Not Welcome

By Ilene L |

We arrived happy. Left 5 minutes later disgusted and disappointed. Senior citizens that were asked for ID! My husband had his ID but because I abstain from liquor consumption, I don’t often carry my ID with me. So we had to leave. We were visiting from Ontario, Canada and this restaurant was one of our destinations because of its history. Needless to say, we will never come back. The waitress was extremely rude, inconsiderate, impatient, and should not be in the service industry. We enjoyed a delicious Mexican meal a few doors down the street. We were not asked for ID, we were welcomed with smiles, kindness, and excellent service. And....that’s how it should be!

It's a Saloon and Restaurant

By HuggyBearHonolulu |

Cool old style saloon in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. Even though it's just a year old it looks like it's been there for a hundred years or more which is part of the appeal. Even on a Tuesday night it was busy with locals so that tells you something. The bartenders are cool, the drinks are eclectic and the food is FANTASTIC!

Darkly lit, salty food, uncaring staff

By Joan C |

Met a friend here for lunch recently. I asked for a cup of hot water and I was brought a cup of water not even pee warm. I had the shepherd's pie which looked awful and tasted about the same. It was nearly too salty to eat (for me) and if I had not been so hungry I would not have eaten it. I asked for a second cup of hot water and an indifferent server took away my cup and brought it back with coffee in it. When I mentioned it to the server who brought the check her response was "I didn't do it." So much for customer service. If you like dark, noisy bars with salty food you will like this place. This was my second time here and my first experience was similar; indifferent staff, not very good food. Next time we meet friends for lunch we will pick a different spot.

“The oldest saloon in Seattle” is how our hotel described it... and said it was fab....

By ShoMeTheWhirled |

.. and he was right.... and he’s missing out (having admitted he’s never actually been there, but sends his guests there ALL THE TIME! So first: the actual place looks pretty authentic. It looks like there’s a lot of the original furnishing and fixtures - all in great shape. It’s neighbourhood looks like it is full of trendy brew pubs and restaurants. We were able to walk the 4 blocks from our hotel. The waiter we had was great - he brought samples of both draft beers and ciders to help us choose. The menu is excellent and quite creative. Having lots of different choices and everting our group of 4 had was outstanding. The Shepherds Pie was wonderful. The Thai Noodle Salad with chicken blew me away. The Fish Taco’s were an appetizer but were filling enough for dinner. And the Tomato Basil soup was also perfect. Prices were very reasonable. If there is a negative, and I have to search hard to find one - its that there is no dessert menu. But... the upside is that there is a happy hour every day!! Don’t miss out on this great little spot.

Not the Pre-Covid Jules Mae's

By Discerning Consumer |

Pork was cold and lacked seasoning. Fried chicken in chicken and waffles burnt. Potato soup was delicious. This place lost the good menu and charm we had with the pre-Covid Jules Mae's. No more Dragon Wings and good service. They had one cook and one waitress/bartender for a packed bar. Meal was not worth the $50 bill for 2. They seem to be depending on the reputation of the previous management and the menu we all loved. Won't be going back until they start serving food that is of the quality we expect from Jules Maes and make sure they have enough staff to make sure food doesn't freeze on the counter waiting to be served.

Just what the doctor ordered

By RE10TIV |

Cold, grey, raining and in need of a warm bowl of goodness. This place was perfect for that. I had a pork stew with a little kick and a beer to wash it down. I wouldn't eat off the floors here, but the building feels authentic and real. Georgetown and this place were a nice little discovery.

It May Be Seattle,s Oldest Bar

By Mike O |

Jules Maes saloon is part of Seattle,s darker side of Seattle history located in George Town known for its hard drinking and soiled doves in Seattle,s early years as well as brewing industry.I used to have breakfast there every Saturday for about 25 years and was a well known lunch and drinking hang out for longshoreman .i was working in the trucking industry and buying breakfast and drinks got my trucks in and out of the waterfront with ease. The new Jules Maes is a lot more open and has a very different clientele and the food is good and thay have some good local beers and is well worth a visit if your in George Town. This visit was with fellow members of the Lewis & Clark chapter of the International Society of Appraisers on one of our monthly outing and meetings

This was a Find!

By ebcnaz |

Found a great little restaurant/pub that is funky in a great way with food just as great and less funky! :) No, really the food was great. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp and the fish tacos. Add in some beer & wine and happy tummys ensued.

best wedgie ever

By Patti W |

My husband enjoyed a Cuban stew, while I was looking for low carb. low sugar alternative. I enjoyed an amazing butter lettuce salad with cherry tomatoes salad that satisfied the low carb part of my diet. My downfall was that the salad was crowned with delicious balsamic glazed onions & bacon and expertly tossed with gorgonzola dressing, It was all so delicious!

It Was So-So

By Daniel M |

Went in for late lunch (4ísh) on a saturday w/ 2 other friends. We happened onto it from walking around the attraction street of various eateries and bars and the beatnik vintage market marked by # of trailers. Upon entering there was only one customer at the bar. We sat at one of the tables in the middle, since the booths seats were all ripped. Not appealing. We would have sat at one of the booths but all the seats upholstery was literally torn as if a party of wolves took place. Each had clawed tears down the middle. Very surprised management has not gotten around to fix it. I'm assuming that through the years men w/ hanging keys eventually started catching onto the upholstery and slowly making its rips. Other than that eyesore, the overall appearance is as if you're in an old western bar. Very dark soiled wood paneling. Rich dark woody bar. Not much hanging on the walls except some black n white photos of western era pioneers/cowboys. It's almost a bare room with simple booths, tables and a bar. Very open. Can see the kitchen space in the back corner where the cooking and dishwashing is visible and open to the public. We were greeted immediately. Drinks delivered promptly. Food ordered was Fish n Chips, Bacon/Cheeseburger and Grill Cheese. We had fries and tater tots to accompany the dish. She enjoyed her Fish Chips and my Cheeseburger was a good portion and thick. The meat itself was slightly overcooked. I would have preferred MR and then again they never asked how I wanted it cooked, so never sure these days when restaurants ask how you want the temps on the burgers. Her grill cheese looked thick and huge. The waitress had just started so she didn't know much about the menu and when the breakfast hours were. She never checked on how the food was cooked or how we were doing until the very end when you knew she was getting to the sentence of "I'll bring you your check". I think she failed on following up on food preparation earlier. So they serve breakfast on the weekends till 3pm. The menu had your basic list of burgers, a wing dish, some sandwiches to choose from, obviously fish n chips. I also saw a mac and cheese. The music heard was a variety from Frankie to some up tempo rock. It was nice, because most bars are blasting rock or heavy rock music. But this place was good in that department. Would we come back again? Probably, but we're not rushing out of the house for it. We still have to try other places on that street and we don't see ourselves coming frequently to the Georgetown commercial street. So it'll be awhile.

I'd drink here

By R0besP |

Pros: great atmosphere, the wallpaper, good selection of beers. Cons: It's not in my neighbourhood. I would hang out here every night.

Great pub!

By Myron D |

A wonderful vibe, fantastic beer list, and top notch service! Get the IPAs on tap and you won’t be let down.

Rain town retreat

By jw344 |

Jagerschnitzel rocked. They were out of spaetzel so we got mashed potatoes instead which was great because meh... spaetzel. It’s old, dark, with beat up walls, and upholstery that had its day in 1930, but I’d eat here again.

Going to "Julie Mays"

By irishohara |

Raised on the cusp of Georgetown just above the Olympic Foundry, Georgetown was my playground. My Irish family was as "George" as you could get. Members of St. George parish where my Dad was in the second graduating class of St. George School. He and his 4 sisters lived in a house that was on what is now the schools playground. His dad, Grampaw Joe, worked at Boeing plant one. When prohibition started he and his buddies made their own whiskey, sharing it with friends and neighbors to cover costs. Legend: One of the 3 or more "garage stills" blew up. Grampaw was said to have busted a few jaws at "Julie's" and various taverns in Georgetown. My Mom, and her sister and brother were raised in the same house as me, my three brothers and one sister, and also graduated from St. George, as did most of her first cousins from South Park. (a suburb of Georgetown) We were a close extended family. Our Neighbor, and father of 10 or so children, was a bartender at "Julie Mays". He was also related by marriage to the owners. It was also one of the few hard liquor bars in the area after prohibition. I was 11 yrs. old or so when my Uncle John, Mom's brother, took me into "Julie Mays" for a hamburger. It was my first peek into the bar area that was cut off by a mahogony paneled wall, with walk through openings at the front door side and the restaurant side. Seemed like every one new John, (that's another story). When I got back from 4 yrs. of Navy service (ours) I was 22 so I had the privilege to go on the other side of the "wall". You could just fit between the wall and the stools. The back bar was amazing. There was my neighbor taking my order for a drink. He didn't look too pleased to see me because he carded me, then grumped "What el you have." He still thought of me as that snot nosed kid, with the "devil in his eye". (That's another story.) I may have patronized and eaten there about 5 times before I left the Seattle area. On a recent visit (fall of 2008), my younger brother of Seattle and I went there to have a drink and some food. It is a lot different. Gone is the wall, and the cafe counter, and the kitchen has been moved to the back. The back bar is the same, but looks different. Must be the brighter lighting. A friend of mine had just rented a studio apt. down the block and the three of us chowed down. We walked around the g town for a while as I pointed out the old haunts, and what was in the old buildings as I was growing up. The soda fountain, ice cream parlor, SeaFirst bank, Manzo cleaners, Tacoma Screw, Cleveland, Georgetown, Happys, Beanies, taverns, the Mission theater, Griffin Fuel, where Franki and Joe's once stood, Budnick's Shoe repair, funeral home, Safeway, Tradewell, the bald butchers shop, and the bald guys barber shop. Where about the crash of a DC4 was, (I think it was a DC 4.) And the infamous Lucille Street wooden bridge that connected to the hill. Which I traversed at least a thousand times by foot and car. Mostly by foot.

worth a return trip!

you can't find anything negative to say about this place. Very good food and great prices. Good beers, full bar too. and good friendly service.

Don't get the Reuben

By wireleds888 |

A bunch of us went in there for a celebratory lunch the other day. Several of us ordered the Reuben Sandwich with Tater Tots. The Tater tots were good! The sandwich lacked a depth of flavor and maybe even provided my stomach with an excuse to complain. The other food looked reasonable and no one explicitly complained about their choices, thus the average rating. The staff took care of us well enough, so no complaints there. If you have the ability to choose, there may be other choices in Georgetown that might be as suitable.

Very Good Food and Ambience

By TerrenceLegault1st |

We loved the food, the ambience and the staff were very friendly. I ordered a hamburger (it was huge and delicious), my wife ordered the Club sandwich (a tonne of meat and delicious) and my sister-in-law ordered the, heck I can't remember what she ate, I was so "food drunk" :). I know she loved it as well. Friendly staff and you get to see the cooks prepare the food if you want to watch.

Nice place, good food lousy service

By EatingInEdinburgh |

We ate here on Nov 14th. Our server took our order for coffee and bought over two only just warm cups of coffee. We tried to get her attention but she seemed more interested in prancing around (red vest, tattoos over your back) instead of serving. Eventually another server took our order, and got some fresh coffee on the go. The food was good and if no one else knew what they were supposed to be doing the kitchen did. Ironically the initial server who didn't actually serve us had the audacity to come over and ask us if everything was ok, kind of walking off even before we had chance to answer. The other servers were fine. The place just seemed very disorganised.

great food in georgetown in seattle

By diane s |

The service can be uneven, but this is a relaxed friendly place with good food. About half the usual pub food, about half adventurous stuff that always works. I work in Georgetown and lunch here on a regular basis. Have taken friends here and they loved it.

Been there forever and still great!

By monlar |

Great local brew, really good not just bar food, perfect place to visit with friends!

George Town Closed

I have been eating and drinking at Jules Maes for about 30 years , in the old days it was all ways full of longshoremen but times change and so has the restaurant as well as the area .George Town is now a trendy area full of bars and eatery ,s as well as brewery,s but now closed due to the health situation .

Late dinner

By Spufi10 |

We went here for a late dinner on a Monday night as our hotel was right around the corner. The front of the bar looked just like it did a hundred years ago, although our waitress told us the original bar burned & all they were able to salvage was the bar itself. Still, it has an old feel to it. I ordered the black bean soup which was very good. My husband had the pork stew which was excellent! We didn't order any beer but my hubby had a well-made Manhattan. Our waitress also told us there used to be a tunnel below the bar during Prohibition where liquor was hauled. A fun place!

Don't judge by the looks, gourmet quality food in a rustic atmosphere.

By Softball_nut |

The food was so good here we went back a second time so we could try other dishes. Looks like your typical American style dark old bar but the food is way above pub grub. One of the best clam chowders I've ever had. The Dragon wings were amazing but be prepared for some serious heat. a really unique combination of sweet, ginger and habanero. Good drinks, nice selection of beers. Great service and reasonably priced. Look forward to returning when next in the area.

Good Lunch Great Atmosphere

By Leon T |

I met an old friend here for a late lunch on a visit to Seattle. I had their mac and cheese, my son had the steak sandwich and my friend was being healthy and had the lettuce wedge sandwich with chicken. All were tasty and came out promptly. Service was friendly and professional. Has a good beer selection. This an old saloon that has obviously been around forever. Long old school bar lots of booths. We had a great time. We ate at about 2:15 on a Monday afternoon, but my friend tells me it can get very hectic at lunch and in the evenings.

The answer is YES!!

By rbc709295 |

If the question is.... should we go to Jules Maes? The servers are friendly and AMAZING with the drinks and the food is delish bar food!! We ordered the chickpeas and the totchos. Absolutely worth coming back to try more (and often)

Great lunch in a cool place

By parisryan |

I take quit a few clients here and everyone always loves this funky find which is one Seattle's oldest bars. I personally think their blackened salmon Caesar with chipotle Caesar and toasted pumpkin seeds is one of the best salads I have ever eaten. They flash grill the romaine which gives it a nice extra flavor. The lamb burger and meatloaf sandwich seem to be what my clients rave about with a side of tater tots.

One of the best in Georgetown!

By bryan m |

One of my favorite go to's for business lunches in the Georgetown area. The service is fantastic and the menu has something for everybody. If you're headed here for lunch during the week try to get there before the noon hour before seating fills up.

Delicious food and beer in a vintage setting

By Marco W |

We stopped for lunch on the recommendation from the folks at Georgetown brewery. It's a neat setting in a turn of the century bar room. Service was friendly and prompt ; the food was delicious and filling. If you like Rueben sandwiches, try this. The red cabbage was delicious to balance the fatty corned beef. Messy and fantastic. They have a good select of craft beers on tap including Georgetown.

Always good food

By robin m |

The Jules Mae is a 'saloon' and as such is kind of funky, old chairs/tables, not the cleanest place in the world but I am always impressed with their food. We went for a late lunch so there were very few people in there, but the bartender/waitress was very attentive and quick. I ordered the special Cochinita Pibil sandwich. Cochinita Pibil is a Mexican pulled pork that is cooked with orange and achiote and others things. I have had it made by a Mexican neighbor and have made it myself. It is really good and Jules Mae did not disappoint. I had it with their famous tater tots and I could only eat half of each. My husband got one of the bacon cheeseburgers and it was great as usual.

Fun vintage pub atmosphere

By LTraveler99 |

They served one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had, and I have had a few. The drinks were good, I appreciated that the grapefruit juice didn't taste like it came from a can. The vintage atmosphere is was fun and comfortable, it would be nice if they reupholstered the seats on the benches as I think I was sat for a minute in the remnants of a past spilled drink that soaked into the exposed foam. Having recently become and over 50, often solo traveler, I have become aware of variance in service I often recieve. My water request was met with a small glass of water sans ice, the men at the tables next to me had large glasses with ice and lemon. It's not the water its the principal. And I do tip well.

Sio much better on doorstep

By Burma J |

Average Reuben, over cooked fish and chips. Service indifferent. Beer good. Don't bother since there are several really good and funky places within 3 minutes walk, bars and top-notch food. Dull and smug. Shame given the completion around.

Very good fish and chips!

By OregonCountry |

We were staying nearby, and chose this place to eat dinner out of all the offerings on Airport Way. The decor is old school saloon, with dark wood everywhere, and old photos of the neighborhood from the 40's or before. We were able to get a table right away on a Saturday night. I noticed they have a pool table and a ping pong table in the back. We started off with a salad which was fresh and tasty. I ordered the fish and chips ($14), which were cod. There were two large pieces (approx 6 oz each) of fish that were cut about an inch thick. It was some of the best cod fish and chips I've ever had! Almost as good as halibut. My wife ordered the Noodles Gigi ($15). She said they were really good, with a taste of hot chili pepper and sweet coconut milk blended with perfect rice noodles, big tender prawns and moist chicken breast! Yumm! I wasn't overly thrilled with their draft beer selection. They had IPA, IPA, IPA, and Kolsch (I think they had one other darker beer also). The Kolsch was fair, not a lot of flavor, but I don't like IPA so that's what I get. Service was great. We will go back if we're in the area again.

Just what they need, more business!!!

By feastmode |

Your not going to find better food, variety and service than you will at this Georgetown establishment. Burgers & fries with a twist; heck, the whole menu has a twist. Where else could I order a hummus plate and go nuts. Pork wings w/ mac & cheese? Yikes!!! Plenty of beer selections to wash it down. Cocktails too.

Old Bar, New Food

By JMCSTL |

My wife & I met a colleague at Jules Maes - reputedly "the oldest bar in Seattle" - for a late weekday lunch. It can be a challenge to access from north or southbound I-5, but the destination is worth the search. There's a parking lot out back, with additional parking along the south side street & on Airport Way South out front. This late 1800's saloon is very popular with social groups & coworkers from area businesses for lunch & happy hour gatherings, so it can get pretty loud with the high ceilings & large walls when a big group is seated. But the service is friendly & efficient, the menu offers good variety, and the food is well prepared. Our party of three enjoyed our fried cod sandwich & prime rib dip & Thai noodles dish, and the dark interior made for a relaxing meal (at least until a rowdy late afternoon crowd arrived). We would recommend Jules Maes for small or large parties, with food & drink options able to satisfy a wide variety of tastes.

Oldest saloon in Seattle

By BurienTraveler2014 |

Don't let the 100+ year old building stop you from entering. This place has character. It's old, historic, and charming. The lighting is awful very dark; it makes it hard to see the old safes, cash register, decor and more. Don't just stay up front, head to the back. In the back you'll find a pool table /.75 a game, a ping pong table / free and a few pinball machines / .25 per game. We had so much fun. Now for the food review, delicious! Only downfall, not enough fish. You get two pieces with your order of fish and chips, three would better. It's amazing. I liked my side salad because it wasn't made with iceberg lettuce. Our server went out of her way for us. Apparently, when you sit in the game room, you are responsible for getting your own drinks and placing your food order. When I went up to bar to get our drinks the gal working asked how many? I said four. So she walked back with me and took our beverage and food order. She even kept checking on us throughout our evening. Now that's service.

Better food than the setting would indicate

By QueenTraveler22 |

We sat in one of the back rooms with a large group, and the staff came to check on us frequently. It didn't look like the kind of place that you could get a good bibb lettuce salad, but it turns out that it is! My husband also liked his fish and chips.

Historic Seattle Bar

By Linda O |

Just visited for the first time and was happy with the delicious pub food and friendly, low key atmosphere. One of Seattle's oldest establishments, you can feel the history as you walk in. Vintage wallpaper, deer heads, & horns on the walls - it's not remotely elegant or updated in decor. But this is a comfortable joint to meet up with friends and according to locals, perhaps even some invisible guests from many years past. I enjoyed a yummy whiskey burger and a fantastic local dark beer.

tasty food and a good joint for nightlife.

Unexpected and excellent surprise

By Scott W |

At first glance, the building looks rundown, and questionable about any business inside. However, after that glance, and you walk through the doors, you will be pleasantly surprised. They have a very nice selection of local craft brews on tap ( I had the porter and the stout - both were very good), and the menu selections include bistro-type ingredients. The best way to describe it would be upscale pub food. I opted for the Whisky Burger (the whisky portion was a thick sauce made with whisky, and absolutely complimented the other ingredients nicely. Side option are the fries, or tater-tots, which is not a typical choice in any restaurant. Jules Maes will be on the list to visit again if I am in the area, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Seattle or the surrounding area.

Historic Saloon in Georgetown. Dark and cozy with a laid back vibe.🦌 Server was extremely nice and attentive. Food was excellent. Music was good. We will definitely be back.

Good food and beer

By August S |

Went in a group of 10. We ordered a variety of things. The bacon wrapped prawns were my favorite, the pork wings were good and quite spicy. The Dragon wings at first weren't bad and then they light you up. Good tots and fries. The Cuban sandwich was quite good. Good selection of craft beers on tap. Cool atmosphere - nice to see these old buildings being re-purposed. Overall , pretty cool place.

Best grilled cheese with...

By Vacation55657 |

Best grilled cheese with tater tots in Seattle, hands down. Awesome beers on tap.

Quintessential Seattle

By Michele S |

Some say this is the oldest bar in Seattle, it has A/C, great good, better service and a hip atmosphere. Where else can you get an amazing seared ahi sandwich and an ice cold Rainier? 😀

Wonderful Historical Bar

By SCHJAZ |

Visiting from FL with my son from NC, we wanted to visit the oldest bar in Seattle. What a treat. Interesting interior & super nice, attentive bartender-waitress. We tried martinis for the 1st time & they were great. My son also had another drink he had tried in Austin asperol spritz also great. We had the sunflower hummus which comes with wonderful pita, cucumber slices & carrots. Different very nutty flavor but good. Mozzarella sticks which are usually size of your finger were huge. Very delicious too.

Funky bar in a funky neighborhood

By KommissarKen |

From the front door Jules MAES looks small, but there is a large back room with screens for watching sports. Up front there are no screens, so it is more of a traditional bar. The menu is better than normal bar food. I had the pork mac 'n' cheese, which was rich and tasty. Jules MAES is near the center of Georgetown which is a counter-culture part of south Seattle.

Great option in Georgetown area

By David G |

Went to this saloon with some work friends for after work dinner. Food was really great and well priced. Everyone ordered different items and everyone was happy.

Just what we were looking for!

By Lilacmay |

Great place for a burger & beer. We decided to try it as part of a plan to diversify and get out to more Seattle restaurants. So glad we did. Had a late lunch on Friday, w a pitcher of Manny's. The burgers & fries were great. We weren't in any hurry and sat in a window table and watched the foot traffic. Dark bar atmosphere, friendly service. Not too noisy, although it might get crowded later in the evening. Definitely on our radar now!

Good food

By robin m |

Went for the first time to this long standing Georgetown saloon. The service was good. I had the pork 'wings' and the 'wedge' salad. The wings were excellent, had a great chipotle glaze. The salad was really good to but wasn't exactly a wedge. More like butter lettuce leave, which was fine, just not sure why the call it a wedge. My husband had a bacon cheese burger that was huge and tasted great. The tots were good as was the beef dip and salmon sandwich the others had. Overall, we were please with the entire experience and will return.

Phenomenal Find

By Robert C |

What a wonderful restaurant with a great staff, Our server Maggie was very helpful. I ordered a bowl of Gumbo and a grilled cheese sandwich. Maggie told me that most people can not finish a large bowl so I ordered a small bowl. She was right. The soup was delicious with just the right spice. The grilled cheese was huge. My wife had the Shepard's pie which she thought was great. We are here for only 4 days, but we will try to get back here for another meal.

Awesome Saloon!

By Luke C |

Old town rustic saloon with incredible food selection! Everything our group had was excellent. Great beer's on tap as well. Good for a lunch or casual Friday night dinner.

Burgers 👌👌

By MDB |

The burgers here are amazing. We had the Whiskey & Falafel burgers. Both were fantastic. When choosing a side I recomend the tots over the fries. Great service and lovely welcome.

Truly comfortable ambiance

By Lin01Seattle |

This place boasts one of the oldest bars in the state. We tried the Reuben (best I have ever eaten), the bacon cheeseburger and the albacore tuna sandwich. All were delicious. And you can't eat here without trying the tater tots. The staff is very attentive and cordial. The booth seats need a bit of attention. New seat covers might be in order for comfort. The beer selections are great as the owners support local breweries. All of Georgetown is worth exploring as it reinvents itself.

Had a great lunch

By Christopher B |

It is best described for me as a classy dive bar. The food, however, is far from a dive. The menu has high level ingredients and whimsical items. I had a special of the day which was a jambalaya. It mentioned with shrimp, mussels, white fish in a fennel broth which it had but I did not expect a whole filet of the fish! It was an awesome surprise to find this wonderful fish filet nestled in the layers of flavor. My waitress was so friendly and attentive. I also noticed there was back rooms one with pinball machines, ping pong, and a billiards table. Cool stuff! I will be back for lunch and want to go in the evening for some drinks and games.

Live Music for Sunday Brunch

By NaJ |

What? Live jazz/Blues Brunch on a Sunday? We met up with friends for Brunch and we so thrilled to find live music playing. It was amazing! We were so surprised this place wasn't packed with the Sunday Brunch Crowd. And Free parking all around. The website doesn't do Jules Mae justice. From reading flyers posted inside we found they have a rotating music/entertainment schedule including Trivia, Burlesque, Classic Pianist and or Blues&Jazz Sunday Brunch. The food and drinks remain strong too. And it's a fun stroll through the trailers to work off those drinks afterwards.

Best of the weekend

By Lindsay |

My husband and I were in Seattle for our anniversary and after a long day in downtown wanted to stick close to our Georgetown hotel for dinner. We chose Jules Mares on a whim and could not have been happier. I had the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. The bread was thick, crispy on the outside and soft on the middle. My husband had the chicken fried steak, which was also delicious. The green beans were my favorite part. We topped it off with a tasty Oktoberfest. On top of the remarkable food, our waitress was delightful. This will definitely be on our map the next time we're in town.

great ambiance

By SeanTravelz |

this is one of the oldest bars in Seattle the saloon style is very cool, service wasn't the best but the ambiance was great the tater tot dish was tasty

Don't let the outside turn you off

By Rita F |

We researched the place before going and decided we could walk from our hotel, and it was worth trying. Well after settling on a beer I had cannonball porter and my husband had a Chuckanut red, and both we delicious. We ordered the Jambalaya between us and it was way more than enough. We have had it in. New Orleans and man this was better, lots of bite but very well done, certainly recommended it.

The best TOTS in Seattle!

By Keli S |

Cozy, casual atmosphere and comfort food that never goes out of style. We come here often and always leave satisfied. Favorites are the lamb burger, Shepard's pie (with Brussies!), and crispy, mouth-watering fish and chips. Did I mention the TOTS? Plus draft beer and cider too!

great place to gather with friends and watch a Seahawks game

I love the atmosphere here..have gone with my daughter to watch a Seahawks game.....just seems like whenever I am in town...they lose!!!, but its such fun to watch a game there with my kid!!!
