Great food! Great Service@

By LovesChicagoFood |

Great potato n apple pancakes! Authentic polish food and something for everyone. Been coming here for over 25 years and the food keeps getting better. The service is very attentive and food is always fresh and warm. My 92 year old dad and my 21 year old nephew loved it as much as I.

Delicious buffet and home cooked quality! Excellent.

By LittleNuggie |

This was my first Polish buffet. It was DELICIOUS. I had fresh carved ham, sauerkraut, boiled potatoes, fresh fruit. I liked the cream cheese filled pasta. (not sure what that is called) I couldn't believe all the choices and my sister loved the desserts! This is quality, home cooked food, and many choices for everyone. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Full stars for this review. Try this if you need some heartwarming comfort food! We would go again in a heartbeat!

Great Polish Buffett

By edski1999 |

Great Polish buffet! The food is authentic and tastes excellent! More than enough to choose from. The waitresses are wonderful! Don't worry, they speak English too. The only thing that would make eating here better, is a ice cream machine!

The best buffet

By Joanna T |

Absolutely fantastic, great selection, everything warm and fresh I went there with my 2.5 year old grandson and even he enjoyed and he really ate finally. He loved the most that he could choose what he wants to eat. I recommend this place to everyone.

Always stop when visiting Galos Caves

By justpeachymt3 |

I've been to Jolly Inn on many occasions, bringing family and friends for lunch either before or after (depending on traffic) relaxing in Galos Cave which is located in the buiding. The buffet is fresh and has something for everyone. My last visit required just a bowl of their chicken noodle soup, which hit the spot on that very rainy afternoon.

Must stop for Polish Buffet

By Ltrock541 |

This is always a stop for me when I get to Chicago. AYCE Polish Buffet. Large selections of meats, great salad bar and especially love their potato pancakes. The sauerkraut soup was excellent but is an extra cost from the buffet. Most of the staff are from or are of Polish culture. Full bar available with Polish beers on tap.

Smacznego!

Went here with family for old fashioned Polish food on a recent visit. There were plenty of dishes on offer, both Polish and otherwise. I opted for traditional favorites (pirogi, kielbasa, kasha, horseradish and more) while my nieces had Chinese soup and chicken with potatoes. It's definitely a favorite with the locals, and the food is good, and there's plenty on offer. Glad we came here.

Very Happy

Great food! There was a good selection on the buffet and food was awesome. Very happy with our visit.

Such a nice waitress!

Sometimes really nice people make all the difference! We had a very good meal. It was fun trying all of the different dishes. Good food for the price.

Great Polish Buffet on the Northwest Side of the City

By Lulabell2014 |

Great Polish Buffet. My husband and I enjoyed 45 minutes in the Galos Caves next door which is owned by Jolly Inn and afterwards decided to have a nice hot Polish dinner. It was great. The cost was about $15.00 per person for all you can eat. There is a huge variety of food to pick from and the service for drinks was very good. We left the restaurant filled. I would recommend this buffet to everyone who wants to get a good hot Polish meal.

Great buffet and friendly service

By AceTravelerguy |

Jolly Inn is great for family and friendly gatherings when you are hungry. Bring your appetite! So many options from Polish traditional dinner to salad bar, carving station, and desert table. Very affordable. We have been here twice as a family and service was excellent both times. They do not take reservations it is 1st come 1st serve so peak weekend times or holidays may have you waiting for a table. Example: We went here once on Easter Sunday and waited 30 minutes for a table. We went again In late July on a Friday night and there was No wait. We really enjoyed this place... including kids and adults. Credit cards accepted and there is a full bar.

Good place to stop for quick and tasty Polish food.

By Raficus |

I have been there already probably 10 times. The place is good and they have very tasty food. The minus of this place is service. Last time when I was there the service was excellent but previously was, let say, just ok (everything depends who is your waiter). There is not big verity of choice of the main courses. Usually in buffet we are used to have a lot of choices. The pluses are: The food is quite good. They have great verity of salads & fruits. You can order a beer, which is unusual in buffets! In addition, this place is famous for their delicious Polish pancakes with white sweet cheese - AWESOME!!! I guarantee you, you will not be able to find better and cheaper Polish pancakes in Chicagoland than over there.

Excellent Buffet - worth it!

By Lucy W |

Remodeled and still a great deal. The buffet is excellent, fresh salads and desserts. Took a few friends visiting from out of town.

Dobre Jedzenie! Good Food!

By Georgia04 |

I have eaten here numerous times and LOVE their food. Traditional Polish food served off menu or buffet. I order the buffet every time. Every dish in buffet is good; chicken, sauerkraut, cheese, potato & meat pierogies, stuffed cabbage, barley sausage, potato pancakes, prime rib, turkey, dumplings. Cold salad and dessert bar. Full liquor bar too. All fabulous. They also have a banquet hall and lots of parking. Try this restaurant it'll become a favorite.

Will get full

Have gone alone and as part of big group. Waited on very good, both styles. Very big variety of good food.

BEST POLISH BUFFET IN CHICAGOLAND AREA

By J S |

Fabulous fresh, hot, authentic tasting Polish food in a very welcoming environment at a very reasonable price. There is even a senior special during weekday dinner hours. Both my companion and myself are Polish and the food brings back many happy memories of food our parents and grandparents served us.

Wonderful Polish Food!

By David T |

We are from out of town and are not Polish, but we wanted to try Polish food because we like to try local food whenever we travel. We found the Jolly Inn on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. Wow, it was amazing! The buffet had a huge variety which allowed us to try lots of Polish specialties, and EVERYTHING was delicious - from the salads to the pierogis to the meats to the sides to the desserts. And all at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the Best

By Thom |

Still one of the best Polish buffets in Chicago. Excellent variety of authentic Polish food--great pierogis and golmpki. Excellent homemade soups and great service. A long-time favorite.

Fresh ingredients!!

By Komi A |

They use fresh ingredients to make the food, and they were delicious. All the food were seasoned properly, and the staffs were very friendly and amazing .

An eastern european taste

By John S |

I been eating at this restaurant for uncounting times. The reason for coming back so many times is very easy to find out: a delicious food and a friendly environment. Since the Poland is not far from Romania, the food taste is very similar with the food that my mom used to cook for me or my wife. All the food is prepared daily, fresh with reasonable price. The creps made here are the best in town. I do recommend this restaurant for every body to taste an eastern european food at the highest class posible.

Jolly Good Time

By toadsoup |

Went to Jolly Inn after visiting Galos Caves (right next door - same building). I believe the Inn and Caves are owned by the same people. I think. Nevertheless, great Polish buffet - fantastic potato pancakes and pierogis. Starts off with complimentary soup and ends with ice cream. Really enjoyed the food.

Jolly Good!

By FoodFight101 |

This all-you-can-eat Polish buffet is among our favorite places to stoke up on hearty comfort food at bargain prices. Though Jolly Inn offers a decent salad bar and a smattering of foods that are not deep-fried or awash in rich sauces, we go there to indulge in weighty classics like fried chicken, chicken liver, kielbasa with kraut, stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, apple pancakes, cheese blintzes, and assorted pierogi (DIET is a 4-letter word!). The hand-carved beef tends to be too well-done for my liking. On the dessert table, I pass up the lovely but bland cake squares in favor of the kolaczki and anything made with custard. The European service staff is charming and delightful. Stomachs bloated, we then waddle over to the adjoining Galos Salt Cave to relax.

Absolutely WONDERFUL dining experience!

By Hannahbears_mom |

I was so happy to find a really good Polish restaurant during our wanderings. The perogies were delicious, but my absolute favorite was the sauerkraut and the cwikla. My daughter loved the latkes with a lot of apple sauce and the boiled potatoes with dill. I hope I can find a restaurant as good as then when we get home!

Great selection of Polish food

By Mozart |

The server was pleasant. The price is very reasonable. We enjoyed our visit. Service was fast and friendly. The food is authentic and delicious! You won’t go away hungry here.

Massive portions, great price.

By Skysoldier4life |

Great polish food, as much as you can eat, at a great price. As unhealthy as it probably is for me...I gorge myself here each and every lunch while working conferences in chicago.

Wonderful Meal

By edski1999 |

Always delicious! Lots to choose from on the buffet. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Food was very fresh.

Best of the Polish buffets

By Ted Z |

The quality has not changed over the years. Standard offerings like pierogi, golabki, sausage, potatoes with dill, cutlets, kiszka. Usual dessert fare. Nice salads. Good soups. Surprising specialty dishes like stuffed pork roast. Great takeaway options. A good buy for the money every time.

Great Polish Food

Great Polish food for lunch or dinner

By Lulabell2014 |

The food was great as usual. With it being the holiday weekend (Easter) - they had all kinds of different foods out than they normally have. The service is always good.

Loved it!

By Dawn C |

Our favorite Polish buffet recently closed so we tried the Jolly Inn and were not disappointed. Hot, fresh food and great selection of items. Great service, reasonable price. We’ll definitely be back.

So yummy!!!

By Nicole W |

The food is so so yummy! Reminds me of the food right from Poland. Brings me right back home. Definitely a favorite of mine and many of my friends. The pierogis are to die for! And on top of that, all the workers are so friendly and make the experience even more enjoyable!

Average At Best!

By Kimberly L |

Although the reviews seemed promising, it was not worth the hour drive for us. It had the staple Polish cuisine but nothing special. The highlight was mushroom soup. Seemed it was meant for locals as they piled their plates wide and high.

Stunning service, decor, and buffet

By TrooperMax |

If the friendly staff and beautiful decor isn't enough to please, the buffet certainly is. Delicious Polish cuisine in a lovely environment.

Amazing European Buffet

By elong |

OMG, I haven’t been here in years. The food is out of this world delicious!!!!!! Can’t believe the variety they offer. I wish I could have tried everything. A must go to if you’re in the area. Very friendly and attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back.

Almost as good as babushka's and mom's cooking......

By Virginia M |

As long as this place has been in business have never had a less than really really good meal here. COME HUNGRY....cause it's all you can eat!!!!!The salad bar has super super fresh choices as well as traditional Polish salads (carrots with raisins and.....), sometimes herring salad....I know, try it anyway, and cucumbers, onions in sour cream to die for. There's also fresh fruit for years.......The pierogi choices are many as well as potato pancakes...(my fave) and sweetened ones also. There's a carving board with 3 choices nightly.....beef is outstanding. And then the hot buffet/....beef stroganoff anyone????, kielbasa of course, kapusta, shrimp, fried whitefish, chicken, ribs, stuffed cabbage (gotta have at least one), and try the gizzards.....it's a delicacy and they prep it just right.....you'll never be the same again. And to top of the meal there's a dessert buffet, flan, coconut macaroons(super fresh), and assorted cakes as well as ice cream and sundaes. Here's the best part....early during the week it's something like $10!!!!!!Coffee, tea and soda are extra, but go for the Polish beer, again you won't regret it in the least. Great for a first date and you won't break the bank. Cleanest restaurant in town and the nicest ladies for servers. They also have a deal for take out.

Authentic Polish buffet

By David L |

Just like home cooking. Large buffet and good soup. A little on the heavy side but with lighter options.

Service and parking are great. We meet friends here when we visit Chicago. price per person is very affordable... A great Polish market is near and we always go there to do our ethnic shopping there. highly recommend.

Polish food in Chicago.

By ChicagoRick |

I have enjoyed good Polish smorgasbords for many decades. I believe I have been to every one in Chicago. My current favorite Polish restaurant is The Jolly Club. Consistancy has always been very good. I know what to expect. Pierogi, Golabki (Stuffed Cabbage), Potato Pancakes, Kapusta (sour kraut) and many more. The choices are endless. They even have a beef roast and their fried chicken is excellant as it is cooked in a broaster. If you enjoy European style food or if you have Polish or Lithuanian friends coming to vist, you can't go wrong with the Jolly club. I believe they still have a senior special from 2pm to 4pm where you get soup and coffee included. Of course, deserts are included on the buffet everyday. Free parking and great waitstaff.

OMG!

By Gregory G |

First, you can't get a deal better for lunch than $9.95 for all the Polish food you can eat! Soup and beverage is extra. Second, the waitresses and other employees are friendly and helpful, especially when I needed help knowing what some of the dishes on the buffet were. Lastly, the food is extraordinary! The salads and appetizer bar is delicious, but don't fill up too much because you have dozens of items to choose from at the main dish bar! Periogi, potato pancakes, sauerkraut, chicken, pork cutlet, meat, more meats, and more potatoes! If you are on a diet, you are in trouble! I believe everything is homemade; it surely tastes like it, I wish my Polish grandmother would have made most of these dishes before she passed away. Then there is a small dessert bar! I will definitely come back when I am visiting the area!

Yummy Polish food

By Kathleen123000 |

We stopped by for lunch today, and were very satisfied. A good selection of pierogies, potatoe dumplings, aPolish sausage, cabbage rolls. the buffet includes salad & dessert bar. A nice homey place. Well worth a stop for good Polish food! The only problem we had was the fellow at the front desk continued to talk on the phone while we waited for a server to seat us.

Reminds me of when I was in Poland

By KelloggTraveler |

I’m not usually a fan of buffets but the Jolly Inn is next door to Galos Caves where I went for a session. Their buffet has probably the widest selection of food I’ve ever seen. Of what I’ve sampled the following were really very good: chicken livers and onions, ham hocks, perogi, flan and a few other dishes. Soup is extra but superfluous consider what you have before you. The service, Zophia was our waitress, was outstanding and the restaurant was very clean and well laid out. Price was excellent for what you get. We’ll certainly return when in the neighborhood.

Mmm good

Food is not as good or consistent as it was in the past. Good quality is better at other nearby options. It isn’t bad, just average with decent service.

Good food and good service

By romanpiekosz |

We went there for birthday dinner of our friend. It was long time since I've used this type of restaurant(smorgasbord). I was surprised how good food they offer. All kind of meat, fish, pasta, pierogies, blintzes. They all were delicious. I've tried most of them. I was stuffed, not able to try sweets. They looked very good and taste too according to my friends. I recommend this restaurant. RomanP

Extremely Friendly Polish Buffet

By RedLodger |

First time visit this afternoon during the senior special hours of 2-5pm Mon-Fri. For just under $12 per senior, we got complimentary soup and soft drinks along with a really good buffet. The sauerkraut soup was very good. The buffet line has a good selection of both Polish and American cuisine. I sampled many items and loved them all. The roast beef is carved fresh and was so tender that I could cut it with my fork! The asparagus was tender and seasoned perfectly. For dessert I had a scrumptious slice of custard pie. The waitress offered complimentary ice cream, but I was too stuffed to accept it. I highly recommend this restaurant for a good casual meal. The staff is very friendly and extremely attentive.
