I would come back and eat and drink enough to hit that. Our waitress was lovely and checked up on us enough without being overbearing. The water was so nice and refreshing, though the area roped off in the water is more for sitting/floating than swimming. The music was not too loud from our daybeds, which I really liked. My only real notes pertain to the experience we had arriving with luggage (we came from our hotel in Miami Beach). I would guess a not insignificant portion of their guests are tourists who may be bringing luggage they'd like to store during their visit. Understandably, I don't think they have this type of guest in mind often, but it would be a nice touch to offer a golf cart or some kind of concierge to bring luggage from the entrance to a secure space for the day. We had to roll our luggage down the long entrance walk. When we arrived at the hostess stand and mentioned we needed our luggage held, the hostess was initially confused. We had called ahead to confirm whether they could hold our luggage, and were told they could do so, so it seemed that whoever took our call did not make a note of our request in their system. No big deal -- she did oblige to holding our luggage behind the outdoor reception desk, but we assumed they would have at least a small, dedicated and secure area for holding luggage, if not also a simple system for tagging bags. Ultimately, there was a spill near the desk, so she quickly pivoted to offering to hold our luggage in their office. I appreciated that. Later, I left a bit earlier than my friend as we had different flights. When they retrieved my luggage, they also brought hers out and insisted it stay by the reception desk, instead of just leaving it in the office until she was ready to leave. Again, not a big deal on its own, but taken with the other little blips, it made for a bit of friction. I have used day passes at similar venues in other cities and had a much smoother experience with storing luggage. Finally -- and it's possible I missed it -- I would suggest they build out a more robust outdoor shower space. The only one I could find was a single spout placed in a very open part of the venue. It would have been nice to clean up a bit more before my flight (albeit a short one to New York, so it was not the end of the world). Overall, I had a good experience, and I think with more attention to client experience for, perhaps, nonstandard guests, it would be phenomenal. I would definitely come back if I find myself in Miami on a weekday again.

We have visited Joia before and looked forward to a returning. This is a lovely location with great atmosphere, it’s slightly out of the main entertainment areas but it is water front and as expected located on the sand. It has been a couple of years since we were last in Miami so pleased to see Joia hadn’t really changed in that time. It’s a lively vibe which gets better as the sun goes down and the evening atmosphere builds. That all sounds positive ( I hear you think ) so why only a 3* review. Well simply Miami is beginning to suffer with excessive Marijuana smoking and this was not controlled at Joia on the night of our visit. We sat at a lovely table in the sand, and had an attentive server. We ordered our meal and a bottle of wine, we soon noticed a waft of marijuana smell , this became increasingly strong. We spoke to our server about this and it really disturbed our enjoyment of the evening. So much that we had to move table away from the beach area and back into the covered area. Unfortunately the effect of the strong smell affected me , and I was violently sick and therefore unable to complete my meal and evening, we left shortly afterwards. I did have communication with the location manager the followings days, who apologised and said if I would return he would ensure I had a better experience. However I didn’t think I wanted to spend more money at a venue that allowed such obvious smoking that disturbed other guests. Sure this is an open air location but the smell was so strong it ruined our evening. Now management will tell you that they stop such situations when noticed, but they didn’t on this occasion, maybe due to the fact it was coming from a large group table that were clearly spend more money than me. .

I made a reservation before going and when I was seated by my host, Carlos, there was no one in my area. So I was alone, and my friends were in a different section. After asking to be seated with my friends, Carlos was going back and forth with me in front of everyone about what the difference was between the two sections, and told me I needed to pay $50. I was able to pay but he brought it up as if I couldn’t pay it. I went on to pay a $160 tab. More than my friends paid. My friends were white. I was the only black female. I noticed Carlos was seating black folks on one side of the beach club and white people on the other side. I was only treated properly when St. Just stepped in and had me seated near my friends. I think he was the manager. I was very obviously given a hard time by Carlos.

Tonight was pure magic! My friends and I celebrated a birthday at this incredible restaurant, and everything—from the ambiance to the service—was beyond perfection. A huge shoutout to Ash, our amazing waiter, who made the night even more special. His warmth, attentiveness, and impeccable service truly set the tone for an unforgettable experience. Every detail was taken care of with such thoughtfulness! And let’s talk about the sparkles! The birthday celebration felt like something straight out of a dream—glamorous, vibrant, and filled with energy. The food? Absolutely divine. The atmosphere? Electric. Joia Beach is a bit like Miami’s Saint-Tropez… but with guaranteed sunshine and zero traffic! Run by a French owner, this place is pure enchantment: a private beach, absolutely stunning sunsets, and service so impeccable you’d think they have a magic wand. The Mediterranean dishes are delicious and refined, but you absolutely must try their chocolate mousse - it’s by far the best in Miami, and trust me, I’ve sampled quite a few! Between elegance, turquoise waters, and a relaxed-chic vibe, Joia Beach is undoubtedly one of my favorite spots in Miami.
