Best Breakfast!

By dwgibbs |

It was my birthday so I got to select the site for breakfast! Even though it was way across town, my top choice was Juan's! We immediately got a booth in the cozy front room! I had my favorite: Migas with chorizo mixed in and queso on top! Incredible! Sides of potatoes and refried beans are great! In fact, their refried beans are easily the best in Austin! I was very hungry so I also had a bean & chorizo taco, just to get more of the delicious beans! I think they use smoked bacon fat that provides the fantastic flavor! My wife had a delicious chicken quesadilla, with pico de gallo, that was so large she only ate half! Without question, I recommend Juan's to anyone seeking an outstanding Mexican breakfast experience!

Juan in many taco places

By eug w |

The wife and I loved in an Airbnb close by and this was perfect for a hearty breakfast. We were eager to dive into the many permutations of taco available in Austin and this place had a great am version.

A cult restaurant

By Stiglitz11 |

After years of not going to this place i went back. I stood in line for an eternity and once inside the food was Tex Mex and not much better than it was five years ago. An amazing crowd of menials who have no clue what they are eating. The food I will say was OK but not worth the half hour in line.

I was in Austin for one day

By Sarah S |

I was in Austin for one day and was recommended to check this place out! Maybe it was hyped up to much but the breakfast tacos were just okay and the service was unfortunately lacking. They were packed though, so my experience could have been an outlier.

A South Texas staple for breakfast or brunch.

By tlyons001 |

Order the Juan in a Million special. A platter heaped with scrambled eggs, bacon, potato, and shredded cheese on a flour tortilla. Ask for four more tortilla's as to enjoy the whole platter. And above all go early, by 10:30 A.M. there is a line out the door on weekends.

Great breakfast tacos!!

By OnTheRhoadesAgain |

Great breakfast tacos!! This place is a favorite with the locals. We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast and had to wait outside for a bit (20 min maybe), but the food was worth it!

Authentic and delicious

By YatesSuffolk |

Authentic Mexican food. No fuss and absolutely delicious. There is quite a lot to choose from but the server helped us out with what we should order. It is a bit of a trek out of town, through a local neighbourhood but well worth the walk.

Simply delicious!

By mayaringo1 |

Love the name! Came here on recommendation from friends who were in town before I️ arrived for our Austin trip. Fell in love with the horchatas. The owner himself greeted me while I️ was taking care of the check and wanted to make sure everything was better than expected. First time in Texas and definitely will be back to this place when I️ come back...thanks Juancho

Great experience

By Jesse T |

We never had breakfast tacos before and they were delicious, staff lovely and easy to park at 11am. We all had different simple tacos and loved them. 3 full and fed people for $15!

Solid Breakfast Spot

By missy64sully |

We ate here twice during our stay in Austin. It was walking distance from our Homeaway. We enjoyed a very hearty Mexican breakfast. Good value for what you received. I had the eggs Mexicano. Very tasty and spicy! Good service too.

It's Okay

By giovanna |

My friends and I visited Austin for a weekend trip and everyone there was raving about this place. The food was okay. Nothing out of this world. When it got to the table it was cold.

Tasty, filling, friendly and inexpensive!

By Marco W |

We went for a late breakfast and it wasn’t a waiting line but it was fairly crowded. We all got different things but the favorite mealamongst the four of us was the Don Juan el taco grande Our favorite taco was the fajita chicken The portions were large and next time we would only get two tacos when ordering à la cart. Service was friendly and the prices were quite reasonable

Great Food, Great Price

By Tim D |

Great food at great prices. Food is plentiful and at an excellent price point. Good tasting food in an off the beaten path location in east Austin. A must do when in Austin.

Ave Mexican food

Excellent Affordable Breakfast

By cypjg |

As usual the breakfast was great. We love the variety offered for the price and they give you plenty. Three of us ate off of one order. We always try to stop in when we are in town. Recommend all to try.

It's Worth the Visit

By TrailBlazer_BOZ |

We had tried to visit the restaurant before but got turned off by the long wait. This time we were seated in about 15 minutes. It's a place with multiple seating areas and somewhat hectic - Sunday mid morning. The service was good and prompt. The prices are very reasonable and the portions filling. I would avoid the Queso - too watery for me. They do need to improve on the bathroom experience as it can be a wait when the place is busy. Otherwise, I would recommend Juan in a Million as a good place to eat.

The food and service was excellent!

By Katie S |

We loved the food and service we Received. We had chicken quesadillas, beef tacos, and The Don Juan Grande and all were excellent. The salsa was spicy so watch out.

Good food

By Jake S. |

Ate here recently. Good breakfast! Good portions. They had really quick service although waiting space was outside. Other than that, no issues here.

Bet you can only eat one Breakfast (Juan n a Million)

By James S |

It's always busy at Juan's and I always get the Juan n a Million Breakfast Taco. You can eat one and a second is really pushing it.....

A Local Favorite

By Wayne B |

When the local folks in Austin recommend this place for breakfast, you know its going to be good. Juan welcomes you with a warm handshake and the food is down home, Austin-Mexican and more than you can eat. Go for it. It's always full but never a long line - a perfect stop in the morning for breakfast.

Don't pass on the horchata

By Kevin B |

The Con queso breakfast dish was delicious. The stewed pork was tender and flavorful. Probably the first time I truly enjoyed refried beans. A bit smokey with actual seasoning. The best horchata I have ever had. Creamy and delicious. Also massive drink for only 3.75. Good prices and friendly/quick service. Also the salsa was great with a bit of a kick

True Tex-Mex

By Johnny ATX |

There are scads of mediocre Tex-Mex joints in Texas that can’t even put a decent plate of enchiladas on the table. This is the real deal. Just get the enchiladas and a beer. Don’t over think it.

expensive eggs

By Larz V |

.....very popular spot, you have likely read about it or seen it on TV. I understand lines go out the door sometimes. Glad I went but likely won't return. Expensive ($22) including tip for two orders of migas, juice. If you are in east Austin, consider going. I still prefer Maudies for what I think is the best texmex in town.

Legit Mexican Breakfast

By Dougboat |

So glad we went here. This place is old, not sure how old but it’s a classic. Tons of space and absolutely slinging breakfast when we went. I got the huevos machacados and it was incredible. Best thing on the menu is the homemade tortillas though. I could have seriously eaten a hundred. The regular house salsa was also on point as well. Very spicy and very delicious. ONLY negative I can think of is that they didn't have iced coffee or cold brew. As a true New Englander, I reject hot coffee for breakfast and only drink iced--year round. They didn't have any iced options, but I can't blame them in Texas. Overall I would score this place 9/10. No frills in the dining room, but the quality of the food and service more than makes up for it. Delicious, fast, cheap.

Worth the walk across Austin!

By CathyCole |

TA told us Juan in a Million was one of the best Mexican breakfasts in Austin. We walked across Austin (approx 4 miles) so that we would be good and hungry for breakfast. And hungry you should be- the plates are HUGE! There was a small line out the door but the wait wasn’t too long. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of happy families, groups and couples. Food was delish! We will definitely re-visit in our next try to Austin!

Marvelous!!

By Kim F |

When visiting Austin, our son recommended this place for breakfast one morning! We made it there more toward brunch time but he was right! It was magnificent. There was a short wait line, but so worth the wait! We had the Don Juan and almost licked the plate clean. Added a side of Queso and omg - my mouth is watering right now! Don't miss out on the hidden gem!

5 star dive

By Joe H |

There's nothing like tacos and beer the next morning to cure last night and this place does it right. They have some of the best tacos you'll ever want. You many eat yourself well past full and straight into a food coma. Don't let the looks deceive you. It's a lovely place!

Lunch

By Bill M |

Had lunch here two days in a row, carne quisada the first day and chicken enchiladas the second. Both meals were outstanding and the service excellent. Will return the next time I’m in town.

Juan In A Million Gabriel Culiat Review

By Gabriel A Culiat |

Juan a million is wonderful. Gabriel Culiat highly recommends them to family and friends. The food is amazing and service is great

Good place

By JOHAN F |

Discovered this place on TV and would recommend… easy menu and the prices are reasonnable… have to try the Juan taco's, with one you will have more than enough!

Delicious breakfast!

By nfvaldes |

Three of us shared the Don Juan Grande and a chorizo and egg taco. Both were so delicious! There’s so much flavor in the food. The tortilla chips they give you when you sit down are also really tasty. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I can see why they’re always so busy. Even if you see a long line at the front, don’t get discouraged. They move quickly. We waited about 10 minutes and it was very worthwhile.

Great fill-you-up breakfast [or brunch]

By Morgan2010 |

Had the Con Queso breakfast plate of two eggs [done as requested] plus a lot more food... beef, rice, beans, tortillas. All of it really good. Service fine. Place can get busy - because its good.

Arrive early and eat a lot!

By Angela H |

This place has a reputation for having a wonderful breakfast and they do. The lines out the door and around the block prove it, but it's worth the wait. The inside is small, but there is ample patio seating and service is fairly fast.

Soooo good, give them a try, dont wait in line go during weird times!!

By Tawnyrval |

Late post Oct 23’ My cousin raved about this spot and honestly, it did not disappoint. Got the Tuesday special -Flautas - Two rolled crispy tortillas filled with beef or chicken and topped with our delicious guacamole and sour cream, served with rice, beans, salad, tortillas and tea $12 bucks out the door, can’t be beat. Tried a bit of the machaca from my cousin and that too was bussin! I usually don’t want to over eat so I plan to always take half to go but not this time everything was sooooo good, I ate everything on the plate even after having the chips and salsa. Our server was quick and efficient, the inside probably hasn’t change except an extension, which I heard happened during covid so they can keep operations goin. Juan in a million did me wrong wahh wahh because now that I am back in Los Angeles, Ca. I keep trying to find a similar spot and has yet to happen.

Breakfast Taco Stop #1

By Yougotmeatvacation |

I was in Austin last weekend. My niece wanted to check out breakfast tacos every morning. We decided to check out Juan in a Million based off input we got from our server from our dinner the night the before. It's very local, authentic mexican place which I loved. The breakfast taco's were okay. I would go back here, but probably for lunch and just try their traditional Mexican food. Great place to try an Austin authentic Mexican joint.

GREAT MEXICAN JUNK FOOD SUPER EXPENSIVE COFFEE

By ozbu |

This place is everything they say. The food is fattening but good. Totally true Mexican food. But when you see a taco for 5 bucks and get the bill for 9. It’s the coffee. Lol. They got to make a dime somehow. I would just order a margarita next time we go back. Almost same price. Great old school atmosphere.

Lunch for breakfast

By leahrae68 |

It never disappoints and today no different! Love this place and people- no fancy surroundings, just a great place that has AWESOME food! Wish it wasn't so far. It's great for friends, couples and big family- try it, you'll like it!

Juan in a Million Tacos & Mexican Food Austin

Austin is known for great Tacos & Mexican food and this is one of the very best. It is located just east of downtown Austin. Authentic food, huge portions, great service, and friendly staff all make it famous. Get the Don Juan with extra cheese and 5 tortillas! Also bring a friend cuz that plate is huge. Did I mention it’s a meal for two for less than $7.

Authentic and YUMMY

By JunctionGirl |

This is a must stop in East Austin. Migas, tacos, and queso eggs with carne asada...everything DIVINE!! Chips and salsa for breakfast too. Glad we went!!!

You Won't Need Lunch

By Paul_Har |

What Juan in a Million shares with many other Austin eateries offering Tex-Mex breakfast fare is generous portions of the sort of food that slakes the hungriest appetite, what old-timers called "stick-to-your-ribs.." The bountiful food is served by a pleasant waitstaff, and you will be dining with local families also enjoying well-made comfort food.

Surprisingly good

By lm55417 |

Anytime you drive by this spot there are people waiting outside for their tables. The space is much bigger than we expected and the food and service were very good at a great value. We enjoyed brunch on a Friday but would definitely go back for lunch. Don't pass this one up if you're in the neighborhood.

Just not my fav...

By Saydee09 |

Good service & pretty fast. We got there early, around 8:30 so we didn’t have to wait. It was also a Monday. Breakfast menu wasn’t huge but I tried the Don Juan burrito el grande. The serving size was huge. The food was very bland though and I continuously had to add the salsa to give it flavor. Ask for extra tortillas to enjoy it more. Very cheap though for all the food you received. They also bring chips and salsa to the table right when you’re seated. Salsa is good and spicy but the chips are not homemade. Overall, really not impressed.

Breakfast

By docbillyb |

This was our first experience with tex mex for breakfast. Found it odd to eat chips and salsa for breakfast but food was good. It was just different than what we are use to. Don’t know if I would eat here again but I’m glad I tried it.

Great lunch! Food is excellent and the menu has plenty of variety. Service was outstanding as well! Would come again.

By Patrick B |

Great little restaurant in Austin! Outstanding food and service! Plenty of variety on the menu. Loved the colorful murals throughout the restaurant!

Very good Tex-Mex

By barretta |

I had a work appointment in east, and stopped in here for late breakfast. The breakfast tacos are always very good, but hard to park around there. I eat here off and on when I'm over in the east side. Reliable. Austinish.

A huge breakfast

By Arias55 |

This place has no frills but the breakfast you get will be filling and flavorful. The selection is easy - eggs of some type with tortillas, refried beans, potatoes with some dishes listing meat of some style. The menu lists breakfast tacos as well. They also have lunch and dinner service but if you want to start your day well order one of the special dishes and you will be set. The wait staff is prompt and we really enjoyed our experience.

Okay Food, But Not Worth the Wait

By TRGradly |

I liked my breakfast plate, but I was not in love with it. The rest of my party did not really enjoy their meals. The chief complaint was that the meat was slightly overcooked and a little more bland than what was expected. The eggs I had were great though, and the tortillas and salsa were excellent. I would have probably given this a higher rating had I not had to wait 40 minutes after the host said the wait would only be "about 15 minutes".

Good Local Breakfast Spot

By jld4243 |

We have eaten breakfast here several times on our trips to Austin. The Breakfast Burritos are wonderful and very filling. We try to go when it is not too busy & the wait is reasonable. I call it authentic Tex-Mex food and we always get what we expect. If someone is looking for a "table cloth" type restaurant, this may not be for you. If you want a fun, easy going place with good food, I suggest you try it.

Great food and price!

By wendelr |

I had the JaM taco - that thing was huge! Don’t order more than 1 with the assumption it a typical taco size. Scrumptious too!

Not worth the hyoe

By Cecelia W |

We got seated almost immediately on the outside covered area, party of 6. Service was fine, they were very busy and it was noticeable in service. The food was average, mine was plain-ordered beef tacos. The salsa served with the chips was too spicy to eat in normal quantities. Others ordered breakfast menu items and were pleased with the amount of food for the price.

Great Choice for Mexican/Southwest Food

By TravelingSoccerLoon |

Great cantina serving up Mexican/Southwest food. I enjoyed my flautas served with generous portions of rice and beans. It is only open for breakfast and lunch closing at 3pm. Nice outdoor patio as well. It was pretty empty on the afternoon we visited on a weekday in November. This is a solid choice if looking for Mexican/Southwestern food when in Austin.

Breakfast

By Mykelhart |

Great service, wonderful authentic Mexican food was wonderful that filled my husband and I! We'll be back!

No better breakfast in all of Texas

By 1991KEB |

This place was amazing. The breakfast will do you up for a week with prices that are unbelievable. You wonder how they do it. The huavo ranchos cover the whole place after work red chilli that is just got enough. The staff was pleasant and fast. So good we bought the tee shirt.

Never disappointing

By Arnold Y |

What an awesome place. Quality food and at affordable price. I always have the "Don Juan", its what they're known for and they always get it right, never disappointed! It's always packed during the weekends but the line goes by quickly.

One of the best Mexican breakfasts ever!

By Emily B |

I came here with a group of 10 people. Every single person LOVED their breakfast. You have to stop here for breakfast when visiting Austin. I ordered the migas (which were excellent) and every other person ordered the Don Juan. Our friends first came here after seeing the restaurant on Man v Food. The food is super cheap and delicious. I would go back in a second!

Sunday Brunch

By johnmcd2 |

My wife and I stopped in here with our college son. The wait was long but well worth the food. My son and I got the breakfast burrito plate. It was enough for 2 grown men to split. Food was spot on with good hotsauce and home made tortillas. Owner was there to shake your hand and thank you for coming! neat food place.

This place may seem like a

By Solutions123 |

This place may seem like a hole in the wall place for out of towners but locals love this place especially for breakfast. We love the Machacado and Don Juan Grande. The tortilla is homemade. Potatoes, bacon and beef are nicely seasoned to blend with other ingredients. I think you’ll like whatever they have in the menu. They offer large portions so you will not leave hungry. They are very efficient with service. Today, we got there before the mass of people so we had no wait time. They have a small parking lot for tiny cars. There is street parking too. Couple years ago they were ranked the #1 place for breakfast in Austin. They are in my top 8 places for breakfast in Austin for sure.

Authentic place - better during the week.

By Julie F |

Very local place. Came for breakfast it was good. Food was good. Prices w eye very good. True feel to the place. Service was very prompt. Nice variety of items. Can be very long wait on the weekends but during the week very easy.

Some thing different

By Alfio G |

I enjoyed this place some good Mexican breakfast Tacos, the atmosphere is great in the low end of Austin, but the food is good and cheap a great find thanks to a local.

Delicious breakfast!

By Denycia H |

Go for breakfast and get the Don Juan El Taco Grande. It's a delicious, inexpensive, and very filling breakfast. Had to knock off a star for the horrible tortilla chips. They are not made fresh on site, they are from a bag. Which I don't understand because tortilla chips are incredibly easy to make. I make them at home all the time and it makes a world of difference. The salsa was great but the horrible chips made it hard to enjoy.

Great Breakfast

By belairchef |

Very good food! Small but comfortable and the service was great. We will be back! Get there early and parking seems limited.

Nice little cut. Good folks!

By MAC72 |

Nice little cut. Good folks and atmosphere. I had the menudo (large)! Great clean taste, smooth and filling. I would give the menudo five stars by itself, but the size large was not. We’re in TX. Let’s work on this Texas sized menudo bowl. Other than that, perfect little gem. The salsa was on point. Keep at it.

Great Service

By Maya K |

I've gone here a couple times for Sunday brunch. Parking is always a small challenge, but nothing to fuss about in relation to Austin, downtown parking. The service is great here! Your drinks are never less than half full, and there are always plenty of waiters around to grab anything you might need. I gave this restaurant an average rating because I don't think the food is extraordinary compared to other Mexican food around Austin. The food leaves you feeling a little queasy because it is smothered in whatever sauce or cheese comes with the dish you ordered. I don't think the food is bad by any means! I just think there are a lot of other options for better Mexican food around Austin and especially on the East Side.

Great Mexican food!

By kbennett14 |

The food was fresh and well prepared. Atmosphere lively. We had breakfast and lunch items. Fast service and wide menu.

Mexican Breakfast

By kabjackson |

We visited with a party of 6 on a Saturday morning. It was not busy and we were seated right away. The chips and salsa were both fresh and delicious. The portions are huge. The Bloody Mary was sub par. The food just ok. One of the workers had to call Juan because we needed gluten free options. We felt that was great customer service. Our server was nice and attentive. The food arrived very quickly.

Fun little place in E Austin

By Jen78703 |

This is a Tex Mex place in East Austin that has gained a place in "must do" lists so every time I drive by the line is out the door and down the street. So we decided to try eating there on a Monday around 2. There was no line (yay). Our food was fine- typical Tex Mex. The plates were expensive- $11-$15 each. It's a small restaurant that has been added on many times. Getting to our table was treacherous with steps and uneven flooring. My husband who is mobility challenged had a hard time getting to his seat. Service was beyond slow.

Really is Juan in a million

By Krystal |

Was told by a local while in texas about this place and im glad i made the 12 block walk on that hot summer day to get breakfast! It was overwhelming!!!! I now wish i had been more adventurous with my selection but what I ordered really hit the spot regardless! If i ever make my way back to Texas ill definitely come back for round two!!!!

Fantastic breakfast tacos

By Harold S |

Even though Juan in a Million was super-busy when we stopped in, we were seated and able to order quickly, and the food was delivered after just a short time -- but not before we were able to sample the outstanding chips and salsa! The breakfast tacos were filled with fluffy eggs and spicy chorizo (not greasy) and the tortillas were expertly-prepared. Service was outstanding, and our coffee cups and water glasses were never empty. Don't be put off by a line of customers waiting to get in, or the slightly-cramped and noisy space. This place is a must for Mexican food in Austin!

Ok, but nothing to brag about

By Stephen P |

My 3 boys and I had "brunch" there last Sunday morning. We arrived about 10am and had a 40 minute wait, which only got longer after that. Two had a breakfast item and two of us had enchiladas. The sauce on the enchiladas was good, but I've certainly had better. One boy's migas was dry and he said bland, having to add a lot of salsa. The chips and salsa were ok. So, I don't think I'd wait in line 40 minutes again to eat here with all the other great places in Austin.

Texmex Austin style

By alishamerton |

Saw this place on Man vs Food, and decided that I wanted to come here while in Austin. Place was busy when I arrived, usually a great sign when the locals have crowded a restaurant. It was the best breakfast that I had during my stay in Austin. You should check it out.

March 2022 visit

By harv2u |

We went here for lunch after reading an article that said it was voted the best Tex-Mex food in Austion. We agree the food was good. The building or should I say two old houses combined was a little of a surprise. The service and value were excellent.

Breakfast or Lunch, Oh My!

By Carla F |

Visiting Austin and my sister told me about Juan in a Million so we thought we'd try it during our visit. She was right, food was great and the service was on point. We arrived and the line was wrapped around the building but she had us inside and seated in about 30 minutes. My son tried the famous "Don Juan" and wasn't disappointed. Plenty of seating and friendly staff and atmosphere.

OHHHH Juan!!!

By Jennifer B |

I traveled to Austin, TX for the weekend to visit and was taken to Juan in a Million. It was fantastic! Growing up in West Texas I am a bit of a Mexican food snob, lol. The chips, salsa, guacamole, bloody mary, mimosa's and tacos are DELICIOUS. The restaurant is cheap and beyond belief great!

Just Average

By DubbysMom2 |

Rated highly on Pinterest and Yelp. The service was average as was the food. I had simple chicken tacos that were dry and tasteless. At the very least I expected a flavorful meal. This also turned into a bit of an expensive yet tasteless meal. There must be better Mexican restaurants in Austin TX.

Deliciousness!!!

By dawnellepayne |

The wait wasn't bad, about 20 mins. We found parking pretty easily. The breakfast platter was crazy good! The prices was very reasonable. We will be back.

Breakfast Tacos for the Win

By ellenoftroy728 |

Perfect little breakfast taco spot in Austin. This place felt authentic with fair prices and delicious tacos. Provides exactly what it promises!

Great for the Price

By RandiLynn9 |

We went here for brunch, place is busy with locals but the food is really good. One of our plates was too cool (seems it had been sitting under the heat lamp too long) but they fixed it with great service and came back piping hot. Overall service and food are good.

Breakfast Tacos!

By misopiso88 |

Juan In A Million is a classic Austin restaurant with terrific food and friendly staff. They have an extensive breakfast taco menu as well as many more items. The two of us ordered 4 different things and shared them all....everything was DELISH! Get there early because it can get very crowded!

You have to go there

By Mark W |

We stopped there for breakfast and had an official breakfast taco from Texas. I had the egg, potato, sausage taco in flour tortilla. This was to die for. If you are in Austin to you have to go there. Place is a hole in the wall but outstanding.

Brunchin So Hard!

By K.P |

Quick bday girls trip to the ATX....asked all my buddies what is the ONE place that we absolutely could NOT miss - and it was a unanimous Juan in a Million! Excellent recommendation. Delicious brunch, excellent service, super casual environment, and great prices! Made us feel like a million bucks, especially after a late night enjoying the vibrant nightlife. Ordered the Migas - very generous portion of cheesy goodness, complete with potatoes, beans, and flour tortillas. Chips and salsa were great. They even brought out a less spicy second salsa option for my Yankee friend. Quick $6 Uber ride from our hotel. Will definitely be looking forward to my next trip.

Breakfast Tacos are to die for

By Dustin W |

My buddy and I started off our first morning in Austin by eating here for breakfast. There was no waiting to get a table, and we got our food super fast. Their breakfast tacos are cheap and big! I got two of the sausage and egg tacos and I was stuffed after eating them. Overall they were really good and I'd definitely come back to Austin just to get their breakfast tacos again!

reasonably priced brunch

By Beth |

Good brunch reasonably priced. Had the breakfast tacos, generous portions but a little bland. $2.50 mimosas on the weekend!

No thanks Juan

By Aggie512 |

I have been eating here since 1989. Food and staff were always great? Food was cold and not good. Hot sauce was good. Staff was OK. No thanks Juan not worth the wait or the price.

Off the beaten track, but the food...huge thumbs up!

By kdt217 |

Recommended here by my partner's brother... he knows how to find the little gems in different cities. I personally didn't eat here - was not feeling 100%. However, my partner - who you could say is a Mexican enthusiast - and the rest of the family absolutely loved it. They had breakfast tacos, which was huge but worth the try (from what I hear).

I was full for a solid 6 hours

By Jceefus |

Came here on a work trip and my cohort recommended I get the Don Juan with extra tortillas. I ended up making 4 really large breakfast tacos out of it. Damn! Now that I think about it I'm still not hungry and that was yesterday. Tasty food, pretty easy parking, decent service. I'll come back one day

You won't be disappointed

By Kathryn J |

This place was highly recommend by friends & it was worth it. The owners greeted everyone who came in. The restaurant was busy with a variety of locals & tourists. Based off a recommendation we split the Deluxe Juan with extra corn tortillas and it was plenty of food for 2 people.

Best Authentic Breakfast in Austin

By Daniela L |

I ordered machacado plate and 1 coffee for $13. My sister and her kiddos ordered 1 taco each and it had an abundant amount of egg, potato, and bacon. My brother in law ordered huevos rancheros that were also a tasty morsel. My sister order came out to $30 including drinks and coffees. This place hit home when it came to flavors. I recommend this place to anyone visiting.

Great food. Great service.

By Cali J |

Food was delicious. I had the Con Queso Breakfast. Make sure to come early or else you'll be waiting for hours. Main entrance is small and gets crowded.

Feed your hangover!

By Melanie D |

Best breakfast in Austin. We beat the morning weekend rush. My husband had the DON JUAN EL TACO GRANDE which he declared the best Tex Mex breakfast of his life. He literally bought the T-shirt.

AUstin Favorite!

By Sandie B |

Went for a late breakfast, I ordered a Don Juan El Taco Grande ($5.95) and my husband ordered Huevos Rancheros ($8.99) with a side of Chorizo ($1.99). My breakfast burrito covered my floured tortilla to Where you could not even see the floured tortilla, I asked for extra floured tortillas and after filling 2 floured tortillas with quite a bit, I had only used maybe a third of what was on my plate...2 people could easily have their fill on the one plate. My husband was more than pleased with his huevos rancheros Juan In A Million is a long time favorite of the Austin crowd, and I will definetly return!

Cured our hangover

By Cynthia S |

Stopped here to eat late breakfast before heading back home on a Sunday after a crazy fun filled weekend of partying. Was pretty busy and had a small wait time. Food was great very filling. Will stop by again next visit to Austin

AMAZING BREAKFAST

Our beautiful friends that live in Austin showed us the best time while we were there. They took us to all of their favorite places. Juan in a Million was one of them. We went for breakfast. I HIGHLY recommend the Big Breakfast Taco. My friend added beans to hers and I wish I had too BUT I was not disappointed. I left there Thanksgiving full and it was only $32 for the 4 of us! The service was amazing! They were so friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated that. We have been home for 2 weeks and we still talk about that meal.

Best meal we had in Austin!

By southerncanuck |

Loved this place. It was the cheapest and best meal we had while in Austin (and we ate a lot!). We went for a late breakfast during our stay. We walked 10+ blocks from our hotel through some run down housing (probably not for long) to get to Juans. Just a non-descript little place on the corner, but when you see a line to get in, you know there's a reason. We were met at the door by Juan himself to take our name. He was super friendly and gave everyone a firm handshake and greeting. If only every business started interactions this way, the world would be a better place! The wait was short and we were seated and got drinks and salsa and chips. One of the best salsas ever! Great flavor and kick to get things going. Great menu of tacos, etc. Food was quick to serve and was simply outstanding. It was very simple, no fancy extras, but the flavor was incredible. It would be hard to find much better. Just a great atmosphere and attitude of the staff and everyone that left was smiling, and for good reason. Simply a 'must go' place while in Austin! Gracias Juan!

Fast and Delicious

By Icarus4335 |

Went for breakfast. Food came out super quick, everything was excellent. The Carne Quisada and refried beans were dynamite. Breakfast Tacos also fantastic. Service was excellent too.

I Juan-a come back soon

By noodles30 |

There's a reason its hard to find a parking spot at Juan in a Million. Once you step inside this place you are instantly greeted with yummy smells and good feels as if you were instantly transported to a cute little taqueria in Mexico. After looking at the menu, you realize you can eat like a king for less than ten dollars. Tacos were great - perfect little Tex Mex goodness. I went with two bean, cheese, potato and bacon and I had a hard time finishing the last one because of the heaping serving. We went on a Tuesday morning and the place was pretty full, some tables of patrons looked casual while others held people all dressed for meetings over tortillas and eggs. If you order the Don Juan - bring an appetite or a friend. It was a huge tower of food.

Exellent experience

Fantastic breakfast and lunch spot. We wanted an authentic Mexican breakfast and Juan in a Million did not disappoint.

Catered our sons wedding

By Bonnie H |

Thank you for the good service at our sons wedding recently. Your staff was friendly , efficient, and nice to work with. Everyone liked the meal and we had plenty left for seconds and even to take home! It’s not always easy planning for catering when you live in Oregon and are getting married in Texas!

Cheap Tex Mex

By Sweet&Salty |

I've been told I should eat Tex Mex because why not? We were in Texas after all. So, consider this an obligatory meal more than anything. We were brightly greeted by the owner himself as he said "Welcome, come on in!". He shook our hands before asking us how many were in our party. Talk about warm hospitality. From that and the servers calling customers by name, I instantly knew they were not just famous to visitors but to locals as well. $6 for a behemoth of a dish called DON JUAN TACO EL GRANDE is the most popular thing on the menu. It's a mixture of potato, egg, bacon, and cheese on a tortilla that could easily feed two mouths. Make sure to add guac for that extra something, something. If you ask me, I think the price is what makes this special, otherwise, everything about it is pedestrian. By a mile, I preferred the CHORIZO w/ EGG TACO ($2.69) when it came to flavor. While they had unlimited chips and salsa on the house, we also ordered their QUESO which turned out to be really tasty but very watery. Not my best meal on this trip but I guess you can say I had Tex Mex while in Austin..

Not for vegetarians, uninspiring overall

By PlanetMoores |

Love the place, the atmosphere, the service too. But vegetarians have few choices and those are boring. Refried beans are heavy with meat flavor. Salad is shredded iceberg lettuce and unripe tomatoes. Meat eater unimpressed as well—nothing special about the special. It is so popular—not sure why, not for the food we had.

Best Menudo In Austin, TX

By Roy735 |

We went to 'Juan In A Million' yesterday to have Menudo again. We were treated superbly and seated quickly. The waitress was very attentive and nice and the food was excellent. They're making the best Menudo we've ever had. Thanks, we really enjoyed lunch yesterday.

Great Value

By HenryCan5 |

My college age son and I were in Austin and based on the reviews and proximity to an event we were going to decided to stop in. We ordered the special to share and a couple of breakfast tacos as well...turns out the one special and a few extra tortillas was more than enough for the two of us! We left with both the extra tacos we ordered, full and happy! I think it was about $15 total including a coffee, tax and tip! AMAZING price for the food we got, all that and a chill, relaxed atmosphere. Juan is really one in a million :-)

A must-visit, thanks to Food Network!

By Paolo M |

We had a good time despite it was a bit late for lunch (2.30 PM): I particularly appreciated the courtesy of the staff, because they served us quickly with nachos and salsa while we awaited for our special Taco. It was really big as seen on the TV! And pretty delicious, too! We had it with 2 Dos Equis beers and lots of tap water, and everything was ok!

Amazing Service and Food

By Maura H |

Breakfast of chips, salsa and breakfast tacos! Cheap eats that were more than enough food to get you through the day. Would be easy to share. We had no wait to be seated in the outside area. Service was quick and food came quickly.

Friendly Staff and Full Tacos

By Anna Whiteside |

The staff was incredibly friendly and gave large portions of tacos and drinks (i.e. the iced tea came in massive cups and with free refills). Although the menu had plentiful options for food and drinks, the star had to be the tacos that came out to be about $3 each. Our entire family got tacos which all came in flour tortillas and we all seemed to come to the conclusion at the end of the meal that 2 tacos were a good amount for one persons meal. Even at 11am, Juan in a Million seemed to be a local favorite and was already pretty full... but more seating was available so while seats wouldn’t be a problem, it created a pretty loud atmosphere. Every table gets an endless bowl of chips and salsa but beware, the salsa (although delicious) is spicy enough to take the unaware by surprise. Overall this is a great place to take family and friends for delicious Mexican food without breaking the bank!

Authentic experience!

By GMc |

If you are looking for authentic Tex Mex you should NOT miss Juan in a Million! Great food, service, and value to boot! Best recommendation Don Juan taco!!

Don’t miss this breakfast spot!

By Kelli |

I went with friends for breakfast one morning after seeing this place on Man v. Food. The Don Juan breakfast taco is perfection! It’s more than I can eat, which is saying a lot because that’s not a problem I often have. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and the food itself was fresh and flavorful. This is a new stop for me on all future trips to Austin.

Excellent breakfast

By NickSFCB |

We ate in here on a Sunday morning, the receptionist at the hotel we were stopping at had recommended the restaurant to us. The restaurant is quite big, and has lots of tables, all of which were full. We didn't have to wait to be seated. The server was great, bought us some tortilla chips and a salsa which was spicy but not unbearable. As it was breakfast I had the huevos con chorizo. Which consisted of 2 scrambled eggs, chorizo, hash browns and 2 tortillas. The food was very good, lots of flavour and very filling. It cost less than $20 for 2 of us to have a good filling breakfast. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting/ living in Austin.

Loved it

By Michael D |

Went this past weekend and loved it. Truly solid food, loved the breakfasts we had, very large portions and fast service. Be ready to wait a while on the weekends but well worth it. The place could use a bit of dusting up high, but most of my focus was on eating.

Not pet friendly

By Stella55711 |

Despite appearing on a list of Top 10 pet-friendly Austin restaurants, we were disappointed to be gruffly told by the hostess that no pets were allowed. Plenty of other options in the area that are pet friendly.

Good hearty breakfast tacos

By wquinps |

Get the big breakfast taco and it’s enough to hold you until dinner! Sauce was good and spicy. Easy to order and pick up. Super fast !!

Mother’s Day Meal

By KMB |

This place has been on my Austin list for several years. Kind of a hole in the wall but bigger than it looks from the outside. The food and service were great and there was no wait. I’ll be back for sure!

Amazing cure for hangovers

By Samantha K |

The food was great and on my way home from the river in San Marcos and it cured my sickness from being on the river all day the day before. My friends enjoyed it as well. They have great lunch and breakfast and very nice service.

Best breakfast tacos of my life!

By EKS |

Several people recommended Juan's to us, so we were really excited to try it out. It lives up to its famous reputation. The breakfast tacos are amazing!! I wish I could eat them every morning.

Handicap accessibility

By pammie11272 |

Although the food was great the review is about the handicap accessibility of the restaurant. Access into the restaurants was easy but maneuverability around the restaurant was very, very limited. The restaurant is extremely small leaving little to no room for power chairs, wheelchairs or scooters. Because the restaurant was so small I never attempted to access the bathroom so I have no idea if it's even handicap accessible.

Great Service, average food

By porter_osborne |

This is a tough review to write. The folks running the place are nice and wait staff was very attentive even on a busy Sat AM. Had a brief wait, which was anticipated and no problem. Our party of three was Seated in a booth that was pretty tiny. The migas portion was large and more than I should have eaten. So this breakfast lasted me until supper-time, although my teenage nephew ha to have a P-Terry burger around 3. I like Tex-Mex a bit on the spicy side, and the food was really not seasoned at all.

Yummy!

By Slpchic |

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was thee place to be. We got there before the rush and sat in the patio. The food was great! I had the Don Juan breakfast taco and it was massive. So much food but very tasty. Definitely would go here again.

Delicious breakfast!

By BlondeSquadMom |

Our teenagers were thrilled to have chips and queso for breakfast! The Bellman at our hotel recommended this place. It was very good, the staff was friendly, and they gave us so much food! We enjoyed the breakfast tacos.

Amazing breakfast tacos!

By Holly B |

Had a don juan el grande taco, its HUGE. Enough filling for 4 tacos. Delicious. Also had a small side of guacamole, a bit plain but mix in some of the spicey table salsa and its solid.

BUSY PLACE! GREAT FOOD!

By ElaineR |

Fun place to go for a great breakfast. Very busy, but lots of seating plus an extensive menu for other meals too. Fast service, very friendly staff.

True authentic mexican

By MsDun |

Everything was delicious! Especially the margaritas! I did find the salsa a little too spicy for me, but still very good. And did I mention the margs? Lol

Fast, tasty, filling

By Jon L |

All the things you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant like this. No frills menu, with all the flavor you'd want. Enchiladas were fresh and packed with chicken. Egg dishes were fresh. House salsa was very good with just a bit of heat. Very good refried beans.

Excellent brunch

By cjptara |

This place is huge and has fast & friendly service! Our group of 6 was there on Easter Sunday and only had to wait about 5 minutes. Food was served in generous portions and was very good. Highly recommended!

Oh! The flavor! Fantastic breakfast!

By Amy Travels |

No wait when we arrived at 8 a.m., but a huge lineup when we drove by again at 10 a.m. on this Saturday morning. The chorizo and juevos was to die for! The flavors were amazing. They actually serve tortilla chips and salsa before you meal — something I’ve never had at breakfasts time before. The salsa was delicious with a nice kick! Service was great; portions were more than enough... we will return if in the area some time in the future.

Hit or Miss

By TallyHoHoHo |

We have enjoyed our visits here over the years, but today's visit wasn't as happy. The "Juan in a Million" breakfast was as huge as it usually has been, but dry and tasteless. Our server was very curt and unfriendly. Sadly, I think I'm done making the trip across Austin and hassling with traffic for a meal here.

Excellent Breakfast Tacos -- Where the Locals Go

By SCalCanz |

The chorizo and egg, and beans and egg breakfast tacos were excellent. The coffee was good, too, and the service was fast--even when a mistake was made. My wife had the Don Juan special breakfast taco and it was more than one person could eat. Go early and often!

Great Food, Great prices

By Gidgetglam |

We wanted a place to break up the BBQ we had consumed over the weekend in Austin, and this place did not disappoint. My husband had enchiladas and I had a couple of tacos. Everything was really good. I didn't realize what I was ordering when I ordered the Don Juan. It was massive and I ate maybe 1/4 of it. (There are other egg and potato tacos on the menu if you don't have a massive appetite.) The chips and salsa were abundent. I think our favorite part was when the owner/manager thanked us for the visit. It made the ride out there worth it .

Never Again

By Christine A |

I am a migas gal and a while back after reading the reviews, hearing all the "I love the Don Juan" hoopla and of course the cute name I had high hopes. I ordered migas--ugh--3 mounds of mush on a plate. I'm serious. Like the mounds had all been removed from big pans with an ice cream scoop. Pale yellow eggs, light brown refried beans and pallid potatoes. Not good. Seriously not good. Skip this place and find a Torchy's, for God's sake, and order some fresh delicious tacos. I gave the place 2 stars for the friendly owner and staff.

WOW!!

By shannon c |

Well, we found our Austin breakfast spot! We visit Austin occasionally and love discovering the local restaurants. I have two hungry teenage boys who couldn’t even finish their tacos. They are amazing - better than any we’ve had. The chips are awesome too. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Service is Not Good

By Waunderlust |

The chicken taco has great taste, so does the carne guisada. Service is not good. Waited a very long time just for drinks and chips. Waited even longer for straws, we had to ask another server for straws since our server was chitchatting with other coworkers laughing and just standing there looking at the floor. No smile, nothing. It really wasn’t very busy in here. We would’ve understood had the server been busy, but she just stood there. It was weird. We asked for straws and she walked away and stood laughing and joking w coworkers for a long time. Completely forgot we asked for anything at all. My sister bit into multiple rocks. We showed our server, she handled it well and said yes they’re rocks, probably from the beans. Traded it out for potato instead. Those potatoes were so good. We came here after seeing it had been on TV, but really weren’t expecting this type service. The food is good, but service we received was bad. The service everywhere else was great!! Maybe it was just our server. When we paid, the guy was super nice and comped my sister the queso because she bit into those rocks. That alone makes me give this place 3 stars instead of 1. Like I said, maybe it was just our server. Everyone else seemed real friendly.

Will make you full

By Tracy C |

Shared a plate with another person and both of us were full and good atmosphere the owner greeted us on our way out.

Great & delicious

By Stefan G |

This was my last stop before the airport and it will be the first when I come back to Austin. Had chicken tacos with rice and beans. Great food, delicious taste. Made with love and passion.

Solid Mexican breakfast

By mark k |

Breakfast was very satisfying with good sized portions. The tortillas were particularly good. Staff was friendly and lots of seating. Would recommend for a traditional Mexican breakfast

Authentic. Great Service. Great Food.

By periphery10 |

We were in town for a wedding and the groom's family treated several of us to breakfast at Juan in a Million's before we all scattered our separate ways. It was outstanding! I had a bowl of menudo and it was just like my mother-in-law used to make. I also had the barbacoa, and it was really, really tasty. A few folks had the con queso breakfast and they all loved it! The place was packed on that Sunday morning, but the waitstaff managed to keep a smile and keep the coffee coming! Wouldn't hesitate to go back should I ever be in Austin.

Ok migas, but not the best I’ve had

By J W M |

Was told this place had good migas so couldn't wait to try it out. I found the migas to be ok, not great. Just didn't have the range of flavor I enjoy so much. I do have to admit my expectations are high. I always do favors for my sister in law so she will fix me migas :-) I hesitated to state this as it could be construed all wrong. So, good not great.

Love this place

By Michele D |

We love eating breakfast here, my Husband and I always order the Don Juan Taco Grande and split it by asking for extra tortillas on the side and a side of refried beans. We visit Austin many times through out the year and we always make Juan in a Million a breakfast go to while visiting.

Definitely a One in a Million Experience…

By Veronica J |

Management has lost complete sight of the quality of the food and the service. My boyfriend wanted to come here - he had rave reviews and memories of eating here years ago. I ordered 2 breakfast tacos that came out completely cold - both what was in the tacos and the tortillas themselves. I let the waitress know the tacos were cold- she said they were pre-made and there is nothing she can do and would I like to order something else. I suggested she put them in the microwave. So they microwaved my pre-made tacos- tortillas tasted pre made and rubbery- and the potato and egg was definitely old and had been sitting out. Reading about the family that started the restaurant - I was excited to try it— especially as my family has an award winning taqueria in Houston for 4 decades- but I was overwhelmingly disappointed. I will never return. Our entire breakfast was $50- you would think they would have offered to comp my 2 cold, old tacos, but nope.

Surpassed our Expectations

By Theresa S. |

We had asked for an authentic Taco and the hotel recommended Juan in a Million. We were greeted by the owner with a huge smile, handshake and warm welcome. He made you feel like you were a guest in his home. He introduced our server and told us she was one of the best on his team and we were lucky to have her. How do you think that made her feel too? Great employee engagement. Service was excellent and the food was very good. Complimentary nacho's and salsa to start, entrees served hot and large portions. It was great to see a variety of Mexican beers on the menu and awesome to have soft drinks in the can. They went out of there way to thank us for coming in and invited us to come again soon! Great Customer Experience.

An Austin must for Great Mexican!

By Blueskylove |

Weekend UTA visit. So happy to find this casual little Mexican restaurant. Wonderful service. Great food. Big servings. My boys loved it too. Friendly owner. Place has great vibe. We’ll be back.

Breakfast Tacos Made Right

By ChasMartel |

We chose this place because it was recommended by two different locals. Glad we heeded their guidance. We tried both the Migas and the Machacado Con Huevo and both were delicious and just right for breakfast tacos to go. If you want to sit down for a more hardy meal, both are offered as plate dishes. After sampling the fare offered here, it's easy to understand why it's so popular with the local folk.

Breakfast Tacos!

By Kelly B |

We went straight to Juan in a Million from the airport for our very first breakfast tacos; we got there at about 10:30 on Friday morning and were seated right away - yay! We both ordered one egg, potato & cheese taco and one migas with cheese taco. The chips and salsa are great and helped tide us over until we got our tacos but be careful if you’re delicate, the salsa is a little spicy! My favorite of the two tacos was the egg, potato & cheese; the potatoes are almost mashed which I was totally not expecting but really loved. My husband preferred the migas with cheese; he says he enjoyed the texture and the combination of the flavors. Juan in a Million definitely lives up to the hype - delicious, affordable food with fast, super friendly service!

Gem of a Find

By Rocknrareair |

We found this Austin delight purely by accident. Had a quick lunch, at an amazing value. I was tempted to try the Don Juan - but opted for a smaller portioned chicken fajita tacos, which was flavorful. My wife had the cheese enchilada special which was good too. Service was very good and thoughtful. Salsa has a nice kick. Fresh chips were great - crisp and not greasy. Definitely will visit again.

Breakfast taco and Don Juan

By drmader |

Breakfast taco is new to the California crowd so we liked this spot that my husband has frequented for years when he is in town...waaayy too much food for one sitting... but guacamole is fresh and good, the staff so sweet and the east side edgy environs is fun . Great spot to try as you explore super cool Austin... and the Don Juan t shirts were a hit w my people.

We lived in Austin for years

By Billie R |

We lived in Austin for years and sadly never made it over to Juan in a Million. Came back to visit family over the holidays and stopped in with the kids. Food and margaritas were great as well as the service. Juan was up front shaking hands. Such a great spot and very reasonably priced!

Authentic Food and Atmosphere

By D S |

Absolutely love this place for an authentic Tex Mex experience. People are friendly, food is fresh and the decor is.....well....authentic! Highly recommended.

Authentic Mexican food

By meme952 |

Got there Saturday morning 8:30 no wait service was prompt and friendly I had the don Juan taco it was good wish they would put retried beans on the bottom of the tortilla but that being said come hungry large portions good food. The Don Juan has everything mixed in eggs bacon potatoes tons of cheese. I loved their salsa tasted really fresh with a kick great with eggs . My husband had the chorizo con huevos it was good. Two coffees and two breakfast was $20.24 well worth it

Don Juan is amazing! Get here!

By Todd S |

From his handshake at the door you know you are going to be treated like family! This place is fantastic! The guac is super creamy and delicious. Breakfast tacos are the way to go! Don't miss this while in the ATX

Huge tacos!

By Toni Stark |

Quality and quantity are great here! Massive and cheap breakfast tacos that taste amazing; especially for the price!

Tipico

By ReefWatch |

Very Madre/Padre vibe in this Eastside no frills mexican joint. Fresh, tasty, speedy meals served with a smile. Loved the beans and sauces.

Delicious!

By Jennifer C |

It's a small, hole in the wall type restaurant, but those are the best kind sometimes! Juan in a Million was really good. I've lived in and around Austin my entire life and had never been to Juan in a Million only because it was way further south than where I live, but my daughter had an appointment close the area one morning so we stopped here for breakfast. We had an order of queso and I think I had the migas. It was really good and you definitely get your money's worth. I couldn't finish my plate and had to take the rest home. It's worth going out of the way for. Yummy!!

Check This Place Out

By rawilke |

Huge breakfast that won't empty your wallet! Try the Don Juan El Taco Grande! For $5.99 you get a giant plate of food that will easily feed two people. Be sure and ask for extra tortillas, you will need them to finish it. A true example of why good Texmex doesn't have to break the bank.!

Great breakfasts

By rkoches |

Excellent for a large group! Order ahead or request delivery! Something for everyone. Great about accommodating specific requests. Not your average breakfast taco. A real meal!

Best Breakfast

By jmhoward564 |

I've eaten at all kinds of places around the world and this was by far the best carne guisada I've ever had. I ordered the huevos con queso and it was amazing!

Food, service, ambience, all on point

By Mariesa C |

I came here twice during my short visit in Austin. Both times for breakfast tacos. The tacos are everything I want in a breakfast taco. I can choose flour or corn, I can get not super greasy chorizo, and I can order nopales. The tacos are packed with delicious filling and the tortillas are a good texture. Not only is the food satisfying, but the service is some of the most friendly and attentive service I’ve come across in a long time. It’s truly that local vibe we all want. We were greeted as soon as we stepped through the door, both times. The waitresses were quick to take our order, friendly, and checked on us just enough, and at the perfect times. This place, their food, and their staff, is special.

Yum! An amazing way to kick off the day.

By Aparna J |

My Lyft driver recommend Juan in a Million for brunch. I wanted to try it just for the quirky name! Great vegetarian options. I got the Migas since it seemed highly recommend by reviewers. Very good, huge portion. I also got their flN (I love flan and it's hard to fine). Amazing! I think that was really the cherry on top for me. Ambiance and staff were okay.

Breakfast on the cheep ...

By BlueRam14 |

This Austin standard lived up to its hype for a big breakfast. We all got the Don Juan El Taco Grande. My son devoured his, my wife and I split ours, and our daughter made it through about 2/3's of hers. This tanked us up until dinner and kept our tummies from growling during graduation at noon. Tasty, huge, and inexpensive. While we didn't have a wait at 8:30am on a Friday, our son did let us know he has seen lines out the door. Other items on the menu looked like they would also be good, so on the next visit we'll try the Migas or Huevos Rancheros. But you can't beat the price, quantity or taste of the Don Juan El Taco Grande.

Like you're family

By Melissa C |

Attentive staff, good food, the Don Juan grande is huge, my husband and I usually split one and order a few extra tortillas. The best part is the owner, everyone is family and he makes you feel like it genuinely made his day to see you.

Starts with a handshake

By mayjal |

We were greeted with the friendliest handshake which was surprised us all when we walked in. I got the huevos rancheros. I guess i was expecting a little more kick and flavor from Texas. My friends who ordered the beef items were raving. I also tried the chicken enchiladas. Now that was really tasty. The green sauce and tender chicken were really good. Also not much of a wait for a big group!

Excellent and fast meal!

By Kelly G |

I love Juan in a Million! I come here every time I’m in town for business. It is off the beaten path but real easy to find! You can definitely tell there is pride in this establishment! I can’t want to come back to Austin for their famous breakfast taco!

Mandatory stop for the famous breakfast tacos

By FrancescaR1986 |

Breakfast tacos! After seeing the place on Man vs Food, we went here for lunch. What can I say if not exceptional?!!! Fast and helpful service, they advised us to add tortillas to our breakfast tacos because they were very filling (absolutely correct advice). Really very low prices. It's an absolute must-see on a trip to Austin.

Filled us up on the way to the Final Four...

By DrewC_CT |

Seemed like everyone stopped here on the way to San Antonio. Like the fans of all the teams, each of the basic food groups represented here for breakfast - coffee, mimosas, eggs, bacon, potatoes, queso, refried beans, chips, salsa & soft shell tacos. Put it all together in a tortilla - heaven. And filling. Excellent friendly waitstaff too. A winner!

Don't go

By Dori M |

Don't waste your time. Food is okay. Service is okay. Restrooms are gaggers. Stinky, terrible. Austin has a multitude of restaurants, pass this one up.

Huge portions!

By HappyTravelerIAm |

We visited Juan in a Million for Sunday brunch. The place was busy, so I was expecting a long wait (we had a party of 9), but we were seated within minutes of arriving. They were very accommodating and quickly brought out two highchairs for the two babies in our party. The portions were huge - it seemed like a good deal for the price. I enjoyed my chicken quesadilla and the queso. The salsa was reeeaaaaaallllly spicy, though. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but it was completely full - be prepared to park on the street.

Great place for breakfast

By Mitch T |

We went around 10 am on a weekday and there was no waiting. The staff were friendly and the food came out fast. The DonJuan taco is quite a meal.
